Scott was truly amazing. He worked with my design and created something beautiful! Very well respected and made sure I was comfy. Definitely coming back, tattoo is not finished yet going back for my second session and bringing my friends.

Hello! My friend and I both went to this shop at the same time to get our first tattoos. I was aware of the shop minimum beforehand. But when presented with the price of my tattoo and my friends, our prices were the same. Considering the difference in design and details/size, I was not expecting them to be the same price. Overall, super sweet experience, however the pricing was not appropriate. I don’t understand why they were priced the same. Again, the artist was so, so sweet I loved her and I love my tattoo it’s so special to me! I just felt like I was overcharged :(.

Amazing first session done. Could not be more excited for more to come. Lauren is such an impressive artist and overall the whole experience was great, down to the customer service. Lilah did all my intake info and helped along the way. Both were easy to talk to and helpful all the way through.All three sessions are complete! Could not be more stoked about the artwork. We initially inquired about a walk in group appointment through Riverside Tattoo Parlor (Nomad’s sister shop!) and got directed to Nomad Society due to artist availability. From the phone call green lighting our appointment to the actual tattoo process, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. While we just got simple outlines to commemorate a girls trip to Savannah, Scott was great!! He was very professional and some of his talent is on show at his station. If we ever end up back in Savannah we will be sure to visit again!

I was tattooed by Lauren and had a fantastic experience from start to finish! She set aside time to first speak with me about my design elements & placement, she altered her drawing before we laid the stencil, and there was clear communication throughout all 3 sessions

The shop itself had a great vibe and I was able to see some very good work being done by other artists. However, my experience itself was not up to par. Being is that I am not from here. I don’t know any of the artists so I took what the receptionist more or less allowed me to have on short notice. Which was Scott from the very beginning? His attitude was very off putting. And he was overpriced for the quality of work. my recommendation go down to the shop meet the Artist and check out their work first.

Very clean and professional. The entire staff is wonderful. John Judy nailed it. We had a consultation and he listened intently, asked questions and gave sound advice. The tattoo looks great. If I get another one, this will be the place!

Her artwork on my skin is gorgeous, heals and holds well, and is well worth the wait. I always value her opinion on what will work best on my skin, and what fits well with what Im wanting. My friend and I worked with Jojo at Nomad. They were very responsive to our questions and requests. The shop as a whole was very communicative throughout the whole process of making a request through the online form, matching us with an artist, scheduling, art check appointments, etc. We love our tattoos - fantastic work :)

Nomad Society and their sister shop Riverside Tattoo are one of the best tattoo places in Savannah! The artists are amazing and everyone is friendly. They definitely make you feel welcome. I have gotten most of my tattoos from this group. This time I had John Judy and he did an amazing job and brought my idea to life. Can’t wait to setup another appointment soon!

I had got a tattoo at their sister location, Riverside and had a great experience with Josie. Scott had previously done some work on my arm at another tattoo shop and somewhat recently moved to Nomad so I booked an appointment and all of the scheduling was easy and everyone I spoke to was friendly! It can be intimidating going into tattoo/piercing places and honestly the customer service is usually trash but that is not here! Clean, professional, and beautiful work from all artists!

I cannot explain how much I love Nomad Society and its sister shop, Riverside Tattoo. Firstly, Lauren and her staff have created a safe, inclusive, beautiful space that encourages creativity and camaraderie. I have had a few pieces done by Josie-Pi and now one by Lauren Damon and I truly feel at home here. I have had lots of other work completed in various shops throughout the US, but Laurens establishment has been, by far, my best experience. Not only are the artists truly artists, they take the time to cultivate each piece to exactly what the customer envisions. Everyone from the counter staff to the artists are super professional, kind, friendly, and create a sense of ease and belonging for their clients. Lauren and I spent upwards of 4-hours together, and she was completely invested in our session every step of the way. We collaborated, we chatted, we laughed, we spilled some tea. I left feeling like not only did I get a gorgeous new piece of art, but that I also made a new friend. I am so happy and so proud to have not just one, but two shops like this in Savannah. I will never go anywhere else. Cheers to you Lauren, your vision, your dedication, your approach to building your business, and your character overall is inspiring!

I cannot recommend Melanie enough. Her design was beautiful and captured all the elements I wanted. She spent time ensuring it was placed in the best spot, taking into account how the skin and tattoo would stretch move with varying movements. She worked efficiently, but made sure to take the time to ensure the tattoo was done meticulously - she even stayed late so we could finish it in one sitting. I couldn’t be happier with the end result!

Amazing service and such talented artists! Very welcoming and comfortable environment to be in, I enjoyed every second. Mel was also very thorough with their communication and made sure I was aware of what was going to happen and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.

Ive been to Riverside Tattoo a few times because its always been such a good experience and I had been dying to get a tattoo done by Lauren. Finally got on her books at Nomad society and she was awesome! Not only is her work amazing, but she is super cool and easy to talk to. The spaces shes created at Nomad Society and Riverside are so unique and welcoming and as long as Im in Savannah they will be my go to shops!

My wife bought me a gift certificate to Riverside, the sister studio, almost 2 years ago. I was gone most of last year and had a couple unplanned surgeries, so it took a long time to get myself into the chair. They were super cool with it and John got me inked exactly how I wanted. I have one of my cats paw prints on my shoulder where she always likes to sit. She seems to like the guide marks now. The session was REALLY FAST! It was not a rush job and he was not hurrying - the tattoo is excellent. I just could not believe it was over when he said it was. I already cant wait to go back!

Love this place! Great first time experience. Staff is so friendly and had such a lovely time with my tattoo artist Melanie!! Even if you’re shy and find it hard to communicate your tattoo ideas they will make sure you are all 100% on the same page. These people take their time and really put their effort in their work and it is definitely noticeable. Highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back. 10/10

I had the privilege of working with Lauren, the owner. This was a very personal tattoo and I’m a larger person so I very much got in my head about it. Lauren was phenomenal! She took all my decisions in stride and never made me think I was too much. Of course the artwork was better than I could ever imagine. I just keep looking at it!! The front desk staff (Meli) was fantastic! They were so welcoming and kind. You truly could not find a better shop! I drove from Charleston (two hours) and it was COMPLETELY WORTH IT!

Josie Pi has been working on my sleeve over the last year and has been so wonderful to work with. I talked to a number of other artists over the years about doing the piece and never found anyone who made me feel as comfortable that they could execute it as Josie. She worked with me to realize the tattoo I had in my mind, was able to do remote consultations (I live in NC) where she showed me what I could expect before I drove down, and then was patient and caring with me every session.I dont go a single day where someone doesnt compliment me on her work. Id absolutely would recommend Josie and the Nomad crew for anyone looking for quality ink by quality people.

Josie was amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a brilliant piece of artwork on their body! They are kind, professional, knows their worth, but also takes excellent care of their clients. They finished adding color to the beautiful chest piece they created for me yesterday - its everything I could have ever hoped for and more. Ill definitely be back!

I LOVED the experienced I had at nomad society. Lauren Damon is so talented, everyone there is so professional and funny at the same time. We took breaks in between tattooing, and she offered me snacks and drinks to make me feel more comfortable during our 4 hour session. I seriously can’t wait to come back, I’m BEYOND happy with my tattoo. Especially it being a cover up, we both worked together to figure out the best options for the design I wanted and she made it happen! I’m so impressed. 10/10 recommend

I got a sleeve done and would recommend this place to anyone! I personally worked with Jojo (Josie) who is truly talented and kind. I noticed throughout my time there that those characteristics must be qualifications for working there because everyone was extremely friendly and skilled in whatever style tattooing the specialize in. It doesn’t matter what type of tattoo you want, you’ll be able to find an artist here. If you want realism with color, Jojo is your person. Jojo is worth any distance, time, or cost!

My girlfriend and I went in for blackwork tattoos on our hand. First off, the atmosphere of the shop was incredible! I loved all the natural light and plants in there, which is drastically different from any other shop I’ve been in. We were greeted right away and we’re able to complete our paperwork immediately. Our artist was Lauren, and she was absolutely incredible! She had a few words with us to figure out exactly the placement and size we were looking for and then worked with us to get the stencil in the right spot. She was very helpful in choosing a correct spot and wanted to make sure we would be happy with it. She didn’t mind even trying 3 times to place my stencil before we got the right spot. The tattoos themselves were better than I could’ve imagined! The black is solid and smooth, and the lines are as crisp as can be. I’m overly satisfied with my overall experience! Thank you so much Lauren!!

I would give 10 stars if I could. Lauren did a cover up for me that I have wanted for years. Very pleased with what was done. And Lila is the sweetest! Great atmosphere, great communication! 100% worth the wait to get on the books!

My husband & I were in Savannah for a weekend trip & decided last minute to try to get tattoos. Lila was able to get us in with Scott & was amazingly helpful. She even gave us recommendations for places to go while we burned time until our appointment. Scott did a great job with our tattoo requests & his work is superb. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Scott was my artist and absolute rockstar! We spent several hours together, and he was so precise finishing my forearm to blend it with other tattoos that it looks seamless. I have come to Nomad a couple of times and wouldnt go anywhere else to get tattoos 5 Stars every time!

Currently in the process of getting my first custom full sleeve done by Lauren! So far everything has been amazing from our talks about design to our first session! Loved my experience at Nomad Society! At the recommendation from a friend, I came from Charleston to see Mel, who did some really beautiful fine line work for me. The moment I walked in, it felt like such a chill, calm, inclusive place and I really could have spent all day there. This was my first ink, and Mel made me feel so relaxed, and able to ask questions, tweak design, etc.Could I have gotten a similar piece of work done in Charleston? Probably. Would I have loved the experience as much? Nope. If youre local to Savannah, go. If youre not, its worth the drive.And Ill 1,000% be back!

I originally chose Nomad because I went to their sister shop (Riverside) for my first tattoo and had a wonderful experience there. I went to Nomad because I was interested in one of the artists there (Lyndzee). She ended up being fantastic. She was super great to communicate and work with over email, and really helpful in guiding me towards the final design/talking about different options for me. Once I got there, the shop was very clean and organized and not busy (I went on a Sunday afternoon). The front desk person (I didnt catch their name) was very friendly and helpful! The process of doing the stencil/talking about the design and getting the tattoo from Lyndzee was a great process. It was my second tattoo overall and the biggest piece I have, so it was awesome to have a really experienced artist to help me. I had a great experience at this shop and definitely would go again!! :)

I had the wonderful experience of working with Mel. They were such a kind and thoughtful artist. She was always informing me of what she was doing next, and if one machine was particularly loud. I truly appreciate the care I received. I’ve attached two photos of my lovely tattoos. I can’t wait to go back!!Also!! It is really refreshing how they ask for your preferred name and pronouns, and they actually referred to you as your proper name the entire time. This meant a lot to me personally 🥰.

Very professional. The front desk and my artist worked with me and my weird work hours! They were super friendly, and did an amazing job on both of my tattoos!!! The atmosphere was so cool, would 100% recommend choosing this place for all your future tattoos. Lyndzee is absolutely fabulous to partner with on designing and getting body art. She’s caring, approachable, and an incredible artist! I waited months to get in with her, and the wait was worth it! Also, the space is so warm and inviting and the people working at Nomad are just lovely humans all around.

Melanie was my artist and she was amazing!!! This is my fifth tattoo and I always feel awkward just sitting there, but Melanie made nice conversation, the vibes in the shop were great. She assured me that I could change anything about the tattoo even after the stencil was on and didn’t make it feel like a hassle or pressure me like some shops have in past. And on top of all of it my tattoo turned out just like I envisioned it. The lines are perfect but she did offer a free touch up within a year if anything starts to look faded or wrong. 10/10 recommend 5 ⭐️ will definitely be going back for future tattoos

First of all, i have many tattoos and and only one that i have been to has came close to the professional atmosphere and welcoming environment that Nomad Society provided. John was amazing and came up with a tattoo drawing far exceeding anything that I was able to come up with! He was fast and the piece came out absolutely stunning. I chose Nomad Society due to my wife getting some work there and was very impressed so i went for it and, in this sense, John did not disappoint. I will be returning 100%. If you are getting a tattoo this is the place to go in Savanna all of the artists have beautiful work (look at their instagram)

This shop is fantastic. Very clean, everyone is very welcoming, the energy is friendly and kind. I brought a cover up idea to Josie that Id been wanting for years but hadnt decided exactly what I wanted. She worked with me to come up with the perfect piece, and it is absolutely amazing. Her work is outstanding and she is great to work with. I highly recommend her!

Josie is AMAZING. Came to Nomad with an idea of a morticia Addams portrait and they nailed it in every way I asked for. The shop atmosphere is so calm and welcoming! The receptionist is such a sweet soul and getting tattooed by Josie was by far one of my favorite experiences. Before I knew it they knocked my portrait out! Hands down one of the best tattoo shop experiences. Clean, cute aesthetic, and amazing artists! Can’t wait to get more work done at Nomad!

It comes as no surprise that this studio, like its sister studio Riverside, is absolutely gorgeous and has excellent vibes. It also comes as no surprise that Lyndzee absolutely knocked my tat out of the park!! I really love her tattoo style of working in sections, which Ive never had done before, and I have 20+ tattoos. I think it made for a less painful experience. Not to mention, she has a graceful hand and is speedy!! You cannot find a better shop or artists, in my humble opinion.

Edit: Since writing my first review I have had the pleasure of working with another artist, Kel Reid, on an extensive sleeve project. Their artistry, precision, and professionalism are fantastic. After 5 long sessions there I can say that, in addition to the artists Ive worked with personally, I have seen every other artist provide excellent service and crank out amazing work. No matter who you work with at Nomad Society, youre in good hands.Phenomenal experience overall. Excellent customer service, attention to detail and ability to translate my ideas into the design I wanted. Lauren took exceptional care to resize and customize the piece to fit my anatomy and never rushed the placement process.The quality of the final product speaks for itself, and communication and pacing throughout the tattooing were excellent.Lauren and her staff have created a highly professional environment that rigorously works to turn out high quality tattoos and be welcoming and respectful to all people.Bravo. Would absolutely go back.

Lyndzee was great! She made my sisters and I feel very comfortable (it was one of their first time getting tattooed and the second time for the other). Everything was clean! Receptionist was sweet and effecient. We will returning!

After weeks of researching where in Savannah and looking through artists on instagram- safe to say I finally found a shop and an artist that was able to bring my vision onto my skin but made it so much better. Had my appointment with Kel and am ABSOLUTELY in love with my tattoo that I got to cover up my preexisting tattoo. So glad that I found their Instagram page and booked an appointment. Will definitely be returning for future tattoo appointments. The staff at the shop are super nice and answer any questions you have. Even after a change of who was working the front they greeted me by name while I was still being worked on. The two hour drive down to Savannah was well worth it!

Lyndzee was by far the best artist I have ever worked with! Got the first part of my sleeve done in 2.5 hours, she designed the whole thing for me based on what I told her I was looking for and it couldn’t have been more perfect. She was absolutely amazing! I Couldn’t be happier with my experience. They keep it VERY clean inside & Every one is super sweet and helpful.

Melanie is simply great in what she does not only did she answer all my questions, she is so customer and detailed oriented. It is really rare these days to find such great customer service and care. My eyebrows are so flawless she spent hours of mapping them not only to my liking but have them look so natural, unique and perfect. Also the studio is clean and the atmosphere is super relaxing.

I was so excited to get the lip blush tattoo and Melanie did not disappoint!!! Immediately walking in I was greeted by Melanie and another woman (I cant remember her name) who were both so friendly toward my friend and me. Melanie knew I had been travelling that day and offered me drinks, snacks, and was open to answering and explaining all of my questions. She walked me through step-by-step her process and wouldnt settle for anything less than perfect. During the tattoo process, she frequently checked in on me to make sure I wasnt in pain. Melanies kindness and friendliness made me feel comfortable and confident that my lips were in great hands :) And I love love LOVE my newly blushed lips, they look amazing. Melanie made the 7 total hours of driving worth it!

Melanies attention to detail really reflects in her work. She re-drew the outline of my eyebrows until they were exactly how I wanted them. The cosmetic tattooing space was clean and professional and Melanie gave me thorough instructions on how to take care of them. I got my touch up done a month ago and my eyebrows have finally reached their final form. They faded to the perfect shade! I love how symmetrical and bold they are, yet they still look super natural!

As someone who doesnt wear makeup daily, I was looking for something that would really make my eyebrows pop with a natural look. I got my eyebrows micro bladed with Mel and they look amazing. I love my new brows!! With age, my eyebrows have gotten so thin you could barely see them anymore. I never wore too much makeup on them because I hated the unnatural look it gave me, but microblading was the perfect solution. Melanie was so precise with her work that I look like I have my old eyebrows back! The space was also so nice inside and clean. It was very relaxing and pain free. It felt more like going to the spa than going to get my eyebrows tattooed.

With my light hair my eyebrows have always been almost invisible and I started looking into microblading. I was worried about doing this because I didnt want super dark eyebrows that didnt match my hair. I found Melanie at Riverside cosmetic tattoo and now I cant stop staring at my face in the mirror, I love it so much. I was really worried about a cosmetic tattoo because Im really not the type to get tattoos, I have a career. Melanie was a perfect fit, she was precise and personable, she listened to exactly what I wanted and even had suggestions and advice to improve the look I wanted. She took the time to hear all my concerns and made sure not to make my semi-permanent eyebrow tattoos too dark. When she began the process, she was reassuring but also calculating. She is a true artist whose craft is to make you beautiful and bold. The only thing is that she is a bit edgy/alternative at first but she conducted herself professionally and was well-mannered.
