Got a conch piercing today and I LOVE it, we decided on doing a side placement so I can wear a hoop with it later. The pain was not bad at all, the piercer “Angel” not only did a very great job setting up and breaking down between piercings for our group of four that I made appointments for back to back (eyebrow, nostril, two earlobes and this one) but placing our jewelry in really great positions according to our anatomy as well.This piercing goes through really thick cartilage, and with my 6 other cartilage piercings (one is healed and not visible anymore) I have had extremely painful experiences, one of them resulting in me bleeding all over myself and my piercer (happened in North Carolina) … so when this conch piercing was done I was incredibly surprised by the fast entry and quick jewelry threading done by Angel.I expected this to be extremely painful and a hard piercing to have to sit through but it was the exact opposite and the front desk attendant was also very helpful with showing us our upgrade options (3/4 of us did upgrades) and showing me options for upgrading the jewelry for my existing piercings which I ended up getting new industrial bars and new flat back studs.This place really should be by appointment only, I definitely recommend scheduling an appointment online instead of walking in and expecting to be seen right away, this place is super affordable so it gets super busy and that can bring tension with waiting. I’m not sure how the staffing works but I hope that this place will eventually staff a second front desk attendant to do jewelry sales!Never the less, really happy with my experience today and I can not wait to go back and get a second conch piercing!

Walked in on a busy Saturday and was able to get several piercings after a bit of a wait. Both lobes and a cartilage piercing. Prepare to wait if you walk in but im sure if you make an appointment youd be seen promptly . The staff are friendly. Best price in charleston to my knowledge and I will be back

I recently witnessed a concerning incident at this establishment involving a customer who was wrongfully accused of being intoxicated. The individual in question was neither stumbling nor slurring his words, which made the situation all the more perplexing. Despite the customer’s calm demeanor and even an offer to provide proof of sobriety, their legitimate concerns were sadly dismissed by the owner.This lack of acknowledgment was disappointing, especially considering the customer’s history of positive experiences with the establishment. Instead of addressing the situation with understanding and empathy, the response seemed dismissive, failing to recognize the discomfort caused by such misunderstandings.In a customer-centered business, it is crucial to handle sensitive situations with care and compassion. A more thoughtful approach could have diffused the tension and reinforced the trust that loyal customers place in the establishment. Overall, this incident highlights the need for better training in customer relations and conflict resolution.

I typically avoid leaving reviews, especially negative ones for small businesses, but my recent experience at Exotic Impressions compelled me to share my thoughts.I visited Park Circle with a friend for a late lunch and decided to get my nose repierced after it accidentally got yanked out during a move. Having had successful piercings at Exotic Impressions in the past, I looked forward to the appointment.After completing the necessary paperwork, I briefly stepped away to use the restroom. Upon my return, the piercer accused me of being intoxicated, claiming I was slurring my words and stumbling. I assured her that I hadn’t consumed alcohol in seven years and even presented my sobriety calculator as evidence after telling her I was sober three different times. Despite this, she remained skeptical.In an attempt to resolve the situation, I suggested returning when another staff member was available after she proposed rescheduling. Feeling uncomfortable, I immediately opted for a refund and left with my friend. After we got in the car, he told me that both the front desk attendant and the piercer went to the piercing room and shut the door while I was in the restroom, which only heightened our concerns.This experience stood in stark contrast to the professionalism I had encountered during previous visits and left us shocked at the unprofessionalism displayed. Although I did not wish to write a negative review, discussions with friends made it clear that sharing my experience was necessary.While Ive had positive interactions with other piercers at this small business, I will not be returning to Exotic Impressions. I hope the technician reevaluates her approach for the benefit of future clients.

DO NOT waste your time at any other location besides this one, always a relaxed environment and they have done my piercings perfect multiple times. Every single employee here has been the definition of a helping hand and a prime example of great customer service. Love yall mean it! I’ll make the 20 minute drive anytime.

Went with my friend. The girl at the front desk knew absolutely nothing about piercings. We asked the most simple questions and she responded “I don’t know” to every one of them. When my friend finally got pierced the piercer put it in the wrong spot so it never healed and now she has to take the earrings out and let it close.

My daughter got her belly button and nose pierced here. The nose was great, but her belly button was pierced too deep and the girl put micro body jewelry in which caused it to be extremely painful and her skin started to grow to the jewelry and when we moved it to clean it you could feel and hear it pop. We went back 2 times the 1st time they said its fine I would wait a few days before I change it to bigger jewelry when we went back the next day another piercing artist finally change it for us and had to put a straight bar in because even the regular size belly ring was too tight. I am not impressed and wish we had the last girl, which seemed like a manager to do it the first time. Hoping and praying her body doesnt reject the piercing because of how deep it was pierced.

I don’t write many reviews, but I felt like I had to here, had 3 piercings done las week, they looked great! Well 4 days later one of the piercings jewelry fell off i went the same day to try and get it back on, it was soooo irritated that was impossible to put it on, next day my ear was sooo swollen and red!! I had to remove 2 of the piercing!!!! I stopped by a different place and showed my ear! He told me that they used the wrong piercing and it wasn’t even tightened and not an “even piercing “? :.. .. I do take care of my piercings, this is not the first time I get some done, I never had issues till now, I paid for 3 piercings, jewelry and a tip and then when I went back to try to put the one that feel off, I was told I had to pay again to get it “repierced” then she tell me that was because I had 3 done in the same ear, so why did she said that was ok to begin with? She never said nothing about that before, now I feel like I’m out over $100 and if I want it done again will be more money!!!

I was confused at first on whether or not they were still open because the outside was kind of boarded up. Maybe the glass broke on the door or something. But once I figured out how to get in, the visit went great. The shop was clean, and the front desk person was very nice and helpful. I cant recall my piercers name, but she was very nice and helpful too. I had a couple questions about the contract you sign prior to recieving service, and her answers were knowledgeable and reassuring. She also did a proper consultation with me, asked all the right lifestyle questions. Since I had previously had my nose pierced before, but it had been some years, she explained what my options were. Didnt seem like she just wanted to be paid, she actually wanted to do everything properly and ensure we chose the right option. They even refunded a large majority of my money because she was able to forgo using an actual needle on me. After more than 7 years, she was able to get the earring in there with finesse and tried to be as quick and gentle as possible. Its been about 2 weeks now and Im super satisfied with my piercing. It was sore for a few days, but no major pain. I was referred to them by Iron Lotus in West Ashley, and Im glad for that. Im originally from NYC, and its hard to know where the good tattoo and piecing places and who to trust. Will come again, and would definitely recommend to others.

I went here to get my lower lobes pierced at the beginning of May. The service and the piercings were good, but they were not healing properly. Two months later and they were still crusty, scabbing, and painful, whereas my friends piercings had healed in practically a week (according to her not me just exaggerating). I thought that these things were normal, but because of the drastic difference I wanted to go back and see what I could do. So I went back and they said I should just get shorter studs. My original studs were just surgical steel I think which my ears may have reacted badly to. My friend had gone with me and recommended that I should get titanium since my first piercings that I had gotten 12 years ago can still be sensitive to certain metals. They were out of silver so we decided to get black and the person helping me said that they anything in that box of options was anodized to be that color, so they were still titanium and not coated. However, after no improvement I decided to post about them on a piercing forum and many people told me that titanium cannot be anodized to black. This is very upsetting so I did my own research and confirmed that this was true. I had spent $45 dollars on these (the studs and then another pair of hoops so that they would all match) just to find out that they were coated which completely defeats the purpose of getting good quality metal for my sensitive ears, but still ups the price. 😤

Had the best time getting my cartilage pierced at this place! Amanda was our piercer and she was so friendly and professional! I chose a fun upgrade piercing and she made sure we got it pierced in the perfect spot! Loved my experience here! $50 for piercing, $40 for the jewelry upgrade ($30 for top pretty jewelry, $10 for backing!)

As someone who grew up in a tattoo parlor and first job out of high school was body piercing before moving into the medical field. I have high standards when it comes to my body mods. I can say honestly they hit and excelled every standard I had with flying colors. Staff are polite, knowledgeable, they use good quality materials and at a reasonable price. One thing that truly surprised me is the speed in which they got me in and out and the ease the piercing was completed. Can say honestly theres no other I would add my name to a recommendation for piercings in the state.

They did a great job with piercing my septum today. Angel was very quick and had me pierced with jewelry in within a couple of minutes. The piercing is straight and looks great! Thank you!

D is an absolute queen. Got my second nostril pierced today and she was so kind and so quick! Very informative and just an overall amazing piercer. Best experience I’ve had at a piercing shop!!

The employees were extremely stand-offish and seemed to have no interest in assisting me and my friend with looking for piercing jewelry. We were unable to get piercings as my 40 year old friend (who is obviously at least in her 30s) didnt have her drivers license and there was no other form of identification that they would consider. I will NEVER go back to this poor excuse of an establishment unless the owner decides to hire all new staff with actual customer service skills and desire to do their jobs.

So this is not really a review but I was wondering if I can walk in for a lobe piercing and an industrial piercing?If not cool just wondering.I was planing on getting all 3 lobe piercings on each ear but idk if the booking will let me do that also the industrial

I had a great experience here! I went for a belly button piercing and was feeling a little bit anxious- but my piercer, Tehya was so sweet and instantly made me feel relaxed. It was so quick and easy! I am very satisfied & 10/10 would totally recommend

I was here for an 2 hours and they put me last on the list to get my piercing out. Like how that work just it take less minutes to take m nose piercing out. Only one person on the job giving people piercing.

They were mean to the new girl and I didnt like it at all.My service was excellent though and everything was very clean and sterilized.

My wife has been here twice, both times were subpar experiences (same piercer).First visit she got her septum pierced, which came out very crooked. Piercer said she could take it out and redo it, but at that point, who wants to be pierced twice? It needed to be removed a month after piercing because it was crooked as hell.The second visit she just wanted jewelry inserted into 2 previous piercings in her ear. After explaining what she wanted, the piercer pushed jewelry through an old piercing hole that was not the one she wanted. This was painful as that piercing had not had jewelry in it for 10 years.Recommend if you go here, explain very clearly what you want, and have someone else there with you to ensure you are getting what you want.

I couldnt put my nose ring back in. $5 to change out jewelry. In and out. I was there for less than 10 minutes.

I have gotten smiley, nostril, eyebrow, rook, and daith piercings from here and I am always so happy with my experiences! I got my eyebrow and nostril done and the piercer was extremely patient with me (especially because my eyes watered tremendously after the nostril piercing), so I deeply appreciate their patience! My eyebrow piercing was done flawlessly and my rook and daith were done very quick as well! My smiley was done today and my extreme gratitude to the piercer and front desk attendant for letting me get pierced after their cut-off time. I went in for a consultation on an industrial, and the piercer was very honest and said they didnt think an industrial would work, and for that, I am extremely grateful for their honesty. I have called a few times and everyone who answers the phone are extremely nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a nice, accepting environment with amazing, patient people. This was hands down the best piercing place I’ve ever been to. This is my first time ever even leaving a review somewhere but I just had to, I was so happy with my experience! The staff were all very kind and down to earth, providing excellent service. Maybe I’ve just been going to bad piercing places my whole life haha but I was blown away with how wonderful they did with my piercing, it barely hurt during and afterwards compared to other places. Very clean and welcoming environment, and at a very reasonable price as well. Go here!!!!! Ily guys!

Best place ever! I have 12 piercings and have always struggled so much to heal them. I got my cartilage pierced a month ago by Angel and first off it didn’t hurt at all, and the healing process has been so easy!! I haven’t struggled at all! I am beyond thankful 100% recommend

Fantastic! ive been going to exotic impressions for all my piercings for at least the last 5 years. stopped in yesterday for a piercing ive been wanting for years, but was hesitant to do because of the sensitivity of the anatomy in question. miss deetta was super patient, kind, and informative about all my questions and reservations.piercing was quick and barely hurt. there have been no complications or issues since and im in love with my new jewelry 😍5/5 im loyal for life yall!

Ive gone here twice now and loved both my experiences there. The staff is great. Kim has handled all of my piercings and is *amazing*. Shes creative, intelligent, and an expert in her craft. I got 10 piercings in one session with her and she made it no big deal. She also pierced my childs ears and her ability to put the kiddo at ease was awesome. Definitely going to her for the rest of what I plan on getting.

At the park circle location, it was kinda busy. We waited about 45 mins for my fiance to pierce her ears. Her jewelry didnt last a week, and the crystal or whatever jewel fell out of both. Good place for piercings, not for earings. Ive had my tongue pierced at another exotic impressions on rivers Ave. back in 2012. Ive had no problems with jewelry or the piercing.

My experience here was great. I got my septum and navel piercing done at the same time by Amanda! She was very nice, patient with me and made everything a breeze. I love my septum piercing, but wasn’t happy with my navel piercing due to it being pierced too high up. I ended up taking the jewelry out, I let them know about it and they have issued me a credit to get it redone! I just hope I can make it back to Charleston sometime soon… I do recommend this place and I will be back for more!

Upon entering, the shop was very clean; However, the atmosphere was very cold. I went in for a SIMPLE nose ring change and it turned into a whole ordeal. Not only did the piercer have issues getting the hoop into my nose, it took 3 failed attempts until she used a taper to guide the hoop through the hole. After using the taper, it was finally in but super sore and there was more unnecessary pain when closing the hoop! Now 10 hrs later, I’m still sore and feel like i just had it newly pierced all for a simple ring change. It was awful and will never go back again!

I went in to have my nose and septum pierced. I had a great experience with Ashley. I had a little trouble with the septum device at first because the rubber band on it was super tight, causing it to squeeze my septum really hard. Ashley was really nice and worked with me. She loosened up the rubber band and tried again, that make a world of a difference. She did great piercing both and they look lined up well. I would go to her again. I left with the details of what I got and an after care sheet, after she explained to me how to care for my new piercings. Thanks Ashley! :)

Ive gotten 2 piercings from there and I love them. Thinking about where else I want pierced on my face now. Very professional and no pain at all even after piercing. Ive had no problems. I would recommend this place most definitely and there are other walking distance shops around there also.

It was my daughters 14th birthday and she wanted her nostril pierced. Upon several recommendations we scheduled an appointment at Exotic Impressions at Park Circle. The office was clean, organized with friendly and professional staff. They also took the necessary steps to verify myself as her mother, which made me feel very safe. Ashley was the Piercing Professional and she was amazing with my daughter, explaining every step of the way as well as after care. The wonderful woman at the front was also amazing but unfortunately I forgot her name (Im so sorry). I highly recommend. Thanks ladies!

I recently got my nose pierced here. All the girls were friendly and I didnt have to wait at all to be seen. I was pierced by a girl with pink hair and she did an amazing job. The piercing itself was completely painless and there was no soreness or swelling afterwards. Plus it was super affordable so I will definitely be returning for future piercings I have planned.

Made an appointment of a whim to celebrate taking my last final that afternoon, had one of their first time slots (11:30am). got there a few minutes early and browsed jewelry while the lady at the desk assisted someone in the phone (which she was doing pretty well considering she couldn’t see what was the issue) and greeted me after hanging up.she asked me what i wanted, showed me the jewelry options, took my ID, etc etc. and i didn’t even have to wait for the piercer.angel was super fun and seemed excited to do my cartilage piercing, and it was truly done like a snap. i couldn’t have been in there for more than 20 minutes before i was back out the door. i told her in advance that i had my 2nd lobes done recently and was already familiar with a lot of aftercare, but she still walked me through it, especially since cartilage is different. she gave me an aftercare sheet with her name on it and a coupon for a jewelry purchase.this was a few day ago now and my ear is pretty dang sore and swollen, but i think that’s just the cartilage piercing fighting back, seeing as it’s my first and my ears are quite sensitive.update: two weeks later my my ear feels great! still sore, but no longer painful5 months later: healing absolutely beautifully! i switched it to titanium asap, seeing as they pierce with surgical steel and i’ve had better luck with titanium, but i love it! thank you guys!

I went there a couple of times, and the first two were fine. However, I went in there recently to get a surface bar/surface tragus piercing and some new jewelry for my conch and daith and it was the worst decision ever. My daith jewelry is tarnished already on the diamond part, my conch fell out almost every day and is now gone for good, and the worst part of it all is the surface piercing itself. The piercer wasn’t being welcoming and kind, and they didn’t pierce enough skin and put a curved barbel in which is NOT OKAY. I have multiple piercings and have always taken care of them, but the surface would leak and swell and when I finally managed it, it looked like my skin was tissue paper against it. You could see the bar and it was like a centimeter of skin holding it. I took it out and it has left an ugly scar on my face that I can’t change. Never go to any of these establishments. MOLA is the only spot with jewelry that is safe and they put in stuff that LASTS. It’s worth your investment and time to be treated well long term.Edit (11-30-23)As I have come back to see if my review has had a response, I’m kind of laughing honestly. I clean my piercings by cleaning them w the Neilmed sterile saline & wash off the “crusties” in the shower w/ just water and don’t bother to mess with it (I.e twist it and play with it). The jewelry still turned GREEN and then turned a cheap brassy color like it’s from Claire’s. Both a clicker for a daith & a playboy bunny for my conch. The person who did my daith jewelry change as well dropped the jewelry I had in and then just laid it on my chest?? The wonderful people at MOLA & Copper Moon put them in a little baggie and give it some respect as I paid good money even if I didn’t want the jewelry long term. As for the surface, within like 2-3 days I could literally see how thin of skin was pierced and they used a CURVED BARBELL. I went somewhere else, whom I won’t name as that’s clearly struck a nerve, and they told me it was the incorrect jewelry for that kind of piercing & that the piercing itself wasn’t done correctly at all no matter what I did to try and keep it which I tried despite hearing that and being advised to take it out and let it heal before getting it redone w/ the correct jewelry. I wouldn’t want help from THIS location especially as well because when I’ve came in for jewelry changes as I thought the selection was large and had beautiful variety, my friend came with and when we discussed where we had our original piercings done by, I’m sure you can guess, the two people who were there made condescending comments about the shop and people there. Highly unprofessional. I’ve also had 7 other people go to this location I know and not one of them has had a good experience or a piercing they’re happy with. 7!! One of them didn’t have the correct anatomy (which they didn’t know until after it was taken out) & the piercer still did it and they have a horrific scar in the upper surface of the inner ear from the industrial bar rubbing against it and they couldn’t get the bar out no matter what they did to where it had to be cut with strong wire cutters. The other locations I would go to honestly, just not this one. I’ve never felt comfortable leaving a review that’s negative on ANYTHING until my experience and how it’s affected my appearance & happiness as well as seeing how people I know has terrible times too. I wish I could feel bad, but your response furthers me warning others about this place because there was no accountability and just that it’s on me only and that s*** happens when the only bad piercings I’ve had come from here and all other 15-17 I have/had until not wanted anymore were perfect and healed beautifully even with “cheap” jewelry.

My piercing experience was great - very very clean place!! Only reason I do not recommend is the lady at front. If you dont mind attitude, huffing, and her making it known you are bothering her, then this place is good!

Customer service was not good at all no customer service skills to anyone that walk in the door , also someone with short blonde hair had a dog she was allowing the dog to lick her hand with the same hand she was getting people earrings or rings she did not once wash her hands . That was unsanitary to have a dog in a place like that. The young lady with the silver hair did an awesome job on my daughter nose ring

Ok, so I’m a coward when it comes to body modification. My piercer Carolyn was SUPER helpful, patient, and kind! Jasper took care of me and didn’t mind I was a talkative ball of anxiety! 12/10 recommend this place! I’m sure the other locations are awesome, but this one will definitely get my praise!

I got my nose pierced yesterday w Angel. She was sooo quick I was in and out of there in 10 minutes and she made the experience as painless as possible. Def would come back and def would request her!!!

I really hate to leave bad reviews but in this instance it is needed. I’m not trying to bash a business, just inform.I got my nose pierced here this week as did my friend. I’ll start by saying, they have you pay and tip your piercer before you even have the piercing done. I understand a deposit to hold an appointment, but to tip someone before they even have had the piercing done is unprofessional in my opinion. I wish I had realized that at the time. Once having my nose pierced she inserted the jewelry and sent us on our way. That was it. No information about the stud I got, how to put it in if it fell out, which mine did. I just had no idea what to do. I ended up having to insert my jewelry backwards to get it to not close up because I was unsure of the proper way to get it in. After two hours of crying while researching what to do I finally gave up. I called next day, they only said “make another appointment” unsure if I would be charged again for their negligence. I decided to go to another piercer in the area. They informed me that the stud I was pierced with was not needed at all, it typically gets yanked out and can cause keloids, plus infection. I got a flat back, which will 100% NOT fall out. I’m so beyond happy someone more professional was able to fix it. I basically wasted my money going here. I had to spend more getting my piercing fixed than I did to get it done here and I’m left with a very traumatic experience. My friend as well is left with an infection and rather than going here again after hearing my experience went somewhere else too.

Both ladies were amazing; very polite, and answered all of my questions. I was very nervous, but August, my piercer, she made me feel comfortable and the process was quick. I honestly didn’t feel pain when my ears were pierced. She is very professional and knows what she is doing.

Unfortunately just had a bad experience at Exotic in Park Circle with Ashley. I’ve gotten all of my piercings from Exotic and this is the first time I have a complaint, and also the first time I’ve had Ashley.I went in today to inquire if I had the right anatomy for a septum piercing. Ashley, didn’t see a problem with my anatomy so I decided to go ahead and get it. Long story short, she pierced me but when I went to look in the mirror I told her that it looked crooked/uneven. She agreed and said septum’s are hard to pierce. She told me she could repierce it but that it would bleed a lot. I told her to repierce it because I just spent $57+tip for this piercing…So she did, and it did indeed bleed a lot. She admitted that she thinks she just repierced the same hole because it was still crooked. She tried to adjust the jewelry but that didn’t work either. She then said I could take it out (but it would bleed a lot) or I could leave it in and let another piercer do it later. She made sure to tell me that it had nothing to do with my anatomy, but probably her technique. Overall disappointed, currently have it flipped so it can heal and stop bleeding without the crookedness being visible. I just wanted a cute piercing :(((Update: The owner, Matt, called me personally and offered to fix the piercing as well as give me my full refund. I have gotten 10+ piercings from Exotic because I trust most of the piercers and have had good experiences. I will definitely go back, but will return to piercers I know :)

My friend and I went in today on a whim and had the best experience with the front desk and our piercer Amanda. Prices for the piercing and jewelry was great, as was the selection. We both also ended up getting some jewelry changed from piercings we already had. We will definitely be back!

I went to get my second earlobe done. I got my piercing done by a lady with pink and orange hair. She had a attitude and made me feel uncomfortable to the point where I forgot to ask follow up questions about my previous piercings and more saline spray. Once she was finished she didn’t tell me how to care for the piercing. She literally told me initial a piece of paper and sent me on my way. She ruined my whole piercing experience just because she had a long day.

Just recently went in to get a septum piercing. I was pierced by Kate. I have to say, between the front desk staff and Kate... this was the best piercing experience I have had. Both employees were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The shop was immaculate and had a very inviting vibe. Thank you so much for the incredible experience and the perfect piercing for me. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great piercing!

Was excited to try out Exotic because of the low costs. Will not be making that mistake again. Piercer was sweet but negligent. My rook was pierced with an unnaturally bent rod and part of the jewelry fell out within a day. Went to get the piece replaced and was manhandled to the point that I’ve had an unbearably infected ear for a week. Had to go to a completely different shop to get better treatment including a correct titanium rod and proper cleaning instructions. Will not be returning.

I decided last minute I wanted to get my belly button pierced then found exotic piercing. Best decision I could of made. The staff was so helpful. They answered all my questions, helped me pick the right jewelry, it was overall a very good experience. I highly recommend having DeEtta Simmons pierce you because she was so patient and understanding with me.

The woman who did my piercing was so fun and friendly! I do not know her name but she had a lot of ear piercings and had some dermals on her forearm. She was quick and hilarious while doing my piercing, and although I don’t live in SC, I wish I had someone as fun and amazing like that in my hometown! the girl with 2 cheek dermals was so patient and friendly when we came in to buy our piercings, I would definitely come again next time I’m back in Charleston!

This happened at the Rivers Ave store but I can’t figure out how to delete this. Sorry.. maybe if I could see clearly with my nose hurting so bad right now that my eyes are tearing..I went in to get a new septum ring which is something I do pretty regularly. I wanted ring, not a horseshoe this time. I let a staff member install the ring. 3 days later I am up near tears because my septum piercing, which I’ve had for 3-4 years is completely swollen and irritating me since the day after I got it changed. So I know I have to take this out.. I was able to remove the ball that closes the ring but due to the swelling I can’t get the ring out. They’re closed today, which is Sunday and I’m now considering the emergency room. I’m very disappointed in the service rendered. My gut told me the ring he selected for me was too small and I told the person who helped me that my piercing is high up, as I always tell people when selecting a good size ring for me. Honestly between this place and the two awful Living Arts locations I’ve been to, Charleston is really lacking in good piercing parlors. I got all my piercings done in another state and never had trouble until I moved back home. I’m upset.

Had an appointment with Amanda for the third time, first at this location. Again she provided an excellent and very satisfying experience along with her apprentice. Very highly recommended. Really enjoyed being able to have a conversation while there.

Updated Review:Went back in today and had Rhys. He was AMAZING. He took care of my piercing and was able to diagnose why my ear wasn’t healing. Turns out because I got it pierced with a hoop they like don’t heal. He took really good care of me and was able to help me pick out a new earring to help my ear heal better. He was a total gentleman and I felt completely comfortable. Thanks for the help! Totally recommend this place as both times I’ve been they’ve been very accommodating!Previous Review:Got a basic cartilage piercing by Amanda. She was very nice that’s the only reason this isn’t one star. However, I’ve had a cartilage piercing before in my friends room with a needle and didn’t have nearly as much pain! It was painful when I got the piercing and it’s been painful every night since! It’s been 3 MONTHS! And my piercing hasn’t healed. I took the piercing out for the first time this morning because I couldn’t bead the uncomfortableness any longer. I have called several times also to complain about keloiding. This is the first time out of all 6 piercings I have my ear has ever keloided. The man who answered the phone when I called to complain and ask for tips, said it should be gone after 20mins of hot salt water directly on the ear. It hasn’t gone done still :( I really wanted to like this place because Amanda was really professional and nice! However, my piercing isn’t healing and I haven’t gotten any answers!!

I went to this shop 2 different days and had a man name Rhys pierce me. I had a dermal piercing and a surface tragus piercing done. He was super chill and nice. Down to earth but most importantly he kept it real. He doesnt just take your money if you shouldnt get something pierced he will let you know. I will definitely be going back for more piercings.

I love my piercing! Came here for my 18th and got a tragus, it was my first piercing that wasnt either of my lobes. We came here after going to the busier location in Rivers, and when we went (5pm) there was no wait! The place is super clean and new, and it was also really spacious and comfortable. My piercer Matthew was kind and also very thorough with telling me instructions about how he was going to pierce, how it would feel, and how to care for it. It turned out awesome and didnt hurt much for my first cartilege, thank you so much!!

A young lady by the name of Autumn was my piercing tech. What a gem! She was very thorough in answering all of my questions, took the time to explain procedures, options, costs, risks and so forth. Autumn was very professional, kind and transparent from start to finish. Her team member Ms Tehya was equally welcoming and professional. I would feel totally comfortable referring my mom to her!While I was there, another client came back asking for help with her piercing. The Park Circle location - went twice, 2 fridays in a row. 1st time was a late bday gift for my friend. She wanted the daith piercing for her nearly daily headaches. It worked, but the bar she picked broke less than a week later. Took her back and they put a basic, but bigger, bar in to replace it. While there again, I had the upper cartilage redone in my ear, which is something I have been wanting to do for a few years now. Different staff both times, but they were ALL incredibly friendly and professional. The store is immaculate and they are not busy, so no long waits like other shops. It is out of my way to patronize this location, but it will be the ONLY piercing shop I ever go to again if it maintains the service I experienced. I will even make a point of purchasing my jewelry for any of my piercings from here when I can change out.

I went to exotic impressions to get a daith piercing for chronic vestibular migraine. August did my piercing and she was wonderful. She is not a doctor but had experience with other clients that had this specific piercing for migraine. She was very professional. I highly recommend this place. Good selection, very clean and professional. Disclaimer: a daith piercing is not treatment for migraine but has been known to help migraine pain in certain people.

I loved the service I think Ive been coming here for piercing for about 2 years.

I have gone to exotic impressions many many times and have usually really loved their work.. however I just recently got my daith pierced here, and within 2 weeks of having it, the ball fell off the piercing and the piercing came out of my ear. I could not get it back in myself. I called and asked if they would re-pierce it without charge, because the technician always references a 14 warranty of sort. However they said I would have to pay full price for it to be re-pierced . Am I wrong for thinking that’s kinda of outrageous? I paid 55$ for a 2-week daith piercing.

We waited almost an hour just to not get pierced… the lady at the front desk didn’t know that even if you were underage & have a guardian permission that you still couldn’t get pierced.. & it was a waste of time honestly if she would have known & said something when we got there it would be ok but she didn’t & she should’ve known.. also the lady who does the piercing disclosed to much information when letting us know after almost an hour we couldn’t get it..

Best place in CHS for piercings. The pricing is understandable and not ridiculous and the piercers are very knowledgeable. They helped me out with a piercing that was botched by the other place in town and i’ve had no problems since. I got another piercing while I was in there and it’s healing faster than what I got at the “other” place.. anyone familiar with the area knows where i’m talking about. In all, CHOOSE THIS PLACE! They know what they’re doing and they are not there to scam you with insane prices for piercings and jewelry.

I am very upset. This place this is the second time I have been there. The first time my child got her nose pierced and they gave her the wrong nose ring. We only came back because she needed to get a redone and the still gave her the wrong nose ring. The thing that upset me the most about this place is that they said I had to wear a mask. I resisted and yet they didnt ask me if I was vaccinated or not they insisted that I had to wear because it was privately owned. I own my own business so I understand the laws. They insisted that I had to wear a mask... the picture that I posted clearly states that they would follow the regulations of the city and yet they didnt. Our city is now in the position where masks are not required per government regulation and yet I was told to wear one I will never visit this place again nor would I ever recommend it ... they need to follow protocol or shut down out of fear.

I wasted my time coming here to get a piercing! I was waiting for maybe about 30 mins for them to tell me I couldn’t get my piercing! The receptionist watched me filled out all my paper work and even paid for the piercer to tell me she couldn’t pierced me! My time was wasted because the receptionist didn’t know basic information that she should’ve know!!!!! Never coming back here again!!!!

They do good piercings and are clean BUT expect to wait at LEAST 30 minutes past your appointment time every time. I don’t know what the point of appointments are if you are never seen at that time and they don’t take walk ins.

Horrible customer service, rivers was out of the jewelry i wanted when I got my industrial so me and my girlfriend who are both frequent flyers were sent to park circle and at 8:20 they were closed when their hrs are til 9. We are not happy campers at the moment because we were both getting pierced. At this point I dont know if we will be back to any exotic impressions location.
