Brilliance Tattoo

I got a tattoo with Tammy and it was such a great experience, especially considering that it was my first tattoo. Tammy was kind and responsive during the booking process. When I got to the studio, she had a few different iterations of the design all ready to go. She was super open to any feedback that I had during the placement and stenciling process, and made it clear that she wanted me to be happy with how it looked. She reinforced that she would adjust it as many times as needed to make me happy with it. She also explained each step of the process in a detailed and clear way.The studio space was also beautiful: super clean but also super homey. It is a space that gets a lot of light and has a ton of plants. The space was also inclusive with nice touches throughout like a basket of free menstrual products in the bathroom.I highly recommend going here, especially to get a tattoo from Tammy, and especially if its your first tattoo!!!

I’ve had four pieces done at Brilliance and absolutely love every single one of them. The shop is gorgeous and every single artist I have worked with has been amazing! Most recently, Amanda did a beautiful custom piece for me with sweet peas and peas - I absolutely love the colors and little details she pulled in. And I always get so many compliments on it! I cannot recommend Amanda and Brilliance enough!

I have been to Brilliance many times now and every single time I have an exceptional experience! I started going to Brilliance when one of my favorite tattoo artists of all time moved there (Dia, you are a gem!!!). Every piece I have from Dia I am completely obsessed with and I always have a wonderful time catching up with her when I get new work from her. The studio itself is extremely inclusive, the environment is lovely, and I always leave with a huge smile on my face.This year one of the other artists at Brilliance, Amanda, posted a very cool flash concept (papercraft inspired art pieces of nature) and I decided to branch out and book an appointment. I have gotten work from the same tattoo artists for the past ten years or so and was excited to get a piece from an artist who is new to me. Amanda ended up being AMAZING. Communication was crystal clear and I knew exactly what to expect from my appointment. We had a great conversation (and I even got some inspiration for my backyard garden/future pond!) and the tattoo came out beautifully. And it took under two hours! I will absolutely be returning for more work from Amanda and I’m so happy to have found another tattoo artist I am excited about!

Extremely comfortable space & friendly, professional artists. All the information I needed (price, scheduling, deposit, shop guidelines) was shared online for me to review before hand and Amanda was very communicative throughout the process. The tattoo itself is beautiful. I have heard only good things about all the other artists as well!

Weve been writing to this studio several times with my colleague. The studio managers are mocking us and turning all the correspondence into a game of we already replied to you ages ago, find your own letter. And so it goes in circles several times in a row. Or they simply dont respond and ignore messages. Very disrespectful attitude. I dont recommend these guys to anyone

An awesome studio filled with awesome people.I picked Brilliance (specifically Lulu Henley) for my first tattoo and I couldnt be happier. Id spent a long time trying to decide who to go with as this tattoo was a memorial piece and I was really picky about who would do it. Lulu was super kinda and did an amazing job of transforming my idea into an gorgeous and cohesive piece. I had a basic outline but couldnt figure out how I wanted all of the individual components to actually sit together.I fully put my trust in Lulu to do it right and damn if that trust wasnt well placed.My experience in the studio was also very nice. Everyone I spoke to was super welcoming and the space itself was really soothing and cozy. Being that it was my first tattoo, it was so nice to walk in somewhere that felt really professional but also cozy and welcoming.Id come back here in a heartbeat.Photos of my tattoo are immediately after the session so mind the redness!

I booked an appointment for a piece of Amanda’s flash a month or so in advance and made a $200 deposit. Based on the pricing guidelines I was sent during booking, this tattoo should’ve been no more than $300 as it was less than 3 inches in size and took her under 30 minutes to complete. She messaged me with less than 12 hours notice to try to reschedule the appointment, but I was unable to because of my work schedule so we agreed to keep the appointment but pushed it earlier in the day to try to accommodate her scheduling conflict. The actual tattoo experience was generally pleasant and professional (clean, efficient) but when it came time to pay she said it would be an additional $200. I don’t know if there was no record of my deposit in her calendar or what, and I’ve gone back and forth about posting a review, but I felt misled about pricing and extremely overcharged. I paid (and tipped) and left, but I won’t be getting work done at Brilliance again because of this experience. The tattoo looks great, but paying that much more than the expected price just isn’t worth it when there are plenty of other talented artists in the area who are more consistent when it comes to pricing estimates and actual cost.

Gonna be super cheesy for a second here and say: this shop lives up to its name! Amanda is amazing - in addition to being an incredible artist she was so fun to talk with - she made the session fly by! I’m so thrilled with my gorgeous new hydrangeas/cardinal/blue moth from her. What a beautiful and meaningful work of art. This studio is a wonderful and welcoming place. Yay Brilliance and yay Amanda, thank you so much! (And yay Hannah, who is no longer there but who gave me a wonderful tattoo years ago at Brilliance’s old location!) Nothing but great things to say about this place. I feel very lucky to be a client!

I have gotten two tattoos done here, one by drae and one by dana glover, and i have had truly amazing experiences both times! the space is so cozy and they make you feel so at home while everything is being prepped. both artists were super aware of how i was feeling throughout the tattooing process, giving me many opportunities for breaks and to let them know if i needed anything. i have beautiful pieces of art on my body and i am so pleased every time i come here!!! i hope to come back.

Awesome shop! Ive gone to visit Lulu twice and its been an amazing experience! The shop is set up well and very clean, the artist is attentive and the communication is great. Great location close to the train and other means of transportation. Thank you!

Super clean and gorgeous shop, Ive been tattooed by a few artists there and theyve all been excellent. Quality work, quality place, great artists who make being poked with needles fun!

Hannah is amazing and I appreciate how comfortable she made me feel when getting my first tattoo! She was extremely patient, and great to work with in terms of creating a design and explaining every step of the process. Plus, we had a lovely conversation the entire time.The whole environment of Brilliance Tattoo overall helped calm my nerves once I stepped into the shop, and everyone was so nice. I highly recommend anyone coming here to work with the awesome artists.

An amazing place! The space is gorgeous, relaxing, and super clean. Its also wonderful that the shop is owned by a woman and that many of the artists are women; I felt super comfortable and welcomed. I love my tattoo as well- Amanda did an incredible job! My tattoo is made up of fine lines and it turned out great. She is also very kind and understanding! I cant recommend this shop enough.

Amazing tattoo shop with incredible artists and a very cool environment. Had a great experience getting my first legit tattoo from Hayley, she was great and really good at walking me through everything and she created a beautiful piece that I cant get over how happy I am with! I want to get all my tattoos done at this shop, all their artists have incredible bodies of work and they all seem like great down to earth people.

Absolutely beautiful, bright clear space. All female owned and managed. The artists all show case their personal styles, and do what they do best... You dont have to worry about someone convincing you to do something you dont want, or telling you they are skilled in a style, and not delivering.The space is beautiful curated; lots of art on the walls, plants everywhere. The pricing is absolutely on point with the fantastic work your going to get. 10/10 recommend

I got tattooed by Amanda about 4 months ago and I cant wait to go back. The shop is super clean and not at all intimidating. Being in Boston, it can be hard to decide where to go for tattoos, but if you want quality body art, you have to come here. They are simply the best.

I came to brilliance tattoo and got the most amazing floral tattoo from Drae. She was amazing, and the space and atmosphere were so comfortable and relaxing, it was all around a great experience

I do not have enough good things to say about getting tattooed by Dia Moeller. She is friendly, super professional, and an amazing artist. The atmosphere at Brilliance is by far the best shop I’ve been in. You’ve got a customer for life!

The studio is a very chill space, bright and homey. Drae is gentle, kind, and an incredibly talented artist. 11/10, will be back for sure.
