Luis is the best . Me and my wife were celebrating our 25th anniversary , we stop by his shop by chance ( accident) and thats the best chance (accident) weve ever taken .. he took care of us . Awesome tattoo and we feel we made a friend . We would definitely come back if we ever come back to Los Angeles . We were visiting from Houston . I highly recommend his work and him

I got a second earlobe piercing here. The experience overall was amazing, Luis was very patient showed me the needle before using it. I saw him clean the earrings in front of me. Gentle hands and steady hold of the needle. He’s really nice over all and held up a great conversation with me. My piercings came out great.

Great place to get tatted. The whole staff makes you feel welcomed. Feels like your getting tatted at home. All the artist are great but Bear is the man!!

I came here last summer of 2013. I designed my own tattoo and i came here to have it done.One visit here got me hooked. their drawings are awesome and Angel is really chill. I came back a few months with my best friend cause she got an anchor under her breast. It came out legit!If you want a nice tattoo for the rest of your life. Come here. I was passing by with my cousin in Boyle Heights and saw city of angels tattoo. I went in just to get some prices, I saw their stuff and really liked their work. So I stayed and got my self a new tattoo of a Hello kitty :) Angel and Luis were very nice and I will sure to come back for my next tattoo.

I got my 1st tattoo with Luis last Thursday May 19th, he did a great job he has a lot of patience. He shows you the equipment he will be using before he opens the packages in front of you. I have say will definitely come back for my 2nd tattoo in a few weeks.

The tattoo came out koo, the artists were respectful... but the L and a few spots of the design are fading. I got it Dec.2nd and its healed really good... over all it was a good experience and they did a good job with writing but for 150$ the ink should have stayed in

I went to this shop twice this week and each time they were closed despite arriving during the time they advertise to be open. I came between 6:30pm and 7pm on both days and they were closed. The first time I called before I went and no one answered, but I went anyway because its close and it says they are open until 10. The second time the open light was on and I saw food on the table through the window but no one answered the doorbell. There wont be a third time.

I got my 1st Tattoo here for Mothers Day 2016, i came in with a rough idea/reference of what i wanted and the end piece came out amazing, completely blew my mind away when John said ok fill go with this he put his pencil down and in just a few minutes i had the syluate of a heart and all 3 of my kids names incorporated...And last minute i asked him if he could add some red touches to it and he did...Omg i cant stop looking at my beautiful tattoo...Everyone thats seen it so far has loved it.I highly recommend it here...He also told me how to take care of it and was very thorough as far as cleaning and sanitizing the work area.Thank you John and City of Angels Tattoo

This place might be ok for a tattoo but do not come here for nipple piercings! He did not have a clamp and just grabbed my nipple. Since he didnt have a clamp he had to keep jabbing the needle until it went all the way through. It wasnt even that painful initially but it was the continuous jabbing that hurt.

Ive had some of my art work done there, its a really cool shop. The atmosphere is comfortable and the guys that run that place are amazing artists. I suggest you stop by and check them out, you wont be disappointed.

As soon as I leave my mother in laws store across the street one of these fools trys to hit on my wife whos works there on weekends by yelling from across the street. What a way to run a business !! Wait till I leave right?? Haha if anybody wants a real tattoo leave a comment and i can point you in the right direction for some real art for a good price
