Mantle Tattoo

Usually, when Im gonna get a tattoo, I plan and have ideas of what Im gonna get. This time, I didnt have much in mind. Luckily, Jun helped me around advising what would be good. I ended up making a decision within the hour. The tattoo turned out well. Was more than I intended to spend, but it was a very well-done tattoo. Also I ended up making my mind on getting done the bottom part of my tattoo, and Jun agreed to it. I was very indecisive.

Was tattooed by Sebastian today and could not have had a better experience. Was so nervous about the pain and placement, and he was incredibly understanding and reassuring. The tattoo itself was everything I asked for and more- exceeded my expectations!! Thank you Sebastian! Will definitely be coming back for the next one.

Was absolute dream session. My daughter and I was in town and got matching tattoos. Easy and relaxed experience. Detailed work. Irina was respectful and understanding about taking breaks. Will go to again when in town.

Had a fantastic experience with Jun, the manager. He was a pleasure to work with and did a very good job at communicating with us. His skill level is very high, as I barely felt any pain or had any issues during the process. I would go back to him again in a heartbeat.

This was my first tattoo while visiting LA!!I’ve been considering to get one since my early 20’s but hesitated due to my hypertrophic scars. Artist Jun has helped me through the process from explaining how such sensitive people like myself can still get a tattoo to carefully applying needles on my sensitive skin.He is a very passionate artist who cares about each client’s wants and needs in the design!I definitely recommend getting a tattoo at Mantle Tattoo especially with Jun. He is a person to go to and would definitely re-visit for my next tattoo!

This place was amazing. Their artistic abilities are top tier. They were very clean and organized. Although the artists didnt know much English, that did not stop them from trying their best to give us the best customer satisfaction they can offer! They were extremely nice, and went above and beyond to help make our tattoo designs look nicer and communicate with us using a positive attitude. They even used a translator to make sure we understood completely. My tattoo ended up coming out amazing for just $103.

I have been thinking of getting a tattoo for some time. While on vacation In Los Angeles I finally decided to make the move and finally get it! We decided last minute on Friday to make the move and get them. Mantle Tattoo was able to take me and my friend in. When we first got there I do admit I was a bit concerned because Jun does not speak fluent English so I was worried that something might get miscommunicated. When it was my friends turn to get her tattoo though he was very patient making sure that the design she had sent ahead was the right one! We went to the back area and saw how clean and organized the setup was and he got right to work. When It was my turn to go up I realized the design I had originally had been looking at was not something I wanted. So I asked Jun if he could help me come up with a new design that would better suit me. He was able to whip something up in no time at all. Then it was time for placing and I did not like the first placement so I then asked Jun to switch it around. He was more than willing and patient when dealing with such an indecisive client as myself. Finally, it was time to do the tattoo. Jun was steady with his work and made sure to ask me how I was doing throughout the process. It only took him 15 minutes to actually do my tattoo and I am very happy with the results. If you are able to see past a language barrier then you are in for a great time and an awesome tattoo. Thank you so much JUN! I will be sure to visit again if Im in LA!

Made an appointment with with Ona. She was the best!! Extremely helpful and listened to my wants and needs. My last experience in getting a tattoo was 38 years ago. She made me feel at ease. Highly recommend Mantel.

Mantle is amazing! I went in for my first tattoo the other day and was super nervous because I couldnt find much on the tattoo artist they gave me online that looked like the type of style I wanted, but it all worked out perfectly. The second I walked through the door I was put at ease by the natural light and nice music as well as the obvious cleanliness of the place. My tattoo artist, Tae, went back and forth with me over a design to make sure I truly loved it. And I did! He was so gentle and I couldnt have asked for a smoother, more comfortable first tattoo experience. Thank you Mantle!

Jun was incredible! He took four of us day-of for matching tattoos and they came out better than we imagined! Jun and his translator were a great team who were patient with all of us and didn’t mind tweaking the design a bit to fit each of your own desires. He was fast and meticulous with the designs and tattooing. His fine line work is perfect! All four of us couldn’t be happier. The price was more than fair and the experience was great! I recently had a tattoo done at Mantel Tattoo with Irina, and I couldnt be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, Irina was incredibly helpful and attentive. She quickly put together some initial designs and, even though I didnt approve of her first examples, she was patient and worked closely with me to create the exact number design I wanted.Irinas line work was impeccable, and she shaded the tattoo lightly just as I requested. She was meticulous in making sure I was satisfied with the font, printing out different sizes and styles until we found the perfect one. The entire process took about two hours, and Irinas professionalism and skill made it a pleasant experience.I highly recommend Irina at Mantel Tattoo for anyone looking to get high-quality and personalized tattoo work done.

Had a very good experience getting tattooed at Mantle Tattoo ! My boyfriend and I walked in the shop, and although we hadn’t made an appointment or reached them out, they instantly and efficiently welcomed us and got into what we wanted to do. We shared our designs and got tattooed (one tattoo each) in no time, which is a delight when you’re visiting the city. Would definitely recommend this spot !

They dont have parking but there is a lot on the same block. Super easy to find. Place was clean. Was welcomed by Irina and she was the artist that was going to do my tatto. She was able to bring my idea to life and came out better then I could have ever imagined. Shes super sweet super patient and I was out of there in 3 hrs. I cant thank her enough, it came out so beautiful 🥲💖💖💖

Friend and I both got 2 tattoos today by Jun, and we couldnt be happier. His skill and professionalism is very apparent. Even the more painful areas of our tattoos were a breeze to go through. Cant wait to get more here in the future.

Sebastian did my tat and I LOVE it. Exceeded all expectations. I went in with a very loose idea and he came up with this killer design. The facility was great as well and the staff were so nice. Sebastian gets an A+ from me!

Great experience with Mantle all the way through! I found an image online that I wanted so can only attest to Jun’s skill using existing artwork. He worked quick but the results were precise and beautiful. I paid what I expected and felt was reasonable. Jun doesn’t speak much English but he is friendly with a cool vibe. He uses a translator device when needed. No problems with communication. I will be back for the next one!

Had an appointment scheduled and everything went pretty seamlessly. Jun was very patient in adjusting the design to my specifications and I really appreciated it. It wasnt a rushed process which I appreciated. There was a bit of a language barrier, but overall great experience. The tattoo turned out great and I will definitely return when Im back in town!

Did a same-day appointment with Um Tae for me and my friend. We had a very special design and it came out flawless. One of the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. Very clean, and I appreciated the quick response and honesty when I was texting them to see if the shop could squeeze us in.

Phenomenal experience. Got a memorial tattoo for my daighter based on an Animal Crossing character. The work is easily the best of all my ~10 tattoos. The blending and shading of the color is top notch, and the color pops- Tae is a true artist. I will be back next time I am in LA.

Great shop with great service. I had been wanting to get a memorial tattoo for my dog that I recently had to put down. After doing some research, I decided to reach out to Mantle for an inquiry. They got me into the shop the same day. Lee Do did a fantastic job. He helped me finalize the end design with only some basic parameters set by me. The design process was very much a collaborative effort which was exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t be happier with how my tattoo turned out. It’s exactly what I wanted for a piece that is a very meaningful to me. However, be prepared to pay for all this awesomeness. The work was not cheap. That being said, bargain tattoos are probably best to avoid

Tae was very helpful and patient during the design process of my tattoo. Once the design was printed out, the tattooing process took approximately 30 minutes. He did an excellent job on a fine line tattoo involving scripting. The place is also very clen and the personnel is very friendly. Thank you for the excellent service.

My fiancée and I were in LA for vacation and decided on a whim to see if we could make an appointment to get some work done. We filled out the questionnaire and within 20 minutes had appointments set up. Our artist, Lee, was genuinely the best artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only is he beyond talented, but he was also incredibly kind and made sure to ask for my input and opinions on different details of my piece. I have never had an artist go above and beyond to make my experience so personalized and comfortable.

I have gotten tattoos around the globe, this was a top ten for me. The shop was very quick in responses and scheduling, and was also nice and helpful for the walkins that came in during my appointment. I scheduled from the email on their site, and was able to communicate concept and budget with ease. Their pricing is not bad (some people do not understand tattoo pricing based off rude comments some customers made) but the below tattoo cover up was $300. There is a minor language barrier so if they seem unsure they are not challenging your concept, they more want to make sure they are doing exactly what you want. They are located in downtown LA, close to parking garages and food. Clean inside. Irina moved very fast and was not heavy handed. Good with the small details too.

The artists at Mantle do amazing work! I was able to get a same day appointment with Ona. We sat down and discussed what I wanted and got to work immediately. She does amazing work and is so fast!! The space is nice and clean and is in DTLA. Parking isn’t a concern as there are plenty of public parking garages around!

Tae did an amazing job! From accepting me as a walk in to making sure I was happy with the tattoo and placement! He was very detail oriented and made extra sure to clean in up and touch up little details! Extremely happy with the work!

Overpriced. I really struggled with if I should write a review or not, but in the end I dont want someone to be caught off guard and put in the position we were.My husband and I both went in to get a matching piece of art. The cost for him was $400+ and mine was $350+. The price was not shared until he was just about to get work done. Had prices been shared up front then that would be on us, but we felt like we had no option as that point. After this experience I shopped the tattoo around LA, and feel that we were overcharged by like double. Ive since communicated with someone at the shop and they explained their policy. They price per piece, which I can respect. It still should have been shared up front. In the end well look at the art and recognize that Ona did good work, but will never disassociate the price and experience.

What a amazing shop! We were in town for a short time only and went in for a birthday hoping to get 4 matching tattoos which they were so gracious to accommodate. The artist and his assistant were so kind and accommodating. Very patient and detail oriented. They took the time to make each design match each of us perfectly with individual sessions for drawing and sizing to ensure we were happy with the artwork. Jun is such a talented artist and I will definitely be returning for a larger piece from him. Incredible line work. The shop was very nice & clean and a great location. High recommend!!

The experience was very good and quite easy from start to finish.I made a request for information via their site and they responded within 12 hours with a few additional clarifications. They reached out via email and text and I got to choose how to communicate. I chose text and they answered my questions and got an appointment booked for me. Note: you do have to make a deposit in order to get the appointment, and the only option is through Venmo- it seemed a little scary to do that, but it did go towards the final cost of the tattoo.My tattoo artist LeeDo, who was a visiting artist, was kind, took his time, helped guide me on crucial placement and size decisions, and was very patient as I made up my mind.The actual tattoo was very small and simple so he did it rather quickly. He was meticulous none-the-less and I love the result.The place is really clean, they use new needles and unwrap them in front of you, and they wrap all the tools in plastic wrap each time.If I ever wanted another tattoo, I would visit Mantel again.

Professional from start to finish. Very quick to respond. I booked everything online. Submitted my photos and deposit online. Super easy. Based on your tattoo they will pair you with the artist.Jaehon was my artist. He did such a great job. My tattoo was a larger piece with a lot of detail. I was there for about seven hours.He was very organized. I didn’t wait at all. As soon as I walked in he was ready to get to work.The process was so easy. I just moved back to LA and was looking for a new spot to get my tattoos. 100% will be back and 100% recommend. You’re not going to get anything but a great tattoo from this shop.Would also recommend using one of the flat rate parking lots. Street parking is tight. There is a $10 flat rate lot near shop. Take cash for the parking.One final Shout Out to Jaehon!!! Thank you for such amazing work!!!!

I got an appointment with Jun, and I will absolutely be returning to him for future work. He was very kind, and gave me exactly the look I was going for. The service was fast and clean, the linework came out incredibly crisp, and their details for aftercare have been working great.I would recommend this place a thousand times over!

Great experience with Mantle Tattoo. Contacted them before I arrived from the UK, only stayed for a few days but they offered me multiple appointments on my desired date. The artist was kind, listened to my ideas and requests and my tattoo turned out just how I imagined (or even better). ;) Thank you so much!

Great staff and wonderful service, I got my tattoo done by Jun he worked with me to get a perfect tattoo that I wanted and made sure I was okay during the whole experience because it was my first tattoo the design and art was made perfect to the design I wanted and I was given a great price after a 5 and 1/2 hour session. I will be going back to Mantle for the rest of my sleeve!

My girlfriend and I chose this tattoo shop because it had good reviews and was close to our hotel. Not sure why such good reviews. It was the strangest tattoo experience Ive ever had. And for reference, I have two sleeves and chest pieces, so Im not a stranger to tattoo shops. First we werent able to to speak with anyone on the phone when we called, we had to text them. When we got there, there was no art anywhere. No flashes, no binders with artists work. It looked like a doctors office or chiropractors office. The shop assistant could barely speak English and understand what we were saying. We had a stencil of a what we wanted, well under palm sized. We also had a photo of a poster with the color scheme we wanted. The stencil we brought in was quarter sized. Once we talked to the artist, she drew it up on her ipad, probably just copied it from the photos we emailed to them, and then said it would be $550 dollars. We asked if this was for both tattoos. No. FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. FOR ONE TATTOO. Smaller than a palm. Ive been tattooed all over this country. I have never, ever, been quoted something so high for so small. Ive had full chest pieces done for that price. Needless to say, we left. And went less than a mile away and got the exact same tattoo for $150, by artists in a shop that actually looks like a tattoo shop. Weirdest tattoo interaction I have ever had, most ridiculous pricing I have ever seen.Edit to owners response :I did not have a problem understanding the artist, and I am happy she has found a safe place away from the Russian invasion. However, I was not talking about her when it came to the language barrier. The shop assistant seemed to have more of a problem understanding us. As for the time and pricing - I understand that it could take an hour or two or more. That still does not justify the pricing given. Yes, the pricing was given up front, that does not take away from the ridiculousness of the amount wanted. I know artists that are world renowned and travel to different countries like Mexico and Japan to tattoo, who book out years in advance, and still would not charge that much. The artists that did our pieces less than a mile away from you were shocked when I told them how much you guys wanted to charge. They literally laughed and shook their heads. And yes, I did give them a review as well.

Ona handled my tattoo as well as my partners.She was patient, provided feedback and super clean!Ona is super friendly and I would highly recommend her.Next time Im in L.A, Ill definitely be back!

Irina Martinova was great. She was very thorough in planning the location of the tattoo and the shape. She is a perfectionist and will make sure that your tattoo looks just right. Would highly recommend for any detailed dot work.

This place was wonderful. I went in for a cover up and originally wanted a scorpion. but the placement was all wrong so i decided on a snake with flowers. it looked so much better than my previous idea and was expertly done by Jun. There were no imperfections on the tattoo. Thanks! They were also able to get my sister a last second tattoo which I appreciated.

Late June/early July I was notified that I won a tattoo giveaway at Mantle tattoo. Only after I set the appointment and gave them my idea for the tattoo I wanted they told me that I actually had only won the runner up prize which was just a discounted tattoo. I was still semi okay with this and decided to go along with it anyway, they had me send pictures of what I wanted and where the placement was going to go, they had me describe in detail styler/look, colors, the whole nine yards. I had expressed that I really couldn’t spend more than $500. I was told this wasn’t an issue and that the artist would work with me. Upon arriving to the appointment the artist had no clue what tattoo I wanted and had to re-explain and go through the entire process which took up a lot of the appointment time. (I have a bunch of tattoos and have never experienced this unless it’s a walk in) nothing against the artist but they did not speak English so there was a massive language barrier which made it very hard to communicate. We got the tattoo figure out and got it started. It took 3 hours to do my tattoo. It would have taken far less time but the artist took a 5 min break every 10 to 20 min. Then after getting done the artist came and gave me a bill for $2000….. I told him there’s no way and that I only brought the amount that I had discussed with them when I set the appointment. He then said he would take $1300…. Again we went round and round.. I told him about the tattoo giveaway.. about the original set up of the appointment and how I said I could not afford more than $500 and he told me that’s ridiculous and no one would tattoo for that cheap…… I have numerous tattoos some of them by famous artists and have had 8 hour long sessions and have NEVER been charged $2000 for a piece… especially not one that only took 3 hours. Needless to say. I was totally scammed. The giveaway wasn’t real as the artist had no idea about the giveaway… my wife got a text the day after my tattoo was done stating that she had won the runner up prize tattoo giveaway…. Haha yeah, tell me how we both won the same exact prize almost two months apart on the same giveaway. Total scam. I will never go here. I will never tell anyone to go here

Booking online was very easy, and very accommodating to my schedule. Very clean establishment, professional. Quiet atmosphere, everyone’s cognizant of others’ privacy. Jun: did a fantastic job putting my idea to life, and making sure it was exactly to my liking and gave feedback when necessary. The water coloring and lines look amazing. He was also very in-tune of when to take breaks and when it was becoming a little too much for me comfortability wise. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for my next tattoo here! Pricing I also thought was fair for the size, complexity and coloring I got.

Even though it’s a little pricey, this place is worth it!! I got a fine line tattoo by Tae and was a little nervous because I couldn’t find any posts of his artwork but he is so nice and the tattoo was basically painless! Very clean environment with friendly staff!

Omg! I love my tattoo that Ona did for me. The colors are so beautiful! Very clean and sanitary. As a nurse I watch out for clean places. What I love the most, Ona kept changing her gloves after she opened a drawer and stuff.

Ona is a true master of her craft. She explained every step and walked me through the design process and what would look good based on my anatomy and the tattoo I was covering up. I love my tattoo and definitely will be coming back for another one later on.

Made a last minute appointment and everything was amazing! Leedo was fantastic. I came in with a reference that I wanted tweaked with some creative input, which he did so quickly! He was awesome - such attention to detail and even enhanced with some additional details that really made the piece pop. It was a fantastic experience that I wasnt even expecting with such a last minute plan.

I came in today to get my first tattoo by Jun and he absolutely killed it! He is truly a talented artist as this expertise comes with nothing but craftsmanship and passion. Very fast and precise with the lines of my design, extremely satisfied how it came out. I highly recommend Jun for those popping in!

This is a brokerage of independent contractors. I got a very poor one who charged me the max estimated and did a very poor job of following the design I supplied already printed out at the correct scale, so that the name is illegible, with letters half gone and the symmetrical design irregular and incomplete in areas. Ive been getting inked for 35 years and this was by far the worst job Ive had. There must be better artists that are contracted here, I think I just got a novice with little experience, but still charged as if she were a pro

Iryna did an amazing job. The detail is incredible. Have had the new tattoo for about a week and so many people have said how talented the artist is. And yes, I wanted the rocketship to be “upside down”. It’s for me so I wanted to see it right side up from my perspective. Thank you Iryna!

Mantis Tattoo isn’t your ordinary tattoo parkour whatsoever, it’s like walking into a doctors office, so clean and sterile, no pictures of tattoo ideas on the walls, no loud music happening, it’s very clean, quiet and comfortable.My artist was very good at what she loves doing creating art and that’s what she did one me. My tattoo artist was Ona and what an artist she is! I wanted another tattoo in honor of my son who had passed 2 years ago, he loved dragonflies and that’s what I got. Ona, helped me pick out one, and where it would be on my arm. She did a great job, it looks absolutely beautiful and so lifelike! I would definitely come back for another tattoo!

Visiting LA for business. Appointment was easy to set up via email. Arrived and was buzzed in. The design session was quick and we talked through what I wanted and she gave good feedback on my questions. We decided on a design and size and then moved to putting ink on skin. She was very professional and skilled and the tattoo turned out great—exactly what I asked for. Would recommend.

Tae got me in the next morning probably would’ve been able to the same day and was super nice and accommodating. I was visiting from out of town so I had to get something done quick and he was able to get it done. Awesome vibe awesome work thanks buddy.

Totally open to working with me even though I only had one day in California that I would be able to get tattooed. Super responsive as well. I received a text message not even two minutes after requesting an appointment. There are plenty of options to describe exactly your circumstances evolving around getting in there and just the best customer service Ive ever gotten from a tattoo. Talk about a stress-free process. I was visiting LA and decided to get my first tattoo. My appointment request was responded to inside of 10 minutes, in less than an hour I had an appointment on the books for the next day. I got my first tattoo here today and I am so happy with it. Korean artist, Don Kim and his team did such an excellent job. I will be getting my second tattoo next year when he comes back in 2024.

I requested a tattoo as memorial piece for my wife and daughter who have both passed away. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined. My artist was Jun and I would highly recommend his work.

This place is killer! Came in for a same-day 7 pm with Jun and he sat with me to discuss my concept for a piece. He was honest and said he wanted to reconfigure the design to make it fit the location on my body and personality of his art. In such a short period of time he came back with something so much better than what I had in mind and immediately got to work. He powered through our session until 12 am after doing 4 other session before me. I couldn’t be happier with this piece. Jun is a rockstar and Mantle is the place to go. Get in there!

My boyfriend and I got matching Roman numerals with our initial. Mine came out good darker his when it healed came out way too light. It was barely noticeable he had to touch it up back home we didn’t want to go all the way back for a small touch up. It should’ve been done good the first time since it was 200 bucks for something 3 inches big

They lied and said they could do a tattoo design we wanted but when we showed up they said they needed to change the design so we decided against going and they kept my deposit. Not good business in my opinion. If you say you are going to do something and then say no and take our money that sounds like false advertising. Not good business practice.

Amazing response time. I’ve been getting tattoos on 11/11 for three years now and I really wanted to do Plato’s allegory of the cave. I sent them a rough line drawing of what I want it to be and I said I want it in a greek realism way. Jaehon who is visiting from Korea worked on my tattoo and the design turned out much more than I wanted it to be. I’ve never been so satisfied. Love it. After I saw their work on instagram I thought this is a good place. Jun was our artist, he is very focus on the detail, placement and care. This shop is very clean and has an open space for everyone’s comfort. Truth be told I don’t enjoy going downtown much, but I would make this commute anytime, just to get a tattoo. This was my first tattoo. I did a bunch of research and ultimately chose this place because the work they had posted online looked great and the reviews were great. My brother and I wanted a specific tat together to commemorate a life event. Jun was polite and efficient, nailing the stencil design and sizing off one sketch, then diligently doing a design with a lot of fill (all black) identically on my brother and me on about an hour. Got my first tattoo here. The artist that worked on my tattoo, Woo Kim, was very patient and understanding (I had him re-sketch the design I wanted several times). He guided me through the process, was very professional, and made the experience a fantastic one. The staff is very friendly too, they make you feel welcomed upon arrival. Would highly recommend this location to others, you wont be disappointed.I returned here a few months later for a touch up on my tattoo (its free within a year) because I made a few errors during the healing process. Mr. Woo Kim was kind enough to see me even though I showed up like 40 minutes early. I ended up tipping him even though he never asked for one or was expecting one from me. Had the great fortune of catching a phenomenal visiting artist by the name of Moondal. Despite the language barrier, he was incredibly patient in making sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. It didn’t take much work to get there though; his work is top-notch and speaks for itself. He showed me what he had prepared and we got to it with some adjustments. He was diligent and had laser focus throughout the entire process with only short breaks for my arm. I felt taken care of throughout the entire process and it’s pretty clear he takes his craft seriously. The end result is nothing short of extraordinary and far exceeded my expectations. I have been getting a lot of compliments on the piece. The studio had good atmosphere and was incredibly accommodating overall. Bonus, it’s next to Mike’s Deli if you get hungry mid-session. Thank you again Moondal, Anthony Amai, and Biny who made the experience a pleasure. Definitely check this studio out for your next piece.

I was only in LA two days, I contacted them two days prior and my appointment was scheduled with 20 mins. Jun drew up my tattoo and I was finished in an hour with an amazing tattoo. The vibe of the shop is nice and all artists do amazing work! I will definitely come back for another tattoo when Im visiting again.

I had a tattoo done here last Monday and it’s awesome. I love it! My only criticism is that it would be difficult to discuss aftercare due to the language barrier so would be helpful to be given an aftercare sheet on leaving. Just a suggestion but this in no way takes away the professionalism and ability of my tattooist. I’ll be back next year for my next one 😊

My son and I went to mantle tattoo on a last minute reservation made the day before, and mantle did not disappoint. The customer service was remarkable, many changes with the appointment occurred and we were both able to get in at the same time. They responded quickly and were very straightforward. The shop was one of the cleanest I’ve been to and their guest artists from Korea are true prodigy’s. I got an old tattoo covered and my son was able to sit down and draw up a whole design in an hour with @rop_tattoo(instagram). Both came out beautifully(photo provided). One of the best exoeriences ive ever had! Was my first tattoo and simply incredible !

The tattoos are great! The service is great! HOWEVER - overpriced… I received a quote for two small tattoos (leg roman numerals and back of arm) at $150-200 together total. and went to the shop and got four small tattoos. None of which were detailed. The work took two hours. They charged me $700. $350 an hour seems a bit wild to me for such small work. The manager refunded me $150 which I appreciate, but still overpriced and under communicated, even with the refund.. they also have a $150 minimum and given that they told me the back of arm tattoo (which took about 10 minutes to complete) was quoted at $150 after the fact, you will have NO problem reaching a minimum even with the smallest tattoo. (side note, some great artists will do all day sessions for $700-800.. so just choose wisely)

Communication was very timely as I was only in LA for one more day. My tattoo artist Song was very sweet and even after finishing my tattoo based on the reference photo I provided, he offered suggestions to make the piece even better. And Im so glad he did. It turned out amazing and I am so happy with it.

Great experience! Nice clean shop! Professional Artists! Cool Vibe! I was lucky enough to get a Tattoo by the Guest Artist all the way from Korea! He was sooooo sweet and did such an amazing job! I will definitely be coming back to this shop for future work! Ohhh and the price was very reasonable!

Highly recommend this business. Was one of the most pleasant tattoo experiences I’ve had. Moodal although Korean, communicated with me with translator and made every effort to ensure communication was clear and we both felt comfortable. Throughout the 7 hour session, he continually stepped back to review piece and made adjustments. You can tell he enjoys his work and puts care into it. He also was very gentle on the lines, some tattooist overdue it causing unnecessary pain for the client…pauses and breaks were perfect.

Really cool people and my tattoo came out fantastic! Would come here again if I visit LA again. Absolutely would recommend

I got tattooed by Jae here at Mantle, and everything went amazing. I reached out on Wednesday and got an appointment for Friday the same week.The shop was clean, the music was good, and the artists were super professional.I would highly recommend Mantle to anyone looking to get a tattoo in DTLA.

My husband and I had the best experience with our tattoo artist here. We collectively agreed that he was the most attentive, strategic, and best tattoo artist we have ever encountered. On Instagram, his name is @Rops_Tattoo. The shop itself was safe and clean but we were blown away by the care and attention and amazing line work by our artist.

Excellent communication and great space. The shop’s location is super easy to find and plenty of public lots around. The shop is very clean and sleek and their artists are great!

I never post any reviews, but today I will . It was a little pricy but the work was exceptional. Hyeyeon , she’s awesome !!! Her hand is light and the pain was literally minimal to no pain . I’m returning back soon to get more tattoos with her !
