I had several tattoos done by Stephen, he did a great job tattoos look really good I would keep coming for more. Kelly checked me in and asked me to sign the release form, Kelly was also very professional and very nice showed me the tattoo selection and prices. Both Kelly and Stephen are my top choices

Me and my daughter came and got several piercings by Kelly, she is very professional explaining everything about the jewelry and the piercings, how to take care of them afterwards too. She makes sure everything it’s clean and sanitized plus asked about any reactions or health issues. Kelly always asked me to sign in and fill the consent form for every time I go in, she is very nice even when she is very busy with a lot of customers she is always explaining to everyone the steps and waiting times.

Made a spontaneous decision on a family trip to get tattoos as a group and Skylar did a great job! You’re not gonna find a better value between price and quality in the area.

The guy was super late and seemed like he was on something. He pressed so hard into my skin that it was lightly bruised and extremely red. It was not a good experience AT ALL. I see why they offer free touch ups. The eyes of my ghost werent shaded in completely and over time my tattoo has bled so bad. He barely followed the template and its super messy. My tattoo wasnt the only one he messed up when I went with my friend group. The receptionist was super sweet though.

I came in with my partner and we got pierced by kellie, initially after reading the reviews we were pleased to meet her because the majority spoke about how sweet she was. Immediately upon entry she was fairly snappy and it was definitely a little uninviting. Once we got to the actual piercing room however she seemed pretty sweet, then again once we went back to the lobby she was again, fairly rude. My partner purchased two gold rings from here as well and not even within the first 24 hours they started to chip and now they’re completely silver. The jewelry was extremely overpriced ($15 per ring) and they didn’t even close all the way. The prices for the piercings themselves were great and our piercings are doing just fine, still had some things to note though.

Me and my daughter just went here to get our other side of our noses pierced and Rebecca was awesome. She was super friendly and inviting she made sure to Make us feel comfortable My daughter said she didnt even feel hers. Mine was in the thicker part of my nose so of course it hurt a little but she was awesome. Well definitely go back to her for future piercings

I go here almost once a week and I LOVE them as far as artists go I ONLY see Skyler he’s the best, friendly, funny, and just truly amazing at what he does, definitely the person to go to!

Called at 7:30pm to see what the policy was for walk ins. Called the number, he asked what shop, I said Hickory, he said walk ins are welcome until 8:30. No problem, we show up at 7:45, and are immediately told that we probably won’t be seen but to sign in and wait. Almost 2 hours later, we walk out. Poor communication; I don’t think the person answering the phone knew this particular shop was cutting off tattooing that early.

I got my first tattoo done by Skylar and my fourth lobe piercing by kelly. I went to Kelly to get my third lobes and she was really nice, but this time she seemed to have an attitude and seemed like she was irritated. I love my piercing and my tattoo, but I wish Skylar did the detailing a bit better.

Great place. Clean and cozy. The lady that does piercings has a great and down to earth character trait...most definitely will be back

Unhappy with the overall experience. The piercings I had (3 cartilage) came out okay and hopefully the heal well...The shop was playing a movie SUPER loud on a TV in the waiting area and I waited 15 min with 1 person in front of me.The lady doing piercings was from another shop and seemed confused and rushed. She had a huge hickey on her neck and made me pay up front. I paid for jewelry I did not receive and was given something I didnt want because there are no refunds. I wouldnt recommend it.

I went in Sunday and Rebecca did my lip piercing and she was so sweet she greeted me asked me if I needed a tattoo or piercing told her piercing she helped me scan the QR code and helped me fill out the consent form the overall experience was amazing! Definitely recommend!!!!

Sat for over three hours waiting to get my daughter a tattoo.. Her first. When we got there we were told that it would be about an hour. Ok no problem. I had to leave after waiting almost two. My daughter still sat there. When she asks how much longer she gets attitude. Not enough people for a ten dollar Tuesday. Now shes leaving with no tattoo. Even if we made an appointment we still wouldnt have been seen in any length of time. Good luck going here.

Tank did my husbands and my tattoos, and Kelly did my piercing. They are absolutely fantastic. We will not go anywhere else. They are so talented and detail oriented.

Hey I came in today and got a 2 tattoos from Skyler. I want it to be clear I am 100% happy with my tattoo. I wanted to ask Tank a question as it didnt quite look like the pic I wanted but Tank to really throw Skyler down and dog him. I wasnt upset, I think he did a great job. Tank I appreciated you talking with me but you actually made me feel way worse than better. I really do like the tats and feel like Skyler was a great artist. Im sorry if I made it worse than it was. I just want to be clear I am happy with my tattoo.

Kelly was rude and hateful, very unprofessional. We walked out because of her terrible attitude & constant breath blowing and eye rolling, not a good look for the shop. & NO , to assume I was a jerk OR not being honest shows you’re all delusional. We came in as a friend group and she immediately got mad because we came in at 7:45pm and apparently that was an issue, since they were “about to be done for the night” your people are the problem, not your customers.

Went on Saturday as a walk-in with a friend. After we waited an hour and half we decided we would come back another day to get our tattoos. We asked if we could schedule an appointment. The girl at the desk scheduled us for Wednesday at 5:15 and let us know that there would be 3 artists there at that time and that we wouldnt have much of a wait since we were scheduling the appointment. When my friend and I got there today at 5:15, the same girl who scheduled our appointment on Saturday told us to sign in and that there were several walk ins before us. I had asked how long since we scheduled an appointment and she said that since the shop does walk ins and appointments that it would be awhile because there were walk ins that have been there since 12 this afternoon. There isnt really much of a point making an appointment if you arent going to be tattooed at least somewhat close to the time you scheduled.

Definitely don’t recommend this place. They have staring problems they will literally look at you like you’re dumb. There’s a tattoo artist who is messed up on something so don’t recommend getting a tattoo done when someone is messed up trust me. I only recommend this place for pericings not tattoos thanks for reading! They’ll get mad if u don’t like it, like its ur fault

Had an eyebrow piercing by Rebecca she’s amazing and it looks great! Definitely recommend for people to go see her.

First she didn’t clean my nose before piercing it and the next day it was a struggle to get a simple text response back to which they said they were having phone trouble my piercing was completely crooked and there was no fixing it and I was asking if they could redo it and they text back saying yes and I asked how long I should wait and still haven’t heard anything back. I told the girl I was a diabetic and it needed to be one and done and she assured me she was the manager and she could do it, she was a nice girl but I’m not sure how professional this place is to be honest, they certainly don’t prioritize their mistakes professionally and fyi I have 14 other piercings this is the first one that was not cleaned before hand I was very willing to let them fix the mistake but I’m not begging them, I went here because it was closest to my house and I’m new to the area and after calling around to other places I think I’ll pay the extra money to go elsewhere. This is nothing against Rebecca my piercer it’s a complaint on how the company handled this

I am very very pleased with the work that they do there. Very friendly environment. Great workers. I have bad anxiety and just being there I didnt have no anxiety attacks or anything. They made me feel comfortable! Definitely will be going back!

Kelly was the sweetest! Went in with my mom and got 3 piercings and 5 tattoos (3 minis & 2 Halloween) for like $160 INCLUDING TIP!! 100% would recommend! Waited for about an 1hr or two but the environment makes it enjoyable! We’ll be returning soon!

This place is awesome ..staff are wonderful and friendly .. I got two piercings done by Kelly.. Kelly was extremely gentle , explained everything properly,very kind and informative .Im so very pleased with my Dermal and Monroe piercing.. Me an my sister were getting matching tattoos and were told they would be 200.00 for both and we waited for 3hrs, then we were about to get in chair and they told us it would be 360.00. I cant believe that they had us wait for 3hrs to do us that way

Just got my bearded dragon who passed away tattooed on my arm , they didnt use a stencil ,they used a dry paper towel to wipe the tattoo and it looks rushed but its sorta cute , they also didnt wrap it or give me a care sheet for it. I am slightly upset about how it turned out , as I showed them the photo I wanted of her done in a style found on Google. The staff was very nice and cool , its clean and the atmosphere is great. Im just disappointed about how much I spent on a not great tattoo

This is definitely the place to go for a tattoo. Ask for tank. Hes a damn good artist and did an amazing job on my tattoo. Very very happy with how it came out

I pulled up to this hidden gem in Hickory. I have gone down the street before and never noticed it. My friend and I went in and the experience was great. We both walked in and got the tattoos we wanted and prices were very affordable. Stephen was our artist and he did a great job on both of our tattoos. His line work is super clean and I’m so so happy with my tattoo. He is young which amazed us because of how good he already is at his age! I will definitely be back and I already told a few of my friends about this place!

This was great, I got a nose piercing and it didn’t hurt really at all and my piercer was so nice and talked me through it and the place was nice and clean, 10/10 I definitely recommend to come here!!

I have been to Tattoo factory in statesville 2 different times for tattoos. But I’m so glad we have one in hickory! Tank did a tiny tattoo for me he is super good! Perfect fine lines! And Kelly the body piercer there Is so so sweet and professional! I made an impulsive decision to get a piercing I was so nervous about she talked me through the whole time & made sure I was comfortable the whole time! She is Absolutely amazing! I recommend her to anyone! The place is a clean environment also.

Everyone in there is always so amazing! I’ve been tattooed by Hank and Steven and both of them are absolutely AMAZING! The prices are extremely affordable, I got a quote from another tattoo artist an hour away for a tattoo and he said it would cost me about 7-9 THOUSAND, but tank and Steven both said I could get the entire piece done for about 800-1,000. Will most DEFINITELY be returning!

I got my nose pierced by Kelly. She truly was a doll. Tomorrows my birthday and she invited me back for a small free tat. I couldnt be happier I picked them. Very kind staff.

I got 3 tattoos in one sitting for my birthday a little over 3 months ago the other 2 turned out good and I thought the one on the back of my neck did to till a close friend of mine pointed out that the moons above the snakes head are not shaped correctly at all .with me having my hair down constantly and not being able to see it my friend took a picture of it and the moons ar messed up .

Great work done with really great pricing! They were friendly and fast. My friend and I both got tiny tattoos, it went smoothly, with correct care (disinfectant, shaved, cream/lotion, etc). We will definitely be going back!

I come here often and Ive been tattooed by both tank and skyler while both are amazing artists I prefer skyler he is kind, funny, a wonderful artist and not to mention very fun to look at, he makes sure to make his clients comfortable by using comedy and building an amazing bond, all of these things as well as amazing talent make my experience the best every single time. If youre going to go PLEASE ask for Skyler and I guarantee youll come back

You get what you pay for. They usually have cheaper prices, but you also get cheap work. My tattoo literally looks like a kindergarten drew it. Its less than a year old and its completely faded. Messy lines, faded ink.

I love getting my tattoos from Tank!Hes always got a great personality. Makes the trip from SC worth it.Im not sure if management changed, but when I walked in Tuesday, the lady at the found had a great smile and a warm welcome.Definitely will be back as always.

Got this for friday the 13th. was really excited about a halloween tattoo. you get what you pay for i guess... or honestly less than what you pay for. should have listened to my dad when he said not to go, lol. trying to think of a coverup for this asap.

I came in today for a navel piercing. I was super nervous I sat in the chairs that were provided which were super comfy and helped calm my nerves. Kelley my piercer came to me directly asked what I wanted done and took me to the room. I asked her if it would hurt and she asked me what I have all had pierced and said how it would only hurt a little more than my ear, this is what I wanted for her to be serious with me it truly helped me get ready. She was super friendly and I was comfortable the whole time she is very good at what she does and I wasnt just a job for her to get in and out of her area she enjoys what she does and thats so good. I also loved the form I had to fill out it truly made me be like they are legit and going to give me great service which is what they did. Definetly coming back for more, also if you want a tattoo def come here one of the workers was double double checking everything for a client to make sure it was perfect for them and was like tell me if everything looks good this is gonna be here forever and thats what you want to hear someone to listen to you to make sure you love everything about it.

Had a family trip for a $10 tattoo. Before going I texted about visiting and received fast response. Upon arrival was greeted by Kelly. Very professional and friendly. They take the money UP FRONT, before you go back to the artist- so there were no surprises. I wasn’t told anything different by phone than in the shop. I did wait about two hours BUT walk in for $10 tattoos. Most shops I’ve went to lately to inquire have not been welcoming and a few I haven’t seen past their entrance. Here you can walk right in and see the area. I had my kids with me and they just chilled out. This shop is in an older building so it’s going to have that older building smell. Other clients also go out to smoke- the shop can’t control smells the clients bring in with them. The shop was clean and they’ve fixed it up nicely.Tank did my tattoo. He did free hand the image but when finished it was exactly what I picked. It didn’t take him long at all.There were repeat clients coming in and offering to bring them back dinner. Their regulars seem to be like family to them.

I called and ask about pricing for me and my daughters matching tattoo. Small tattoos with just lettering. I told them the wording we wanted and was quoted $45 each. We went on July 9th. When we got there the guy checking us in was rude. The tattoo artist was sleeping (snoring loudly) we should have walked out but it was my daughter’s 18th birthday and she wanted her first tattoo. We paid cash but was told it would be $100 each instead of the $45 quoted. Again should have walked out but since my daughter wanted it we didn’t. Tank was the artist and he printed it and showed it to us and it was 4 times bigger than what we had given them that we wanted. He said his printer wouldn’t print it smaller. I then said we would go somewhere else because we didn’t want it that big. He worked with it a little more and got it small enough. Mine is 1.5” x 1” on my wrist. My daughter got the same thing on her arm. Tank was nice and he is the only reason I am giving this 2 stars rather than 1. Later saw the pricing on the website and we were charged way more than the price on the website states. It isn’t even close to fist sized and it took 3 and a half minutes to do. I know because I videoed my daughter getting it since it was her first tattoo. It shouldn’t have cost $200 for 7 minutes of work and 2 small tattoos. Also it was placed crooked on my wrist which wasn’t obvious from the angle I was looking at it with the stencil. would not recommend.

My boyfriend and I went in originally just to get my septum done, my mom tagged along as well. My mom decided to get the side of her nose pierced with me. Everything was amazing. Rebecca was very nice and comforting considering that I was honestly very nervous. She was gentle while piercing me and talked me through it. After I finished my septum piercing and went out to my boyfriend he had decided that he wanted to get his first tattoo. The artist Tank did him a UFO, Tank went above and beyond with this tattoo. Was very nice and engaged with us well. Overall this first time experience was awesome! Will be back!!

Took my sister here to get her bridge pierced . The place is a little outdated , but the person that did her piercing was such a sweetheart ! It was clean and quick . Will definitely return for future piercings and potential tattoos . Its really decently priced . Give them a shot ! We found out about this place bc they handed my sister a promotional free tattoo card , otherwise its easy to miss as its kind of hidden and in a random location . Lets try to make this place more known ! 🖤 wish I would have gotten her name , so nice .

Very nice staff, did open about 12:20 on a Thursday. My tattoo was done by Danny and he did excellent, it was my first tattoo and he was very kind to me and careful because I was very nervous about the pain. I would 100% recommend getting a tattoo here, it is very clean and my tattoo looks great!

1st tattoo definitely happy, took less then 2 minutes.This place is ALWAYS SLAMMED, the guys were super polite and apologetic for the 6hr wait.

First off I just want to say my experience was great as soon as I walked in everyone greeted me by say hey how are you the lady helped me sign in because my phone had trouble scanning the qr code.after I got done filling that out she told me to come follow her into the piercing room and to have a seat I was so scared of getting my nose pierced because so many people told me it hurt she explained everything she was doing she asked me how my day has been and was talking to me the entire time it made me feel so much better and relaxed I honestly say it didnt hurt she was quick and easy I will definitely be back to get more !! I highly recommend this shop they are just so sweet when u walk in I loved it they also have amazing Christmas deals going on my entire experience I would say from scale 1-10 it was a 10 Im very satisfied!

Staff is rude, bad tattoos in a lot of cases. Its a 50/50 flip on whether or not youre gonna get a good tattoo, dont matter whose doing them there. Cant speak on the piercings, but wouldnt recommend this shop for tattooing.

Tank gave me and my friend the worst tattoos we have ever had. I asked for a basic ship wheel design which the woman told me would be $25. When tank drew it on me he then changed the price to $45 which was fine but just unexpected. He didn’t speak to me or update me the entire time he was tattooing me and he kept wiping with a dry paper towel which in all my 6 large tattoos my other tattoo artist (at Smoore ink in Dallas) never did, they always used wet which wasn’t near as painful as dry. That hurt badly. Once done, I asked him to take a picture of the tattoo and I was extremely disappointed. The ship wheel wasn’t even centered and he tattooed over a mole under my ear which was extra painful and could have been avoided. I was really mad. He then did the $10 tattoos on my friends hands and didn’t even use a stencil. And he was really disappointed in them as well. Do these really look like good tattoos to anyone? I don’t think so. I’m paying over $120 to get these fixed at my reputable tattoo artist which I’m never going anywhere else again. Do not go here and do NOT let tank tattoo you.(I’m not from Smoore ink, I’m simply a customer)

I went on 11/21 for birthday to get a tattoo!!! Daniel was my artist and I must say he was very kind,listened to what I was looking for and the size I wanted..Very professional in my opinion.. The shop was clean,everyone was friendly and made you feel comfortable… I noticed some one said in their review that she never saw them sanitize any thing… Well I can honestly say that they did sanitize everything after finishing a tattoo and before starting on someone else… I would highly recommend them for a tattoo….the picture I added is about 10 minutes after the tattoo was done…

My friends and I went here for my birthday! The service was awesome, all the employees were such a vibe and really did their best to make sure we were comfortable. They even stayed after the shop closed to finish up our tattoos and kept us entertained. I will definitely be going back here. Ive been twice, and both times the shop was extremely clean and everyone was friendly. Gary pierced my tragus and my helix for me, allowing me to pick out my jewelry and ensuring I was happy and comfortable with the whole experience. When I came back a week later to change my helix jewelry, he picked out the perfect piece for me and made my setup perfect. I wont go anywhere else!

I’ve been here a few times to get pierced, but this time the piercer kelly was SO sweet and professional. She walked me through the whole process and even gave me a card with the information about what gauge she pierced me at, which most places never do.

I decided to get a few piercings and let’s just say this was not the ideal experience. Nobody checked my I.d , I forgot to sign the waiver but it’s okay cause nobody checked that either . I felt so overwhelmed and uncomfortable w all the cursing and bad mouthing of another tattoo shop that had done other work on me . The lady constantly kept bringing up my weight referring to me as a “ bigger girl “ or saying “ you have a bigger belly so that’s why the piercing is difficult to do on me . She even went as far as referring a weight loss supplement that helped her loose weight . I left out feeling worst than when I went inside . No to mention I asked her to match both of my surface tragus piercings and she did the total opposite. Then stated the other shop did it improperly and her piercing was the proper way . Now I have to mismatch piercings . One on my ear and the other on my face !!! As her being manager I expected a good experience. The pricing is cheap but i RATHER go somewhere else pricey to feel respected and comfortable..

Though my piercer was very nice, the sanitation standards were sub-par. I came in for a monroe piercing, Rebecca was my piercers name. She did not sanitize the outside area of my skin before piercing (though she did have me use mouthwash for the inside), did not use gloves, and did not clean her hands between piercing myself and my friend (who got a nose piercing). Thankfully I did not get an infection, but that doesnt mean it couldnt happen to someone else. I recommend increasing the sanitation practices here for the safety of everyone involved!

Rebecca pierced my ear and nose, she did amazing and was super friendly! Can’t remember the gentleman’s name that tattooed my wrists, but he was amazing as well! 12/10 recommend coming here! :-)))

Tank comes across as abrasive, but he did good work with a bit of sarcastic-type comedy(?).Wouldve liked to see portfolios &/or generic/flash tats to flip through, but Im old enough that those may not be things anymore.Bottom line: Got what I wanted with a bit of salty entertainment on the side.

Made an appointment online for a childrens ear piercing. Called to confirm and was told to come by. Get there and they dont have any childrens earrings and cant do the piercing. Never bothered to call in the two days between when I made the appointment and when we showed up. Never bothered to say that the piercing couldnt be done.

I went in with a friend. She was getting tiny tattoos and I was debating on getting a tattoo but wanted a quote. Now going off the ball park prices of what they have on their website. I was getting ripped off. First the artist didn’t listen to what I was wanting. Kept focusing on one point. Then for a tattoo just a few inches in size black and white with a small amount of green added in wanted 200 for it. Yes there is a difference between a good tattoo and a cheap tattoo i have good ones but my artist at least had a portfolio to show their talent. This shop had not one portfolio anywhere in site. They never pulled out a single razor and shaved a soul I saw getting work done. Or sanitize their stations. I never saw it once. I watched 4 people get work done. Not one did I see them clean before or after. So not only does their ball park quotes online completely inaccurate one artist didn’t listen to the client and what they wanted then wanted to overcharge no portfolio to show their skills not cleaning properly which can lead to many many issues they don’t do proper prep to the skin the ink was very weak. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend to a soul.To update and answer that lovely owner. I straight up saw 4 people including my friend in that number she would even agree second of all why be a client when I wasn’t a fan for all my reasons. Even asked to see the artist work got nothing. Palm size dude it’s literally a 1x1 tattoo I wanted. What kinda palm you using. Why put one star nothing impressed me to be a client these reviews are to help people. Funny how you bring up the price and all. Even my friend will say she never saw one spray done. Didn’t address the portfolio shaving any of that being in business since 2003 should know how to sell yourself to your client. We are supposed to trust you putting something on our body permanently. I didn’t trust your shop. And ooo got a one star from a non client is excessive. Well that’s why I’m not a client. The experience sucked. And for an owner to get on and bash and blame numerous people for what they say telling them they are excessive for reviewing how they experienced things that’s even more of a reason for people to make these reviews. That’s bad business practices period. Customer isn’t always right. But they have every right to review and post their experience especially when they feel it’s wrong. You may feel you’re always right. This instance you’re not. A 1x1 tattoo isn’t a palm sized tat a very small amount of green isn’t worth a 85 dollar up charge to even a palm sized tattoo. That’s way out there. It was literally a small splash of green. And especially the fact he didn’t listen to what I wanted and only focused on what he wanted to hear. Dude I’m fully allowed to say that. I can’t give higher stars when there was nothing I saw to give one. Especially your reaction. Now I’d give you zero for not even saying I’m sorry they didn’t even show you their work or hear what you actually wanted. Instead it’s blame the person. People go elsewhere trust me there are places with owners that are actually paying attention to what you say and artists to.

I got my nose pierced by Gary and a tattoo by BIGG Mike that match my sister. I was very pleased with them both pricing was great for the quality of work. Very friendly made me like part of the family.

Quick with the peircings and very calm, very very friendly staff, and worth every penny, definitely coming back here to piece my bottom lip soon, theybalsobgive you plenty of advice on what to do after you get your piercing. I would rate this place a 10 outa 5 stars

Rebecca pierced my eleven year old daughters ears for the first time. She was so, so gentle and kind, and really encouraging to my daughter who was nervous and scared. She explained everything she was doing and let her know when she was doing it. Shop was also very, very clean and well organized despite being very busy at the time we went. Perfect experience!

My girlfriend bought a nose ring from Gary and I got a tattoo from Bigg Mike. My tattoo turned out great. Both guys are awesome at what they do and have great personality.

My tattoo is very faded the artist seemed a little new his name was I believe tank or something like that and dug really deep into my skin so it didn’t heal as properly as I would like the little butterfly is just very faded for some reason and the middle part of it is almost my skin color

I got my right side of my nose done and I got to say the guy who pierced it did so good it was like a 4/10 he was nice and very very helpful 10/10! For me

Very unprofessional staff, my tattoo artist didn’t even listen to what I wanted he was very rude and complained the whole time about how there so too many people and he is getting irritated , what a way to welcome clients ! Ha. Prices are cheap bc you get cheap tattoos 🤷🏻‍♀️

I really enjoyed talking, laughing, and cutting up with the tatto artist while he was doin my tattoo. Overall it was my bet experience at a tattoo palor.

A $5 tattoo was not worth me sitting in a place that smelled like sweaty armpits and cigarettes. I will say I appreciate that the artists seemed to be engaging with their clients.

I got my nose pierced by Gary. He was quick, the placement was perfect and he made it painless. I will be going back to him for any future piercings.
