Had an awesome experience at Dandyland! I got four ear piercings done, and Miro was incredible. Super professional, calm, and made the whole process feel easy. He explained everything clearly and had a great eye for placement. The shop itself was clean and welcoming, and everyone there made me feel comfortable. I got my vertical labret pierced on August 10th by Jen and I could not have been any happier with my experience! This shop is so gorgeous and clean and I fully understand why it’s the best in the city. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Jen was fantastic in every step of the process, took so much time and consideration in marking my placement, making sure I loved it, and then made the actual piercing the quickest and easiest I’ve had besides my septum. She gave me no time to get too nervous and then it was done. I really appreciated the aftercare baggy too as I wasn’t expecting it. I then came back into the shop two weeks later to downsize my jewelry and Miro helped me pick out my perfect new jewelry and changed it out for me so quickly. This experience 100% guaranteed I’ll be back for every future piercing I have planned. Thank you guys!

Oml so good, I got my first tattoo here and it was done by Dani. She is so talented with her art/tattooing skills and customer service bcuz of how sweet she was. The tattoo came out better than i imagined and hurt less than i anticipated. Grateful for the entire experience and will fs be coming back someday 🔥🔥🙏

Had an absolutely wonderful visit with Jen! They helped me out with downsizing my high nostril piercings with ease. It was something I had been postponing since I was nervous to have those piercings handled. I was so wrong though because it was so easy. We even upgraded them to some elegant pieces.You do have to make appointment for services (even jewelry purchase) but it is sooo worth having an experienced piercer to take that time with you to guide you in jewelry choices!

Daughter got her ears pierced for her 5th birthday. The only place in town that I could find that would pierce a minor that young so you can imagine it was more on the expensive side but worth every penny. The place is incredible!! Very cool interior and such nice staff! For the minors piercing they required a birth certificate with the parents matching the last name on their ID. No other minors were allowed to come in to watch the piercing. Before the day of the piercing they required a separate appointment beforehand so the child can meet the piercer, get familiar with the equipment and the process.

Cheese did my chest piece and a piece on my back of his original designs. Good experience in a sophisticated studio that is clean and professional. Cheese is the best portrait tattoo artist in San Antonio I get compliments everywhere I go !

Clean and inviting place to go. I got my piercings by Jen who was amazing and very kind and thoughtful of my care during the entire process and making sure my piercings were as even as humanly possible. The jewelry is beautiful and ideal. Id definitely recommend making an appointment its easy and the staff is very kind when youre on the phone

If there is one tattoo shop that has never disappointed, its Dandyland. Josh is THE BEST when it comes to fine line work. I have never been so happy with the outcome of a tattoo. If youre looking for precision, make an appointment with him. Nothing is left to be desired.

Miro was very attentive, patient (especially since the septum ring I want was giving us both issues trying the thread the ball back on) and careful while stretching and inserting a new ring in my septum. Also used tapers to ensure what safe gauge size I’m currently at (previously had mine stretched 14 years ago, and wasn’t sure what size it currently shrank down to). Also gave me good advice for my plan of re-stretching back up. Very affordable, and I love the aesthetically pleasing “outpatient clinic” and provider to patient feel of the shop, 10/10 will be back in the future.

I got a nostril piercing with Frankie and it was a great experience! They were so patient and kind through the follow process and explained everything step by step. Frankie is a very skilled piercer and the piercing itself barely hurt and just felt like a pinch.

I got my ear lobes pierced as a child but the holes were uneven. Frankie redid my piercing and I finally have even looking lobes! The process was quick, sterile and pretty painless…nothing more than a pinch. Thanks, Frankie! You rock 😎

My bf and I love this place. Right when you walk in you can tell its clean just by smelling. They ask you to wash your hand when you enter which Ive never experienced at a piercing/tattoo place. I love it. Miro did my navel piercing. He actually checks to make sure you have the correct anatomy and sterilizes everything (shows u proof of sterilization). Hes a very quick piercer so you dont have to worry about it hurting so much. Everyone is very very kind.Dani did my bf tattoo and he loves it so much. She did amazing and she is so kind. Definitely will be back!

I called Dandyland on a Monday & was able to make a piercing appt that same afternoon. Frankie was so patient and helpful while I was picking out jewelry, I got anxious bc I’m indecisive, but she reassured me to take my time and make sure I liked the final look. I had three lobe piercings on each ear done from guns in the 90s and they have been problematic since day 1. Frankie didn’t try to push me to use the original holes with different jewelry. I’ve never loved my lobe piercings, but that is a sentiment from the past!My only issue was the lighting wasn’t great for my eyes to see details. Lots of underlight, except for above the piercing chair - it was bright andnever felt it was too dim for the employees to see their work. It’s totally a personal thing since I’m extra aware of “dusk”/dim lighting bc my eyes struggle with it.Their attention to cleanliness is beyond. Thank you Frankie!

The only place and people that I trust for piercings and jewelry assistance! I was most nervous for my nostril piercing, and Frankie made the entire process as smooth as possible. She was so patient, attentive, and really took her time to ensure that it was exactly to my liking. She also made a great suggestion on the piece of jewelry I got based on my taste. I’ve also had helix piercings done by Miro and switched out some jewelry on other piercings with Jen; both experiences were great as well! This is the only place I recommend when friends or family want to get piercings!!

I had a great experience here all together! I got my tattoo done by a great artist, Shane. He was very helpful, especially when finding the perfect placement for me. I don’t live in Texas, but I’m definitely going to making some trips back for future tattoos with Shane!

Our 6yo wanted to have her ears pierced and we knew we wanted to go to a real piercing parlor. We had Eric who was so kind, helpful, and educational when explaining to our daughter what to expect with the process. He got down on her level when talking to her when explaining, made sure that she was comfortable at the beginning, during, and end of the process. She was very excited about all the selection of jewelry and chose a really pretty periwinkle stone. Overall it was a very good experience, shes very excited about showing off her earrings and even commented that she cant wait until she turns 18 so she could go back and get a tattoo. LOL. We are very thankful for Eric and his expertise, and well make sure to tell everyone we know that anytime that they need a piercing to go to dandyland. (Everyone was VERY kind, and I will say that the place is very clean, even more so during these covid times. This is a place we will go to in the future for piercings or tattoo needs.)

I had a great experience here with Jen as my piercer!!! Not only was the environment very clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and honestly the decor is great inside!! I also love the sink in there. Pretty cool. Jen was very attentive, patient and thorough. I have never had an experience where I felt so comfortable and not rushed at all. Most of the time when I go to get pierced I’m rushed, the piercers are unfriendly and I don’t feel comfortable enough to advocate for myself. Jen is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She’s also very efficient. The piercing was quick, and I love the placement of my conch!! My little sister came with me and really enjoyed her time there as well. Had my first cartilage piercing done with Jen and I couldnt be happier! She was gentle and so nice! She made me feel super comfortable and in all honesty, my conch piercing didn’t really hurt. She was extremely professional and everything was clean and the environment was great. 10/10 recommend!

Had an excellent experience here from start to finish getting my 5 1/2 year old daughters first piercing and my second earlobe piercing. Jen was wonderful: very thorough with each stage of the process, and made the entire experience comfortable.Sidenote: As someone who does not frequent the tattoo & piercing market the final cost was a new one for me, but staff was transparent about their costs when we went in for my daughters consultation.We are happy with having gone to Dandyland and its staff for both a kids and adults piercing. My son and I visited the shop for a nose piercing consultation with Jen. She answered all our questions on safety, jewelry and the process. We happily scheduled an appointment and got both our noses pierced. It was a great mother/son experience and Jen was a pleasure. Her experience and safety allowed our piercings to heal nicely! We look forward to visiting again in the future for more piercings or my son’s first tattoo!

Got my first tattoo here and I love it, cant wait to get more. The experience itself was 11/10, too. Very relaxed in there and everyone is friendly/welcoming.☺️❤️Not sure I would recommend piercings here after my experience. I went in for a double helix. When they asked what my ideal jewelry was I said hoops. They looked at my ear and told me that I needed to start with hoops due to how my ears are shaped/folded. My piercings never healed and my ear was red and swollen and sensitive for about two years. It was often painful or uncomfortable and I was told that helix piercings just dont heal sometimes and/or to keep waiting because it would take a long time.I went into a different shop and asked for advice and explained what I was previously told. They said that there was no reason to start me with hoops- regardless of how my ears are. They also told me that the jewelry I picked at Dandyland was horrible for an initial piercing because it was textured/bumpy and it was gonna snag on everything (it did). I wish the original piercer had said something about that to me, I would have really benefitted from that advice.Anyways the new shop changed my jewelry for me. Literally the next day I could feel and see an improvement. Its been a few weeks now and my ear is actually healing. Its not swollen or red anymore. It doesnt bother me at all. Its a night and day difference. Im finally not embarrassed to wear my hair up. I thought I was going to have to give up on the piercings altogether and remove them, but Im so grateful theyre actually okay now.

I was pierced by Frankie in May of 2023 and i had an absolutely wonderful experience! they are awesome at making conversation and both of my piercings (a helix and a conch) were virtually painless due to her expertise. the shop itself also had insanely nice gold and titanium selection for me to choose from. overall i’d give frankie a 10/10 :)

This place is cool. Staff is super duper friendly .I have done peircing for my kid .she is 6. They explained me the process of cleaning and peircing. They explained me how to maintain well the newly peirced ear.my kid dint feel any pain, she didnt even flinch. Its about customer service they really cared and were very patient.They say the pricing upfront.no hidden costs. Very neat work. Really recommend this.

Took a Bad Moms trip to Dandyland and Went in with my 3 girl friends: three nostril and 1 chacha piercing and Miro was absolutely amazing! Definitely worth every penny! i got my vertical labret and snake bites repierced (got first pierced by a different piercer but were uneven) by Miro and my vertical philtrum pierced by Frankie. they treated piercing my face as if they were piercing their own face and i can confidently say that i have had 0 second thoughts on the placement of any of the piercings because theyre absolutely perfect. for sure the best piercing experience ive ever had ! 5⭐️s, forever going to be the only place i go to for piercings 👍🫶(added later: both Miro and Frankie are literally the nicest :) they both made getting a piercing feel so comfortable and happy thank you both yall are amazing people)

Jen was so AWESOME! I turn 60y/o this week and she helped me pick out the most beautiful piece of jewelry (14K + diamonds). I have always wanted my septum pierced, but my profession as an ICU RN I was unable to.Jen is so sweet and calm that she makes those who sit in her chair feel very relaxed. You need a piercing? JEN is your girl.I was having a midlife crisis and wanted some things re-pierced. Jen showed me that the piercings I thought were closed, are actually still open, and charged me less than her initial quote. She stated that she technically didnt pierce me, she just used a stretching technique.A less-educated piercer wouldve stabbed me without a second thought. Jens pricing also demonstrated that this was not a money grab. I definitely appreciate that, in this economy!You get what you pay for, folks. I can remember being pierced back in the day, with stainless steel (which is cheap, but contains nickel; not a lot of people realize that) that came OFF THE SHELF and was not autoclaved first *shudder* the games come a long way. Take this as your sign! Go see Jen!

My brother and I had custom tattoos done by Shane this weekend and everything about the process exceeded our expectations. First of all, the tattoos themselves look great. He worked with both of us to draft the initial artwork based on our detailed consultation. Shane was then patient while we made tweaks and played around with various placements and minor details. This was important considering the permanent nature of a tattoo. We felt minimal pressure throughout the whole process; comfort was key.Additionally, the shop was incredibly clean and felt inviting. The front desk staff was available to answer all questions and assisted with scheduling. Prices were right in line with a premium tattoo parlor without the pretentiousness. I got my snakebites pierced with Frankie, and oh my god. Her professionalism and kindness absolutely floored me. The best experience I’ve had with a piercer hands down. She gave me a bottle of saline spray and mouthwash for free, alongside an in-depth care routine sheet. When one of my snakebites unexpectedly swelled a lot more than the other when I was out of town, she recommended me a place in the area to get it professionally upsized (which was also an awesome place that treated me extremely well). I cannot express my appreciation for Frankie and piercers like her enough! If you’re looking to get pierced, go to her. Seriously. Also super reasonably priced with high quality jewelry. Dandyland itself has such a nice environment with cute decor as well!

My daughter had the best experience with Miro this weekend. I say weekend because when they do piercings for children her age (she’s 8 and wanted her ears pierced and has for a while), they have a consult beforehand to meet the piercer and go over all information. Consent is emphasized which is wonderful and exactly how it should be. The piercing experience was great as well and one day out, she is super happy and healing perfectly. We are customers for life!

Honestly, the negative reviews (which are few in the first place) of this studio are either by entitled Karens or by people who dont know how to take two seconds to look up shop policies and then are surprised when they show up and arent serviced the way they want. I came here with a friend recently (were not even from here but even we knew to make an appointment) and found the artists and shop to be among the coolest in the industry -- and Im someone who has been to tattoo and piercing studios all over the country. The staff are highly professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The shop is extremely clean and has a beautiful Art Deco aesthetic. I will definitely be coming back whenever Im in the San Antonio area again.

Lurker has a fantastic style. I felt no qualms about giving him a basic draw something you want with these two items. He surpassed my already high expectations.His consults are thorough, and he takes care to make sure you are doing well during the whole tattoo process. Dandyland supports their artists, and I appreciate the whole crew.

Frankie definitely provides a more luxurious piercing experience. The shop was very clean, staff was welcoming and kind, and her wide selection of jewelry is displayed nicely. I really enjoyed that she had a wide range of more affordable titanium pieces as well as a variety of high-end solid gold pieces. Frankie helped me pick out the most appropriate jewelry for my piercing and helped to ensure the appropriate location for my unique ear piercing and anatomy. She cleaned everything thoroughly and showed me proof of having autoclaved all of the supplies, which I really appreciated. She explained everything she was doing the entire time, and the piercing was essentially pain-free. I was provided with an aftercare pamphlet as well as a saline spray, which was very convenient. I ended up having quite a bit of swelling 2 days later, and she immediately reached out to me and got me in for a same-day appointment to get a longer piece of jewelry. Now it is healing up nicely. Highly recommend Frankie and Dandyland!

I got my gages done by Jen almost a yr ago with no issues she was great. I recently went bcak to see Jen and got them stretched to a 6 gage. I had a great experience each time. I will be back in a couple of months to have them starched again. Thanks Jen!

Everyone here is so nice and helpful. First, I got my helix’s piercing a month ago and they made the experience really comfortable for me. It’s such a safe and clean place. I’ve been to other piercing and tattoo shops that give me the ick. Secondly, I irritated the hell out of my piercing a month later and it became swollen and they’ve answered all my questions even after I’ve called a hundred times. Each time they are patient and informative.

Tattoo artist, Josh, was great. We went in with the picture of what we wanted and he did exactly what we asked for. He made it painless with good coversation. Ok there was a little bit of pain. We are a couple days out since our tattoo and all is well. Ladies at the front desk were very friendly and comforting.

Came in for a butterfly tattoo and was suggested Shane. I am so happy we got to work with him. He was very helpful and his stencil was exactly what I wanted. He added beautiful detail and shading that made it even better. The process was comfortable and relaxing. The studio is very clean. I will be getting all of my future tattoos by Shane as long as I’m in the local area. His art style is exactly what I’m looking for. Highly recommend!

Frankie is a fantastic piercer! She is reassuring and super chill.Added top-notch bonus, Dandyland gives you a pamphlet with info about your piercing, including the gauge they used. I’ve had a few piercings at other places and always had to guess what size jewelry I needed to change out my style. This shop provides that info, and, for my nose piercing, a saline solution to take home.. Couldn’t be more pleased.

My eight year old daughter wanted her ears pierced and I feel like the luckiest person on Google to have found this place. So friendly, so clean. Miros incredible and we had the most amazing experience. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for the younger sister in a few years.

I am so thankful for Frankie at Dandyland! I came in with a very uncomfortable new conch piercing (done by another shop). Frankie patiently walked me through the different types of jewelry, and answered any questions I had. We picked a beautiful piece, and it’s was comfortable to change out. Miro did my septum last Sunday, it was my first time coming in and everyone was fantastic. My original piercer had gone home sick, so I had to wait a bit for the next one to come in, but it was no problem. Everyone was so personable, I didnt feel like I was being rushed out, and everything was so immaculate and clean. I will absolutely be coming back for more.

This place is super clean, and super professional. I took my niece here for her first tattoo and I am thrilled that Dandyland set such a high bar for how a tattoo shop should be run. As soon as we walked in, we were all directed to a sink for hand washing. Everyone doing any tattooing or piercing was masked. Everything was super clean - even the AC vents were spotless. I had an ear piercing and my jewelry was run through a sanitizer before it was used. Frankie, who pierced my ear, never got close to my skin without a glove on. She also helped me figure out the best place to get the piercing done, noting that my ear was not really structurally strong enough to hold a piercing in the place I wanted one, and Im grateful she took the time to do that instead of letting me go ahead with something Id eventually be unhappy with. My nieces tattoo experience (with Ollie) was wonderful for her and she was over the moon with how it turned out. Thanks for showing her how a tattoo experience SHOULD be! Im glad she will use this as the standard and run from any future place that isnt doing it right.

My lobe piercings were closing up and quit honestly had always been a bit of a bother. Jen was wonderful! My ears didnt need to be repierced and Im on my way to wearing all the earrings Ive missed out on wearing. Im even planning on going back to get my upper lobe pierced in a couple of months! 😁

Ive been coming to Dandyland and seeing Miro for my piercings since they were at their old location. I cant recommend them enough. Its one of the cleanest shops youll see and the ambience is so calming and aesthetically pleasing. Yes, post-covid you still need to make an appointment for piercings, looking at jewelry, everything, but its worth it to get the best treatment in San Antonio.

Frankie is truly the BEST piercer I’ve ever had. She made it comfortable from the moment I walked in and was helping me pick jewelry, explained the entire process as she was doing it, and it even made it almost painless too. I went today to get my ears pierced. I was surprised at how huge their place is. But it’s so well decorated and the jewelry display is amazing. They’re very very VERY clean and I had an absolutely fantastic experience. I loved that the release forum I signed had a section for you to put your pronouns and the actual name you go by (vs your legal name if it’s not changed, which was also required on the forum but it was so so nice to have both).My piercer was super fantastic about the entire piercing process. I absolutely loved that he explained every step in what he was doing, it’s not only helpful if you’re someone nervous about piercings but it’s interesting if you’re curious about what’s going on. I absolutely recommend going here, I know I will be back for future piercings!

Had my septum pierced by Jen. She was extremely professional and made the process not only comfortable but virtually painless. The shop atmosphere is very comfortable. Took my daughter there to get her ears re-pierced because Claires did a terrible job. Let me tell you, Jen is the absolute best at what she does...and thats coming from someone who use to do the job. She was amazing from start to finish, putting my daughter at ease the entire time. She was kinda, considerate, KNOWLEDGEABLE, polite and just a joy to have as a piercer. Miro did my septum piercing. I kept waiting for the tightness to turn to pain when the needle went through, but the tightness subsided and Miro told me the needle was already through. Im a dude with a big nose, and Miro picked an unconventional size/gauge for a septum piercing. It was 1000% the right choice. He hit my sweet spot perfectly, so it hasnt migrated at all, healed effortlessly, and it fits my face perfectly. I couldnt be happier!

Got my vertical bridge piercing by Aaron a while back. He did a wonderful job and was very knowledgeable and helpful in deciding what piercing would suit me best as I wear glasses and didnt want it to interfere. It healed perfectly and I continue to be extremely satisfied with the result as well as with the customer service I have received there with every employee. It was easy to schedule an appointment (this was before Covid) and the process was fast and painless. I lost a gem recently and went back to purchase a replacement and they were just as welcoming and helpful as my prior experiences which is why I felt I should write this review. I got my first tattoo back in 2003 when they were still on Bandera St. All but one tattoo has been done by a member of their staff. They do great work, and I have had no issues with any of the work they have done. I cant wait to get back over there to get some new work done in the future.

I went to Dandyland to fix a piercing mess that happened at another tattoo studio (that claimed to also be great at piercing but wasn’t!). Dandyland’s manager and my piercer (Jen) were amazingly professional and compassionate… they explained every detail, what possible repercussions there might be from the previous piercing, and then gave me several options for going forward, letting me choose what I was most comfortable with. Their jewelry selection is amazing and well-priced, and the shop is so clean you could eat off the floors. No question they are the top spot in SA- I won’t go anywhere else now!

They take great care of you. They are very clean and have everything sanitized even before covid. Once I know my next tattoo will be definitely be coming back. As well if you ever need piercing Milo is so professional! Hes the only person I trust with my piercings . Nothing Against the other people who pierce there. I havent had the pleasure to have them work on me. Ive had bad experiences other places. I even had once an infection on a piercing I got at another location. Milo has been always taken care of me. I personally just trust him only.

Frankie is super nice and took the time to explain to me everything about my piercings. Very professional in comparison to other piercers I’ve had. It’s a little more expensive but totally worth it to actually have someone who cares and makes sure everything is perfect. Hes friendly, professional, and has awesome piercings and jewelry.First we had a thorough consultation to discuss what I want, healing, etc. - he took a pic of my ear and marked it up to give me an idea of how it would look.Then I picked out jewelry- he helped me coordinate because I asked him to but there was zero pressure. I chose 4 pieces in rose gold and then we moved on to the piercing.Everything was clean and sterile (as it should be). He marked my ear and had me check the placement. The actual piercing process was smooth and quick.I completely trust this guy. Ill be going back in a few weeks to get my other ear done and Im taking my kids there too.

Words cannot explain how amazing my experience was with Frankie she is absolutely amazing. This was the BEST piercing experience I’ve ever had. Frankie was so kind and I felt really comfortable (which is hard to do I hate small talk) Everything was quick and she kept me talking and distracted throughout the entire process. Aaron was AMAZING! When we got back to the beautiful room (that wallpaper is absolutely gorgeous) he took the time to let me choose between different placement. I came in expecting to get the standard double lobe piercing but left with something so much better! Came here to get a replacement piercing. This business made their Covid protocols VERY clear on their site, social media and over the phone, so I made an appointment in order to make my purchase. It was EXTREMELY clean inside and they took cleanliness seriously. They were helpful with the jewelry and had a nice section. I have been using Dandyland for as long as I can remember. At least 6 years. Dandyland has always been the best place to go to get pierced in San Antonio in my opinion. They have always held quality and safety to the highest standards. I have several piercings from various piercers including Miro: philtrum, septum, double nostrils, conch, tragus. All of them are 3+ years old now and have healed amazingly. They are all placed perfectly and suit my anatomy. I was always worried about gum issues with oral piercings, but the way my philtrum was placed I have had absolutely no issues with it and my dentist even verified that. I highly recommend Dandyland to anyone considering a piercing. They will take the best care of you! Not to mention their incredible selection of gold jewelry, oh my goodness. Im planning on using their jewelry curation services with all of my piercings, and just had a consultation for that with Frankie (who is amazing!!) the other day. Such an amazing first time experience. First of all, the owner (I believe) was screening for COVID in such a superb manner keeping his staff and customers safe. He was constantly sanitizing and wiping down surfaces. He was super friendly and professional! The lobby and studios are so nice and immaculately clean unlike any tattoo place I had visited before.The young man who replaced my dermal top was super nice and very professional as well. He was a great listener and communicator or product and what he was doing.I WILL never go anywhere else again!! Highly recommend!

The staff at Dandyland is always cool and respectful. Tara is absolutely amazing at what she does. Her tattoos are gorgeous full color pieces in her unique cartoony style. We just completed a cover-up today which brought me to happy tears. Finally my hideous mistake is gone! I cant recommend her highly enough. Shes awesome.Edit: So, about a month ago I got my nipples pierced by Miro. Im so happy with the way they turned out! Its surely not a painless process, but he made it quick and I dont think I was at the shop any longer than a half hour. They take great care into making their equipment sterile and make sure you know the healing process and what you can and cant do during that time. If I ever want another piercing, Ill definitely go back. He was awesome.

To celebrate our reunion we got matching tattoos done by their wonderful artists Ollie. We had searched for a while to find an artist and shop were comfortable with that could take us. It felt like destiny that we were able to book a spot for the both of us with Ollie.The shop is super clean and its appointment only policy was clear and too the point. I honestly was happy to see another business still being mindful of covid when so many other places have become frighteningly lax.My best friend and I are both neurodivergent and I have to say that this is one of the most relaxing tattoo shops Ive ever been too. It doesnt overload ones senses, all of the staff members we interacted with were very friendly and genuinely kind folks.This review is already super long but I have to just shout out Ollie one last time for being so great with the two of us. Ive gotten two piercings from Aaron here whos fantastic. He along with the rest of the staff are super professional. His demeanor is very calming which is comforting when youre about to be pierced. I had my nose pierced at Dandyland today. Let me tell you, it totally exceeded my expectations. I read all the reviews, and asked around town, so I expected the place to be good. But I was floored. Tony, my piercer, was totally professional, happy to answer my ten thousand questions, and made me feel completely comfortable the whole time. Everything was sterilized and still in autoclave baggies, and I just felt really fantastic about the whole experience. I will be going back for a conch piercing soon! Overall, they are accommodating, friendly, and extremely professional. I would recommend to anyone looking to get any kind of piercing.

Eric was the professional handling my piercing. He was very relaxed and a conversationalist. He was very adamant about his and my sanitization throughout the whole process. The room was extremely clean. I think he said hes been doing this for 14 years! He has a lot of cool body mods himself. This was a difficult piercing. I plan on getting another and will request him for it.

I had a great experience when I came for an ear piercing! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and Miro did an amazing job- the placement was perfect, he demonstrates excellent customer service, and his sterilization techniques are on point. I called before my friend and I came in to get piercings done multiple times and got all my questions answered and was made to feel completely comfortable before coming in. Miro was our piercer and he was absolutely amazing. I was terrified and started having a panic attack before getting mine done and he took the time to make me feel at ease before piercing me. He really knew what he was doing and didnt rush either one of us even though we came close to closing time. Everyone there was very polite and knowledgeable. Great experience at Dandyland Tattoo. The place was easy to find and clean inside. I didnt have an appointment. I just showed up on a Friday after work by myself and Miro took care of me. I was super nervous but he put me completely at ease. He was very gentle and somewhat soft-spoken. He changed his gloves 3 times during the 8-10 minute process. Its now a week later and Ive had no problems. I would definitely go back to Miro for future piercings.

Walked in to get my nose pierced with no appointment, and was taken right away. Staff was very kind, and reassuring. They helped me understand what I was doing, and how to take care of my piercing. He even made me promise him that Id take good care of it! Piercing rooms looked just like doctors offices, very sterile, very clean. Piercing itself was quick with very minimal pain. What was really impressive was that as soon as I got up to leave he cleaned the chair, the floor, and the equipment. I had a wonderful experience here, Im sure Ill be a returning customer.

This place is the absolute greatest. We’ve been to see the piercer Whitney on multiple occasions, and I would recommend her to anyone looking to get pierced. She’s fun, explains the process thoroughly, does the job quickly, and then gives you extremely detailed follow-up instructions. I also have an appointment to see one of the tattoo artists to color in an existing tattoo, and he didn’t make me feel rushed when I gave him my ideas during the consultation. Everyone there is super nice, including the man that answers the phones. He’s very knowledgeable about pretty much everything. This is hands down the most well run tattoo and piercing shop in San Antonio!

Went in for a nostril piercing today and the piercer made feel completely at ease. I pass out very easily and after my piercing when I was waiting to pay I did have a little fainting spell. Made an appointment to get my nose pierced and the minute I walked in they were very friendly. Eric (the great guy that pierced me) gave me his professional advice as to the size of my jewel. He also explained what he was going to do and why he was placing it where he was. The placement was awesome and once I looked in the mirror I fell in love with my new addition. Everything is by appointment only… which is understandable for ACTUAL PIERCINGS. they let us in, let us walk around but we couldn’t even purchase and jewelry. That’s by appointment only Lol. There was several people who were doing absolutely nothing. Sounds like a place that doesn’t want to make money. If you’re looking to buy anything I’d suggest you look elsewhere.Btw we have used this place prior but probably won’t be back.

I went in today to have my first piercing done and was thoroughly impressed by how clean the studio is, as well as by Miros knowledge and experience. The whole visit went so smoothly, and he happily answered any questions I had. The piercing process itself was practically painless, both figuratively and literally thanks to Miros expertise, and ultimately I walked out with a badass septum piercing! Wonderful experience with Miro at Dandyland! I had set a trio appointment with myself, my sister and mom to get nostril piercings. We asked if we could squeeze my second sister in and he happily obliged. I was shocked how painless and fast the piercing itself was (thanks to Miro and superb dexterity) however, I am queasy about needles and started to feel lightheaded. Miro sat me down and rushed to get a cup of water and a glucose tablet so I wouldn’t faint. Miro was patient and gracious in making sure I was comfortable and I felt better in no time. Clean, sterile environment and stunning jewelry. Thanks so much for making this an awesome experience for the four of us!

Great place! I got my earlobes done by Eric and he was wonderful. Super kind, straight forward, and answers any questions you have! And the place is drop dead gorgeous. Its like being in a doctors office if your doctor has REALLY good taste.Nothing about this trip was disappointing. They even have great Covid protocol.

I walked in yesterday to get a piercing done. I wanted to complete my double helix because I had chosen to get them done at separate times. The piercing went so smoothly and I havent even been in much pain. The staff was extremely friendly and was there to help you and benefit you. Whitney went above and beyond my expectations! I went in wanting 2 piercings (rook and a forward helix) however, she suggested I do one now and go back in 3 month for the other. She was more concerned with the success of both piercings than simply making money off of me. She was patient as I looked at the jewelry and explained the process in detail. Once I was in the chair she, again, was very patient with me and walked me through everything she was doing as well as explained the sterilization process. She was very gracious when I reached out to her on her DAY OFF (I had no idea) a few weeks after the piercing was done. Oh and the shop is amazingly clean!!

After carefully reviewing and comparing piercing parlors in San Antonio, I made the decision to go to Dandyland for my first piercings. I originally went in on a Sunday evening and expected to make a walk-in appointment for the same day. Unfortunately, their piercer only works Wednesday-Saturday. The quote was a little higher than I expected, and at first I began to second guess my decision. I looked around at other shops, but none had as many or as good of reviews as Dandyland. I decided to wait and come back when the piercer was in, and boy was that a good choice.Both times, I was warmly greeted by the person at the counter and was asked how they could help. On Piercing Day, they swiftly brought out the paperwork and explained the process to me before we even began. Milo, my piercer (and I believe hes the ONLY piercer there) asked me exactly what I wanted and had me select my rings from their extensive collection of high-quality jewelry. He walked me back to the piercing room and began preparing for the procedure. I know how important hygenie is during piercings and tattoos, and Milo had it down to a science. He must have washed his hands, cleaned my ears, and switched gloves at least three times each. I knew I was in the right place. He was gentle, precise, and quick, and my ears look AMAZING thanks to Milo & the wonderful staff at Dandyland! Worth the drive, and worth the money.

I walked in wanting to buy a belly piercing, the receptionist said someone will be there. Which was okay while i waited 10 minutes standing there waiting for someone to get me a piercing I wanted but nobody approached me. I don’t understand why the receptionist couldn’t check me out simple ? What’s her position for ? Definitely won’t come back.

I went this past Saturday to get a piercing done by Miro. I got my septum pierced and it was my first piercing so I had some anxiety getting it done, but Miro made me feel 110% comfortable. He is so down to earth and friendly. I will be coming here for all future piercings!

The only place Ill go in San Antonio for piercings. Miro is a master at his craft and does excellent work. You may pay a little more than other shops but worth it for the piece of mind that youll get an excellently straight and centered piercing in a clean environment. If you have doubts, lose them. This is your place.

Got several piercings done here by Miro. He is simply the best. Amazing experience, he is very professional and knowledgeable and just a super cool guy. I will not go anywhere else and I will recommend everyone I know to them because I know theyll be in great hands.

These artists are talented and professional at what they do. The establishment is clean and well taken care of. I needed a new piece of jewelry for my tragus and Miro helped me find the perfect piece. The choice was hard with so many beautiful options, but thats a good problem to have. Everyone here is so amazing and sweet. Ollie is the sweetest person and did my tattoo and im so in love. Ive gotten pierced here by miro as well and he is knowledgeable and kind. I only recommend this place to get pierced and tattooed in San Antonio.

The new location is very clean and sterile but also warm and inviting. The staff are both knowledgeable and friendly. The artists care about their work and that is evident by the quality of the work done at Dandyland. The body jewelry at Dandyland is world class and Miro takes great care in ensuring that the jewery he gets is top notch. Miro is also the only piercer in the city that I will trust to do my piercings. Dandyland is a great shop for those serious about tattoos and piercings but a location for bargain hunters. This shop is for those that are looking for excellent work and are willing to pay what it is worth.

The place is very clean my piercer Aaron definitely knew what he was doing and answered all of our questions. I was nervous but he made me feel welcomed. Even though I didnt get what I wanted (not built for) he did an amazing job giving options of what he could do. Even got a note to show my husband I didnt chicken out just couldnt do it lol..Getting my nose done which hurt like hell I love it. I will be back great place and people.

Travis is an amazing artist. My daughters and I did memorial tattoos for my son that passed away. Best tattoo experience ever.

After thoroughly researching everything about having ones nipples pierced, I decided to make an appointment with Miro at Dandyland. Dandyland and their staff are very professional. They use implant grade titanium for initial piercings as the default, which is what I wanted. Miro was fantastic, he was calm, reassuring, and professional. His positive vibes made the process a pleasant one. The pain was minimal with Miros gentle approach, but ymmv. He free hands, so he doesnt use clamps for nipple piercings. The shop also has a gorgeous selection of great quality jewelry. I will be recommending this shop at any opportunity that arises.

I wasn’t going to do this but I feel like this shop needs to change their attitude. This used to be my favorite piercing shop pre-Covid. I would walk in spontaneously during college to get piercings and they took care of me no problem and were super friendly. After Covid however they started only taking appointments, which is fine, but one day I set up appointments for me and my grandmother to get piercings together and they would only let us go in one at a time. They wouldn’t even let my grandmother inside to sit down. Then 2 seconds later I saw a mom and daughter walking out together after getting piercings. Futhermore, today I lost jewelry to a piercing I have and I checked to see if I could swing by to buy the piece I’m missing and they told me I needed an appointment just to go in and buy it. In the past two years I’ve been turned away more than I was welcomed in. I’m really disappointed this place has gotten really pretentious and I won’t be returning.

Got my inner conch done here by Miro for my birthday and it was literally the most painless piercing I have ever gotten and I have my nose, 2 cartilage, 4 lobe, and belly button pierced! He was quick and definitely made me feel comfortable while I was getting it done! I will definitely be going back to get my other side done once this one is healed and will recommend everyone who is looking for a new piercing to go to him!

Miro is a great piercer! Took my daughter in for cartilage piercings a couple of years ago. He recommended doing one at a time in order to allow proper healing instead of making twice the money on piercing both ears. Weve been back for the 2nd and just purchased new studs. Fitted perfectly! Super professional and very COVID safe. They have you wash your hands on entry, take your temperature, and only allow a small amount of people in the building at time. I felt very safe and comfortable getting my piercings done here.

He got it exactly in the sweet spot which resulted in a 100% PAIN FREE piercing. I will definitely be back! I went in expecting the worse (for pain) and came out practically laughing. Miro is always awesome. It had been so long we couldnt remember our gauges, but he checked us and set us up with beautiful new jewelry in no time flat! Dandyland is the only place well go for piercing work, and Miro is the only person well have work on us!

Came with my friend who dragged me for emotional support. And it convinced me to get a piercing myself a few weeks after. It is extremely clean and sterile, you can smell it when you walk in. Staff is friendly. I paid 60 for a nose piercing and that included the piercing, jewelry, and a cleaning solution. Which is great, you dont have to go to a store and look for the solution. Worth it!!!! I wont go anywhere else, I wont reccomend anywhere else.

Always professional, hygienic, and amiable, there isnt a single staff member there I dont love, but I think of Aaron as my very own piercer. Hes flexible, gives great advice, and follows up on me through the healing process as we craft my own special look.

Miro did a great job today repiercing my nose. He was friendly professional and clean. I felt very comfortable and it didnt hurt too bad. I will be returning if I ever decide to get another piercing. They are a bit more pricy than other piercing shops but its worth it. You get what you pay for.

Went to Dandyland to get a tragus piercing and right off was SO IMPRESSED. This was my 9th piercing and Ive been to a range of shops quality wise and Dandyland is by far the best Ive ever been to. Aaron pierced me and was exceptionally professional and skilled. Effectively painless piercing procedure and it looks amazing. The shop is beautiful, the jewelry selection and staff skill level are second to none. I thought they were a little pricey at first but I didnt realize that the price included jewelry (I went a little blingy), piercing procedure and care kit so it ended up being an inexpensive piercing comparatively speaking. I would have paid another $30+ just for the exceptional job that Aaron did. I cant recommend them enough. Seriously get pierced here!!

The first time I went to Dandyland was to buy a ring for my tragus. I meet Miro and he gave me advice on different rings. Shortly after, I came back for a piercing and to my suprise it was with Miro. He was so calm and professional. It made my experience even better. I love Dandyland and cant wait to come back for more piercing therapy.

Awesome place! went there last sunday for my first tattoo. i had to do some research and some shops just didnt feel right , i live right by Dandyland by SAC and ive heard good things so i thought why not!Coming in everything was neat and clean, ( and their jewelry section was badass! ) , the person who greeted me at the door was very nice ( dont remember his name )I had made an appointment with Josh , he made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire session, im normally a very shy person dont really talk but i had to have some distraction since it was my first tattoo.He was very helpful and listened to what i wanted on the sketch ,he made convo through the entire tattoo and his chill vibe just made everything go so ouch smoother!He answered all the questions and gave me tips on my stretches lobes.i will definitely have him do my second tattoo which will be soon hopefully.Will definitely be coming back! hopefully theyre able to do under mask piercings soon😁Super clean place , and great environment. Wouldnt have picked any other place for my first tat😁

I absolutely love Dandyland. I have had multiple piercings, jewelry upgrades, and even a custom piece measured, ordered, and installed by Miro, and I could not be more pleased. I went here to get my septum, everything seemed to go nice until he stuck the needle in my nose. it hurt so so bad and i knew he pierced my cartilage (which you aren’t supposed to for septums). septums are usually so easy to do and barely hurt, but oh my god it hurt and bled and bled. worst part is now it’s crooked. please do not go here and save your money unless you want to have a crooked, painful piercing!!

I got my nose, nips, and multiple ear piercings all done here years ago and they healed perfectly. all the piercers were very experienced and knew what they were doing. 100% recommend

I also cant speak on behalf of tattoos at Dandyland but Ive been pierced there plenty of times. Ive been getting work done by their piercer, Miro, for the past 8+ years and would never go to anyone else...even when I lived 1000 miles away in Georgia and would come out to Texas a few times a year. Ive met a handful of some great piercers and Miro is just only one that I have seen put such a perfectionists eye into doing piercings. He has done multiple piercing projects on my ears and comes up with the most creative ways to do multiple piercings that I would never even think about. Miro isnt afraid to tell you that doing a certain piercing just isnt going to work on your body which is great because who wants to get a piercing to end up having it reject or have major problems? I have a surface nape piercing that is over 4 years old and has healed amazingly well that was done at Dandyland. He obviously is a piercer because he loves doing it and has a great passion for his career. I doubt anyone has ever regretted making the choice to get pierced by Miro. Dont expect to go in, get pierced within 10 minutes, and walk out because he is going to put a good bit of time into making sure the placement and the jewelry is perfect. 5 stars for Miro!

The staff here are very friendly. Aaron has done all of my piercings, and I love them all! I would definitely call ahead of time before coming on the weekends just to make sure that they are able to get you in.

Clean and far more superior for daith piercing. I got my first daith piercing here and tried another location for my second piercing and the results and recovery were much better at Dandyland.

This place is awesome! My friend and I had our nose pierced and they were compassionate and took great care of us. Also, I’m an infection control guru and they followed protocol (I.e., hand washing, sterilization, indicators etc.) I would definitely go back again.

The quality of their work is great. However, paying their updated rate of $100/hr is too expensive. A bit unrealistic as well if your artist naturally takes his or her time even for a simpler tattoo. With that being said, a tattoo here could ultimately cost you $300 where it would cost $175 elsewhere with the same quality work. Yes I do have tattoos, 15.

They do not take walk ins, so unfortunately I was not able to get the piercing for my daughter here. They didnt have a lot of people in the parking lot when I came by, but they still wanted me to make an appointment.So if you dont have an appointment do not drive to this place, it is a waste of time.That is why I give them 3 stars 🌟

I decided on a whim I needed to get new holes in my head, so I decided on a tragus, even though I really wanted a triple helix. When I walked in, Tony met me at the front and spent a ridiculous amount of time going over jewelry options with me (Im talkin like 30 minutes, and there were 2 girls waiting). Finally, he realized I really wanted the helix and not the tragus and told me to just get one today and come back for the others, which shocked me because he would take a hit in commission, but I felt like he honestly wanted me to get what I wanted. Well, I ended up getting the triple helix and spent a hell of a lot more money than I planned but man, I love it. That shop is clean, the folks are professional, and he talked me through the whole process and my ear looks freaking lovely. The angles are perfect and my jewelry is already getting crazy compliments. I will definitely be coming back here for my other ear once this one heals up, which I suspect it will do nicely.
