Mind Bender Tattoo

Matt agreed to do not only my 2 tattoos but one on each of the whole family, so Christmas was a blast this year. Matt did an amazing job, completing 5 out of the 6 tattoos all in one day, (we saved the cover up for the next day) my husbands cover-up came out looking just like our pet rat Boba and was exactly what he wanted! All of us are extremely happy with the results and recommend this shop to anyone who will listen. We will be returning for more in the future, and you can count on that!

I went into mindbender to get a consultation for my first tattoo. They looked at my design and referred me to Jessica. I emailed her and she said she could do the design but she had a friend that specializes with my design. She gave me her Instagram and went forward with talking to her and making an appointment. I paid $600 to this artist and the day of the appointment I went into the shop and they immediately said the artist that Ive been talking to and paid was scammed. I asked if they could help me and the straight up said no. I also tried to call mindbender and they just belittled me and didnt help.

Had work done by Mr. Dave Ruiz. Tattoo turned out perfect. Already planning multiple tattoos with him as my artist. Much thanks to you Mr. Ruiz!

Mike Thurman gave me an absolutely incredible tattoo! I found him online and contacted him with my initial idea. He absolutely smashed the design out of the park and made sure that every little piece of my tattoo was something that I wanted and that fit with my initial thoughts. He was great during the appointments as well, very professional, good at keeping the conversation flowing and making the process as painless as possible for me. Trust me when I say the tattoo only looks better after healing fully. I would highly, highly recommend him as a tattoo artist. Thanks Mike!

Really good experience emotionally and physically, my artist was so kind and so down to earth. He was extremely gentle with the gun as well, I was comfortable the entire 2 hrs of being there.However the line work isnt as clean as I would have hoped. There are a few spots that are not as aligned as Id like them to be.

I work in the public eye and my arms and hands are in front of thousands of people multiple times a week. Im very careful about who I allow work on me as far as tattoos go. Its not like you can just erase and start over... so I looked around before I began booking appointments for sleeve work. Jay has been a friend of mine in the artsy circles for a couple of years and after nerding through his work repeatedly - I booked my first appointment for my birthday. He does phenomenal work.Ive been each month for work on full sleeves. While Ive been here, Ive seen several other artists here doing work on other people and every single piece Ive seen walk out of here is just gorgeous. The level of artistry here is just beyond most tattoo studios anywhere around. It is absolutely worth the wait to get in to one of these amazing people. I also love that their whole place is an art gallery of really badazz pieces. Ill be back every month until all my pieces are finished.Jay also makes sure that we take breaks (I like to sit for a long time to get sh!t done) and that I feel ok. If I tap out, he doesnt make fun of me too bad... lol.Everyone here is wonderful to speak with, joke with, and just be around. I recommend this place and the artists here to everyone who asks about my work as well as just asking where to go. It is worth the drive to OKC to have a piece by one of them.

Mike Thurman did mother/ daughter tattoos for us. He was so easy to work with on the design and scheduling. The tattoos turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend him!

Man, what can I say. I was a little inpatient in getting my next tattoo. Matt was able to get me in quickly. I sent him a couple of pics of what I wanted and let him do the rest. What I got was nothing short of stunning. Far exceeded my expectations. Super cool dude and a fantastic artist. Will definitely be going back to Matt for future pieces. The whole studio was welcoming and clean with a friendly staff. Highly recommended these guys.

I recently got some line work done by Matt a few weeks ago. I was extremely anxious as this was my first tattoo. Matt did a great job of walking me through the entire process from design to final product and even provided a detailed care routine. Overall I am very satisfied with his work and will be returning for my next tattoo.

Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I probably asked Rawb if I could change something on the sketch 6 different times, and every time he did enthusiastically!! He was so fun and kind, and the tattoo came out exactly how I pictured it!!

Everyone in this shop is a professional artist first. You can guarantee whenever you get a piece done here it’s something you’ll love. I have gotten several from Mike Thurman and a few from other artist here. Professional only begins to describe this shop. From the atmosphere to the way they conduct business is flawless.

The artist I used is OB, and he is incredible!He did a majority of my tattoo at Big Daddys (theyre wonderful as well), but I loved all of the art here! The atmosphere was welcoming and its a pretty large shop.I loved it.

Loved this place!! Great people and vibes! While everything is good with the atmosphere I have an issue with trying to book a session to start on a sleeve. Artist that I had just ghosted me. I tried reaching out several times to no avail. Wish I could keep going back.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Awesome experience from the moment I walked through the door. I was greeted and had a good time chatting with the girl at the front desk while I waited for my artist and the shop looked and smelled very clean. My experience with my artist Bobby was 10/10! Been coming here pretty regularly for almost 2 years now to get work done, and even though I go to Bobby, everyone is always friendly and welcoming. Bobby has done a great job on me and everyone else in the shop does very good work as well from what I see. I recommend anyone in here to friends and family when they ask, and they have some pretty badass artwork for sale inside as well.

Zak Ratzlaff was absolutely awesome. First tattoo, he was extremely professional and clean. He didnt shame you for needing breaks, he was totally understanding (even when you need one after the first line 😅). Ill 100% recommend him to anyone, and will definitely be back.Tips for first timers:1. Bring something to drink2. Bring cash! Its a cash only business!3. Tip your artist, it shows your appreciation to their craft.4. Be vocal! My friend and I came here spur of the moment, called the day before to see if they had any openings. Luckily they did and we were able to walk in the next day and get some amazing tattoos. I got my first tattoo at the ripe old age of 71. I had a kidney transplant back in February and I wanted a special kidney tattoo to honor my donor. Mike did a phenomenal job. He is truly an artist. My wife and daughter were so impressed with the work Mike did they plan on scheduling their own tattoos.Ive learned never to day never. Two things I thought would never happen.That I would never live in Oklahoma and I would never get a tattoo. I love Oklahoma and I love my tattoo. Thanks Mike, Im sure I will be seeing you again.

This is the cleanest, most positive, relaxing shop Ive ever walked into. I have had the same tattoo artist for years and I didnt realize just how awful his previous shop was until I walked into Mind Bender. All of the artists were happy and professional. There was no drama or negativity-just appreciation and lots of laughter. Im so glad my Mikey finally found a shop worthy of his talent. Mike did an awesome job on my Eeyore semi colon butterfly tattoo. OB did my daughters purple fade semicolon butterfly. Her first tattoo. Awesome job also. When I first pulled up to Mind Bender, I was a little hesitant because the shop was located next to a gas station. Don’t let that stop you from going, because the shop itself was very clean and looked very well put together. I got my Tattoo done by Mike, he was very professional and the tattoo came out extremely well! Prior to my tattoo appointment I gave him some constraints if you will and he ran with it. The designs he came up with were very good. For my first time getting a tattoo I would highly recommend Mind Bender!

Pulling up to this shop, I was really skeptical. But all of that skepticism left once I got inside. The shop is super clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and the art is amazing (both the art on the wall and the tattoos). My friends and I were planning on getting spontaneous tattoos, but because of COVID, availability was scarce. Luckily this shop had a last minute opening, and 4 of us were able to get awesome tattoos by Mike. I would definitely recommend coming here for your tattoo needs.

Went with a friend to get her 3 hour tattoo and decided to get one myself. Mike Thurman was absolutely the best he worked me in. Had a great time enjoyed conversating with so much laughter. Definitely did not seem like we was there for 4 hours. He made the experience very enjoyable.

This shop is very clean. The atmosphere is pretty chill. Mike Thurman was my artist. He killed it. I told him what I wanted and he definitely delivered. Aside from being a talented artist, Mike is also a great conversationalist.

OB styled and tattooed 3 peonies on my forearm in November and it is still just as lovely as day 1! Within the first few minutes of starting the tattoo, I almost passed out. OB was so kind and brought a fan directly to me, snacks, water, and candy. He allowed us to take a 15 minute break then tried again. Upon continuing, I still struggled with staying awake. OB offered to let me lay down instead of sitting up right, which changed the experience completely for me! I was no longer struggling to stay conscious and felt my strength gather back up while he still was able to work. This took over two hours, and he charged me for only two. He also didnt charge me for the time it took for me to collect myself during the break. OB is such a great artist and is so kind, and is great to talk to while he works. He did my tattoo exactly how I wanted it, even better honestly, with vibrant colors and dainty lines just how I wanted. He made sure that it was a great experience! Thank you OB for your work and kindness during my experience at Mind Bender!- almost forgot, I am not from the Tulsa area, and OB was more than happy to work around MY schedule to get me an appointment on a day that the business was usually closed.I would recommend this business to everyone looking for great work and great artists!

My experience with MindBender on January 2nd, 2021 was fantastic. My girlfriend and I were wanting to get a tattoo for the new year, nothing crazy, a simple walk in type and we werent wanting to wait. After hitting a couple of other shops to inquire, their customer service was not good at all. When calling into MB, the lady who answered the phone was extremely kind, respectful and listened to what we were trying to accomplish. She got us in touch with Mike, and a couple hours later, we were in Mikes chair. The place was extremely clean and very put together. Mike was a fantastic artist and a fantastic person. The pricing was also very reasonable. Out of any walk in tattoo experience Ive had, this was hands down the best. Looking at his art as well as the other artists in that studio, this is definitely one of the best shops in OKC. Looking forward to setting up my appointment here for my next piece.

My daughter and I make the trip from Wichita once a year to see OB for a tattoo. We followed him from Big Daddy Tattoo. Mindbender is nice and clean. We meet several of the other artists while there. Everyone was nice. OB was so accommodating to myself and my daughter. He goes above and beyond when he comes to what you want and how the tattoo works for you. Got my first tattoo here. Mike done the tattoo, it’s just line work right now, but getting it colored in. Mike was great at first he thought I had other tattoos because of the size off my tattoo and my confidence. I am going to return for three more tattoos. All my tattoos are going to be Chinese zodiacs. The head isn’t proportional to the rest of the dragon only because I wanted it to be bigger like she is in your face. Was not mike’s fault on it.

Learned about it through my girlfriend. She and I both get work done by Bobby. His work is incredible, but Ive seen everyones stuff, and theyre all pretty amazing. Book well in advance. These guys are usually booked solid, but its always worth the wait.Edit: got the last bit of my Dark Tower sleeve done before I moved from OKC. Im going to miss these guys a lot. Theyre all incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Theyre willing to work with you on anything and dont discriminate on what you want.Talk to them, get a feel for their styles, and maybe attend one of the several art shows they put on every year. And trust me, theyre all worth the wait.

Mike was an awesome dude who didnt even think twice about a Browns tattoo in OKC. The tattoo looks great, the shop was clean and everyone was obeying the mask mandate. These people rock!

I got my sisters zodiac constellation done by Mike, extremely happy with the tattoo but was disappointed that I had an appointment at 5pm and didn’t actually start doing paperwork or anything until nearly 6:45pm. Mike still did a very good job and it was reasonably priced.

I recommend them a hell of a lot because I appreciate them taking into consideration about how much my tattoo meant to me! It came out perfectly, I had just lost my dog who was my baby and I got his paw print to a piece of paper so I could it tattooed and the artist took the time to get it perfect for me, and I can definitely say I’m coming back for another tattoo done by them in the near future!!!

Mike Thurman has done 2 of my water color tattoos now and does amazing work. He just did this one for me and my best friend as matching tattoos.

Only five stars to give. Too bad. My wife and I decided to get inked randomly for our anniversary one after noon. Drove three hours while scouting out a parlor and Wow did we make the best pick. I have been plenty of shops all across the country but none compare to Mind Bender. They received us as walk-ins, presented portfolios all of which showed multiple artists with crazy talent. The artist we got paired with was OB. We consulted, priced, signed, and got our ink on inner forearm. This dude has a steady hand that glides like a quill. Receptive, friendly, concerned with quality so much he reset his sanitation after completing two tattoos to correct a tiny imperfection of one letter in a quote for the sake of my wifes OCD lol Sanitation procedure isnt mindless and easy. That is dedication to quality and satisfactionYou cant afford to pass this place up plain and simpleThanks OB we look forward to doing business there again man

Me and my wife have wanted tattoos done together since 2017 so when 2018 came, we decided on getting them for our anniversary presents. We called the shop and I asked if they did walk ins and Anastassia answered and let us know she was free until later that evening and asked what we were wanting. I told her crowns and she thought I had said Crayons lol we had a good laugh on the phone and in person. She drew them up while we made our way there and waited until she was ready. Wife went first then I went after (it being my first ink) and she was very professional for both of ours. Prices for ours were fair and the amount of detail she put in were phenomenal. Would highly recommend and will be coming here yearly for her.

Made an appointment with artist Matt for 7:30 he didn’t show up on time then the previously discussed art idea and charges were changing he had previously stated it would take two hours then said he needed 45 min to draw up the art then 3/4 hours for the tattoo that meant the previously discussed and agreed upon amount and time frame went out the door I just felt this business lacked in professionalism. However the female artist working there was finoninal conversatinalist Thank you

Rawb was great he did me and my daughters matching tats and we love them he covered one of my old tats that was not so great and u can’t even tell it was ever there..he does great work he was very clean and friendly it was my daughters first tat and she felt so comfortable with him he talked her through it the entire time checking to make sure she was ok during the process...
