Dermatology Associates and Cosmetic Center Kingsport

My experience with Dr Joni Sago is always top-notch! She is always thorough on my yearly skin checks and so knowledgeable & researches so many products! Love reading her notes on all the magazine articles on the wall in her exam rooms. She is the best and listens to any concerns one may have. The staff and nurses are friendly and welcoming as well.

When Dr Larry Hudson retired he told me anyone of the Drs there was very knowledgeable and fantastic at what they do. Which I already knew that caused I loved Dr Hudson. But Dr Allison Pierce is one of the few Drs that is serious about your health and her commitment to her oath of caring for her patients. She is fabulous down to 🌎 loves music and will sing...and sings beautifully. Just we could turn the sound up more!😂 You can talk about problems @ home or work and she listens to you all while she is doing a biopsy or completely cutting out a skin cancer. This is how much I love her she was working @ Boones Creek office....but lives in Kingsport.....so now only practices in Kingsport. I drive the longer distance which is a pain in its self on interstate 26 of the morning rush hour. Let me tell you she is worth every bit of it!! Also she has a farm with animals. Im a retired farm girl and that just makes her more special. ❤️ U Dr Pierce!!!

I was truly sent to Dr Sago by miraculous circumstances! God sent her to me. She got me into see her within an hour for an emergency and didnt charge me because my insurance didnt pay for her. Im doing better and she knew exactly what was wrong. I would definitely recommend her she is a blessing!

I was a new patient, and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However, I was pleased with the whole experience. I spent only a brief time in the waiting room. The doctor and staff were very kind, thorough, and efficient.I feel confident that if any further work is required, I will be in capable hands.

Checkin was easy because I did it online a few days before. I was about to be seated when the nurse came to get me. The nurse took a great history for the doctor. The dermatologist came in fairly quickly. She did a very thorough exam, marked the places that needed attention, and she was done in a jiffy. There was no wait time at all from the moment you entered the building. Extremely efficient. My kind of office.

First visit was in November 2016. I was thoroughly impressed with everyone from the receptionists all the way to my doctor, Dr. Reid. My first surgery was for a rapidly growing Squamous cell carcinoma which quite frankly had me very concerned. Ive had a couple more removed since then, all by Dr. Reid. I go back for regular checkups and so far, everything has been good. Hopefully I will never need any more surgeries, but if I do, Dermatology Associates of Kingsport will be my choice. Love everyone that works there. Topnotch group of people.

Joni Sago is an amazing doctor, and I am thankful she is in charge of my care. She listens, troubleshoots, and genuinely cares about her patients. She has treated myself and all of my children, and we have received the utmost care each time we go. I am impressed by her wall of knowledge...this is her wall where she cuts out articles and posts as to what products and procedures are helpful and what is not. She is always researching dermatology. She has a lot of knowledge, depth, and genuine concern for her patients, along with an incredible personality of which she shares with people she allows to shadow her so they too can become amazing. This has been my experience, and I am simply grateful.

There was no wait time…!!! Nurse was very cordial as was the physician who attended me. I have been to other offices several years ago and did not have the comfort level or detailed exam provided for me in Kingsport! Very much put at ease. Will return their in the future!!!!

Dr Sago is caring, helpful and treats your issues as well as listens. I feel heard and trust my care to her completely. You do not have to wait or question what the medical plan about ypur health is, she explains amd answers all of your concerns and questions

She has received the most amazing care and respect and we consider Dr. Joni Sago a Godsend! Lois has received the utmost care and compassion and Dr. Sago is not only efficient, but cares deeply for the well-being of her patients. From check-in to check-out, Dermatology Associates puts patient care and comfort first and tries to make everyone at ease and make each visit as pleasant as possible!

Joni Sago and Courtney Qualls are Always Tops Care at Dermatology Associates.They are always Great at making time for their patient with their busy schedule. Are Awesome at figuring out puzzling situations. Always Very Pleasant, Personal Family Care. They have been family to my family since 2005.

Dr. Sago is a wonderful doctor. She is very thorough, caring and took the time to answer all of my questions. The entire staff that I dealt with were amazing. The small procedure that she performed at my visit, so far has been very successful and pain free.

My experience today was AWESOME. From the time I went through the door and met with the receptionist Annie who was so kind and patient and then it carried over to my nurse Kristen who like Annie was so patient and nice as well then it was on to Angela the NP who took her time and listened to my concerns and had me treated and in and out of there in no time. Im giving them all 5 stars and I would recommend them 100%.

Check in was easy, the wait wasnt long. Commincation was good; the health professionals understood my problem and were very accommodating. Best of all, my chronic allergy dermatitis of unknown cause is being managed well and is resolving over time.

My appointment was for a medical skin check. The registration people were very nice, the doctor was professional and pleasant. I was surprised at how easy it was. My nurse Crystal was very helpful and kind and professional. I will definitely be returning.

I like Dr. Pierce very much, she is very patient explaining everything and checking everything on my body. She also answered my questions about things that I have that I didn’t understand what they were. She also explained the procedure I will have in August to my satisfaction. I would recommend her to family and friends.

Angela and her assistant were so thorough and kind to me. They answered all my questions with great patience. They also removed a spot under my chin that was concerning. I have no reason to goanywhere else as I consider them to be the best! I recommend them to all my friends and family.

Friendly staff. Dr Saggo goes above and beyond for her patients and makes sure medications are affordable. Visits are as scheduled and never have long wait times.

I had an appointment at 8:00 AM. Sign in was quick. Wait was about 5 minutes to see the physician and her assistant. Both were prefessinal, identified and explained areas needing treatment. They recommended different treatments and asked for my selection. Total time for this appointment was 20 minutes.

Doctor Watkins is such a delightful person and I always looked forward to seeing her. Besides that, she is thorough, thoughtful and caring. Its sad that she will only be available at the Bristol location in the future, but I wish her the very best 🙏.

Dr. Pierce is friendly, professional and so good at explaining what she is doing throughout your visit so you understand everything. Short wait time and staff there is also helpful. I definitely recommend this place and Dr. Pierce!

The wait time was not very long. Angela Miles is always very attentive and listens to what issues you are having. She is knowledgeable and explains what options there are for treatment. I feel very comfortable with her.

I have been coming here for several years with great results. My first two doctors retired and the third, who I really liked, moved locations. I saw a new doctor this time, Allison Pierce, who was wonderful. I’m very pleased with her treatment. I highly recommend Dermatology Assoc and especially Dr. Pierce.

I was received fairly quickly by a courteous attendant who escorted me to a private room. After a delay during which I was able to catch up on my reading, the doctor came examined me, performed some needed procedures, and released me. Everyone was courteous and professional and I was pleased with the friendly atmosphere. Nothing more could be expected in a doctors visit.

Professional and courteous staff. Dr Homoky was great and very thorough. I would recommend to my closest friends and family.

My time in the waiting room was greater than 30 minutes causing me to inquire that I was in the queue (at another doctor’s office, I had not been checked in and so I felt a need to check). I was in the queue but doctor was running behind. The appointment was fine and the doctor was thorough in the examination.

I was a little early but was taken on in. The sweetest lady checked me in, so sweet 🎂. The lady who showed me to the exam room was thoughtful and very thorough in questions of my needs so the doctor was aware of why I was there. Dr Homokey is a Great doctor that covers every issue with care and offers options for care. A great doctor.

Waited on phone for an hour just to find they dont take tncarw and talk down to you very disrespectful. Not everyone is trash on tncare I have an injury that limits my ability thanks dermatologist

My visit went very smoothly with everyone so nice and helpful. Brittney and Dr Homokey were very concerned about this rash and the biopsy went smoothly. My mother was treated with kindness and respect from check-in to check-out. The Dr explained things clearly and thoroughly including all options. We were very pleased with Dermatology Associates.

I was a former patient who had moved out of state. Had a small growth on my ear. The first appointment I could get with a new dermatologist was 3 1/2 months later. I called Dermatology Associates up and they worked me in a few days later, when I was visiting my old home. Care was excellent, as always.

Quick and easy checkin. Minimal wait in the lobby and quick to be seen in the exam room. Everyone was friendly and professionals. Procedures were explained beforehand. I’m very happy with being a patient there.

My experience at the dermatology office in Kingsport TN was great . From the registration up to the checkout . Nurses and Doctor were very informative and procedure was exactly as explained.

I really like your Kingsport office building. Its not the most convenient place, but its comfortable and parking is excellent. I was most impressed by the uniforms your staff wear. All black and very professional. I just wish Alison Pierce were back in Johnson City. The drive from JC to Kingsport is easy, but annoying.

I liked the fact that after already being previously diagnosed with a type of cancer that was removed from my face ; on my follow-up visit a thorough examination was done to ensure that there wasnt any new issues. Thanks for being so thorough and taking care of your patients needs.

Was very pleased with the nurse practioner that I seen was very helpful with all my different problems she addressed. Gave me what med she prescribed told me how to use and gave pharmacy clear instructions. Very satisfied and will gladly tell all my friends and family that finds the need someone.

I’ve been a patient at Dermatology Associates for many years. The Drs and the staff are thorough and have helped me manage my skin problems. I’m fair and have lots of sun damage so I’ve also experienced Mohs Surgery several times. I can’t say enough great things about all of the Drs!!! They are helping me stay cancer free.

Check in was easy didnt take long to call you back I was expecting to see a dermatologist but I was seen by a np.she treated the spots on my arm by giving creams but never treated what causes the sores .I have had this skin disease all my life she did not even biopsy the spots to see exactly what it was.the staff is all nice.

Dr Lillian and Cheri were fabulous. I appreciate them so much . They make U feel very welcomed. They let you know all they are going to do. Explain to U what to do when U get home. Set up prescriptions. I am always very pleased with their care! I was also impressed with the sweet girl who checked me on. I didnt wait but a few minutes.

Staff were on-time, pleasant, explained procedure and gave sufficient follow-up info. I also always feel like a person, not just a numbered patient there.The scheduling text however, is incorrectly set. I’ll leave at this, there are reasons why businesses stay in business for so long. I honestly believe through my experience, they are trying to get the top tier professionals they can get in the area to be the best they can be. I have a lot of respect for people who go out of the way to care for someone and to make things right, I’m thankful we have a group like this so close to home.

First of all I had an appointment in March but a cancellation came up and I got in very quickly. I was treated with respect and a thorough exam. I was pleased with the outcome and other areas were also checked. I was not rushed and was able to ask questions and received in detail answers. There was no rush. This was my second visit to Dermatology Associates had great experiences both times.

I am used this wonderful dermatology clinic for years for my family’s derm needs. The care is also wonderful with caring providers! Thank you for the most recent care of my dad. He was in and out promptly with excellent care. We travel over a hour for the wonderful care from Southwest Va where we don’t have access to a MD dermatologist. The nurse practitioner are also excellent at this practice!!

Saw Dr Casey Watkins. She and her assistant were excellent. Friendly and professional. Made me feel very comfortable and also that they really cared. I never felt rushed. Even the woman in reception was warm and helpful. Overall I felt very well taken care of.

Dr. Watkins and the entire staff were very professiona! From check-in to check-out, everyone was very nice and welcoming. Dr. Watkins, her PA, and assisting nurse took plenty of time to answer questions, gave a thorough examination, and explained procedures and any additional care needed in great detail! I was very comfortable and would highly recommend!

I would, and have recommended Dermatology Associates of Kingsport. Very little wait time in lobby (5 minutes max, in the 4 times I have been there), they take care you almost immediately once they take you back into the exam room. Dr. Reid performed first procedure and Dr. McCall the second. Both were excellent (and the nurses) in all phases of my procedures! I have had 2 procedures there, and both have been flawless, and pain free. I have almost no scars! Well done!

Dr Sago never ceases to amaze me. Her eye is sharp and ever watchful. She was able to notice a challenge that I was having (one that most men ignore and think nothing of) and offer her knowledge and help in solving a long time bothersome problem, all before I ever knew it was a condition that could be eliminated through treatment. She always offers simple, practical, and economical solutions to solve issues on the lowest level first. Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies but so many ignore it. Thank God she doesn’t! I will be a patient of hers for as long as she is in practice! Thanks Dr Sago!!!

I have been going here for about 4 months and the first 3 months I had a nurse who was not amazing, she never really examined my face or anything she’d just come in tell me I was good and then walk back out. With my most recent visit I had a nurse who was much better sadly I don’t remember either of their names

I love this office. I was in and out very quickly, even with a biopsy completed. The provider had an excellent bedside manner and I never felt a thing during the biopsy. She ensured my comfort at all times. I highly recommend this office for all of your dermatological needs!

Wait time was very short. From the time I checked in, taken back by the nurse, procedure completed by the doctor and checked out, everyone was very courteous and professional. Excellent care and after care instructions were detailed perfectly. All questions were answered extremely well.

All staff were extremely friendly as well as caring. I had to bring my 4 month old baby to my appointment, and they said they could have someone extra come in and soothe her if needed. I thought that was so kind of them. My OB office doesn’t even do that. It’s going the extra mile like this that really makes a difference in good quality healthcare.

I highly recommend Dermatology and Associates.My wait time was less than 5 minutes.Once I was taken back to the exam room. My wait time for the Doctor was about 5 minutes also. The entire staff was very professional and pleasant as was the doctor answered all my questions and put my mind at ease over the moles that I had to hit changed. I could go on and on but I highly recommend this group of dermatologist they also treated my fiance and he had skin cancer it was removed and they got it all. He also highly recommends them.

I received excellent care from this group. The appointment process was efficient and friendly. My care was delivered by a Nurse Practitioner (Lily) assisted by (Olivia). Both nurses were very efficient, caring, and professional. Olivia in particular was very friendly and did an outstanding job of making me feel at ease and seeing that I experienced no undue pain during my procedure. Together they personified what I would want my staff to be if I were the physicians in this practice.

Absolutely the most efficient, courteous and informative Staff in the tri cities area. NP Angela Miles replaced my retired Dr Rash. I absolutely can’t say enough good things about how kind, her exam, the diagnosis and treatment and the overall visit was with her!! Also had a wonderful nurse, (forgot her name) that assisted her during exam and procedure. VERY satisfied and will tell others about these fine folks

Emily Shelburn is very professional kind and compassionate to her clients. Very knowledgeable and a great experience. Chemical peels are painful but she does her best to distract and help with getting your mind off the pain. Also says call me if you have a lot of pain or any problems. Staff is excellent. I was able to get an appointment quickly even though a new patient. Everyone pleasant and helpful. Very short wait time in waiting room & in exam room. Dr determined quickly what the issue was & prescribed meds that I could see a difference within 24 hours. Im very pleased

After I arrived for my appointment, check-in was very pleasant and I was soon seen by the staff. (The waiting room is large with plenty of space to socially distance.) The nurse who first saw me made every step of the appointment clear. I was quickly seen by the doctor who was very thorough with the exam and knowledgeable and explained everything well. At every stage of the appointment, I felt very comfortable asking any questions I had. Checkout was very quick and they made clear the timing of my next appointment.

Ive been with Dermatolgy Associates for many, many years and the doctors there are the BEST! Its like they have x ray vision!! My doctors (Dr. Sago and Dr. Sanders) have found skin cancers on me when no one else could! I trust them with my life, literally!!

DA in Kingsport is a nice facility with professional staff. From the minute I walked in the door to when I left, everyone was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the efficiency of text messaging notifying me of my upcoming appointment and the reminders on the day of the appointment. The nurse and doctor were excellent and explained everything that needed to be done. Having moved from an HMO in Colorado, I wasnt sure what to expect but DA definitely met all of my expectations!

I always get the best treatment when I have to come in. The entire staff is an outstanding group of dedicated employees. Ive been to both the Johnson City and Kingsport locations and am absolutely blown away by the compassionate, professional care that Ive received at both locations. From front desk staff to techs and nurses to doctors, the staff has all been truly exceptional - informative, helpful, and encouraging. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of dermatological care in the Tri-Cities.

The front desk was so sweet and the wait wasnt long at all. We walked in and didnt even sit down, they was already calling us back. They explained everything to us in a matter that we could understand and we was checked in and out within 35 minutes. Wonderful place and staff.

As usual, my experience with Dr Sago was excellent. She diagnosed my new skin problem, too photographs for my medical record, prescribed a drug and a salve to treat the problem, explained what she had prescribed and gave me clear written instructions on proper usage. She is one of the best physicians I know and I’ve felt that way for the 10 years or so that I’ve been her patient. She is awesome!

There are many impressive details about Dermatology Associates; I have had me and both my of my elderly parents there for various reasons.Their care, especially, was outstanding through MOHS with Mother and a fungus problem that Dad had not had any doctor help in 50 years after several attempts. Dr. Sago knew exactly was to do.Three cancer ordeals were treated with great gentleness on my 90+ year old mother.But my favorite, favorite part is the organized appointment reminding system! Voice messages and texts make sure I do not forget days before and day before. Wonderful help!

Office was running schedule with appointment time. The visit with the Dr. was too rushed for an annual check up.

My husband had been seeing a local dermatologist for years his fingers look like someone who had flesh eating disease wore bandages on every finger the top of his ears would crack and bleed during the summer our First trip to Dermatologist associates he saw a NP 2 nd trip she wasn’t sure because the meds she gave him wasn’t doing anything she asked if she could get a couple of colleagues to come and get their opinion Dr Sago was one of them so she looked at his hands she couldn’t believe how his fingers was she took pictures and told us she would do some research 3rd trip she did a biopsy he has lupus and his lupus attacks his skin when someone mentions a dermatologist I tell them they need to switch to Dr Sago my husband hasn’t worn bandaids since and he makes it through winter We think she is the best and we do not mind the 3 and 1/2 hour trip to get there

Dr Riemenschneider was great. No long wait .... I arrived... checked in and taken to exam room within minutes. Exam was thorough and completed in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend.
