Got my very first tattoo today!!! I was super nervous but the energy there was amazing! Everyone was super friendly and kind and made the entire process easy. Plus Jordan is freaking hot 🥵 and he was very gentle knowing it was my first time!Here’s my tattoo! Jordan did a great job!

I just wanted to share my experience going to Shaka tattoo and I hope this never happens to anyone else. I want to personally thank Brian for not finishing your work you agreed to and ghosting. If i knew this was going to be the end result I would have never even committed to attempting to starting over.If you’re a tattoo artist and you see my post I hope you NEVER EVER treat your client such as he did. Here’s my experience below ⬇️A few years ago, I decided to remove a tattoo that I wasnt happy with after six years—I decided to give laser removal a try. Unfortunately, only fading occurred; it was still noticeable, prompting me to explore options for covering it up. I contacted several artists in January, but most hesitated to work over the existing tattoo. However, I found Brian at Shaka Tattoo, who seemed enthusiastic about the challenge.Initially, Brian quoted me $1,000.00 to complete the tattoo. He asked when I wanted to start, and I told him that the price was too much for me at this time and that I would need to schedule it out a bit. Brian then quoted me the flat rate of $500.00 if I could schedule it now. Due to the level of pain and scar tissue, he suggested splitting it into multiple sessions for that rate. I paid the $500.00 at the time of the first session. After the first session, communication with Brian became difficult, and I struggled to schedule follow-up appointments. Despite confirming my appointments, he had multiple cancellations, and I often had to wait over an hour past my scheduled time.During one session, Brian overbooked himself, leaving me waiting and receiving only 30-45 minutes of work. He made NO acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience when I expressed my concerns.Attempts to address the situation with Brian or his mother, who appeared to manage the shop, were met with indifference and rudeness. I was even threatened with a ban from the shop if I left a negative review.Overall, Im deeply disappointed and feel disrespected. Sharing my experience is essential to prevent others from having similar issues.

This is the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to !! It’s very clean and has amazing artists that make the place feel so cozy and comfortable ❤️ My artwork was done by Bryan “Stone”. I’m so in love with my tattoos, he did such an amazing job on them, I will be coming back to this shop for future tattoos !

Went to other shops in Evansville and Owensboro, no body wanted to talk with me to see what I wanted. Handed me a card and said. Get online and fill out. Not very welcoming . Found Shaka Tattoo online and drove over to shop. Immediately was greeted by TJ as soon as I walked in. We talked for a good 30 min to find out what I was wanting. I felt very comfortable that he was the man to do my tattoos. Set up appointment and I was very impressed with the final tattoos. Still need him to finish up on my sleeve. But he is the man to do it. I will be going back..

I walked in today without an appointment and they got right to me. My tattoo wasn’t huge or expensive but it is important to me. My artist, Bryan was patient and understanding of placement and size. I was cold due to me being under dressed for the weather and Jason gave me a blanket to keep me warm during my visit! It was a great experience all around! Thank so much!

TJ did exactly what I wanted, he made my tattoo look better than the reference picture I showed him! Very welcoming shop, all of the artist were professional and friendly, I’ll definitely be back!

Extremely pleased with the Customer Service Artist Ashley Monarch provided! She remastered a tattoo done by another local artist. She listened to my concerns and did her thing!!! Her vision and talent are a force to be reckoned with! Earned a customer for life!

I have been to numerous tattoo parlors around the country and Shaka Tattoos is easily in my top three. Shaka tattoo is everything that is good about tattooing. Everyone at the shop is super friendly, the vibe is awesome, and the artists are excellent. Pretentiousness does not exist at this shop like it does at other shops in the area; just great artists who truly want to give their clients excellent tattoos. Jason did my work and I could not be happier with the experience. Will definitely be back!!

Been tattooed here multiple times. Theyre awesome at what they do and down to earth people. Cant recommend them enough!!

Absolute trash business. My wife made over $800 of t-shirts, hoodies, sticker and koozies for his shop as payment for a tattoo. He canceled on her NINE times (sometimes with us sitting in his parking lot a half hour after he was supposed to be there. When confronted he backed out of doing anymore work on her and was as ugly to a woman as a man can be behind a keyboard. His mother does permanent eyeliner and also made a deal for a store front sign for work on my wife. After the owner would not work on her anymore his mother also decided to not honor her deal also. So the have over $1,000 dollars of stuff my wife made and all she has is a half finished tattoo and half finished eyeliner. The mother even private messaged my wife telling her to go f__k herself. Absolutely unprofessional and ugly greedy thieves. I can and will add screenshots of the conversations of getting canceled 9 times and of his mothers very rude messages. The whole deal was to do a tattoo for the clothing that he sold in his store and is now unwilling to honor the deal same as his mother.

Ashley did phenomenal on my tattoo. Very professional and put her own twist. Absolutely love her work and i found my artist from here on out. Thanks for the amazing piece! Great shop dynamic and crew!!!

Stopped in and I couldnt be happier with the work Brian did. First off, he was welcoming! Which doesnt happen often in Tattoo shops. He would have taken me in right away, but I opted to come back the next day. I just wanted a simple tattoo of my sons names and a heart. Simple, but he took his time. He was easy to talk to and very professional. I am so happy I stopped in and now that I had a great experience, I cant wait to get started on a bigger piece. If you need any work done, Go to Shaka! Everyone was nice and just all around fantastic!

Went in today and “Catfish” Dustin Fuqua finished a Tattoo that Bailey had started a couple months back. The tattoo was a mess to say the least and I thought I was gonna be stuck with this awful tattoo for life. Catfish reached out to me though and offered to make it right and that he did. I honestly don’t think anyone but Catfish could have transformed this ugly mess to the piece of artwork it is now today! Thank you so much I couldn’t be happier!!!🔥🤩🥳😃

Shaka tattoo shop did really good work on mine, my sister and my cousins tattoo and even though we ran into a mishap, they responded right away and fixed the situation. I truly recommend them because they care about satisfying three customers

Everything about Shaka was absolutely amazing!!! The whole vibe was really great along with the people and the pricing! Brian did my tattoo today and I’m in absolute awe is how wonderful it is! He asked about my tattoo and what it was and we talked about the significance it held to me. I haven’t gotten that experience anywhere else and I really appreciated that he took the time to really understand how much this piece meant to me. They really treat you like a friend, talking to you and making you feel very comfortable around all of them instead of feeling like an awkward business transaction! I will 100000% be back and recommend them to everyone!

By far the friendliest shop I have ever walked into they were quick to help me, and see what I wanted. They didnt push nothing on me and let me decide upon what I wanted. I went and got a Daith tattoo because of headaches and Ashley helped me in particular. She came highly recommend from Dustin Benoit and I can see why. She was very friendly, professional, and the piercing didnt even hurt this time. It has definitely helped with my headaches and I am very grateful to both of them. I highly recommend her!

TJ was awesome on Friday the 13th!!! I Hadnt gotten a tattoo in 18 1/2 yrs.. the tattoo I got has special meaning to me and was lucky they had it on the Friday the 13th sale!! I love it!! Anytime Ive visited this shop all the artist have been friendly, knowledgeable and ask lots of questions to make sure they get the customer what they want.

Got two half sleeves from TJ, a leg piece from Brian. And more to come. Not only is it professional work but they’re true professionals in their character. The atmosphere is uplifting and always positive! “Shaka” comes from a term in Hawaii meaning “hang loose” and this shop represents that and also the term ”Ohana”, being family oriented.My braddahs 🤙

Bad service honestly, I booked a appointment with the owner for him to do a tattoo and he didnt even show up then they tried to make some girl do my tattoo whos work Ive never seen before plus she already had a client and told me I could wait for 2+ hours. Thank God I didnt get a tattoo there because after the fact I saw many negative reviews and post on Facebook of the staff being rude or messing up tattoos/ not giving proper after care.

If I could leave no stars I would have my fiance had a half sleeve done and the work he(Brian.B.)did was not great so now have to go somewhere else to get it fixed he said free touch ups but never replys and still never fixed the mistakes he made she even sent other people his way and he messed theirs up as well she will not be returning nor will she never refer anyone one else not to mention we paid up front so you would think that we come first before a walk in but that isnt how it paned out plus he never stayed focused I understand that life happens but when you run a business especially a business that puts something permanent on your body you need to keep you head in the game

Today I got a tattoo on my left back arm by Terry Baughn and I absolutely love it. It came out better then I expected. He was very efficient and professional. Thanks Terry! Even though I live out of state, I will certainly tell my friends and family out here in Owensboro about you guys!

My husband received a Tatto from Dustin Catfish Fuqua and it is awesome. The attention to detail is amazing. He did a full chest piece in one sitting. Catfish is one of the best uprising tattoo artist in the area. He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows. I highly recommend you ask for Catfish for your next tattoo.

Made an appointment, called to confirm and was told that he had me down for the following weekend. I let it go. Called to confirm a few days before my appointment to confirm and he confirmed. Showed up before 8:30pm. No one at the shop. Tried calling and went to voice-mail then texted. He read the message several minutes later but never responded. Waited till 9pm and went home. He never called nor messaged to apologize or explain. New business but cant succeed if you stand up clients who could have brought more business and not gotten this bad review!!
