David is absolutely wonderful to work with he did my tattoo awhile ago and I still get asked to this day if I just recently got it. He’s great with detail and listens to what you want can’t wait for the next piece

Worst experience ever! Booked with the owner of the shop, Davidwands himself. I wanted the Greywash master tattoo artist, so I picked him. I explained the tattoo in great detail. I have text messages and many photos to prove what I said; With even my wife as a witness for what I said in person. I got apprenticeship level art, I can’t believe I paid $1,525 for this. Originally was supposed to be a full-2 day tattoo experience, with weeks of preparation. Absolutely failed me, I was just a payday for him. The next day I had to outline some art on my iPad at the hotel, and told him to do negative art. Because it’s “ALL BLACK”!!There’s no “GREY in it. After admitting he messed up, offered 50% off, which was not the case btw “$1,525”. Did not even finish the top part around the elbow. So I am supposed to get a $1,525 tattoo fixed by someone else? This is so depressing, his excuse was that he didn’t know anime and was just following the photos. Sir, you were supposed to listen to me? I never said tattoo the photo to specification? I thought you were a Greywash master tattoo artist?Edit: Because I am unable to reply to your comment, I will reply here.1. We did most of our talking via telephone and in person, if you want to post our conversations. Please do. I confirmed everything in person.2. All the photos I sent in this review are indeed in our chats via Instagram.7. After paying the $200 deposit for both days weeks in advance before our appointment, you waited until August 31st, 2024 to send the design. Just one day before our session was to start.3. After reaching out to you via Instagram, after the tattoo appointments, because I was disappointed, you said you recorded the whole encounter and threatened to post it. Also, without my consent to even record me??3.5. We did all our conversations in your tattoo room, the only surveillance possible, and you never told me I was being recorded. But..4. I said If you send me the recording and if you can prove I said something I didnt say, I would admit I was at fault. I am still waiting for this!!! Tell me I didnt say what I said!!5. I had stated in person I wanted the shading for all the characters the same and showed you the photos in person. Nothing black was shown to you for the shading of characters6. The photo that shows the characters with black shading was only for reference, to show originally how I wanted both characters side by side. But, your design that you sent me I did like better, I liked how you but one on top of the other. But, again, it was for reference only. Shading wasnt supposed to be black.

Honestly loved my experience here. David was absolutely the best and made sure everything was going good during the tattoo. Plus a bonus was having a marvel movie play while getting tattooed. Would 100% go back again for my next tattoo

David has done a few pieces on me over the years and I have always been super happy with his work. I constantly get stopped and asked to see my arm and everyone tells me how good it looks even almost 9 years later. His shop is always clean and organized as well as everyone in there are always beyond helpful and professional. I would and have recommended this shop to anyone!!

Had a great experience at GreyWash Ink this week. Went with 2 friends and they were able to get all 3 of us in at the same time and all of their artists did an amazing job! GreyWash will definitely be my go to tattoo and piercing shop in the future. The owner David was so nice and accommodating!

I came here for Friday the 13th, very excited to be disappointed. From the start the female host was rude to me but pretty helpful and kind to others, brushed it off but when she helped me she said $40 for my tattoo but after waiting hours, the female artist said the price isnt right and its $80 and when she asked the host, the host had her back to me the whole time saying thats what she said $80 when in fact the number 80 was never said. Waste of time discussing. Only chill people there were the guys they were kind and helpful more than the females. So if you do come here i recommended the males2 stars for the guys

My softball team and I went in for team tats on week day. David and Jakolby were really kind and attentive to all of us! They were able to accommodate to all of us and the tattoos were painless. I would definitely come back for another tattoo or piercing!

After looking at his other portrait work, I contacted David Wands to replicate the album artwork for Blue by Joni Mitchell. I had this idea for years, she is hands down my favorite musician and Ive listened to this album almost my whole life. He did a beautiful job, this was three or so years ago. I have gotten compliments on it almost everyday since then, most people arent familiar with her or the album but agree its amazing work. There has actually been three or four people who have recognized it right away though and were thrilled, its given me an opportunity to share the joy she brings me with new people now. Im going to see her for the first time in concert in a couple days and Im with this group of other fans who Ive proudly shown it to and they all think its phenomenal. Im so happy I trusted him and he did such a great job. Thank you, David! I only have three tattoos total and this is definitely the largest, most detailed, and all around best one. I will probably go to him for my next tattoo as well. The first photos are from right after I had it done three years ago, the last photo is from a couple days after I wrote this!

I got my ta-tas peirced a few weeks ago by Pauline and she did absolutely amazing!! She set everything up pretty fast and was very professional about the way she went about everything and was so kind when talking to me about the sizes and the way she was going to peirce it! I give the pain level a 4/10 she did so good and the healing process was amazing ! Definitely recommending her and the shop to friends and family so go check out her Instagram page to see her work!!

Me and a party of two friends went to get piercings done by Pauline. She was two hours later for our appointment and spent another 15 minutes talking to people before we even got started. I wanted my tongue, one party member wanted their eyebrow, and the other their nostril. The piercer attempted to pierce me twice without using any sort of clamp for my tongue before telling me I didn’t have the anatomy for it. She didn’t have the correct jewelry on hand for eyebrow piercings to account for swelling, and the nostril piercing came out crooked. The piercer did refund our deposits but over all we are really dissatisfied with our piercing experience here

Had my tattoo done by David. Absolutely loved how it turned out! From the first time I walked in to the time I walked out, he was inviting, curteous, answered all of my questions, and met all of my expectations. Purchasing was seamless and hassle free. Started and finished my first sleeve tattoo with Bren and I couldn’t be more excited with how this tattoo turned out! He is friendly, on time, and a cool guy to have a conversation with while he’s doing your tattoo. He did amazing work on my tattoo and it turned out phenomenal. I asked Bren to finish a tattoo that another artist had started because I loved his work and was confident that he knew the direction my piece should go in. Bren absolutely exceeded all of my expectations as to what this tattoo could be. Not only is he very talented, but he is also extremely professional. He killed it with the black, white, and color. I look forward to getting more ink from him in the future! The shop was also very clean and safe, and the other artists were nice.

If you’re looking for a true artist- Bass (like the guitar) is your guy.I put in an inquiry with a rough idea of what I was looking for (including a few reference photos of things I liked) and Bass reached out very quickly. He created a custom piece my brain never could have imagined. His communication with me was on point, and I could immediately tell he is reliable, truly cares about his craft, and wants to give his clients the best piece possible. He was open to hearing my feedback on the design and placement, but he didn’t even need my confirmations- all of his suggestions were spot on. Throughout our session, he explained exactly what he was doing, but I didn’t even need it. I trusted him 100%. In addition to that, he’s such a unique dude and was both easy and interesting to talk to as he worked.During both the design and outlining process I could quickly see Bass’ attention to detail and level of perfectionism. He took the time to place and replace the stencil, piecing each section together to create the perfect whole image. This takes time, but it is 100% worth it.After our session was complete, Bass was more concerned with properly bandaging and sharing aftercare info with me than taking photos for his social media. In the past, I’ve had other tattooers so focused on getting the perfect image to post on their Insta, and they forgot to making sure I was set up to heal properly afterwards.Don’t wait- run to book your appointment with Bass. They are a professional out for sure and very organized. Set your consultation appointment up online before you go in by reviewing each artist and selecting the artist you like for your consult.I had Dave Wands because I wanted a nice black and greywash piece and hes been excellent. Coordinating and communicating our appointments, chill dude to conversate with and hes got a TV set up to throw on a movie to make the time pass. As far as the ink work, excellent. Gives solid post care instruction that has kept my tattoo in good shape. I have a second appointment set 2 weeks from now to get it finished and Ill post a pic with the results.

Went in to do some more work on my sleeve. David took on the job and we still not done, cause Im doing allot more with him. He does great work, so if you want to get down here will bless you. I promise you that. Now my wife is going to him as well, to finish up her back piece. He really knows what he is doing. Has a great eye for detail.

Just had a desert-themed half-sleeve done by David, the owner. This was by far the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. David was able to take a fairly vague idea from me and turn it into a unique and amazing piece of art, at pricing that is very reasonable. I wish I could have given this place 5 stars but they are a 1 star operation! It all starts with management and good customer service, this tattoo shop lacks both. If a human gives up their skin to this place that is a pretty serious risk, and when it goes bad who do you turn to? The boss/owner/tattoo guy does not even respond to complaints. They ignore complaints and just think the situation will go away. If only they had taken responsibility and responded this could have all been avoided. A note to all future people looking for tattoos and piercings please just go somewhere else. They use Cashapp, venmo and Square so you know this is amateur hour, really bad energy and bad vibes here. Whatever you do, do not get a piercing at this place.

Had the pleasure of working with David for my Tattoo. From the time I setup my appointment with David I knew I was going to receive something special. These guys are so incredibly professional and kind. I went in to have a piercing corrected (issue caused by another shop) and they got me in right away. Sam was very patient and talked me through the whole process. I will absolutely be back for any future piercings. Shout out to Sam for doing a great job!

I’ve worked with Bren for years. He is always prepared ahead of time with stencils and designs but is more than willing to accommodate any detail work I’ve wanted to alter. It’s great to work with professionals that take their time and make sure their work is top tier. This artist has a brilliant selection of color, knows how to pack black and blends like a champ. I recommend all of my friends to him and will continue to get inked by him for years to come.

Worked with David (owner) and the name is greywash for a reason, he takes time to truly have a lot of shading adding needed detail. He is very flexible, and His room is also great with a TV for the long sessions. I have now received 2 tattoos from Jane/Evgeniia with an upcoming appointment for number 3 and there will be many more to come. She has the most wonderful light touch. I have many tattoos and the ones from her hurt the least. Her style is so feminine and unique while still appealing to every gender and aesthetic. She is so fun to work with. The shop itself is always clean and inviting and all the staff are friendly. Always a great experience coming to this shop.

I came in, in need of a revamp of a tattoo that I was not happy with. David took my half sleeve and turned into a whole new masterpiece!!! David, youre awesome!!!That was my review 4 years ago. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, December 6th, 2021. went back to David for another piece.. small since was a tribute to a loved one I lost. Nothing but professional and his piercer took the time and extended her condolences as well. Thanks David, again, youre awesome!!!!

This tattoo studio has a chill/friendly atmosphere and is sanitary! My tattoo artist was George Barron and he was awesome to work with! He listened to all of my requests and made my tattoo better than I could imagine. In my experience, he had informed me of things that he thought would make my tattoo look better in the long run, so he keeps your best interest in mind, but will ultimately let you choose whether or not you take his advice; so no pressure with him. All in all, he is very customer oriented, thus making sure that the tattoo that he designs fully satisfies you. George is also very friendly and funny; really knows how to keep up a good conversation so that there won’t be an awkward silence for a whole couple of hours. I will definitely be going back to him for my next tattoos!

GreyWash Ink is one of the best tattoo places in town!! I’ve known the owner for a long time and he’s extremely talented!!! I have multiple pieces done by David, he’s also the owner. I’m not just being nice because he’s a friend of mine either. He is an incredible artist, I trust him enough to do freehand tattoos and give him ability to be open creatively when he’s tattooing me. I’ve never walked out after a session and been disappointed in the creativity in his artwork. He’s amazing when it comes to transferring my ideas into beautiful pieces of art work that I get to wear for a lifetime. He’s got major skills when it comes to tattooing, he’s got a very special gift. I haven’t allowed anyone else to tattoo me since he did his first piece on me and it will stay that way until I run out of room on my body or he’s done tattooing. The shop looks great and he’s got a lot of great talent working in the shop as well! The energy in the place is great, the art on the walls is beautiful!! He did great style wise but he messed up. I was very clear on the color order I wanted. I told him 3 times how I wanted it. Im squeamish so when he said he was done I looked down and the colors were swapped. When I told him he said oh well. I think it looks better this way. I dont care how it looked to him, its on MY body forever. I still get irritated when I look at it.

Jane is amazing! Ive been wanting to get a tattoo from her since January but that has to be put off. She is the best tattoo artist Ive been to. Not only is her detail work amazing, she is a great person to just chat with. Made me forget I was getting a tattoo. Just felt like I was chatting with a friend. George Barrons did a tattoo for me in May 2020. I had an idea of what I wanted, but wasn’t sure of how it would best be carried out. He was great with helping me come up with a design I wanted, and he made sure I didn’t feel pressured to get a design I wasn’t sure of. Once I decided on the tattoo, he helped me with choosing the best placement. Overall a great experience and I love my tattoo!

The staff is wonderful the shop is clean. We needed percing checked and sized as the peice fell out months ago. We spoke with David and he was very professional and seemed very trustworthy. He directed us to his piercer Tabby, she took my wife right back checked the hole and got it sized appropriately. We were in and out in a matter of minutes. I had time to take a look at some of the artists portfolios and was very impressed with the artists at the shop. 10 out of 10 would use again.

Jorge (George) is a phenomenal artist and very professional. Ive had more than half a dozen sessions with him and I cant say Id go to anyone else... unless a design I wanted is too far from his art style. That being said, Id still stick with Greywash. Ive met every one of the artists and staff including the owner, theyre all great, friendly and professional.Highly recommend Jorge and Greywash!

All the artists, as far as I’m concerned, are private contractors (meaning that they are kind of their own boss). This is perfectly fine but just know that if anything happens or something like that, David (the owner last I checked) is very professional and takes the clients opinions to heart. The bad reviews can be a little scary but don’t knock it till you tried it, I didn’t and now I have a badass tattoo and my girlfriend has a killer piercing.

George is amazing! I originally went to him asking for more detail on some boring tattoos done by a different tattoo artist at a different location. He nailed it! Now hes working on a large piece for me. Besides being extremely talented, hes a blast to talk to too.

I recently got my first larger piece here by the wonderful George and I couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out!!! He was great at listening and asking questions to create exactly if not better than what I had in mind for this piece. George was so detailed and gentle, I would 100% recommend him to anyone and will definitely be getting more work done by him in the future!!!

Needed my Tattoo fixed after 4 years of waiting and Brendon greeted us at the door and said yes I got ya. Its a decent size Tattaoo and he dived rite it and I have to say Wow! I was very impressed with his work, did way better work than the last guy had done on my arm. Basically fixed all his bad lines and made it 100 times better. Super nice guy and so was everyone else there! Going back in 2 weeks to have it done. Highly recommend this place, I stopped in at on other place before here and was kind of pushed out the door. So happy to have stopped in at Gray wash the price he charged me was way lower than I thought and the work he did was better than expected! So happy I met these guys! Great place! Good people!!!!!!!!

Went to the owner, David Wands, for a large coverup piece. At least 10 other shops said I had very limited options in what I could cover it with and weren’t up to the task. I spoke with David and he said whatever I wanted he could do. So he threw together a beautiful piece for me and covered it up. The work is beautiful. Shop is clean and the people are friends. David is great. I’ll be contacting him soon to finish up a sleeve for me.

George Barron has incredible attention to detail and is very professional! He did some small birds and a cross on my temple. People are constantly telling me that they normally despise face/head tattoos but that the one he gave to me is incredible with all the little details and the placement. You have to really trust a guy to let him tattoo your face, and I trust George. I have felt uncomfortable in the past with previous tattoo artists being too flirty or making the situation awkward and uncomfortable. George is very professional and focused on his work and will make you feel right at home.

Very clean shop. Friendly people with various styles of art. Ive looked at each artists portfolio and they do some amazing tattoos. Jane did great matching tattoos on my wife and her sister. Reccomend that you get any of their artists work on something custom for you of you are looking for some great ink. Not recommended to try and get quotes over the phone. In person consultation is always the best for placement and to make sure you get what you want, its also easier for the artist to see the area you are looking to get tattooed. Awesome shop, stop by and get some ink!

Not all Tattoo place are the same. Deciding to make my first tatt go right was driving me nuts; my original idea got lost in transfers, and did not look right! Thx U…Bren, Chingu, for having confidence, and willing to help, execute, and deliver. The touch up was better than expectation. Bren was nice, friendly, and easy to converse with. I like their set hours, they are on time, and great communication.

Had an excellent experience here. Came with my disable roommate who is in a wheelchair, and needless to say, I was nervous about how she would be looked at and treated. Ive had some very negative experiences at tattoo shops - it seems quality customer service is definitely not customary in this industry - but Graywash Tattoo really stuck out in terms of how kind, accepting, knowledgable and friendly the staff/tattoo artists were. I personally had Christina as my tattoo artist and she did a great job. Sherri (not sure if Im spelling it correctly), the receptionist, was also very warm and friendly. As long as Im in Phoenix, I will not go anywhere else for tattoo work. Thank you!

STabitha is the BEST! I took my 9 year old to her for her 1st ear piercing and she was so patient, kind and comforting especially when my daughter hesitated on getting her second ear done. One of the worst tattoos Ive ever gotten. Horrible experience from start to end. Line work was horrible. Slanted letters on one leg that doesnt match the other. Had two done on my quads for my grandpas that past away and neither look the same. Halos dont even match. Half the letters are faded away already with some missing lines in the letters. He was Over a hour late and then made me sit in the chair for another hour waiting while he went back and fourth from the bathroom. Came out sweating each time. And was all over the place. Pretty sure dude was high out of his mind. Kept blaming it on his wife. Do not get tattooed by David

LUCKY IS AMAZING. Ive never gotten a tattoo by him but from what i see his tattoos are so great. I went to him for percings. Usually when I go to get piercings the piercer takes their time and it hurts but he did it so quick I didnt feel pain. After he had pierced me he put the piece of jewelry in my lip and he was honest and said it didnt look good the way it was sticking out I agreed with him and he fix the problem and I am very happy with my piercing. So I went back to him today and he pierced my nose and gave me an industrial piercing and it looks so freaking good I am going to keep going back to him I am a happy customer. :) oh as you can see I definitely recommend him LOL

I got a piercing & a tattoo. Both were bad experiences. The piercing person was very rude and made me uncomfortable. The bald tattoo guy seemed like he missed prison and had trouble tracing the simple tattoo design. My skin is ruined but hopefully you will take yours elsewhere!
