Very rude owners ..stay away I was comparing prices and found the original St Augustine local woman Ms. Deborah to have a more reasonable price for piercing and she called her cheap and cheap isnt good , and she basically called me cheap all cause I told her the price was 60 compared to her 75 and if she was competitive , and she rudely responded to my inquiry a no sorry would have been understandable,and also considering Im a St Augustine beach local, its people and busines like this one who took away the good vibes of our lost community, use to be a time locals looked out for one another ,, stay away from these rude people rude people are bad vibes and bad vibes could never run a tattoo or pierce me with all the spiritual and meanings behind this art form cant mix my blood and water with your bad vibes....

Lance did an incredible job with my tattoo. He held true to the quote he gave me and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. As my first “bigger” tattoo on my ribs, it was a breeze. He was honest with how certain details would age with time and he was very accommodating. Would definitely come back, I had a great experience here.

My two friends and I came here to get some impulsive birthday tattoos, had the best experience. We were able to walk in and Madison and Cam were our artists. They had great insights on how to design our tattoos and were very accommodating. The tattoos turned out amazing, exactly what we were looking for and both had a very light hand. Will definitely make this my go-to tattoo spot!!

He was very intentional about making sure the design was perfect, and then he executed it beautifully. I had a wonderful experience getting tattooed by Kait! Throughout the consultation and tattooing process, I felt extremely comfortable and at-ease. Kaits design is exactly what I wanted (it exceeded my expectations, to be honest) and the actual inking was so professional and smooth. The piece has healed beautifully, with no issues, itching, etc. Aftercare instructions were straightforward and Kaits advice was very reassuring. I traveled from CT for this appointment, and it was 1000% worth it. I hope to come back for my next tattoo!

My husband and I went to the 1770 location and saw Nicki for a few tattoos, she did matching Roman numeral tattoos for our wedding date, a minimalist style rose on his arm and an awesome dot work seashell on my arm, she was very professional, nice, and really knows what shes doing! We are so pleased will all the work she did and will deffinitly be back to see her! Another major plus is how clean and comfortable the shop is! We would for sure recommend electric chair tattoo!

Lance is a whole vibe! Raw, unfiltered, exciting. I wasnt even the person who got tattooed and I enjoyed the time I was there. He asks the right questions to get the idea(s) out of your head and into the sketch up process quickly. He makes sure its really something you want and will keep working with you until its perfect. He does real solid work and his prices were more than fair. Highly recommend the Aussie

Highly recommend getting tattooed by Kait!! She has done a few of mine so far and every session is so comfortable I feel like Im hanging out with a friend. She is super thorough with making sure youre happy with the design, size, placement and doesnt hesitate to make adjustments if needed. Katie is amazing and I hope they realize what a find they have in her! When we stopped in to check for availability Katie was so helpful in letting us know which artists were available and the type of work they do. I got lucky because Hosang had a cancellation for the next day and Katie informed me he was THE GUY for what I wanted. He did not disappoint, I love my new tattoo.My husband was able to schedule an appointment with Tomas for a pretty detailed tattoo and it turned out perfect!Both shops are extremely clean and we were pleased that only customers and artists are allowed in the shop and no spectators!

Electric Chair is a professional, clean, friendly, high quality tattoo shop. I am four sessions in on a back piece with John West and could not be happier with the design and process. The whole shop is full of talented artists and it is a very welcoming, open environment. Definitely recommend.

This was my first ever tattoo and Katie set the bar high!!! We are Florida natives but from the west coast no the east, and were visiting St. Augustine for the weekend and decided to get a small tattoo to make the trip for memorable. I was a bit nervous but Katie made the whole experience seem like it was a walk in the park! We already want to return for another, will see where time takes us but definitely do not regret stopping here.

Great tattoo shop. Very clean and professional. I got my first tattoo here with Jenna and she did an amazing job. She was very patient with me and explained the process and the healing procedures clearly, she also was very understanding when I ended up not feeling well during my first session and taking more time. I love this shop! Jenna is amazing and has made this such an awesome experience for me! I drive over an hour because she is absolutely worth it! She is kind, and very gentle. She did my first tattoo on my ankle and my second one on my side. I was very comfortable the entire time, and she made sure to ask if I was still doing ok. My ankle has healed beautifully, and my side is healing perfectly! I couldnt be happier and I will continue to come back for more work from Jenna! :)

My sister-in-law and I both got tattoos from Cody while we were in town. The staff is incredibly friendly from the first time we talked about booking our appointment all the way through. The studio is clean and you can tell that the artists take a lot of pride in their work. Cody did a beautiful job on both of our tattoos (you can tell hes a bit of a perfectionist). I would drive up here from out of town to get more work done again (and Im already planning it). I loved the original concept design and he managed to do an exquisite amount of detail even in small areas. Easily my new favorite tattoo, and my new favorite artist.

My experience wit The Electric Chair Tattoo shop was phenomenal. I chose to go to the shop on US 1 since it is closer to my residence. Everything was seamless from initial contact via email to a phone call to Danny to set up an appointment. Jeremiah graciously let Danny know he could see me within 20 minutes. I arrived at the US 1 location and Jeremiah was ready for me. He was very respectful , very kind and acted as if I were getting a $600 tattoo as opposed to the small Wrist Tattoo I wanted. He did an excellent job while being both professional and friendly. I would make an infomercial for this particular shop if they asked me to. Kudos, Jeremiah. You made my 1st experience with The Electric Chair Tattoo Shop memorable. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

GREAT QUALITY PEOPLE AND TATTOOS!!!!I recently got my first tattoo here, and from start to finish the experience was wonderful. As someone who didn’t have tattoos prior to coming, I was very nervous for what I had signed up for. I walked in and I was greeted by Brandon. After speaking to him about the details of my tattoo, he did everything he could to ensure that I was comfortable and as relaxed as I could’ve been. (Which wasn’t much at the time). Overall, the quality of the whole experience was amazing. From the greeting to the tattooing, this place has it together. I am so in love with my tattoo, and I could not have asked for anything more!

I got my first tattoo today, matching with my sister, and used Toni Briscoe. She did absolutely amazing. She made sure that I was okay, and talked to me about anything other than the tattoo to distract me if there was any pain. I would highly recommend using her for anyone who is wanting to get a tattoo done.

I got my quarter sleeve from Danny at the US-1 location about 6 months ago. I havent gotten around to writing a review, but I have to say....if I wont go to another tattoo shop again. Electric Chair is by far the best in town.I did months of research before deciding on an artist and I honestly couldnt be more happy with it.It was my first big piece, so of course I was nervous. But everything went so smoothly and Im so in love with my piece. Danny is the nicest guy and an amazing artist. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!

Katie is absolutely amazing. She took an idea I had and made it better than I ever could have imagined. I will definitely be going to her again to do my sleeve. She has a personality that puts you at ease and I had fun while getting tatted. So happy I found her!

We were in St. Augustine for a girlie week trip and my bestie wanted to get her first tattoo while I was getting another one. We looked up Electric Chair on the web and didn’t look at any other place.We went to the first one and Cindy was nice stating she didn’t have openings until later but directed us to their newest location on A1A. When we got there it was quiet, and charming. You could tell they were still setting up the place, but the shop was clean, decorated well, and everyone was very friendly. John was setting up a new tattoo chair when we expressed we wanted to both get little hearts. He finished putting he chair away and then helped us. He was super friendly, kind, talked to us and made the experience feel great. He set up to do our tattoos with clean and steril materials He did a small heart in red on my friend and a stitched heart on mine. He hand drew very well both of them and they both look amazing. The bikini shop in the same shop had a very friendly and nice girl making suits who talked to us as well. The music was good, the decor was super fun, and we both really enjoyed our experience with John a lot!

On 2/29/20 I had a very small tattoo done by Tomás Torres Silva for $100. I started having fall out on it about 2 1/2 weeks after it was done. It was my first tattoo so i wasnt sure what to expect. I called the store, sent a picture, and was assured it was still healing. I was told by Katie to give it more time and if the lines and color didnt come back Id need a touch-up. I explained that I lived in GA and was assured that it was ok just next time Im coming into town to give them a call. Covid closed everything down and the State of Florida was not allowing non-residents in until a few weeks ago. I call for my touch-up and Tomás told me that touch-ups are only free for 3 months. So, I have a horrible tattoo on my wrist that I get asked all the time why I got a weed! Its supposed to be a Shamrock! Lesson learned.... MAKE SURE YOUR TATTOO ARTIST GUARANTEES THEIR WORK!!

I went to the 1770 location for a Friday the 13th tattoo, and the place was packed. The entire crew was very upbeat and friendly, even when they had been working non-stop for several hours. Great vibe in the shop, its super clean, and well maintained. Nicki did an outstanding job, as I knew she would. Will definitely be coming back for more tattoos

If your looking for a place to get a tattoo, The Electric Chair is definitely not the place.1. They don’t pick up the phone to schedule a possible appointment.2. Don’t try walk-ins because they’ll just tell you to schedule an appointment on their website, and tell you to text the phone number that is listed, but I doubt they even look at it.3. You don’t get a call back on a possible appointment.4. Lastly they’ll just decline a call.I don’t understand how an establishment can’t be efficient with scheduling appoints, since I’ve heard all around area they have really good artists. Even from other tattoo shops! I’ve walked into two of our of their three shops, the people seem nice, but you will be surprised by how much they ignore possibly clients and little information they give on how to possibly contact or get an appointment scheduled.I’m just saying this since I’ve called the number at least 6 times, and have only gotten one response and said response hasn’t gone anywhere.So if your looking for a place to not waste your time, look for a different shop.

Electric Chair Tattoo is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever walked into. To this day I have had multiple tattoos done in this shop, the prices are reasonable, the work staff is pleasant and admirable and the atmosphere peaks every customers interest. To preface this, I do think the artists at this shop are amazing. I got a tattoo from Hosang a little over a month ago which healed well and I love it. I scheduled another appointment about two weeks ago for yesterday at 4pm. I showed up on time and was told another appointment was running behind close to an hour. I was annoyed but understood. At around an hour, I saw Hosang leave with another artist and clients to eat. At 5:40 he messaged and said he was still waiting on food. He came back to the shop and said my tattoo would take three hours. He offered my deposit back but I am extremely upset at how inconsiderate this is of my time. I drove 8h each way for the appointment and paid for an Airbnb. His lack of consideration of my time made it so that I was unable to get the tattoo as no Airbnb available had later check in. I spent a few hundred dollars between fuel and accommodation for a tattoo that didn’t happen. This was a huge investment of both my time and money. I understand appointments can run slightly over but I wasn’t informed before I showed up at the shop. Leaving to go to a restaurant while I was waiting was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend him due to his lack in professionalism.

10/10 in my book; affordable pricing and excellent service. As a walk-in an hour before they closed, John was able knock out a killer tat with beautiful line work. I will forever be in love with my meep and the story that comes along with it, only to be amplified by the artist who inked me.

I was visiting St. Augustine, and looked around for someone to do my first yahoo. I walked into Electric Chair Tatoo, and Brandon greeted me. Brandon was her personal, and outgoing, he made me feel at ease. He drew up what I wanted and did an excellent job. I love my first yahoo Brandon.

Excellent service here. Only in town for a couple of days but I walked in and got what I wanted that day. Work looks GREAT and the guy there is super easy to talk to. Very cool environment. I would go back over and over again. Dont worry about whether or not your ink will look good with this place, youll love it.

I would never go back there again. I texted the artist and set up a time to come in and get some work in that night...after driving all the way there and waiting for him to draw up the stencils and get ready to do it he says he noticed now he can’t do it due to time limit. I said u didn’t know the time when we first spoke on time. He kept using different excuses and every time i would prove a point he d come up with another excuse. I felt like all that time wasted i could of went to a different artist and had my work done. On top of it he was rude and not nice. I d never recommend my friends there nor will i go back.
