Anchor Rose Tattoo

I was referred to Janie at Anchor Rose by friends and I cannot say enough positive things about the experience! The shop is very clean, everyone was super nice and supportive! I had ideas from 3 different tattoo sketches and Janie was able to create a unique piece for me that I absolutely love!! I highly recommend! Fine line, detail and shading.

Billy did my most important tattoo for me and did an amazing job. Just what I was looking for. He also has a soft touch! He wasn’t lying lol. I was so nervous!

Love this place! Staff is super friendly and tattoo artists were willing to work with us on our tatoos design. Going again for another tattoo next month!

Sim is absolutely amazing. I love his candor. Hes been doing it for 24 years. Hes an extremely talented artist. It doesnt matter the mediumif he has pencil in hand or the beautiful buzzing strokes of tattoo gun. Sim is very professional. After consulting over the best option for a cover up upon our first meeting- he showed me some options. A true artist, he charges by the hour NOT the job. We did a quick discussion over the internet of what I wanted done and he reviewed my plight. We then met personally for an hour. He took a small deposit and scheduled the beautiful work. Sim has an eye for color, shading, and attention to detail. I am 11 hours in. Sim hand mixes some colors while he uses a wide variety of colors.He is extremely conscientious of sterilization and keeps wiping down, wears a mask, as every artist within that close of a space should. I am so very proud to be wearing his body art. He took a terrible situation from an inexperienced artist and has created such a beautiful piece- Im almost not mad at the original artist who still charged me and completely went rogue & off sketch and forgot what the requested product was. Its ok, because it led me to Anchor Rose. If this happens to you, dont feel angry kids- Sim can fix it! Expect to pay a deposit and bring cash only to pay. Other artists who are in the shop take forms of electronic payments. But, cash is king. There is a bank, close by you can hit on your way in, bring extra in case youre lucky enough that his next scheduled appointment rescheduled and you get more chairtime. Because he is scheduled out about 3-4 months. Yup, hes that good. Heres a few pictures of my experience so far. I cant wait to get back in the chair to finish. I have always wanted something big and beautiful but, never found anyone who is this knowledgeable and talented that I could trust. I have 3 others. And after this 3/4 sleeve is done - I have another big cover up/touch up piece on my back to work on. I had my best tattoo experience ever with Mollie! I explained to her what I wanted and she drew it up even better than I imagined it. She had eveything ready when I got there for my appointment. She was so patient and helpful with me when it came to the placement and sizing. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for during the whole appointment. I’m absolutely in love with the work she did especially the shading. It healed perfectly and I’m excited every time I see my tattoo. I will be back and plan on getting many more from her! She’s the best

What a great experience w/ Som and ART. an absolute great local choice if youre considering ink - after drawing up some of my ideas, Som’s artwork made my day! easy communication and flexible schedules made this a no-brainer for me. Mollie is such a delight! Not only is she a wonderful artist but soo sweet. She did a beautiful tattoo on me of a knife with such intricate detail in the wooden handle. 10/10 would recommend her to all my friends! Here’s a picture of it fresh!

Went here with my sister for a Friday the 13th flash event an hour after opening and had to wait 5 hours for tattoos we couldnt end up getting. The staff couldnt give estimates on wait time and after 5 hours of waiting we assumed we probably had 4 more hours to go. We later found out that people were getting multiple tattoos and with color as well, and thats why the wait was so long. We had both been here previously for a flash event and waited 3 hours, which we understood as we got there around 6 hours after the event had started and we had a great experience with the staff and artists. Overall, were very disappointed in this experience.

Billy is amazing! My friend and I were on a mission to get a tattoo last minute while we were in the city(we live in Ukiah) and they fit us in 1.5 hours before closing and paired us up with Billy (walk-in appointment). He was amazing, courteous, and payed close attention to detail with everything we wanted. Will be making an appointment for another tattoo soon! Very professional, clean, friendly business. Not bad pricing at all either.

Anchor Rose is awesome but especially Janie who did my wrist tattoo. With my disability I was concerned about being able to sit still good enough. She was very patient and understanding, plus answered all my questions. This is my first tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Haven’t been able to stop smiling and I know this will help my confidence

I choose this shop for my Daughters 18th Birthday. A group of us went in to get work done. I called about a week out, and they asked me to swing by and give a deposit (40$) they opened up an hour early to accommodate us.Everyone in the shop was very kind and accommodating of my party. Including the birthday girl 7 of us got tattoos that day.Their professionalism was apparent as they went about their work. I would highly recommend this shop both for the atmosphere and the wonderful artists that have on staff. I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting the owner Mo. But I did note that the staff repeatedly referred to him and made calls for approvals of our party. So big thanks to everyone who was there and Mo for letting us come in and take over the place a bit. We had so much fun- and you will see y’all again

I highly recommend Anchor Rose Tattoo. Easy scheduling, friendly staff, amazingly talented artists, super clean facility and reasonable prices. I always enjoy interesting life discussions with Sim while he creates my beautiful tattoo.

Got a tattoo here from Mollie and it was easily the worst tattoo Ive ever had. Not only were the lines blown out, the shading botched, but she was extremely rude and dismissive about the pain; she even told me to stop being a b****. I would give 0 stars but it wont let me.

I have gone here for my last two tattoos, and it was a fantastic expereince both times! The artist really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to make it perfect, and was willing to adjust the sketch as many times as needed. I got a half sleeve done by Franny and she was awesome!!! Not only is her art incredible, but she was just the right amount of sociable and quiet (which is nice for an introvert like myself). She also has a pretty light hand. The shop is clean and open and super welcoming/not judgemental. Great group of artists, 10/10 will always recommend.

BILLY IS AWESOME! His attention to detail is amazing, he exhibits calm and understanding vibes, and he’s been a pleasure to work with! We finished part 1 and I made another appointment for part 2 (only the fingers left, ouch!). Can’t wait to come back in and finish this piece!

The guy that did my girls tattoo, did a great job. Mine on the other hand was not great. I had personal writing in color. It wasnt even offered to slightly enlarge it. Which ok, that could of gone both ways. My gripe is that, it should of been clearly easy to read and nope its not. My color bleed with design and writing. It looks like it was done with a color style needle not a single. Went back to discuss this and suggested by one worker there, that I should get a cover up and try the other side. Lets say, not happy nor going back. At least my girl got a nice looking 21rst tattoo but not the momma.

The staff is very patient and will work with you to make sure you get what you actually want. They did a great job with my cousin, who was getting her first tattoo. Heads up though, cash only. There is an ATM down the street you can get cash from though.

I recently got a tattoo from Tyler, it was A rose that covered up an existing tattoo. My over all experience was great, also the tattoo is beautiful and i have gotten allot of compliments on the work! i have gotten tattooed at their other location as well, Avenue tattoo, i wish i could give them 10 stars! highly recommended

Ive worked with both Fran and Mo. They both were professional, personable and talented with their work. The shop as a whole is clean, bright and an all around comfortable place to get tattooed.

Rigo talked with me for about five minutes and knew exactly what I wanted and within two drafts I had the design for my first tattoos. He was very accomodating and didnt get mad when I asked him to adjust them again and again to make sure they were perfect. Also not crazy expensive

I stopped in this studio out of curiosity after seeing some of their work on friends. the shop was great, the artists there were very friendly and open to my ideas, needless to say i got some work done and am very pleased!
