Mystic Owl Tattoo

I had the chance to do a tattoo with Chet Lummus at Mystic Owl Tattoo. I gotta say it was awesome!! The whole staff was great and after spending 7 hours in there I left with the best tattoo and experience I’ve had in any studio. It’s clean, organized and everyone is so nice and not judge or rude, definitely a great experience.

Everyone, from Arie who did my tattoo, to the other artists present, to the front desk girl - is so incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Perfect experience from the first call and consultation to tattoo day. Absolutely recommend this well run studio with extremely talented artists!

I did a walk-in appointment at 10 am on a Tuesday morning. Pablo was the available artist and he did an amazing job. I came in the a design I wanted to add to a previous tattoo and he did a fantastic job. I asked for his opinion on sizing and orientation and he made it look absolutely perfect. I love how the tattoo came out!! I definitely recommend Pablo to anyone wanting to get a tattoo! Super gentle and very kind, I felt super comfortable through the entire process.

Was excited to get a chance to work with Vince and I actually expected it to take a while to hear back so it was no surprise. I felt lucky to get a chance to fit in to the schedule honestly. Once we got going the Zoom consultation was pleasant and professional and I left out feeling like Vince had it under control.Scheduling after that was fairly easy and communication from their shop was consistent.Session 1 complete for some fairly complicated sleeve work and it was amazing. Great experience overall. Excited to continue in the process.The location is exceptionally clean and inviting from even the exterior.

I LOVE my new tattoo from Dani Fortino and am just pleased as punch! :) Dani and I communicated via Insta and then email for a few weeks, I sent her my design ideas and then had a consultation with her before my tattoo day. She was patient, understood the look I was going for and after speaking with her, she came up with a fantastic design for me! Her fine line work is just amazing! I look forward to working with her again in the future!

Janie,Pablo did an amazing job with my tattoo. Pablo is indeed talented and he created a spectacular rose with vines and flowers. The size was just right too. Danii was absolutely wonderful! I had a last minute emergency with my car the day of the original appointment and she was so kind and understanding about me unexpectedly needed to reschedule. When I had my appointment the tattoo was beyond perfect, the space was nice, clean and comfortable, and Danii herself was amazing as well. Great space, beautiful artwork, and fantastic artist! The tattoo is almost a month healed, and looks soo good! I will definitely be back again. Highly Recommend!!

I had an old sort of half of a half sleeve that was in need of serious work done on it (touch up, some covering up, etc.), and wanted to fill in the remainder of free space on the forearm with a new design to complement it. I gave Arie the general idea I had in mind for the new design, and that was it - otherwise, she had full liberty to do whatever she wanted. Needless to say, the results are awesome!Overall I had a very positive experience and shudder to think if I had done this anywhere but Mystic Owl. Arie is an extremely skilled and original/creative tattoo artist, front desk/support are compassionate and caring, and the environment is clean and comfortable.It will be with great pleasure to refer people to Arie and Mystic Owl whenever I receive inquiries on the work she completed.

Always a wonderful experience at Mystic Owl. Been popping in for nearly 7 years now, even back when they were still at the old location! Fantastic artists, fantastic receptionists, fantastic people. From small to large pieces and the most vibrant colors, this shop does it all. And their fundraiser tattoos? Literally my favorite part of the entire year. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, taking the time to ensure you get not only an incredible quality tattoo but also enjoy yourself with friendly people and high quality banter.Vince did an incredible sleeve for me that also covered up an old tribal arm band i got in college. You cant even tell it was ever there! His design and execution is more than i could have ever dreamed of. Now were working on my other arm to brighten up an older tattoo and add some new elements. Seriously, this is the only shop Ill ever go to from now on and the only one i recommend. 🙌❤🙌❤🙌

Kat was super friendly and did a great job touching up our tattoos that were done a little wonky from a different artist!Krissy at the front desk is super friendly and made the process of bringing along my 4year old super easy and fun.

Mystic Owl is the best place I’ve been to for a tattoo (and I adore my other tats). My husband and I went in today for my third and his first tattoo. The front desk woman was, first of all, awesome. Super sweet and knowledgeable. Chris was our artist and he is without a doubt one of the coolest and creative guys out there. He’s really down to earth and you can tell he loves what he does. My husband and I are so happy and will definitely be back for more. Thanks, all!

I had a great experience at Mystic Owl Tattoo. All the staff from the receptionist to the artist were super friendly. The environment from when you first enter the building to when you sit down for your tattoo was comfortable and relaxing. Mae did an AWESOME job creating my tattoo design. Mae was attentive to all the details that I wanted in my tattoo and worked so well with me. During my session Mae was so kind, fun, and attentive to every detail! It was truly a great experience from consultation to the finished work of my tattoo.

I have gotten three tattoos done here and each time Ive had a wonderful experience. This is the place I always suggest for people to go.They are very professional always respond quickly. The three tattoos I got are very important to me so of course I wanted them to be amazing and Jeremy delived each time. Everything is sterile without feeling like a doctors office which calmed my mom down instantly when I got my first tattoo. My only regret is not having the money for more tattoos.

I like this shop because they provide dynamic art styles that you can’t find everywhere. It’s a clean and cool vibe inside the shop. My only criticism is that my artist left me in the chair a couple of times longer than I liked, and the first time they forgot to wrap my tattoo while they stepped away. I think it was an honest mistake. My best tattoo experiences have been with artists who check in with me on how I’m doing and pace breaks around the client - a little more customer service is what I’m looking for while I’m in the chair.

This was my first ever tattoo. I found Mystic Owl Tattoo online by searching for tattoo places in the area that have good ratings. I have to say this was the best first tattoo experience I could have hoped for. Chris Valencia did my tattoo and I absolutely love it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Ive heard from so many friends that their artist wasnt friendly or the atmosphere was dark and this is the exact opposite. They said theyll be moving shops, but if/when I decide to get another tattoo I will definitely be looking for them and Chris!

I had my very first tattoo experience with Kat Oglesby and she was AMAZING. She heard everything I said in my consultation and created exactly what I wanted with almost no changes. She calmed my fears and explained everything. Making a permanent mark on my body was a huge decision and I’m so glad I trusted Kat.All of the women in the studio were fantastic and contribute to this vibe that is the perfect blend of caring, laughter and just a little snark! I saw some work that the other Cat was doing the same day and it was so great too.The only caution is that the entrance to the building from the lot isn’t easy for someone with disabilities, so plan ahead and bring a friend or ask for help. Krissy was happy to lend a hand and helped me get to my car.

Went to Vince years ago for an anthropomorphic bear to remember my grandfather. He knocked it out of the park. It’s my favorite piece of the dozens I have. He started the tattoo with a microdot background that gave me the ability to fill in my half sleeve. All this the first time I met him! Dude is amazing, the shop was amazing, my ink is amazing. I drove 6hrs to see him and I will gladly drive all the way back for my next piece!

I went to Mystic Owl for my first two tattoos ever! From the minute you step in all the way until the very end of the appointment, everyone was os incredibly friendly and informative. They really made all of my nerves go away, and I am SO in love with my tattoos. Christopher did my tattoos and he was absolutely awesome, detailed, and had the best vibe. Krissy at the front was so kind and gave great feedback on placement. 1000000/10, would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely amazing experience. Mary was my artist and she was the best. My session was 4 hours and she made the process so comfortable for me. We took a few breaks while tattooing, and she never shamed me for needing a break. Mary is not only an amazing artist, but such a kind and sweet soul. I recommend her 10000%! My next tattoo will definitely be from her. The shop was also incredibly clean- it was spotless! The pricing is also very good and reasonable. 🦉🦉

Just got a rad tattoo from Mary earlier this week and it was such a great experience! The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and my partner and I got to have lots of fun, nerdy conversations. Because we were road tripping home right after the tat, Mary made extra sure the bandage would stay put for the multi-day drive, and it did!

I have nothing but praise for this business. Krissy who runs the front desk was amazing. She helped me figure out the specifics of what I was looking for and advised me on how to proceed. My tattoo artist was Kali Torres, who was also amazing. Kali is a true artist and creates beautiful work. The facility itself is beautiful. Its modern and spectacularly clean. The whole process from beginning to end was seamless and comfortable. I highly recommend this business, you will not be disappointed. I will 100% be back for more!

My first trip to Mystic Owl Tattoo was in 2019 where Chris did an amazing piece for me. He was incredibly patient and accommodating to a last minute change and stayed late to make sure the work was complete (instead of asking me to schedule a second appointment). My art looks as good as it did over 2 years ago and I havent had to get a touch-up! I most recently have been back to see Tara who has done a phenomenal job on my brows (powder)! I just had my follow up appointment yesterday and wont have to have them followed up on in 2-3 years (definitely worth the price). My first appointment she knew I was anxious and was so calm, professional, and personable that I was almost immediately at ease. Coming back a second time was like reconnecting with an old friend. She remembered details from what we had talked about over a month ago and the 1.5 hours flew by. She does incredible work, takes her time, and is clearly very knowledgeable and talented at her craft. The shop itself is very clean, the staff are pleasant, and it is a very well run business. I would 100% recommend Mystic Owl to anyone. It is clear that both Tara and Vince care deeply about their business, their staff, and their clients!

I went in for a consult on a back piece, but also to talk about a memorial tattoo for a kitty I had to escort over the Bridge the day before. Kat had an opening that very day for the memorial paw prints. She worked and designed the PERFECT floofy paw prints to honor and remember my longhair black kitty with. Both Kat and Krissy helped me feel completely at ease (and apparently Im being adopted by Krissy), and I enjoyed every minute of my experience. They both turned a sad and bittersweet day into a comforting one with happy memories.I go back in a few weeks to start on my back piece, also done by Kat and I cannot wait!

Carla just did my first piece. Worked with me on placement and gave her opinion on what would look best since I didn’t get what I originally went in with. We changed the piece a little to better accommodate where it would go. She’s very knowledgeable and did an amazing job. Also is a wonderful person to talk to while working on you. AMAZING! I saw Chris to begin the process of my sleeve and I have paw prints with my dogs faces in them and it looks like I have a legit picture on my arm. He is amazing. The entire staff was amazing, from the first consult to the actual appointment. The entire facility is clean and I wont go anywhere else for a tattoo, go ahead and book an appointment and expect a wait, thats when you know theyre amazing artists! Best experience with a tattoo shop that Ive ever had. From the initial consultation to the aftercare, the Mystic Owl staff instilled a high level of comfort and trust. Inside of the shop is immaculate, bright, and open.My artist was the owner, Vince. We were able to have great conversation, and he made the 5 hour session on the inside of my right bicep as comfortable as possible. I made sure to research his work, gave him a basic idea of what I wanted, and let him work his style into my piece using the process hes developed over the years. That process was well worth it. Its been almost a month and I receive questions and compliments about my tattoo almost every time I go out. With proper aftercare, the healing took a little over a week for my skin.I would recommend anyone in the metro area make Mystic Owl their tattoo destination. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are all engaged in your interests throughout the process. No egos here.

Best tattoo parlor in Atlanta! I’ve gotten tattoos in Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas and Mystic Owl was by far the cleanest and most inviting I’ve ever been to. The front lobby is welcoming and who doesn’t love free candy? The artist I worked with was incredibly accommodating and worked hard to create exactly what I was looking for. It was a great experience and I love the finished product! Definitely recommend and will be going back again.

Great experience getting my first tattoo here! Environment is clean, receptionists are friendly, the atmosphere is really relaxed, and Thomas was an awesome artist! I love what I have seen of his work anyway but Im still amazed by how he took my idea and made it a perfect polished piece that Im thrilled I get to wear. :D Plus he made this newbie feel comfortable and not like a total idiot, which I totally appreciate. This is hands down the best shop I’ve ever been to. I booked with Drew because his portfolio matched what I was looking for, which was a Howl’s Moving Castle tattoo. Everyone there including Drew was SUPER nice and helpful. Plus the building itself was gorgeous inside and very very clean.You get what you pay for and I was blown away by my tattoo. I will forevermore ONLY use Drew. My first experience getting a tattoo by a professional at a different studio was horrific and almost made me never want to get another tattoo again. But Drew gave me pointers and tips for care that I didn’t know before and what do you know, my tattoo healed faster and looks great. That guy deserves so much, thanks a bunch Drew! I LOVED Mystic Owl! I came here for my first tattoo in March and Taylor Ann was my artist. She rocks! She was super friendly, clean, and knew what to do to make you feel comfortable with the whole experience. She designed my tattoo from scratch with my ideas that I had at our consultation in about five minutes. It was so quick but she got exactly what I wanted and it was perfect. I had a great experience here and Im already booked for my next appointment with Taylor in January.

I could not be more happy with my experience at Mystic Owl! I booked the appointment with Sam online and she helped set me up with the right artist and gave me some very helpful advice about the tattoo I had in mind (my first tattoo). When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how chic, stylish and clean the studio is. I then met with Johnny, the artist, and he was very chill and knowledgeable about the process and placement for the tattoo I wanted. The tattooing itself was over before I knew it and was almost painless. I LOVE the end result and am very happy with the whole experience I had at Mystic Owl. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had such an amazing experience with everyone at Mystic Owl Tattoo. From Brian at the front desk to Vince, who was my tattoo artist, I was really impressed with the importance they all put on making sure their clients were happy. Vinces artwork was what drew me to this parlor in the first place and I was not disappointed. The building itself was kept very clean and all the tools used were brand new. Vince even made sure to show the expiration date on those as we were getting ready. If youre thinking of getting a new tattoo check this place out!! I drove over 2 hours and would do it again in a heartbeat because I had such a wonderful experience.

Went and saw Drew for my most recent tattoo. He was great and the whole process was easy and smooth. Scheduled a virtual consultation with Drew to discuss the initial idea. On the day of my appointment I went through the shops safety process and felt very safe entering the shop. When I met Drew in person and saw the design I was blown away. It was exactly what I wanted. Sometime after I called for my free touchups but it was past the 60 days. They said they would work with me since it was my first time with them and it was just outside of the window. Overall my experience with Mystic Owl was great and I would recommend them and especially Drew to all of my friends.

Ive had good experiences before here with Johnny, hes GREAT. but if youre looking for clean line work, avoid Drew at all cost! He was recommended to me (even though I requested Johnny) but I should have trusted my gut and went with who I knew. my tattoo ended up being the wrong colour too. otherwise this place is very clean, but be sure to check the artists work before committing.

I have never been in a cleaner shop than Mystic Owl! You can tell that they take pride in their shop, Chris Valencia did my mine and my daughters tattoos and he did an awesome job! Mine has healed quickly and looks great, my daughters looks good as well. The prices are very reasonable. I look forward to working with Chris on a few other tattoos that I want.

I cannot say enough good things about this place or my artist, Johnny Parker. As a RN, during this time especially, Im constantly aware of hygiene and health conditions. Walking through the door you could tell Mystic Owl has taken every precaution to keep themselves and their clients safe. From hand hygiene to mask wearing, it was all covered. The shop was immaculate. Next, I have to rave about Johnny Parker. I waited 2 months after my Zoom consultation to start my forearm sleeve. It was worth the wait and every penny spent. He took my vision, I gave him artistic freedom, and it came out perfectly. His level of talent and skill will be hard to match. Im excited to finish my piece in 4 weeks and thrilled with the outcome so far. Go see Johnny!

Kat was my tattoo artist, she was the absolute best! Not only did she do a great job on the tattoos but it was the experience that will have me coming back- Kat was so understanding and encouraging, great conversation, and what an amazing artist.

After only being tattooed by one artist my entire life, my husband begged me to go see Carlos. we had a slight mix up on the day of my appointment and Tara, the shop owner was extremely amazing, kind, and courteous. It turned out to be the best tattoo i have, and i have close to 50. The shop is clean and very relaxing. Will be a client here from now on! This shop is quality at its finest! Carlos work is truly unreal!

I recently had a cover up tattoo done by Johnny and really appreciated his knowledge and skill level! I had multiple artists at different studios say that the cover up wasnt possible without more laser treatments but he was able to design something that worked without having to get more laser treatments. It turned out beautifully! The studio owners Vince and Tara did an amazing job designing the new studio! I will definitely be back and highly recommend them!

I’ve gotten three tattoos here and I’ve loved my experience every time. I had Carlos twice and he does great work. I also had another artist for one of my bigger pieces but sadly he no longer works there. Everyone is super friendly and professional and it is very clean and organized. I can’t wait to go back for my next tattoo!

My girlfriend and I got tattooed last night by Mike Bugenhagen at Mystic Owl Tattoo (5/9/14). Hands down, this is the best tattoo I have ever got. The whole experience was great. As other reviewers have mentioned, this place is not intimidating. Vince, Taylor, and Mike were all super happy and personable. Mike was booked for 2 weeks prior to our appointment. I stopped in several times to see my drawings. While the initial sketch was great, the final product was even better.I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is thinking about getting a tattoo in Marietta.Thanks guys!

There is so much meaning behind these two words. They’re not just words, but rather what has gotten me through many ups and downs in life. I wanted to commemorate my 2 year cancer free anniversary with this tattoo. Love, love, love! Everyone is nice, friendly, and supportive, and the tattoo artists are all insanely talented (follow their Instagram). Its expensive, but their designs are true art and the deposit you pay at consultation goes towards the cost of your actual tattoo. Carlos did my arm a little over a year ago, and it STILL looks brand new and gets tons of compliments. Could not be happier with it, and cant wait to be able to afford to go back for the next one.

One of the best shops in the area. They are my number one recommended shop. Every receptionist Ive spoken to has been very friendly and helpful. Ive been tattooed by Vince, Johnny, and Jeremy here and each experience was comfortable and the tattoos look amazing. Ive sent multiple family members and friends here and they all love it.

Mystic Owl tattoo is by far the best shop in GA! When you walk in, you will be greeted by a friendly face and you will notice right away how incredibly clean the shop is. Every artist is extremely talented although the majority of my experience is with Vince Villalvazo - the shop owner. He will listen to your ideas with an open mind and provide recommendations without being pushy. His talent is unmatched. His work is the best you can find. If you are looking to get a tattoo, big or small, Mystic Owl is definitely the place to go. You will not be disappointed!

This place is seriously awesome!!I got my second tattoo done at Mystic Owl by Carlos Fuentes. It was my first color tattoo and I was a bit nervous to do color but, after looking at his beautiful work with color, I knew Carlos would create a great tattoo for me. It took a bit of time to complete the tattoo but he made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It was also cool having some of the other artists come over and check out the tattoo as he was doing it haha definitely an awesome and chill atmosphere. I absolutely am in love with my tattoo!! I get multiple compliments on it on a daily basis!I will definitely be coming back to see Carlos in the future for more tattoos. (:

Very professional. Chris did a fantastic job! The atmosphere is clean and inviting. The staff make you feel comfortable and cared for. I had my first 3 and only 3 tattoos done by a friend of a friend at their house. Bad move. I was humilated and kept my wrists covered for months. I went to every parlor in Cobb county and NO ONE would help. Chris took the time to look at them, tell me what he could do to fix them and even added his own artistic flare. I am so thankful for him and Mystic Owl. I will never go anywhere else again and if you are smart neither will you.

I went in on a referral. First impressions are lasting! Sam does an awesome job at the front desk. She’s friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable!Drew was my artist. I wanted a simply butterfly (upper left arm.) He took his time and I left with a beautiful piece of work. He explained EVERYTHING.They followed protocol for Covid-19, the shop wasimmaculate and nicely decorated.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. Tara did my powder brows and shes extremely knowledgeable, personable and most of all meticulous. The studio itself is beautifully appointed, clean, well run and conveniently located. Theyve won many awards for their artistry. Iv funny have a tattoo but if I did this would be where is have it done.

Vince the owner is a amazing artist and has hired the best artists Georgia has. After getting my last 3 big tattoos her i can confidently say that this the best shop iv ever seen, or been to. I just had a tattoo finished by Vince, he is incredibly creative and talented. The shop is clean and everyone who works there is polite and approachable. I had three long sessions and he was able to accomplish a cover up tattoo that turned out much better than I had ever expected. The original was so dark I was afraid it couldnt be done. Waited 7 hours at their event to then have them decide it was too much. They offered refunds or reschedule but that does not make up for wasting SEVEN hours of my time. At 5pm when someone who arrived at 11am was still there they should have made the decision to refund or reschedule. Poor planning, poor organizing, and a weak apology for wasting my entire Sunday. Will not recommend or return.

Thomas Sands did an excellent job on my forearm tattoo. This was my first time getting a tattoo and I felt very comfortable having him as an artist! Hes great at having conversations while your getting the tattoo to pass time. I recommend anyone to check out Mystic Owl! First of all before deciding on Mystic Owl, I went to other shops in the area. When I walked into one shop, I walked back out, because I got the feeling I did not belong there. Second shop, the artist took my design, and twisted and turned it until it was no longer what I wanted. Now to Mystic Owl, I got my first tattoo by Taylor Ann two months ago. From the first moment I walked into the door, it was a very clean and friendly atmosphere. Taylor worked with me to enhance my design and not make it her own. The day of the appointment she explained how it would be done step by step. She was so great at being an artist, that in my case it was 99% pain free, there was a weird vibration in my abdomen, but for me there was very little pain. When I get another I will definitely, be going back to Mystic Owl and scheduling it Taylor Ann.

Vince Villalvazo and his crew at Mystic Owl Tattoo are the very best.Ive had Vince working on a Hammer Horror movie sleeve for a little a year and a half. Its absolutely stellar. The line work and his excellent eye he has for color make the tattoo look brilliant.I am immensely pleased and they have nothing but the highest of recommendations from me.The picture is from March of 2018. I had one more session to pick out details. Ill post an update when Ive healed.

I recently went to Mystic Owl recently to get my 3rd and largest tattoo. I was very impressed by the staff, every single artist truly knows their stuff. I had an idea for my tattoo, but wasnt married to any one design. I gave Carlos my idea and some artwork, and when I came back to get it done I was very very happy with what he came up with! You can do no better here, and I plan to come back to get some touch-up work done on a different tattoo. 5/5 stars for sure.One thing however, is that all these artists are extremely busy, it took me 5 months from my initial appointment before I could come in to get it done. Dont sit around waiting for to decide, book your appointment today!!

Decided on Mystic Owl for my first tattoo experience, and I am so glad that I did. I gave the artist (Johnny) an idea of what I wanted and a picture of what I wanted the tattoo based on. Within a day, he developed a design that was better than I wouldve imagined. I felt comfortable throughout the whole process, and the shop as a whole exudes professionalism. I will probably get another tattoo at some point, and theres no way Ill go anywhere else to get it.

I have seen many people get amazing work done but personally I had a horrible experience. I was getting my first tattoo and was emailing back and fourth with the woman who does appointments. First of all she was VERY rude to me. Second after I scheduled my appointment with her, she never contacted me back about a consultation, prices, or even anything. After waiting days and days I emailed her back and asked what happened. She very rudely explained she gave my appointment away and that I was going to have to wait over a month to get another. I wont deny they produce beautiful tattoos, but if customer service is not as good as the tatoos then its not worth it to me.

The staff are very nice and the shop is very clean.I had made an appointment with Chris for a full day tattoo. He is very professional and a great tattoo artist. I came in to get a new tattoo but as well Chris had fix my old tattoos that another tattoo shop messed up on. It came out way better than i thought. I had made another appointment for the 24th of November to do another piece on my arm... i would recommend this tattoo shop.

If you want a quality tattoo from experienced professionals this is the place to go. Its not really a walk in tattoo shop, these guys take the time sit down with you and make your ideas come to life. The atmosphere is very friendly and clean not to mention the people are great company too. You may have to wait a while for an available time slot but patience definitely pays off when dealing with the level of work they offer.

I was referred by a friend to Mystic Owl, so I made an appointment and met with Taylor Ann. I am not a very artistic person, so at the appointment Taylor helped me design my tattoo. I set up the Tattoo appointment about a week later, in the mean time, Taylor and I emailed back and fourth with ideas about the tattoo. When I arrived at the parlor, she ready and had the design in hand. We went over everything and made a few addition to the tattoo and got started. She is very nice and fun to talk to during the process, my girlfriend was there and we were all talking and joking around with her. I love my tattoo, it is exactly what I wanted and I cannot stop looking at it. The parlor was very clean and the whole staff was extremely nice. I will definitively be returning to have more work done at Mystic Owl.

Jeremy was very easy and pleasant to work with. I appreciated his honestly and thoughtfulness regarding the designs I chose. And his line work on my simple wrist tattoos looks amazing. Looking forward to returning for a larger cover up piece soon.

I worked with Carla and she was amazing. She made sure that I was happy with every step of the process. She was pleasant and communicative. She did beautiful work and I definitely plan to get more work done from her. If I could give more stars I would.

I love Mystic Owl Tattoo. After trying a couple of other places in the Atlanta area, I finally found my tattoo home. Since finding Mystic Owl, I have had three tattoos done. Each better than the last. I even took my seventy year old mother to get a tattoo there. I would highly recommend Mystic Owl Tattoo to anyone thinking of getting some ink. They are knowledgeable, talented and the shop is hella nice.

Edit: After posting a review saying that I was not happy with my tattoo done by another artist, they immediately reached out to me to see what they could do to fix it (great customer service). I got an appt with Chris and he was awesome! I got the original one fixed and added to at no cost to me. Im 10000x happier with this tattoo than I was with the first one. I would definitely recommend Chris for a tattoo or a re-work.

In a week, I was at the shop 3 times... myself, my brother, and husband all got tattoos in the same week because of how pleased I was with simply the energy from walking in... I was referred by 2 different people from 2 different parts of my world.... and Mystic Owl was HIGHLY recommended. I contacted Mike directly via email... he quickly replied, providing feedback and very detailed information about his self and the shop.While my brother was in town, I took him to Mystic Owl where he immediately felt right about the shop - he got his first tattoo and possibly fell a little in love with Taylor-Ann :) (who is absolutely amazing as well!)..The shop is so amazing clean... You can always tell how sanitary a place is by the bathroom.. WOW! I felt like I was in a model home... Clean and very nice...2 days later I came and saw Mike, so nice, professional (yes! didnt know that existed in a tattoo atmosphere) I told him what I wanted.. he said ok give me a few minutes to draw something up.. came back with my vision in his hand! I left there with A LOT more than I had expected... he went above and beyond! On the way home, I stop at the store and was approached by multiple people to ask about where I got my tattoo (this is how amazing this art was!).... only 2 days later.. my husband was on the table with Dr. Mike :) and loved every moment of it (Ha!).As crazy as it sounds... In just the few times I have been at Mystic Owl, I feel like Im family. I love it! Ive never been one for piercing.. but only because Id love another reason to hang out... Johnny did a great job interpreting what I asked for. My tattoo came out perfectly and is exactly what I wanted. My request wasnt complicated, but was very specific, and he took the time to understand what I wanted. The rest of the staff were just as awesome. This was my first tattoo. I met Jeremy for a consult and discussed what I wanted. He made sure when I showed up for my tattoo that it was what I wanted. The tattoo is beautiful. He made me feel very comfortable. The shop is extremely clean and sanitary. I will definitely have Jeremy do my next one.

Maybe the friendliest staff Ive come across at a tattoo shop in my 10+ years of getting work done. Very detailed and knowledgeable of their craft. I paid about $600 for a 3 hour session for a half sleeve and im satisfied with my finished product. Most people dont know exactly what to expect when getting work done but with tattoos YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. Would not recommend for a small tattoo because you have to pay for time at this location, but would highly recommend for something extensive with detail. Clean environment and they do make you comfortable not sure if you could get more bang for your buck elsewhere but when i get another idea I would return for another go.

I will never go there again.So I emailed and made an appointment to start planning for my first tattoos (I have two picked out) a few days in advanced. Well, the day of the appointment, I realized I was going to be late, so I called and told them. They were completely understanding and asked when I would be there.I got there, and the inside was completely clean and nice. I checked in, and she said itd be a minute. I sat and waited, and saw an artist working with another woman. About ten minutes pass, and he gets up to go sketch something for her. On his way to the back he turns to me and introduces himself. After formalities I showed him the ideas that I wanted, and he immediately shut down.I think it was because they were small and would only take one hour combined. He explained that he couldnt copy someone elses work, and I said I understood. I asked if he could give me a basic sketch of what he was thinking, because the one was small but intricate. He refused, saying that they only draw if they know the customer is going to get the tattoo. I said I couldnt say that until I knew what I would be getting, and that I was trying to compare from a few other places. Then he told me that I didnt need to get my tattoos there and walked away.While Im sure the tattoos would have been fine, I;ll never know because their customer service is so bad. Basically, dont go there unless you want something big, so they can charge you for more time.

I went to do a special tattoo with my mothers name, she passed away a year ago from cancer and I was looking something soft that had a deep meaning for me her name is Rosalia and Jonny did an amazing job putting together the tatto I was looking for. He is the best working B&W and soft lines, 100% recommended I’ll tatto with him for my next one. Clean place following all the rules to keep you safe.

I was just passing through the area and decided to have my labret ring changed out for a stud. I called ahead, and unlike most tattoo places, they were professional and friendly on the phone. I met with Kerry Ulberg and she did the procedure - for free! I tried to pay her but she wouldnt let me. She and the rest of the staff were very friendly and the facility seemed very clean. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Scheduled my consultation twice, both times I was told that a scheduling conflict came up and needed to be rescheduled. Not great when you take time off from work to go. Didn’t seem to care about new clients, even with getting a bigger piece. Better off finding someplace else.Edited in response to your response: We had sent emails back and forth about the first appointment and I confirmed with you the date and time. I still have the emails. Second said that they was a scheduling conflict and that I would have to reschedule. When I sent a email back that I would take my business elsewhere I received a call back saying that you were able to move things around for me. I understand youre trying to stick up for your business but you dont have to lie. I am just stating a honest review from my experience and I have no anger. Best wishes

I came in February to get my nose pierced because my boyfriend offered to pay for it as a birthday gift. It was my choice of where to go and I decided to go to Mystic Owl because I originally recorded the shop for my best friend to get her tattoo (which was badass btw, we both loved what Taylor did!). I figured that since they did such a marvelous job with my friends tattoo that they would do just as well with my nose piercing! It was my mistake for thinking this place would do as well.First off I did a ton of research on the shop and the staff (at the time they only showed one piercer) I was under the assumption that she would be doing it with her large portfolio and experience.. WRONG! We walked in on a Sunday (without an appointment) to meet this young black woman at the front desk (cant remember her name).The shop was very clean, and she was a very nice girl, not rude at all however, her appearance looked like she just rolled out of bed and came to work ( which was a stark contrast from my last experience there).She asked what we were looking for and we told her, She then proceeded to get up and check if they had any jewelry left to do any. She managed to scrape up a couple but there really was no choices which was a turn off. Next she took us into one of the piercing rooms and went about the process (washing hands, taking out sterile needles etc.). At this point I just assumed that she was a new hire that knew what she was doing considering the reputation of the shop. She didnt even give any after care instructions ( and whatever she did say when I asked was very vague). She did the piercing and took a picture and we went about our merry way. The real issues started after we left.First off, I am very confident that she used a gauge entirely too big for a nose piercing, Even the jewelry looked to be about an 16! Second I HATED the jewelry she used, she used a round top; it looked similar to a labret. I ended up having to go back to the shop to buy another (the dang top twisted off and fell down the drain while cleaning), and they didnt even have any jewelry period! I ended up having to go to Lucky Draw in marietta to buy a replacement.Next thing, I have a lot of piercings and I have never ever had any issues with any of them. This piercing is the most troublesome! It started acting up from the second week and It has been months since February and its still acting as though it hasnt healed. I actually had to take the nose ring out due to it starting to open up and absorb the jewelry... Honestly if this was my first body piercing i would think it was me. But considering i havent gone to the same place twice, i can say that she messed me up. Lastly, After ALL the issues i was having I called the shop so many times for advice on what to do and it was literally the same answer, I even went as far as to call other shops (who gave me more detailed advice).Thinking back on it all, she had to be an apprentice.. I am so pissed that my birthday gift turned out to be nothing but a troublesome and painful experience up to now. Im even more upset that Im going to have to give up and try again on the other side at a DIFFERENT shop. The experience and bedside manner was there, but a piercing that would be done properly is what I came for. Please ladies and gentlemen their tattoos are amazing , but I can honestly say I wouldnt go back there for a piercing even if it was free.

There is no working with Tara , she’s the type of person who always thinks she’s right. Shes hard to get in touch with, doesn’t respond to emails until several days later. Blames others for clerical mistakes. She’s very rude and very insensitive. I’m so embarrassed about how she treated me in the waiting room. I would suggest that you find another location for permanent makeup, she has a very nasty attitude.

I have started a large tattoo with the artist Drew. The first part has come out great. The shop is very nice and clean and Drew was very professional and did excellent work.

Ive already gotten a lot of compliments on the finished work. If I hadnt moved out of state, Id work with him on another. But I highly recommend him to anyone whos looking for something anime-related. Plus, hes super patient and dope to talk to.

Too expensive, my boyfriend and I went in to price matching tattoos and was told it would be $800 for both tattoos. I went to another parlor and we got them for $600. Pretty basic work for too much money.

I came here for Carlos, but everyone on staff is always very helpful and friendly and all of the artists are very skilled. Carlos took my vague idea for a tattoo and turned it into something better than I imagined.

My tat artist was Jeremy and he was very argumentative and the tattoo is not exactly where/how i wanted it. I wouldnt recommend him. Covid precautions were good tho.

Came in at 8:30pm to get a tattoo and they said it was too late, even tho they didnt check out what i wanted, and they dont even close until 9pm! I will never go there again and anyone who says theyre gonna go there i will tell them about my experience
