Mission Street Tattoo

I went for Friday the 13 tattoo flash sale. I got 3 tattoos done with in 17 mins start to finish. I waited in line also so totally was 4 hours total. Was great experience and I will be back to get my next one done. Amber Kirby did my tattoos, she was super nice and helped me find the best placement for what I had in mind.

I absolutely LOVE my tattoo!! Tim Roberts did an incredible job wrangling the ideas I was bouncing around and creating a beautiful work of art. I am still surprised at how quickly it was done with how beautiful and detailed it is, a true master of his art. So excited to show off this bouquet of mine & my husbands birth flowers! Will definitely be returning for more!Thanks Tim!!

Mission Street is amazing!! My family and I drove 5 hours to get Get What You Get tattoos. The shop was very clean and organized. The artists were all amazing; they were so talented and went above and beyond to make this such a wonderful experience!! Highly recommend, if I lived closer I would be there so often getting ink.

I had been here in the past for a flash tattoo event but since then they had changed a lot and moved locations. I was happy to have Hannah do my newest tattoo from there and I really want to come back for a GWYG tattoo

I recently visited to get a Harry Potter get what you get tattoo. The size and full color of the design made it well worth the money. I had amber as an artist she did fantastic work and worked with me the whole time when it came to placement and color choices. She made sure everything was exactly what I wanted. Overall the shop was very clean and I love the open concept of the entire shop. I will definitely be back soon

I’ve gotten a few tattoos here and they are amazing. Most recently I’ve been tattooed by Charlie and Butch. Both are excellent at what they do, and take the time to make sure it’s perfect. My daughter even came over from Grand Rapids and we had Mother Daughter tattoo day. When we left, she said that everyone was so nice and made her feel comfortable. The other tattoo shops she’d been to before were the complete opposite. She’ll definitely be back too. I completely agreed with her. Everyone there is great. I feel welcome there. I’ll be scheduling another one soon. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mission Street Tattoo to anyone. They will work with you to set you up with the perfect artist to get what you want. Love them and can’t wait for my next ink!!

THIS PLACE IS SO AWESOME! My tattoo artist was Amber, and she was AMAZING! I so recommend getting her!! I was so nervous to get a tattoo but everyone there was so nice and it was such a great experience. I got a fine line tattoo and the details were fire! I cannot wait to go there again :)

I took myself and my daughter there for some mother daughter time and we both got the Harry Potter GWYG tattoos, our artist Bryan Michael took. Such great care of both of us. The artwork was amazing, the building is so beautiful and clean, the artists are all very professional. I would rate this place 10000 out of 10000, . Well worth my 2 hour drive! I have booked appointments with Charlee and I absolutely love her work 💕I have gotten 3 tattoos in the last 6 months in this shop. Will continue to come back!I love the GWYG machines and all the options they have to offer.

My husband and I went on an adventure...a nearly 10 hour round trip adventure to visit this shop and experience the get what you get tattoos. The shop was welcoming, very clean, and easy to find from the road with plenty of parking. The shop is also located near many restaurants, so we were easily able to find somewhere to eat beforehand. The tattoos were as advertised and I had a great experience! I am very happy with how my piece turned out. For $150 flash art out of a machine, I had low expectations- but they really delivered!! It was a really fun experience and worth the trip for us. They even gave us little goodie bags to take home with some candy, care instructions, and soap. I enjoyed my experience and felt it was well worth the money spent.

Being greeted by everyone as I walk in, setting up an appointment for new ink is supper easy! I have been going here for about 1 or 2 years now and love everything Ive gotten(7 in total) heals wonderful and looks amazing even after a year still looks like I got it yesterday. Have told many family members and friends to go and they have the same results. Love going there and getting new ink and having one of a kind tattoos made up by Butch! Great place for a tattoo! Excellent artists and staff!I have been there now 4 times and very soon my 5th for Butch to finish my tattoo. I have plenty of tattoos from all over shops in Michigan even 1 from a shop in Washington State and this shop is by far the best I have ever been too. Butch has done all my work since I have started going here and his artwork, his style is absolutely amazing! I dont feel like an outsider in this shop I can be myself and not hide who I am they make you feel very welcome and conversations have been some of the best Ive had. I drive from Bridgeport to Mt. Pleasant just to go here. Do not hesitate going here absolutely some of the best misfits youll ever meet!

Just did my first tap out session with Bryan!! It was great!! The atmosphere was amazing. I was very relaxed, and I’m already planning my next visit!! Bryan was fantastic, he was gentle, and steady with how he worked his way along my tattoo. (He started working on fixing a terrible tattoo!!) I’m definitely coming back so we can make more progress on my sleeve!!

I went in for addiction awareness and recovery $20 tattoos. Very nice small selection to choose from, got in and out quicker than I thought I would. I got 2 and they still look great! Tim did mine and I love them so much! Definitely recommend their salon for future tattoos!

We had three people walk in to do get what you get tattoos, and two piercings. We were welcomed, and the artists were all amazing! We ended up split between Solomon (who is new, but so good!), and Jeremy! I got tattooed by Jeremy and I have to admit that hes my favorite artist Ive had so far that has done color! Im so excited to see how Barrel heals with the awesome shading he did!I love the vibe of the whole shop and everyone there! We will be coming back for sure!!

Mission Street tattoo is the place to go!! Charlee is amazing at what she does! Charlee was very kind and light handed! She is amazing at fine line work! The way she designed my tattoo and last minute added something for me was amazing!

Booked my first ever appointment here in March of 24. Got a supernatural themed GWYG tattoo. It was super exciting and I loved the experience. Tim was amazing to work with. Everyone seemed very friendly and the atmosphere was great!

Went in to get my daith and tragus redone today and had the pleasure of having Amber K. as my artist. She was very friendly and did a great job, virtually painless. Even saved me money by working with the old hole on tragus and not having to re-pierce. Amazing experience overall! Thanks again Amber!

Went in for the most recent Friday the 13th event and had a blast. Was first in line to get tattooed and waited four hours out in the rain and cold. (I was very committed)Talked to a lot of the shop employees, had food trucks set up for us and really made the experience worth it. I’ve even looked into the other artists work and can’t wait to go back for more. The three tattoos I got that day were awesome and now I have a great memory attached to them 🖤 Can’t wait to go back in and maybe try out some get what you get machines!

I just recently came in for a tattoo that Ive been wanting to get for my grandma who has passed away.. a lilac (she loved them) with the name I called her.. in her handwriting..The tattoo was better than I ever thought it would be and those who work their were honestly very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable.. considering it was my first time in and I had no one else to come with me to keep me me company. Ill be returning for my next tattoo for sure.

I got a couple of tattoos done by Charlie the other day and I could not be happier! She made my exact vision come to life for the dainty look I wanted, and KILLED her first ever behind the ear tattoo! The entire staff was incredible and super chill and fun to talk to. My mom and I were walk-ins and we had the best experience! Faith was our artist and I cant say enough about how great she is. She is very sweet, friendly, and our tattoos turned out great. It was my moms first tattoo and we used one of Faiths original design of a frog on a mushroom and my mom loved it. I got a dragon and it turned out so good. The salon has the best atmosphere and we will definitely be back here for more!

My wife and I drove 4 hours from Ohio to get tattoos here and it was definitely worth the drive. The staff was all very kind and professional with a relaxing environment. We got our tattoos done by Kyla who everybody should go and see. Her work was perfect and we couldn’t be happier. She’s an excellent artist and we will definitely be making the drive again soon to get more work done by her!

Let me tell you about Marcy. She is a one of a kind artist. Anime and games? Shes got you. She takes the time to learn what exactly your looking for and edits them perfectly. All that is asked is a deposit (on large tattoos especially since she hand draws them up) and she will send you a draw up. Anything you want changed or anything added? Easily done with her. I have over seven tattoos with her. And I will always go back to her. She is worth every single penny!

I scheduled an appointment for a get what you get tattoo with Bryan. I decided to go with floral, because I really liked his florals I saw online. I got a daffodil and it came out way better than I couldve imagined! I will definitely be back and hope to work with Bryan again soon!

I got my snake bites done a few weeks ago and I’m happy that I have my dream piercing. The lady who did my piercings was very patient and kind but the reason why my rating is in the middle is because my piercings are not completely even. Don’t get me wrong I love the piercings and I’m grateful for them I just was slightly disappointed they did not turn out how they looked when I check the marker dots.

I cant say enough about this place! I have received 2 tattoos so far from them. I will be back to have some custom pieces done. I love the GWYG tattoo machines as well! No disappointments here, and the environment is very clean and friendly! Extremely chill. Would recommend anyone to check them out, you wont regret it!

This is our third time driving down from Roscommon, MI to do the GWYG tattoos. Our tattoos have been amazing. We were walk-ins every time. Staff was extremely friendly and great to work with. The owner takes pride in her shop and cares about her clients and artists. Kyla did all 3 of my tattoos and is absolutely amazing for an apprentice. Marceline did my husbands she is extremely talented as well. All of the artists are friendly and extremely talented. Prices were great. It has been our weekly date night. We will be back. This is the only shop we will go to from now on..

Ive went here three times and have gotten three GWYG tattoos and I love every single one of them. Everybody is so easy going there and very nice. I feel like they really enjoy their work. My husband has gotten two GWYG tattoos and we have brought a couple friends to get tattoos as well. Im more than willing to make the hour trip to go there as a repeat customer. Ive been thinking of getting some custom work done there too in the future.

My 4yr old daughter has been wanting her ears pierced for months. I took her last week to get them done and Kylee was great with her. The artist was amazing! Very nice guy! I think his name was george??The tattoo turned out phenomenal!However, the lady working the check in counter could use a little lesson in hospitality. Definitely not impressed with her demeanor given the fact we have never been there before. It felt like we were bothering her with questions. Overall, they did some nice artwork!

Yes the lines are long they dont call it the largest tattoo event in michigan for nothing. All of the employees are nice, friendly willing to have a good time while they tattoo. Will definitely recommend mission Street tattoo to all of my family and friends. 10/10

My 7 year old daughter and I (Brianna Stratton) went here for their Friday the 13th Event. My daughter got her ears pierced and I got my belly button (naval) pierced along with getting a tattoo. I absolutely love this place. The staff were awesome and before we got our piercings done, she was so patient and thoroughly explained what she was doing as she was doing the piercings. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely will be going back!

I had Jeremy during the Friday the 13th event (10/13/2023) and he was beyond amazing! Igot a Michael Myers tattoo since Ive wanted one for years of him and Jeremy did amazing! He was awesome to talk to as well and is overall just an amazing soul from the time I had with him. I definitely recommend him and mission street tattoo and definitely will be back to have him do more work in the future.

If i had the choice too leave no star i would.Well looking for a shop too get some work done i was told not too come here.Due too them treating there artist poorly and the artist being trained by piercers.Thankfully the person who has been doing my tattoos the past couple of years has moved back to town and he does amazing work and is always so nice.

Always a go-to tattoo shop! Everything on both my arms has been done by various artists here, and I have no complaints. Even when I did need a touch up, the owners are extremely sweet and understanding and didn’t hesitate to set up a touch up session for me. Their GWYG machines are really fun and refreshing, their artists are all kind and genuinely care about doing their best, and overall I’ve loved every single tattoo I’ve gotten from here— big and small. The prices are reasonable, especially for the service that you get. I should also mention, they are VERY LGBTQ+ friendly and always make me extremely comfortable whenever I’m there. This place is seriously great! :)

There are some good tattoo artists there dont get me wrong. But first of the all the owner (Chris) is an ABSOLUTE creep and would not stop talking about sex. On top of that they are an apprentice tattoo shop which they dont tell you. So please keep that in mind before you spend hundreds of dollars on a tattoo thats not very good quality.

Salon was very clean all the artists were very kind! i was talked to as soon as i walked in to make an appointment, they were very friendly and welcoming, and they communicated what i wanted very well. the tattoo itself looks great and was a great price!

Beware if you’re planning to make the drive to come here.A friend and I drove a long way to do a get what you get tattoo. We booked an appointment because that’s what they advised if we didn’t want to wait as a walk-in. When I got there, the artist I booked with was running, according to management, 1.5 hours behind. The shop told us something happened earlier in the day to cause that, but apparently they didn’t think to call the people booked to let them know there would be a delay. We tried to get our deposit back, but they refused to, so I was pretty much forced to get tattooed or lose money. They told us that they would give us the first available artists, which they did not. They let 6 walk-ins go before us. I did not start getting tattooed until 3 hours after the booked time. My friend did not even have time to get tattooed, but they still charged her for her get what you get spin.The artist, Charlee, did not know how to communicate with clients and would make passive aggressive comments like “oh I don’t like that color” or “hmm idk” whenever I would answer the questions she asked about details of the tattoo. The tattoo turned out okay, but she rushed through it and now my tattoo is infected. I have over 20 tattoos and not once have I never gotten an infection.I’m not sure if it was an off day, but we are definitely NEVER coming back. Waste of gas money and time.EDIT TO RESPOND TO THEIR REPLY:I kept my name out of this because you have a history of being unprofessional and going after people on their personal social media who leave poor reviews.When booking, you did not insist to not book on the weekend, that’s your first lie. I asked if there would be availability for me and a friend and you said something along the lines of “we have some later in the day but I would book because walk-ins can take a while.”You never offered me free aftercare, so that’s another lie.You never told my friend you didn’t do an upcharge, and when she didn’t have time to get tattooed you said “well at least you got stabbed” like that means anything.I never said we wanted only Charlee. I complimented her work, yes, but were open to whoever was available next.Also, my friend did not decline to get tattooed by Tim, he refused to tattoo her.We talked to the other people in the shop, they told us they were walk-ins… so nice try lolWhen I booked I messaged to ask if it was okay for 2 people for an hour and a half. You never responded. Regardless, I should have been informed that my booked time would be over 2 hours late.Also my tattoo colors turned out spotty and not to the line, so clearly it was rushed :)Making up things to make yourself look better is classless and unprofessional. YIKES

I had an excellent experience getting matching tattoos here with my girlfriend. Getting ahold of them is super easy over social media, so making an appointment or just getting price comparisons isnt difficult. They had an issue with scheduling and the appointment got delayed an hour, but it worked out and we had enough time to get food locally. They charged a fair $150/hour and it took my artist one hour to do a semi-intricate feather; supposedly shed only been tattooing for 8 months! Im very happy with how my tattoo turned out and I enjoyed the time I spent there

The girls there were so sweet and so fun for the small period I was there too get my left nostril pierced. They were more than accommodating too my specifications for my piercing without extra charge or even complaint! Will be going back too test out one of their gumball machine tattoos ^-^

This tattoo place doesn’t even deserve a one star. Based on the customer service and the inability of the artist what was chosen for us, to carry out the excellence that we were asking for.Marceline did not want to continue improving the design and we evenoffered her another down deposit. The tattoo design she created was not readable. Tattoo are meant to be permit and are costly to have removed, So absolutely we expected design to done well.Once the artist refused to continue improving our design. The owner, which was extremely rude, told us to get out of her shop! We did nothing wrong and calmly communicated with them. We were not given a refund back nor were they willing to provide a file for the design. We basically were expected to pay them for nothing.our whole purpose coming into this shop was patronize their business and get more tattoos work done, but instead we were disrespected and threatened by the owner and her husband which is the co- owner.VISIT THEIR COMPETITORS AND SEE WHAT TYPE OF WORK THEY PROVIDE FIRST. YOU MAY REGRET ATTEMPTING TO WORK WITH THEM.

I posted before back in April when I got my chest tattoo done at the old location. This time I wanted a spur of the moment tattoo. Kyla did an amazing job. Clean lines and she did what I asked her to.I also like the flow of the new shops location too. My sister and I came in and saw Kyla for a variety of tattoos and she did a great job on all of them! My constellation freckles are the perfect color and placement, our hearts turned out perfect, and my sisters white music note is so clean! We walked in and didnt wait long at all before Kyla was ready for us. We will definitely be back in the future! Quick, clean and great work all around and with a fun atmosphere too!

They were so kind!! They were so professional and timely even though I was a walk in very close to their closing!The work they did on my tattoo was absolutely amazing and incredible!!Sitting in the chair was an amazing experience. They cared about my comfort and even changed certain aspects of the original 50 dollar design just to make it fit my body better and even added aspects to modify the design to fit me better. The best part was I barely felt anything and when I did it was all sensitive and more notablely painful areas. And each time it was going to a sensitive location I was asked if I was doing okay and if I was alright. They were so caring about the work they were doingEven when my friend was unable get a piercing done they took the time to check up in them regularly and ensure the safety of my friend. I was very displeased about my two times going in! The first time I was a walk in and they said they had time. Well they did not. My first artist had to leave which I understand. The second artist I was going to use took forever. I waited 2 hours combined. I left twice and came back at the time I was told. Now last night I called in about 4 and they told me to be there around 7:30. I got there 15 minutes early and they told me she was running half an hour behind. Okay so I should be in a chair by about 8ish. Well at 8:15 she was still tattooing the customer before me. So I walked out. Very unhappy with the service. Will not give them another chance!

Me and my roommate initially went for her to go get a tattoo but I was quickly convinced to get something for myself as well. The person who did my piercing was named Seth i’m pretty sure and he was one of the nicest people i’ve ever met and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed!! This place is great and everyone is so nice! 10/10 would recommend!

We had a tattoo that we wanted designed with the words “From God” and the tattoo artist (Marceline) created an image that was difficult to read. Because this tattoo was going to be done on the inside part of my biceps, it was important that it was completely legible - which the design was not.When I explained this to the artist she decided she no longer wanted to complete the drawing. My wife and I decided to visit the shop and converse with the owner in regards to this matter and she was completely irate. Instead of being civil and respectful she decided to call her husband Chris.She said that he was a co- owner and he would “handle us”! We are Christians, we love God and people from all walks of life, but we were completely disrespected and even threatened at their facility! We felt as though the tattoo itself, being attached to our beliefs, was the nature of their aggression.My wife and I left the shop to avoid conflict with Mission Street Tattoo. 30 mins later we called and Chris answered the phone. He threatened us and said that if we want a “war we can get it”, called me a punk and said that I better go to “church”, and that our business is not welcome there!I told Chris that we at the bare minimum wanted to get a copy of the design that artist made for us ( that I paid for completely) and he refused us that right. We were threatened and mistreated because we wanted a Christian based tattoo.There are other tattoo shops in the area that provide great customer service. No matter the nature of you tattoo, I would strongly suggest visiting other tattoo parlors in the area. Not only are they manipulative and disrespectful to their customers, they also lack professionalism. The building is extremely clean and neat (they have been opened for only about 4 months), but the management does not resemble the decor..The other artist that work their maybe great at what they do; however, we experienced poor customer service like I’ve only seen on viral videos. I hope that who ever is reading this review would proceed with caution when considering where to get their next tattoo….Tattoos are meaningful and costly to get removed.

Homie was super happy about doing my Tri-Star I dropped $100 for an appointment I was told I was going to get skethes to approve of. never got sketches, I got a text stating that they cancelled my appointment and the refund for my money. When I called to inquire why my appointment was canceled I got no answer. This was super rude and unprofessional, I definitely would look elsewhere for ink

Steals other shops custom hand drawn designs and deletes the original artists watermark and reposts it selling the designs for double the price. They even copied the post all the way down to the caption. I don’t know about you but I definitely wouldn’t want to get tattooed by a shop who can’t even draw their own themed flash designs…

Super friendly owners I especially like their get what you get system where you choose $50, $75, $100 random tattoos from gum ball machines. My wife and I did 2 each back to back. And my artist tory was really friendly did great work and was informational on his technique as well as encouraging with giving me good pointers cuz Ive tried tattooing myself. Ill probably be back once a week to do the you get what you get tats lol the wife and I will most certainly be returning for more! 👏👍🤙🤘

Saw advertisements about this place, and the “get what you get” tattoos looked really cool. I thought about trying it, but the way the owner reacts to a negative review puts a bad taste in my mouth. If I blasted a client all over my work and personal social media pages every time they criticized me, I’d be fired so fast and likely blacklisted from any other kind of customer service job…It’s just so childish and unprofessional.No artist is going to produce 100% perfect art all the time, and that’s completely okay. But I’d much rather get ink from an artist that handles bad days with grace than one who lacks the confidence to roll with the punches. I can’t trust someone to sit with me for hours punching needles in my skin if I can plainly see how easily unhinged their behavior can become.There are so many good tattoo shops in Mt Pleasant, y’all. Places that actually bothered to get licensed. Skip this place until the staff learns to grow up.
