I got shown this business by a friend and have trusted them ever since!! Great service, the decorations are cool, and they’re usually playing a movie in the waiting area which helps take my mind away from any nerves. I’ve gotten several piercings here and it’s always a very clean space, none of my piercings have ever gotten infected, and Melissa takes great care!

Went for a few piercings, the piercer Melissa was very nice. Welcomed us with a smile, the actual piercing room is sanitized and near and very clean. Nice option of jewelry. The prices for piercings are reasonable. She is professional and knowledgeable. Didn’t really feel the piercing much. The piercing rooms are upstairs, but I am not sure If there is a downstairs room to provide service if one can’t climb stairs. Going back soon for more piercings 😍. 5/5 recommend

This place is horrible they want you to beg them for services. They act like they are the ones paying for your services . I brought my mom to get a piercing done she came early . Melissa wanted her to wait until her exact schedule time . My mother‘s boyfriend asked melissa what is she standing around waiting on especially since she wasn’t doing anything . she lied and told him she was waiting on someone and had another appointment when she didn’t . Melissa was so afraid she called her husband on my mother’s boyfriend . Just to get her bf out since she was so intimidated by him . But what he was saying was actually true like it’s ridiculous you make someone wait for there exact appointment time when you’re not doing nothing.. Horrible customer service Melissa is very argumentative. She felt the need to send me text messages about me walking out of her shop because I wasn’t satisfied with what I was paying for . She was telling me it’s not cool and how she was going to charge me anyway for services I didn’t receive . I use to come every month and get multiple piercings done at one time. Melissa what you fail to realize is Im the paying customer you cant tell me what Im limited too . Or what I can and cant get . Im spending my hard earn money on whatever I please I dont do things to please you whatever Im doing is to please and benefit me . My wants my needs my happiness. Whatever i desire I shall get who do you think you are telling a grown woman whats not cool . Unprofessional behavior. I WAS NOT 20 mins late and I will not being taking this down . Yes that situation did occur did u forget you must have dementia . I wasn’t Speaking on that Pacific day only I was talking about overall in general Coming there multiple times But you obviously don’t remember. You said I can only get two I also also have the messages and I screenshot it it has well .

Melissa is a saint! Since I got older I’ve become a huge baby, she is extremely patient with me. Her dad did my tongue, and my nipples. She’s done my nipples twice, lip, septum, and I think her dad did my industrial the first time. I know one of the two did my tragus back in the day too. I love the small business vibe, how laid back her and her husband are and there’s no one else I’d rather have pierce me.

The staff is great at Moon Flower boutique! I love Melissa! She done my last 4 piercings and shes fantastic! She is always informative and patient. If you come here, you will not regret it! 😊

There have been times I’ve messaged her about stupid things, like what size jewelry she recommends, and she always gets back to me and is always just so damn nice! I have always been terrified of needles and terrified of pain and i decided to get my nose pierced. My friend recommended this place because she had a good experience getting her tongue pierced. The girl who does the piercings is amazing, it didnt hurt at all! I was surprised. My eyes watered and the clamp was probably the worst part. Then i went back a few months later and got my nipples pierced by her and had such a good experience! She was very nice and helpful through the whole process. I will never go anywhere else for future piercings!!

I got my first real piercing here (aside from my lobes when I was 16 at the mall) and Melissa was awesome. Made sure I was comfortable and had all the info I needed for after care etc for my Monroe piercing. Havent gone to anyone else since. Got my nose, septum, and helix piercing with her too and it was consistently great. Even brought my sister for the septum and helix piercings on the same day lol. Never had an issue with healing either. She explains everything step by step, and uses quality jewelry too. No reason to go anywhere else for piercings.

I normally dont leave reviews but Ive been going to here for years and Melissa is great 10/10 but I had the new girl that is there now and Ill never go back it took an hour and 15 min to get a lip piercing and then she used the wrong size bar and had to change it and then charged me extra for it. Charged me for a double lip and only pirced one

I have had my nose pierced and my septum pierced here by Melissa. She is fantastic very outgoing and knowledgeable! I hate needles yet love piercings. She listens and explains everything. I came here for my first time today as I had scheduled a nose piercing with Melissa! She was very welcoming, walked me through the process, and was extremely patient. I’m also the type of person who’s more prone to light-headedness due to nerves, but Melissa made sure I was comfortable and took all the time I needed. Overall, the experience was great! I’ll definitely be coming back for future piercings :)

Have gone here several times for piercings, most of them done by Melissa. The piercings are always incredibly professionally done and Melissa absolutely knows her stuff. Shes very quick, and with a gentle touch. I recommend them to anyone looking for piercings!

I got my nose pierced here last week by Melissa, she was amazing! You can tell she takes her job seriously and does whatever she can to make you feel comfortable. She was very helpful with my questions and talked with me during the piercing about what she was doing. I was done in 5 minutes! The guy working the register was also kind and personable. Overall, staff and atmosphere was above outstanding. Definitely will return in the future!

Brought my daughter in for ear piercings today and Melissa was fantastic. She really made her feel comfortable (for a kid with anxiety, that’s a big deal) and was very kind. All the staff we interacted with was great!

I went to this shop to get 2 cartilage piercings done, I had them pierced by the lady in the front room first, I can’t remeber her name, but both of them get very infected, one of them so badly I had to take it out 3 days after having it done. The infection was due to the lack of cleanliness that was demonstrated in first place. She had me choose my earrings out of the cardboard display, and then instead of opening a clean package of earrings, she took them right out of this display to use! Then she didn’t clean my ear before or after she pierced my ear, or the earrings, and then tightened them as much as she could, which of course didn’t allow room for any swelling. I went back to the shop the day after I took it out and they told me I had to wait a month for the infection to go down and heal before I could get it pierced again. And they did change the other earring that was left in, to one that was longer, because that one was way to tight as well, and really the wrong thing to be pierced with anyways.So I waited a month, went back to get it pierced again, not by the same lady! I had brought in this special earring that I wanted to be able to wear so she could line it up right, and the lady took measurements of it, and marked my ear and everything, and seemed to know what she was doing. So the piercing finally healed enough to change it, and of course it doesn’t fit because the piercing is crooked... and it’s not even a little bit off, it’s WAY off! I got the earring on with some help, but I had to take it out almost immediately because it hurt so bad because it was so tight, and it actually ended up compressing my ear so much it looked deformed for a while until it had time to actually breath.I’m not keen on getting the same spot pierced for a third time, so I really don’t know what to do, I am extremely disappointed to say the least, I would recommend that anyone goes anywhere else then here, it’s not worth it.

Melissa is the Best peircer Ive been to. Very knowledgeable, professional and highly sanitary. Always helpful and accommodating. Goes out of her way to explain things clearly and help guide you with your peircing needs!! Great jewelery selection as well.

I come to Melissa for all of my piercings and earring changes. Her calendar books up quick, but she takes walk-ins for jewelry changes. She is the best. She really knows what she is doing and she puts you instantly at ease. It is quick and easy. She also sells very affordable jewelry in the shop. Parking is easy. I dont think I will ever go anywhere else for my piercings I love MoonFlower.

In March I had my helix pierced. Melissa did a great job.Last week I sent a message to Moonflower in regards to an upcoming MRI. I wanted to know if they would help me remove my piercings for the screening. They responded very quickly and let me know that there were plastic retainers that I could use for the MRI. On Tuesday I went and had the retainers put in and I purchased new jewelry. In the future when I decide on another piercing I will definitely go to Moonflower.

This was my second piercing done at MoonFlower and I will absolutely return again! Melissa is fantastic, she makes you feel comfortable and at ease when getting pierced, especially if you’re feeling nervous. She is very thorough when explaining aftercare and even goes above and beyond and offers assistance via text after! If I could offer more stars, I would, 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been coming to get piercings since I was 16 years old. It started with Doug. The original owner when my dad brought me and my sisters to get our tongues pierced and he was great. Then his daughter bought it from him and Melissa is just as amazing. She has done and redone several things for me. I grew up with her little sister but she didn’t know me. She was and is professional, friendly, compassionate and VERY patient when Im being a baby. I need to add as gentle as she can be in that line of work too. I don’t go to anyone else!!

I’ve gone to Melissa for 10 out of my 11 piercings so far, and always makes it such an easy process. She has done my navel, septum, double helix, triple and single lobe, and both sides of my nose so far. She walks you through each step of what she’s doing before, and during the piercing (and for someone who always gets nervous its extraordinarily comforting). I got my nose pierced here in January and cannot recommend them enough. Melissa was professional and patient with me and helped calm my nerves after I almost passed out! I appreciate the fact that I’ve never felt rushed through so they can get to the next client. The aftercare info sheet was really helpful. I’ve been here twice - once for a nose piercing and just the other day for a daith! Melissa is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, talks you through the entire process, and makes sure you know everything about caring for your piercings. The daith is definitely a more painful piercing, but she approached it with extreme care and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.I am going here for every piercing in the future, because I love Melissa’s work so much.They also have a FABULOUS selection of jewelry and I end up leaving with new pieces every time. (Super affordable, too!)

I got my septum pierced here a few days ago and the whole experience was wonderful. The shop has a ton of character, too! Just got my conch and helix piercings here. Melissa is amazing. Super professional, friendly and quick. I was terrified of the conch piercing but she made it so quick and virtually painless. She is quick and friendly - under 10 minutes for my industrial but I didnt feel rushed. A must go if you have any anxiety about getting a piercing because youll hardly feel a thing!I got a suicide awareness tattoo from flash which was quick in and out but the tattoo artist was friendly. I had brought both my girls, 8 and 11, back in Spring of 2023 and I couldn’t have been happier. Beware, there are some decorations that are a little mature for young children, but par for the course. I’ll return for any further piercings.

I got my labret done here a few days ago and I will never go to another shop for piercings EVER again (I have 11 piercings prior to this one) Melissa was the best! so comforting and great with explanations and the guy who checked me in when i got there was just as great! 10/10

Everyone is so nice and melissa was amazing with me. She helped calm my nerves and talked me through the whole time. She has a very clean area and is super careful and thorough when piercing. I got my belly button pierced there about two months ago. And just today got my nose and tongue pierced. Belly button is healing wonderfully because she gave me all the information I needed. Great Experience. Have gone to Melissa for 5? piercings now and each time was done well and placed exactly where I wanted them. I have never had a problem with aftercare and all have healed well. Will go back and I do recommended.

Would not recommend. I went in for a belly piercing and instead of Melissa telling me my belly button is anatomically correct for a piercing she ended up piercing my surface. Only for the piercing to reject a few months later and I now have a hideous scar above my belly button. I have gone to several other piercers and they immediately note how any piercer should have known to not pierce me there. Very disappointed. She was super nice but I wish she would have just been more detail oriented

Melissa has been our familys piercing professional and a friend to myself and my 3 daughters for 8 years now. She and her husband always make us feel welcome and take time to make us feel comfortable.

I had gotten nipple piercings in February of last year and have noticed they were not healing completely regardless how often I would clean them, keep them safe, and take all the necessary precautions.Come to find out that after over a year later, they were not only pierced way too deep or too low, but also with the incorrect jewelry. While I may have had a good initial experience, the healing and incorrect piercing has ruined it.

Appointment was at 5pm. Got there a few minutes before and the Dane Cook look alike cashier was leaning on the counter helping another customer. So I patiently wait (while not being acknowledged) for his help. The lady completes her transaction and needs a jewelry change so he sends her happily up to the waiting room. He acknowledges me but definitely was not interested in answering my questions regarding piercing sizes. Now the lady he was helping while I was waiting got his full attention but when it came down to me he wasnt as eager to share his knowledge. 1st red flag. After I purchase and pay he advises me to go to the waiting room and will be called by Melissa shortly. I go up and now its a few minutes past 5pm. Myself and the jewerly change are in the waiting room. Melissa comes out and acknowledges the jewelry change-doesnt look at me or greet me. The jewelry change has to tell Melissa I was hear first and have an appt. She looks at the lady and says thats fine, grabs my paperwork- still no greeting and tells the jewerly change to come with her. 2nd red flag. No greeting or acknowledging my appt. The change took maybe 2 minutes. The jewelry change came out and Melissa stayed in the back. Still no greeting. 3rd red flag. I then wait about 3 more minutes before I decided this was definitely not the place for me. So I stood up and walked to the entrance to where the piercing happens and called out for Melissa. Called her name twice before she appeared and with an attitude as if I was an inconvenience- she tells me to wait while she setups. 4th red flag. Umm, no. I want my money back. There is no way I would let that low-vibrational angry bird touch me. The sad part is the customer that was there while the jewelery change and I were both in the waiting area had ⁸left-Melissa immediately walked out behind her and took the jewelry change. Not once did I hear water running, indicating that she washed her hands before touching one person after another. Gloves or not thats disgusting but it paints Melissa in the light she is. Dirty. I tell her that I want my money back in which she was rude but agreed. I ask for my paperwork back and head downstairs. Im standing there waiting for generic Dane Cook to process my refund and Melissa is behind me in her Angry Bird unwashed hands stance watching the refund process. Her standing behind me clearly was to ensure I didnt act out with no docrum, which I found hilarious and as disgusting as her energy. What I will say is that when she was in the back setting up she was on the phone with the Dane Cook look alike-why? I dont know but my ancestors were screaming for me to get out of there. Black and Brown people this is not the spot for us. They were purposeful in their actions and I would never trust Melissa to touch my beautiful skin. Nope. I would highly suggest you not going there at all. I would highly suggest finding a place that knows all skin tones but loves a certain one the most, GREEN. As a matter of fact go through the reviews and see if you see any reviews from black people...Ill wait. To the owners shame on you. 15 years ago I got my first piercing from you. Maybe because you were smaller, you were able provide everyone a good service but with the current state of the world-your employees are a direct reflection of your core values/principles. Both of which are rotten. Never again. You have cameras through out that place; I suggest watching and then educating your employees. They scream on your behalf- Sue us, I dare you. I almost took the dare. If after reading this you decide to go here, document your experience and be mindful of the people you are allowing to touch you. Good luck!

I recently went to MoonFlower Boutique for my second ear lobe piercing and had a wonderful experience. The establishment followed COVID protocols and I felt extremely safe. The appointment was quick and Melissa was very helpful with answering any questions related to the piercing and aftercare. I will definitely be coming back for my next piercing. I have a lot of piercings, and I always want to go to the same piercer. I was recommended Moonflower and gave it a shot since I wasnt happy with the piercer I got when I moved to CT. Melissa is amazing, she is so so so so good at what she does. Place is clean, comfortable, welcoming, and her pricing is so good. Ive seen people spend an absurd amount for a piercing. The pricing here is so fair, and she does an amazing job. I cant compliment her work and professionalism enough. She gives you easy access to reach her incase of issues/concerns which is great. After my most recent piercing, I felt a bit faint afterwards (I didnt eat-oops!), and she gave me lollipops and let me relax there until I was ready. She checked in on me to make sure I was ok. I have been recommending her left and right to everyone who wants a piercing.

I went to the lovely Mellisa twice get my nose and naval piercing and she did an amazing job. It was quite painless and very quick she talked me through the whole thing, she was incredibly professional. Both my piercings are healing amazing. I have had multiple piercings here including nose, helix, conch, and tragus. I always loved how quick and easy the piercings were. Ive had a difficult time healing all of my piercings, but they all have eventually healed. So, I was not surprised when my tragus got swollen days after piercing it. However, it got so bad half of my face was swollen by the third day of having it. I had to go to the hospital to have the earring cut out of my ear and was on antibiotics for a week as my tragus was extremely infected. I could not wait to get an appointment to have it checked, I was in excruciating pain, and I knew I would probably need antibiotics anyway. Not sure who was to blame, but I did clean it as instructed. After this, I have heard similar complaints and I am sad about it as I loved it.

I love my tongue piercing. I had to have it redone because it was taken out when I was in the hospital. Melissa was very friendly and calming as I was very nervous when I originally got my tongue pierced. She was just as reassuring the second time as well. I intend to go back for all my piercings

I have gone to Melissa for piercings twice - once for my tragus, the other for my conch. Both piercings were done expertly (I felt) and I never had any issues. By taking care of them the way I was instructed, I have been perfectly happy with both of my Moonflower piercings for 5 years (ish) now. Would visit again!

I walked in wanting a piercing. They said they could do it because they had someone scheduled for a tattoo but it had been a half hour and they did show up. I picked out my ring and got started on the paperwork.Then the tattoo person showed up and they took them and said I needed to come back.Nope, will never be back.Edit: maybe you don’t do tattoos anymore, but you sure did when I was there a couple years ago.

Excellent place for piercings and a cute shop besides for candles/local crafts. Professional and reasonably priced service. They also have a deal on Tuesdays if you book your appointment ahead of time for piercings starting at $25 which includes the basic jewelry.

Very disgusted and unhappy with piercing which I received from Melissa @ Moonflower. She seemed experienced and like she knew what she was doing but my tongue piercing is COMPLETELY CROOKED. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. My boyfriend and I both got our tongues pierced here together and his is crooked as well, not as badly as mine but still very well crooked! My boyfriend went first, I noticed that Melissa pushed the needle in, paused for a brief moment, and proceeded to push the needle the rest of the way through. I didnt think anything of it until later on my boyfriend shared with me that he made the same observation... Do not get a tongue piercing here

Got my nose piercing done by Melissa! She did a really great job! Will be going back for any future piercings and even tattoos, the atmosphere is very comfortable there!

2022 Update: After many MANY years of patronizing MoonFlower, I can say with even more confidence that this really is the only place I will go for any of my piercing needs and wants. I see Melissa eyear, to have her change my the new dermal stud here, too. The piercing waiting room is wonderful: beautiful artwork adorns every surface. Educational materials available to read up on any piercing imaginable (and then some!), plus a tv (on which I got to watch Rick & Morty as I waited my turn) to alleviate any anxiety one might have. They were great with my teenage daughter who had an illegal piercing...took it right out,and didnt charge us!!! Definitely going back for more piercings myself!!!!

Work was sloppy, I stupidly trusted that Sage was capable of carrying out a concept sleeve, and $800 later uber dissapointed. Seemed that sanitation was bad, she coughed on my tattoo multiple times, and didnt wrap the cord with plastic as most shops do. I wouldnt go here again even if the work was free. Whats worse, I am now paying double to have someone fix the terrible mess that Im left with on my arm. Thanks for ruining my arm.

I had an appointment at 12:30 with the owner Melissa for a navel piercing (belly button) she treated me so well had amazing attitude helped me through the process talked me through the cleaning process gave me specific instructions on how to use the spray and also told me when it was gonna be about ready to change the jewelry I had an overall great experience in the shop in general, it had a great mellow vibe to it I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

I went to moonflower to get a new jewel for my microdermal, and they completely messed up my anchor underneath my skin. She took a pair of plyers and kept twisting because she couldnt get the original jewel out when I got home, it took me 5 seconds to unscrew the original jewel with my fingers. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life, and now I have to spend money on a whole new anchor and piercing. DO NOT GO THERE FOR PIERCINGS.

As previous customers notified about an apprentice doing 20 dollar tattoos we submitted our information it was told we would be in contact in the coming weeks 2 months later we have not heard any word on our appointments we did a follow up phone call it was told she no longer works there and there was nothing more that they could do for us I rate this as poor customer service even after being a long term customers we werent treated fairly therefore my reasoning for giving it 0 out of 3
