Recently had a tattoo done by the talented Kalie. Kalie is AMAZING, super professional and friendly. Im SO happy with how my tattoo turned out, and I cant wait to book another appointment! I have also had two tattoos done by Chelsea that I am constantly getting compliments on. ALWAYS a 5-star experience at Riverside. I travel from out of town to come to this shop (and their sister shop, Nomad Society) because their artists are trustworthy, talented, welcoming, and a lot of fun!

Everyone was very welcoming and I felt so comfortable the whole time! Lydia was amazing at making sure I was okay and walking me through the whole process since it was my first tattoo. Loved the overall vibes and appreciated how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is!

I was recommended Riverside by multiple people, and Lydia specifically! I was so glad to choose here for my first tattoo. The process was comfortable all-around, and I’m so happy with the design, linework, and blackout quality. I will definitely be back, and Lydia has such great flash options too! Fresh & healed photos.Added 6/2024: I’ve also had the pleasure of getting three tattoos by Hilliary! I really appreciate how she does a brief phone consult to get an idea of what you’d like. Her kewpies are just life-giving and she’s so enthusiastic and affirming. They’ve healed great!

Riverside Tattoo Parlor is a wonderful place to come get permanent work done to your body. The artists are so welcoming and friendly. Anyone who is not hateful or judgmental is warmly welcomed. From the receptionist to your personal artist, I guarantee your experience will be great. Chelsea is the bomb and she does awesome work. The prices are VERY reasonable, especially considering the work that comes out of the shop.

Lydia was great and Lila and Jenna at the counter made getting in for a tattoo on our trip super easy. Loved how welcoming the space was and really impressed with the artists at both Riverside and Nomad. Will tell everyone to check out both places if they’re in the area.

My daughter and I went in for our small, fine line tattoos. Lidia was our artist and she did an amazing job. She took her time and made sure they were perfect before we left. I would highly recommend this place for your tatts.

Hands down love the shop!! I have gotten both my tattoos from this store !!!! My first one was small and spontaneous however they were able to squeeze me in and get it perfect along with answering any questions I had. My second one that I just received Keira fox did a she hands down nailed the assignment with what I wanted!!!! He does amazing work and was the perfect artist for my tattoo I travel from middle ga just to come to this shop !I personally will never go any where else I love the atmosphere and the ladies here !!!

The atmosphere, the decorations, the artist, the tattoo, all of it was amazing! Hilliary was an absolute delight and drew the most beautiful design for my custom tattoo. I literally can’t think of a better design. The service was amazing and I’m so happy this is where I got my first tattoo!

This is a great tattoo parlor. Everyone is so welcoming and inclusive. I felt very relaxed and comfortable the whole time, the place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. My tattoo is also amazing I have gotten two at this location.

I’m pretty shy, nervous and honestly avoid people. I’ve never felt so at home or welcomed in a business before. The unique and talented artwork that Kalie does is impressive! The kindness and friendliness I was shown from the staff (specifically Caroline and Kalie) was refreshing. I’ve gotten 3 small tattoos from Riverside, 2 from Lydia. All of them have come out exactly how I wanted, even when I didn’t know exactly what I wanted. Maybe pricier than what you could get elsewhere, but I’d rather pay more to know the quality is going to be great. Always smooth, straight lines and amazing service. Lydia goes really light, about as painless as a tattoo could get. Probably the best tattoo shop in the area.

I had a really great experience at Riverside! I walked in while visiting one day & instantly liked the vibe & ambiance of the shop. The staff were really nice & chatted with us. I made an appointment a few weeks later. They were super organized during the appointment process, which I appreciated! I got tattooed by Hillary & really love how the tattoo came out! I’d definitely go back. I think all the artists make really great work! 💕

Riverside is the most welcoming and un-intimidating tattoo place I have ever been!! Kalie did an awesome job for me! She was focused and didnt work in the same spot for more than a few lines at a time so I didnt have to endure any longer than necessary. I would absolutely go back again!

I came in for a birthday tattoo appointment for my daughter and I inquired about a consultation for a tattoo for myself. Kierra was so nice and offered to put together something for me off a photo I showed her and worked me in later that same day. The facility was very nice and clean. All staff were very nice and professional. I had been stalking all of the artists social media in this particular tattoo parlor and honestly I would trust any of them to do artwork for me. I am however grateful for this amazing piece of art from Kierra Fox. I had a vision and she made it come true. I am so in love with it. I cant thank her enough.

Drop in on a flash sale that benefitted a local charity for a spontaneous tattoo. The shop is clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, the vibe is cool. Everyone was friendly. My artist Kierra was lovely and helped me find a comfortable position for the tattoo. Kierras presence was calm, warm and supportive. Totally recommend this shop. The entire experience of receiving my very first tattoo was so wonderful. The shop was very responsive and very clean and a really nice atmosphere. I really love my tattoo so much and since it was my first one it was very important to have a good experience. My artist did a really good job working with my ideas even though I change them several times and in the end I have the most beautiful tattoo and I’m so pleased with it!!! Thank you Hillary!! Lydia was great. If you are looking for fine line tattoos, shes your person! The entire staff is nice and inviting. The studio is also very clean! The place was stunning, the customer service was exceptional, my artist, Hil (tiki wonder) was beyond what you could ever ask for. Kind, patient, and extremely talented. She nailed what I had in my mind!! I struggled trying to explain it as this was a tat to honor my mom who passed away in January. But Hil gave me a way to carry my mom with me everyday!

I came to Lauren about an idea for a memorial piece for my nephew who passed and she not only listened but took the concept to the next level. I am in awe of her talent, diversity and couldn’t help but notice that her staff around her were also working on beautiful pieces. Riverside is amazing! Everyone that works there is so nice and does a great job of making you feel welcomed. Id been wanting a tattoo for years and after having had a few different friends get one from here and even having gone with them to one or two, I decided to go for it. I was super particular about what I wanted and ended up drawing out what I was thinking. On the day of my appointment Chelsea showed me sketches in a few different size options that were EXACTLY what I wanted. Would highly recommend and definitely plan on going back if I decide I want another!

My mother in law and I were in town on vacation and were told this was the place to go! I am SO glad we listened to that advice! We walked in to see if they had availability and Lauren was able to get us both in that next morning! I booked my first ever tattoo appointment with Riverside this past weekend and I have to say it was an incredible experience. I was very nervous for my first tattoo and my artist, Jayde, calmly walked me through each step and made me feel very comfortable. My tattoos I got done were fine line script, which both turned out perfectly. This shop is clean, informative, and most importantly kind. They worked with me as if they were a friend throughout the entire process. Even though I’m from up north, I for sure will make the trip to Riverside for any future tattoos!

What a great experience! I knew that Riverside Tattoo Parlor had a stellar reputation here in Savannah and I was doubly motivated to choose Riverside because they are both women owned and operated. I absolutely LOVED meeting Robyn and felt an instant connection with her. She immediately reminded me of our daughter. Pretty sure Robyn and daughter, Claire are very like minded, but I digress.I wanted a small tattoo with the word, verklempt on the inside of my wrist. I knew that I wanted it done using lettering from an old font, discussed with Robyn, and she came back with EXACTLY what I was looking for. The process was relatively quick and mostly painless, (ok, Im a little bit of a baby) but to the end, Robyn achieved precisely what I wanted.Surprisingly, very little redness and no soreness whatsoever after the fact. I posted my new tat on Facebook to show my many friends and family who all live in another state. MANY comments, all favorable, and most described it as Perfect.I have had ANOTHER tattoo in mind that is pretty substantial in size and Ive already asked Robyn if she would be interested in this project. She agreed, so I will be going back to Robyn again.Riverside Tattoo Parlor is great. I highly recommend them. ❤️

Me and my husband are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and we knew we wanted tattoos.This shop as a whole is amazing. They are very transparent with every last detail. The shop is very inviting. It’s a whole vibe in there. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and jade made sure our tattoos were absolutely perfect! As long as Riverside Tattoo exists I will NEVER get a tattoo anywhere else! Clean, timely, polite, accepting, respectful, caring, considerate, upbeat and cheerful...these are a few words that come to mind every time I visit Riverside. The staff is top notch, and everyone is highly skilled and KNOW exactly what they are doing! Tattoos are done with amazing line work, no scaring, they are not heavy handed, and they are fast but ACCURATE. Even better EVERYONE can draw amazingly and give you one of a kind art work. I get complimented on my tattoos done at Riverside everywhere I go by girls and guys. I travel from Florida to Georgia to get tattooed and its absolutely WORTH IT! Loved working with John Judy on LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Voldemort in the final battle. He went above and beyond with extra research to make them look incredible and was able to quickly adjust sizing around existing tattoos. Definitely will be back to work with him again on my next nerdy ideas.

I went to Riverside to get an existing tattoo colored in, as well as a new smaller one to continue my sleeve with. Lauren was great; very cool to talk to, worked quickly but carefully, and left me with beautiful art. I plan to return for more!

I found Riverside on Instagram when I moved to the area, and I loved Lydia’s work! I’ve worked with her for 4 different small tattoos, and I love all of them. I almost went with another place for the 1st one, but Riverside had a better, easier booking process and were much more responsive. I’m glad I went with them. The whole atmosphere is a lot cozier and more comfortable than other tattoo parlors I’ve been to in the past. I’m a loyal fan!

I was very excited to go to Riverside in general, because a friend had recommended it to me and because I knew they were a LGBTQ+ friendly business. It was my first tattoo and they did a fantastic job accommodating that. I worked with Josie, who was super nice and helpful throughout the entire process of the phone consultation, discussing the design in person, and actually tattooing me. The staff working the front desk were also super sweet and very helpful! I felt very welcomed/supported/well taken care of here. I definitely want to go back again!! :)

My wife and I traveled down to Savannah (from NY) for my 40th birthday and we knew we wanted a matching tattoos but were unsure which shop to go with. We looked into Riverside tattoo and knew it would be a perfect fit after looking through the artist’s portfolios, more specifically Hillary. It was super easy to book an appointment being out of state and couldn’t be more happy with our tattoos. I walked in with a weird idea for a birthday tattoo and Kalie absolutely crushed it! She was prepared to draw up my design exactly as I asked for it, but after seeing her macabre style I wanted her to design it more like her portfolio of nightmares. What I got was a tattoo that I absolutely love and cannot wait to show off! Even though I live in Florida, I will happily drive the 6 hours back for another fun Kalie creation.

I had a fantastic experience getting an old tattoo worked into something new and fierce by talented John Judy. He took my inspiration photos and, after a phone consult, created the perfect design. I love it and have already scheduled my next tattoo with him! Also... the vibe of Riverside is fantastic! Very laid-back, welcoming, and peaceful... with elements of fun and joy everywhere. This place is awesome! Chelsea had a last minute cancelation and they were able to squeeze me on a Saturday afternoon for a cupcake tattoo. Staff is super friendly. Chelsea was great to work with when I wanted to tweak the design a little bit. Im so happy with the result. Her lines are so clean and the shading on the frosting is perfect. Tattoo shops can be intimidating to walk into but as soon as I walked in, smiling faces and extremely welcoming! My appointment was with Chelsea and she was awesome. SUCH a good experience here! I emailed about an appointment, and while they didnt have anything they said if a cancelation came up theyd let me know. I was able to take a cancellations spot 3 days later. Jenn was my artist and was amazing!!! Super sweet and funny. The way she drew up my design was exactly how I pictured and her work is fantastic. The line work and the color came out great. She stayed late to get it all finished up for me. All around it was just a great tattoo experience.The shop itself is also very comfortable, and the decor is eclectic and really fun. Id recommend this shop to everyone. If I was going to be in Savannah longer Id love to come back here!

I saw a guest artist who was pure 🔥. She did such a great job to make sure I was comfortable and the tattoo(s) I picked were exactly what I wanted. She talked out some questions I had and made sure I got the right color lipstick. If Caroline Mae is ever guesting again I highly suggest you book her!! I also loved the front desk managers Layla and Caroline. They were so sweet and checked in on me throughout my visit. Everyone was so accepting, accommodating, and understanding. Love, love, love!! My friend and I traveled down to Savannah for a little vacation over Memorial Day weekend and we booked our tattoo appointments beforehand with Chelsea. Every time we called someone was always more than willing to help and answer our questions. Chelsea was great at working with the two of us and making sure we got something we both loved. When we went in to get our tattoos all of the staff were super nice, accommodating, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The atmosphere was awesome, and we both really loved the open air concept of the studio. Chelsea did an absolutely amazing job with our tattoos. We had a group come from out of town and they were able to accommodate us all! (We did book a time slot ahead of time). JENN was absolutely amazing. Great work, very talented. She was also very thorough with cleaning and care instructions, along with describing what to expect and walk you through the tattoo process (some of the girls were getting their first tattoo and were very nervous, but she made them feel very comfortable). The gal at the front desk was also extremely nice & great at communicating with us while planning everything in advance. The tattoo parlor was also very clean, and had wonderful vibes. Added bonus is that the shop is very close to an awesome coffee shop, eclectic stores, and a brewery - to get a beer AFTER your tattoo is done of course ;). Highly recommend Riverside and Jenn!

Decided last minute while visiting Savannah to get a little memento tattoo. I was so lucky that Hilliary had an opening for the cutest little flash piece. When I was 18 years old I got a tattoo without knowing what I wanted or doing research on the person tattooing me which resulted in a tattoo that I was not happy with. Fast forward to 2021, I finally started looking into getting it covered up. I had someone tell me about Lauren at Riverside Tattoo, I looked at her Instagram and was instantly happy to see that her flowers were exactly the style I was looking for. Great first tattoo experience here! The shop is clean and pretty with a calm vibe. It felt like I walked into a cool Savannah boutique rather than an intimidating tattoo shop. I never felt rushed during my appointment, and the artist helped me pick the best size and placement for my tattoo based on how it would look over time. I’m very satisfied with the result!

My experience at Riverside Tattoo was absolutely amazing! It was decorated beautifully, but it was also kept clean and the people behind the front desk were super friendly. My artist, Lydia, did my very first tattoo and was so great at keeping me calm and reassuring me. She helped me figure out the sizing and finalize my tattoos location, and she checked in on me during my session, making sure I was breathing and doing alright! Not only am I IN LOVE with my first tattoo, but I will be going back to get my next ones! 11/10 experience! Ive gotten a few tattoos at this shop. I have been to nearly every tattoo shop in Savannah and I have to say that Riverside is by far the best vibe and most welcoming of the bunch. Even with the awesome atmosphere there is a great collective of some of the most talented artists in the area. No pretention, no BS, just a great experience everytime I go.Ive personally been tattooed by both Lauren and Lydia and have been more than pleased with the results. My experience at Riverside Tattoo Parlor was incredible. The artist I used was very professional, creative, helpful and courteous. I am a relative newbie to tattoos, but, even beyond her being the exact kind of artist (shes incredibly talented) you would want doing one of your first tattoos, she was super patient and accommodating about the whole process. Booking the appointment was easy, and the front of house staff communicated thoroughly with me the process and discussed what I was looking for, and how the appointment would go. John did a fantastic job taking my artwork and tweaking it to make it really pop, and his linework and shading was fantastic. Aftercare instructions were clearly communicated. Lovely calm atmosphere, nice people. Drove from Statesboro for my appointment, and it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend, and Ill likely be returning at some point for more work.

More recently (July 2020) i got a beautiful piece with my two best friends from Lauren. Theyre super welcoming and make you feel comfortable and taken care of. As someone with very bad anxiety, feeling completely comfortable in a public place is pretty rare for me. I am more than satisfied with the quality of my tattoo. Lauren showed so much care and patience in making the design and placement perfect. If I wasn’t moving out of state so soon, I would get every one of my next tattoos from there.

Robin was awesome! She was super flexible with changes I made to the tattoo and very understanding when I had to reschedule last minute for a child care issue. She worked quickly and made me very comfortable. I will definitely be back!

This tattoo shop is unlike any other I’ve been too! No pretentiousness or anything. Everyone is so professional and kind. I felt instantly at ease throughout the whole process. This is my 5th tattoo but I’ll probably get the rest just from this shop alone. Lauren is super gentle and her line work is impeccable. I absolutely loved my experience there!

This is my first tattoo with Lydia and I already am itching for another! I have 6 tattoos and she was by far the most light handed. I couldn’t even feel when she started tattooing. I got “still I rise” in her cursive writing and it’s perfect. I’ve received so many compliments on how perfect the line work was. I really appreciate that they had preferred pronouns on the paperwork which I have yet to see at another tattoo shop. They all are so inviting, it’s such a good atmosphere would highly recommend!

I called ahead of time for a walk-in and they were really nice. Lily tattooed my flowers and she was really kind and patient. The inside is very clean and everyone who works there is amazing. Lauren is a great person to talk to and she is funny. Mo is a fantastic artist, I got to watch her tattoo my cousin after mine was done. She was really nice and cool. Lily is great at conversations when tattooing. I told her it was my first time getting a professional tattoo and she calmed me down and talked to me. She is also an amazing artist and I highly recommend her. The whole place is cool and chill. I highly recommend getting a tattoo here.

This is an amazing place to get tattooed! Everyone is friendly and happy to be there. My artist Lauren was so accommodating told me that if anything felt wrong with my design we could fix and adjust before we started. While tattooing I was very comfortable and was talked through the whole process! Overall I highly highly recommend :))

Ive used Lauren at Riverside Tattoo for my last 4 tattoos and the only bad thing I can say is Im sorry I didnt use them sooner. Lauren and her team are phenomenal, all the tattoo artists are very talented in their own right.Every idea I give Lauren turns into this amazing tattoo and is always just what Ive thought of but dont have the talent to draw it out. Her vision and artistry are amazing.Ive been to both the Thunderbolt and Bull St shop. Everything is always neat, clean, and sanitized. Plus everyone is pleasant and friendly. Im not sure I will use any other tattoo shop for future art

Best tattoo shop in town. I got a tattoo a few years ago when they were in Thunderbolt and loved it. Then in May Lauren did flowers and a butterfly on my arm. Yesterday John did a paw print with water colors. I love all three of my tattoos.

Lauren has been nothing short of amazing! Everyone that I’ve met in the shop has been welcoming and friendly. I’ve personally been tattooed by Lauren and we are still in the works of finishing my arm piece and it looks AMAZING.
