Avenue Tattoo

This is me and my husband’s very first tattoo and we had a great experience. David was my artist and he did a great job drawing up and helping me place my tattoo in the right spot. I like that he talked about every step that he was going to do before doing it, and it really calmed my nerves. Very professional and I really enjoy the relationship that he had with his coworkers. Their humor definitely added to my experience. I think I might be brave enough for the next tattoo soon.

Went here a couple weeks ago with some friends. We all got some ear piercings. I actually got five piercings and had a great experience. Every single person that we came in contact with from the initial call to actually going into the shop was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and just provided such great customer service experience. Theres plenty of parking outside, handicap accessible, bathrooms on the premises, the shop is extremely clean and well kept. I would absolutely recommend this place!

The best tattoos north of the Golden Gate Bridge, especially roses. I go to three gyms. I spoke to models at Crunch and Sonoma YMCA about the best tattoo parlor when I came to Santa Rosa from Missouri. They all said, “Avenue Tattoo!” They pulled up their shirts and showed me their tattoos. The art was mesmerizing. The girl at the YMCA gym told me that Avenue Tattoo is the best place to go for tattoos, body art, especially roses.

They were really kind and very thorough with the instructions and guiding me through the all the steps and also after care of my piercing. If I ever decided to get something more would definitely come back here!!

I got my nose pierced back in 2014 with Karissa and she did an amazing job! I made an appointment with her to get my nipples pierced and she was so professional and did a great job! It only took her about 10minutes. I was so nervous but she made me feel comfortable and made this experience better than I thought. I will definitely be going back to Avenue tattoo! Thank you!

Karissa is the best. I’ve been to her for many piercings and trust her with my 11 year old daughter. She pierced her ears today and had attention to detail and the best bedside manner. As soon as we walked out the first thing my daughter said was I really like her. Very professional and also so caring. Highly recommend for any piercings but especially children.

Karissa was fantastic! I took my 7 year old to get her ears pierced at Avenue tattoo and couldn’t recommend them enough. Karissa went out of her way to make sure my daughter felt comfortable and make sure she had a good experience. We will definitely be coming back for her little sister to get her ears pierced.

Got my belly button pierced and my nose with Karissa and she was the sweetest! Super friendly and gentle. She was also very clear on after care process and the whole experience was a 10/10

I do not recommend coming here for a piercing jewelry change. I had the new lip jewelry for a month and just went to a different place for a second opinion as I started to develop an irritation bump a few days ago. Turns out the bar was too short which was something I questioned the day I went in for the jewelry change at Avenue. At my visit today with the different piercer, she couldnt unscrew the jewelry so I told her just cut it off. Its unfortunate because I wanted it to workout at Avenue.

I had my first tattoo and I am extremely happy. Mark was amazing, professional, and dedicated to make sure I get a unique and one of a kind piece. Mark listened to my idea and then designed it, exceeding what I had in mind.I hundred percent recommend him and the whole business.

Karissa is fantastic! I went back after 2 years or so and she remembered me and was so friendly and funny! Such a warm and welcoming environment where everyone is hilarious and cool! Definitely recommend this place if it is your first piercing or tattoo! They will treat you well!

Walked in with an idea left with a work of art by Jesse. I had 2 specifications: cover a scar and shamrocks...jesse designed the rest and I couldnt be more pleased. Cant wait to get my next 1.

I went in for a helix piercing 7 months ago and she pierced it so crooked I had to eat the $70 and take it out today.The piercing wouldn’t heal at all because she pierced it at a 45 degree angle, and its supposed to lay flat at 90 degrees.The employees were also really rude. When I went in for my appointment, they let a walk in go in before me. So I had to wait 25 minutes, even though I was on time for my appointment, and I came in first. For real, pick somewhere else.

Meh.Tattoo artists didn’t want to help me so... probably not going back. Maybe just having a bad day,Piercing artist is very kind, informative and the job was well done.

I’ve gotten all of my piercings here and they have all healed beautifully (by both Karissa and Carissa) They were both incredible and explained step by step how to take care of my piercings until healed. I have also gotten most of my tattoos done here (a few at Anchor Rose) and same results. I have loved the results every time. I cant wait to drive back up to NorCal and go back to this shop! Definitely recommend. Please remember to support local businesses during this pandemic. Especially one as great as Avenue Tattoo and Anchor Rose! 🤍

Very friendly and professional, I love My 2 new ear piercings 1 in Conch and a second one in my lobe to match the other side.Karissa is very good and gental. I will be back after they heal and get the conch done on the other side. 🥰

We had a great experience here. My friend got her nose pierced. We were able to make an appointment over the phone and we were only there for a total of about 10 minutes.

Ive gotten 5 piercings here and now will not go to anyone except Karissa. She makes sure youre comfortable (as well as the rest of the super nice and cool staff) and is very honest about your anatomy and what will and wont look good. Shes talked me out of a few piercings and recommended others instead. Ive absolutely loved what shes recommended instead and know they look way better than what I wanted originally! Ill definitely be going to Avenue for a long time and 1000% recommend it.

Everyone in here is FANTASTIC! I personally went to Mark and I can tell you he is amazing!! Very great atmosphere, really relaxed and chill and great conversation while getting work done😂. I definitely recommend coming here for all your tattoo/piercing needs. There is NO judgement.

Since it was my first tattoo of my life I give this company in an A+. David Evans the artist I had extremely nice and he is a sharks fan like I am so it made my experience a lot more enjoyable. A big shout out to him for his amazing work once again I will definitely come back for another tattoo when Im ready.

Got my very first tattoo here. I was seen fairly quickly. I got the tattoo I wanted and really liked it. However, when i took my bandage off and really looked at it closely, I noticed half of my tattoos outline is not straight. It wasnt colored in correctly either. There are places that are not colored in. This place had good reviews online, and a friend told me it was awesome. I just wanted my first tattoo to be well done, and the more I look at it the less I like it. I should have looked at it closely when it was finished, but I was so excited that I didnt. I do not remember my artists name (I was super anxious). I got a memorial tattoo on my left wrist, it is a yellow ribbon with initials and dates.

Avenue Tattoo is amazing. The owner answered all my questions so quickly and was very welcoming! The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I was so eager to get this price done and was able to get an appointment for the next day! And Kelly, my artist, i can not rave enough about! His work is out of this world. He created an even more beautiful design then I ever envisioned and captured my story perfectly!!! And was so patient and accommodating when I passed out on him.... 🤭🤫..... When he finished and I got to see it for the first time I was moved to tears instantly. Completely overwhelmed with just how perfect it was to me. I cant thank you enough. This tattoo has so much meaning to me. Colorful, happy, exciting ,bright, new life navigated by God. I previously walked a dark, painful, destructive path that led me no where! This was part of the letting go and a permanent representation of my commitment to God. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.Now stop reading reviews and schedule an appointment already! Really friendly staff. I came in for my first tattoo, and the artist was constantly checking on me throughout the process. They even shared some fries with me from a food run that they made. Overall a wonderful first experience, and i recommend them to everyone looking to get a piece done.

Needed help putting earring back in after I got an MRI. The piercer was so awesome and helpful and only charged me $25 for two new pieces of jewelry and to put in 4 earrings. I also have some small tattoos from here a few years ago and they’re doing well too!

I went in earlier today and got my first tattoo. I didnt make an apt because I was afraid Id chicken out and cancel. So I walked in and they asked what tattoo I wanted. I was nervous to just tell them I wanted a made in California stamp on my butt cheek. But my lanta, they were so amazing. 10 minutes later I was on the table. Eric was so beyond wonderful, I was laying there, booty on display, and felt so comfortable. He calmed all my nerves and kept making sure I was okay and made sure I fully understood how to care for my tattoo. And it turned out better then I imagined. I could not be more happy. Thank you Eric!

I never got a tattoo before in my life so I didnt know what to expect. I took a picture of what I wanted to the tattoo artist and I ended up with Chris. He told me what I get from him and gave me a good price for the tattoos I wanted on my arms as he customized the idea I wanted for my tattoos. By the time I got them and the month after that, Chris knew a lot what I had to do to make sure they heal properly. He even offered to give them touch ups for free if that was needed which wasnt needed as they turned out great. I got what I wanted and it was thanks to this business and artist. If you are looking for a good tattoo artist, go see Chris at Avenue Tattoo and tell him that Chad with the Egyptian Eyes sent you.

I came in to get my septum pierced after visting another shop and finding no success. I got taken in by Karissa and she instantly looked at me and told me your septum is crooked, I wont pierce it. Props to her for saying that she wouldt pierce it because some piercers might do anything to make a client happy rather than doing what is best for the client in the long run. So, I settled on getting my nostril pierced which I was completely fine with. She had me lay down and she got her supplies ready. In two deep breaths, it was done! She gave me some time to breathe before sitting up and she was keen on making sure I didnt feel sick or drowsy. I then stood up after a few minutes and I was walking out with a new piercing. I was there for maybe 15 minutes and the actual piercing took 2 of those 15. I dont think Im going to go to any shop but The Avenue from here on out. Thank you Karissa!

Poor service :/ drove all the way to Santa Rosa after calling in to make sure walk ins were accepted for a nose piercing. After filling out the forms and setting everything up, she showed me where the piercing would be which I was not happy about. I didn’t like how it would be so hidden and asked her if we could put it more forward. She wasn’t open to the idea of moving it anywhere else and after asking multiple times she blatantly refused to pierce it in any other spot than the one she chose. I appreciated her “expert advice” but at the end of the day it’s MY face and I’m paying her so why can’t I choose where my piercing will be? It was a total waste of time and gas and I left without a piercing after freeing up my whole day to get one. Ended up going to True till Death piercings and got what I wanted with great service and pricing!

I love my nose piercing it’s healing well and I just had a question on the size of the jewelry of my septum so when it’s fully healed I can buy the right size jewelry shout out to Karissa Castorena for doing my first ever septum piercing

My experience was great & my tattoo came out so much better then I thought 😁I TOTALLY LOVE IT. BECAUSE OF THE GREAT SERVICE & TALENTED ARTISTS THERE I HAVE ALREADY PLANNED TO GO BACK FOR MORE WORK.

I was a walk in foe my second tattoo ever, and everyone was great. Super friendly and welcoming. Gerardo worked on me and did a gorgeous job. This place is great, and has more than fair prices.

This place is nothing but a hassle when it comes to piercing. We will never go here again. My daughter got her nose pierced for her birthday. I understand needing documentation for minors but we went back a few days later because it had swelled and were turned away by the same piercer because we needed all the same documentation again birth certificate etc to change out stud to longer one even though they took copies of all the paperwork the first time. We came back again with all documents got the stud changed and they charged her yet again for new jewelry. Fast forward to today she needed it taken out for a school sports game. We called to ask they said to come in. Her stepdad brought her with birth certificate and her drivers license this time they refused because step dad doesnt have same last name or custody papers LMAO. All to have the jewelry removed NOT pierced. So she waited there for me about 30 mins. By the time I got there 5 other customers were there and now my daughter needed to wait another 45 mins. Her game was an hour out. We had no time and left. What a joke!! We called multiple other Santa Rosa piercing places who said she did not need all that documentation and had no problem with her step parent being with her just to get a piercing removed. Never again! Horrible customer service and miscommunication on Avenue Tattoos part. I will never recommend this place for piercings to anyone!! Way to much hassle..

Piercings were quick and painless. Well almost painless! Would of gave 5 stars but my girl and I had to wait for kind of a long time before being helped. Overall great shop!

I made a 3:30 appointment to have a tattoo done on Friday and the guy who scheduled it wrote down 3 instead of 3:30 so when I got there at 3:25 for my tattoo I was told it was scheduled at 3 when it was actually scheduled at 3:30 so he told me I can reschedule but refuse to do the tattoo that day. I will never go to this tattoo shop ever again for any reason. Just because the staff member made a mistake on the time they wrote down shouldnt affect me not being able to get my tattoo that I scheduled for the correct time and put a deposit down. They gave me my deposit back but refuse to do the tattoo that day so I refused to go back to this establishment and I will let everybody know what happened. This is terrible customer service or should I say this is not customer service!

Went in to get a piercing removed and was told one person was in session and there was another person ahead of me. Shouldnt take long, I thought.NOPE, WRONG.IDK how long it takes to get pierced, but dont think it should take FIFTY-ONE MINUTES for only TWO people.Maybe it is naive to assume it should be quick, but there should have been SOME communication from the staff regarding how long it was going to take, otherwise I wouldnt have wasted nearly an hour of my life. The lady doing the procedure didnt even know what I was there for and I do not believe she even changed her gloves.TL:DR Piercing 2 people took 51 minutes. Do NOT come here.

This place is awesome I took my 13 year old son in here for ear piercing . The piercer was very gentle and made my son very comfortable she was awesome ! The price was reasonable and the whole experience was great 😊 Deffinilty will recommend this place to my friends

Had a great time last night here with my wife and with the tattoos artist Mark Hansen he does great work great cover ups and the prices are definitely in our budget we will definitely be back for more and recommend avenue tattoo to friends and family

Just got a piercing here (forward helix). Well priced and went well for myself and best friend. My bf also got a tiny tattoo on her ankle and that went well too. Looks good.

My friend and I walked in on a whim for piercings, the piercers are clean and very knowledgeable. They are also super friendly and know how to work with nervous clients.

Had gone in to have some hoop earrings closed. There was a bit of a disconnect between the piercer and the girl at the counter. Resulting in the piercer coming off extremely rude and short(maybe she was having a bad day maybe shes just that way). Either way I will not be back.

Best piercing and tattoo place by far!they make you feel very comfortable. By far the best experience Ive had at a shop. Recommend going here for any tattoo or piercing!
