Got my first 2 tattoos here and ready to go back Andrew and Zac did mine and were super awesome people!

Amanda has all three Michelin starts “ Exceptional tattoos, worth a special journey.” Fortunately I only live 50 miles away but when I move away I’ll have to start flying in. Well worth it.

Hands down the best tattoo shop ive ever experienced in Richmond, Va!! excellent job well done, very clean, and wonderful professional staff. Will definitely be back for more :)

I got my first tattoo here by Adam and he was fantastic! He was friendly, funny, and made the experience not as scary. The staff there have a great rapport too so they atmosphere was friendly and inviting. They allowed my husband to sit with me so I was thankful to have a guest. Overall wonderful experience! I will update the review if any complications arise, but it’s important to note Adam was thorough with aftercare instructions and how to contact him if something looks off while it heals. Thank you! :)

I have gotten two tattoos here from Amanda, and I honestly couldnt be more happy with the results. The pricing is very fair, and the service is top notch. I have talked to each employee at this establishment and you can tell that the customer is their top priority; everyone is so kind and welcoming. I could not recommend this place enough, seriously.

Got my tattoo done by Andrew Slater and am beyond happy with the service. Tattoo shops with friendly people and staff are (for some reason) hard to come by and the person I spoke to while booking my appointment was beyond helpful and informative.Andrew did a fantastic job with the design and gave me a lot of input for the final piece. He was very accommodating and gave me some great aftercare instructions. Price was very reasonable for my tattoo as well. Not much more you could ask for!Great environment, friendly atmosphere, and quality service. Will definitely be back.

Amazing! I went in for my very first Tattoo and got paired up with Zach. he was patient, explained everything perfectly and flexible with whatever I wanted done. The place is clean and as far as i could tell very sanitary (they used gloves and masks the entire time) pricing is worth the work and it was overall a great experience and the Tattoo was everything i wanted. I will be using them as my main Tattoo parlor for my future tattoos. Thanks again

I have had five tattoos done by Matt Nemeth at Lakeside Tattoo and could not be happier. His work is exceptional and I continue to drive from the Northern Virginia area to have them done. He is very responsive, on time, and prepared for every appointment. The shop has a great environment, as well. Clean, professional, and welcoming.

Stopped in here because I had recently gotten a tattoo (that was NOT by anyone at lakeside tattoo) that was not healing well.. a friend of mine tattooed me at my house. I was worried bc I had not had issues from any other tattoo, but this one got more painful as time went on, and it was on the back of my neck, so I couldnt assess it well myself. They were very professional and gave me great advice to take care of it, but warned me that it was going to be a rough heal. They were very nice and I cant stress enough how helpful they were. Im going to have them touch up and fix my tattoo now that it is healed, and will be getting any future tattoos at lakeside tattoo.

My sister and I came in to get two small tattoos this past Saturday. They were quick lineart tattoos, but we both are completely in love with them! Sean did both of our tattoos and was able to fit us in last minute on a Saturday no less, we were so grateful! The shop was clean and Sean was very professional, not too mention our conversations were awesome! (Great taste in music too, I got some great music recommendations as well as a good tattoo. :) ) If you are looking for a friendly and professional tattoo artist, pick Sean!

My wife and I made an appointment to see Andrew and Amanda to get our first tattoos ever. The experience was amazing. Andrew took care of me and Amanda took care of my wife. Both were amazingly friendly and professional, walking us through the process, answering our questions, and making us feel at ease. Not to mention their work was more than excellent! Their shop was spotless and they paid great attention to hygiene. I dont think we could have had a better first time experience. If you want an excellent tattoo done by highly talented and professional artists in a friendly and accommodating atmosphere Lakeside Tattoo Co. is the place to go in Richmond.

The tattoos look way too good, artists are way too accommodating, my tattoo looks so good it makes the rest of them look like garbage. Someone here has definitely figured out the cheat codes because it took less than an hour from walk-in to finish. 😉

Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, very professional environment. Clean with plenty of indicators thats its well sanitized in a COVID world. Eddie tattooed my left ankle with an owl and his work was terrific -- clean crisp lines, nice shade work, and obvious knowledge of how to care for the skin while he tattooed. He was also super considerate and great explaining follow-up care. Definitely looking forward to going back for another tattoo.

Tattoo artist Zac Clark is amazing. Not only does he do great work but he’s very thorough and makes sure that you’re happy with everything. I definitely recommend

Great shop. Shaun is a fantastic artist (not saying everyone else isnt, just the only one weve had experience with). Wife has gotten two tattoos from him recently and Im going in to start a big leg piece next week. Couldnt be more excited!

Andrew has done all of my tattoos (except my crummy black flag piece) and my experience has been great. He is honest and will keep your best interests in mind. Highly recommend for fans of flash and traditional but if thats not your thing (its not particularly mine) he is capable of other work and/or will recommend another great artist. Go see Andrew and his sister Amanda for your next tattoo.

As soon as I walked in I was approached by the owner with a smile! I got my first tattoo here by Rempe and he did an amazing job. If youre interested in traditional tattoos look no further than Lakeside even if youre interested in a different style please still check this place out! They have an artist for everyone. Every artist here is absolutely talented and thats not what made me fall in love with this place, but how friendly they all are. The atmosphere is great here, its very relaxed. I loved this place so much I got my second tattoo done 2 weeks after my first. Im definitely not going anywhere else than Lakeside.

This is my fourth tattoo and favorite so far. Richard was incredibly nice and I will definitely be going back! There is nothing uptight or uncomfortable about this place - a welcome change from everywhere Ive been. I would have paid more just because the experience was so good.

Went to Amanda to get a coverup done. She did such an amazing job, I have since had 2 more done by her with an appointment currently on the books for my third. One of the tatoos was of my late husbands handwriting. The tattoo matches his writing perfectly! Amanda not only does amazing work, she is also a wonderful person. I will never go to anyone else. Highly recommend her!

Have had a forearm sleeve done here over the last year or so by Tony. Great shop, feels very sterile/safe in the way the artists handle themselves and their equipment, and theyre really talented artists. Always good music going too.

Since weve moved here in Jan. We went here just out of spike t oget tattoo work and now we cant stop. My husband has gone to Rich at least 5 times since Jan. to let Rich work on him! Ive gotten one from him and his work has been the best work I have ever put on my body! LOVE THIS PLACE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Lakeside Tattoo is completely epic, I wandered in one night not long after they opened and Ive been going here ever since. The atomosphere is very relaxing and chill. The artists are all incredible and very laid-back, each one offering a style a little different or with their own twist. Theyre more than reasonable with the prices, and willing to work with you if youre interested in larger or multiple pieces. I highly recommend checking them out if youre interested in new ink.

I got tattood by an artist at this shop on April 24th. Definitely not my first tattoo. The tat looked great, but after a week, it started breaking out and itching, but I chocked it up to healing. The tattoo finished healing, but the rash did not. I went to 2 different doctors, one of which gave me steroids that cleared it up.After a couple weeks, it came back. I approached the artist directly to ask what brand of ink he used so I could determine whether I was allergic to it, but he would not tell me what he was using. I emailed the shop directly and asked, but got no response. Im now using topical steroids prescribed by a dermatologist on the area over a month later to heal the allergy breakout.I dont recommend the shop at all because they arent being up front about their supplies with customers. Just avoid the problem altogether.

They can’t do cover ups, can’t do piercings, they guys at the front was not better cause all he said was we cant do nothing about this, or about that. What can you do then? Then they want to charge us $300 to fix the smallest tattoo he had. Not cover it up, just fix it. That’s crazy

I got my first tattoo here and just went back to get 2 more done by Rich. He is awesome and patient great work. the shop is great laid back clean everyone there is nice makes u feel comfortable very reasonable pricing. Only shop i will go to!!

I went here the other day for my very first tattoo. Richard was my artist. I was nervous and had him redo the stencil for my tattoo like 3 times but he never made me feel bad about it. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming, while also hard at work. Oh, did I mention Richard did a sweeeeet a** job on my tatt?! He managed to get a line of text around my ribs to be straight and the finished text was perfectly done. No shaky hands here. Ive gotten so many compliments already on the quality of the tatt in general as well as the preciseness of the font. Thanks again!

I have been to Amanda twice now. Shes extremely talented and I highly recommend her. Her lines are super clean and her coloring/shading is perfect. Everyone in the shop is friendly and overall a nice, laid back environment.

My tattoo is nice but the guy was so beyond arrogant. He made me wait 2+ hours for him to draw up my tattoo in which I paid a$200 deposit for the appointment. I would think he would have started it when I made my appt two weeks prior. I will never return because he was such an a hole. I wouldnt have let him finish if it werent for losing my deposit. Didnt listen to what I had to say about my tattoo he just sumed it to me not being able to handle the pain not that I knew what colors went well together or not.

Great shop. Very clean and the staff is friendly. Tony Nos did my tattoo. He’s very skilled and easy to work with to bring ideas to life. Would definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for a new shop.

Setting the appointment was quick and easy, I got a reminder text a couple days before and I walked out with something better than I had envisioned! I sat with Andrew but if you look at everyones work you really cant go wrong with any of the artists on staff🤘

Went here for the recent Friday the 13th. They had an easy way to get set up to be in line for your tattoo. The tattoo was quick and painless, plus my artist was VERY nice. I will be coming again

Ive been to two different artists here. Both were fantastic. Matt and Amanda. Tattoos turned out great. Fast, professional, great art. I couldnt recommend this place enough.

I was in the shop today with my friend and the owner was very disrespectful. Another individual was the shop and was laughing at his tattoos. The owner made no effort to right this wrong. This is unacceptable conduct for a business. I would not take my business here.

Super friendly and professional people from the front desk to every artist I met. They have my favorite shop environment of any that I’ve been to in the Richmond area, and Rich did some top notch work.

Worked me in on a Saturday, I am deaf they were very accommodating and did wonderful work. My artist was Amanda and I could not have been more pleased with her work.

Was told to email tattoo description. Did that and 2 weeks have gone by with no response. Terrible customer service, and communication needs to be improved tremendously. Do better

You guys ruin people lives once they regret their choices are when they are having emotional problems. So messed up there isn’t a waiting period for to help people get themselves together. Don’t see how you live with yourselfs.

I went in with an idea and came out with a tattoo. I really liked the design they came up with based on what I brought. It was my first tattoo and the experience was good.
