Fiona at Black Rose was amazing. Shed done two lip piercings for me and I couldnt be happier with the service. She was extremely professional and personable. She walks you through what shes doing and is quick and virtually painless. She also helped me deal with swelling that caused some issues for me and it was clear that she truly cared about making sure everything went right for me. Very happy, Ill be back.

A wonderfully-run tattoo & piercing shoppe with a warm environment, very kind and knowledgeable staff. They are very professional, efficient, and can do a wide range of styles. Their jewelry selection is high quality and they uplift each other with knowledge sharing and collaboration. Recommended to all looking for their first session and queer clients looking for a safe, welcoming atmosphere. Prices for piercings and tattoos are very affordable. I recommend booking an appointment in advance before making a long trip to go!

Today I had an awesome experience at Blvck Rose Tattoo with Ricardo Prates.Since my arrival everyone was very nice to me and made me feel comfortable.The place is very nice, very clean and have a lot of space so you won’t be in anyone else’s way during your session.It was my very first tattoo and they were very kind to explain everything to me, asked me how I wanted, if it needed any changes and etc.Ricardo and his wife Bruna were very pleasant to talk to and made me feel really good and not scared during the tattoo session, for sure I’ll be going back to have more work done with him!I’m very pleased with the outcome of my very first tattoo.

I followed Luke to Blvck Rose from his previous location. Im so happy I did! The shop is so chill, inviting and completely unbiased! Have referred folks and will continue to visit Luke. Both tattoos in the photo are his work.

Edy was fantastic for my first tattoo, and I will be headed back for a second! It is a welcoming and wonderful place and I am delighted these talented artists have found a home here in Hudson.

Blvck Rose is an incredible place & was built with love and dedication to Theo’s community. 💕 Everyone there is so kind, hilarious & genuinely cares about your body modifications. Dont hesitate to go there! (They also treat guest artists incredibly!)

Unfortunately I can’t in good confidence recommend this place for piercing. The old reviews that mention piecing are in relation to a previous piercer. My experience with the current staff piercer wasn’t great. I decided to get a simple lobe piercing that ended up bleeding pretty badly for three days from when I got it. I called on day two to get some advice and was told that some blood was normal and if it continues day three I could come in and have them look. On day three I was really struggling and when I called to make sure the piercer was still free as they said, I was told the piercer wasn’t going to be there at all. Everyone I talked to about it seemed to not be too concerned and I lost confidence in the establishment and was feeling pretty hopeless that the piercing was healing correctly. I consulted another piercer in another town about the bleeding and bruising and got a completely different reaction to what I was experiencing. They said I was welcome to come in and have them take a look. Longer story short, the other shop mentioned several issues with the piercings, including that the ear bleeding the worst looked to be pierced at a bit on an angle making everything worse. They did try and offer to save them, but it was such a stressful experience that I told them to just take them out. So again, I can’t in good confidence suggest people go to this shop for any piercings.

I went here yesterday with my best friend for a bit of self care in the form of piercings! Zed was so awesome and welcoming right from the moment we opened the door! They were informative and so upbeat and made us feel like we definitely made the right choice by going to Blvck Rose. Rhys was amazing! He explained everything and was very honest about our original piercing choice. I got an even better ear piercing than I envisioned. When he did my nose, it was so easy I didn’t even realize he was done! This place is immaculate! The staff is amazing and I already know what my next piercing will be! This is the best place to go!

Ive been here twice now and both times Ive had such great experiences. This last time was the most notable for me. I called on Friday looking for a meaningful to me walk in tattoo. There was hardly any wait and the artist Vex was so nice. Im absolutely in love with my simple tattoo and I just wanted to say thank you! This shop really is one of the best Ive been to. Very inviting and has a generally great vibe.

This place is amazing I went here and got a half sleeve realism tattoo done by Edy and she knocked it out of the park. Working with her was great, she’s super nice professional and shows she cares, I had a long ride home and she had my message her so she made sure I got home safe. As for the shop it’s super clean and a really cool environment. Every artist is super approachable and friendly and you can talk with any of them like they’re your friend. I’ll definitely be going there again and i recommend the shop and my artist Edy to anyone who is talking about getting a tattoo.

I reached out to one of the artists using their online form and towards the end, it said they’ll get in touch if the artist reviews it. I understand if a particular design is not their forte but would have appreciated at least an email or text saying they won’t be able to do it/don’t think they’re a good fit.

I just had such an amazing experience at Black Rose after having not the best experience at another piercing shop. I needed a new septum ring because I lost the beads, and they were able to match it perfectly to my old one, as well as sell me new beads for my piercing in case I lost them (i have struggled to find a place that sells septum beads that matches my ring without buying a new piece of jewelry, so this is amazing to me). Mika, my piercer, was such an amazing and authentic person to talk to, and they were able to put my piercing in without much discomfort. Overall, such a great experience and it made my day, highly recommend coming here. The shop is also super inclusive and I felt super welcome.

I have been getting tattooed by T for a couple years now. They are amazing and their work speaks for themselves. I drive an hour and a half one way to get tattooed so that should tell you how talented they are. The whole Blvck Rose atmosphere is very welcoming and such a good vibe. I feel like Blvck Rose is my extended family and I’m very blessed that I’ve come across T and all the other artists/ managers in the shop (shout outs Ari). Highly suggest getting tattooed here by any of these amazing artists. Always counting down the days until my next appointment!

The staff is extremely professional and Im very happy with my experience. I did a walk in septum piercing and Rhys took care of me right away! It came out better than I could have possibly hoped for! The space was clean and everything was really easy and straight forward, definitely coming back!

I visited Blvck Rose for the first time today for a walk in piercing and had a great experience. Rhys is super nice and informative and helped me to choose which jewelry would work best. The piercing itself was so quick and easy and Rhys did a fantastic job of making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. 5/5. The vibe of Blvck Rose is amazing. I’ve gotten pierced by Rhys and I must say he is a delight! He did an amazing job on my eyebrows and front facing nostrils. He made me feel so comfortable during the process. I’ve also gotten tattooed by Luke who is also amazing at what he does. I plan on getting tattooed by the other artists there because everyone that works there has such a unique style.

Rhys pierced my VCH, which is obviously a very sensitive piercing! he was incredibly pleasant and made sure I was comfortable the whole time that I received my service. He was thorough with information about healing and care and answered every question I could’ve possibly come up with. The piercing itself was very quick and easy and he made it as painless as possible. 10/10 experience, would definitely do again!

I went in to see Rhys to ask about my septum piercing, I haven’t worn any jewelry in a long time. Rhys was very welcoming and the studio is clean with art displayed on the walls. Rhys had me lay back so he could get a good look nose. He explained every step before we started and then talked through what was about to happen. He made it a calm atmosphere to get pierced in. So much so that I went back to get a Conch piercing. If I decide to get more piercings, I’ll only go to Rhys from now on!!

Just got a gorgeous tattoo yesterday from Izzy Mars -- everyone I dealt with in the shop was friendly and professional. The space is clean and organized. The waiting area was cozy, they offered water and snacks while I waited... this was my 10th (small) tattoo and everything about the experience was great and Id definitely go back. Recommend if youre looking for ink any time soon (they also offer piercings!)

Getting a tattoo or piercing can be a little nerve racking regardless of your experience with it. Going to a brand new place and entrusting someone else with a permanent change to your body is not an easy thing for many.With that being said, going to Blvck Rose has been everything I could ask for from a tattoo and piercing shop. Not only is the shop very clean, well decorated, located in a nice town, organized, private but the staff is absolutely wonderful.I have had the pleasure of working with T, who took on a tattoo project that wasn’t necessarily what they typically did. And they did everything in their power to make sure the tattoo was exactly what I wanted.I also had the pleasure of working with Gabe, as well as Rhys, and I have nothing but good things to say about their work. They are both responsive via social media, polite, gentle and great people to bring a piercing idea to.Ari, the shop manager does an excellent job of not only keeping the shop stocked with really awesome merch, but also makes setting up appointments super easy and user friendly. Not to mention keeping the shop looking it’s best at all times with new artwork, decorations and also bringing in guest artists.This truly is a one stop shop for tattoo and piercings, and if you have any worry or hesitancy on going to Blvck Rose then rest assured, this place is awesome.

I dont usually write reviews, but I couldnt stop thinking about the amazing service I got. The whole time I was super nervous because, while I have other piercings, Im not great with pain. Rhys made me feel super safe and didnt do anything until I said I was ready. It was super quick and he didnt make me feel bad when I didnt like the original placement he had drawn on my ears. I will DEFINITELY be coming back here when I want my next piercing.

Nothing less than amazing experiences every time i’ve gone into the shop! Always felt welcomed by a smile by everyone in there! Ive had a tattoo done by Ricardo- beautiful work to say the least. Even got my boyfriend to come in to get work done by him also!Also met Rhys and get some old jewelry changed out by him and he’s the best! Super sweet and definitely a knowledgeable guy for all your piercing needs!Whenever someone asks me for a shop to go i always point them out as my top shop for whatever their looking for!

I pulled my nose ring out in the middle of the night and couldn’t get it back in the next morning. I went in to Blvck Rose and saw Rhys, who took great care of me from the start. Luckily the hole wasn’t completely closed, so Rhys helped me re stretch the hole and put a new stud in. I didn’t feel like they were trying to sell me anything I didn’t need and the whole process was super easy and relaxed! I definitely recommend visiting here for any piercing needs - and the tattoos look awesome too!

On my first visit Rhys pierced my septum and re-pierced my closed lobes. He made the whole process painless and fun. I loved my experience there so much that I went back to have a custom ring for my septum piercing ordered and to have a faux-rook pierced on my right ear. Hes truly excellent and very clearly has passion for what he does.

Rhys was awesome! He provided a great environment, talked us through the entire process, and made sure we were comfortable. He was also very patient with us while we chose jewelry and adjusted the placement of our piercings. Super fun, friendly, and professional. 12/10 will return 🦖

My daughter and I both had our noses pierced by Rhys. I cannot say enough about how calm and comfortable he made us through the entire process. It made the world of difference for my daughter who freaks out at the idea of a needle and she had zero trouble with this. It was just overall a great experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Would 100% recommend for your piercing desires.

After hearing rave reviews and seeing Thais’ work on multiple people, I made my first appointment, and was not disappointed! the shop is super creative and cute. It’s located right next to the bagel shop, very central on Main Street. The whole process from booking the appointment, paying (Venmo accepted) and getting my tattoo was comfortable, easy and super quick! I loved my collar bone tattoos so much that I already booked my second appointment for another bigger piece. I highly recommend this shop for quality work from quality people!

I’m disappointed I have to give one star because I’ve been here before and had a decent experience. My friend and I drove up for the Roe flash event and showed up around 12:20, got in line and were able to get on the sign up sheets around 2. We were told there was an approximate wait time of 3 hours. We’ve been to flash events before, we know these are ‘rough’ estimates, tattoos take how long they take. We show back up to the shop around 4:30, and ask around 5:15 what the ETA is. The assistant tells my friend her artist is on their last piece for the day. My friend asked if she was going to call us, we drove almost 2 hours and she said she was going to call us and shrugged. I also went to in to check on my artist’s status and asked if where I was at on the list would be tattooed today. The answer was no. I asked if I was going to get called. “Yes” But just not now? “No” She genuinely had no interest in interacting with us or saving any face for the shop. We spent 9 hours of our day waiting around because no one had the foresight to call us when the artists were booked out. We really wanted to support the shop and the cause but after this incredible lack of communication to clients and lack of care, we won’t be returning and we can’t recommend this shop to others.

Got my very first tattoo here with the guest artist Murph! Not only did Murph do an awesome job, but the resident Blvck Rose staff made me feel very safe and comfortable. This is a queer friendly environment with a largely LGBTQ+ staff. They are chosen-name and pronoun friendly. The facilities (waiting room, bathroom, stations) were clean and regularly sanitized. Ill definitely be coming back here!

Luke did an incredible job on my new tattoo! He was very nice, professional and did an amazing job! Will be going back to Blvck rose tattoo shop and see Luke! The shop itself was also clean and all of the staff were nice.

I’ve had two tattoos and two piercings done here and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. Had to go back because the back popped off a helix piercing and Rhys (the piercer) and Zed (gallery assistant) fixed me up in minutes when I went in. Highly recommend!

4-5 yrs ago I got my first tattoos of a sun and moon at Miraculous Creations, that did not go well. my sun looked like an octopus and my moon was a toenail. AND that tattoo artist hit on me repeatedly after that so I had to block him. my tattoos got infected and they were soooo faded after that. it broke my soul dude. I wanted more tattoos but I didnt trust anyone anymore. until this yr, I found a brand new little tattoo shop called Blvck Rose Tattoo who a friend of mine knew the owner, Thais. I looked at their work, clean and professional. I felt a good vibe about them and their professionalism so I took my little sister their to get her first tattoo and I was getting a matching one. it. was. amazeballs. Thais is so gentle and welcoming, the shop had a smell of christmas cookies, everything was A+++. And yes, my sis and I came back and got more tats done. AND Thais redid my sun and moon tattoo and they did and FANTASTIC JOB!!!! I have a sun and moon tattoo now, not an octopus and toenail!! if ur looking for a trust worthy, welcoming, diverse, lgbtq+ & poc inclusive place, Blvck Rose Tattoo is the place to be.
