Exposed Temptations Tattoo

Exposed Temptations has become my go to place for tattoos and piercings. I started seeing Rooster for tattoos back in 2019, and he has been my go-to artist since. I go to him with an idea, and he creates a masterpiece that I am so proud to have on my body. He has done several memorial/tribute tattoos for me, that have come out even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and have very quickly become my favorite pieces. His precision, line work, and attention to detail are second to none and I am so thankful to have such a talented artist in my life who has created pieces that literally give me a sense of peace and fill me with love every time I look at them.

Highly recommend Ronnie! First time getting tatted and have nothing but positive remarks about this place. Their guy that does piercings too, he’s very good, he goes through everything with you and makes you feel at ease with the whole process.

Got a tattoo done today by Greg. He was extremely nice and helpful to me, took his time to make sure I was happy with everything and to make sure everything looked perfect. He was very patient and I appreciated the fact that he went the extra mile making sure the stencil looked perfect on my arm before starting, even having it redone multiple times because of the way my arm bent. He had a great attitude and was wonderful to talk to and be around. Next tattoo I definitely want done by him again! Can’t recommend him enough.

I went here today after hearing great things about them on a community page. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Pricing is also more than reasonable. I had two piercings done while here and would come back for any future piercings and have already recommended them to others.

The woman working at the front was wonderful. But unfortunately the piercer was not very friendly at all, seeming rude at times, and now that my piercings have healed I can see one seems misplaced slightly. Another piercer I know confirmed the piercing is not quite symmetrical to the other one. I dont recommend coming here for piercings. Funnily enough, when I got a new piercing elsewhere today and said I had a bad experience somewhere, THEY GUESSED this particular piercer. Clearly the reputation speaks for itself. Find somewhere else. But I cant speak for their tattoo work.

Very clean and neat place. As soon as I walked in with my daughter, we were greeted, and everything i had a question for was explained. They were a bit busy but we were only there for an hour which was not bad! Price was good for the service, and the guy who did my daughters piercing was so nice, experienced, and fast. Even though he was fast, he followed protocol, and my daughter did not feel ant pain. 10/10

Love this place. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. Went with my daughter to get matching piercings, and it was a great experience. Im a punk, but I put on a brave face in front of my daughter because shes a vet, lol. They even have her advice on how to better care for her piercings that she got at another shop. When she recently lost the post to her piercing, they replaced it free of charge. 10/10 service!!

I love Samara!! She has tattooed me 3 times now and we are already planning my next one. She free handed a tattoo to cover up an old stick and poke. She is so talented! I will forever be a loyal client to her!!

I did a lot of research when it came to getting my first tattoos and a number of things went into my decision i.e., cleanliness, quality of work etc. and Im so glad it all led me here! I got my first tattoos done here back in February and it was a 10/10 experience. Coming in on a Saturday when they took walk-ins was perfect for me as I was looking to get a few small pieces done and the process couldnt have been easier. First off, loved the overall vibe of the shop + it felt extremely clean and sterile which was great. Samara was super nice and took her time with me to make sure I liked the placements, as well took the time to explain the cons of getting a tattoo done in red ink. She did offer a touch up on it after a few months though which I really appreciated because, like she previously warned me might happen, it healed a bit splotchy with minor ink fall out after the first go around. It was a painless process overall, including healing, and Im so happy with how everything turned out. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Exposed is incredible! Recently, my daughter had a bad experience with an unlicensed tattoo artist that left her scarred. We turned to Exposed, where Gregory introduced us to Jose. Not only did Jose fix her tattoo beautifully, but he also enhanced it beyond our expectations. Now, shes eagerly looking forward to her next tattoo appointment in two weeks. The work at Exposed is truly amazing, and their commitment to being licensed, sanitary, and clean is reassuring.

Take the bad reviews seriously unless you want regret. If you want a piercing done right and someone who actually knows and cares what they are doing, STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Piercings are the worst here. Rude vibe from everyone. Deuce the piercer - rudest of them all. Worst piercer. He is super entitled. Has lots of ego. And for what? A messed up piercing you didn’t do correctly. You have to pay before piercings? Unheard of. Pierced me incorrectly and with wrong jewelry for my body - didn’t even care if the jewelry worked for my anatomy. They just want your money - they don’t care about ruining your body. Had to go somewhere else to fix. DO NOT get pierced here.

Ask for Glue!! He is the most creative, talented, and personable artist I’ve ever had. I came to him with multiple very underdeveloped ideas and he came up with the coolest designs, way cooler than anything I could’ve come up with. I’ve spent about 40 hours collectively in a chair with him at this point as my artist, and it is always the best experience ever had. Great artist, but even cooler dude to talk about life with. 10/10, wish I could give him personally a 10 star review. Great aftercare as well and my tattoos always heal super good. Glue rocks!!

I got a nose piercing and ear piercings on the same day and I’m in love with them. I’ve been getting so many compliments I will be going back for any other piercings in the future!

I got my very first tattoo today. I had a wonderful experience at Exposed Temptations. The people are very nice and helpful. My artist was Luke Washington. He is very talented and helpful. He drawer up my tattoo and made it perfect for me. Luke blocked out his whole day to tattoo my sister, mom, dad and I. We are very pleased with the turnout! I will definitely be telling family and friends about my experience here.

I had a great experience with Ower. He did an amazing job recreating my mom’s handwriting! The establishment smelled and looked clean. I especially loved that they had the AC on blast. Would definitely recommend!

If your little one is looking to get their ears pierced, I highly recommend stopping by to see Lauren! My niece had gotten hers done for her 13th birthday, so my little one decided she was ready too. We reached out ahead of time and Lauren responded with some great tips to put the girls at ease ahead of time. I took my 6 year old and met up with her best friend and Lauren was so sweet and able to put both of them at ease in person too! I wasn’t sure if my old holes were still open and went in to have them redone at the same time and Lauren actually was able to push through my old piercing without any issues or pain. It was a huge success and I highly recommend considering Lauren at Exposed Temptations for your piercing needs ❤️

Thank you Luke so much for doing my touch-up/cover-up! You added so much with the mountains, trees, and ink splatters! You were also thoughtful with the brush swipe I had on one side, and added another on the other side of the owl~I adore this tattoo so so much 😁💕 Ill definitely be coming back one day and Ill recommend you to everyone I know! 🤩

Brought my daughter for installing a nose pin that she wanted to replace for her existig one. It was like a small frstival going on as they were gearing up for their 30th anniversary. They were very cordial and did the job quickly. Highly recommended.

I cant sing enough POSITIVE praises for our tattoo experience with Rooster. My kiddo received her first one last night and he exceeded our expectations. Not only was his design and attention to detail spot on but Rooster was able to put my nervous teenager at ease by explaining everything he was going to do. My kiddo and l are already planning our next trip to see him!! If youre looking to get your first or add to your other tattoos, I HIGHLY recommend Rooster. I promise you wont be disappointed.Side note: The business might not look like much on the outside but dont let that fool you. It is beautiful and clean inside.

Deuce did my nose piercing and he was so funny, and did an amazing job i was so nervous at first but he was great and explained the healing process after. Definitely would get a piercing done by him again and the placement was perfect.

Absolutely loved this place!! This was my 1st tattoo experience ever, and everyone at exposed temptations was amazing. The whole process from paperwork to ink on skin was quick, easy and always very professional. Samara was a badsss artist to work with and I will for sure be going back to her for more in the future! After hearing good reviews about their tattoo artists, my partner and I chose to go with them for a couple of simple tattoos. The artist was very heavy handed, and they both bled significantly more than expected. After the recommended 5 days of wearing the bandage, I noticed some bluring around the edges and hoped it would resolve in time. The photo is the tattoo currently, a few days shy of 1 month healed. My parner and I have 13 tattoos between the two of us prior to our visit, and are well versed in the aftercare regimen, so this is an unfortunate case of blowout. My partners matching tattoo has also blown out, leaving us extremely disappointed given the price paid and the reputation this shop has. Won’t be returning to them for tattoos.

I ended up emailing Greg Piper to get the process started. I think he emailed back almost immediately. We set up the first consultation to meet and go over ideas. I was excited.Met with Greg and he was awesome. He was almost more excited about the process than I was. His shop is clean. It is a place you want to have your tattoo done. He did have a wait list- but his finished product was worth the wait.Every week before my appointment I got a call reminder about the upcoming appointment. That was awesome. The woman at the front desk (Michelle) was an absolute pleasure to deal with and more than willing to answer any questions.The finished product is amazing and I get compliments on it daily. Would definitely use this place again and have recommended it hundreds of times since.

I got upper lobe piercings done by Lauren. She was very knowledgeable and professional. I asked her for her advice about a problem with a different piercing, and her advice completely solved the problem I had. I definitely would come back to this studio

Had an amazing tattoo done there about a year ago by Glue (@my boy glue on insta iirc). Came back recently for nipple piercings. The piercer did an amazing job making sure I was comfortable. She asked permission before touching at all, was super reassuring, and was just so sweet. This place is the definition of professionalism and talent and it is what all tattoo shops should aspire to be.

Brought my 9yr old to get her ears pierced. The shop is clean and well staffed, and Ian the piercer was great at explaining the process, putting my little girl at ease and of course the piercing itself. Her ears have healed well, the after care advice was great!

Highly recommend this shop. My wife needed her nose ring removed in an emergency as she was getting an MRI in the morning. We contacted them last minute, and they were gracious enough to help us right at closing time. Very clean shop. The artist there was amizingly skilled and gentle.

I received a tattoo and a piercing here. Unhappy with both.Tattoo was rushed and crooked. I tried to link up with the artist to get it fixed, and he said he would at no charge, then no longer replied to my emails.The type of piercing I received from has a standard practice of using a clamp. The piercer did not use a clamp and free-handed it. It seemed fine, but upon further inspection, it was slanted and shallow on one end of the piercing. When I went to change my jewelry, I also realized he used an externally threaded instead of the recommended internally threaded.

My husband and I got tattoos very meaningful to us. Luke did such a great job. We are so pleased. I will definitely be going back to him soon. Thank Luke we are eternally grateful.

First off I want to say that this shop is so clean and everyone is incredibly nice. Everyone’s station is decorated to how they like it. They have many different artists. I got my tattoo done by Samara and she did an amazing job. The line work and color is perfect! It was quick and painless. A great experience. 100% going back to her again! If you are looking for a great tattoo I definitely recommend going to this shop! They also do piercings and sell jewelry.

Great staff over at this place. Really professional and friendly. Theyll work with whatever you want, suggest stuff, and get down to work. I walked in hoping to get a lions head, the artist took that and came up with something I absolutely loved. Clean studios, spot free equipment. And it wasnt even as expensive as I was expecting it to be. You leave with everything you need to know on how to take care of your new tattoo, and theyve got all the gels and creams you need to keep your tattoo looking new. Walk-ins are welcomed, but I recommend getting an appointment if your work is going to be extensive. I walked in, realized my work would take 2~3 hours, ended up getting an appointment for next week. Showed up early, got started early. Theyll stencil out their design to absolutely make sure you love it, work on any changes, show you exactly how it would look like at the spot you want it on, and start drawing. I highly recommend this place. Thinking of getting another tattoo soon, cant wait to go back.

The piercer named Deuce was awesome. My vertical bridge was fresh in this pic, so excuse the blood, but he knows what hes doing and makes a painful process seamless. Also, you can discuss with him what you want, and he offers plenty of ways to get what you want done—highly recommended.

I’ve always had an amazing experience with temptations!!!! went back today after moving back to the area a little while ago, and they are still the best place i’ve ever been to! i regret not asking who pierced me today, but i do know the piercer i had today was the most patient, intuitive, kindest person i’ve ever been with, between tattoos and piercings. wish i could’ve asked her name. even with re-piercing & the scar tissue, my piercings today were as painless as they could get. prior-hand i’ve had Deus, who pierced me, and while reading these comments i want to reiterate, this man is amazing at what he does. i remember when first going in 2016, i’ve never felt so comfortable. i’m more comfortable with straightforward, factual, humorous and just raw people, even though i am shy and awkward + passive myself, the exact opposite. i’ve never had a problem with the piercings here along with the people. even today since 2016, last here 2019, it’s still the same amazing service. relatively painless, they literally verbalize what you may feel and each step, and so on. even whilst in Richmond, i waited till i visited family to come to this place. cleanest, realest, best piercing place ever. and to who did my piercings last night, THANK YOU!!! you were such a sweetheart and i know i can be an awkward, socially anxious person, so thank you for being patient with my weird small talk lol. i appreciate this business, even if some of yall “don’t like” the “attitudes” described by some comments, they are not rude and if you feel like they may be, please know what’s most important, this is one of the cleanest, finest, most ethical piercing places out there!!! i’m very prone to keloids and have had horrible experiences with other places, between bleeding and infections, this place guarantees your safety, your well-being, low risk of infection, this is where you need to go if you want a safe and nice healing process/experience!!

The girl at the front seems nice but horrible tho concept for how they sell piercings! It shouldn’t be that you have to wait for one person to buy a piercing. I Already have a piercing in my nose I just needed to buy another stud for work and the girl said I had to wait because there’s three people already waiting for the piercer. I don’t understand why no one else in this shop can sell a piercing. Ridiculous and honestly not cost effective

If you’re looking for a precise expert in piercing DEUCE is the guy, if you’re looking to get coddled maybe check out a therapist of sorts, anyway I’ve gotten several of his piercings over the years (longest is my dermal going on 5yrs) and he’s spot on EVERY time his experience is evident in his work where other piercers refuse to do certain things due to inability or lack of experience he EXCELS! I recommend every friend of mine to him.

I was here over the weekend to get my lip pierced by Ian. He was fantastic, put my mind at ease and definitely cared a lot about the quality of service, the placement of the piercing and most importantly the sanitation of the area and equipment. He was friendly and informative and the shop as a whole seemed very nice, clean and safe.Yes, I waited a while since I didnt set an appointment first but I expected that on a weekend.I would absolutely go back for more piercings and maybe even for a tattoo as well after seeing some of the artists work there!

I visited here a couple days ago and it was definitely a visit to be remembered. I chose this place because it was close to my house and the reviews were good. I really appreciate them for taking walk-ins as a lot of shops do not accommodate that. The shop itself is pretty nice and clean and the ladies in the front were super sweet and thorough. The piercer, he seemed to be super experienced and thorough as he explained the risks and aftercare during the process. However, he pierced through the skin with just the needle (no clamp) and stuck the needle through super fast and abruptly. I really cant tell if this was the best piercing ive ever got or the worst (because it hurt so bad from the shock of the actual piercing part ) but it was quick and easy & everything else was great.

We took our 6 YO daughter here for ear piercing today. Ian was awesome! He explained everything to her and made it special for her. Incredibly clean and top knotch service. I will recommend this shop and Ian to everyone. Make an appointment because he is really busy and for good reason.

This is the first review i’ve ever left anywhere because of how frustrating this situation is. I came here to get help with removing an old earring and putting a new one in. The piercer was so aggressive with the way he took my 6+ month old healed piercing out, that it opened back up and started bleeding. When I say he was rough, he was ROUGH. And it hurt A LOTTT. Mind you, this piercing was COMPLETELY healed prior otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten new jewelry finally put in.Now I’m dealing with a bleeding piercing and there’s also a bump that I never would get before. At the end of this way too painful experience, he offered no cleaning solution unless I paid for an entire new bottle?? He was also passive aggressive with the way he spoke. I 100% regret coming here and I would not come back here again. And he’s still wearing skinny jeans in 2023??? grow up

I got a double stacked piercing here three weeks ago. I requested for nickel free earrings as I have a nickel allergy. Last night my top piercing was embedded into my skin due to the piercer using the wrong size post for my ear and not giving it enough space for any swelling during the healing process. I was in so much pain and my ear was on fire. I called them to ask if I could come in and have it changed since it was the piercer’s fault for free, and they said it’s not possible. Customer service is 0/10. How are you going to make a mistake and not take accountability. Then I called my other piercer and he was more than happy to take me in and get it fixed up. When the piercer took them off, he said it was not nickel free nor was it the right size. How can you dismiss your client’s allergy and use any earrings?? I specifically stated I’m allergic. I was planning on getting more piercings with you but you just lost a customer. I don’t recommend. I recommend going to CraigPokesU. They are great and professional.

Im fairly certain my impromptu decision to get a belly piercing was a midlife crisis moment and thanks to Exposed Tattoo, Im so glad I did!!!😍 Intially, I was really nervous but Deuce and Jennifer gave me the best and most professional consultation. I was able to take my time, and Jennifer answered all of my questions! And, Deuce is a true piercing expert! I highly recommend them. Their facility is clean and they have a really nice selection of piercings to choose from made from titanium and surgical steel.

If you value your health and safety, go somewhere else.Maybe the tattoo artists here are worth all of the 5 star reviews this shop has, but the piercers here don’t follow best practices (or even good practices) when it comes to piercings.Red flags all over the place:1) they use externally-threaded jewelry (as opposed to internally-threaded jewelry)2) they’re willing to pierce directly with rings3) they don’t schedule follow-up appointments4) they use h2ocean for aftercare spray, which is controversial5) they’re willing to pierce more than the recommended 2-3 piercings at a time, which makes healing very difficultI got an industrial bar and snakebites done 2 here months ago and I had to remove everything -The industrial was done with a bar that was too small, which caused the piercing to start embedding. I got it fixed by an APP-certified piercer, who told me it wasn’t pierced at the correct angle. I tried for another month to let it settle, but was eventually advised to take the piercing out, let it heal, and try again later.The snakebites were healing fine, but when I went to a different APP piercer to downsize them, they advised me that they were very unprofessionally pierced and done at a VERY wrong angle, which was basically a guarantee for teeth damage.I was an idiot for getting my piercings done here despite knowing the problems this studio has. Don’t be like meSave yourself a world of trouble and just go to a certified APP piercer

Great atmosphere! Everyone seems to work well together. Wait wasn’t terribly long for a Saturday evening and Ian was fantastic! I’ve gotten quite a few piercings and he is quick, very knowledgeable, and a perfectionist! Highly recommend, will absolutely be back when I decide to get another piercing!

I was very nervous in getting my 1st tattoo I would like to say Samara was amazing she was very attentive to detail and explaining what to do before and the aftercare. This tattoo is very meaningful to me and special I will definitely recommend getting your tattoo from Samara she is awesome you wont be disappointed.

I worked with the owner Greg Piper. He was amazing to work with. He is back logged a year in appointments but it was worth the wait.We spoke before the first session. I have the color session coming up the end of April. He was exciting do this piece. When I arrived at the shop the entire staff were helpful and polite and very professional.Greg and I finally sat down after is apprentice prepped me. Again professional and polite. Greg and I went through the vision he and I had. Getting tattooed can be scary even if you have done it before. He made me a so comfortable. I highly recommend Exposed Temptations for your next work. If you choose to have Greg work on you, he’s worth the wait. A year is not long considering it’s there for life! I had such an amazing experience with Samara. She was dedicated to giving me every aspect of the tattoo that I wanted, listened to my questions/concerns, and gave me a beautiful custom design. I would highly recommend getting a tattoo with Samara if you are looking to get one. It was the most professional tattoo experience I’ve had with an artist.

Got my ears pierced here a week ago. It opens at 12 but the line starts outside around 11:30 or so on the weekends. Get there early unless you dont mind the wait. The wait wasnt that long. We waited about 20 minutes after getting here 10 minutes before opening. The did a good job of moving everything along. Ian pierced my ears and he was so good. Gentle and good at distracting me. The biggest pro to this whole place was how affordable it was. The piercing plus the jewelry was $65 which was half the price of the place I got my nose pierced. Ill definitely go here again if I decide to get another piercing.

I have been visiting Exposed Temptations since 2018 when we first moved to the area! Everyone on the team has always been amazing, professional, friendly, respectful, and dedicated to providing safe and quality experiences! I’m partial to Ian and have never met a more passionate and skilled piercer! He is an absolute experience that I look forward to visiting each time the itch for a piercing strikes! The shop vibes are chill and comfortable and the entire space is kept immaculately clean! They have zero tolerance for intolerance or hatred and make it a safe space for everyone! Definitely recommend this shop!

Deuce was awesome, he switched out my septum piercing yesterday, was great at explaining the process, made me feel comfortable, and was professional. I’m a hairstylist and often get asked about my piercings and will def be sending all my clients to him! 🖤

Staff is very friendly and place is always clean. All artists here are great, but my artist, Vanis, is awesome. I get complements on my tats all the time. I highly recommend Exposed to everyone.

We had a great experience here! I took my 13 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. I was nervous because I didnt really know what the atmosphere would be like for a minor, but it was really good. The outside wasnt much to look at, but the inside was clean and trendy looking. There were a few other kids/teens there (with their parents, of course), so we didnt feel out of place. There are individual tattoo and piercing rooms, and you dont walk past the tattoo rooms to get to the piercing rooms, so it seems more family friendly. The guy who did my daughters piercing (Ian) did a great job putting us both at ease and I really appreciated it that.

The shop is super clean and has a great vibe throughout. Ms. Michelle was awesome upfront from initial contact to checkout. Luke was great about bringing my vision to life short notice, providing candid feedback when asked and delivering an overall great expirience. I highly recommend him if looking for traditional and/or military pieces, especially from a Veteran artist.My daughter and I also had our noses pierced on seperate occasions in 2021, both great expirience from resident piercer.

Great place, great people and great atmosphere.I called in early to see if i could get in for a septum and they took me in right away. Signed some paperwork, and was in a room within minutes.Septum was done in about 5 mins and I was out!Highly recommend!

I should have listened to the reviews. This shop sucks. Customer service and communication are terrible. I called to see if I could bring my daughter there to get her nose pierced. I told them she was 14, and they said I needed to bring my ID. I had my wife drive 25 minutes with her to get there, and they said they would need my daughter’s school ID, birth certificate, military ID, or drivers permit to do the nose piercing; mind you, she’s 14, and with her mother that has a valid drivers license. Since we didn’t know this, my wife only brought her license. My daughter had a picture in her phone of her school ID, and that wasn’t good enough, as if they were going to scan it or something. Its a complete joke and a waste of time. The moral of the story is when you see horrible reviews, believe them !!!!

I am not happy the tattoo I am done after two months got faded And I called them let them know and they didn’t do anything about it and they just give me excuse. This is not fair they take somebody money and then they give you excuse. I never go there again I lost my money

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Had Andrew as my artist, most personable and genuine artist I’ve had. Good price for great work and even touched up some of my old stuff.

I came here with a friend. It was a pretty busy day bc we had to wait for so long. But I finally went in and the piercer was really rude. He did not seem to care about what he was doing. He just wanted me out as soon as possible to get the next person in. I immediately noticed that the piercing was crooked. He ended up piercing my septum wrong (it ended up going through a bit of cartilage) and it never healed even after 9 months. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and wait to see if it would heal but it was so extremely painful anytime it was barely touched. I ended up taking it out, letting it heal and went somewhere else. And the lady at the new shop I went to told me that the piercer at exposed temptations messed up big time after I described to her what happened, and she felt the space for my septum. She ended up piercing my septum correctly. Anyway, don’t come here. They don’t care enough to slow down and really think about what they’re doing.

Got my nose pierced by Lauren almost 2 months ago and she was just great. Made me feel comfortable and it was such a smooth process. Fast forward to this week (5/29) I accidentally pullout my nose stud and could not fix it for the life of me! Started stressing out. Reach out to Lauren for advice and still couldn’t fix it. I went in today 5/31 and Deus helped me out. Within seconds he fixed it. Overall this establishment if filled with caring and professional individuals! I’m definitely coming back!

I’ve been wanting a nostril piercing for ages. I finally decided to treat myself for my birthday and just do it! I walked in, got checked in, and got my piercing in pretty much under 10 minutes. I completely forgot my piercer’s name(sorry!) but he was SO friendly, talked the whole time which calmed my nerves and then went over piercing aftercare and the best way to contact him if I had any other questions/concerns. Amazing experience and super convenient - THIS is your sign to get that piercing you’ve been wanting!

If I could give a zero star review I would, I just went to go get my snake bite piercing and the piercer was very unprofessional this isn’t my first time getting my snake bite piercing I’ve had one in the past, He didn’t use the clamps, he didn’t ask if I liked the placement of it, he was rushing with the piercing to get to his other clients, now I have to wait until it heals to take it out to go do it somewhere else. PLEASE DON’T GET PIERCED HERE. (Update) I had to take out the piercing out, pain was like no pain I’ve felt as I mentioned I’ve got this piercing done before and I knew this pain wasn’t normal I felt the pain down to my throat started breaking out with a fever he poked the hole under my tongue and that’s where I felt severe pain the one on the top felt fine, I knew something wasn’t right. But as I mentioned I highly recommend to not go here not with the current Piercing guy they have he rushes very unprofessional and doesn’t care in general about his clients.

Walked in for a couple piercings and had a super good experience. Ian works really quickly so I didn’t have to wait very long. He also made me feel really comfortable (I was nervous as it was my first piercings since I was a kid) and he matched my ears so perfectly. Everything is super clean and the price is awesome. I went about a week ago to get my nose pierced got my nose pierced by Lauren. She made me feel comfortable and welcomed to the shop. Over all the staff is nice and chill great environment. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get a piercing or tatt. Will come here again !!

Brought my grandmother here for her first ever tattoo and some ear piercings. She had an overall great experience! Everyone was very friendly & informative. Just like some other reviews say I would give Deuce the piercer a zero. He is absolutely terrible. I got 3 piercings there and had to go somewhere else to get them repierced. He doesnt use a clamp and is sloppy at piercing. He messed my dermals up so bad I had to go somewhere else to get them taken out cause Deuce kept blowing me off. He messed my wifes piercing up too. Hes only in it for your money he could care less about customer satisfaction. I see a lot of bad reviews about the guy and now I see why!

The entire experience is top notch.From the front desk staff, to the owner, to the artist (Luke), everyone was knowledgeable and patient.The facilities are clean, the waiting room is comfortable, and the entire process feels like youre at a high-end shop.I couldnt be more pleased with my new art, Ive already got a second appointment set up, and Id definitely recommend this shop in the future.

I had to get my nose ring out. Called 20 minutes before closing. They waited and took out my nose ring. I was not even charged. Truly appreciated their efforts.

Rooster has done almost all of my tattoos over the past several years and he always does a stellar job. I give him my ideas and he comes up with the most amazing designs. I have always left the shop feeling super happy and ready to show off my beautiful new ink.

I got my industrial and second lobe piercing done on the 25th! I am still super nervous for the healing process, but the atmosphere of the parlor was super friendly and nice. This was my first time going and my piercer was Ian. He was super kind even though he had already seen over 80 people for the day!! He explained clearly what he was doing and was overall just super kind even though I was really shy. Another employee who was a female (blonde hair, in small buns) aided me in filling out the prior paper work and was super kind and patient with me as well! She also did not get annoyed with my nervous antics and was just extremely kind and friendly when the parlor was SUPER busy so I really appreciated it!I’m absolutely comfortable with the idea of going back another time when I want more piercings! I already recommended the place to a few friends and told them the Ian guy was my piercer since they were wanting to get their industrial and helix done!They don’t pressure you at all and the experience was very delightful! I feel bad that I forgot to tip, but the next time I go, I’ll be sure to tip extra to make up for my negligence! I absolutely recommend the piercer Ian for those of you who are shy and don’t know how to carry a conversation 😅 he’ll keep one going and make you feel at ease! I’ll provide an update after a few months for this review on how my industrial is healing!

First off i just wanna say, with how busy this place is you can tell they’re a good and reliable shop. Ian was my piercer and he was super funny! He made me super comfortable walked me through the steps of getting my nose piercing and just like he said the actual piercing would take literally 2 seconds, it took 2 seconds. He did it so quick and i barely felt any pain. I got a little dizzy and but that was my body’s natural reaction, and he told me to lie down and just chill for a sec and gave me a bottle of water. He’s a great conversationalist and definitely doesn’t fail to make you laugh. He answers all questions you have and makes sure you’re informed about the aftercare and all that. Overall super cool dude and a great experience thank you so much!

I highly recommend Exposed Temptations Tattoo. I have been getting a yearly tattoo here for the past four years and would never go anywhere else. They run the cleanest shop, have a great atmosphere, and provide the most professional and quality work!! The owner has done all four of my tattoos but it was on the first visit when he asked me why I wanted the tattoo that I requested, and after we discussed it, we can up with something totally different, that had much more meaning to me. It was in that moment that I knew I found the only tattoo establishment that I will ever go to.

Do not go here to get pierced my anatomy check was him asking if I had a nose they use poor quality externally threaded jewelry and my bridge piercing came out crooked because all he does to pierce it is freehand two dots no measurements or anything to make sure its straight

I arrived when they opened as a walk-in and was able to get my tattoo the same day. The young lady at the front was super friendly and helpful, and was able to handle a large volume of people right at the beginning of her day calmly and with courtesy. My artist, Glue, was positive, polite, professional and collaborative - in that I told him what I was looking for (which included a cover up of a small tattoo), and helped flesh the idea out. The process was efficient and I was completely comfortable the entire time. The new space is open, sanitary and fun to be in. 10/10, would highly recommend.Photo is taken same day, so the healing bandage is still on (why it looks a little wonky)

Ive been here before about a year ago to get a small angel wing tattooed on my left inner ankle. Aimee did it, she was quick on drawing up something original based off photos I showed her. She did a great job, shes a bit light handed but thats okay and she was quick, it was all lines and I was done within 5 minutes.A group of friends and I were walk ins and all got something done that day, they were very pleasant, shop is so clean, like you can kinda smell the cleaner. They have comfortable seating and have a bunch of portfolios out so you can view artists work while youre waiting.Today, I called to ask if their piercer was in, the phone was answered promptly and the receptionist is very nice and speaks clearly. She let me know he was there and if I was to walk in today to be there at least 30 minutes before closing and told me the price of my piercing ($80). My husband and I went in around 7 and were helped very quickly and Ian was the one who pierced me.Ian is such a great piercer, hes very professional, has a nice personality and is really good at making you feel comfortable. I got both of my nipples done and he never once made me feel uncomfortable. Some light joking, never inappropriate, and he talked me through the whole process while he was piercing. All jewelry was clean and sanitized and came out of brand new wrappers and was disposed of immediately afterward. He gave me a little pamphlet on aftercare and sent me on my way. Im very happy with my new piercings and would highly recommend him and the shop to anyone who asked me.

Got a tattoo from rooster about a week ago. was super patient while i was explaining what i wanted, helped me size it out and place it and had something playing that i could focus on while he was working. told him it was my first tattoo and was clearly nervous and he helped calm me down and show me i was silly for thinking it would be some big scary thing. everyone at the location is super cool and i highly recommend it for piercings and tattoos. thanks again!

My artist was friendly, the work was good. But I have to say I think it’s pretty shady the way they handle deposits. They will only discuss anything in person so they can have you put down a $100 “deposit”. My piece took a little less than 3 hours. I heard the artist tell the cashier after it would be $450. That’s on the very top end of what I would expect to pay for what I got honestly it’s probably a little high. So when I go to pay I let her tell me the amount because I didn’t know if they would deduct the deposit from what he said or if I would get it back on my card she tells me $450. I keep an eye on my card and I never get it back. So it was a $550 tattoo before tip and that’s ridiculous imo. I didn’t have to travel so far to get those prices because that’s what they charge here in Bowie but they are up front about it they don’t disguise it with some deposit they will never credit you for or fully explain. Just beware anyone who goes there it’s not really coming off the top it’s just a way around sticker shock

Amazing service , they were very kind about me getting my paperwork and they were very professional. I got my septum peirced by Deaus and he was very personable and explained the healing to me , he also took the time to adjust the jewelry to fit me better. 10/10 amazing work. I also went to get my tragi done but instead of accepting the higher priced peircing Ian informed me that they would have rejected because if my small tragi! He could have scammed me but he didnt and we chose a better peircing for my anatomy!I also just went back to get my Medusa peirced and Lauren was absolutely amazing! Super friendly and encouraging. They let me have a moment for a breather and they even changed my nostril jewelry out for me! They are super efficient and the vibes are immaculate! They were respectful and amazing to work with!

Got a piercing by Deuce. For a place that preaches about customers deserving a piercer who makes them feel comfortable he was not the one to do that. Very horrible customer service, everyone felt like they needed to defend themselves when no accusations were made but questions.

Bad service I went for a tattoo and they didn’t even quote me and did the tattoo and charge me double and I want to add more but they don’t seems like to help the people I’m very unsatisfying I would never recommend some to get tattoo from them

My daughter went to get a sun tattoo on the back of her neck. She had been tattooed there previously by the shop manger, who did an amazing job on her moth. He was unavailable so she had a different artist do the work, after being assured he was also a great artist. Her tattoo looks horrible my 6yr old granddaughter could of done a better job. We told the tattoo artist the work was unacceptable. He then proceeded to tell us I had to book another appointment to get it fixed and put a $50 deposit down. I paid the $50 and left. After speaking with others about the quality we did not return to the location to get if fixed, which I was never refunded the money. We ended up paying several hundred dollars for a coverup tattoo!!! Thank God we went to someone who can actually do amazing work!! Be careful who does your tattoo!!

Had a fantastic experience here. I received my first two piercings (lobe) and my wife received a nose piercing and a mid-ear cartilage piercing. She also ended up scheduling a tattoo for April. Definitely looking forward to returning.

Delightful tattoo parlor, its hard to find a high quality place to get tattoos in NOVA that doesnt have a months long waiting list so this place is a gem. Ive gotten several piercings done here and a tattoo, never had a bad experience.

I did not have any issue at this place at all. I went there 3 times for different piercings (nose, re do of tongue, and double nipple) the front desk is amazing, thats why I drove all the way there because the lady answered all my questions and she was a sweetheart. I believe the name of the guy that does the piercings is Deus, amd he is amazing. You know someone is good when your piercings dont hurt that much and the healing is amazing. He make sure he let you know how to contact him if you have any issues during the healing process. I loved the fact that I did not waist any time while waiting (15min top!) And the whole process was quick, and he double check that everything is in place! Make sure to get the spray bottles because they get it directly from the company, which you know will be a plus during the healing.

Got a belly button piercing done here after my friend got hers done. My friends belly button piercing rejected and left a huge scar.Mine was done not considering my anatomy. I had this done 5 years ago. And I still have a scar!!! Save yourself the time and energy and go find a professional piercer that’ll take the time to assess your anatomy and not leave you with huge ugly scars.

I took 4 teenage girls to get piercings (and got a couple myself). The staff were amazing, the shop was clean and comfortable, and our piercer Ian did an excellent job on all of us. Ill definitely be back!

I had a monroe piercing done a little over a week ago. I was impressed with the ease of scheduling my appointment as well with the cleanliness of the shop. They are adhereing to covid guidelines which also made me feel comfortable with using them. The piercing was quick and painless. After care was explained to me and I was in and out under 20 minutes. I definitely recommend Deus for piercings. All of the staff I encountered were very pleasant and professional. I plan to return for more piercings and to discuss tattoo work as well.

Got my belly button pierced here today and it was such a pleasant experience. Deuc was such a great piercer, i didn’t feel a thing. I was extremely nervous and the staff was really supportive. Would definitely come here again and recommend to others! Thanks guys!

Went to Exposed Temptations to get my first nose piercing last night. I was nervous to get it, but I am so glad I chose Exposed Temptations because they all made me feel comfortable and all the staff was very friendly! Ian did my nose piercing and did a septum piercing for my friend. Didnt take long at all and I am very happy with my piercing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, professional, and friendly place!

Do NOT recommend. Waited 4 hours for a simple nose piercing. Was initially told would be an hour and half wait. Fine. By a certain point you’re kind of stuck in waiting around..almost there. Not well staffed and they are not managing their business effectively. Never again!

Got a tattoo done by Luke while I was in town, and I gotta say his line work and color saturation is top notch. He was able to squeeze me into his tight schedule so I recommend avoiding just walking in. Try to get an in person consultation and put in a deposit to lock in your spot. The shop is full of talented artist with a deep respect for what they do. Staff is super professional and the shop is one of the nicest Ive ever seen. Prices are very fair for the quality of the work, but remember that good work costs good money and here its well worth it.

I had Ian as my piercer and I went to get my nostril piercing. He made sure I was comfortable and ready to go to get my peircing. He was very kind and professional and he completed the piercing process in no more than 30 seconds with little to no discomfort. I got a tattoo at a different shop down the road and it was complete garbage but glue managed to completely fix my tattoo! he was extremely nice and very helpful. i genuinely could not recommend him enough, he was absolutely amazing and he’s beyond talented :)

I went to the shop for an ear piercing, and a follow up to change an earring.I was very impressed by the professionalism of everyone there.The shop is clean and they do a great job of explaining the process. The piercing specialist is great to work with. He is very careful with placement, makes sure you know about follow up care, and keeps the piercing enjoyable with friendly banter.I also had a consult and plan to get a tattoo. The artist took time to give me advice and options to make sure I get what I want.The prices are reasonable.

I scheduled an appointment with Jose in June for 8 hours, it was a massive super detailed piece that ended up needing way more time, so it wasn’t finished in 1 sitting.Jose was booked out until at least October so I got on the schedule after leaving with half a tattoo finished. He hit me up 2 weeks later and got me in way earlier then expected not once, but 3 more times since then before my next scheduled appointment in October. I’ve now sat in the chair with him for over 30 hours and it’s been nothing but a great experience… trust the process and you won’t regret it.The cleanliness, attention to detail, and quality of work Jose does is incredible, and I would recommend him to anyone.Looking forward to the next 30 hours..

I received 2 cartilage piercings from this establishment. They are efficient and friendly. The piercer was nice and on point with his professionalism. The environment is well kept and clean. I highly recommend using this business for your piercings (and even tattoos).

I’ve been tattooed by 2 artists. G is amazing & a cool guy to talk to. I did not have the best experience from Andrew. I disliked my tattoo so much. It is big, so I can mostly not get a coverup. He told me he could do American trad & I was very disappointed in the quality. I decided to give it another try. I went to get a piercing this time & the piercer was not very welcoming. I got two piercings, Labret & snake eye tongue piercing. (Before I asked if he’s confident in doing this bc most piercers don’t recommend this piercings &I wouldn’t just mind a regular tongue piercing if that’s the case. He said he is, he did about 5 yesterday) I got home & looked at the tongue piercing closer & saw it was pierced UNDER my tongue vs on top. I called & emailed the shop. Only for the piercer to say “their is no right or wrong to it. Just how things are shaped” why not let me know before that it will look different on me than rush through both piercings.

I got a piercing here in January and was very happy with my piercer. He was knowledgeable and helped me stay calm through the whole process. He talked me through everything he did which was great. I came back recently to get my first tattoo and wasnt happy at all. My tattoo artist never introduced himself. I even told him it was my first tattoo and he didnt talk to me about the process or walk me through what he was doing. When he was done he just motioned for us to leave and when I asked how to take care of it all he said was use unscented lotion. My friend who came with me has had multiple tattoos done at other places and was very shocked at how nonchalant he was to us. He seemed like he couldnt wait to be done and was not personal at all. The receptionist at the front desk was more helpful than him and actually gave me the tattoo care paper when I asked her how to take care of it. Wont be coming back here for another tattoo and wont be recommending it to others.

Seems like most of the poor reviews are about the front desk, but when I was there a young blonde girl was working and she sweet and I had no complaints about the process of checking-in. I came to Exposed to get my septum repierced after a bad experience at another tattoo shop. My old piercing was crooked and infected and made me question if it was worth getting it done again.I’m very happy I did! If you’re looking to get your septum done anywhere, Ian is an awesome person to go to! I’ve had my new septum in for a couple months now and everything from the initial piercing to the healing process was a breeze. My septum healed with no issues and he was even able to put in a smaller ring as I requested! He knew I was nervous about getting it repierced but he helped me stay calm and even gave me snacks. Really really enjoyed this place and I am still loving the work I got done here!

I came and got two piercings one was a hoop and one was a stud they heal perfectly! The place was nice and clean as well. My only problem was I had asked for a blue nose piercing and they gave me silver! I called the store she said I could come in at any time but when I did they told me it was too late and that I would have to come out of pocket for some thing they shouldve done. they also said they didnt have any of my paperwork anymore and of course paid cash there is no proof now! The manager was rude and said I kept repeating myself when i was just trying to understand what I did wrong after that the REAL manager gave me my piercers email and said I can try to email him...... definitely unprofessional and do not recommend coming here ever again!

About a month ago I decided to get my first Tattoo, I was extremely nervous and honestly didnt know what to expect, Justin Bush was the one the came and gave me a consultation and scheduled me for the next day. He was extremely professional and made me feel confident, Justin is for sure an amazing tattoo artist my Tattoo came out awesome and had a lot of compliments. I have been coming to exposed temptations for almost 3 years. I drive over an hour just to go there. Everyone is super friendly.My husband got both of his tattoos done by Josh. He is extremely happy with the results.In the last three years I have gotten six tattoos, all done by Rooster. He is fabulous and extremely professional. He goes out of his way to make me comfortable. Rooster helps me make informed decisions about my tattoos, without being pushy. He is mindful of my budget, by have various sizes of the potentially tattoo, ready for me to look at.Every tattoo has come out even better then I could have imagined! If youre looking for a fabulous artist, whos super down-to-earth Rooster is your guy!

Ian did my septum last night. I’m extremely happy with the experience overall. It was easy to make a same day appt on the phone. They confirmed the price was including jewelry and that i could tip with my card. The girls up front were very friendly when i came in to sign paperwork, even when i was 5 mins late. They made sure their lobby wasn’t too full due to covid.i was nervous at first bc i was by myself but Ian was great at making conversation to make me feel comfortable. he explained every step. all the tools and materials were clean and sterile. the piercing itself didn’t hurt at all! he gave me care instructions and let me know when he’s in the shop and best times to call in case i need help. what a great experience, i’ll be sure to come back for any other services i need!

I got 4 ear piercings done today. I scheduled an appointment the day before. I attempted to schedule by emailing, but they were extremely slow to respond, if at all. Calling was super easy and they were very kind on the phone.Upon entering for my appointment, I was promptly greeted and given hand sanitizer and all the appropriate paperwork. I waited approximately 5 minutes for my appointment (several walk ins).The piercer was kind, knew his stuff, and when I asked advice about what to get he simply said that it is my piercing so it is my decision.It was fast, and sanitary!Pain was minimal for my 3rd lobe piercings and upper ear piercings. I think it hurts more to give blood!Ill be back in the future once these heal, and Im 100% recommending this place to my friends!

Just got an eyebrow piercing from this place and it rocks! Deus was polite and very good at what he does! Great customer service! They had all the after care products there as well as a wide selection of jewelry! It was a quick process too. I was originally gonna get the piercing done at All American Tattoo however I read that “you get what you pay for” eyebrow piercings there were was 30 and at Exposed they charge 50, glad I paid the extra 20! Very professional and clean! I watched them take both the needle and the jewelry out of a sealed bag. 10/10!Edit: I added a picture to the photos of my piercing now(it’s been a little over two months after getting it). It’s going great, every once in awhile it gets crusty and I have to clean it with a wet q-tip but I was told that’s part of the healing process for piercings.

Ive had all of my piercings and tattoos done through Exposed and could not be happier with their service. The shop is incredibly clean and organized compared to other shops Ive been in. The staff is professional and courteous. Most importantly the quality of their work speaks for itself. I have always had Rob Kinzel do my tattoos and love how willing he is to work with your ideas to give you the most unique piece possible. As far as the price goes, you pay for the quality of your tattoo which is a permanent piece.

I drove out of my way TWICE to come here for one appointment, there were much closer shops! Something about this place (reviews aside) had a very at ease feeling to it. Its hip feeling, it is so CLEAN (even the reception area), and the front house staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Dëus is one of the best piercers Ive ever encountered. He is easy to talk to and goof around with, but he is serious and precise about his job. He is gentle (as one can be while stabbing you with needles) and will talk you through the whole process. I dont live in the area, but visit every few years and I will absolutely save any of my future piercing needs for Dëus to do. Hes spectacular!

We came in a little while back to get my daughter a nose piercing she’d been begging for FOREVER. She was a little nervous, but very excited. Ian took super good care of her, made her feel relaxed, made her laugh a few times and it was all around wonderful experience! He was really great at explaining the after care to her as well and she hasn’t had a single issue since. THANK YOU, Ian! Hopefully we’ll be back for something sometime soon!

My mom and I decided to get a matching tattoo at Exposed Temptations - best decision! Justin was our artist and he was amazing. We could tell he genuinely cared about the art and made sure both of us were comfortable and happy with the result. Justin was great to work with!

Had my first nose piercing yesterday by Ian. I was anxious and nervous but he made me feel calm by talking with me thru out the whole process. He is professional with a great sense of humor and made me laugh. Ian did an AWESOME job on my nose piercing. I highly recommend Exposed Temptations for all your tattoo/piercing needs. Havent been to the actual shop but I did get my industrial pierced (my first ever piercing) by them at the D.C. tattoo convention. My piercer had an impressive portfolio and the needle/jewelry used on me were unopened and sanitary. Very pleased with the results. I plan on returning soon for my septum.

I had been here before to get a nose piercing and was impressed by the artists’ professionalism and the shop’s cleanliness, so I felt comfortable going back to get my first tattoo. Although I had some keloid concerns, my tattoo artist Vannis Orr was very considerate and didn’t go too deep into my skin and talked to me in great detail about tattoos and how to properly care for them. I took off my bandage today and was shocked at how well it is healing. I got a small tattoo and it looks so neat, professional, and beautiful. I am so happy with my tattoo and will definitely be going back to Exposed Temptations for any tattoos in the future because the quality is just outstanding!!

So I came in on the walk in day which is Saturday got a quote to come back at 4pm. The artist I had was Jose he was very unprofessional. Eating chips and being rude to me as well. Blaming me because he was late tattooing me and started at almost 5:30pm. He was not taking any of my opinions into consideration and tried to charge me 400 dollars for a medium sized tattoo. Which I was fine with paying if the tattoo was what I wanted. He also told me he had another appointment after me which I understood. He was rushing what I wanted to get and it was nothing like my reference picture. I didn’t end up getting the tattoo because of the unprofessional approach. I wouldn’t recommend getting a tattoo from him your opinions wouldn’t matter.

I got my first tattoo done by Jose and it turned out beautifully! He told me what to expect afterwards, got the needle out in front of me, and sanitized the area pretty religiously. I appreciated his professionalism which helped to put me at ease. The other staff were very chill, and the parlor was nice and clean. Looking forward to going back for my next tattoo.

I have been coming to Exposed for many years. Had a few tattoos done there in my younger years but this time I took my 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced.Ian is a fantastic piercer. He made my daughter feel completely comfortable and showed her the entire process before doing the piercing. She even received a lolly pop for doing so well.I highly recommend this place to anyone. Extremely clean, professional, and take covid regulations very seriously.Ian is an excellent piercer. I wouldnt take my daughter or myself anywhere else. And Vanis is probably one of the best tattoo artists around.Definitely my go-to place.

I was peirced by Ian. He was great! Ive never had a facial piercing and he talked me through the whole process. He definitely helped me not freak out. It was very quick and painless. I would definitely recommend a friend to be pierced by him. It may be pricier but they really have great service at this place.

The past two times I have been here the staff was incredibly rude. The first time I believed it was only because of who was there that day, but I think being disrespectful is a must have trait in this establishment. During my visit I had asked for a small and easy tattoo consisting of only 1 word. The artist, Luke, was patronizing and continued to mansplain how tattoos and their prices work as if I was a little kid. The store does not tell you their minimum price of $80 until you walk in, which is contradicting considering these times. If you want a better experience with customer service and professionalism, please take your hard earned money elsewhere.

I walked in yesterday to get a 4 word tattoo. it wasn’t a huge wait and glue was my artist. he worked with me and double checked everything and made sure it was what i wanted. walking into his room, he was very personable, good conversation, and made me feel very comfortable. overall i would absolutely see him again for my next one, i cannot recommend him enough

I got my nose pierced here by Ian, and he did an AMAZING job! He talked me through the entire process, and he gave me great advice on how to take care of the piercing. All of the equipment used for my piercing were brand new, sealed, and packaged. After it was done he suggested the H2O Ocean spray, and it works great! I will definitely be going back to Ian for more piercings! I highly recommend him to everyone!

I walked in looking to get 3 tattoos scheduled and spoke to Jose. He seemed incredibly uninterested in the pieces I wanted to get done. Provided little to no insight on concepts, time frame was poor, was very monotone and unfriendly. Granted it seems like artists there have good work and I understand the work they provide can be expensive but trying to charge me over $1,000 for 5 hours for 3 medium sized non complex tattoos seems like a waste of my time and money.

I have been pierced by Deus and recently went in as a weekend walk-in with my mom for our first tattoos. As always, the shop was extremely clean, organized and friendly. We were helped immediately and Rooster was a fantastic artist to work with. He was extremely patient with both of us and took his time working on my art and concept. I appreciate the thoroughness and thought he put in late on a Sunday night! I will definitely back for all future tattoos.

I have gotten all my tats from this place so far and I love them! Love the place it is very chill and the artists are all great. Will be going there for all of my future tats and I have recommended it to some many people! They also have great hours for people to make time to come in. I love going to Andrew! He is very kind and chill and takes the time to get to know his clients and he does a great job at flowers! Totally recommend him!

REVISION: I have been to Exposed Temptations many times since originally published, all with Mr. Luke Kimbrell as my tattoo artist, and wanted to highlight his excellent work with some new pictures and edits.NOTE: Tattoo pictured is fresh, after first cleaning. It is not perfect because skin needs to heal and it needs care. It is exactly what I wanted though.So, I was a walk-in, and was able to talk to an artist (Luke Kimbrell, an amazing guy) and get an estimate on cost and appointment time (he was in the middle of a beautiful addition to another person’s tattoo). Paid 50 bucks as a deposit, made an appointment for a few hours later, and he came out to say “hey, listen, I need to finish this tattoo” and to risk a commission for the sake of his art was incredible to me. I happily waited, he brought me back sooner than expected, kept great conversation and explained every step as it is my first tattoo. Even down to how he was centering on my arm based on bone placement. It was fantastic to learn and I trust him from the straight talk and great results.For 100 bucks I got to get a tattoo the same day, with consult, tracing, education, and obviously the ink itself. I felt at home - no pressure to even leave a tip but for all his services gave Luke 30 bucks because it took something that could be anxious and unnerving and made it simple. I’ve worked with doctors who don’t have his bedside manner as it were.I should say the whole team is excellent. The office manager was helpful, honest, and pretty funny; artists were happy to share their portfolios and hung out in the lobby with their clients, even suggesting coworkers who may be a better fit. It was a great atmosphere.Highest recommendations for something that’s gonna be a permanent, especially if you that first time explanation of the process. Pain was nothing special, more like a moving mosquito bite.Anyway, thank you Luke and the entire team! I have back many times, and pictures reflect it :)

A five star review seems like such a meager thing to give in comparison to how completely thrilled I am with the tattoos I just got from Rooster, but I figure it’s the least I can do. Truly talented. The shop itself is doing a really great job welcoming and managing guests during covid-19. Friendly and clean, great atmosphere!

I recently brought my step daughter (7years old) in to have her ears pierced. Ian was very informative and helpful. He made her feel comfortable and safe. The quality of the jewelry was a big concern for me since I have had some bad reactions. Ian provided some very useful information as to what to use. We will be coming back to see Ian for all our piercing needs.

I had made an appointment for a piercing at Exposed Temptation. I show up on time for the piercing and the extremely rude lady at the desk informed me they were in the process of moving and had rescheduled all appointments. I never received a call, or any information regarding this. She started arguing with me because of their poor customer service!!! Save your time and go some place cheaper with much better customer service!!! Very happy with Buu and Tee Tattoo and Piercing!

I come to see Rooster and I absolutely love this shop. Everyone is incredible talented and kind. I love that they always make time for me and give me perfect tattoos within my budget. The only place I go to for tattoos. Really laid back place with a chill atmosphere. Worked with Rooster for the first time, he was absolutely great. I will be going back to him for my next piece. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you are thinking about a new tattoo. They do piercings too.

Awesome experience. Rooster, my artist, was very helpful in designing the cover-up I had done. It came out great! Many shops are more concerned with getting paid than forming a bond with the client. This isnt one of them. Will definitely go back!

I got my 3rd tattoo by Rooster today (I have 10 tattoos total currently) and made an appointment for my 4th. I cannot speak for the other artists at this studio as I have only ever had Rooster ink me but he is always very professional, conscientious and he makes sure he is drawing exactly what I want in the sketch. I found this studio after not being pleased with a tattoo I received at another studio. Now Ive found my go to studio and artist. Rooster takes walk ins most days and Ive found him to be reasonably priced for the awesome work he does. I recommend Rooster to all my friends for his attention to detail, professionalism and his artistic ability. He checks on me multiple times during the tattoo to make sure Im hanging in there, and his presence is very calm which I appreciate in a tattoo artist. Side note: the waiting area is really chill and feels like a cool clubhouse where tattooed people hang out and its always clean. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

I recently came here a month ago to get my nose pierced, and the piercer was rough and unprofessional. The reason for the late review, I went to another piercer/studio who was remarkably different, virtually no pain and very professional.

Ian pierced my nose today... He was SO awesome, super professional. He explained everything he was doing throughly and helped explain the healing process very well! Definitely recommend! Shop is very nice and extremely clean.

Had the opportunity to get my first tattoo the other day. Glue did an absolutely amazing job! From an idea, to the stencil, to the finish tattoo he was excellent and I would highly recommend checking out his work! I definitely will be getting more now.

Horrible experience with a rude piercer. I came in looking for a new gold nose ring to swap out with my silver one. My piercer didn’t even give me a chance to LOOK at the jewelry or ask me what size gauge I wanted. He just shoved in an 18mm hoop even though I wasn’t looking to size up. Never coming back here and would caution others to NOT come here.

Rooster tatted me with half demon/half angel wings. He was wonderful! What I did not like is the seats. I was constantly sliding down, worried I was going to fall. It was a relaxation issue. They need arm rests. But the service was outstanding.

So Ive got most of my tattoos done in California, Florida, or New York. There is a certain stigma that northern virginia cant do good tattoos. THIS PLACE BREAKS THE NORM. The facilities are super clean and nice. Every station is separate so you have just a 1 on 1 with your artist, which I love. I recommend you checking out all the portfolios of all the artists, there are some super talented artist there. I got to spend 5 hours there getting a piece done and from start to finish it was absolutely fantastic. This will be the only place I go or recommend other people to go to. Even down to the receptionist whose handling so many appointments and artists, everything was great. Check it out.

I have gotten a couple tattoos and piercings from this shop over the years. They seem to be very knowledgeable about what they are doing. If they dont feel its safe, they wont do it. I feel comfortable about getting advise on my next peice here. They have everything needed for aftercare. I recommend this to all my friends and family.

I know this review is late but I just want to make it a point to say I love this shop a lot! Ive had my dimples and a cover up piece and my moms tattoo done here and they are absolutely amazing. Great environment, clean shop, and nice people. Very professional shop, when I got my dimples done Dëus was able to get a hold of as soon as possible when I had problems with my piercings. This tattoo and piercing studio is extremely clean and also very professional. The front desk staff is always polite and helpful. The studio is spotless and strictly adheres to all the policies and procedures mandated by state and local government. I have visited the facility after covid and Exposed Temptations is extremely attentive to detail and covid regulations. There are hand sanitizing stations, social distancing enforced, and specified amounts of people in the studio at one time. I come to get my piercings done and I specifically ask for Ian Macrad. He has a lot of experience with piercings, he has a sterile and hygenic technique which is comforting. As a Registered Nurse of 20 plus years, this is very important to me. . I have been st the studio multiple times, because Ive had several piercings done and I have never been happier with the service, the quality, the cleanliness, and the knowledge that the staff has always offered. From the front desk, to the artists and piercers. I also know co workers, also nurses, that have frequented this studio for tattoo work and have always been satisfied with the service and knowledge of staff.I highly recommend the studio for your piercing and tattoo needs, you will not be disappointed.

I have gotten work done by Ower, Jose, and Vanis who are all compassionate, friendly, and good at what they do.Rooster is my guy though. He has done both of my biggest pieces (including the one on my spine) and he is without question the most gentle tattoo artist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I will utilize him always and follow him wherever.

I had an appointment set for 1:15, it did begin alittle later than expected. I saw a few customers leave unhappy which made me alittle nervous but overall the piercer was VERY friends and I felt comfortable having him do my septum and tongue piercings. Everything was clean and he was prepared. Very nice establishment will be going back in the future

I have been over four times now for my tattoos to Exposed Temptations and even dragged my USMC brother there for his. I will never trust anyone else but Vanis for my ink. Hes extremely talented, detail oriented, and attentive. Ive given him ideas for a tattoo with a flimsy explanation of design and hes crafted it perfectly within 15-20 minutes, way beyond my expectations. Everyone there makes you feel very comfortable and welcome- plus, its EXTREMELY clean!

People here were professional and welcoming. I walked in near the end of a night, was greeted right away and introduced to someone who could help me. The room I entered was very clean. I felt comfortable throughout the experience, and I was offered information about aftercare. Details: I went for my first body piercing and was helped by Deus. He was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient (things you appreciate when youre nervous). He answered me questions easily and made sure I knew I could come back if I had additional questions or concerns. If the five stars didnt say it clearly enough, I would recommend and return to this studio.

I was dumb enough to get scammed through IG & was told to meet here 🙄 not only did I look ridiculous 😅 but I was still able to get tatted! Luke (who is incredibly laid back and a good conversationalist) took me in and gave me 1 of the 2 pieces I’m getting. Scheduled with him for later this month for the other bigger piece. Went with my daughter for her 1st piercing here. Great place! Warm greeting from the front desk. Clean facility. Deus is A+ top notch! Love his sense of humor and ability to put his clients at ease.

I got 4 piercings done consecutively and it was a fine experience. Deus was kind and funny. The only thing is the area felt a little sketchy so if you’re a single female I recommend going with a friend.

Its been awhile since I went to this place. I think they have great artists or at least they did at the time I got my tattoo (they didnt work on my tattoo though )Management is terrible. The artwork they did means a lot to me (still)... It was just a quick buck for them (the two artists who work on my piece) they put little to no effort in it.... They made me feel like I should be thankful for having them working on my tattoo. It was almost a 2K piece and paid it before my last appointment.... Big mistake! They had their money....That was it.... I love my tattoo for what it means to me... Its an awful work. Terrible place.

The piercers there are top notch, only thing that I didnt like is they use externally threaded jewelry. If they used internally threaded, theyd get 5 stars. But both piercers work is absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend.

I got my snake bites done here (double lower lip) by Deuce and it was amazing. he answered all my questions no matter how stupid they seemed and kept me and my mom calm the whole way through. The whole place was very clean and the people at the front desk were beyond amazing.

Came in for a quick tattoo, was done by artofroux (rooster). The work was average but he was very short with his replies, awful bedside manner. Spent the whole time talking loudly to the artist in the next room, not once did he ask if everything is ok or try to make any small talk. The whole experience felt very transactional and no one was friendly. I even had to wait for 40 min and was not told there would be a wait time, I felt rushed because he had an appointment after.

Deus did an absolutely incredible job! I was a *very* nervous first-time piercee who was looking for a very particular type that was obscure, painful and sensitive in nature. It ended up that Deus had extensive experience with the piercing in question and was able to identify what I was asking for almost immediately despite my consistent misuse of industry terminology. He was able to answer each and every question on my (rather extensive) checklist thoroughly and professionally. Deus communicated really well and was able to get me to laugh and relax during the process, despite my newbie-nerves. The piercing came out really well and he provided a lot of really useful information on aftercare as we wrapped up. I couldnt recommend him more.The staff are also very LGBTQIA+ and leather friendly, which is a *huge* plus. The space is visually pleasing, the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and-- most importantly-- they use extensive safety/decontamination measures. If you want a piercing but are on the fence, go to these folks.

The shop: I agree with some of the other reviews that the strip mall made me a little nervous at first. However, once inside, it was very clean and well lit. There is a decent sized waiting area, with tons of artwork and tattoo examples. Each artist has his/her own private room decorated in his/her style. It almost makes the shop homey and makes it much more comfortable to get a tattoo or piercing in aThe staff: Everyone was (unexpectedly) very friendly! This was my first experience getting a tattoo, so I admit I wasnt really sure what to expect.My experience: Vanis has done an excellent job on the two 4-hour sessions weve completed so far on my scar coverup. He helped me decide the best size and placement to distract from the scar instead of drawing your attention to it (like my original idea did). I expect to return regularly to continue expanding it. On another visit to the shop, Deus also added venom bites in line with my existing tongue piercing. I look forward to getting new piercings here as well!

This is my very first tattoo. They were extremely welcoming and professional from the moment I walked in until I left. I didnt have an appointment and used their drop in service where I was matched up with Dame for my tattoo.Since this is my first experience getting a tattoo I cant say if I had to wait long or not for him to make a draft out of my picture I provided for him. However, I was very happy with how willing he was to adjust details I didnt like. He also gave me his point of view which made this tattoo really stand out and gave it its great shading instead of just making a complete black silhouette, that in turn would have made it look like a really bad coverup (which we both agreed on!)Other than the customer service experience it was a very stylish welcome area with collections of the artists work on a coffee table that I looked through while waiting for Dame to finish the draft. They also had premade drafts on the wall that you could go through if that is something you are interested in.I will definitely be back if I am still in the area when I am ready for my next tattoo! (Which since Ive got the first one down I am so onboard with getting another one already!!)

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Just got my first tatto here along with my friend, of a gingko leaf and script, by luke. We had a walk in, and was scheduled for a little later. The line work and color is absolutely amazing, I am floored. He was very gentlemanly and kind, I have a low pain tolerance and he was very nice about it; gave me a break to cool down from it. This was an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back for another tattoo! Everyone here is so friendly and a riot, so happy my friend and I came here for our first tattoos.Thank you guys so much!

I’ve been a customer here at exposed temptations for 15 years (9 tattoos) and I can confidently say that they are top notch in all areas. Some places have good customer service but little artistic talent. Other places have good artists but horrible customer service. And some places aren’t even clean enough to consider evaluating other areas. From the time you enter the building at exposed temptations, get your consult, set your appointment, and get your ink, you will experience the entire package here, as you should. I’m not one to write reviews, but they deserve 5 minutes of my time to reflect the outstanding experience they have provided me each and every time I’ve walked through their doors. Five stars.

When I first went in to meet with an artist, the artist was incredibly rude and I didnt feel comfortable being tattooed by him. But I contacted the owner and he was very apologetic and arranged for my tattoo to be done by another artist. I has very happy about this, and the owner was incredibly kind about the whole situation. But the new artist that did my tattoo made a mistake. So my tattoo has a little unwanted line coming out of the main design. But the artist is offering to fix it for free.

I have been here multiple times to get pierced and love the results! The enviornment is nice, a little snug tho when it gets busy in the waiting area. I recommend getting pierced by Ian, he only works weekends. He has pierced my forward helix and conch and is SUPER friendly and patient! The other piercer Deus, that works throughout the week is an excellent piercer as well but has a strong attitude, isnt patient, and very rude.. hes pierced my nose, cartilage, and tragus

I got my first tattoo done here when I was sixteen with my dad. The artist who did it, Josh, was very helpful and guided me through the process. He knew it was my first and did a trial line so I could feel the pain level, and talked to me while he did it. Though it was very small, he taught me exactly how to take care of it and it healed really nicely.At eighteen, I went to get a tattoo on my ribcage by Rooster. I had emailed him prior to the appointment and sent him exactly what I wanted. He told me it wouldn’t be comfortable where I was getting it, but it would be over fast. He was very professional and gave me exactly what I wanted, I even cried when I looked at it.A few days ago, I went to get my nose pierced by Deus. I wasn’t too nervous, but he still helped me calm down. He was eating lunch when I walked in, and we talked jewlery and pricing, then he went and cleaned himself up completely before he even took me back. Everything was unopened and sterile, and he talked me through it. He was very nice and very blunt about taking care of it, telling me to “keep my booger pickers out”, which made me laugh through the pain. He told me to come back in 2 weeks so he could make sure it’s healing properly.I was skeptical about Exposed at first, but all of my experiences here have been more than pleasant and I definitely plan on returning for anything else I want done!!

Ask for Rob Kinzel. I ran into a bartender a few months ago and asked her where she got her work done. She told me to go visit Rob. I met with him on a Saturday, made an appointment, and a week later I had the tattoo I wanted. Rob is outgoing and made the entire experience enjoyable. Everyone in the shop is very welcoming. I will 100% be a returning customer.

Ian pierced my 7 yr old’s ears and my tragus. He was amazing, kind, meticulous and we love our new piercings! We did a walk in and after finishing our paperwork only waited 5 min. The store is beautiful too. Thank you!
