My go-to piercing shop! kind and understanding staff, all piercings are in private rooms instead of those curtained off spaces. the door can be closed for extra privacy, but the rooms are secluded enough Ive never felt the need to. staff are professional and friendly, always willing to answer questions and will not pierce you if it is unsafe for your anatomy. got vertical snake bites and a mid eyebrow here. good jewelry and reasonable prices. if I remember right its about 70-80 per piercing with jewelry. its 30 w/o jewelry (jewelry previously purchased from there). would recommend for anyone who enjoys piercings!

This place was clean and professional in their piercings, they were nice to us.I feel conflicted about my bad review,But I left feeling confused and mislead about the kind of jewelry I bought.They describe a flat back that they put on the studs- that sounds pretty standard, yeah? Except they didn’t tell us that you can’t get the jewelry off by yourself. They didn’t bring up that key information Until after they did the piercing, and they wanted to schedule an appointment to have the bar shortened. If I need to remove my jewelry for any reason, emergency or otherwise, I either have to go rely on them, go somewhere else, or cut it off with pliers. I have seven other piercings and this has never been the standard at any shop I’ve visited. I’m pretty sure they do it on purpose to coerce you into being a repeat customer. Apparently it costs 12 dollars to have them remove the piercing that they didn’t tell me I can’t remove myself.I left there Feeling stupid, and mislead.Currently dreading their reconciliatory response “thank you for sharing your concerns what can we do better” so I’ll get ahead of itEverything else was great, honestly, but felt lessened by this one detail.Please train your staff to be super transparent about those sorts of details. It’s important information that would have informed my choices, but it was not shared with me. I didn’t get what I was expecting.

Ancient adornments is the best! Cute storefront, friendly helpful staff, beautiful selection of jewelry. The staff make you feel super comfy when they’re doing your piercings! I’ve been coming here for years and will always come back for new piercings.

So if you check online it states walk ins are welcome and when you call they also state walk ins welcome. But when you arrive the place states fully booked for the day ? This makes absolutely no sense. How are u accepting walk ins but your fully booked for the day ???? I asked Shantel , well can I schedule an apt , and the woman in the front said no it’s only walk ins ????If it’s walk ins only and no one is here waiting then why can’t I be taken care of ????? Makes no sense ! I expected more from this place and I’m a returning customer. Never coming back.

Love this place! I’ve had 2 piercings done now, (tragus and conch) but healed perfectly. The workers are all nice and professional and their jewelry section is IMMACULATE. It is on the pricier side, but I can see why. They have some more reasonably priced titanium jewelry that is still very cute, but all of their gold (both white and yellow) jewelry is so stunning, it’s worth the price since you’ll probably be keeping it in for ~6-9 months!

I came in as a walk-in and they were very polite to me I had a few questions because it was my first time getting pierced I got 2 helix piercings and throughout the whole time they made sure I felt comfortable. Like I always say treat your artist right and they’ll do the same thank you Alex and crew for making my first time experience great keep up the great work and awesome attitudes

Very professional, very quick, and less painful than going to Claires by far. They answered all our questions and were extremely patient and helpful. I highly recommend this place. They were very clean and changed gloves everything they touched anything, which is great practice since I really dont want an ear infection. I couldnt get an industrial like I wanted, but was recommended a helix and a flat, which I can connect with a chain. Very well done.

I had a decent experience with the staff, and they seemed knowledgeable about their products and services. My review is so poor because of the jewelry quality. If I drop 100 bucks on a navel ring, it should last more than a few months. The last navel piece I purchased from a piercing shop lasted 6+ years, and here I got a few months out of a piece I was talked into getting. Ive literally had Claires jewelry last longer. Im on 7 years with my nose ring from another quality jewelry shop. Im just disappointed. It was the third time of it falling apart that I lost the base. Just not a good place for jewelry, despite the price tag.

I almost feel bad writing a negative review because everyone there was so nice, but unfortunately I’ve had a horrible experience with the nose piercing I got 3 weeks ago. Everything was fine until this morning, I woke up and my nose stud was completely inside my nose. It had sunken in while I slept and there was a bump of skin starting to heal over it. (I had noticed recently that it was sinking a little bit and I was planning to swap it for a larger stud, but I had no idea it could just be absorbed like that).I called a different shop and the guy had to break the skin to get the stud out and drain the bump. It was really painful but I’m thankful he was able to take it out. He said the reason this happened was because the original piercer used a piece that was much too short for proper healing and because they used one that had a crown, and crowns can slowly cut the skin and start embedding into the hole.I’m very disappointed since I paid extra to use their small gold stud (they never warned me this could potentially happen). I have another nose piercing from a different shop that healed easily with no problems so I never expected something like this to happen. I’m really worried that I’m going to have a permanent scar or keloid from this

I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They’ve always been phenomenally helpful. I’m going through some medical issues that required I take out my piercings for an extended period of time, a few closed up and had to be re-pierced; I needed help putting most of them back in. I have to have an MRI soon so I’m gonna have to take them all out again and have help putting them back in again. And through all of this they’ve been kind, understanding, professional, and helpful. their jewelry selection is beautiful and high-quality. I can’t say enough, really.

Been looking for a shop in westwood, ended up getting my navel pierced by Amber and couldn’t be happier with the results Professional service and super clean procedure. 125 for everything including tip- a bit more than I was expecting but definitely worth the reassurance and beautiful piercing. No issues at all after 3ish weeks.

Amazing experience. Was my second nose piercing and I was very nervous. Alexis answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable the whole way through. They were very clear in pricing and their jewelry selection is absolutely stunning. 10/10 would recommend.

Staff were very friendly and followed strict COVID and sterilization guidelines. Major downside was that their prices werent posted online nor next to their jewelry, and when I asked, their explanation was super confusing. It ended up being way more expensive than I was originally anticipating, but I felt bad for backing out, when I had already waited in line and said I would get the piercing. It also would have been nice to have a better system of managing people flow. If youre willing to pay high prices, youll have a good experience. It just caught me by surprise.

Cant recommend these amazing folks enough. Theyve been great for three separate trips over six months. Theyre knowledgeable and friendly, and the sanitization and COVID policies are top notch. They have a lot of beautiful jewelry to choose from, too! It can get busy, though, so your best bet is to get there at opening or be willing to put your name in and come back if they dont have immediate space to let you in (access is restricted getting in for safety and privacy reasons!).

Ancient adornments had a booth at the Los Angeles tattoo convention in January 2023. I decided to treat myself to a septum piercing.First things first, they only sell quality jewelry. 24 karat gold, 12 karat gold, that sort of thing. If youre looking for a cheap piercing, this is not the place to go. If You are looking for well trained piercers and staff, all with excellent bedside manner who will walk you through the process and everything that theyre supposed to do., This is the place to go.The septum piercing was remarkably quick and significantly less painful than I expected. Theyre happy to answer any questions you might have, the only thing I regret is that I didnt get a smaller hoop for the piercing.

I had prior trouble with another piercing shop so i came to this shop in hopes of getting my piercing fixed and this shop did not disappoint. Everything went as smooth as butter they helped with the piercing. Everything was great def 5 stars!!!!

Great piercing place. Very professional, takes all covid precautions carefully. I went to Alex twice for helix, tragus, and lobe piercings. She is very precise and a perfectionist, making sure the piercings line up perfectly. Ive had no issues with any of the piercings. My friends went to see the other piercers there and all had good experiences, definitely recommend this place for piercings. Schedule online is easy. They are always busy so be sure to schedule online in advance.

Have gone for two lobe piercings now, both went smoothly. Currently they do walk-ins only and I went right near open so I didnt have to wait outside very long. Im relatively new to piercings, and they answered all my questions and provided me with clear aftercare instructions. Im looking forward to going back in a few months!

I went to Ancient Adornments to get help with a piercing that another piercer (in a different city) had really messed up. They were so incredibly helpful and my piercings are doing so much better!So friendly and helpful with a great/beautiful selection of jewelry. Im definitely coming back here for future piercings. ☺️

I got my ears pierced at the same time my friend got her nose pierced. Shauna did both and she was phenomenal. She was helpful and funny and walked us through the whole process. This was my first piercing and my friend hates needles. Shauna’s friendliness and calm demeanor were great.Highly recommend.

I went in to get my helix pierced and the piercer Shauna was very standoffish. Every question I asked she just stared at me and after like five seconds she would vaguely answer my questions. One we got to the actual piercing part she took me through the procedure BUT the aftercare instructions that she gave me were to clean it with shampoo or body wash. I asked about doing a saline wash to clean it or if i should clean it with antibacterial soap and she insisted on knly cleaning it with normal shampoo/body wash that I use. She said the saline wash and antibacterial soap were “unnecessary.” Knowing that these people are APP LICENSED PIERCERS, I followed their aftercare instructions. Despite leaving it alone and cleaning it how Shauna instructed, I developed a huge bump on my helix piercing. I got it looked at by a different APP certified piercer and they said it was “completely botched” and that her aftercare instructions were very unprofessional and are malpractice. I would not recommend coming here and getting a piercing done from Shauna!!!tldr: Shauna’s “aftercare instructions” were malpractice and have caused me to have a huge bump on my ear. Very disappointed in my overall experience with Ancient Adornments

I had my nose pierced here and had a great experience. The piercer was knowledgable and professional. The jewelry was expensive, but Ive been really happy with the quality. They had a lot of options and I LOVE the piece I selected. I got mine done over a month ago and have had no issues.

Excellent customer service. They are also very professional here. I have several piercing and have never been assessed and measured before being pierced like this. They really look at your body anatomy before piercing you. Excellent care and service. They even ask you to come back for a 1 month follow up appointment if possible at no extra charge. I will definately be coming back as a repeat customer.

Ive been to this shop several times now! Got 8 new pieces of jewelry replaced and installed, a piercing consultation, 2 microdermals removed, and a labret piercing.Ive had nothing but positive experiences with the shop. Theyre APP accredited, which means you can trust their quality. The piercers and office staff are knowledgable, professional, and very helpful. Im planning to get another piercing soon, and Im definitely heading there.

Shawna pierced my nose. Awesome job! She was very gentle and quick. Would highly recommend this spot! A lot of jewelry choices as well. I was nervous at first but the staff was so professional and informative, i was immediately put as ease. This may be shallow but it helped my mind to see piercers that actually have piercings....I dont know why but its validating. Almost like having a lifeguard that never gets in the water...you know that they mustve passed the test to become a lifeguard but have they demonstrated their knowledge in front of other lifeguards???....if not trust me...they are not respected. I know...long explanation but it rings true for me when getting pierced!!😉ijs

I called ahead of showing up to make sure the facilities were wheelchair friendly and whether I needed to make an appointment before I came in. I brought my husband along so he could see how ear piercings go when they dont use a piercing gun. Penny was amazing and got me set up with a set of captured bead rings in my tertiary piercings that had healed back over three years ago, and tapered my secondaries to make sure they were clear to go. I was able to stay in my wheelchair and not transfer over, which was great. I loved the atmosphere that the workers were curating, and I absolutely feel comfortable leaving my husband who has ASD in their capable hands should he choose to return on his own time.

I got my nose pierced about 2 months ago now and I’m so happy I made the decision to come here. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful. Shawna is amazing and really knows what she’s doing. Thank you for everything.

Called them about me having metal allergies (i can only wear gold and pierce with gold), and the lady told me they DO have gold earrings to pierce with and when she said the price of the earrings, out of shock i asked her if the whole earring is made out of gold and she said NO? The thing that does inside your ear is made out of ANOTHER metal??? So you’re telling me if i never asked if the whole thing is made out of gold AFTER I’ve told them I am allergic they would’ve pierced me and infected my ear? What’s crazy is charging $80 dollars for “gold” earrings that aren’t even fully gold.

I went in expecting alot because of a YouTuber review but lord the experience was horrible the staff is super rude and to top it off the jewelry is over priced. For one little earring $270 🤬 ridiculous and its not all gold the back of the earing is regular metal. Dont even waist your time and money there.

I went there once and it was nice, the issue is I’m trying to go there again.Right now they have walk in appointments only, which is fine, but both locations seem wholly incapable of answering the phone. I have specific questions that are not on the website and I’ve been calling for hours with no answer from either location. And it’s not a busy dial tone, they just aren’t picking up.This place is out of the way for me so I need to check something before I go again. But I guess I just won’t go back since no one knows how to pick up a call.

Penny was great, she assisted me with switching out jewelry and tapering for a frenum piercing on two occasions recently so that I’d find what was most comfortable. Everything worked out great.

Mr. Rabbit (Roger) and his staff are great. Felt great from the time I walked-in to the time I left. Roger was able to accommodate my placement perfectly and with extreme professionalism. I got all my facial piercings here — PHENOMENAL service but make sure you SPEAK UP about what you want. You will get EXACTLY what you want if you properly speak up about it. Don’t shy away from properly explaining where you want your placement to be. You NEED to let them know when they ask you to elaborate.

Super quick and easy. They let you pick out the jewelry and tell you the process right there. They even let me compare different ones to see what I liked the best. I came when they opened and was in and out within 20 minutes.

Sent an email with some questions regarding some old piercings I had done at another place that needed to be rearranged. I also was going to buy some labrets. Never heard back from them and its been almost a week. Wont ever go there if thats how they treat prospective clients. Contacted another place in another state, for crying out loud. Got a response within a day and the labrets I ordered arrived within three days. Now thats sevice.

With patience, they explained all the details of piercing- regarding the questions I asked and more. They also recommended coming back after one month for a check-up to make sure its setting nicely.Kind and personable.

Expensive jewelry. The pierciers are friendly and do a good job although they dont all seem to have the same amount of experience. The peircier I had did a great job and the one who did my follown up seemed to be less knowledgeable. Id probably come back for a piercing with the same person but not to just buy jewelry.

Didnt have great luck here. The son of the owner was great it was my first piercing ever so I dont know much about the process. My ear was pierced and I was told I was getting a long stick/rod (not sure what its called) through my ear with the stone I chose at the end (total about $90). I was told i had to get the extra long rod because my ear may swell during the healing process and that I could come back in two month and get the shorter rod once theres no swelling. I came back 2 months later and the father/owner was there. I felt like I was being treated with a short abrasive tone as he told me we dont switch to shorter rods for free thatll cost you an additional $20 or $25 dollars. He also began to make me feel as if I was lying stating that his son would have never said that. Its not even about the extra money... I mean I make a good living and I live in the immediate neighborhood, its about the way I was spoken to. Ive gone to my barber for help since he referred me to this place, because the rod is so tight and neither of us can even get the earring to untwist. Just be honest up front with people about prices otherwise it comes off as desperate and makes one wonder what else you may be doing that is questionable. I mean I could have even bought another color stone just to get the shorter rod, but the energy was foul.

Penny is excellent. She is a true professional at what she does. Whenever I have issues, I go in and they take care of me with no questions asked. My very first visit, they made me feel comfortable and Penny was very informative in the choices I made.

I was helped by a trainee and ended up with lots of wrong information.First the trainee said that I could swap out my jewelry free of charge if I didn’t like what I’d picked out (I was indecisive about a few pieces)Then the trainee gave me incorrect information about the backings and their size.And finally one of the earrings fell out within a couple weeks of the piercing (nothing got snagged, just improperly put in when I was pierced)After speaking to the owner, he essentially blamed me for taking the trainees word as fact and said that I’m responsible for a trainees incorrect information.

Chantel pierced my septum for me and I had a great experience! My experience was quick and mostly painless with great customer service and clear instructions for aftercare. I love my new piercing and I would definitely recommend the shop and Chantel to a friend!

The girl started talking to us didn’t have enough knowledge for toddler earpieces. When I asked more questions about material and sizes she wasn’t happy about me questioning. In addition, she quoted us double the price of other locations.When we asked if they can get both ears done at the same time, she said NO! The location near where I live said YES absolutely possible to get both ears done at the same time.Got unpleasant experience at this location!Go to Redondo Beach. They are extremely friendly and know what they are doing and have more variety.

Got my septum done here. Penny was the one who did it, she was very kind and seemed to know just what level she wanted the septum for my nose. This place was honestly a lot cheaper than other places Ive looked. All my friends said this would be $100 if not more and Mine was just $75.They were all so funny and joking around, it really helped relax me as they stabbed a needle through my sternum.

Adornments implies a selection of piercing jewelry, and there was not a lot to choose from. I taken in for my appiontment 30 minutes late without any acknowledgement. And due to COVID wasnt allowed to look at what jewelry they did have until I was allowed in. But my piercer was nice once I was finally in.

BRING A MASK OR VACCINE CARD. Masks are required and they provide some but you have to pay for them and who needs that. Otherwise love the staff and it was fast and easy. Pretty great for a walk in

I went here to get my earlobes pierced and it was very quick and painless. The piercer was also very nice and professional. However, only downside is that it is a bit pricey. Overall Id recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly staff but stupidly overpriced. $12 to take a piercing OUT? Not even a swap, literally just taking them out because I couldn’t do it myself. Was in the chair for all of 90 seconds. All the staff were lovely but I wouldn’t come here again because the prices are sky high.

Just went in to change more than a year old piercings and now they all feel as sore as I did when I pierced them. How I dont even understand. Ive changed piercings on my own before and never experienced this. Either their so called gold is fake and irritating my piercings or he did a horrible job putting them in.

I came to the studio today as a walk-in. I received a more than friendly welcome and even though I was undecided at the beginning about whether I would get pierced or just look for jewelry, I was given all the time in the world and I was given more than perfect advice.The studio has high hygiene standards and my piercer took a lot of time to explain the process to me and get my piercing perfect for me. I can only recommend the studio to everyone, regardless of whether you are looking for (quality) jewelry or want to beautify your body. 🥰
