The shop is clean and organized, and the staff is very professional. Today was my second time coming to this shop and both experiences have been amazing. Mikey took well care of my new piercings making sure they were placed perfectly, answering all my questions, and pain has been minimal. Both experiences have been easy and fun. I highly recommend this place.

Casino did a great job on my tattoo, very professional and make sure that I was OK with the drawing before we got started. Did a great job. No issues and the price was great. Most definitely would go back to him.

I went to dark anchor and got 3 surface piercings one on my face, my chest and the nape of the neck the nape piercing looked like it was about to fall out when I look at it didn’t look like the pictures so I go back they agreed to fix it just to get it repiereced with another curve bar so I got somewhere else and was told that the piercing was rejecting so I had them look at the chest piercing which is covered in red bumps she said it was rejecting as well so I had her removed both $180 gone down the drain cause I’m not going back over there I think it’s wrong to take people money and perform the service that was paid for I’m really pissed off I didn’t have the piercing 2 weeks I will upload pictures I was told they put the wrong jewelry in 🙄😡

Definitely recommend this place 😊 customer service was definitely a 10/10 and everyone there was so nice ! i got 2 piercings done . my belly and nose , and the piercer cynthia was so sweet and patient . she made sure to reassure me through the process and took her time and had gentle hands . they also provide you with an aftercare description that they send you through instagram . i definitely recommend them , 10/10 experience def plan on going back i love my piercings 🥰🥰

Id been pretty apprehensive and anxious to get my ears pierced, so when I came in today I was pretty nervous. Cynthia was really welcoming and eased my tensions really well, and Im super happy with how my piercings turned out. Shout outs to Cynthia!

My bestfreind Willa and I went in on Monday for my 18th birthday wanting to get our bellies pierced. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the shop artists and Cynthia asked what we wanted and helped us pick jewelry before setting up while we filled paperwork out. When she was ready she called us back and started on my freind and was so patient and warming . After Willa’s she started on mine and I was sooo nervous but she made sure I liked the placement and did everything she could to make me comfortable. Even when she was putting the clamp on and I was struggling to stay still she helped reassure me and calm me down. She was so sweet and helped me breathe through it. When it was done I felt a little light headed and she made sure to keep me laying down and gave me a coke making sure I drank at least half before trying to sit up fully. I wouldn’t stop bleeding for a good 30 minutes and I felt so bad but she continued to make sure I was all cleaned up and taken care of and that the bleeding had stopped before I left and that I was gonna be ok. She gave me her contact info so I could update her and get the after care instructions. I will definitely be going back to Cynthia she was so amazing ! (Also might I add it was such good pricing considering it came with jewelry included and she was sooo sterile and the way things were done professionally but also comfortable , all around a great place and experience) I can’t wait to come back weather for a tattoo or piercing in the future!

Amazing work and care for customers! First time getting my ears pierced and Mikey knew everything there is to know about , I also had problems with my earring at 2 am and texted him expecting him to reply in the morning but he replied ASAP!

My partner and I went with my 63 year old aunt. My partner and I got matching tattoos, and it was a first tattoo for my aunt!The shop is clean, and everyone is so nice. Jon did all of our tattoos, and he did an amazing job, we all love them!!! We will be going back soon!!!!

Went in for my first tattoo and they did not disappoint! everybody was super nice and patient and the process was very easy. i have pretty bad social anxiety and once i realized how nice and chill they are i was able to relax which was really awesome. johnny was gentle and patient, and he did a great job with the tattoo, i love it so freaking much! the place itself is very clean, very chill, and has lots of good art, good music, and good vibes. the only mildly inconvenient thing about it i would say is don’t forget cash because they don’t take card! everything else totally makes up for that though, so 5 stars, and i definitely will be going back! :)

Everyone is so great here. Mark has done the majority of my tattoos and they are all beautiful. Jon has done a few and they are beautiful and so detailed. Mikey is funny, Cynthia is funny and so nice. Everyone here is a great vibe. 10/10 def recommend.

This place was AWFUL. I mean like hands down do not trust these people with a needle anywhere near you. The guy who pierced my belly button was an idiot. He pierced it then took the needle out then proceeded to try and stick the jewelry in for 5 minutes. Then finally told me he couldn’t put the jewelry in and had to repierce it again. On top of that they left our IDs on top of the counter where anyone could take them.

It’s my first time coming here came for a nose piercing and my piercer mikey did a great job accommodating me and was very friendly/ informative.

I went there today as I was looking for place to have mine tattoo done in Houston. Randy Savage did great job and Cynthia was super welcoming. We have great laugh too 😄 Place was clean and definitely I will recommend to anyone! 10 out of 10 👌

I’ve been here twice now, once to get my nostril pierced and another time to get my septum done. I can’t emphasize how good these guys are. Each time i got a piercing done, it was quick and everything was communicated well enough for me to understand both the process and aftercare. 12/10 experience and I will be back :)

Found my new tattoo shop!!! I felt really welcomed!!! Get with Ms.Cynthia on the piercings they are very cute get them before they’re goneeeee and she’s so sweetttt!!! John my tattooer did a great job on my spine tattoo!! He took his time to make sure my tattoo was right and I really appreciate that!!! Mark the shop owner was really kind, Mark, Cynthia and I really enjoyed laughing together with some jokes and if your trying to look for a shop just right for you get with them!!!!

I went a month ago to get my nose pierced & the service was okay. Unfortunately my piercing fell out & honestly I was soo happy it did bc Cynthia is amazingggg 🤍 she was so sweet and friendly! I didn’t even feel my nose piercing with her gentle hands! :) definitely recommend!

It took me a couple weeks to write this just to see how my tattoo healed.The tattoo artist took a while to actually get set up , he was doing everything else like going outside with his son , fixing a car or something. Also I’ve had my tattoo for a couple weeks already and the ink is already fading . I paid good money for this and I feel like I wasted it because now I have to go get a retouched .

I went in for my second nostril piercing and had a 10/10 experience with mikey! he was amazing made me feel comfortable through out the whole time :)

My best friend had recommended Mark & The Dark Anchor Tattoo & Piercing so I booked a session for last night. Walking in I was immediately put at ease; beautiful blue walls & nautical themed decor. An open concept studio so you could also see other artists working/cleanliness of the whole studio. When I met Mark it was instantly that I realized he had the best interest of my tattoos on his mind. Everything he suggested we went with and I’m so glad I did because the artwork looks incredible. I didn’t leave without booking another session for a couple months because his work turned out gorgeous. (And he books up fats!) Cynthia was absolutely the sweetest shop mom. Took pictures and videos whenever I asked & also of all the other people who came in last night. A comfortable atmosphere was made between the two of them and their artists in the shop because it was all laughs all night. Can’t wait to go back for more work!

Cynthia was amazing!! Came in to get my navel pierced and she was very clean and professional the whole time. She also noticed my helix jewlery that had been stuck in my ear for 3 years now and managed to take out the jewlery in less than 10 mins and give me a free longer bar to let it finally heal. I only wish I came here sooner!!

A couple friends have had work done by Mark and I finally decided to book a time and get my first tattoo done tonight. It was great! Mark is a highly talent artist and the Dark Anchor is amazing. I went in and was undecided about which piercing to get. I spoke with the guy in the front and then he let me speak to Cynthia, the piercer. After a convo with her, I decided to get a conch and it was the best experience ever. Cynthia was so nice and complimented me on all of my other piercings. If I could give 10/5 stars I would. Highly recommend The Dark Anchor and I highly recommend CYNTHIA!!!!!

The place is incredibly nice and clean. Ask for -Cynthia Haynes- she’s the realest, coolest person. My boyfriend got his ears pierced for his first time by her and he said “Wow I like how she pierced my ears with patience and really carefully.”

Came in here last week for my first tattoos. From setting up the appointment to actually getting my session done, they made everything super smooth and easy! My overall experience was incredible. I was greeted by Cynthia at the front desk, she is so professional, sweet and kind. She calmed my nerves and made sure I understood how long the tattoos were going to take and was so friendly. My tattoo artist was John, he was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He explained everything in detail as to what tattoo he was going to do first and each process. After the tattoo session he made sure to take his time explain after care instructions. Both he and Cynthia provided me with their numbers just in case I had any questions or concerns. Their equipment was clean, the waiting area was clean and sanitized. I noticed Cynthia would sanitize the seats every time a customer used them. I definitely recommend this tattoo shop for anyone who is looking for a great experience! They give off such good vibes!!

I had to come back and edit my review because my previous one just did not do this place any justice. I ADORE everyone who works here, they are some of the greatest people around. They genuinely care about their clients, and will do everything they can to make sure that you’re comfortable.They always have no issues holding conversations with you, and always make my friends and I laugh. CJ is the only person I will EVER trust with my piercings from now on, even if it means I have to drive a two hours back and forth to come see her. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone who is needing to get tatted or pierced, because there really is no one better.

I wanna start off I came in and the guy in the motorcycle greeted me respectfully nd asked if I wanted a water or anything I also the lady there she was very sweet also nd made me feel at home and my tattoo artist Randy savage is a beast and amazing and he’s very patient and kool and respectful nd made me feel comfortable getting my first tattoo and didn’t rush me or nun most definitely recommend him he’s art work is awsum I just wanna say this tattoo parlor made me feel like home nd they even offered me sum food I really enjoyed the experience most definitely coming back soon !!

Cynthia is an awesome piercer! She took us in for a quick nose piercing at 10:30pm when they close at 11! Super friendly environment, very clean and she goes over everything she’s doing!

I absolutely loved the work done my Mikey Carr. I had my nipples pierced and he did an excellent job and was very professional. Never once was I uncomfortable or felt awkward. The pain was minimal and the results are amazing. The shop was very clean and the staff was polite and helpful. I plan have more piercings and hopefully more ink done by Mikey Carr and the guys at The Dark Anchor.

I was looking for a place to have my ears pierce. I was a little nervous because am afraid of needles. So, I looked at the Google reviews from Dark Anchor, and I decided to make a call. Mickey answered and I explained my miss givens on getting my ears pierced. He told me he would take care of me. The shop was very nice and inviting when I arrived, and I was greeted by a friendly staff. Plus, to my surprise--Mickey was already setting up anticipating my arrival. He was such a sweet guy-- down to earth. He made me feel comfortable. We struck a great conversation which helped ease my nerves. So, thank you Mickey! I really appreciate your help. I am going to recommend Dark Anchor for piercing. And of course, ask for Mickey!

The Dark Anchor saved me tonight. Truly. I went to Dagos to get a septum piercing where I received a piercing that looked like it was an accident and pretty shabby customer service and I was forced to go somewhere else to get it fixed somehow. I came across The Dark Anchor on my map and I called to tell them what happened -- pretty sheepishly, might I add, given how incredibly embarrassed I was. They told me to come in and they took a look at what happened and luckily, they said theyd be able to fix it. I was pretty scared, given that the piercing experience I had at Dagos was so awful. I figured Id be walking into a room full of shame and embarrassment, but that wasnt the case at all. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly patient, kind, attentive, and responsive to me throughout the whole process. At one point, I even got a bit emotional at the frustration and pain of it all, but they were so supportive in spite of my case requiring extra energy, time, attention, and focus while also not being particularly pricey. When they re-pierced my septum, it barely hurt compared to the first one, it was very sterile, and I felt like my piercer (Mikey) was listening to what I saying and letting me know what was happening the whole time. I even spoke to him during the process and I could tell he was incredibly knowledgeable about his craft and he obviously works overtime to make sure hes providing people with the best, most safe, and most comfortable experience possible. I recommend this shop over any other in Houston if you want to enjoy your experience.

The Dark Anchor is the place to go if you want a tattoo or any type of piercing . The artist their are talented and very causal actually making an effort to talk and get to know you. It’s a beautiful atmosphere and one of the most clean places I ever been to. They have good rates for tattoos and are a shop that really puts the customers first. If you are looking to almost any tattoo I recommend Randy he’s amazing, and is a artist that work in your comfort zone and dedicates time to you and your vision. All and all the shop is 5 stars.

Walked in and the receptionist was very friendly, she immediately helped me set up an appointment for my first tattoo. The artist, Randy, worked with me and was patient with helping me decide what to get. Overall the vibe was good and although their prices are a bit higher than other shops its well worth the premium to get better service.

I wanna say I met a great person before I knew he could tattoo great attitude all around great person mark owner and master tattoo artist did my chest piece and I gotta say it’s unbelievable how talented he is but it doesn’t stop there his crew are all top notch can’t go wrong with any one there and the wonderful lady in the front named Cynthia organizing and ready to answer any question you have is so very helpful and so kind with her there’s no such thing as a dumb question I really recommend this place if u want your moneys worth for a tattoo or piercing.

I love the results and the whole process of it ,he’s a great artist I would totally recommend. He’s now gonna be my go to ! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by all three gentlemen, we talked about fixing a tattoo I got in Washington and they were very optimistic about fixing it when a lot of other artists turned me down. All in the same day and within 2 hrs of arrival I was in a chair and getting a freshly drawn pattern on my back to cover up a bad mistake. Artist worked on me around 10 hrs to finish my tattoo. Couldnt have had a better experience. Solid tattoo establishment!!

What I wanna share is I had a bad experience with one of the employees Im pretty sure the owner would have never let this happen because it takes a long time to build a good reputation of your place The tattoo artist calls me A-day before my tattoo if I like the drawings when he had already 2 weeks to draw something today I show up and he says he never got to me because he keeps on forgetting I hope the owner gets out hold of me
