I didn’t get her name but a lady re pierced my Monroe yesterday! I was super nervous, but she was so nice and knowledgeable I was so thrilled with my experience I forgot all about the pain! 10/10 will be back for more piercings and tattoos. The man at the Desk was super nice too got my seated within 10 mins and I was a walk in so pleased with my experience

Shawn kills it! I’ve been waiting a while to write this review because I wanted to get the full experience with getting/healing the piercings before putting in my input. So far he’s done four piercings on me and they’ve all healed great. I had some issues getting my second lobes healed (done by a different shop), so I took them out, healed up, and went to Shawn to get repierced. They’ve healed wonderfully and so much quicker than I thought. I was also super pleased with his knowledge on the correct jewelry for healing. He uses flat back labrets which is hard to find around here! All around great shop for piercings and I’ll be coming back.

Very friendly and helpful. Wife got a body piercing and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Spoke to owner about a half sleeve Polynesian style and will be going back to him shortly to get that done. Quote on tattoo was very reasonable too.

I went to Ricky for my chest tattoo recently. It hurt a good bit and I would accidentally twitch every once in a while, but he was so so patient with me. His work is amazing and he’s super nice!

Absolutely the best shop you can get around here. The folks there are awesome. They were easy to work with, very helpful, and do great works of art. Everything Ive got there is insanely better than the rest. Dont make a mistake and get work done anywhere else.

Ray was awesome! Good pricing, friendly, able to get me in quickly, and great work. Made sure it was well filled in. My 4th tattoo, all from different places, and I would rank this place 2nd ONLY because it was just a quick simple tat and the #1 spot has to go to my bigger, more colorful piece. 👍 My camera is not the best, the top of the h is filled in even though the glare makes it look like its not. This is the only place I will get a tattoo or piercing. Ray is THE BEST! He has done majority of my 18 tattoos, and I wont go to anyone else. He has helped me with ideas and even helped me customize my tattoos the way I would like. His pricing is also one of the best I have received.

Honestly, no stars. I went here for a cat tattoo. Just look at the picture....does this look like a cat?? (Why does it have chicken legs?? Where are the eyes?? Why are there three ears??) I had to carry this for weeks until it healed. Luckily, I got a cover up from Cynical Tattoos. Literally do not waste your money. It was mortifying. I still cry tbh.I dont remember his name...but it was not Ricky. So, dont waste your time or money. Also- the entire time we were there, the guy literally complained about hating his job...I shouldve just left at that point...BUT it is what it is. Save yourself.

I got a tattoo from Ray last night. Awesome experience. I had stopped by the night before to talk to them about the tattoo I wanted and my limited availability and he said he would fit me in the next night! Exactly service. Very clean. I will definitely be a returning customer.

My friends and I came in to get ghost tattoos from Ray and he was fantastic! Everyone in the shop was super nice and it was clean. During the tattoo process, Ray was very talkative and made sure all of us were comfortable with everything. His line work was very clean and created a great overall experience for us!

This is THE place to take your kids for ear piercings! We took our seven and four year old daughters in for their first earrings and the guy (Sean?) who did the work was patient as a saint. He was amazing at calming down our oldest and she got two perfect earrings with no issues. Our youngest only got through one hole that day and they were very understanding. We finished the job two days later with no issues. Great team, clean and comfortable shop, and a fantastic experience. Thanks!

I went to Symbolic Ink with my mother to get mother/daughter tattoos. Everyone there was really great. They are friendly and professional. Ray did our tattoos and hes exceptional. We wanted the tattoos tiny and these lines are so thin. His line work is top notch. Ray was open to every suggestion we made while he drew out the tattoo and hes so friendly. It was my mothers first tattoo (shes 65!) and she was gushing afterwards about comfortable Ray made her and how great he was. He is authentically positive about life and what he does. The tattoo is perfect and Ray made the whole experience 10 times better. Id gotten the tattoo before this one at a different place in town and I would recommend Symbolic Ink and Ray over any other place in this area without hesitation.

Love this shop! Got my septum done here a few months ago and went in to get my snakebites done yesterday for my 20th birthday. I didn’t catch the piercers name but he was sweet and answered all my questions, he walked me through the piercing process as he did it and made me feel really comfortable :)

Rated 1 star but would give zero. I came in on the 26th of January for a conch and double tragus. Shawn was my piercer. I went here because the reviews praised Shawn for his customer service. After I got my piercing I was happy with it although it was painful but again it’s a piercing so it may hurt. After 3 days my ears were very tender , red, warm to touch. All signs of a possible infection. I tried to ignore it hoping it wasn’t true. [Disclaimer: I’ve had plenty of piercings. I know how to care for them and know what normal healing is suppose to be.] I ended up going to another piercing shop to get the piercings removed not only because they were past the point of being painful but also Shawn pierced my conch in the wrong location up into the cartilage of my ear. It’s not suppose to be that way. (Go look up conch piercings for reference. ) Also it was the wrong type of jewelry which I did say something about but he said no the labret was okay and I regret not being firm. He used decorative earring on a fresh piercing. It’s best to use jewelry that will help heal like the curved bar. The lady that tried to help removed my piercing was only able to take out one because they were screwed on super tight and on the ear with the conch it was too painful to the point of tears. She suggested I go to the Emergi-Care and get antibiotics because she also noticed signs of infection. Later that evening I went to Medcenter north in Northport and they had to literally give me lidocaine injection on each ear to be able to take out the piercings because again my ear was super tender and it was very painful and I was in tears like a child. At this point I’ve only had the piercing for 5 days!! They prescribed antibiotics for the ear infection from all 3 of the piercings .Lastly I’m not a robot. I have a local guide star by my name. Im an actual person. My username isn’t my actual name on the document I signed before getting pierced. I did tip but wish I didn’t. I will get my ear pierced again once healed but I will not be returning here. I will go to where the lady was super nice and she did my first tragus at Cynical which turned out perfectly fine. Idk why I didn’t go there again but I’ve learned.

Went about 6 weeks ago and saw Ray for my 1st tattoo. Great experience with everyone at shop. Very easy to work with. Ray did an excellent job and repeat it was. Went back for my 2nd. Definitely recommend checking them out.

I came here about a year ago and never made a review. the artist, ray, was super kind and talked me through the process. however, the staff is not creative. i was asked to pick a piece off google (for inspiration) and they just printed it off and put it on my body without modifying it in any way. will not be back

I got my nose pierced today and I am so happy with my experience! Absolutely love this place!!! I have had three piercings here and they all healed great, compared to the others I had done at cynical that either rejected or took forever to heal. The guy that does the piercing is awesome, very patient and talented. I got my first tattoo here and I am in love with it. Went in to get my ears pierced, came out not even 30 minutes later with it done. Sean is a great piercer, very professional and patient. The studio was clean and looked nice. All in all a great experience!

So I came here about two years ago for My first septum that ended up having to be taken out eventually due to pain and immense uncomfort. Due to this being my first I wasn’t sure how everything was supposed to be anyways. A guy in a wheelchair did mine and after recently getting it redone at Cynical, I’m able to document that he did Indeed pierce my cartilage. Theres a fair distance between the old bump and my new piercing also I know what pierced cartilage looks like now. It was in the wrong area to begin with hence the uncomfort, pain, and bump/scar in my nose. There wouldn’t be one if it were in the right spot. In the photo you can see the old hole. I wouldn’t recommend him specifically not a good first experience .

I was a walk in on a Saturday night & wanted specific hand writing on my tattoo. My whole appointment took 53 minutes from start to finish. Front desk editor was amazing! My artist was Daniel and he is AWESOME! Great people that I am so satisfied with!

Tonight was my friends and I’s second time coming here for Ray. Ray is the coolest guy ever and always makes us feel really comfortable. So far he’s done an ink test, a pizza slice, a flying key, and a cowboy hat. I will eventually work up to courage to get a tattoo and I know who I’m going to when I do.

Ricky does the best tattoos. He has done a lot of my work and my familys work. I would highly recommend his shop to everyone thats wanting a tattoo or piercing. Thank you Ricky for your great work.

I got a small tattoo a year ago and I still love it! I had a good experience at the shop and will return there to get a piercing or even another tattoo. Update: got my eyebrow pierced there about 6 weeks ago. It healed unbelievably well and I just switched it out at the 6 week mark. It was easy to switch and the piercing site looked good. I cleaned it twice a day for the 6 weeks w saline.

I got a piercing 4 days ago and the price was amazing it was my first nose piercing and it didn’t hurt at all I literally love it so much, I definitely would go again

Went in to inquire about getting a cover up. I hadnt decided what I wanted. They were extremely rude and the atmosphere was stale and unsettling. Needless to say I left before letting them touch me with the energy coming off of them.Edit : Also its clear they lie in their review responses. I clearly stated I hadnt decided what I wanted. When I told them that, they acted as if it was out of the ordinary to go in without knowing exactly what you want yet. But I understand you want to save face. Try saying sorry you felt that way and leave it at that. Lying gets you nowhere and speaks volumes of your character

Ray was INCREDIBLE to work with and I would 100% go here again! Edit: Sadly Ray moved back to California, but I would still recommend Symbolic!! I went back and got a piercing from them and had another great experience!

Had a walk-in for a Tragus piercing and they got me in and out in about 15 minutes, really love my piercing but it has gotten infected a few times. But staff was super understanding and changed my piercing twice for free so overall great staff, also tea tree oil has really helped the healing process!!!

I had a great experience with getting me and my daughters piercing. They were so understanding and help made the process more pleasurable. I will be returning soon for future appointments.

Went as a walk in- lobby full of people. Everybody was being tended to as far as I could tell. I told Mike, who I think is a guest artist, what I wanted. He was quick to help me out with sizing and font. I chilled on the couch for a bit, then he called me in. He sized me up 3 times to make sure it was perfect because it was an arm band, which can be tricky. I laid down and he got to work. It was an addition to a previous tattoo I had from another shop and this tattoo (unlike the first) was virtually painless, he did an amazing job with font work, and he filled the silence with great music instead of awkward conversation- huge plus. I sincerely hope he’s still at this shop when the time comes for another tattoo. Symbolic Ink will be my only shop going forward.

Ricky did two of my husbands tattoos when he was in Cottondale and then did tattoos for both my Mom and I while at his current location. He is an awesome guy and does incredible work. I am very particular about where I spend my money, let alone what I put on my body..permanently! Some of the work I have seen around town...I just dont understand why people show it off. Ricky charges less and does better work...period.

Ricky was amazing. I got my nostril pierced yesterday. I asked him to count, he said count what? and before I knew it my nose was pierced! He went ahead and did it which calmed my nerves greatly. I wouldve given a tip but I had to pay in advance. Go to Symbolic ink!! ✔️✔️✔️

I paid for my daughters to get matching tattoos one of my daughters looks good the other one looks terrible it was a 100$ for a butterfly that is not even an inch long I called they said for her to come in and the guy was super snotty telling her she has to pay next time well if you would have done it right the first time this would not be an issue if this is the way you run your business we will definitely not be back

That I should message her not call ~ because she would not answer my number because she wouldnt recognize my cell number... So I texted Paige, told her what I wanted to have done - and still have NOT heard from her...? Maybe they have enough $ and do not want mine nor yours? I do not know - PUZZLING FUR SURE...........

I absolutely love my tattoo they did a great job! They were friendly and got me and my mama in even though we were walk ins.

They made me sit there for an hour, then made me leave because the artist was tired. Then after I left, I closed the door behind me. The artist proceeded to try and fight me. The area was dirty with small children running around while the staff continued to use their electronic cigarettes. Would not reccomend without planning.
