Aces High Tattoo

Brock created beautiful couple’s tattoos for us while in town for our vow renewal. Beautiful work, clean, sterile atmosphere, fun conversation. Didn’t disappoint. Will be back when we visit Myrtle Beach next year for more art.

Been to Jeff twice now and I am absolutely in love with both of my pieces. He does an amazing job at keeping you in good spirt and making sure you are more than satisfied with the finished result. Overall the studio is far more welcoming and accommodating to everyone and I would highly recommend Jeff and aces high as a whole to anyone who asks.

Awesome place for tats, my friends came in for their first tattoos and did an amazing job comforting and recommending ideas to them. The only thing is they don’t recommend fine line tattoos and typically do larger options. Great location in myrtle beach. 30 years experience, awesome vibe.

What a breath of fresh air. The staff was so welcoming and patient with my sister and I. We both were able to get are artwork done without an apt. My sister has really bad anxiety speaking her mind and Jeff felt that instantly and was very patient with her. Jake was my artist and he knew how important my work was to me bc it was for a friend who had just passed. He just let me be and when i was about to cry, he looks at me and said, its okay to let it out you know? That spoke volumes to me. Our artwork is everything we could have asked for and so much more. First off i want to say that Brian did an AMAZING job on our tattoos! He was definitely someone who i’d go back to if I was ever in the area again; My wife and I were very satisfied with our tattoos and how they turned out and an artist like him is super rare to find. He was very friendly and held amazing conversation as we got it done and even gave great feedback/insight as to how clients can connect to him afterwards! i definitely recommend that anyone in the area definitely go and check out Aces and get some work done. I’ve gotten 3 tattoos from here, I’ve loved every single one! Each a different artist, the first one was Ro, he was super nice, he is no longer working there I believe, second was Sam! He did a snake on my arm and he was hilarious and so fun to talk to and my third one was done by Adia, which was a traditional flower on my forearm and she was beyond sweet and amazing, drew up the tattoo to fit within my odd spacing to fill my sleeve!I’d recommend any of them! I love aces high!

I had an amazing experience at Aces High last night. I lost my French bulldog three weeks ago and was wanting to get his paw tattooed on my wrist for my wedding in October. Aces High was extremely helpful and compassionate and did everything they could to help me! The front desk girl, Jordan I believe her name was, was so sweet and helped me so much and set me up with an artist, Jake, who took so much care with the picture I showed him and really did an amazing job! I walked into Aces High for some info and walked out with my baby’s paw beautifully memorialized on my wrist to have with me always ♥️

My whole family and I have been going to Brock for a few years now. His work speaks for itself but his latest with me is absolutely insane. Dude took my idea and exceeded all of my expectations. The guy invests in his clients and makes sure you leave with the desired result. Brock I’ll be back for round two in a couple months!!

I went on my 18th birthday to get a matching tattoo with my sister and we were done by Brian Colum Rush and he was amazing!! Was such an amazing person and the work looks perfect! Would drive 5 hours to get another one. We both loved him!!

We saw the shop and the “walk ins” welcome after visiting a few of the others on the strip and all I can say is the staff was awesome and Sam was AMAZING and made us comfortable and we felt very welcome there!! Highly recommend Sam for any of your tattoo needs!

Sam did an amazing job! He spent a long time making sure the design was exactly right. The ink is crisp and the design is even more detailed than I would’ve thought possible for the size. He was very efficient with the process and I’m overall really happy with the result.

I have been going here for many years now, do yourself a favor and go support the best shop around and experience the difference for yourself. The majority of my work has been done here and there is rarely a time I go out I dont get asked who my artist is or where I get my ink from and I always refer them here. I am heavily tatted and every time I sit in the chair for an appointment here theres not a doubt what will come out is a true work of art. Been there twice now. Brock is an amazing artist with amazingly clean line work. Did mine and my husbands tattoos a month ago, along with mine and my moms tattoos on Monday. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will be back.

I came in for 2 tattoos and it was first time and it was absolutely amazing. the service was fast and great. brian did my tattoos and he was a really cool dude and a great tattoo artist! we talked the whole time and was very nice! i would definitely come here again!

I love love love this tattoo shop…I’ve been twice for different Pokemon tats. Once April 19,2023 and today April 20, 2024. Let me add I live in NC, so the drive was worth it. Both times my tattoo artist was Brock. He is an amazing tattoo artist and I highly recommend him, especially if you’re into Pokemon. He did my Ivysaur on my left arm and Jigglepuff on my right hand. I forgot to take a picture of my Jigglypuff before he covered it up, but just know it’s nice, but I will definitely put a pic of my Ivysaur below.

This is hands down the best places I’ve gotten a tattoo! Everyone there was super friendly and so down to earth. I went there with some ideas and Sam literally put together exactly what I was envisioning! I am beyond in love with my newest tattoo! Sam was super professional and made me feel at ease the entire time! My husband got a tattoo at the same time as me and Brock made sure to put together something my hubby would love! I loved how clean and nice everyone was! They were even able to schedule my husband and My tattoo at the same time which was so convenient! We will totally be back for more ink!

I went here just to get a quote and see if they could fit my fiancé and I, in on Thursday while on vacation. I highly recommend going to this studio. My family and I went in as a walk-in for my birthday recently. The shop got us in there swiftly, and were super professional throughout the whole process. Sam did all three of our tattoos, and we were all very pleased. He’s a very kind and down to earth guy. My friend and I were on a short weekend trip and decided we wanted small tattoos. We were able to go in on Sunday evening and book appointments with Brock for the next evening. Everyone in the shop was so friendly. Brock did both of our tattoos and we’re both more than happy with them. I even showed him an old tattoo on my other arm and mentioned not being 100% happy with it and without missing a beat he already had a suggestion on how to fix it. Highly recommend!

My husband and I wanted to get tattoos while on vacation! We came in on a Tuesday to make an appointment for Friday, and to give the idea of what we wanted! My husband had Brock and I had Adia! My tattoo that Aria did was beautiful and so much better then I could imagine!! My husband loved the work that Brock did!! We will definitely be coming back! Aces High is the best they are CLEAN, COMFORTABLE and have talented and friendly staff! I highly recommend them to anyone whether you are just wanting a tattoo just because or wanting a personal and meaningful memory.In August 2017 I had to make the hardest decision of my life and that was to part with my Anatolian shepherd of 12 1/2 years. I knew that I wanted her with me forever so I chose to start looking for someone who could make that happen for me based on a favorite picture of her and it had to be perfect from her eye color right down to the way she held her one ear from the time she was a puppy which made her unique from all the rest.After visiting three studios and leaving feeling like I wasn’t completely satisfied with the way my tattoo would turn out versus the picture I wanted it done from I was losing hope and had myself convinced that it would be a similar dog like the Anatolian breed but it wouldn’t be my Bayleah-Mya and that wasn’t good enough!A few weeks later I was referred to Brock at Aces High and she told me if anyone could do it Brock would be the one. I drove to MB to meet him and show him the photo I wanted to use and within minutes he had her drawn up from my photo and there she was just perfect the Bayleah-Mya I always had known and loved so much from the day I rescued her.Brock is awesome he made my dream come true and I am so happy that she is with me everywhere I go and I can show her off and Brocks work anytime. I will definitely be back to have more work done. (Sorry it took me a year to post this review but hopefully it was worth the wait!) Yesterday I walked into Aces High and was able to get a same day forearm tattoo. My artist, Jake Hein, was absolutely incredible and the rest of the staff was great as well. Jake designed an awesome forearm tattoo for me based on a couple other tattoos I showed him. Jake really ran with the idea and blew me out of the water with the end-result. It was better than anything I could have imagined and I think youd be hard pressed to find another tattoo artist with as much artistic creativity as Jake. His line work and shading skills are second to none. I firmly believe he is one of the best tattoo artists out there, and I dont mean just in the area. Thanks again Jake, hope to see you if I am ever in the area again! Tattoos are something where you usually get what you pay for, but the picture of Jakes tattoo speaks for itself and pricing was extremely reasonable in my opinion.

We came in on our last day on vacation looking for a tattoo shop available for walk ins. Me and my sister called 10 minutes after they opened for a walk in and they were very friendly and welcoming! We walked in and was met with a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere! Shaun and Jeff greeted us and got us in and out with 3 small tattoos within the hour! Would highly recommend! Very clean and professional shop. I did not want a cookie cutter phoenix tattoo like everyone else has. AG did an awesome job of taking the concept in my mind and bringing it to life on my skin. His suggestions helped me with choosing the best font for the wording and the word placement. His artistic skill was top notch. Will definitely get my next tat by AG!

I love this place. The people are absolutely wonderful. Ive only had work by 2 of the artists, Sammy & AG. The shop is clean. You should know its CASH ONLY but they have an ATM. Check them out. Tell them Chicago referred you. They will NOT disappointed. The watercolor sea turtle was done by AG.

This is my updated review, a year ago I reviewed this place for another 5 stars!I have seen Brock for 3 of my 5 tattoos now, 2 larger and 1 smaller. Each experience has been fantastic! He is a straight shooter who gets genuinely excited to make your ideas come to life with his art. My socially awkward self appreciates his ability to actively listen and reproduce what I am thinking. He has the lightest hand of the 3 tat artists i have worked with.Aces High is a clean, well managed facility with great customer service! The prices are higher than some others in the area but they have the best quality and you get what you pay for! Its high quality in ALL areas. It is the only place I will go.

I walked into to this shop after driving 5 hours from Atlanta, to end up having an artist from another shop cancel my birthday tattoo at the last minute. Brian got me in right away, consulted with me down to the very last detail for my ideal tattoo, and went above/beyond to make me feel relaxed during the process. I’m so happy the other artist canceled on me because I would’ve never met Brian! I would definitely make the 5 hour trip again, but only to go to Ace of Spades!

I am so in love with Chucks work. Ive had a single session with him so far and his work is absolutely phenomenal. Brock did matching tattoos for my bestfriend and I while we were in South Carolina on vacation. The tattoos turned out even better than we had hoped!! He was honest and very easy to work with. Aces High is very professional and friendly. The shop is clean and has a lot of great artists with great vibes. My best friend and I came in as walk ins and they took us back immediately and gave us not just what we asked for, but even better! I would like to say that Sam specifically was awesome! My friend and I went In to get a quote on a small 4 inch tattoo. Spoke with Brian.We have gotten several while on beach trips. So we’re aware of the more expensive pricing. He quoted an extremely high price. When we declined his offer. He was extremely rude to us as we walked out and told us we would not find it any cheaper in their area. Went next door and got the same tattoo for $60 cheaper.

Got a cute small piece done on my arm while on vacation here and it came out great! Sam was my artist and he was absolutely incredible. All the staff was very friendly and personable. Everything was very clean and I would definitely come back here my next time at Myrtle Beach!

Went in for a 4” tattoo years ago. Got quoted for an expensive tattoo because of ink prices and blah blah blah..The guy named Brian was okay but also rude at the same time..he has a mentality of “MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY” lol. Not cool, especially dealing with customers..And yes there are OTHER TATTOO SHOPS in walking distance THAT ARE CHEAPER AND NICER Have a blessed day.

Stopped in at Aces High to be a walk-in but what I wanted to get was so elaborate that I had to make an appointment. Sam was my artist and fit me in the next weekend. When I walked in the door Sam had a rough draft of what I wanted and tweaked it to fit my vision. The tattoo itself only took 3-4 hours with a brake or two in between. Hands down the best tat I have so far. I will be going back very soon for some more ink.

On vacation with my son. First shop we walked into (on a long road full of tattoo shops). The girl behind the counter couldnt have been any more friendly. My son is 19 and this was his first tattoo. Made 2 appointments for the very next day with no problems at all. Place couldnt of been any cleaner. Came in the next day and it was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. Sam could of probably cared less about my gamecock tattoo, but even though the place was filling up with people he took his time (never rushed) and talked with me the entire time. Brock made my first time son feel at ease, and made it a perfect experience (even for a damn Clemson fan). The most important thing are the tattoos. Both of us couldnt be more happy!! Never going anywhere else again. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommended. Honestly got so lucky that this was the first shop we walked into. Not one complaint. Thank yall so much!!!!!!

Great all around experience. From when i walked into the shop (walk in, not appointment), the consult, tattooing and even when i was leaving was a good time. My artist was Brock, he did phenomenal work and was a pleasure to deal with. Well priced, professional, friendly atmosphere, organized and clean shop. 10/10 Would recommend to anyone if you are in the Myrtle Beach area and looking to get some new ink.

I went in for tattoos while on vacation with my three friends in Myrtle beach. Despite us coming in with two hours to spare, Jeff, Brock, and Chris all welcomed us with open arms, and a smile (even though we are from boston haha - inside joke). Chris made the check in and paperwork process simple and easy, while Jeff drew some designs for us all at the same time! It was so fast we started tattooing in about 10/15 minutes. Brock and Jeff worked together to tattoo four flawless, damn near 100% identical tattoos. Jeff took my friend and myself, who had never been tattooed before, while Brock took the experienced ones. Both provided an equally pleasant and comfortable experience, while maintaining cleanliness and professionalism. They had us going back and forth with them with banter and it really made it feel like we were just hanging out with some new friends who knew how to tattoo! They also genuinely care about your safety, so when they ask if youre okay, be honest! If youre considering getting any tattoo work done in Myrtle Beach, youd be doing yourself a disservice by not doing it at this shop!

After visiting this shop a few times in the past and always receiving excellent service and superior artwork that Im very proud of there was no other place considered when the time came that my daughter was old enough and excited to get her first tattoo. From the moment we walked in until we were finished and ready to leave everyone was super friendly and understanding as they knew this was her first tattoo shop experience. Everyone, from the staff up front to the artists in the back, was very patient with her and took the extra time to explain each step of the process ensuring she was comfortable with what was going on. Sam did my very first tattoo (in memory of my ten year old daughter Taylor who passed away in March) he walked me through the process and made sure I was completely comfortable with the process. Then before he began we went over the tattoo throughly to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Once we were sure he did a bang up job. Im not a real big tattoo guy, but this is perfect for me. Aces High is the perfect place for the first timer as I was. I have always wanted a tattoo but was always too scared to go through with it. I decided to go for it while on vacation at Myrtle Beach with my family. My daughter went with me and had her second tattoo done and stated afterwards that she was very happy with choosing Aces High, as I was.Brock did our tattoos, he is great. He takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable throughout the tattoo experience. We had brought in our own art that we had drawn ourselves and Brock worked with us in making what we wanted look great. He cleaned up our art and gave suggestions that made our tattoos look better than what we had originally planned.Aces High is a very professional place of business, they are very clean, and they show everything that is used and how its used before the tattoo is done. Tattoos are not cheap anywhere and as the saying goes, You get what you pay for. I feel the cost for our tattoos was fair, they healed great without any complications and look wonderful.I am very proud and satisfied with my first tattoo and I may get another one one day. Went in today super last minute with a friend for her first tattoo and a really vague idea of a fish for me. Sam came out and was super awesome and helped me find a fish I liked and came up with a simple tattoo. He was super helpful and great to work with. Explained everything to my friend as he went along. For sure coming back next year when I’m back in town for our volleyball tournament.

Today was my 1st experience at Aces High but my 12th piece Ive had done. This was by far the nicest shop Ive been too and had work completed. Everything was super clean and everyone that works there is awesome. My artist Sam worked with me on ideas, set me an appointment for the next day and revealed the sweetest custom drawing made just for me that he drew up from pictures he took himself in Prague. When I get back to Myrtle Beach I will be back for more work and I highly suggest instead of shop hopping just go to Aces High. You wont regret it.

Awesome experience. Gentlemen behind the counter was very accommodating to our request and to squeeze us in that day even with the hurricane on its way. Very easy to work with after bringing in an example photo and customizing it a bit with photoshop. So glad I stepped into this shop as opposed to the dozen others in the same strip mall. Super friendly, down-to-earth place and tattoo artist, Chuck was top notch. Even with the hurricane coming he fit the three of us in for our tattoos. We all felt as though we got exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price. Highly Recommend this place!

I did almost two years of research and sent out about two dozen emails to six places before I decided on Aces High Tattoo for my first ink. I could not be happier with the quality and service. Since this is my first one, I had tons of questions. Boot, the owner, took all the time necessary to make sure I was comfortable with everything. Boot explained the steps we needed to go through (its a BIG tattoo...my whole back. Go big or go home, right?) The shop is always spotless, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed. The results have been everything I wanted. Its not finished yet due to my schedule, but everyone whos seen it is in awe of the quality, detail, and color. I think Boot is as excited about it as I am! Jeff was amazing, after giving him a general idea of what I was looking for, he gave me information to inform me of the best ways to get it done to make it look great in the long run, regarding size and style. He designed a beautiful and simple tattoo that is by far my favorite of the three that I now have.I was on my last day of a volunteer trip to Myrtle Beach and came to them for their great information over the phone, from the woman at the front desk to the multiple tattoo artists that my friends and I interacted with, they all had amazing personalities and made the experience stress-free and a perfect end to a trip.

I wanted a cover-up and went to Aces this past weekend. With all the shops to choose from, I went to Aces based on their positive reviews. I had a tattoo of a guys name on my wrist, and I was going to just settle and try to work with the existing tattoo. AG looked at it and said dont settle, just cover it completely. Which I had been told previously by other shops would be hard to do. Im so glad he said that, and gave me options, and he did an amazing job! You would not even know it was a cover-up unless I told you. My sister and my friend also got tattoos by different artists, and they look great as well. The shop has a great atmosphere, and super talented artists. I will definitely return, when I want another tattoo!

I am giving a 3 rating because the place itself is clean, organized and safe with all of the COVID restrictions going on right now. They’re very professional in that. I did appreciate that I was able to get an appointment when my usual place was booked up for the time that I was in town, however… I honestly wish I would’ve just waited because I just got my tattoos on Friday May 7th and I can tell they need some touch up.Normally, I use Elite Ink. They were booked up for when I needed in, so I booked at Aces. Sam is who I was assigned to. He was very patient with me changing the location of one of my tattoos. But I definitely feel like he should’ve spent a little more time looking them over before calling it done because I can see lines that weren’t hit all the way through and several are going to have to be touched up. So because of that, I feel like I way overpaid because they need touched up.

I had a very great experience here and my artist Sam was amazing, the tattoo looked even better than I thought it would. But I guess that makes sense when you use a very talented artist. Thank you Sam and thank you Aces High tattoo! I will be back for sure

He is so friendly and polite, he talked thru the tattoo process opened everything in front of me, wore a mask (everyone wore a mask, got temp cks and hand sanitizer) prior to coming in and only the person being tattooed could come in everyone else had to wait outside, which is awesome!This is our 2nd time coming to see Sam! I am just visiting on vacation and wanted to find a local shop that could do a simple small piece for a reasonable price. I found everything I wanted at Aces High. First off, when I called and asked if I could walk in the same day they had absolutely no problem whereas other shops could only promise a sit down for ideas and needed a non-refundable deposit. They got me and my friend who was getting the same small piece in within a half hour and our artist AG was awesome. He took no time at all to find a design we both liked based off of our chat and got right to work. This guy is not only a great artist but also made the whole experience very comfortable and easy. He was so laid back that it felt like you were just hanging out but at the same time he was very thorough and made sure to do everything from checking the placement with us to showing us the clean equipment with each tattoo. Definitely would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for ink and a relaxed, positive experience. Shop is run well, prices are reasonable, and the artists sure as hell know what theyre doing.

AG was great! Came down for vacation and came in with my son and daughter and decided I wanted to get a tattoo too. And saw AG and said I want him to tattoo me. And I was lucky enough to get him as my artist. He was fantastic. Gave me exactly what I wanted and was great during the entire process! If I ever come back down here again Im going to have him do another one for me!

I got my first tattoo here. All I got to say is my first tattoo experience was the most amazing experience here. The place is not only clean to the first appearance in sight but the artist lets you know everything he is about to use is clean and never reused. They made my first tattoo experience an unforgettable and now I know where to go when I want another one. Tried getting tattooed here but because of their political beliefs they denied my friend a waving American flag with Trump’s name underneath it. They also told me they could only do the symbol I wanted in black. Tells me their artistic abilities are lacking. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone that wants a good tattoo.

Went here for “tattoo Tuesday” for spring break after softball. The artists were super talented and funny. The shop and equipment was clean. And we overall had a wonderful experience, 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

I hit up a couple of shops before I found myself in Aces High. The other two shops were either overpriced or the person at the counter just didnt seem interested. Having a good vibe with the the front desk and any potential tattoo artists is critical to me. So when I walked into Aces High and the whole staff was extremely welcoming I felt good about it. The lady at the front was very helpful and she got me introduced to AG who instantly showed an interest in what I was trying to get done. When the tattoo artist is excited to do work on you then its basically kismet at that point. I could not be happier with the work he did and how the entire shop was. I highly recommend this shop.

Sam at Aces High was fantastic to work with. He took an image I compiled together and transformed it into a statement piece on my arm. Highly recommend Aces High especially Sam. I was beyond pleased with my tattoo that Chuck did for me in memory of my dog that just passed. The whole experience was amazing. The moment I walked in I was greeted and helped right away. Super clean shop and cool people. Definitely coming back when ever Im in town!!

The biggest reason to visit Aces High is there Impeccable cleanliness and 100% ratings from the heath depart. No one wants to die for a tattoo no matter how good. The second reason is the quality of artistry. I recently asked Adam combine a portrait with an old school design. He came up with a great design and executed it better than anyone thought it would be including the owner and the artist. If you get a tattoo anyplace else have in done in watercolor because youll want to get it taken off and redone at Aces High.Tom Sweet 11/14/15

A group of 4 of us went for ink. We were greeted with smiles and zingers before we even made it in the door. Once inside, we were immediately asked what we were looking for and treated to very reasonable quotes. What impressed me most was how willing Adam was to indulge my ridiculous requests and how receptive he was to any adjustments I made to his very thorough work ups. Also refreshing, was Shawnas (receptionist) ability to seamlessly complete the paperwork and collect payment without being in ur face about it. I admire those who not only enjoy their work, but make the experience fun for customers to boot! Both tattoos I got were done very quickly and efficiently by Adam of the artistic hands (thank god for that, as they were both on my feet haha). My guy and I are down from Michigan visiting family, and we will certainly pass on our experience. Further, Aces High will be a destination spot for future visits. Keep up the great work! I had a dolphin tattoo done last Friday. I walked in they instantly helped me. I had Sam and he was very nice and explained everything. The shop was very clean and all the employees I spoke with where very nice. I couldnt be happier. Will definitely go again next time I am down that way.

This place and these people were amazing. We walked in with a group of five, getting matching tats and a design they helped us create. Clean, professional, economical, talented, friendly and fun from front desk to after care. Would definitely use them again!
