Dermawerx Custom Tattoo

I just wanted to share the experience I had when I walked in hoping for a tattoo on very short-notice. I can’t remember his name, but the guy with the magical-awesome-beard was perfectly kind and happy to try and accommodate me, and to discuss what I wanted. Likely won’t be able to get work done here due to scheduling, but the willingness shown to help me out and the suggestions of other places to try out made an impression on me. So, thank you, Dermawerx, and especially thank you magic-awesome-beard guy!

This review is based on my experience attempting to schedule a piercing appointment. When I called the shop, they told me to contact the piercing artist via Facebook.I completely respect each artist’s booking processes. That said, when an artist fails to respond to messages, it is as frustrating as it is unprofessional.Communication has been erratic and frustrating. I don’t want to have to repeatedly chase someone down via their preferred contact method to try to schedule a service.I’ll take a hint and go elsewhere. When anyone asks for a recommendation, I’ll urge them to look elsewhere.

I brought my daughter in today to have her very first ear piercings done. Shanelle was very informative and explained everything to us both. I was highy impressed with the respect that my daughter was shown. The piercing went super smooth and my daughter is so incredibly happy! Thank you for accomodating our situation and concerns 😊 we will be visiting this establishment in the future!

I just wanna give a huge shout out to Shanelle for doing my nasal piercing! She is absolutely amazing. Does a great job is very friendly talks to youto you the whole time and makes you feel welcome! Thank you so much. I love my piercing! I absolutely recommend her.!❤️💯💋

Everybody who works there is so nice. And there work is incredible, I got a tattoo and Pearceing and both are great, they were clean and considered through out the whole proces.

We are about a month out from getting our 5.5 year old daughter’s ear’s pierced with Shanelle and it was an amazing experience! Her piercings never even turned red afterwards with following all of her hygiene recommendations. She was super clear with my daughter about what to expect and when. Couldn’t be happier about how this went!

They approach tattoos and piercings with a sanitation that exceeds some clinics in Helena.I did not get anything here, but have watched my friend get stuck like a pig.+4 stars for safe practice+1 stars for gremlin artifacts.

Shanelle is a great piercer! Had a bad piercing experience with another piercer in town (crooked septum), but Shanelle took her time and got it PERFECT. Got a nostril piercing at the same time, and she made both quick & painless. She was really good about sterilizing everything before it got anywhere near my face. Also gave easy to follow aftercare instructions. All around, the best experience Ive ever had with a piercer! Will definitely go back any time I need another one done!

Shanelle is the best! Professional, friendly and fun! I’ve had several piercings over the years and yesterday was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had. I highly recommend!! She double checks the measurements prior to piercing and walks you through the process. Ok I’ve NEVER had anyone measure prior to piercing, they just eyeballed it, didn’t even know that was a thing… anyhoo… if you are looking for a local place to have piercing done go here! And yes that’s a photo an hour after getting the second hole done in each ear. The first were from years and years ago. Thank you Shanelle!

Shanel was outstanding! the most friendly, professional, and down to earth person she made us feel very comfortable and she was super knowledgeable on everything she was doing there was a group of four of us and she did 7 piercings nose, belly, and ears. She did an amazing job with all of us I would highly recommend her.

What a wonderful experience! I got my first tattoo from Jamie at Dermawerx and I would 100% recommend her and the studio to anyone and everyone. The studio itself is clean, well-lit and comfortable. Each artist has a style they excel at, so go check out portfolios first. I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted and, after a thorough consultation, Jamie pulled that image from my brain and put it on my skin. Its worth repeating: I highly recommend Dermawerx and Jamie!

She’s very friendly and helpful with everything. Went in to get my right ear pierced to help stop my migraines and she dropped the rag she was using to wipe off a needle that she had used. My ear got Extremely infected and I think she hit the nerve because any time that I would try to move the bar that she insisted was used to pierce it with I felt nothing but pain. So I completely waisted my husband’s money! I don’t recommend going to this place for any kind of piercings.

Shanelle did a great job with 2 piercings she did on my daughters ear. She was friendly, professional, ans very thorough explaining aftercare. She made us comfortable, and we will definitely be back.

Went in to get some walk-in ear piercings with a friend. Shenelle was absolutely fantastic and had great customer service. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, answering all of our questions and giving us great suggestions. It was a wonderful and fun experience and we’ll definitely be going back again!

Went in end of august 2022 for a second nostril piercing from Shanelle at Just Another Hole. She is frick’n amazing! Very fast, clean, cool to talk with, and will definitely being going back for more piercings 🖤🖤

Amazing artists. So much talent in one place. They have 4 amazing artists each specializing in their own style of tattooing and art. Very professional , helpful and informative. I had just moved to Helena and asked for the best shop in town. I was pointed to Dermawerx and went in for a consult with Kyle. The shop itself is nothing short of amazing to just wonder around and look at the art but the entire staff made me feel welcome. Kyle listened to a general idea of what I wanted and we set an appointment to get started. I was impressed by how much work he put into just the preliminary drawing. Two sessions later I have a magazine worthy piece of art on my arm that gets admired everywhere I go. I was so happy with it that I went back to have his apprentice do a piece for me. I foresee many more visits to this incredible shop and never hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking new art.

Great experience. Chanelle and Kyle have awesome personalities for anything !! Have had five piercings all being great fun experiences full of laughter :) I would recommend them for any tattoo or piercings needs !! I will be a returning customer !!

Kyle Nelson has been my artist for 3 years now and has been working on my full sleeve. I have 18 tattoos and have been tattooed by 6 different artists in Hawaii, CT, and Montana. Out of every artist I have had work on my pieces, Kyle is by far the MOST talented. Not only is his work phenomenal, hes just a wonderful human being. He hosts DOZENS of benefits in the shop each year. Raising money for things ranging from cancer, to veterans. I would honestly say that hes a local hero in that sense and an all around good guy. Hes extremely accommodating, will work with you to get the tattoo exactly how you envisioned it in your mind. Hes always down to get some work in. His shop is full of fantastic artists as well. So if youre looking to get some beautiful grade-A art on your body thatll help tell your story and that youll take to your grave, look no further than Kyle Nelson. Hes pretty rad!!

Dermawerx is a clean and professional environment. I have had 3 tattoos and 1 piercing done at the shop. My tattoos were done by Kyle. He was very cautious about his equipment being sterile and informative about my tattoo after care. I knew I could be comfortable with calling and asking even the basic questions if I felt the need. I also liked that he put a lot of personal touch into his art. It was awesome that I could pitch my ideas to him and he could use his artistic ability to make each piece better than what I had imagined for myself. Each of the artists at Dermawerx are very professional and take great care of their customers. Their talent is beyond well worth the money you will spend for a spectacular tattoo.

Great experience, Kyle made me feel comfortable in a very clean environment. Had a double cover up, from past mistakes. I had multiple ideas on what I wanted for a final piece and he drew and executed exactly what I had pictured. I have received many compliments and will recommend him to anyone.

All the artists at Dermawerx are extremely talented. I love how patient each and everyone of them are with each customer so they get exactly what they want as close to perfection. Every time I have been into Dermawerx for a piercing, tattoo, or just to go check out the work each Artist has done, Ive been so welcomed. My BFF and I got matching memorial tattoos done by Jamie. She did a great job and even altered one of the tattoos by request at the last minute, making it even better. She was very clean and professional, definitely would recommend her and Dermawerx.

Amazing tattoo shop, owned by an amazing man, Kyle Nelson. He does incredible work, and always gives back to his community through frequent charity events which he organizes to help others in need or going through a rough time. Best shop around. Dont go anywhere else!

I got my first tattoo here and despite the artist himself not being very familiar with UAB and their mascot Blaze the dragon, he couldnt have done a better job! I absolutely love the work he did on my upper arm and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get their first tattoo or even their 50th. Very experienced artists and they will work with you.

Kyle is awesome. Spent 2 full day sessions with him. One of the coolest guys Ive met! Took my original idea, made some suggestions, and surpassed my expectations! Hes a true artist in every sense of the word! Cant say enough good things about him and his crew!

I had just recently got my tragus pierced at Dermawerx and Im glad that I went to that tattoo shop to do it. Michael was the name of my piercer and he was excellent. The people were really friendly and I had a great experience and will definitely go back again for further piercings and tattoos. The shop was definitely sterile and clean, and not dirty and nasty like some shops are. For any of you who are deciding on what tattoo shop to go to, you should definitely go to this one. I promise you that you wont be disappointed. Im sorry for those of you who thought the shop was degrading to woman, I didnt get that vibe at all.

I highly recommend this tattoo shop. Ive been going there for the last 2 years and I have gotten a total of 10 tattoos. I think they are very professional and a very clean establishment. I highly recommend stopping by and speaking with their professional staff. Dermawex puts on many fundraisers for local people in need. I think this speaks very highly of their morals and love of Helena and Montana.

Kyle has tattooed my chest with brilliant color! He nailed the shading as well as the highlights! Jamie has done my left side, right side, stomach as well as my ENTIRE back of which I couldnt be more proud to show off!

Ive been getting some work done by Kyle Nelson and damn. Phenomenal skill. Hes got a keen eye when it comes to placement and incorporating his style with what you have in mind. Such a solid artist with a great establishment.

My daughter loves your tattoos she have been to a few others but she prefers Dermawarx over any and I really like the work and time you put into your work I dont have any tattoos but my daughter has many and the microphone u did was amazing.

I am a 44 year old woman who went to Dermawerx for my first tattoo of significant size. My experience there was one of pure professionalism as well as being able to connect with the tattoo artist doing my ink. I think that Deric Miller is an extremely talented artist who deserves only the best of comments regarding the quality of his work...He made my time there seem to fly by and I enjoyed ever minute of the experience...I was almost dissapointed when I had to leave! Not only is Dermawerx a great place to get custom ink from amazing artists, but they go above and beyond to help members of the community in times of need. A great shop, with great people, in the greatest state!

Wanted to change a meaningful tattoo to something that I do not want. Too bad they are missing out on my business from now on. Dont get me wrong they were all very nice when meeting and talking to on the phone but when my idea was shown I was let down by yet another tattoo place. Wanted to keep my business local but guess not.

Derma works is in my opinion the beat tattoo shop in helena... very respectful, clean, friendly and everyone that works there is willing to help u get ur tattoo exactly how u are wanting it to look... I would not go to any other tattoo shop in helena... I love how kyle and the other artist treat their customers...

I came into this shop months ago and got something from Jamie Smith and the meaning of what I have means alot with my daily struggle. Clean, professional and all around good people that take care of you so its a good experience.
