Exceptional Experience at Benevolent Tattoo.I recently had the pleasure of getting tattooed at Benevolent Tattoo, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From the moment my husband and I called to inquire about a walk-in appointment, the receptionist went above and beyond to accommodate us, despite our tight schedule. We were graciously given a slot before our scheduled appointment, which we truly appreciated.Our tattoo artist, Mike, was nothing short of amazing. Not only was he incredibly talented, but he also made the entire process enjoyable and memorable. His attention to detail and dedication to his craft were evident throughout the session. He listened attentively to our ideas and preferences, ensuring that the final result exceeded our expectations.The atmosphere at Benevolent Tattoo was welcoming and conducive to a positive experience. The studio was impeccably clean, and all safety protocols were meticulously followed, which provided us with peace of mind.Overall, our time at Benevolent Tattoo was nothing short of exceptional. Amazing cover up! First time getting a cover up and I am beyond impressed and extremely happy with the results! I asked a local Facebook group for suggestions on a cover up tattoo artist in Bismarck-Mandan area and I received numerous suggestions of RUSS IRELAN @ BenevolentI have been struggling with this tattoo insecurity for 6+ yearsRuss is a very enthusiastic and well informed tattoo artist. He understands the differences in designs of tattoos. He isn’t someone who just prints a design off the internet and goes right to it-he makes it unique to you.The shop was clean and he upheld cleanly and safe standards throughout the entire process.Overall great w patience - super happy w results - phenomenal art work

The people that work here are fricken awesome and very friendly, was greeted with kindness and was not at all pressured to schedule an appointment. Talked with Russ with what I wanted to get done and his work was phenomenal. He made sure everything was correct and put alot of attention to detail. A tattoo I had that turned out to be a dumpster fire he turned into a master piece. Had to go on a waiting list but it was definitely worth the wait. Will definitely be back

Cover up on a tattoo I had 20 years ago. They did a great job communicating back-and-forth wi was wanting drying it up to the sizing making sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking.It was a great experience from start to finish. From the attentive & friendly customer service during booking, all the way to walking out the door. Russ was amazing. He had us laughing & enjoying our time with him. Didn’t feel rushed. And best of all, he gave me exactly what I wanted. My piece is very personal to me & he made it beautiful. I’m so glad I found his shop! We’re already considering our next visit and we just left.

I have gotten almost all of my tattoos from Russ and absolutely love them. I get compliments all the time & I always make sure to mention who the artist was! Can’t wait to come back and get more!

As far as piercings go (thats all Ive had done here) Chad is absolutely fantastic. Professional, clean, very informative and friendly. I always feel welcome here. So far Ive gotten a septum, nose stud, and 2 double helixes pierced, and everything always heals perfectly (following his directions) with absolutely zero infections or irritations (unless fresh piercing is bumped). The jewelry is the highest quality, and the safest. Ive recommended Chad to all 4 of my sisters and now none of us go to anyone else!

HAVE NOT SAMPLED WORK. but Ashley was on the phone when I called looking for an after care kit or a second skin thingy and she took her time to give me her recommendation for after care as the shop I got my tattoo was on a vacation and the shop owner there was only worried about smoking blunts and looking cool to worry about informing his customers about the tattoo safety basics. . But Ashley took time out of her day to treat me like a customer knowing she wasnt making any money off of it, and inform me on getting the best healing possible for my souvenir tattoo

I have had multiple tattoos done by Russ and just had one done by Logan yesterday. Russ and his team here are TOP notch!! The minute you walk in , you will realize how clean and sterile everything is. You are always greeted with a smile and welcomed in. I have been to many tattoo shops and this is by far second to none!!!! If you havent been to Benevolant yet , you need to get in there !

My 2 nieces and I recieved a matching cartilage piercing in our left ear. Not only was the gentleman knowledgeable about aftercare, he was also quick, painless and EXTREMELY sanitary! He also positioned the piercing in the same exact spot (thats talent)

I went to get a tattoo done by Chris. It was an original hand drawn rose. He did a great job, he was friendly and professional. 10/10 recommend!

Went in music wasnt overpowering where you have to yell over it. Chris was a light hand and got down quickly on my piece and turned out beautiful! Russ was there and made me feel comfortable talking about places in MN. Ashley was very welcoming once I stepped in the door.Hands down professional, clean, welcoming, considerate, passionate, great benefits of returning, free touchups IF needed, and great aftercare instructions. Ive been to other shops where you cant hear anything artist argues with you on your piece, these guys explain and know this is YOUR tattoo. They are excellent choice if you come to town and want a beautiful piece done :) ill be finishing my arm with Chris after the holidays for sure!

I wanted to get a piercing for a while and I was looking for different places to go in the area. It ended up being a little spontaneous because a friend wanted one too. When we got there, Chad talked to us about the type of metal he chooses to use and how he cleans everything. I have had a couple of piercing done and he was by far the best Ive had. The experience was great and the other staff members were very friendly too!

Absolutely amazing experience here. Super friendly and professional. I had Chad(I think that was his name?) Pierce my septum and I was pretty nervous about it. He totally calmed my fears and was so nice about it. Everything was very sterile and he walked me through the whole process. Then, when my septum ring fell out 2 weeks later I was able to come in right away to get a new one. Chad had a sterilized one waiting for me and put it in so I didnt have to struggle with it myself. The receptionist was also incredibly friendly and helpful and even showed me her septum ring and what kind she uses. I will definitely be back here. I cant say enough great things about this place.

My best friend and I got our noses pierced here. We both wanted double hoop piercings. Chad was really great and took the time to consult with us. He explained to my best friend that he would do a double piercing if she really wanted but with the shape of her nose it wasnt going to look right and she wouldnt be happy. He would have to do one higher than the the other. He showed her a mock placement. She agreed and just went with a single. I did get a double.We were both thankful that he was an honest and caring person. He cared more about my friend being happy with how it looked than the $. We will be back for more piercings and tattoos!

Savannah is extremely professional, very accommodating and put me at ease about my septum piercing. Shes great!! Well worth the long drive I took!

My sister and I were just in this morning and Aaron was awesome! He was so nice and did a wonderful job on our tats! He was so good about all the little tweeking I had him do to mine. I cant wait to go back for another one!!

I got a daith piercing done by Chad. He was super efficient and professional while making an effort to be personable. The whole procedure was very fast and I generally felt welcome by everyone in the shop. Would return again for the good service!

Very recently saw Chad, for a double piercing. He was extremely professional, quick and attentive. What is usually described as painful piercings were everything but. A very comfortable and professional session all around. Definitely a returning customer to this establishment.

I had my ears pierced here because I have a nickel allergy and cant use cheap jewelry. All of there studs are Implant Grade Titanium!

Employees were nice, but they put in the wrong size post for my ear piercing and I have to pay to get it surgically removed from my ear.

That place has a great atmosphere and great people to talk to. Swing by to ask anything. Its worth your while. I can keep on going but come in and look for yourself.
