Excellent experience at Highland Tattoo! My artist knew what I wanted as soon as I showed him a few pictures. Slight language barrier but no problems with communication. Highly recommend Highland Tattoo for all your body modification needs. Viva Guatemala!

Despite the bad reviews me and some friends still went. Alexander barely spoke English but google translate was awesome and he was so wonderful and direct! We all got our tattoos by him. Each one done quickly and effectively! Line work was impeccable! We have one more I didn’t take picture but absolutely wonderful’One month updateOur tattoos healed wonderfully!! Lines are still so sharp !! Will be going back to Alexander

Alexander is a TOP TIER Tattoo artist ! I’m visiting from NY and me and my family decided to get last minute tattoos and I’m so happy we did. He not only took his time, but he literally bodied our tattoos I couldn’t be happier ! Also when we first walked in we were greeted by Kate who I guess was supposed to do our tattoos nothing against her or her work but we liked his work portfolio. She didn’t like that and was rude to my cousin & continued to walk away insulting her in Spanish calling her a “Pendeja”. Not super professional but aside from that we will be back to see Alexander.

I visited this place long time ago, and recently came back and this time I got a tattoo by Viktor and I loved the results, it’s a portrait of my fur baby and of course it means a lot to me so it was very important that it came out perfect which it did. Viktor was very polite, gentle and made sure that the tattoo was what I asked for, he’s also very attentive and has good customer service. These pictures were taken after my tattoo had healed completely. If you’re looking to get a good tattoo I recommend Viktor. Thank you again Viktor and Highland Tattoo.

3 times a charm, finally got a piercing Ive always wanted. Wish Id gotten my pierced name, only the 2nd time Id sceen her, doh! Clean, friendly, lots of jewerly, Ive never had a wait, they wait for me to grow a pair... Cash only.

I got my nose pierced and my brother got his eyebrow pierced and they did a fantastic job. They were very kind and it was fast. I would recommend coming here.

This is my fourth time getting a tattoo at this place and I have always been treated with kind and respect! This tattoo was done by Viktor and I really love how it came out, he always asked how I was doing. If I had any questions or doubts he was patient and listened to what I had to say. Overall I enjoyed the experience and it was worth my money! Def coming back to this place!

I had gotten a tattoo with hunter and I had a very specific yet very simple tattoo and and I felt like he did not pay attention to detail. He did offer to touch it up for free without me asking him to and when I did get the “touch up” he was very rude and did not do a very good job. I am very disappointed because this was my first tattoo and I asked him many times before if this was something he can handle and I wish he had known his limitations before he started because now I have to do the whole tattoo redone by an actual professional and I am not happy with the service here. Please do not come here if you expect quality.

Shout out to Gabriel for making my experience 💯 after telling him the meaning behind my tattoo he made sure to get me tatted right. As well to Managment and the receptionist, much respect to you for send my pictures back to Texas. Definitely stoping by again when I go to Hollywood!

Very disappointing! So I’m just going to start off by saying it took me so long to leave a review because I could not think of the name of the shop. Well, thanks to Apple IPhones because the pictures show the location. May 7, 2022 I was so excited to get the tattoo that days later started to slowly fade until it was completely gone. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the artist name. As you can imagine I’m so very upset it disappeared and also out $120 do to their $100 minimum.

I got a tattoo here 5 months ago. The guy that carved into everyones skin did the same thing to me. I thought he was heavy handed but turns out he might be doing this on purpose and wont stop. My tattoo is a butterfly with a flower but the butterfly doesnt look symmetrical and my flower has large leaves. When it finally healed the tattoo was missing ink and it looked freehand by someone who was intoxicated. You can see how deep we went in a lot of areas. He told me his name was Ramone but I think he lied it sounds like his real name is Viktor comparing my experience to all the other reviews , theyre experience was identical to mine. This place should be closed down or this man should be fired. This is dangerous, and ruining peoples experience in Hollywood.

NEVER GO HERE!!!! Bro, first off. i asked for a 16mm nose ring and he pierced me with a 14mm after he told me it was the smallest one. never once measured my nose out or even inspected to make sure the clamps were in the right place. then continued to try to force the needle through my nose after it was pretty clear it was in the wrong spot. never once got any countdown for the piercing. Lastly the piercer couldn’t even complete my septum piercing and gave me a cash refund after i payed with card. Literally wouldn’t give me any room to breathe after he ripped the needle out and kept shoving q tips in my face. HORRIBLE SHOP. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. i’m questioning wether or not the piercer that ATTEMPTED to pierce my septum is even licensed. Save yourself the pain of going here.( wish i could attach the 20 second video of the piercer trying to “wiggle the needle” through my literal cartilage in my nose )

My boyfriend and I were visiting Hollywood and decided to get matching tattoos. We waited over an hour for the artist to get to the shop and then another 30 minutes for him to clean and set up (mind you the shop was open) the man that did our tattoos Viktor I believe his name was, dug so deep into our skin that he scarred both of us. We were also charged $160 for two uncolored quarter sized tattoos. Would NOT recommend going here.

When I walked into the shop, initially I was a little scared because this was my first time getting a tattoo. I came around 8pm, and Noel was the only tattoo artist at the shop. He was a very patient, and precise artist. He made me feel very comfortable and excited for my first tattoo! I became even more comfortable when he told me that Justin Bieber came in and had many tattoos done by him. My friend was also present, and getting a tattoo. He had a very steady and light hand. I barely felt any pain and it was a very enjoyable experience!

Im sooo happy !My piercer Sara fixed my crooked nose piercing.I had gotten my second nostril done about a month ago at a different shop but it wasn’t symmetrical to my preexisting one So it was really upsetting I went back to them to have it fixed and it was pierced crooked again!I gave up for a while and then wandered into this shop where I had the most amazing service.The man at the desk was friendly and welcomingSara was very profesional, very communicative, very kind, & very clean. She put her time and effort into mapping out the placement.Her apprentice that was observing was very attentive and sweet😊😊 ..I know faces themselves aren’t perfectly symmetrical and I had scar tissue from the other attemptsbut she did a damn good job at getting it as close to perfect as possibleWish I had come here in the first placeI couldn’t be happier 10/10 would recommendDefinitely coming back !

I wish I could leave less than one star. Not only is this place overpriced by almost double but the service was terrible. I came in for a conch ear piercing and after waiting almost 1 hour (it was busy, I understand), I was pierced by a female whose name I dont know because she never even introduced herself. She did not go over the piercing with me or the aftercare, nor did she let me pick my own jewelry. She simply made one mark and then another when I asked for it, then when doing the piercing she pierced the wrong mark that I did not want. When I said something about it she denied it even though you could clearly still see the mark that I did want was still non-pierced. She rushed me in and out like cattle and then after all of this she complained to her coworker about not getting a tip right in front of me. I work in the customer service industry and if theres one way to ensure not to get a tip, its to treat your customers like she did. Will never come back, do not recommend.

WISH I COULD GIVE A 0 STAR. PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS I ATTACHED. I would NOT recommend going here, my boyfriend and I went to LA for a few days and decided to get tattoos, we went the first time and got tattooed by Eric, who was friendly and helped us out, did a decent job with the tattoos so we decided to go back the next day and get another small tattoo. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. Eric was busy so we got Viktor, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. My boyfriends tattoo got infected 2 days later, my tattoo was missing spots and dug so deep into my skin that it is still red as i’m writing this and this is 2 weeks later. I had to take my boyfriend to the ER bc he was in so much pain. When we contacted the shop and told them, they tried to make it seem as if it was our fault and claimed we didn’t know how to take care of the tattoos. If that was the case, both tattoos would’ve gotten infected but only the one Viktor did got infected. My boyfriend and I have over 10 tattoos and we have NEVER gotten this terrible experience before nor have we dealt with tattoo infections. Viktor is also very unprofessional, he sent me over 15 text messages trying to make it seem as if it wasn’t his fault and blamed me and my boyfriend. He was so unapologetic. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Now I have to pay even more money to get a cover up done because the tattoo that I got is so faded and dug into my skin, it looks horrific.

Some years ago I got my industrial piercing by THE BEST piercer named April. When I had to get it removed I was devastated but she was able to do the piercing in the same spot quickly & gently with no bleeding ! Proud to say for EVERY piercing I get I will recommend this place, with the BEST piercer named April :) she’s one of a kind!

Me & my friend wanted matching tattoos & showed the “artist” what he wanted and he quoted $200 because the lines were “thick” . He pointed to another tattoo I have and said he could do it that thick. I got my tattoo done and it literally felt like he was carving into my skin. Ok it’s a tattoo it hurts whatever but it wasn’t thick at all. It literally is a thin line. Days later it started to scab and now idk what it is. I only been gone for a week and this is the worst souvenir I’ve ever gotten. I should have got a keychain.

I wanted to fix the color of my tattoo and the tattoo is set really deep into my skin. Its 4 years since I did it now and I remember I never got a name on my tattooer, but hes in the pictures here at Google. He mustve been high or something. Rude costumer service, seems like its more important to chat with coworkers and friends, rather than helping costumers.

I just went in last night. Had a couple people with me and we were looking to get small tattoos with little work involved. When we got there the guy was just eating his food at the desk with headphones on.. once we approached him he seemed very unhappy with the fact we were there and that we were bothering him the conversation went very awkwardly with him not showing any interest in the work we were offering for him. He continued to eat while we where there the whole time. Prices were high for these small jobs. Overall terrible experience. We left and went to studio City which was great. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I got my ears pierced and the artist did a great job they were very kind and helpful when it came to picking out a earring and made the whole process seamless. 10/10, would definitely recommend.

Went here to get a tattoo as a souvenir of my California vacation. I was told I had to pay $60 before I even told them what I wanted and tipped another $20 bones for what turned out to be my worst tattoos to date. I got two simple snake eyes dice on both my pinkies. After they healed, the lines were horrible and blotted. Its been 2 weeks and most of the ink has disappeared. Dont get me wrong, my tattoo artist was a cool cat, but I am heavily dissatisfied with the results and I finally have tattoos that I fully regret having and paid for. Thank God my personal tattoo artist fixed them for me for free cause he said he was embarrassed that another tattoo artist would let me walk out the door with them.

Tatto artist was so patient, she did exact same tattoo what we asked for.One thing i didn’t like, her co-worker (may be owner/manager) was pushing her to complete tattoo quickly for some reason. She interrupted 3-4 times. Oct 2019

Were in LA on a scool trip and took som tattoes there. Great place. Took two tattoos there, and great prices. The first lady had a bit difficoulties with the language. But it was all fine. The other man was very nice. I had a lot of pain where he tattoed, and he was patient and asked all the time if we should have a break and if I was okay. Very nice people. They sell weed there and the stuff you use for it. So for me, that was not so nice. Some of the artists were high, but actually did a good job anyway haha. But I would be a little more carefull next time. I come from Norway and its not allowed to use weed or other drugs. So I was a little bit stressed because of that and that it smelled weed from our clothes and stuff when we got back to our hotel. Luckily there is a kind of washing-clothes-store not far away. But anyway, very nice artists and they are very good at their jobs.

Kool spot. They accept walk ins for piercings. Not sure what the name of the guy that attended me was. But he was super nice and friendly. He kept checking on us sins there was a wait time.

I love the way the tattoo looked the day of, but now it’s peeling & basically looks like it’s coming off & it’s very dull... most likely going to need to trace over it AGAIN & this spot is way to pricey, they’ll overcharge you if you just accept the price they say. & Who takes cash before doing a tattoo? Red flag 🚩

Love that they are open until 3am. But very expensive. However, the artist was willing to work with price so that was cool. But it was 1am so that might not be the case during busy times. They also require half payment in cash which is annoying. ATM fee is like $5 in shop too.

Rafa showed up 2 hours after meeting time and totally ruined my wife’s tattoo.A 2 y/o kid could draw better..For your safety, run away from this unprofessionnal person who pretend to be pro and do not hesitate to charge you as hell for a drawing.

The tattoo artist was being really inappropriate to my bestfriend he kept touching her and etc. Didnt even finish the tattoo because my bestfriend was uncomfortable! NOT OKAY just because youre a tattoo artist doesnt give you the right to touch people in areas other than the spot of where the tattoo is!

I visited on an absolute whim while on holiday. Tattoo artists were patient and professional. Only downside was the price was quite high for a small tat but given the location of the studio, I wasnt too shocked.

I just walked in at 10pm in August 2009- told the artist Rey Mendoza my idea....I tried to explain him what was in my mind (im from switzerland and my english is not so well) we made a appointement for the next day - I came the other day and the drawing was just excellent 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊 some colore changes only small changes. Then he started and after 3.5 hrs I went out HAPPY 😊👍🏻😊I still love it and would always come back😀👍🏻🌺🇨🇭Claudia

I had just gotten to LA and couldnt sleep and so I was just casually walking down the street and saw this place. Went inside and showed the guy a picture off my phone and got my tattoo done. All the staff was amazing.

Im so glad we found this place. The girl who did my piercing was great. She was very friendly and professional. I will be going back for sure

Excellent shop. They did a great job fixing my Medusa after the original shop that did the piercing put in way too short of a post.

Absolutely disgusting the amount of antisemitic, racist, and lgbtphobic merchandise they have here. i absolutely do /not/ recommend coming here unless you want to have a churning stomach.

I got my nose pierced here and the guy pierced it with a 16 gauge needle and put the nose ring stud which was a 20 gauge. They guy didnt know what he was doing.
