Love it here! Got some jewelry changes over the years here and they are super kind, gentle, and straightforward. I am looking forward to coming back and actually getting pierced and tatted but so far, this place is great. I really appreciate y’all!

Brian pierced my daughters ears and I learned we both are veterans. He is an absolute professional and a fun and skilled individual. He also has excellent taste in music.

I waited to write this review until after I had gotten my nose rings fixed. A couple years ago I came into the shop and asked if they could take a look at my piercing. Brian proceeded to say it was crooked and needed to come out completely/we needed to start over and he would repierce it in a couple days. This was the first red flag, I did not want this and felt pressured to agree with his expertise.Fast forward yall I show up on said day and he isnt there! So his very kind apprentice does the piercing, I cant even be mad at them for it being crooked because they shouldnt have had to pierce in the first place. This piercing was crooked and would not stay in my nose, they had over bent the post, so I ended up having to get it piercing a THIRD TIME yall!All that just to say this shop doesnt value your time or the permanence of what theyre doing with your body. My piercer at CDMX listened to my concerns, took time to find the right jewelry for my face, measured my face, drew a line, recalibrated etc, to really make sure it was symmetrical and no ones time was waisted. Theres a big difference between a professional and someone just going through the motions. This place is more an assembly line/similar to piercing spots you see near a university.(Important disclaimer: I made a video for this tattoo shop when I worked at Buzzfeed (that has over 2 M views, yikes!) but actually now that Im older and have had my nose piercing fixed by another piercer I cannot in good conscious recommend this place or Brian Keith Thompson anymore.)

I had a piercing done here on a recent trip to LA. The owner did my piercing and was fast, friendly, and runs an immaculate shop. The front desk person was extremely sweet and helpful. I was able to schedule an appt same day by calling first thing and leaving a voicemail. They got back to me via text when they opened. It is an appointment only place, so don’t attempt to walk in. Go early to find street parking!

I ring the bell at 9:15 and some guy yells out the window “we’re closed” I wasn’t even getting a piercing was going to ask a question or buy jewelryHave a better attitude bro… am I supposed to be sorry goggle says you close at 9:30?I drove almost an hour to get here

Terrible service. Artist wanted to do his own thing. Intense pressure to execute his own design. My advice is dont pay a deposit as you wont get it back if you try to cancel.

Brian Keith Thompson is a one of a kind artist. He did my constellation piercing and I love the results! The process of booking an appointment was done through Veronica. Veronica is very kind and professional. Body Electric Tattoo is clean and beautifully decorated. Brian did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and the piercing process was quick and pain free. It was truly a wonderful experience to have and I am very happy with the piercing he gave me. I got my piercing only a few hours ago and I have no pain from it. Thank you Brian!

I rarely write reviews, but this place is top-notch and deserves all the love.Veronica was super helpful with scheduling and answering initial questions before I came in. On the day of my appointment, the staff was great and the check in process was simple. It seemed like they had a couple repeat clients, which is usually a good sign. Overall, the vibe was welcoming and chill.I had an appointment with Brian for two piercings (helix and conch). Brian is one of the most fascinating people I’ve met and has so many stories to tell. The studio is immaculate and definitely passed his “are the floors clean?” test. Before going in, Brian got a feel for the style of jewelry I wanted and placements for my piercings. The studio was sanitized before we started and Brian was so entertaining throughout. I wasn’t nervous going in and was even more excited after watching the artists at Body Electric work with clients. Brian listened and ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED. He made suggestions for jewelry and additional piercings to curate a constellation; some of which I hadn’t considered. I’m so grateful and excited to work with him again.If you have a chance to work with Brian or anyone else at Body Electric – DO IT! I highly highly recommend them. My only regret is not going in to start my body mod journey sooner. It’s been a couple hours and I’m already obsessed with my new piercings. I’ll definitely be back!

What a GREAT EXPERIENCE!! I went in for an ear piercing as a part of my 60th Bday gift to myself. The crazy part is I noticed a lady’s ear piercing & she highly recommended Body Electric. The next day I made an appointment. Brian the owner has a beautiful spirit and Steph who was my piercer made me feel comfortable and we’ve already planned my next piercings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! This shop is consistently superior to other venues. Ive scheduled 7 tattoos here, and each one is high quality with professional, super well informed staff. They wont do work unless they know it will turn out to be high quality.

Me and my husband traveled here from Louisville ky to get pierced by Brian and needless to say we were not disappointed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, definitely the best piercer Ive been to. Highly recommend him. We also loved all of the jewelry options we had to choose from. Would not hesitate to make the trip again for future piercings.

Got my helix pierced by Brian yesterday and I gotta say, this was the best experience Ive had in any shop Ive been to! Brian is super knowledgeable and has a TON of experience so youre safe in his hands! Be sure to call ahead and get an appointment, it gets very busy sometimes. Also, their jewelry selection is top notch!

I was very particular about choosing a piercer, especially for something as forward-facing as a septum piercing. I had read a lot about BKTs standards for his shop, so I was comfortable with any of the piercers there. I just happened to have someone give me a glowing review of Steph, who had done a septum piercing for her, so I booked with her. I cant even tell you how professional Steph is! Her placement was exceptional (BKT even said so), she is patient, and walks you through the entire process so that you are comfortable. It was relatively painless. She was so gentle that I couldnt feel her inserting the jewelry. I would highly recommend Body Electric and Steph for piercing.

This place is different then any other tattoo / piercing salon out there. You feel the artists eye the moment you walk in, the space is magical and has such a special vibe. I was lucky enough to have had Brian Keith Thompson do a constellation piercing on me and let him choose how to design my ear... let me say I AM SO GLAD I DID. He was incredible, he has such a precision and customization. He got to know me and my style and he truly created something better then I could ever imagine. This space and the talent is worth every penny and truly elevates your look in such a custom unique way. I won’t go anywhere else for piercings ever. Thanks so much Brian 🙏🏻

I got a tattoo done here a few months ago! Ive never been happier and Martin does an incredible job! They have a really cool, and clean parlor! Martin made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed a break or not. Overall Im really happy with my cherry blossom tattoo! I get so many compliments about my tattoo. I tell them exactly where to go if they want quality work like this!

Came here on a whim and was not disappointed! I had seen this place come across my path a couple of times, but decided to get another identical piercing to one I already had today. Dom did a kickass job at helping me decide the placement and was a pro when it came time to face the needle. No scummy sales people trying to force things on you. Not sketchy or shady like places I’ve been to in the past. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend this shop, and I’ll definitely be back for a tattoo!

This shop is amazing, clean and professional. Dom is the diva to see! She is knowledgeable AND friendly! Dom explained each thing she was doing as we went along and made me feel comfortable during the entire Helix piercing experience! Dom knows what shes doing and my Helix piercing is healing wonderfully! I am going back and while Im sure the other artists are great, I will only see my DIVA DOM! :-)

I went in for a nose stud three days ago and I was told that the stud was very difficult to come off. She even used a tool to apply and secure the stud. This made me feel confident. However a day later I realized the stud had fallen off. Idk how or even when but it just doesn’t make sense. The associates were sweet, but they should really sell better quality products. I spent nearly $60 for a piercing that only lasted a day.

Went to get ear pierced by Brian. Emailed them that I have sensitive ears and can only get gold earrings because I’m allergic to certain metals except gold. Came in got pierced and 3 months later got an infection and found out they put titanium! I had trusted that by paying $600+ that I’d get gold and legit piercing with no problems. When I contacted him about my situation to resolve the matter he was beyond rude and gaslighted me! And hung up the phone on my face….I explained that I had to get antibiotics and a cortisone shot-and my ears are no longer pierced due to this situation. I was so upset. After much back and forth they finally agreed to refund me back. I wondered if I was a celebrity or influencer would he have spoken to me like that? So disrespectful and uncalled for. Would not recommend this “world famous” business. Save your money and support smaller shops instead.

I love coming to Body Electric Tattoo and Piercing Studio because it is the cleanest and dopest studios I’ve ever been. I only get my tattoos and piercings done here. The team is very professional and I always feel welcomed when I come in. This place is like a temple and I can tell the staff loves what they do. I fell in LOVE with this studio as soon as I walked in couple years ago and I have never left. I highly recommend this place for first timers or veterans like myself when it comes to piercings and tattoos!

They gave me a price after doing my tattoos, plus the shop minimum was $100 but apparently since my four stars were done in separate places it counts as 2 separate tattoos so I ended up paying $200 for four quarter sized tattoos. Plus theyre unorganized they let 3 people go before me waiting for 2 hours even though they told me it was a 30 minute wait. Im definitely trying other places.

It was pricey but WELL worth it. They were very patient with me while stretching my ears and getting my first tattoo. They were clean and gave clear after-care instructions. Awz does great line work and he’s got jokes, highly recommend. He cleaned up my own artwork and rolled with it.

Body Electric Tattoo & Piercing is by far the best shop in LA...and possibly the world. The shop is safe, clean, and has a stylish environment. The employees are honest, patient, talented and entertaining. The owner, Brian Keith Thompson, is very professional and passionate about his Business, Artists, and Customers! He goes out of his way to make sure people feel satisfied with the service they have received, and if you are not happy, he will do his best to find a probable solution. I have received two tattoos (Joe Savva is my favorite tattoo Artist) and a bellybutton piercing from this shop. I will only go to Body Electric and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Very good experience there. Brian is good at what is doing : piercing. It was fast, clean and professional. Only good jewelry material (platinum is the minimum). I came to L.A. from Paris and Im glad I could get an appointment. I strongly recommend him.

I luv James. He is a awesome piercer. He is calming, friendly, and very personable. He has alot of patience and knowledge of proper piercing placements according to your unique anatomy. He will not let u leave unhappy or dissatisfied. I been to many piercing shops and this one by far is the best I ever been to. Its clean, professional and sanitary which is my pet peeve being a nurse and even the restroom smells very nice...yes...the restroom smells unlike typical shops like it. I give Body Electric A++. The prices are more than others but not that much, but its so worth it in long run to be happy with what u paid for than unsatisfied. There are two piercers there but I will only go to James. He is definitely a asset to this shop.

The owner, Brian, is the coolest, most comfortable guy: the kind of person that makes everyone whom he speaks with feel like a close friend. We talked for a little while before and after I got my tattoo; great guy and a great place. My artists name was Steven. He had a good eye, a light touch, and a steady hand. Loved the work he did, abd I would definitely go back for ky next tattoo. The parlor is clean, the artists are careful and sanitary, and the prices are reasonable.

Brian Keith Thompson and his staff are absolutely incredible. The atmosphere in the actual studio is both professional and friendly. The jewelry provided is both high quality and beautiful and the actual piercing experience was quick and pleasant due to BKT’s skill. My mother and 3 year old we aslo super comfortable and welcomed in the studio. I absolutely plan on going back and if my girl’s ears weren’t already pierced this is where I would bring them no question. This is the place to be if you are looking for they best all around piercing experience.

I am extremely happy with my experience. They fit me in last minute and were very helpful to make the scheduling work. The space was exceptionally clean and sanitary. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a piercing.

When it comes to permanently illustrating your life on your own canvas, these guys are the ones you want to go to. Can’t imagine going somewhere else in LA after coming here. Jacob took an idea I’d been working on for 2 years and turned into a design that was better than anything I’d imagined, then proceeded to tattoo it perfectly. Was super supportive and gave clean lines that have aged well. Highly recommend both the studio and Jacob. Slightly pricey but you get what you pay for and then some.

I came home for leave from VA, and I got lucky enough to get an appointment before going back. When I explained that the appointment was on my last day here in CA, Mike was still willing to work with me. I showed some reference pictures to him and explained to him what I wanted. He made an impressive sketch that already had me excited, but the end results left me breathless. What was the most impressive thing about my experience here though is that he actually sat down and tatted me for 8 hours, with several short breaks in between. That takes a lot of focus, passion, and dedication. Everyone else here is pretty cool too. Cracking jokes about MILFs walking in, playing cool music, and occasionally complimenting on the work in progress. I think I might just get a tattoo here to hang out. For my first tattoo, I have no regrets at all. Ive made so many friends and received many compliments on it. Thats right, I get to hang out with the cool kids now.

I did my (under)lip-piercing in there.First what you see on the outside an A what means very good. Then you come inside.The people in there are so nice, humorous and totally cool. The piercer: very very cool dude. He calms you down and does his job really good (how he should).I recommend this studio everyone who want a tattoo or a piercing in LA, even if youre only on vacation.

Daniel was my tattoo artist, but everyone there is amazingly skilled! And the whole place is a total awesome vibe, not skeezy like some tattoo places. Go here! Worth every penny.

This shop had great customer service and the tattoo artist I worked with was talented, kind, and quick. I was able to bring a design of my own and the pricing was affordable. The atmosphere inside is pleasant as well.

Visited the shop twice in last 4 months to find a BVLA nose ring. Once it was a Saturday early afternoon, fairly busy, and front desk service was dismissive. It felt like they were understaffed and stressed. I didnt buy anything that time because it didnt feel right and I didnt feel strongly attached to any jewelry. All things considered, the space was spotless, the piercers and tattoo artists were friendly and authentic, the jewelry collection was wide ranging and beautiful, and it is conveniently placed. So I visited for the 2nd time this past weekend (Jan 2019). Slamming but front desk staff was ON POINT. Immediate greeting, following up and giving a wait time estimate, attentive to your inquiries and preferences, and knowledgeable. It was meant to be because I met the owner, Brian, who knew exactly what to give me based on my limited ideas and took me back immediately to swap my nose stud for the hoop. He was professional, funny, dry, and smooth AF. Hes literally Dapper Dan (sick suited LEWK). Piece was reasonable for a rose gold BLVA hoop ($65). I will buy my jewelry from them and if I want another piercing, or God help my God-fearing parents - a tattoo! - I know where to go. 10/10 recommend if you want precision, cleanliness, and a healthy dose of sarcasm.

During my visit to Los Angeles, I decided to commemorate my time spent with a tattoo that I had been planning for quite some time. Believe it or not, I found out about this place through numerous Buzzfeed videos that had indirectly publicized the tattoo parlor. I though to myself if its good enough for Buzzfeed, its good enough for me! And my artist, Daniel, did not disappoint. Not only was he super knowledgeable and friendly, he did an absolutely AMAZING job on my tattoo. The next time I am in Los Angeles (and planning to get some ink work done), it will be with Body Electric!

My boyfriend came was initially unsure about whether he would go-through with the tattoo, but the tattoo artist did a great job with the design, and my boyfriend was pleased with the tattoo afterwards. The staff did seem a little hurried at times for no apparent reason, albeit my boyfriend was indecisive and we entered the store somewhat near closing. I enjoyed being able to kick-back on the comfortable couches and look over the tattoo designs while I waited, but I was a disappointed that I wasnt allowed to be next to my boyfriend while he was getting the needle in him in order to support him. Maybe thats not a policy unique to this store? Look for the PlayBoy magazines in the mens restrooms. I laughed out loud.

Got my conch done here. Dom was amazing and everything was clean and sanitary. The piercing itself was quick and pretty painless; planning on coming back here to get my third lobes, forward helix, and my mid cartilage!

The shop minimum is $100, which is pretty steep. The whole vibe of the place was unwelcoming. My tattoo ended up badly done. The artist was standoffish, and I felt uncomfortable the whole time. He did a terrible job at shading on my tattoo. Do not recommend.

I am very hard on reviews. For me to post a review, the company has either terrible service or oustanding service. The ones in the middle, I feel have done nothing in my eyes to rate a review and should try harder.Which brings me to Body Electric tatto and piercing. I have been in several tattoo/piercing shops and found some that have caused me concern. I look at how the artist keeps their workstation cleaned and especially their supplies. At Body Electric, I found the suplies to be meticulously organized. This rates high for me, and tells me they have pride in their workspace. This pride relates to a clean environment. If the ink bottles are all facing forward or the neddles are facing the same way, this says a lot.This takes me to the owner of the shop, Brian Kieth Thompson. I brought my wife there for her third piercing. Needless to say she was extremely nervous. Mr. Thompson was extremely professional at all times. He took pride in talking about all the options. This wasnt a production mill type of place..The amosphere was relaxing and the decor added to the artist style. But most of all was the personal attention Mr. Thompson provided to relax my wife for her piercings.He followed up with strict instructions for aftercare and made her repeat them back to her. I identifed this type of instruction with the same you recieve in the military..tell them what to do, explain how to do it, then have them repeat it back so there is no confusion...so I wasnt suprised when he said he had served in the military. This also said a lot to me.To provide an extremely sterile, well organized and relaxed atmospere added to the whole experience that will make us a client for life. If you have an oportunity to see the shop do so, and you will come to the same evaluation.

I called to ask if they were open for piercings and got extreme attitude from the girl/receptionist who picked up saying “No this is a pandemic!”Lost my business. A simple “sorry not at the moment due to the Covid ordinance” would have sufficed. Thank you for educating in me that we’re in a pandemic, I hadn’t noticed.

Amazing first class professional work! Mike Gutowski helped me redeem myself from some past mistakes with the most expert cover up art! Worth flying 3000 miles to get top quality work that I can proudly live with.

I was very impressed with the quality and timing of the service. I came in as a walk in. I was greeted by the owner and spoke with Mike G about what I had in mind. He sketched exactly what I wanted. The wait was not long. I was in and out in about an hour. The staff was friendly and the environment was clean. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Came to Dan with an idea at around noon, we chatted for a bit and sussed out a design and he was able to see me by five the same day. It wasnt very detailed, but he was incredibly professional and helpful.

Went all the way from SF to get my ear pierced given all the great things I had heard. It didnt disappoint, service was great, they were patient helping me decide which piercings I wanted to get, explained everything to perfection and it didnt hurt.

Very nice people. Very accommodating for piercings and excellent tattoo work. Piercing is a bit pricey but its quality hardware.

I think the environment was nice and clean space however the tattoos are over priced and since getting a tattoo here I’ve had to cover it up and I honestly believe you can get better artwork done at another tattoo place for way less.

Busy or slow, I go to see Dom for all my piercings. They always take their time, are friendly and make sure youre taken care of.

This place is incredible, I went there at the first time and changed my tragus piercing it was easy and no pain. Everything they use there is sterilized and other stuff is used for you individually as first time so its totally clean and safe. I went next time with my sister, we both pierced our ears and it was fantastic. Many thanks to Dee who did all the work.This place is excellent for ear piercing. People specialize in it. In addition, all tools are sterilized and they have excellent sterilization devices. There are also pieces used by the same person that are new and then disposed of. We thank Diy for her wonderful work

On vacation here I absolutely wanted to get my design tattooed before leaving..Top hygiene, good atmosphere and Ray very attentive to my expectations and very professional. The price is right and above all the quality is there! Fine lines as I had wished. If I come back to LA I would definitely stay there again.
