I havent been to Muncie Mall in over a decade, and was not hopeful when I stepped inside. But Claires was a bright spot in my visit, and the young woman working there has a bright future. I would guess she is underappreciated, and underpaid. She greeted us as we walked in, directed us to what we were looking for, plus made awesome suggestions we hadnt considered. She made me want to spend more time and money in the store. And considering the dreadful state of the rest of the mall, this is a real accomplishment.
My daughter bought an keychain on sale. It did not ring up for the sale price. We noticed it on the receipt before leaving the store. When they tried to refund the item it only refunded the sale amount. We were out $10 for an item we didn’t get. When I asked for the item back because I paid for it they said I could not have it because that was stealing. When actually they charged me for an item I did not get. So they stole from me. The manager could not do anything and offered to sell it to me at a discounted price again. Terrible customer service and stole my money from me. Would not recommend purchasing from them or having them do any type of piercing. The worker had no idea how to pierce my daughter’s ear. Will try my best to avoid going back which shouldn’t be hard because the mall will be closed down soon.
Buy 3 get 3 free sale. The little girl working the register was very friendly and helpful despite the fact that I came in close to closing time.
I had the pleasure of having Rianna as my cashier and she was the kindest person. Very sweet and welcoming. Helped me sign up for a Claire’s account and told me about the point system and discounts. :) highly recommend
I went into the store last night to purchase a small item that I needed for my job at a neighboring store. The lady working (who I believe may be the manager) proceeded to chastise me during the time she was ringing up my purchase. Apparently, the sales that my store sends to her are digging my grave because she MUST sell $30 to every customer that walks through the door. And the employees in my store running over to pick up some bobby pins or a hair tie are killing my sales. It also, apparently, really victimizes her when we send customers over to purchase a product that we do not carry because those customers only spend $6. We will never be sending anyone over to this store again. Nor will I be shopping there myself. If she doesnt want the $6 each of those customers spend in the store, well send those customers to someone who appreciates the referral. It was such a terrible experience and I have never been made to feel bad for actually making a purchase in a store before. So sorry that I ruined your life by spending money!
My granddaughter had the best time picking out a few things for her birthday. The sales associates were so kind & helpful.
I just got my 5 months old babys ears pierced here. Whitney was great. She took me through it and explained everything. I was really scared, but she went into great detail about the piercings. My experience was great. Thank you!
I go there a lot a when i do i get a lot of neat stuff. I did get my ears pierced and i was very happy cause it didnt hurt, then i went and got my second one and that one hurt, but it was worth it although i took the earrings out too soon and those holes are closed. I am now thinking about getting my right second piercing redone instead of doing both. If i do it will be when we go to Muncie or on my birthday which is Dec. 12 .
But 3 get 3 free! Who can pass up a deal like that? The only problem was limiting myself to 6 total items. The store was clean and the clerk was very friendly.
My first three experiences was great, this one was also, its just that my baby girl ears were pierced WRONG. Her right ear earring is in the center and the left ear earring is to the edge and it veryyyy ugly, workers should have to be licensed in order to do piercings. So now my baby jus will be without earrings for a long time. HORRIBLE
This is my wifes review. The Icing store in the Muncie mall is obnoxious. They are so pushy with sales, and they make you feel awful for not buying extra things. The pressure to buy is way over the top. I try to avoid going in here, just so I wont be bombarded.
I went here to buy hoops for one of my school dances. The cashier tried to make me buy more and I wouldn’t. First she told me I was the worst sale of the day, then said “You know what they say, the bigger the hoop the bigger the hoe”. I haven’t been back since.
Do not take your children to get piercings at one of these type of places.The piercing guns cause a blunt force trauma that causes the wound to take a really long time to heal if it dose actually heal.Take your child to a piercing studio for the health and safety of your child.
Cant keep my 8 year old out of this store! What a great selection. And love the buy 3 get 3 deal!

Went to return earrings that were never worn and the lady that looks like a Holly from the Hallmark channel treated me terribly and made the experience terrible. Will never be giving them my service again,

UPDATE: Want to thank the manager Nina for getting the overcharge fixed. Stopped by today and explained what happened and the run around trying to get it corrected, with in seconds she had it corrected and refund issued. I do understand accidents happen, and electronics sometimes do weird unexplainable things. Just unfortunate, it was so difficult to resolve, but it was, and I appreciate Nina getting it corrected so fast. Lord knows my grandaughter loves the store and all the wonderful staff who are so very kind to her. Thank you, Nina
