My Tattoo Artist was so professional very thoughtful and empathetic cha-cha has the best amount of pressure I barely felt the tattoo. She’s was very intentional and delightful to collaborate with. Please more a session here asap you won’t regret it.

I was in LA visiting family and I needed a quick touch up on an older tattoo. I called Surrender pretty much at the last minute and Benjamin the manager was able to schedule an appointment for me within two days. My tattoo is fine-line so it required a skilled tattooist. Elise worked on my detailed hummingbird and it now looks better than new. Elise showed me her portfolio and she does amazing surreal, kinda illustrative mixes of thick outer and fine inner lines. Overall Surrender is the place for an exceptional tattoo and experience.

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a tattoo shop. From the moment you walk in, the comfortability and the conversation was amazing. Chatting with Chris (one of the owners), Ben (the manager) and Elise (the artist) just made the experience so much better!

My girlfriend and I were able to walk in and get quality tattoos done quickly and easily. Valerii was very kind and skilled, Benjamin was helpful and professional, and the entire shop made us feel comfortable welcome. Would recommend and revisit!

Benjamin was so helpful and friendly! My sisters and I weren’t expecting to get some work done but we ended up being glad we did due to the awesome job they did and the service they provided. Hana Kaki is the best up-and-coming illustrative tattoo artist in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to spend two full days with her and the Iron and Ink crew; I could not ask for a better experience. Hana is kind, humorous, caring, and incredibly talented. Anyone would be lucky to have work done by her. The shop is comfortable and well-designed. The shop manager, Vicki, is warm and always looks to make every client comfortable. She also makes a mean vegan hot chocolate, which I highly recommend. Every artist at the shop is talented beyond belief, but more importantly, they are passionate and deeply care for everyone who comes through the door. 100% will be back soon for more work, if for no other reason than to hang out with the incredible group that makes this studio one of the best in LA.

This is was my first tattoo experience. Tattoodo helped pair me with Lawrence at Iron and Ink. Tattoodo staff was friendly, informative, and pleasant to work with. Iron and Ink is a very clean, professional, and welcoming tattoo shop. The staff was friendly and attentive. I really liked working with Lawrence. He is a warm kind soul and very enthusiastic about his work. I came to Lawrence to get a memorial tattoo for my daughter who was stillborn January 10th of 2021 at 31 weeks. Her name was Rowan Iris Drake. I knew that I wanted imagery of Rowan tree (aka tree of life, aka mountain ash) leaves and berries as well as an iris flower. I like black work, black and grey, and fine line styles the most so combined with his floral design experience Lawrence was an excellent match. He did not disappoint! I now have a really cool tattoo on my inner forearm that I am very happy with. Beautiful line work and shading. I highly recommend Lawrence and Iron and Ink!

Lawrence did absolutely no prep before our appointment and was insistent on pushing his ideas onto my tattoo concept. He was very stubborn in listening to what I wanted and instead insisted on doing what he wanted on my body. When further describing my concept he kept refusing, saying “I don’t do bad tattoos.” After cancelling, i was told I could not receive my deposit back, and Lawrence refused to provide me the sketch he had made during our session. So I essentially paid him $400 to draw a leaf, and I didn’t even get to keep it. I won’t be returning and I don’t recommend him as an artist if you have a specific design in mind, because he refuses to listen or compromise. If you want his original work, then he is a great pick.

I got my Friday the 13th flash tattoo with them this past week and I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Everyone was so friendly and I only waited about 35 minutes before I was able to get my tattoo. My artist was named Artemis and he was super cool!

So happy with the tattoo i got. Viktoria was super helpful in guiding me to an artist. Ended up getting this tattoo from Carlos. His line work and color has made this tattoo my new favorite tattoo.

They need a better face for business I was going to spend more money here but front desk chick was annoyed I came in 15 min before closing for a consultation. I was just trying to make an appointment. Go elsewhere bad vibes

Me and my Boyfriend went in today to get tattoos. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the skill of the artists. We got tattooed by Hana Kaki, and we LOVED the finished tattoos! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if youre in the market for a high quality tattoo.

I feel like making a fraudulent charge claim to my cc company1. They made a mistake scheduling my in person consultation. They told me 9am then 11am. I settled for a video consultation at 10am which was the same day as my tat appointment2. Lawrance showed up 20-30 mins late for my appointment.3. When Lawrence finished setting things up I was told that I didnt checking in so I couldnt get started yet. They kept having issues sending me the contract to check in so it took an additional 20 minutes. Mind you I was in the lobby for over an hour prior to being told I didnt check in. I even greeted the person in the front and told them the time of my appointment and artist.4. Lawrance either didnt do the sketch we spoke about during my consultation or he lied about forgetting his tablet and only outlined the simplest tattoo I send as inspiration YET proceeded to charge me $800 to which he said someone told him would be the prize of my tattoo when initially I was told that it would be $600-$7005. I got the stencil place crooked on the center of my back and Lawrance tried to play it off as if thats just the way it is because of the curve of a back you would think that after the extended wait and lack of preparation AND him saying if anything is wrong to let him know and hell fix it that he wouldve at least tried to make me happy and say no problem instead of trying to make me feel like an idiot.I was content after the tattoo was over thinking it was nice but the longer I looked at it the angrier I got because its as good as someone that just finished their apprenticeship if that....If it were to have been $500 I wouldve maybe understood considering its not small but its also not a very large tattoo. He took less than 2 hours to complete the tattoo it was a ripoff. The line work is so thin that it doesnt even look like its going to hold up for more than 5 years if that.2 stars only cuz Ive seen worse and at least he offered weed (which I dont smoke) water and/or coffee

Customer Service: I worked with Victoria through Tattoodo to go over what I had planned and she was so helpful and nice! Quick to reply and clear direction and suggestions. Easy to set up an appointment and do my deposit through the Tattoodo app. After the appointment, they email you next steps for tattoo aftercare.Artist: At my appointment, I had Lim as my artist. Amazing dude and amazing service! He had three different sizes for each design before I even sat down. He made sure I was happy with size and placement and other details before placing the stencil anywhere. One of my tattoos had really small design details and Lim made sure it was exactly as requested, even though color and line work are difficult.Place: Great place, definitely recommend! Clean and spacious. There were a couple of people in with appointments at the same time, but didn’t feel cramped or rushed at all

I had the incredibly wonderful experience of being tattooed by Lawrence this morning. Upon arrival, the receptionist was super kind, attentive, and courteous. Lawrence took his time designing my piece and had a degree of hospitality and humor that made the normally nerve-wracking experience of getting tattooed easy and enjoyable. The final product was pure perfection and exceeded any expectations!Once the tattoo was complete, the receptionist snapped a few shots of my piece which were texted to me later in the day -- this was a first for me and I thought it was a really cool touch to wrap up the experience!My overall experience at Iron & Ink was truly stellar and I cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this studio and with our tattoo artist, Carlos. Victoria reached out to me through Tattodo and was very helpful, and booking was smooth. Carlos was able to easily capture our concepts and we were extremely pleased with his designs. He made us feel comfortable and at ease during the whole process. We came in from out of town and weren’t sure what to expect, and Iron and Ink exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend going to this studio!

My artist was Raa and let me tell you it was horrible. Not only did he agree to a tattoo concept I had that he knew he couldn’t deliver on. But he was also fired or something happened then there was a lot of misunderstandings because of the unprofessionalism of the manager and Raa both trying to schedule an appointment with me. I was also given different amounts to pay it seemed very disorganized here. And I’m still left with an unfinished piece because both the artist and shop couldn’t finish it.I wouldn’t recommend this place because they have no problem charging 1500 or 1400 but when it came to the work it’s not worth that much for how little they actually did.

I got my first tattoo at Iron & Ink and it was such a good and memorable experience. Carlos made sure I was comfortable and visited with me throughout to take my mind off, and we worked together to come up with a design I liked. I also corresponded extensively with Iron & Ink via text as I was visiting LA for only a week and they were gracious and helpful. And then my tattoo - I love it. Its detailed and I already have received complements. Would absolutely recommend this studio.

Lawrence was amazing! Great custom art, always made sure I was comfortable (4 hr session) and explained the healing process in more detail than other artists have given me before.

I had been thinking about getting my first tattoo for a long time but it was intimidating to find the right place with so many options available that would be able to do what I wanted. I started searching on Yelp and following artists on Instagram and came across Iron & Ink. Iron & Ink made it so easy. Their request form was so simple to fill out and they responded almost right away. I was able to easily set up an appointment via text or email and booked it for the following week. The deposit was easy via Venmo as well. I was super nervous and excited on the day but when I showed up I was completely put at ease. The place was super sleek and clean. Everyone was wearing masks. I filled out the paperwork and didnt wait long. My tattoo artist, Carlos, was amazing! So friendly and comforting about my first tattoo. He made sure I was pleased with the placement and that I was in a calm mindset. He just told me, I would be fine and that he had a light touch. He was right! I felt barely anything during my inner bicep tattoo and we had chill conversation. Most importantly, he took such special care with my tattoo which was my nickname and birthday written in my dads handwriting who passed away 4 years ago. He made sure it was accurate, authentic, and would last. Carlos walked me through all the post-care I needed to know and assured me I could reach out with further questions. I paid and tipped at the front desk and was also given free balm for my tattoo. I could not have asked for a better tattoo experience. I hope they enjoyed having me there too because I know Ill be back again for my next tattoo. Big Thanks to Carlos and Iron & Ink.

My brother and I got matching sibling tattoos last week and this was by far one of the best tat experiences Ive had so far. This shop is truly a unique and different experience compared to every other shop Ive been to. Its got a really cool clean, modern feel inside and they were even playing classic jazz and Frank Sinatra while we were getting our tatts done. You cant go wrong with that. Most importantly though, the artists there are chill, attentive and very careful to detail. Our artists, Jose and Rah, were awesome and fantastic artists. I peeked their insta pages and they have some extremely impressive work. I plan on getting a few more tattoos and will definitely be going to Jose again. Overall, this was an A+ experience and I definitely plan on going back the next time Im in LA.

I got tattooed by Fernando, and I just have to say, I’m very pleased with my tattoo! He’s incredibly talented, he’s gentle so it hardly hurt too. He was accommodating and made sure that I liked and was okay with everything such as placement, shading, and if anything needed corrections. Overall a great experience !

I got connected with the shop after they saw my tattoo idea on the Tattoodo app, and said they could connect me with one of their artists who would be a good fit. I ended up booking a consultation with one artist for November, but liked the current Guest artists work so much, I booked an earlier appointment with her(patiineta.tattoos in Instagram). I showed up to the shop; everyone was wearing a mask, they had hand sanitizer and general good covid-era practices. I arrived earlier and waited a bit, and the woman at the front desk gave me updates while the artist finished the stencil.The entire place was very clean and professional; I sat for about 5 hours on the chair, and watched I think 2 people come in and get tattoos directly across from me. Both times, the artist un-saranwrapped their entire station, wiped everything down, re Sara wrapper and used fresh chair covers, which was expected, but good to see. Everyone was friendly, the other artists would come over to check out the work and always offered good positive reinforcement for the guest artist, which was nice to see.When the tattoo was done, they used a Derm Shield on me, which I have not had before, and gave me instructions. They also gave me a free bottle of moisturizer, only asking that I write an honest review, which this is. Im very happy that I went, and Ill be going back in a month to be tattooed by another artist there!

Victoria was very attended to everyone in the shop and helped understand how to and when to start applying the healing ointment. Jay was a dope and patient artist when it came to give me my first tattoo! Gave me breaks within the session! Definitely will go back to get more!

This shop was by far my favorite one that I’ve ever gone to. It’s beautiful and clean inside with the friendliest people. My friend and I went in there as walk ins and they were immediately so nice. Our artists were Mugs and Carlos and their line work is SO clean and smooth. Truly worth it. They’re so friendly and respectful, we felt so comfortable with them. This shop just opened and I’m sure they’re gonna be busy all the time with this talent

I had my tattoo done by Maria who specializes in detailed fine line tattoos. She get inspiration from her knowledge of anatomy and passion for the Neo Gothic style. Im truly obsessed with my piece of art (one of her OG designs). Everyone at Iron&Ink is so talented and each have their own forte in specialities with ink so you really cant go wrong here.I dont understand why they would have salons or gyms open over tattoo shops because this place is sparkling CLEAN compared to other businesses that are deemed safe to be open (eyeroll). SUPPORT your local artists!!!

Cannot speak to the work itself but the difficulty in coordinating between the tattoo artist and receptionist warrants one star. Overall communication was poor and designs that were promised by Carlos in advance of the appointment were not delivered.

Mugsey is unprofessional. He books so many appointments that he clearly can’t do & lies to customers about deadlines. promising designs that won’t be ready and ignoring customers when they ask for what they’re paying for. So inconsiderate. Uses his mental health to make others feel bad.
