Olde Penn Ave. Tattoo Co.

I went to old Penn Ave Tattoo because I saw their tattoo apprentice Lulu’s flash designs and loved a few of them.It was my first tattoo so I wasn’t at all sure what to expect. Lulu was amazing! She talked me through every step, was very personable and we had great conversations. It is a very cool venue and she made the experience very fun. I will absolutely be giving Lulu and the team at Old Penn my business in the near future. Can’t recommend enough!

I really wanted another tattoo and heard good reviews about Olde Penn and Justin was able to fit me in! I brought my best friend with me to have company lol but, he both offered us some sweet treats and listened to our favorite music! Justin has very cool collectibles in his studio and very chill guy! 10/10 would come back to Justin again!

Absolutely love this place and have been traveling here to get my tattoos for years. The reason I continue to come back aside from awesome atmosphere here is because of WILL!!!! Will has time after time has killed every tattoo he has done. Every time I go, i leave with the biggest smile and have people complement the tattoos that he has done for me. He got the perfect hand, not too heavy not too light, so your skin doesnt get chewed up or dealing with unnecessary pain or even the ink not sticking. He creates exactly what you want for your tattoo while going above and beyond to give you the best experience.

I love this place, jess is absolutely amazing she has done all 3 of my current tattoos and i love them she is very gentle and is super sweet and nice. Definitely will be booking with her again soon!! I 100% recommend Jess if your looking for a tattoo artist for your next tattoo

Went in to get my conch pierced and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. Very clean environment, you could even smell how clean it was in there, rare for a majority of the shops in the area. Beautiful placement of the equipment, great use of space. Kind and friendly employees. Would gladly go back. I wish I would have gotten the name of the tattooer/piercer before I left, but he was awesome!

Jess did such an awesome job on my tattoo, it’s exactly what I wanted and then some…I absolutely love it! She made the whole experience super comfortable and she was great to talk to. I’ll never go anywhere else 😊

Me and my bestfriend decided to get tattoos very last minute and Justin was willing to fit us in, my best experience by far and he provided an amazing atmosphere, I’ve never been so comfortable highly recommend him!

Got my cartilage pierced here about two days ago and it’s already healing so good, the piercer was so nice and made me feel comfortable, cleaned the seat in front of me, and made it a quick, easy, and painless piercing! Below are the photos of right after and two days after.

Will tattooed me years ago at the old shop he used to work at. He does not know needle depth once so ever he completely ruined my tattoo. From digging way to far down. Caused me to get an infection because there was open wounds. Because he ripped away layers of my skin. Completely mortified i did not get tattooed for years. Needless to say finally found someone who covered up my tattoo from hell. Was the most painful experience ever due to the scar tissue and damage from what he did. The new tattoo will never be perfect because the scar tissue has left my skin all sorts of mangled. Be very careful on artist who you pick.

If I could give more stars, I would. I ABSOLUTELY love this place. Ryan is amazing, as are the other artists whose work I’ve seen. My sessions are a min of 4-5 hours and it feels like I’m there for an hour. Professionalism is maintained while still giving the feeling of comfort. This is by far the cleanest shop. My tattoos are always complimented. People are blown away by the detail. Whenever anyone is searching for a tattoo shop, I recommend Old Penn Ave without hesitation.

The tattoo I got was done too deep and has to be redone as all the lines are blown out as well as being extremely patchy with ink fill overall. The worst tattoo Ive gotten in 20 years.

I’ve gotten so many piercings here by Will and he’s the best, I always have random questions and he’s happy to answer them, the shop is a great environment

Customer wise, the gentleman who did a septum piercing for me was a very nice guy overall. However he did not pierce my septum correctly, and it was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had. He ended up piercing through cartilage. Lucky for me, after I took it out months later to let it heal. And I was able to get my septum re-pierced by an actual professional, and it’s now at the right spot.

I drive all the way from the edge of NJ and NY 3 hours to see Dario for my tattoos! Nothing beats having an artist that is easy and non intimidating to work with! He draws all my work custom! Ive been getting tattoos by him for 15 years and have sat for more hours than I can count... This is my favorite shop hes been at! I love the ambiance and chill vibes! Its located in a good spot so that on a break you can grab a quick bit or latte just walking across the street!

Old Penn Ave. Tattoo Co. is hands down, the best spot to get your ink done. By far the best shop in Berks County. Every artist in there, whether its Ryan, Dario, Will, Dallas, Jess etc. They can handle whatever style youre looking for. Their work speaks for itself. Just do yourself a favor and check it out. Do your research. You honestly wont regret it.

Will refused to give me a touch up that he promised to give me. Took my money no problem tho ! he doesnt respond to messages on time. Claims that he takes his job seriously but avoids his clients and is soo professional he will blame you for the reason hes unprofessional. I do not recommend. Its ashame bc it really is a nice spot and hes giving the shop a bad name.

Do not go here for nose piercings. The guy did mine so low. Even after I told him he said that’s how they go. Regret getting it done here. It looks so dumb on my nose. Also they didn’t have good earrings. Waste of $40 plus tip.
