This place is great! I stopped here with my friend to get a last minute piercing before we flew home and we are so glad we did. The guy that did our piercings, I wish I caught his name, was amazing throughout the whole process. My conch was my first piercing that I could remember since my firsts were done when I was young, and it went so well. The healing process has been great and I have had no issues (it has been just under a month as of today). I cannot recommend this place enough! I wish we did not live in Michigan or we would be here all of the time! We will be back as soon as we are in Ocala again!

I popped into Fat Kat Artistry on an emergency because I had a navel piercing 1.5 weeks ago from a different shop in Tampa that I trusted, but who put in too short a bar and it was literally boring through my skin! 😱 Danny saw me right away, immediately understood the situation and took care of it, painlessly popping in a new bar and also explaining why so that I could better understand my body. Had me out in a jiffy. They were so laid back and so amazing! I see why all my friends here use them- they are my new go-to shop! Thanks Danny!

The owner is absolutely amazing and so kind. I went in this afternoon with a piercing issue from another piercer. He saw me immediately and helped to the absolute best of his ability.My mom and sister have always gone to them for tattoos and piercings and I personally will be taking my business to them the next time I need an artist.

On the phone I was told $10. Somehow it became $20, just to remove an earring. Whatever. No big deal.I managed to do one side on my own, but had difficulty on the other side due to my shaky hands. So I went there and the woman removed my earring but honestly I was surprised she was willing to put my new one in. I didn’t see no issue with that. They are pros BUT the moment she put it in it felt forced, y’know? As if I was being pierced again. I have nobody reliable to help me look behind my ear to see what’s going on but it has been bleeding nonstop and I never evvvveeer had a piercing bleed before!I literally do not know what to do. Honestly will never come here again. Praying I did not get a new hole or infection.Edit: I went Saturday. I have payment proof. Payed at 1:10 PM

Staff is extremely rude and does not care about your comfort. The male with lots of piercings is the one to go to if you decide here. The women is rude and unprofessional and most of the piercings they do are incorrect so they never heal

Got my septum and tongue done here, was in and out in about 5-10 minutes both times had no complications with either piercing, everyone is extremely nice will be going here for all my body modifications

I had to make the difficult decision of putting my baby boy down on Sunday. On Monday I went to the shop with a couple of pictures of my dog. I wasnt sure if they were able to do it since it was a holiday and pretty late in the day. I have the picture to the Artist (Frankie) and shortly he came back with the drawing. He did an incredible job, the tattoo looks exactly like my baby Gorka. Now he will be with me forever. Thanks Fat Kats I was very pleased, oh and the shop super clean.

I got a cover-up done by Dave and he was PHENOMENAL!! 5 stars aren’t enough to describe just how amazing of a job he did. Not only was he very kind, he explained the process every step of the way. I’ve received so many compliments on my tattoo already, while it’s still in the healing stage. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, stop thinking and just give Dave a call. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I had a great experience at Fat Kats with Hito. He did an amazing job on my tattoo and made me feel incredibly comfortable the entire time! (and it was on my booty so that’s not an easy thing to do lol) You also cannot beat the prices here. Go in and see Hito for ur next tat :)

Tanya pierced my bridge pierced , did an amazing job. Very clean, very professional, she was great, didnt hurt at all🖤, I did get a little swollen and looked crooked for a couple days..but what do you expect, just had a needle pushed through your skin..

Nice little shop in downtown Ocala. Very nice employees who made us feel welcome with the 1st hello. We were in and out in no time. We received nose piercing at a very reasonable price! We will definitely go back to get very several tattooes done! Awesome time at Fat Kats!!

I had an amazing experience with Melissa and the staff. They were incredibly nice, friendly, and kind throughout my visit. Melissa did an outstanding job with my tattoo – it surpassed my expectations. It was my first time at the studio, and without a doubt, it will now be my go-to spot. Had a great experience with Melissa here! Highly recommend! I had an appt with a different artist originally who had already rescheduled me. When I got there before my appt at 5, he was still with a client. I was very patient and then it was 6:30 so I asked someone at the shop how much longer. The artist never came out to talk or apologize to me. A few months before that this same artist told me they only take cash for payments. I found out this isn’t true, he also rushed us with the tattoos that same night and told us they were about to close at 9. They close at 11. He lied a couple of times and was pretty rude and didn’t seem to care. So I was hoping the experience this time would be better but it wasn’t. He is very shady and rude!

I had a fantastic experience at Fat Kat Tattoo! I booked an appointment with ease through the website and when I arrived I was greeted very nicely! Misty was extremely kind and explained every process of my ear piercing and explained all my placement options. It was over in 2 seconds and didn’t hurt a bit! 10/10 experience for a fantastic price. I would recommend this shop to anyone and they should be proud of their professionalism and welcoming demeanor!

Tanya did my conch piercing and she did my partners snake bites. She was very professional and so quick I didn’t realize she was finished with my piercing. 1/10 pain for the conch and she was very thorough with cleaning instructions. Would definitely come back to get pierced by her again!!

On a whim, I decided to get my nose pierced, and by recommendation from multiple people, I came to Fat Kats as a walk-in on a Sunday. Although there was a line for piercings, Tanya was super professional and worked quickly and professionally, giving us individual attention and never making us feel rushed.I was nervous that it would hurt, but her vibe was calm, and the process was quick and painless! I anticipated the worst and felt silly once it was done because it was fast!The shop was clean, and she educated me to ensure I went home knowing how to care for my piercing. I highly recommend her!

Dave was superb! We had good communication about what I wanted and he contacted me multiple times the week of my appointment to ensure that my custom piece was the way that I wanted it. A few small tweaks on the day of & I walked out with a piece of artwork that I love. Dave is definitely on my short-list for new tattoos in the future. He took the time to make sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole process.

My dawg lunchbox did his thang with my bullet bill and blue shell from Mario brothers. I definitely recommend lunchbox and his high quality of work. We went during a Friday the 13th flash sale. The environment is relaxing, and all the employees are friendly and welcoming. My husband and I picked out our tattoos and we were in and out within an hour. We enjoyed our flash experience so much we will most likely go back for other tattoos.I got myself a cute little cauldron that works well with my current witchy theme!We have continued to go back for more tattoos and piercings! Enjoy all the people there

I had the BEST experience with Fat Kats when I went to get my nose pierced. Not only was the establishment extremely clean and very sterile, but it has a really nice, cozy kind of vibe inside. You immediately feel comfortable and you dont get anyone that works there pressuring you about what you want done. Ive been to other shops and Ive had those types of employees that wont leave you alone, kind of like going to a car lot and you have someone running over to you before you even are out of your car! Anyway, the lady who pierced me was super star material🌟!! Shes absolutely hands down an asset to Fat Kats. She not only did a great job, but she made me feel so relaxed that I didnt even know she was finished until she handed me the mirror. She even took out SO much of her time to answer all of my questions... without getting annoyed!! I checked out some of there displayed art and various items they sell in there display cases. Everything is beyond good!!! With all of the displayed items, art and piercings and very professional artists & piercers this is one shop you should NOT pass up. I know that I will definitely be going back!!!! Thanks Fat Kats!!🙏🏼💜

This is such a cool business! The place has the coolest decor and things to buy drop local artists. Their customer service has always been amazing every time we go there. Definitely recommend checking these guys out. Can be a little more pricey compared to other shops but they are located downtown on the square and are extremely professional so it is to be expected. You get what you pay for 😜

Highly recommend!!! The atmosphere is nice. Its in a great location and easy to find. The staff is amazing and very helpful. They work together to help each other succeed. The piercer is amazing! Very clean and gentle. The tattoos are done In a timely manner and I like I how each artist has their own area to create their pieces and give the person their privacy. They are a judgement free zone.

I got my nose piercing today, hopefully itll be a good turn out. however, the women needs to learn some respect, she was rude and short! No directions except to use soft soap. Her customer service skills definitely need improvement!!

I love this place all the way around! I went there yesterday to get this memorial tattoo for my older brother and David did above and beyond what I had pictured for this piece. Ive gotten 3 different piercings done there also. I will definitely continue to go there and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Got my rook pierced spontaneously a couple months ago. It has had issues healing since day 1. I went to my local piercer today for her to take it out, she pulled out a short externally threaded straight barbell when it should’ve been a long internally threaded curved one My poor ear was continually experiencing trauma. Super disappointed with the whole experience and really I’ve been trying everything to get it to heal and salvage it, when it never even stood a chance! Please educate your piercers!

Recently got my second tattoo at Fat Kats. Dave Draper did both of mine, and he is excellent. People frequently comment on how great the colors are and what a fantastic job he did on both of them. Ive referred several of my friends there and they have all been very satisfied. Highly recommend this place ( and Dave ! )

Don’t remember the girls name but she did this tattoo colors already fading my flowers are not the shape they was when she drew them didn’t follow lines very good. And paid 100$ for this

This is my go to spot for tattoos and piercing. Its always a vibe. So I finally went to get my nose pierced and let me tell you Danny is amazing‼️ He was not only a pro but professional. Hes quick, knowledgeable and has been in the piercing game since the 90s. If your nervous dont be ask for Danny.

I originally went in to this shop to get the jewelry on my smiley piercing changed. That experience alone was not the best. The piercer was hurting me more than the original piercing which has been healed for over a year now. I decided while I was there to get a small and simple tattoo. I made an appointment to come back in a few hours. I was told the artist was coming in at 3 so I had an appointment time at 330 so that the artist would be ready. I got there a few minutes early for paperwork and as I was walking in i saw what I recognized to be the piercer and the two tattoo artists walking down the street together. When i got inside the receptionist told me and another 330 appointment that everyone left to go to the candy store down the street. They did not return until almost 4pm and that’s when I was able to start paperwork. I was never rude about any of this and tried to be understanding even though I was a bit frustrated. In the end I ended up paying 100$ for a poorly done tattoo that took 15 minutes. I will have to get it fixed in a few months after it heals. Overall did not have a good experience and would not recommend to anyone looking

Went w my daughter for a piercing for her birthday. The piercer was so incredibly rude, I wouldve walked out had it not been my kids bday. Not dismissive or annoyed rude, but outright hostile. It was my daughters first piercing, it was supposed to be fun. When piercer asked if I was also getting anything, I said I wasnt sure yet (because I wasnt sure if my daughter was going to be dizzy or lightheaded after and I didnt want the lady to have to open new jewelry and needles if my kid didnt tolerate the piercing well). This also annoyed her despite that i was trying to be considerate. Still, my daughter was very mature, sat still etc so it wasnt anything we did, she was just nasty from the moment we walked in and didnt seem to want to do the work. I asked her directly why she was acting like that and she denied having any problem and did seem to be slightly less venomous after that. My daughter vomited after the piercing and she was compassionate and helpful when that happened. We went to eat next door and I came back in afterwards and got my nostril which went fine. I really hate giving bad reviews but I wouldnt recommend to friends unless youre right there and def wouldnt suggest it to anyone taking a nervous first timer. In the end I gave 3stars because she did seem to snap out of it and the piercings are fine.

My daughter had her cartilage pierced and it was so quick and painless. They were very clear about care instructions as well. Also while we were there my 3 year old wanted a tattoo and a tattoo artist took the time to make a stencil and put it on her arm so she felt like she got a tattoo. It was a great experience and we will come back for any piercing and tattoo needs!

I got 2 additional piercings (the 2 green studs) on my earlobe here today, Tanya is fantastic. Ive gotten several piercings (from other establishments) and there has always been some level of anxiety, but I did not feel any AT ALL with her. She is super friendly, knowledgeable, and even walked me through the aftercare. Their pricing is amazing as well. From day one, Im a loyal customer now!

Melissa was AMAZING! I came in to talk with an artist at Fat Kats to cover up 2 tattoos I had on my forearm. She designed my coverup within 45 minutes and gave me a BEAUTIFUL tattoo that I am very happy with. She was great throughout the process and helped me when I almost passed out due to low sugar levels. Cant wait to see her again for more tattoos!

Wasn’t to impressed. Lady doing piercings wasn’t professional to me. Seemed like they let anyone take the job. Daughters ears were on even. Attitude about it and then when we returned to have redone kept getting skipped until I said something. Almost as if we paid already so my child wasn’t a priority. It wasn’t til I said something that the attitude changed at the end. My daughter felt uncomfortable and wished that we never went there. I would not recommend for children for sure let alone an adult.

I got a rook piercing and my sister got three cartilage piercings and it was a great experience. Tanya was very knowledgeable and super kind. She made sure that the piercings were exactly how we wanted them and made it a painless process. I highly recommend coming here!

I got my eyebrow pierced here about 2 weeks ago. The process was quick and easy. I had an issue with healing (nobodys fault, some skin healed over part of the jewelry). I didnt know what to do so I went into the shop. Danny fixed it in a matter of minutes! I see now why fat kats has so many loyal fans. Will be going back for all my body mod needs 💯

Went in for a walk-in septum piercing, didn’t have to wait at all. The guy who did it was super fast, efficient, and to the point, and explained how to care for it. Reasonable prices and the place seemed very clean. Barely a week later and the piercing seems to be healing beautifully. Would highly recommend!

I got my nipples pierced here a couple years ago and was very pleased. The shop was clean, my piercer did a great job, and she thoroughly explained how to take care of my piercings properly. Im unfamiliar with the tattoo artists there, but this place is definitely a great place to go for a piercing in Ocala.

Dave knew I was nervous about my cover up. The whole time he was joking with me and keeping my mind off of it. He also listened to what I wanted and didnt tell me like most do.

Tanya is the best. Hands down. I went to another piercer in town, and she JACKED up my nose. Tanya saved me, and I would recommend ANYONE that’s thinking about getting a piercing, to go to her! She is super l knowledgeable and I felt so comfortable with her. I can’t recommend her enough.

DO NOT GET YOUR SEPTUM PIERCED HERE! I got my septum here when I turned 18. I was very nervous and I was getting pierced by a girl, I dont remember her name. When I walked into the piercing room everything was already sterilized, and since it was my first piercing since I was a baby, I asked her to explain the process as she did it. And she said in a snarky voice, ... Im gonna pierce your ears, and proceeded to explain nothing. I had suspicions it was crooked and those suspicions were basically confirmed when she later ADMITTED that everyone there hates doing septum piercings and arent very good at them. Completely unprofessional. I would have rather they refused my service and guide me somewhere else. Ive heard many reports of people getting their piercings here and its crooked, so take the chance if you want but I do not recommend.

I walked in to buy jewelry and we walked out pierced (friends were with me, she pieced 3 of us). Between all the laughter, I forgot the piercers name! She is amazing, made us super comfortable, works fast and didn’t feel a thing. I am a bleeder and I’m glad she showed concern instead of rushing us out. Would recommend! Can’t wait to come back to Ocala to get more work done at this location :)

I’ll start by saying, I went to this shop a month ago, wanting a gold nose piercing and I believe his name was Danny, told me they don’t sell gold due to pricing of gold, and said if I ever want a gold piercing to bring it in and he would have no issue to pierce it with my own jewelry (as long as it was the correct piece, etc) which was understandable. We proceeded and I just went ahead and used the surgical steel instead and figured when it healed I will just change it out. Anything besides gold in my body for long term usually pushes out or my body rejects it. He did amazing! Was very friendly, professional, informative and just all around, made this experience very quick and comfortable. I highly recommend him at this shop, for piercings or I would trust him for tats if that was what I getting instead. 5 Stars for DANNY!

I had posted a bit ago a negative review of this establishment, however since then I have been contacted by the owner. Due to such positive interaction and resolution with him and his wife I have since taken it down and would like to post a revision:The first time I had a not so great experience with a piercing/piercer, however after speaking with Brian (owner) he did everything in his power to correct my complaint. I am pleased to say that I am completely satisfied with them and would recommend them to anyone. I have a piercing I am completely happy with, love it! Tanya took such good care of me. I would definitely go back when I am ready to get my next one. Brian even reached out to make sure everything was good after my appointment today. This kind of customer service is second to none.Thank you for an excellent experience!

There were definitely pros and cons and a lot not more pros than cons.Pros: it was very clean and sterile. I loved how my piercer took me back and so I could see him getting an unused needle straight out of packaging. I loved how he even sanitized the tray and laid like a paper towel thing down. He was also very nice and informative. I had gotten my navel pierced and was so scared of it becoming infected. He told me as long as I clean it thoroughly I would have no problem. He also addressed all of my concerns. He was not rude to me and happily pierced me even though I am slightly on the larger side without judgement. It also didn’t take long at all I wasn’t even there 10 minutes, 20/10 would highly recommend and go back again!Cons: he never told me his name :/ In my opinion I think a piercer should always start with an introduction so that you don’t just let a stranger near your body with a needle but hey is the small details.Other than that one con it was a nice experience. I loved the look of the shop and they were extremely helpful!

Took my daughter in to get her cartilage pierced and Daniel, who did the piercing, did an Awesome job! He was very knowledgeable and made the experience quick and easy. The rest of the staff was very friendly too. We will definitely go back again.

My friend went to get her belly button pierced on her 21st birthday and the women that did it pierced her stomach not her belly button and when she went back a man was there and told her she just needed a bigger bar witch was not true it was incorrectly pierced, she should have been advised to take it out and come back in a few months and get it in the correct place. I’m sorry but everyone makes mistakes and all it takes is an apology and a way to try and fix the situation, any professional would help educate and make sure the other person who made the mistake can learn and not do it to any other person. It’s simple to have common courtesy and just admit when wrong and try to fix

Went in for a septum piercing and the piercer was knowledgeable, caring, and quick. I was done quickly, yet you dont feel like youre part of an assembly line. He took time with me, and made sure that I didnt have any issue from beginning to end. Yes, everything was opened in front of me, cleaned, and then used. I will be back for more piercings. I went in for a naval piercing (belly button) which traditionally goes into the naval and comes out inside the naval. What i recieved is a stomach surface piercing (see image below) which has high risk of rejection. I contacted the lady who pierced me tanya Purdy afterwards and she was very inconsiderate saying things like “you can always just take it out” and “ive never had to explain to people what a piercing looks like laying down.” I went to TWO other piercers to ask there opinions and they told me it is placed intirely too high, not only that but they could see the bar through my skin and recommended removal as soon as possible. They even were apologizing to me on how SHE pierced me. I was explained nothing about the piercing and her energy was so “i wanna get this over with” please listen to the negative piercing reviews and do not get pierced here, it is not worth your health. This is never the correct way to pierce a naval. This is a SURFACE piercing that i did not consent to

Tanya was the absolute best!! She did my bellybutton for me and it was like absolutely no pain. She said it might take some time getting it through due to scar tissue from my past piercing, but literally it was over in a matter of seconds and I could barely tell she had already put my jewelry in!! Recommend 100%

I took my son here to get his Nose piercing, overall the staff was ok, not very welcoming with customers, (my opinion) but the lady who did my son piercing use a bigger gauge needle and the stud is not staying in his nose and came out the next day. I took him somewhere else and they were the ones who told me the hole was too big for the stud. Overall clean place and very well organized.

Today I went to Fat Kats to get my second tattoo. Needless to say I was very nervous. I sent the appointment yesterday and they were able to get me in with Jorge Ramirez. What a professional, he made me feel very confident in his work. He had an awesome attitude and helped me pic out the perfect effect I was looking for. I enjoyed the conversation and felt very comfortable. I would recommend him to my friends and family. The shops Atmosphere is amazing and clean as a whistle.

Got a tattoo in memory of my dad that just passed away. Met with Dave for a consultation and set the appointment for the following week. He took my idea and made it into the exact tattoo I wanted. He is an all around good guy and I would recommend him for anyone that wants a great tattoo

So we came to this shop yesterday for my wife to get a newly lip pierce and belly button pierce, and to change out a nose piercing that has healed. She was told to bring in 14 or 18kt gold if she planned to use gold due to them not carrying gold, due to price of gold which would then cause the pricing to be high for the pierce. Very understandable! So this was exactly what we did. (Bring in new solid gold for her new piercings and nose change out.) She previously used Danny and was very satisfied with his character but he was off yesterday which left Tonya be doing piercings. From the beginning, of my wife explaining what she wanted done and what she was told by Tonyas fellow employee, Tonya had an attitude on her face, and horrible body language for being in her position for customer service. By wife was very nervous to begin with because of never dealing with Tonya and the fact of getting multiple piercings to begin with. Tonya had the audacity to keep accusing my wife of being under the influence, which she doesn’t drink, let alone anything harder. Kinda like she was just lazy or aggravated and just didn’t want to do the piercings, and if that was the case, she should’ve just said, I’m sorry I don’t feel comfortable doing these piercings and say la ve. Instead Tonya was very rude and very unprofessional to the point, during the explanation of what my wife wanted done, she started recording Tonya attitude, so she could show me, as I was in awe. Needless to say, if Danny isn’t present, I do not recommend Tonya to do any work on anyones body and will continue to express that to anyone who asks about tats or piercings as she has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen, truly. My wife went down the road, got her piercings done at a different shop with her own gold she purchased ahead of time, and is very happy. If I could give Tonya 0 stars at Fat Cats Tattoo and Piercings I would. Call ahead and schedule with Danny as he would be the only good asset to this company unless you would like a grown woman with attitude problems, demeaning false accusations/ possible laziness, working needles in your body. 0 stars for Tonya/ 5 stars for Danny.

As much as my daughter talked about getting her ears pierced again, she was still scared. Tanya calmed those fears and I have a daughter who is very happy and smiling. I highly recommend Tanya and Fat Kats for piercing. As I mom I appreciate Tanya telling us call her if we have any concerns.

The lady who did my piercings was calm and really sweet with me. I was having a bad panic attack due to my fear of needles but wanting ear piercings for a few years now. Next time I get a new piercing or my first tattoo, Im definitely going here again despite the long drive from my house to here.It was super affordable and quick and clean with the process, Ive had multiple people suggest this place to me for tattoos and piercings before.

I had a great experience. I went in for another set of ear piercings and Tanya did them. I was a little anxious, but I barely felt the pain. She gave me reassurance and was super nice. I’ll definitely be back for future piercings.

Dave was great! Worked with me to get my design just right, explained the whole process, and made sure I could see that the equipment had been sterilized and was unopened until used for my tattoo. Not only did he make sure I understood the aftercare instructions, but explained the why and what could happen if they werent followed (but not in a preachy way). And he was fun to chat with the whole time. Highly recommend him and Fat Katz!!

Happy with the results.Made an appointment for my son and i. Very simple design, one color with added four letters on one and 5 on the other. Been wanting this, and they both came out great, as expected. We were there from 12:30p but the tattooing started at 1p after preliminary paperwork and stencil print out. Both of us were done by 3:30p, making it a 2.5h session (combined) and STICKER SHOCK of $600 for both??!!??I bare most of the responsibility for not asking before hand how much it would be, but i never would have thought it would be that much!No regrets as we both like the tattoo, but holy hell, this is TOP tattoo artist pricing for complexed designs, and this was not that. Not bashing them as i should have asked. As i was shocked i left without tipping, and i feel bad, but this cost at least $200 more than what i would have paid in my area. Fun time nonetheless, I’ll just eat bologna sandwiches for a month! Lol

Tattoos fine, arts good. Customer service is good. I leave 2 stars because the Tattoo is not done professionally if you ask me. Didnt shave area, lines deep, very flaky, too deep application. Ive had a few tats, this ones good but trouble.

Visted on July 17th, 2022. Whoever the woman was doing the piercings was rude and acted like she didnt want to be there. General attitude that the customers were bothering her with their presence. My wife wasnt allowed to choose which color belly button ring she wanted, lady said, I dont have time for people to stand around and decide what color they want....... even though my wife already knew what color she wanted, still wasnt allowed.Would have given a 1-star, but she actually did ok with the piercing. I was going to get my piercing done but didnt feel like dealing with her any longer than needed, so Ill be taking my business somewhere else.

Okkk sooo :) I have gotten my septum done here during covid(excellent service this lady is fantastic I just have a low pain tolerance:( sometimes) and a regular nose piercing but that fell out bc I yanked it with a towel on accident no issue there :P it devolved a bump inside my nose which isn’t the piercers fault at all that’s mine for not taking care of a fresh wound, I got a tattoo done here just yesterday!! I absolutely love it and will most definitely be coming for more tattoos and piercing I always forget her name but I love her work !!! Thank you!!!

I went in to get a tongue piercing and was denied due to being pregnant. I completely understand if the specific piercer isnt willing to due the piercing on a pregnant lady but the person upfront didnt even ask the piercer if they would or would not do it she just told me that I couldnt be pierced there. I have many piercings and tattoos already and have never gotten an infection from a single one of them and even made sure to get doctor permission to get the piercing but was still denied. I think the piercer shouldve been personally asked if they were comfortable with it. I had a friend go in a few months ago and get her nipples pierced while 8 weeks pregnant so I dont understand why I couldnt get my tongue done. I give 2 stars because atleast they were quick to have all my paperwork filled out. Very upsetting though was looking forward to a new piercing but I guess ill go elsewhere.

I went in to get my nose pierced, didn’t really feel a thing he was so fast. Wonderful atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly. I plan on going back very soon to get a tattoo because their work looks amazing. Totally satisfied.

Danny, the piercer, did my daughter’s ear piercing and was very professional and gentle with her. He walked her through the whole process, step by step, kept her calm, and made it a very positive experience that she will never forget!

Only got piercings here. pretty sure one was done wrong, the others were entirely crooked. had to take out my eyebrow, it was uneven, came really close to my eye, and didn’t have room for swelling. on top of it, all of it was pierced with externally threaded jewelry. staff were polite though

Had a great experience here the other night. My best friend and I both got our septums pierced by Daniel and he did a great job. I have never met someone in the tattoo/piercing industry who is as friendly and reassuring as Daniel, and that’s coming from someone who used to work in a tattoo shop. I live two hours from Ocala and would easily make the drive there for any future piercings or tattoos. Highly recommend this shop, especially if you are nervous about the service you are wanting.

Friendly and professional shop. Walking into the place I knew I had chosen the right studio based on the design and decoration. Very clean, very straight to the point and fairly laid back. My artist was Dave and he handled my odd request for a taco tattoo like a boss. Being a walk in customer with a custom request, I was super pleased to be in and out with my tattoo in under 2 hours. I will be returning for future work. First shop Ive used since I moved to Florida and it will probably be the only shop I use while Im here.

Tanya pierced my vertical labret with the wrong jewelry. I went to another piercer in the area who changed to the correct jewelry and told me what she had put in my lip was essentially a nipple ring. A vertical labret is supposed to be done with a curved barbell and she put a short straight barbell in that started to create a divet because it was too short. Now I’m just hoping it doesn’t start to reject. On top of that, she has a really bad attitude. I will never return to Fat Katz for any reason.

So I was skeptical because of some of the reviews but they were honestly few, and there is always going to be criticism. I go in and staff immediately stops talking to engage me. I tell them where I want my tatto, show it to them and ask the price. Its a super simple tat so it was reasonably priced. They asked when Id like an appointment and I said immediately(I had been wanting this tat for the past 4 years). Nick goes, Well I can do it right now if you want, it wont take long!. I said yes, of course, that was so amazing of him. He sat me down and talked about the placement, and recommended changing the design a bit because he said he wanted it to heal nicely, not like a squished together mess. Some tattoo artists would give you what you ask for and not even give a crap, so I love that he worked with me to make sure it would come out great. While working on my tat, hed tell me at what point of the tattoo he was working on.....I loved that! It was reassuring and very kind of him. All in all my tattoo come out BEAUTIFUL and clean, Im so pleased and cant stop looking in the mirror❤️

I was highly impressed with their customer service! Like 6 months ago, I went there to get my nose pierced and they took me right away. Went in as a walk in for a nose piercing, didnt wait even a second! Went back got it done and shocked it didnt really hurt, answered my questions and on my way I was!! I was a little shocked they didnt give me any type of cleaning spray or whatever for piercing but Id go back for sure!!! Guy at the front desk told me fill out the form n if I didnt have a doctor put hospital incase they had to wheel my body out theyd know where! I thought it was great! I expect a darker sense of humor from tatoo artists lol! Very friendly and informative staff! Clean environment! No waiting! Quick and easy!

My sister and I went for multiple piercings. Out of a total of 6, 5 had to be taken out due to not being even (her ears) or centered (both of our tongue). I use to only go to or recommend Fat Kats for piercings, now Ill never recommend them again.

Went to get my tragus jewelry changed (from a jewelry that I had), because the jewelry I had in was so hard to get out. I’ve gone to several locations before and have never been charged for this. I was charged $10 just to have it changed out. Thought this was completely absurd. I understand a couple of bucks, but $10 is just robbery.

Sent an email, never got a response, finally called to ask if there were any appointments available for a tattoo. Very rude guy on the phone who talked to me like an idiot. Not helpful at all. Ended up getting an appointment at Black Lotus, I would highly recommend Black Lotus for a great tattoo and friendly experience. Would never recommend Fat Kats to anyone just because of how they treat prospective clients alone.

I am not impressed with them. They overbook and do not have respect enough to give a deposit back after you having to reschedule because they overbooked.Their communication is bad too.Both my best friend and I have had bad experiences now.

Other people I know had a good experience with piercings here and that is why I went. Unfortunately when I went to get my jewelry changed out because I ended up having an allergy to the jewelry and went to black lotus for a titanium ringa the piercer at black lotus when he went to put a new hoop in he realized I was pierced crooked and had to repierce.

This shop is awesome! I was there recently and had such a great experience. everyone was friendly and willing to help me. The shop is very clean and antique-y. They have had a bit of change over in staff but i dont think that interferes with their quality, if anything, the change was for the better. Got my bridge pierced here last Sunday and my fiancé got his tongue pierced, Tanya did an awesome job and is probably the best piercer i’ve had so far. She is a very kind and patient person but very accurate and efficient in her work. I will definitely be coming back!

I did a bunch of looking online for a shop in Ocala, I usually use my tattoo artists shop in Gainesville but their piercer is.... No bueno.The reviews were awesome so I figured Id check it out. Tanya(I believe is her name) was my piercer. She was pretty busy and had a few clients ahead of me. She was fast with them, Calm, Courteous, and straight to the point when going over post piercing instructions.She repierced my tongue for me in my existing closed hole, I was in the chair less than 10 minutes. It was EXCELLENT. I will be coming back for any of my piercing needs.

One of the workers came storming out of the back told me to “shut up” my kids while my son was getting his ears pierced. It was very unprofessional and completely rude. If there was a problem, someone could have kindly asked me to leave along with my kids. Management must have changed because it was never this unprofessional before. This place is not family friendly.

I was visiting from out of state and one of my daith piercings fell out. I googled body piercings near me and Fat Kats was one of my options. Im so happy we stopped in. I was greeted with nothing but kindness and hospitality. I explained how discouraged Ive been because my earrings keep coming loose and falling out. Ive gone through three pairs and Ive only had these piercings for a year. Matt gave me all my jewelry options and I decided on a pricier pair because the earrings are seamless. The earrings just pinch together so its virtually impossible for them to fall out. I dont mind paying more if I know Im getting good quality and excellent service. Im so pleased with the results.

Great shop to get totally one off custom ink done. Dave Draper is one of the finest tattoo artists and most decent, down to earth people you could hope to meet. Piecing your thing? Yep, they do that too. They also carry they type of piercing product you could want.

These people thinkthat they are the gift to God. However, their work is subpar and their attitudes are even worse. If you want a good tattoo shop go else where. Their people have obviously been kicked out of other reputable tattoo shops that do good work.

I went today and got my monroe redone. I have to say very clean very informative piercer. Very respectful with my 4 yr old daughter there. Matt was simply amazin walked me through the whole process never once left me in the dark. My piercing was a redo and it started bleeding a little before he could get the jewlery in and he fastly grabbed a napkin plus put the lip ring in all at the same time. I normally dont give out bad reviews but this time I cant help it. I went in a few months ago to get my sons name tattooed on my arm in an arrow and the tattoo artist said he couldnt give me what I wanted because it was too intricate for him so he designed his own arrow instead of the one I wanted which was a disappointment but even after that would not tattoo my sons birthdate under it saying people would assume he died! And they still charged me the same amount for this tiny 3 inch tattoo! I even left a nice tip because Im a good person but they lost a customer for sure.

Tanya the owner is also a piercer and she was so nice and helpful in talking through where i’d want my cartilage piercing to be. she is very knowledgeable and good and calming nerves (lol). would recommend anyone go to her for their piercings.

Called this shop to get my daughters ears pierced. Was informed by the piercer that we would need to come into the shop (which would require us to drive 45mins to do so) and meet him before he would pierce her ears because sometimes kids are not comfortable with him because he has large gauges in his ears, tattoos on face and horns on head. Ok not a problem. Went in the weekend of her birthday, first weekend in November, met Matt. He was very nice said she seems like she wasnt shy so he would be able to pierce her ears. GREAT! Lets make an appointment... nope. They did not have the materiel (supposedly the earrings) to pierce her ears. Ok the holiday season is coming up fast and a tattoo/pierce parlor doesnt have what is needed? Ok seems odd but took my name/number and told me they would let us know when the order came in so we could get her ears pierced. Well needless to say the order must have NEVER came in because here it is almost 2 months later and still no phone call. So we drove an hour and a half to Gainsville to a shop called Body Tech. Walked in NO problem. They had what we needed IN STOCK and didnt have to wait. You can read my review on that shop too. BODY TECH WAS GREAT!!!!!!!All in all if you want to get your childs ears pierced, dont waste your time on this place because its a bit obvious that they dont want your business.

Brian Fahey was the artist assigned to do my tattoo when I requested an appointment. I was only in town for a few days and they were willing to work me into their schedule. I like tattoos but am not a fan of needles but Brian was quick and really good, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I gave him a general discription of what I was wanting and put my trust in his artistic abilities and he did not disappoint. Thank you to Brian and the rest of the staff. Horrible service. Waited to see someone at front desk for nearly an hour. Staff was in the back the whole time. There were around a half dozen people waiting to speak to someone and every time someone from the back poked their head out to see us all standing there, theyd quickly turn around and go back pretending they didnt see us. Phone at desk rang repeatedly and went unanswered, so calling wouldnt have been any better. Parking in the area is horrible. Save yourself the headache and check out Monkey Business Tattoo up on RT 40 across from Publix. Ask for Allen. He does incredible work

Got my belly button pierced October 2021 the hole is crooked not even straight I took great care of it and it left a ugly scar I took it out because of it being crooked and looking weird… hopefully they’ll do better when I get my septum done

I went and got my cartilage piercing done by Ian. He didnt use a clamp to pierce it, just stuck the needle through. For a few days after that my earring was bleeding consitantly. Very red and tender. Went back to the shop and they said to just clean it with soap with my fingers. Well your hands have the most germs on them so I used a q tip to prevent infection. On Labor Day the back of the earring came out when I was cleaning it. They were closed so I went to a different piercing shop that was open and the ladies there were wonderful! They pointed out to me how the earring length he gave me was too small and thats why it was bleeding and as irritated as it was. They also pointed out to me and took a picture so I can see how the earring is CROOKED. The front is higher up than the back. Didnt know angles were a new thing for piercings!! The girls took the old earring out, cleaned my piercing spot, and put in a longer earring. I have had no bleeding and no tenderness. Feels like I dont have anything there! Ian could have caused me an infection if I just ignored it. Went to fat Katz next day and confronted Ian about my earring showing him what he did wrong and asked for my money back since I didnt get what I paid for. Before he saw my earring he said I wont get my money back and when he looked he kept repeated its not crooked so sorry but it definitely is crooked. Threatened to call the cops on me when I wasnt even yelling, and called me a stupid redneck. Sorry the truth hurts that you do your job wrong bub!

Great experience. Myself and my husband both got tattoos on Monday and Had Shawn. Would highly recommend this tattoo shop to anyone who is looking to get a tattoo. Very VERY reasonable price and awesome work done.

Things Tonya told me- Im not going to give you a refund just bc shes in pain. I dont care if you had to go somewhere else to get it fixed.Im not going to let another place tell me how to do my jobIve been piercing for 18 years (On Fat Katz official website it says she has been piercing since 2008, thats 11 years)Customer service has been bad from day one. I came in to ask about a piercing and was immediately given attitude and was told the piercing I requested could not be done because I dont have the right ears. I went to another shop and was able to get the piercing with no complications. My friend came to Fat Katz for a third lobe piercing. She was given the wrong size gauge for a fresh piercing, wrong backing on earring, and got an infection. I called Fat Katz to ask about a refund considering I had to get her a new piercing. Tanya (who pierced my friend) picked up the phone, and told me all the things I listed above along with other harsh comments. Would not recommend at all. I tried to defend myself was hung up on. Awful customer service, would not recommend to anyone who wants respect.

Tanya was very professional, courteous, and nice. She didn’t try to overcharge or rush me out. She was informative and had great customer service. Thanks for getting my nose right! Would come back and recommend Tanya.

I went in there with my 16 yr old sister she just turned 16. She got her belly button pierced. Well the guy was VERY rude! Ive had plenty of piercings at professional places and they are normally very interactive with you like they talk to you and make it to where you are not thinking about the pain. This guy straight up did not say hardly anything to her besides if you move Ill be done. She is a child I understand if she would have moved poking yourself or something but you didnt have to put it like that. You could have said if you move while Im putting the needle in I could poke myself or you in a spot where you are not wanting the piercing. I dont remember his name but I personally will not go there unless the guy that did the girls in front of us that got their tragus done because he was very nice and very interactive with them!

Shop is wonderful and clean. Apparently a 16 year old Teenager came in and tried to get tattooed illegally without a notary. She is bad mouthing the shop after the tattooer denied doing something very illegal. The tattooer did the right thing by denying her. Jorge is a great tattooer and incredibly professional.Please if you are under 18 know there are laws to follow and a process. Dont be a jerk and go around lying...

I got my eyebrow and Madonna piercing there, the staff was terrific. Tonight I just had my jewelry changed and everyone was incredibly helpful and professional. I highly recommend

Very disappointed with this shop. Ive been here 3 times in the past year TRYING to give them some business. BUT Im always disappointed and end up walking out UNHAPPY with the customer service. The guy who works the counter can never answer my questions. This time I was asking questions about nose piercing. He did not know a thing about it. He could not answer any of my questions. Last 2 times I was there about getting a tattoo. Again he could not answer my questions. Why would you have someone working at the front of the shop who cannot answer questions??? Sorry but from now on I will not use them for anything. Each time I went here Ive been disappointed, 3 strikes your out. From now on Ill stick to Doc of Roc. Ive never ever had a problem with them. Sorry Fat Kats but I gave you 3 chances!!! Now Im done.

Clean store, professional employees. Went in for my 17 yo belly button ring. They were quick we were in and out in about 15 mins with paperwork. Feel free to tip the ppl who work hard for you. The other customers were just as friendly. Great atmosphere. My only issue was parking but thats not them, thats usual downtown Ocala.

I have been getting tattooed for years and have been to multiple shops in Ocala. Nobody compares to the level of professionalism and customer service here. The art work that some of the artists provide is the best within 100 miles easily. Every time I come into this shop I am always greeted by friendly people, that are attentive to my needs. I dont trust any other shop in Ocala to do my work, all you have to do is walk in to tell its a clean place. Thanks so much Fat Kats, you guys rock!

First time I was there and the lady at the counter was rude and snotty, I recently called to ask some questions and the guy on the phone was also rude. I don’t care how good the tattoos are definitely won’t be going back. They need to change their attitude.

I got my tongue repierced and it looks like a vein was popped. it’s been 4 days and my tongue is still bleeding a lot and it’s super swollen and all i’ve been eating is crushed ice. the first time i got my tongue pierced i was able to eat the next day and i had very little bleeding

I dont know about the other guys that tattoo here, they seemed they may be pretty good but my tattoo was done by George & he was horrible!!He did not tattoo what we discussed & when asked how we would go about fixing it on the next paid session all he could say was I tattood what we talked about we went with the second option. Never discussed any option other than tribal & ended up with a tattoo that looks like a little kid doing his first ever drawing! He doesnt have a clue how to do a tattoo & should never have been turned loose to do permanent art work on peoples body!! The guy in the front in the high water pants told me George is great with tribal & loves doing tribal work so I g to the tribal guy but yet he tattoos some type of shading tattoo & pretends he was asked to do it that way. He was asked to outline a tattoo & continue half way up my bicep & ends up with it on top of my shoulder! The lines he tattooed look like a drunk guy grabbed the gun & started tattooing his buddy.... Took 5 hrs to do what should have taken 2-3 hrs....almost 30 minutes to do one 6 line since he had to go over it 20x to get it straight...Moral of the story is dont let George tattoo you... Maybe he can do a printed out design....couldnt tell you, but horribly sucks at free hand tattoos. Will now be paying thousands to get it removed.Lesson learned thats for sure!!!Would love to post pics if it gave me the option....

Ive been here a few times and everytime its a bit different. Sometimes I feel welcomed and sometimes I get attitude, rudeness, or just plain ignored. Will not bother anymore. I would suggest somewhere more welcoming. Maybe a place that cares about their customers.

The staff were so nice, the interior was welcoming and the people were professional. I got two piercings and my friend got two tattoos. 10/10 will go back.

I had a valid issue at the shop getting the right information and having someone help me. Much to my suprise the manager contacted me personally to straighten out the misunderstanding.Because of his professional attitude in dealing with me and attempting to straighten out my bad experience it turned the experience around.I will be going back and giving the shop another try. The manager owned what went wrong and made no excuses about it.That cleared things up on my book. I am looking forward to my next visit.

How does someone get a tattoo there? I had over 1k to spend on a tattoo with picture ideas and bryan talked me out of it. Sent me on my way to think of some alternate ideas for the cover up..yet I go down the street and the man takes a pic of my arm, measures it, draws up what I wanted and I set the appointment. He says thank you btw. I’m in sales and it just aggravates me that staff isn’t properly trained. Letting money walk out the door is not good for business. Talk about what you can do, rather than what you cannot

I lived near Ocala, FL. for almost 4 years, I got sone ink done by tattoo artist Shawn Cartwright, and he did phenomenal work! My Father unfortunately recenly passed, he did my Dad justice with the illest portrait tattoo, that he did!! Ive recently moved back to Fort Lauderdale where there is also a Fat Kats tatoo shop that is dope as fuq! But i still sometimes drive back up to Ocala every once in a while just to get inked up by my mans Shawn!!

Great artist and the best piercer in Ocala. They have high end jewelry and a very modern store with a relaxing ambient vibe. Very professional and absolutely the cleanest shop that Ive visited.
