Lady Luck Tattoo and Body Piercing

Came in for Friday the 13th. Ive been coming here for years, and the quality has steadily declined. My partner was told a 30 minute wait for their tattoo and ended up waiting over an hour. I was told 40 minutes for a piercing and waited over 3 hours with absolutely no communication. Multiple people were told shorter wait times as well, and I watched quite a few walk out due to waiting so long. Im not sure if anyone besides me even got a refund. The owner gave me a lot of attitude when I told her I didnt even want the piercing anymore, and she was visibly becoming very irate due to the number of complaints and people leaving. She quite literally walked away from me into a hallway, shouted angrily at her employees about too many people leaving, and then came back to finally give me my refund. The entire process was like pulling teeth.The artist who tattooed my partner didnt ask them to check the placement before beginning, and she was very crude in her language and conversation topics. What got to me most was her openly bashing other shops here in town, especially when I was attempting to compliment them and discuss where my friend and I had gone throughout the day.The entire experience was long, tiring, and unprofessional. This will be the last time I come to this shop, and I hope no one else has to go through as bad of an experience as me and these other people did today.

Did an awful job and overcharged on a simple tattoo that any respectable artist should be able to do. Line work looks like it was done by someone with Parkinson’s and the ink isn’t fully filled in and looks like it was done with crayon. I followed the aftercare perfectly and got no scabbing or infection. Don’t go here unless you want to walk away with badly done tattoo and an empty wallet.

This is the second time getting pierced there and the girls are so friendly and awesome, I have gotten my industrial there( and if you have one you know how painful it is) but they were amazing with me and talked me through it and I just got my second and third loves pierced on both of my ears and they were amazing, answering questions I’ve had, had small talk with me, and the placement is wonderful. I would def recommend coming here.

I was told I needed to change out my piercings THE DAY BEFORE MY SURGERY and I was seriously desperate. I couldnt get in to see my BG piercer at such short notice and I was in Owensboro for the day. I called Lady Luck and was told they accept walk-ins after 6.I was treated so kindly. Olivia and the other young lady were so professional but also empathetic. They didnt have the right size for me and they tried to contact another piercer to help me out. Above and beyond what I expected. We ended up using something a little too large but I was so desperate. I received a thorough education on what to do immediately following my surgery and Olivia was so gentle with me.I wish I had caught the other persons name. They were really nice too and had great taste in music.If I were to ever need anything else I wouldnt hesitate to go here.

What a fine group of young professional people! Its been 45 years since Ive been pierced but went as support for a friend and now I want a tattoo! Liv was the artist we worked with today and she was extremely meticulous in setting up, explaining the process, opening all materials and lotions that were obviously sterile, marking, checking and rechecking- wonderful experience!

My friend got some fine lines done Everyone was patient with us and let me call for her. She is satisfied with the work and it healed nicely. Lilly was so awesome!! Deff was worth the hour away.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Its always clean. They open supplies right in front of you so you know everything is sterile. Every artist weve had the pleasure of having work by has been extremely skilled and talented. Melissa did a wrist tattoo on me about 5 years ago (old location) and it still looks as great as it did day 1! Kayla did my daughters ear and it was exactly what she wanted, and looks fantastic. Hubby has multiple tattoos from various artists and all of them still look fantastic. Weve had over 8 piercings done by Lady Luck and never had a single issue. We cant recommend them enough!

Eddie Martin is mine and my fiancees go to guy for tattoos! He takes pride in his work and is just as enthusiastic about our ideas. Dude is very talented and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Eddie and Lady Luck for all of your tattoo and piercing needs!

I live in Illinois but I was visiting Owensboro today. Ive been wanting to get another piercing in both of my ears and seen the great reviews on Lady Luck. I had lunch at Texas Rd House and my waitress had several piercing and she told me thats where she got them done. So I went there and Loni (I think that was her name) did my piercings and she was wonderful. I give her 5 stars and highly recommend her. Now I know I could have it done in Illinois but I just felt this was the place to go. I also like to share that Im 61 yr old woman. Thank you again.

Erin is awesome!!! Took an idea that I had, and breathed life into it. It was a tribute project to my late fiance and daughter. Erin is amazing! Im definitely going to get more work done here.

Got my labret re-pierced here, great place! Everyone was polite and professional. Atmosphere is cool. Katie did my piercing and she was great, made me feel very comfortable and the placement and everything is perfect.

While the lady who did the piercing was super nice she definitely messed it up. I’ve had my septum done for over a year and it still hurts, it was pierced too high up. I went with someone who got a tattoo from a man saying he was the owner. He blew out her skin so badly it looked like leather. Pressed so hard and I watched him go over the same spot 30 times. I have my tattoos that are done and they never have had anything like that happen. My artist has never caused me to have a blow out or anything like that. The same person who pierced me also pierced the person I came with, she got her tongue pierced. You could tell that my they didn’t have the anatomy for it, the artist said nothing and pierced it at an angle. It lead to the bar hitting her teeth and her taking it out weeks later. I’ve heard 2 artist are great but just spend the extra money for quality work and go to Evil Twins or Folk Lure Tattoo

My 10 year old daughter wanted her ears pierced and I asked my friends where I should go. Everyone suggested Lady Luck and I was NOT disappointed. Loni did the piercing and she was amazing and so professional. When she did the actual piercing, it was so quick and easy, my daughter didnt even flinch. I remember how my piercings went and needless to say, Im so thankful we came here. Highly recommend coming here!

Went in today during their Friday the 13th flash sale to get my nose pierced. Everyone was so nice! It was very clean and professional. Liv was awesome 😍 she explained everything and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted before she did the actual piercing. I will definitely be back!

This is a great tattoo shop. Rachel took care of me and my daughter and it was a fantastic time and got exactly what we wanted. Rachel made the experience perfect for both of us. I went in to get the Medusa piercing, I asked for the original piercing lady( which is awesome) she wasnt there that day. The woman that was, was the owner and she went on to tell me that she had pierced for 5 yrs now and that the other woman had only been piercing for about a year. You would think that 5 years is more than enough time to know what youre doing....no ....she pierced my Medusa crooked, on the left side of my cupids bow when it is supposed to be centered. So I went to have it pierced by another shop . And lady luck will not give my money back. I showed them the scar they put on me and still not a care I. The world. If u go there get the piercing not the owner filling in. My apologies it was the lady running the shop in the Henderson ky office. She mainly does tattoos she said. Im just out 50 dollars and unhappy with the service all the way around.

I got a VCH piercing as well as a daith from Katie, and she was amazing! She was knowledgeable, quick, steady, accurate, and answered any questions I had. The studio was clean, calm atmosphere, and everything used on me was fresh out of the package. Of all the shops Ive been to, this place was the best. I will be a repeat customer.

Got my first tattoo last night with my daughter! Was very good ,this lady was awesome very kind and very professional with us. Definitely a hopping place and everyone seemed happy with their experience as they left as I took notice of that while there. Also very clean

Took my 12 year old son there to get his ear pierced for his birthday. Their piercing person Katie did an awesome job! Very patient and great at explaining everything she was going to be doing for his piercing!

Didn’t really give any details when piercing my boyfriends nose, didn’t get to pick out jewelry like I’ve done at any other shop. He’s had his nose pierced not even a month and it’s fallen out at least 10 times. Will not recommend not anyone for piercings.

Went as a walk-in a couple days ago for something small and Shannon was my artist, wonderful to chat with and light handed but my lines look great. Good atmosphere in the shop as well, will recommend.

Loni did my piercings and did an awesome job! She also made sure I was aware of what she was doing and why so I was never uncomfortable or caught off guard. Very professional and everything was new and sterile. Will definitely be back for future work!

My 15yo daughter wanted a simple lobe piercing and since Ive learned about the dangers of piercing guns at mall stores, I told her wed go to a professional facility. I called ahead to find out what we need due to her age, the employee on the phone was very helpful. When we went in for her piercing, the staff was very friendly and the piercing artist explained every step of the process. My daughter is happy with her new piercings, I would definitely recommend Lady Luck for their services!

Well just to start my artist seemed genuinely upset that she had to tattoo someone, I dont know if she was just having a bad day or was upset about my tattoo or what, but I couldnt have felt more unwanted. The dude that took all my info was awesome tho. (Virtual fist bump).

Such a clean & friendly environment, the girls were very comforting & reassuring about every doubt I had, & they all throughly explained each step before doing it. (I’ve been Pierced & tatted by a couple of gals there) & they’re always so very nice!

I will always recommend Eddie to anyone I know looking for a tattoo. He always does super great work and cares about his clients. He makes sure your comfortable and gives you breaks throughout if you need it. I went to him for a cover up that I didn’t think was possible and he completely made it happen. I got a tattoo from Austin Wingfield tonight(11/18/17). He did an AMAZING JOB!!!! I have many other tattoos including one I’m still having done at another studio. I am from Philadelphia, PA which is where the other one is being done and I know a lot of very talented artists and Austin just got added to that list. I stopped by last night and the place was packed talked to Melissa who set the appointment up for me with Austin. I went in Saturday told him what I wanted and in 2 hours he exceeded my expectations. Great Job. If and when I’m back in the area I will return. One more thing I want to add based on negative reviews I read here. They use Eternal Inks, which happens to be one of the best inks on the market the top shops in Philly and New York use Eternal Ink. They do not cut corners.just left this place again11/23/19. My wife got a tattoo done this time by Melissa.She was prompt fast and it is spot on. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. This is one of The BEST tattoo shops around and I’ve been to a few. Thank you again for another great job!

Went in on July 31st and got my first ever tattoo. Melissa was the artist and did a fantastic job. Everyone was so nice and friendly it was a really good experience. If everything heals up ok Ill probably get a couple more in the near future.

Beautiful shop. The piercer was super sweet and everyone was friendly. Already planning to return for inkUpdate: Its not even been two weeks and the swelling is nearly gone. Very little discomfort for only a couple days. Wonderful piercing job!

Called to see if they had time for a walk in ear piercing, the lady said all ear piercings are walk ins. When we got there the same girl said it’s better to schedule them for children 🤌🏼 Okay shoulda said that when I called and asked because the page says you pierce at ages starting at 4. Wasted my time and really irritated me because my daughter was ecstatic to get them done.

Ive had a total of 6 tattoos done at Lady Luck now, by both Eddie & Erin. I asked Eddie to do a touch-up on a tattoo I had done years ago & he basically redid the tattoo, beautifully, & only charged me for a touch-up. He has since done 4 more tattoos for me & they all turned out great. And when there were holes, as there are with any artist, he stood by his work & touched it up no charge. Erin took a horrible tattoo I had done 16 years ago & turned it into an absolute work of art. Even my mom loves it, & she HATES tattoos!! Ive read some of the reviews on here & Ive never seen a bunch of people hanging around unless they were customers, the place is always clean, the needles are always sterile, & everyone who works there has a great, friendly, & helpful personality. I plan to get more tattoos & there is no where else I will ever go & no one else who will ever put ink on my skin. Trust me, this is the place you want to go to & these are the people you want to trust. Check out their galleries to choose your artist, thats how I found Erin. I saw that she & Melissa were really good at cover-ups. Erin just happened to be the one who answered when I called & now Im obsessed with her mad skills!! The woman is a true artist!! I went for my ear piercing (just the typical first piercing) after years of saying I wouldnt get them pierced after a horrible incident with Claires. Katie was so professional and helped clear up any anxiety about it. Literally was 10 times less painful than a piercing gun and they were wonderful to work with!

I got my first tattoo at Lady Luck Tattoo and Body Piercing last night on 6/26/2020. My artist was Eddie, and he is awesome!. Eddie had taken the concept I had given him and drew up my tattoo. He had actually taken me in before my appointment with him. In just a few minutes I was on the table getting my tattoo. Eddie worked quickly and precisely and was done in a few moments. I get all my tattoos done here now and Melissa has done several coverups now of terrible previous work. The results are fantastic. All my piercings are also great. The shop is very clean and welcoming.

Showed up for an impromptu tattoo with a friend and even though they were busy we were squeezed in. Our tattoos took less than an hour (they were small so this was actually the perfect amount of time), our artists were clean, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Went in to buy earrings. Had no idea what I was looking for. Lady was very helpful and even helped me put them in!! She answered all me questions confidently too. I was also pleased with the selection and her recommendations. Great little shop!!

Ive gotten four tattoos from Lady Luck and I plan on getting many more from this shop. I refuse to go anywhere else and I will ALWAYS defend every artist and piercer, regardless or our relationship. Ive gotten all of my piercings from here except for my ear lobes (since I was 13 months old) and I havent had a single problem with them or my tattoos. Any question Ive had for an artist or piercer has been answered in a very courteous way and promptly. All in all I am EXTREMELY happy with every experience Ive had at Lady Luck.

Piercing wise; stainless steel jewelry is all that is available and give horrible aftercare advice. If you’re in Owensboro, make the drive to Evil Twins in Evansville. It’s so worth it. They have helped me so much with their top quality jewelry and aftercare advice. Not to mention the shop itself is beautiful. After I was pierced at Lady Luck I was informed by the piercer that another shop worker was out due to Covid contact.

Lady Luck is hands down one of the best places to get a tattoo. Their service is Great! And their staff are Awesome! I got both ears pierced with daith piercings, and although all my migraines arent gone, there are far fewer than Ive ever had since 16.. (61 and counting). I would get 4 to 5 a week...down to maybe 2 a month. very happy I decided to do it. Clean place and very nice people. If you are a migrainer...try it..it works. Ill be back to get my celebratory tat!

Fast and professional. Went in an hour before closing and they still got my piercing done within 15 minutes. Septum piercing done by Loni was the most painless piercing Ive ever experienced! GREAT WORK!

I went to get my nose and my navel piercing done here, i have heard a lot of stuff about lady luck saying they dont sterilize the needle, but they do! i dont see how people is saying they dont when clearly they opened he package right in front of you and sterilize the needle with Vaseline. Anyways, i think they have done a fantastic job. Thats the only place i go to get piercings!

I called 2 times about getting my daughters ear pierced. They didnt tell me anything about requiring IDs even for minors under 16. They didnt inform us we needed our guardianship papers. I made sure they knew we would be traveling to get there and anything I needed to bring, I needed to know in advance. I get they are required certain things but they need to do a better job of being upfront about it.

I highly recommend Lady Luck to anyone thinking about getting a tattoo. I just got my first tattoo there yesterday and I am obsessed with the outcome. Kayla did an amazing job and I cannot wait to get tat #2 soon.

I got my first tattoo here on Friday the 13th and even though the place was busting at the seams with people I still had a really great experience. I was the 38th tattoo of the night for my artist and he still did and amazing job! I definitely plan on going back!

I received my first tattoo here. $50 for a tattoo smaller than the size of a dime and just a filled in circle to boot. I dont mind the price so much as I do the fact that the tattoo is scarred in places, and the color is splotchy. Received no aftercare instructions from my artist. Will not be going back.

However, after interacting with them a few more times their true colors have been shown.Very unprofessional, mismanaged, take forever to get back to you, artist doesnt show up for appointments, they then lie to your face and make excuses.Go somewhere else!!

They promised us we would be able to get tattoos for the $26 sale, and then when we called again just half an hour before they told us to me there, they told us we wouldn’t be able to come in and get tattoos. if you can’t promise we will get tattoos, then DONT.

Went to visit my mom from Boston to get a Bruins tattoo. I was skeptical about this place but Melissa was amazing. One of the best artists I have ever seen. The tattoo came out flawless.

My sister and i got our belly buttons pierced here and the piercer did not tell us we did not have the correct anatomy and pierced us anyway.

My girlfriend got erin to do a tattoo for her. she showed her something like what she wanted and erin said she would draw something up of her own, she eventually did the tattoo and now we know that she got it from Pinterest and now many other people have the tattoo.

Told us that the minimum price was $50 for anything less than an hour. Charged $80 for a single word that took 10 minutes, and another $80 for another tattoo that took 30 minutes. Deceptive pricing.
