Black Magic Tattoo

I have been going to Black Magic Tattoo for a few months to get work done on my legs. Matt Gibson has absolutely killed it! Both legs in the pictures provided are still a work in progress but thought I would still share some photos to show how great the tattoos turn out.Every artist at the shop is great at what they do and extremely friendly. Though I have been personally worked on by Matt; I’ve had the opportunity to see work by Ben, Chris and Hailey and they all kill it!The shop is hella clean and has no risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens.Pricing is incredibly reasonable, specifier the level of work received.5/5 across the board!

I chose Black Magic to complete a Japanese Koi Fish Sleeve Tattoo that I had wanted for quite sometime. Matt did an excellent job and was very accommodating to my hectic work schedule. I would definitely trust him with any major projects you might have.Tattoo: The sleeve turned out great, it is certainly my favorite project that I have done, and other artists since have complimented Matts work.Cleanliness: The shop was clean and organized. All of the tools were sterilized and all safety precautions followed.Professionalism: As stated earlier Matt was very accommodating to my schedule and with what I wanted to do with the project. He was receptive to my ideas and knew exactly how to add on to them to make the project better. Additionally, I observed Matt be very welcoming to other customers who chose to do walk-ins and set them up with the other artists to get their projects done.Price: Matt was very fair in his pricing and for the quality of work it is hard to beat.I highly recommend Black Magic Tattoo for anyone looking for high quality work!

This was my first time a Black Magic and getting tattoo’d by Hayley Bailey. I came to her with my own design and she did exactly what I asked and more! I LOVE how she did it and added her own flair as well (which I asked for). She also has a super light touch so the pain could have been more but she handles the tattoo gun so well. Very very thankful that I found her as I will be coming back to her more in the future!! Thank you so much Hayley!! :)

I booked with Hayley and it was an awesome experience. She is so kind, with a light hand, attention to detail, and my tattoo is healing better than any of my others.

Got tattooed by Natalie Schultz. She did phenomenal work and had a gentle touch. Her outlining and detail work in her photos are what got me to book with her. She did not disappoint, this first session was just over two hours. Second session booked with her. Everyone in the shop was nice, friendly, and hospitable. Highly recommend Black Magic Tattoo.

Everyone in black magic, that Ive met so far, are all very friendly and amazing.They all keep clean areas, and put out amazing work. Matt was my artist, hes so friendly and kind, and doesnt pull you around. Upfront and real. 😊 happy with my ink and cant wait to get more.Matt is now my boyfriends artist too, after coming with me to my color session. Hes extremely happy with his as well.

I had the best experience with Black Magic. Namely, the incomparable Renee Little. Her ego should absolutely be bigger than than the moon at its fullest but shes incredibly down to earth considering her talent. I went to her with the barest bones of an idea and she created the most beautiful piece of artwork. Way beyond what I had imagined. Oklahoma City is lucky to have her!

Got my first tattoo this weekend on a whim, and Im so happy I did! Chris was incredibly professional and helpful. He really made the design I wanted perfect, and I couldnt be happier with the touches he added. Truly a fantastic experience. 10/10 would get tattooed here again

Outstanding work by Lazlow. I got exactly what I went in for with his own spin on the piece. Super sick art style and super cool guy to work with. Will visit him again 🤙🏼

I’ve seen Ben a couple times now and he’s the nicest dude. He is incredibly talented, especially with line work. My tattoos look as great as they did the first day, now a few years later. Super clean place and friendly staff. Will return soon!

Man, I can’t say enough about the shop. I’ve now had 7 hours (across 3 tattoos) of work completed there over the course of 8 months, and more scheduled next month. The shop is super clean and cool, the prices are super fair, and the work is awesome. I’ve exclusively seen Ben for all my work and I couldn’t ask for more work. He took my idea and brought it to life with his creativity and skill. Although I have only seen Ben, I have had convos with all the artists and they remember me each time I come into the shop. Really makes you feel at home! I highly recommend Black Magic for your work.

This shop gets top marks for atmosphere, artistry, cleanliness and pricing. Ben was awesome and gave me my favorite tattoo to date. 10/10 will definitely be back

Love it here. I see Frank Ready he is wonderful and is a fantastic artist. He takes my ideas and puts them together awesomely.I have peeked in on the other artists and they are also very talented each artist had great work. Everyone is professional and you feel very comfortable being there. I recommend this place to anyone looking for work since each person there has different things they specialize in. Just a great shop!

Got a flash piece done by Natalie a few months back and it was amazing. Natalie was incredibly kind and cool and gave me an amazing piece. Her work is amazing and I recommend anyone looking for cool animals or dinosaurs check her out! I’m completely obsessed with my piece and love showing it off. Couldn’t be happier with my experience! Watched my fiance get a killer tattoo from Matt Gibson. All staff were masked, and the artist/owner was great to talk to. Very friendly and flexible. Good times. Cant wait for next appointment (made while in the shop)!

I love this shop! Ive been seeing Renee for a little over a year now, and always have a great experience when Im there. Its quiet and not too crazy. I also feel like the artists get along super well and are like family to each other. All the artists at this shop have immense talent, so anyone would be extremely happy with one of them as their artist!

Great experience!!! I can say, this was my best experience getting a tattoo. Matt Gibson was so wonderful to work with. He helped create my vision of what I wanted. I had a cover-up done, along with 1 re-color (tattoo that was 20 years old) and 1 new tattoo. They all look great!!! The cover-up, I am very proud of. His coloring and placement was perfect. I would highly suggest you stop by or reach out to have work done. Regarding his studio, it is very professional and nicely decorated with his artwork. You can really tell that enjoys what he does. It shows in his work and attitude. 5 stars!!!

This is an AWESOME place! I had Ben for my very first tattoo. Of course I was super nervous and he was very nice and careful with me! He did an amazing job on my tattoo as well. Chris did my fiancé’s 2 tattoos today and he did an amazing job! So professional and courteous. He did it so fast but couldn’t tell by the quality of the tattoos. I can’t wait to book my appt with him.

Ive had several large pieces done by Matt Gibson over the years and cant tell you how happy Ive been. Ive received nothing but compliments on his attention to detail, color and uniqueness. Matt, the owner is hands down the best traditional artist in the city. Hes creative and really works with the clients to ensure you have exactly what you wanted and more!! The shop is clean and nice as well as the other artists. Hes done my whole sleeve, chest and back. I will continue to utilize Matt at Black Magic.

They were great! Squeezed my daughter in for her first shop tattoo. My daughter is very shy but he made for great conversation and made her feel very comfortable. The shop was clean and very professional.

Black Magic is surprisingly warm and friendly. combined I think we have about 40 years of experience and everyone is a big nerd that loves what they do and it has been the best environment I have worked in over a decade. I am so lucky to be able to preform my craft around such interesting people that are now my family. And yes I’m writing a review about my own, but it really is that incredible. So nice, so helpful, professional, talented, passionate, ...I could go on about my co workers, because they are rad and we will do anything to keep it this way. Thanks ya’ll:)🤗

My artist is Matt, Ive been with him since he was just starting out and his work and knowledge is amazing. But all artists within this shop/studio are amazing and Id recommend them all to anyone looking for quality work!

I myself did not get a tattoo but I went with two friends who both did and they both loved their tattoos and the service they received. Both artists were extremely friendly. The space was very clean. They had endless examples of different tattoos they’ve done as well as drawings for ideas. The location is easy to find and there’s plenty of parking. It’s walking distance from Parlor. Would definitely go back here for my next tattoo.

Ben was my artist. I gave him a general idea of what I wanted and this was the end result. Absolutely in love with this piece especially because it means so much. The buddy who brought me to my appointment even had time to get a piece done. Highly recommend these guys!

Matt Gibson is absolutely the nicest guy and has the cleanest shop around. I have gotten both of my tattoos from him and my wife has a tattoo from him. We will not go anywhere else to get tattoos. We recommend 1000% to check black magic tattoo out. You wont regret it.

Got a my first ever tattoo from Natalie today and she was AMAZING! Even though I brought chunky headphones like a dork she checked in with me often and resized the initial design with no trouble. As a staff member of one of OKCs most established arts organizations, I had really high expectations for the shop and artist/s I was going to work with as I moved into getting some larger artwork done. I had my first visit today and it was everything I was looking for and more. Initially I was just hoping to start a relationship based of mutual respect as artists, but this place is a pristine and organized local creative business that expressed a level of care and service that I didnt get visiting other shops, all from the moment I walked-in to when I left (I got lucky, Shmitty was available when I walked-in, booking appointments is definitely the better, more appropriate way to go). Friendly staff, the owner took the time to introduce himself, great sense of respect and teamwork around the shop, super clean, lots of different styles/specialties, sharp & vibrant artwork (both on the walls and the bodies), I really enjoyed my first experience with them and cant wait to work with Shmitty moving forward. I really lucked out because hes done some beautiful work with the areas/subjects Im interested for my own designs. Couldnt be happier with my art and experience and my wife will sleep easier knowing Im putting my skin under the guns of some true professionals.

It was very, very busy - honestly turning down a middle-aged person with 1000$ in their pocket for a cover-up tattoo consult vs a hot chick wanting a $50 cheap tattoo is a bad idea. Had to leave in the end after two hot chicks who came later were put in front of me. I know it is an entertainment business and a business for artists - but dont judge a book by its cover.

Lazlo has been tattooing me since I turned 18 im now 21 going on 22 all I have are good things to say about him. When I went to this shop I was shocked at all the amazing art everywhere done by the other arrest I have very bad trust issues especially when it comes to something that will be on my body for life and I can honestly say with what Ive seen Id let anyone in that shop tattoo me
