Amazing place! The owner, Dustin, and his girlfriend, Lauren, took care of my wife and I on 2 separate special pieces on each rib cage for us over the last two weeks. I popped in on a Thursday to find an artist and I was given Lauren’s information. I messaged her via Facebook as instructed and she got back to me right away and got us in 2 days later. Lauren immediately caught on to the style, the look, and the overall idea we were picturing and really did an amazing job at creating just the right fonts and design. If you want an artist who has that special eye and won’t do a piece until it looks just right then this is your place and an artist for you. Attention to detail and patience are superb! We can already tell she is going to go far as an artist in this game! Since there was two of us, Dustin offered to help so that we weren’t there all day for 2 pieces by one artist. I’m sure if you already are familiar with him and his work then it speaks for itself! A true scholar at his craft and it’s both humbling and admirable how much and how well he has shared his knowledge with Lauren. This is your phenomenal tattooing power couple!! This is a very clean and sanitary establishment and the prices for the quality of work were very fair. The method of after care they utilize here was new to me and it was beyond super easy. Healing was fast and the end results were spectacular. I have only ever gone to one tattoo establishment for my 10 tattoos over the years, so this was a total shot in the dark for me and out of my comfort zone to try a brand new place and a brand new artist(s) on a whim for tattoos #11 and #12 but these might just be my favorites. We have many more tattoo plans up and coming in the very near future and we most definitely are sticking with these two! Dustin, the owner, recently did a photorealistic Catwoman from the Batman series for me. Absolutely stunning piece. Kind, informative, and above all skilled beyond measure. Clean shop, friendly artists, and a welcoming atmosphere. I have also gotten two tattoos from a very talented newer artist who started as an apprentice here and is doing more work at the shop, Lauren. Lauren did a state of Ohio outline on my right calf and a Kanye West tattoo on my left calf. Excellent line work.I will die on this hill - Cardinal Ink and its owner and employees are the absolute best in the business.

I had work done here, by Shawn Skale. First of all, Shawn is an amazing person, over all - super personality, beautiful smile, and exceptionally friendly. So glad I now think of him as a personal friend!I was not at all surprised to find that Shawn won the First Place award at the Cleveland Tattoo Festival, this year, and can see him having incredible success in the future.My first degree is in art, and I can’t stress enough how extremely talented he is! Not only is he an amazing tattoo and digital artist, he is a consummate professional in every aspect of his work.I am currently an RN, and most qualified to say, his cleanliness and infection control protocols are as good as one would expect had he been a medical professional.His shading and line work is meticulous! ...and even though he prefers to work in blacks, when he does do color, his work is absolutely vibrant and realistic.Shawn loves to do, one of a kind, custom designs and has an array of amazing ones ready for someone choose from! Or, give him your ideas and he will come up with something you will be amazed with. I just had to discuss my ideas and he did his magic to exceed my vision. He gave me a piece I am delighted to wear for my entire life! He is all about customer satisfaction!He currently works out of Cardinal Ink, located in The Great Lakes Mall, which is a well maintained shop with an aesthetically relaxing atmosphere – definitely not a hole-in-the-wall, skid-mark of a place. You can immediately feel the welcoming vibe as soon as you walk through the door!But I can certainly see Shawn owning his own shop, sometime in the future. He is that good!I definitely recommended that anyone thinking about getting a custom piece, go see Shawn. His talent, the atmosphere he creates, everything about the experience – ethereal, really… He is the real deal!

I see Seth here. This tattoo shop is very clean. Its an all open layout, which might make some uncomfortable. Which is what youd expect from a traditional tattoo parlor. The artists Ive met are extremely professional and do fantastic work. I highly recommend any of their artists, but Seth is my favorite. Ill continue to get my work done here, exclusively.Depending on the artist, the style of music usually changes, but you can expect a punk rock type atmosphere.

Dustin is an incredible artist! He’s always on time, prepared, receptive to your ideas and has creative feedback to add his own, true to his word and manages his availability phenomenally so you’re never waiting or feeling rushed.His shop is absolutely beautiful, always clean, has a relaxing vibe. Comfortable chairs, good music, beautiful art everywhere which is important if you plan on sitting in the same spot for hours. I chose Dustin because I needed someone I could trust with a sleeve that went from my shoulder to my knuckles and his work is so clean, well thought out, and his technical skills are amazing. The fine details throughout in my enormous tattoo are absolutely FIRE. 🔥 couldn’t recommend him enough.From the perspective of someone who understands tattoos are an investment & is willing to pay for quality, his pricing is modest & fair for his skill level.He’s also very charitable and regularly uses his platform and reach to raise funds for the community & he’s had more than a handful of apprentaces over the last couple years who can be seen practicing art, keeping the shop spotless, watching him tattoo while he explains what hes doing and gives them challenges to grow their skills. Its always heartwarming seeing established artists investing their time into teaching new artists and he really cares about them! Long review, but he worked on my tattoo over a long period of time and we spent a lot of hours in that shop and I can honestly say hes a good dude and this is a good studio.Photos are at various stages, some were taken before the sleeve was finished (theres not still huge gaps in my sleeve lol)The hand tattoo pictured won 2nd in Hand Tattoos at the 2022 Cleveland Tattoo Convention!

I went in for a tattoo with Dustin today and could not be happier with how it came out! The shop is beautiful and everyone was very friendly. I appreciated him taking his time with details like placement and making sure the line work matched the style of my previous tattoos. I will definitely be going back for more in the future!

Greatest tattoo shop around. Super clean and gorgeous shop. Artists are super pleasant. I go to Dustin who happens to be my favorite tattoo artist ever, he always puts his own creative ideas into my tattoos and knows exactly what I want. Sydney the apprentice there does AMAZING work as well. I would highly recommend this shop and any of the artists there.

Dustin did an outstanding job on my tattoo! He took his time making sure it was perfect and exactly what I wanted… it turned out better than I imagined!! The salon has such a clean and comfortable vibe… I will definitely be back for any other tattoo needs!

Excellent customer service. I reached out to both Kaitlyn and Dustin with questions. Both artists responded to me within a day. Both were very helpful and I ended up getting a tattoo by Dustin. He is very professional and did an excellent job creating my tattoo. It turned out better than I ever imagined. The shop is clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend Cardinal Ink...no arrogance no egos.

Dustin at Cardinal Ink was recommended to me for a portrait tattoo I wanted in honor of my first pup that passed. I was picky about who to choose for such a meaningful tattoo and I’m SO glad I chose Dustin! I had a great experience at Cardinal Ink and my tattoo is even better than I could have hoped!!! I was impressed the second I walked into the shop. Its not a typical tattoo shop. It has really cool photography hanging on the walls and the tattoos they have done are displayed on a big TV screen. Its EXTREMELY clean and everything in there is brand new and high quality. You can tell they really took their time and made the shop beautiful. Dustin did my tattoo and he was awesome! He really took his time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and placed perfectly. It was only my second tattoo so he was great about giving me a minute to get used to the feel of it so Id be comfortable. Im really happy with the results and Ill definitely be coming back! I will recommend this shop to anyone I know wanting a tattoo.

I was a bit skeptical when I was walking through the mall and saw a tattoo shop but it also looked out of place! This is because it is Totally like walking through the Wall separating the muggle world from the magical world in Harry Potter. As soon as you walk through the door you enter into another world! Not only us this the cleanest tattoo shop Ive been in but it also has some of the greatest tattoo artists that I have had the pleasure of talking to. Real people who genuinely care for the ink they put on your body instead of how fast they can take your money and get you out of their shop! Their artwork is amazing! I actually love to show off my tattoos that I have received for Dustin at Cardinal Ink! I cant wait to be able to book my next tattoo! Book now because the wait list is over 3 months out usually and for a very good reason! Keep it up yall! You have a client for life!

The shop atmosphere is chill and comfortable. I currently wear my favorite piece of art done by Dustin the owner. He makes sure to tell you the pros and cons and gives advice on making the piece the best it could be. I always look forward to booking with Dustin. Its always an amazing experience.

My experience at cardinal ink was beyond great! The staff is very personal made me feel like not just another client. Dustin had great understanding of ideas that I had and put them together for a great tattoo. I will definitely be getting tattooed by Dustin here shortly again.

Im very pleased with the tattoo I got today from Dustin. I walked in just to see what his shop was about and to see when he would be able to fit me in for a small tattoo of the word Strength. I absolutely love being here! They treat you like family while maintaining the professional aspect as well. The artists are extremely talented. So many pieces of art on the wall and on display. Not like other tattoo shops where you pick your tat off of limited pages with customization frowned upon; here the imagination can run wild and the artists will help expand the vision!!

Really, really impressive experience here; Matt is absolutely incredible and the other tattoos I saw that day were also crushed - whole crew seems top notch but an extra special s/o to my boy Matt for blowing my expectations out of the water! Will likely be going here solely in the future, worth the 2 hour trip!

I started coming here around the beginning of summer 2022, and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. My personal experience with my Tatoo artist has been incredible. Justin Styndl is an exceptional artist who really puts his heart and soul into his work. The more you collaborate with this particular artist with your vision, the more he will blow your mind with his own spin on what you’re trying to get done. I ask for big projects, so he has to envision what I am saying and draw it out, then we discuss it and come up with a sweet piece. He doesn’t cease to impress with his unique originality. So if you have unique ideas, and don’t want to go with the same old “rose on the hand” “bouquet of flowers” or other rather generic small pieces, Justin is definitely your artist. Or if you want those, then he will kill that as well. I just can’t express how well he can put together a large unique piece, that can turn out DARK and BADASS or LIGHT and BEAUTIFUL. He’s going to do my chest after my right arm. That’s called “Trust”. Be blessed and good luck on your ink.

Great work. Owner/Artist Dustin Kaiser did a portrait on me that I am absolutely thrilled with. Artists are booked by appointment. Cardinal Ink is also a gallery that showcases the work of a number of local artists.

Amazing artists very talented and nice. The place itself has that great tattoo parlor vibe that anyone should experience while getting an epic piece of art put on their bodies. I personally will continue to get all of my artwork done by Cardinal Ink only.

I have been tattooed by many artists and been to many shops. But cardinal ink is hands down the best shop Ive been to. The artists are amazing and very professional. They make you feel very welcomed and comfortable. I plan on getting all my work down there now.

I made an appointment with Dustin who said he was the owner and put $100 dollars down to hold the appointment. I went in for my scheduled appointment on Feb. 27th @ noon and he did not have me on his schedule and was not prepared with a drawing or anything and actually said he had scheduled another appointment. I was given my $100 dollars back but I would not recommend Dustin @ Cardinal Ink. I cannot comment on the other artist at the tattoo studio because when my wife asked to set up an appointment with Kaitlin she was told by Dustin she was not taking any new bookings at this time, a week later she post on instagram taking new appointments.

Cardinal Ink is a great tattoo shop. It is comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and clean. Dustins attention to detail and aptitude in his work really shows! Definitely will be back soon!

I had communication issues with an artist which im not going to say because im not trying to run someones name through the dirt but i went with a different artist which made it a point to make the tattoos hurt so bad an i have had many many tattoos. So i chalked it up to being maybe he mad a mistake. So i went in next time again and he did it again. Smirking an thinking its funny. They made it a difficult time. Now im dealing with lots of pain an discomfort. I feel disrespcted in a way. I try to be friendly an cool with everyone an to feel this way. I dont think if i will be going back.

Stood at the front counter for 5 minutes talking to my son and was not acknowledged. This guy just sat there on his phone and did not say a word to us so we left.
