A-Z Tattoos and Body Piercings

This was my first time coming in to get a bigger piece. Upon arrival, the vibe was incredible. Everyone was friendly and I felt like I belonged and was apart of the family of the shop from the get go. An artist was available within the first 5 minutes and we talked about design, set our date and I came back for my tattoo. My artist had 2 weeks and absolutely hit the ball out of the park! 😍 I am soooo in love and obsessed. The whole experience was incredible and one I cherish. Id definitely recommend anyone and everyone to this place! Very professional but fun and family feeling. I was absolutely amazed and will 100000% be back 😍❤️❤️❤️

Went there for a piercing about a week ago. The workers were extremely rude and my piercing was done at an angle, not even close to being straight. Piercer did not provide a countdown to the piercing or even tell me proper aftercare. Looking back I should have walked out as soon as I walked in, but I suppose hindsight is 20/20…. I Would not recommend piercings here to anyone😔

Went to get a tattoo for their flash sale. They covered it with a paper towel and masking tape which I wasnt told they were out of second skin or cling wrap until tattoo was finished. Line work is atrocious. The paper towel stuck to my tattoo. I have multiple blow outs and now have to find an artist to do a cover up. The tattoo looks like an amateur did it. There was no care of his work. I felt like I was a bother. He seemed disinterested in his work and it shows.

My 16yo son wanted a piercing so we went here for it. Willie helped us and he was super nice and patient with us. He told my son the whole process and everything went very smoothly. Willie had a clean, disinfected work space and everything he used was new, sterilized, and unopened. He gave good, clear directions to my son about how to keep the piercing clean. He also does tats and Ill likely be seeing him when Im ready for my next one.

Love the crew at here!! I am so in love with my leg tattoo that Amazing Emily Myers did for me. Absolutely will be get more piece from her! Great energy in the shop as well! Also just got my septum done by their Awesome piercer Abby! Can’t wait to go back for more!

Loved the atmosphere here, all the artists are laughing and joking with each other and very fairly priced, Josh done 2 pieces on me 2 separate days and was amazing, both turned out so good, his brother did a piece on my gf and she loved it. We also brought our 4 month old here to get her ears peirced, the peircer was great with her. Over all it was a amazing experience and we will be coming back for more thats for sure

Loved the shop environment. Everyone there treats you like family. They understand what you want and will make it happen. Josh brought my idea to life and then upped it by ten. Im definitely going back to finish up my Egyptian sleeve. I would recommend going here. Everyone jokes, is laid back and wants to give your skin some love.

My friend and I came in to get tattoos last week. My artist was Xavier. He did an amazing job! His line work was clean, and his demeanor was professional and fun. Reasonable prices. Clean establishment. 10/10 recommend!!

Came here to get an industrial and it was horribly done. I apparently do not have the anatomy to get an industrial piercing but piercer went ahead and did a botched one and told me at the end they had to do adjustments. Piercer was really nice tho and I did receive a refund for it. However, I would not recommend this place for piercings. My cousin got helix piercing and they used regular lobe earrings rather than a barbell earring. Also, the aftercare instructions were a bit outdated.

CJ was amazing!!! So sweet and supportive of whatever you want to do!! Very informative and made you feel absolutely comfortable! He did my nose and my nieces ears! She was scared and he took the time to explain everything and what each item was no matter how many questions she had. He was patient with her panic moments and made sure they were perfectly straight!! 10/10 recommend!

Both Josh and Mike were Amazing. The atmosphere was fun and Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. We will definitely be going bavk.

Highly recommend. I Would not trust anyone else to do my artwork. Lydia rocks and does the damn thing. I gave her a photo of what I wanted and asked if she would put her own touch to it. She made it amazing. Super clean and friendly and very knowledgeable .

Today I received a “daith” piercing from Abbie, and she was lovely to work with! She was great at explaining the process, and was very helpful at explaining aftercare and changing the piercing. I appreciated her kindness and professionalism! It is obvious she is passionate and talented! Highly recommend her work!

Abbie is an awesome piercer, very nice, kind, respectful. Always asked what you were comfortable with and gave great advice for placements and care review. Good sanitary practices as well. Definitely recommend if you’re interested in getting a piercing.

Josh does absolutely amazing!!! Couldn’t ask for a more perfect artist. Atmosphere is comforting and safe❤️❤️ He did one of my first big pieces and I’ll definitely be going back everytime I need a tat!

My fiancé and I brought our 5 month old daughter in yesterday to get her ears pierced, we 1000% LOVED Cj! We were talked through the whole thing, we felt so comfortable and like our daughter was truly in the right hands for this! Will recommend Cj time after time! With how amazing our experience was with this we will definitely be back in the future for tattoos and anything else!!

Hands down the BEST place for piercing!I will never go to anyone else for my piercings! CJ is incredible!!! He is very gentle and makes you feel very comfortable with the procedure. AMAZING!! My mom and I got matching tattoos with Lydia and she was absolutely amazing! This was my first tattoo and she made me very comfortable and she was great to talk with! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!They claim to be an all inclusive business that supports everyone but refused to even let me in the room.I got a beautiful tattoo with them a couple years ago when they were in Granite Falls, but today when I went I was met with BEYOND RUDENESS. I was not allowed to explain the situation at all and was thrown out.I have a registered service dog. When I got my last tattoo with them they didnt even bat an eye at her. The only requirement was could she please stay in the waiting area. As do not bring dog hair into the work area. SURE!! No problem. Today when I went to get another tattoo I was not even allowed on the building. I tried to explain I had been in before and they allowed me in but was not even allowed to finish my sentence. Instead I was interrupted with I dont know you!! Get Out!! I told they that was illegal and he told me to shut up and get out.I have filled a formal complaint with the BBB, the state of NC and the ADA.

I got 2 of my 3 tattoos here and this is where I’m planning on getting the rest as long as I’m in NC. Emily is who I go to and she did a great job with this bigger piece on my arm. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my tattoo it’s crazy. And it healed great. I was told touch ups would be free but I haven’t needed any so far.

I came here today for my first tattoo and I was super nervous. I walked in and was greeted with a smile and they were super friendly. Michael Martini did my tattoo and he made the whole experience super comfortable and amazing. He joked with us the whole time and overall eased my nerves. I 100% recommend this place and will be back for my next tattoo!!!

I went here for a second ear piercing on both sides of my ears. I got them pierced by CJ and he made sure to make me comfortable and he got it done very quick. He also answered any questions I had. The music was good as well. I definitely recommend and would for sure go back in the future.

Visited this shop for an impulse piercing while visiting from Florida. Abbie did my piercing and she was awesome!! The shop is clean and the staff are friendly. Would definitely go back again for another piercing and or tattoo when I come to visit again. 😊

Id like to start out by saying that I was seen by CJ and he is the sweetest human ever. However, I dont think that the piercers really know what they are doing here. I got several piercings by him, an industrial, a helix, a septum. I had a feeling that he pierced my septum wrong because I felt a crunch while he was piercing, which indicates he went through cartilage. Septum piercings are NOT supposed to go through cartilage. They are supposed to be done in a sweet spot in the tip of your nose that is just skin. I went to another shop and they verified that it did go through cartilage and was done in the wrong spot. This leads to prolonged healing time and potential problems. Not only that, but they told me that my industrial was pierced at the wrong angle which could lead it to never heal properly. The aftercare information I received at A to Z is also incorrect. (They told me to use anti-bacterial soap on a q-tip, when this can lead to further irritation and all you need is saline spray!) The reason I trust this second shops critiques is because their piercers are part of the Association of Professional Piercers and they have overall higher standards. I really hate to leave a bad review because like I said CJ was extremely sweet and I think he is a great person. The staffs personalities is the only reason Im not leaving a 1 star because everyone was very nice to me. I do believe that the shop was sterile and clean, but thats about all I can say. I wouldnt recommend getting your piercings here if you really want to ensure they are done right, specifically septum piercings.

I’ve visited them before at their old location further up 321, I got a vertical labret and an upper ear piercing, and I loved them both! The upper ear got infected (absolutely no fault of the piercer, it was completely on me) and I just went back to get a tattoo from them at their new location, got my tattoo done by Michael, he was really cool n nice and I’m planning on going back for my next tattoo as well!

CJ is a total lifesaver! One of the ends of my fresh lip piercing (done out of town) fell out and got lost while I was visiting nearby. A quick search for the closest piercing shop and A-Z showed up. I zoomed over, was totally expecting to wait and cough up some dough to cover the emergency - which would be totally understandable if that was the case. But instead, being the sweetheart that CJ is, I was taken care of SUPER quickly and courteously so I could make it back to my scheduled pool day plans! Much appreciated, CJ! You saved the day! 😁😁😁

Went in to get my smiley piercing done and CJ was awesome! Took less then 20 mins, everything was very sanitary and he talked about the aftercare throughout the process, kept the conversation flowing and funny, I was super comfortable and not nervous at all! The vibes here are amazing. The piercing itself is a little crooked but my smiley was barely piercable so I dont care+its not noticable unless youre looking up at it. Definitely recommend this shop! Price was $30 for the smiley piercing which is totally fair pricing. 10/10!

I recently went into A-Z tattoo to get my first tattoo, Emily, my tattoo artist was more than accommodating, informative and very professional. Her work is outstanding and I would recommend her and any of her co-workers to everyone. If you want quality work, a great atmosphere and great experience, I highly recommend Emily and everyone at A-Z Tattoo!

The BEST!!!!! I have wanted a side-by-side nose ring for a while so decided to go get one last minute.... literally 10 minutes before they closed! Everyone was extremely friendly even tho I was late as heck. CJ was a peach!! Even tho I had a nose ring, he still talked me through the process, cleaned it, prepped it, stuck the needle through and the ring was in, end of story right? Nope. It bled a little bit, but evidently now that Im 30 the sight of blood is too much for me. 15 seconds later, I start sweating like I was in a sauna, got extremely nauseous, looked up, and said Im gonna throw up. Without hesitation he runs out into the hall comes back with a sprite, and like the AVENGERS the entire staff is in there, one was fanning me like Im on vacation on an island, another other grabs the trash can, while another places a cold towel on the back of my neck and forehead! After I vomit and was so embarrassed, He jumped right back where he had left off, finished cleaning me as if nothing had ever happened, and the AVENGERS disappeared into the shadows! If you ever want or need anything done come to A-Z youll be taken care of from start to finish!!!!!!

Cj did a great job! I had one of my piercings come out and I couldn’t get it back in, and he got it fixed for me. I will def be coming back for my next piercing in the future!

Went Friday 12/10 for a couple piercings. Very friendly atmosphere. The piercer was fantastic, had us giggling like school girls. Live this place highly recommend. Piercings came out straight and I am very happy with the results.

Went to get my nipples done. I was so afraid but when I got there the guy doing it made me feel so welcome spoke to me like he knew us forever which helped me calm down and feel better. I attempted to have a tattoo covered up here by an artist who said they could get the work done. Seems as if this artist bit off more than they could chew had it not been a cover up probably would have been great work. Reached out to the owner to figure something out he dragged his feet and acted like he was working on it he wasn’t. Some time passes I reach out to store manager and he decided he wasn’t going to reach out either. I’m walking around looking pretty much stupid because I trusted the wrong person and the wrong shop don’t let it happen to you.

Great place with great people, really happy with everything. Josh is an amazing artist and I’m 100% going back doe so we can finish my back. 10/10

Cj is the sweetest. Got my lip, belly button and tragus done here for $75 and he offered to fix my nose piercing that Heavy Metal messed up for free. Definitely plan on getting more piercings done by him and Definitely recommend him over anyone else.

I took my almost 5yo daughter for her first ear piercings today and the piercer was so nice and good with her. They use surgical grade steel earrings, piercing needle (no gun) and the autoclave is present in the piercing room. All equipment was sealed and opened in front of us. My daughter didn’t even flinch and they use a little numbing gel. We had a good experience. Thank you! They are cash only but have an atm fyi.

Ive never had my ears peirced before, Ive had tattoos but thats different. A friend of mine recommended that I check them out. I went in today to have 4 peircings and they were very nice and welcoming. Very chill atmosphere. I think the guy who did my peircings name was CJ? (Not sure, I have terrible memory) coolest dude. Definitely recommend. Very friendly.

Its such a laid-back atmosphere.. I took my daughter to get her belly button and ear pierced and they made sure she was calm.. they went over at step by step with her and what they was going to do to make her feel more comfortable.. and the place was very clean!!! We went in for a second opinion on our four month old daughters eating placement. They agreed with me that they were straight and even. (Which was my opinion) but to ease the wifes mind. We also quoted some tattoos while in there.

I have been coming to a-z for two years to get piercings. out of all of the piercers I have met, CJ is by far my absolute favorite. he was very gentle and precise with the piercings. he was also amazing to talk with and i loved his energy. definitely recommend stopping by to let CJ handle all of your piercing needs.

I came in with my friends a few months back to get an ACNH leaf tattoo and they acted like they didn’t really want to do it so they had a young guy do our tattoos. I was really concerned about the pain and the work he was doing on my friends and my tattoos. I started asking him questions and found out in the middle of him tattooing me that he was an apprentice. Not cool. He missed a bunch of spots on mine so i asked him to go over it and all he did was drag and scratch my tattoo causing scarring and pulled more ink out. He went too deep on the stem and i had another artist look at it and they said it was infected because he injured me while tattooing. I have never had any issues with infection with any of my other tattoos. This is a small and easy tattoo compared to what i have already had before. It healed with blotches and scarred. It looks terrible. I’ll never come back here

Got my nose pierced by CJ yesterday and he was amazing! This was my first time and he made sure I was super comfortable, walked me through the entire process, and kept me laughing the entire time! I will definitely be recommending this shop and CJ to others!

Ive tried this place twice and been disappointed both times. The first time I came in for a daith piercing and they actually pierced my ear in the wrong place. I shouldve known after that not to come back, but I did. The second time I came in wanting a leaf tattooed on my ankle. They had an apprentice do it without telling me he was an apprentice until after he was done. It healed terribly with several spots missing already. It also hurt worse than any tattoo Ive ever had; I thought I was going to throw up, and Ive never experienced pain like that getting a tattoo. They have very short waiting times but I can see why. The service is poor and I wont make the mistake of trying again.

I love A-Z Tattoos and Body Piercings! The staff is completely awesome and down to earth. I got a tattoo in memory of a loved one and two new piercings on the same day and they had me laughing and chitchatting to keep me from getting too anxious. I will recommend this awesome place to everyone I know!!!

I had a tongue piercing done with them and it turned out good for the most part, however they are not good with getting you paper work you need if you was too ever need paper work like sterility papers. The owner charges you for him to take his sweet time to sort through his messy bin of paper work that isn’t even filed ,it’s just threw in to a copy paper box. That’s wrong for him to charge you to just get a price of paper that you signed when you got your tattoo or piercing and it’s against your rights. !!! Very rude and unprofessional.

Had my septum done here twice now. Also have had to take them back out each time. Not only was the piercing crooked both times, but it only took a miraculous 3 times shoving the needle through my septum in and out before coming up with an excuse that it seems like I dont have a sweet spot, and then leaving the ring in as an oh at least I tried sort of effort. Not only that, I wasnt even offered a mirror to look at my piercing after it being done, So I couldnt even get an okay look at it till I got back to my car. Lesson #1: Dont give this place a 2nd chance because they will end up disappointing you worst then before. Lesson #2: DO Not let the red head woman piercing people there anywhere near you with a needle. She is clearly inexperienced, and it will be a pain and a waste of money. And finally, Lesson #3 Just dont put yourself through the same pain, poor effort, poor quality piercings that Ive endured and that are being done at this place.

I have reached out to one of the artists by getting a tattoo. And the span of two months I barely have any communication with this artist. I only got one picture of the sketch of the design I wanted. After that there was no communication during that two month period. when I emailed to ask about how long it normally takes to get an appointment set up and designed to be made I never heard back. To me this is very unprofessional.

Elijah is an awesome piercer, very respectful, informs you of everything happening and is totally transparent about procedure, price, and aftercare instructions. Never had a better experience anywhere else and will be going back soon!

My snake eyes were done here josh was a sweet guy but did not know what he was doing at all what so ever. He was asking his assistant what to do which made me question why she wasn’t doing it instead. My snake eyes were done extremely crooked. Slightly crooked I could have understood but this was ridiculous.

Had a cover up done by Josh today. He was amazing. Kept me laughing the entire time. Really nice guy. I felt super comfortable. Ill be going back to have another cover up done. Thanks Josh

I went in to get my helix redone ended up coming out with 2 and a new regular piercer I was up visiting from Florida and I will from now on only get pierced by him I was somewhat nervous and he had such a great energy and helped me calm down right away will definitely be coming back up for my nose😁

I wouldnt waste time dealing with this place. They told me a time to be there I arrived at that time and they told me they couldnt get to me that it would be 2 hours before they could. As their were 2 artists just standing there. I wont be back

Went here with friends and the Regular Piercer was out of Town so they had a girl that was training and had never done piercings before my pierce two of my friends both ended up having to get piercing removed I did not
