Im heavily tattooed, so I do my research before getting with an artist. A friend recommended me to his artist Josh, who gave me my best color piece to date. Josh was able to explain different aspects & ideas he had for the piece in laymans terms & more tattoo-specific language in a way thats a total asset for me as a customer- found out dude has bartender experience, makes total sense- and help me adjust placement for the perfect lay and fit.The whole tattoo went by really quickly for how much work and color are packed in, and I dont like to rank my faves but he knocked it out of the park with this Wooper. Check out the droplines & bounce lights on that, its sooo vibrant & personable. Incredibly fun tattooShop is clean & professional, Josh gives a great experience & excellent tattoo. If youre into his style definitely give him your idea and let him have fun with it- Im hitting him up for my next color piece.

I only had great experiences at this shop! I came in after a different place had done a rather painful job with my ear. Paola was not only incredibly nice and professional while helping me, she also took extra care to not hurt me further as she replaced everything with higher quality jewelry. Ive been back a few times for new piercings, as well as jewelry changes, and shes been nothing but helpful and informative! Definitely my go to shop for anything piercing!

Josh was an amazing artist. I gave him the tattoo concept I wanted and his design was was more beautiful than I imagined. He had a very light touch during the tattoo process and artwork came out perfectly. He was concerned throughout the process about making sure it was something that I would love and would look goo long-term. Plus, he’s just a really good guy. 10/10 highly recommend!

Paola pierced my rook in January 2024 and did a fabulous job. She was an apprentice at the time and took her work seriously; she talked me through everything she was doing, checked in with her mentor, and made everything as easy and pain free as possible. I’ve been to a few piercing shops that have made me feel intimidated and like I didn’t belong there but I walked in and immediately felt comfortable and relaxed.

Josh is an amazing tattoo artist. He took my ideas and turned them into an original work of art. He really took his time to understand what I wanted. He was friendly and down to earth. His station was hygienic and he explained everything he was doing. I really enjoyed working with him. I will definitely go back to Josh for my next tattoo.

Just got an incredible New School tattoo, and I couldnt be happier with the entire experience! Josh truly went above and beyond, taking the time to carefully listen to my ideas and craft a design that was not only custom and unique but also perfectly aligned with what I wanted. The attention to detail and creativity in the design is amazing. Its clear that Josh put a lot of thought and care into every aspect of the tattoo. Im beyond thrilled with the final result, and Ill definitely be coming back for more!

I’ve gotten several pieces done by Josh, most recently an upper arm piece last week. It looks amazing! Great all around experience. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends that want a super cool tattoo and hope to get my wife some ink from him.

Just got my tattoo yesterday from Jacqi and she was amazing! She had great communication leading up to the appointment and really brought my vision to life and listened to my requests. Got my upper lobe piercings done here with Dennis originally. For my first appointment I found that the symmetry of the piercings between my two ears was a little off and contacted the artist to see if we could remedy the situation. They responded quickly and offered to fix the situation after some healing time.Paola was both super patient in helping arrange this follow up appointment and was a fabulous piercer, making sure the second piercing lined up and that I was happy with it as well as talking me through the process. Cant recommend her enough!

This is my 2nd tattoo from Fattys - Silver Spring and I couldnt be happier. I came from New Jersey to have this done and would not think about going anywhere else. Jacqui is amazing, a true artist. 100% professional, personable, and very clear about the process before, during, and after. Highly, highly recommend her!!

I took my 5 year old to get her ears pierced here and everything was great. It was clean, we barely had to wait, and no one got frustrated when my kid took a long time to decide on her earrings. The piercings themselves are perfect and the process was so smooth and easy that my kid barely reacted. They healed beautifully.5 months later they started getting little bumps on the back. I emailed the studio and got a response back immediately with info from Dennis, who did the original piercing, telling us what they were and what we should do. The bumps were my fault - I wasn’t drying the back of her ears when they got wet.I think this place is great and their responsiveness and continued support is really fantastic.

I am a regular at Fatties and frequent the shop on average once a month. I went in yesterday on 19 february and had an amazing service. The eyes she did turned out better than I imagined. Jacqui is a wonderful artist and a super cool person. She has done 3 of my tattoos and will be doing more work for me in the near future. The entire shop is clean, not cheesy and has a cool vibe. Everyone in the shop, Dennis, Ashley, Rafe, Fatty are also very kind without exuding a sense of entitlement that a lot of other artists at other shops have.

I recommend 10/10 every time! Rafael Gomez is a true master of the art! He took the bits and pieces of my feeble attempt to tell him what I wanted and he created a masterpiece for my coverup! If you are ever at the Silver Springs location, Rafael Gomez is who you want!

We are so thrilled with our matching Deadpool/wolverine tattoos done by Josh. He was professional, super friendly and extremely talented. It was evident he loves his job. Shop was clean, great location and a couple minutes walk from parking garage.

I initially rated this shop low, however within 30 minutes I was contacted by a representative from the shop. They assured me they had been in contact with me and wished to correct issue. I found this to be extremely professional and customer oriented. Much respect!

I was pierced by Paola and had the best experience I’ve ever had with a piercer. She is extremely professional and good at what she does. Highly recommend!

I spent a lot of money at Fattys on an earlobe piercing with Dennis. It got inflamed afterwards, frequently scabbing and bleeding, even though I followed the instructions.It didnt heal after I continued to care for it for many months. Doctors told me to contact the piercer, so I emailed Dennis to set up an appointment. However, Fattys changed my name in their system to BLACKLISTED and refused to let me set up an appointment. Why? Because I left a 1 star Google review (with no text), and because they dont do business with people who leave negative reviews. Fattys refused to take even an ounce of responsibility or show any apology or sympathy whatsoever after the expensive professional piercing I bought from them had been doing badly for almost a year. I felt like they were blackmailing me into removing my negative review, because neither me nor any of the doctors I talked to know what to do, and I was relying on Fattys for advice and instructions for how to resolve this bad situation. I emailed them back, saying if they would help fix the situation, I would retract my review before I even set up the appointment. But they ghosted me and never responded.I feel betrayed and angry by their unprofessional behavior, and I recommend that you get your earlobe piercing anywhere else.Edit: My response to Fattys: 1. Fattys accuses me of not reaching out to them, and they would have been willing to help. However, as I said in my review, I did reach out, and they ghosted me. 2. Fattys accuses me of not caring for my piercing correctly. However, I did care for it correctly, and they have literally no reason to think that I didnt. They are proving my point for me: they take absolutely no responsibility for their actions, and when something goes wrong, they resort to victim-blaming.

Had the most WONDERFUL time with Jacqi, who took her time to accommodate my chronic illness while doing my tattoo. she was so sweet and caring while doing her incredible art. Im obsessed.

I got my tattoo with Jacqi. She did such splendid work on my leg piece that initially needed to be resized to fit the area I requested and she was patient and respectful with the whole process. The picture she took while utilizing the black background highlighted the tattoo at its peak fresh ink. Definitely gonna need more with her!

Paola is awesome! I wanted to get an industrial but my anatomy wasnt suited so we opted for a faux industrial using chains to connect two separate helix piercings. The piercing turned out amazing and looks so beautiful!! Paola made the piercing experience, from talking about the piercing and jewelry to the actual piercing itself, so fun and I felt really at ease during the whole process. Everything was really great and it made me definitely want to come back so I even went back to get a rook and a helix piercing from her which turned out amazing as well! Definitely recommend getting piercings from Paola!

Josh did a great job stylizing the idea I had in my head into reality and was great to work with! Very talented and receptive to feedback in order to ensure I was as happy as possible with the end result :)

Dennis is awesome 🙌 I liked him as soon as I saw him and he was friendly, open, and had a sort of dry sense of humor (which I happen to appreciate). Got my bridge pierced after checking anatomy and chatting a bit, and I have a really good feeling about its healing process as so far (a little over a week) it looks great.

Jacqi made this a great experience for a first tattoo, totally comfortable setting and it just felt like hanging out with people I’ve known for years! Love having my dog on me forever.

Ashley single handedly tacked my terrible tattoo cover up. Through sheer technique, wonderful design, and overall skill, Ashley covered it up and left me with a piece I can proudly show anyone and everyone. I would recommend her and this shop to anyone who asks. Clean and convenient location. 1,000,000 out of 10.

Dennis is the absolute best! I was so anxious about getting some piercings done, but he made me feel comfortable and had me laughing the whole time. I’d recommend his work to anyone, I’ll definitely be back again!

Had my first tattoo done by Jacqi at the Silver Spring location and couldn’t be happier! Very professional and answered all my questions. Gotten many compliments since. Also used gender neutral language which was very refreshing.

I really wanted a black cat somewhere on my arm for spooky season. Jacqi took my inspo pic and created the fluffiest, most adorable kitten ever! Her suggestions for size and placement were spot on, and I can show it off in all my favorite outfits. I absolutely love my spooky kitten and will definitely be booking more tats!

Difficult to book appointment. The two women tattoo artist are very rude (jaqui & Ashley). Bad customer service. Don’t return emails. Alittle dirty in the silver spring location. Wouldn’t recommend. Wouldn’t return.

The artists are all kind, helpful, and friendly. Rafael helped me design the tattoo and did great work on it. Answered all questions fully and was very accommodating.

Paola did two of my lobe piercings and I can’t recommend her enough. Very knowledgeable and helpful 👍🏽

Paola changed my nostril piercings to flat backs and she was super nice and informative. I could not have asked for a better experience!!

Though i can say the piercer i had seemed like a very cool person, also the place was clean and professional.. My piercing itself is not up to my expectations at all. 6 months after getting my nose pierced at this place i am finally switching to a hoop and am realizing he pierced my nostril way too low. Hoops look very weird on me and i have to get something smaller than a regular nose hoop (most i see are 8-10mm but i will need something 6mm or even smaller!!) which is very upsetting because i originally went in there with the thought of switching to a hoop as soon as possible, which i told him. However, the piercer insisted i get the hole much lower than i had in mind. he claimed i would “need room for a hoop” and the spot i was asking for looked too high to him! I now am wishing i had ignored the advice. I feel like i was persuaded into saying yes because you’d think a professional piercer knows best. i am very upset and disappointed. i spent $200+ on this piercing and am considering taking it out because it looks weird and not in the correct placement. If i can be helped in any way i would appreciate it a lot.

This is not your fathers tattoo parlor nor the 1 down the ally. Fattys is an artistic space that does tattoos. From the art work on the wall. Too the art work on your body. It is all top notch.I emailed thru the website. Fatty himself called me. We discussed what I wanted done. I was lucky to haveRafael G recommended. Rafael contacted me in a very timely manner. We arranged to meet to discus what I wanted. I took some pictures with me for this meeting.The day the art work was to happen was awesome. All the staff where nice. The space was cleaner than my house. Rafael showed me his portrayal of what I wanted. It was more than I had hoped for. From start to finish was pure customer service.Because the work was on my shoulder I was not able to really see the work till done. Upon complication. I went to the bathroom mirror. I was just stunned. His artistry captured what we discussed. But even more so. Such that I cried.Their is not a word in a Google search too describe how happy I was to have had the opportunity for Fattys and Rafael to preform their artistry. Ive been tattooed by Zac on four separate occasions and I plan to keep going back. Hes really focused on giving you the best tattoo possible. He worked up a beautiful design for a half sleeve on my right arm a did a fantastic job with the outline and color. I couldnt be happier with it. Hes also very patient and spent a good deal of time making sure the placement was right for a tattoo on my left arm that wraps around my bicep. Hes a real chill guy and great to talk to.The shop itself is very clean and comfortable. Everyone Ive met that works there has been friendly and knowledgeable. Its a great atmosphere for getting tattooed.

I had a pretty great experience here yesterday. I went in with a design in mind and Ray helped me to bring it to life. He was friendly and insightful and even suggested a better location for my tattoo than the original location I had in mind. He was professional and maintained good conversation throughout the session and made me feel comfortable. His skills are WELL worth the price you pay and I sure cant wait for my tattoo to heal so I can see the final look! I will definitely be coming back here for my next tattoo granted that he is there to do it. Thanks Ray, I love the feather it came out amazing!

I got my first tattoo here from Stephanie. I walked in without a picture but a basic concept of what I wanted, we spoke a little bit about the concept and why I chose it, making me feel comfortable. We then scheduled an appointment. The shop gave me her email so I was able to send a couple pics I found that I liked. When I came in to the appointment I was pleasantly surprised with what she came up with. The whole thing didnt take too long and we chatted through a lot of the process. She was really easygoing and relaxing. I would recommend her to any of my friends.

I came to fatty with an idea that I was prepared to fly to California to get bc I didnt know if an East coast artist could pull it off. As soon as I walked in the door he made me feel right at home, vibed with my idea, and I knew this was the right place to come. Fatty is definitely producing some of the best work on the East Coast!I came back for my first session and he already had two references for the main part of the tattoo that were way better than I had started with. Then using markers and his expertise laid the whole 3/4 sleeve out on my arm to make sure it flowed correctly.From there over the next few sessions the tattoo came alive and fatty skillfully adjusted to how it healed, how to fill it in, and delivered the tattoo I dreamed of. Cant speak highlyenough about his skill, attention to detail, cleanliness, and professionalism. After all the hours in the chair with fatty Id call him a friend and Ill be back for my next tattoo whenever that may be. Im sure soon. He is the best there is!

I had been calling around the area to get a small tattoo priced when I came upon Fattys. I submitted a message for an estimate and Kevin got back to me the same day. We scheduled a time and location for me to come in the following week. When I got to the Silver Spring location he was already set up. Once we sized the sketch he got started. The area was clean and he was fast. I was in and out within 30 minutes. The tattoo was reasonably priced compared to quotes I received from other shops in the area. I love my tattoo and I am now a loyal customer. Thanks Kevin!

I am not one to write negative reviews (this is literally my first one) but I have been very disappointed about my piercing experience here with Dennis.My sister and I came for a piercing 6 months ago and at that time Dennis was great. Answered all of our questions and helped us decide on some beautiful jewelry. Overall, a great experience!So we decided to come back - 6 months later - to have our earrings shortened and get another piercing. I reached out to Dennis again we had an appointment booked with him which we confirmed through the portal. After a 45 minute drive up to Silver Spring we arrived at Fattys and Dennis was nowhere to be found. A few staff that were there tried to get a hold of him, I was contacting him through the portal and after waiting around for over 30 minutes we were told he was out of town for the weekend! He had never reached out to reschedule our appointment.My sister and I spent several hours of our day driving to and from this appointment and I have yet to get a reply or have anyone from Fattys reach out to try to make this right.I would say I am a very understanding person and understand that mistakes or even family emergencies happen. And my sister and I treated all the staff who tried to help us very friendly but I expected for Dennis to follow up with me and try to make up for his mistake and I’ve heard nothing.After this experience I would not recommend coming here for a piercing and will be looking to take my business elsewhere.

Got my nose pierced by Dennis. Had a pleasant experience and would recommend him. Piercing healed well.I was specifically looking for a shop that was clean and where masks were being worn, especially since i had to remove mine. Everyone in the shop except one person had a mask. I got my nose pierced in a room and noted that Dennis sanitized the chair and the piercing itself. I was given the opportunity to check my piercing positioning. Was given printed after care instructions and the steps were walked through. When I had a question after my piercing, I was able to get in touch with Dennis and receive quick response via Fattys message portal. Things may move quickly after the piercing so suggest you take your time if you have questions or need a minute.

The person that did my piercing didnt realize the piercing will be hitting my glasses and the piercing went under my skin. The back and front are infected due to placement of the piercing not being placed right. I cant see behide my ear so I couldnt tell him to move it nor did he say anything; he did a triple helix. Paid 300 almost and all I can say is he was nice. Wont be coming back but this was my experience. Off to the ER.Edit: I did take very good care of my piercing but like I said my glasses pushed the piercing under due to the placement of the piercing which wasnt placed right. The owner had stated why I didnt reach out; but I did multiple times and went to the store. Each time either no one answered or the piercer wasnt on site. If it helps him blame me for after care then okay, regardless that was my experience.

I had such great experiences at Fattys. Nice shop and friendly staff. Fatty was so patient, talented & creative - he managed to incorporate all of my ideas into amazing custom designs that are far better than I ever imagined!!

I took my daughter (7yo) and we were holding our breath because wed had such a negative experience with another piercing business, and Dennis couldnt have been any better. Hes really good with kids and people of all ages. Very kind, fun, humorous, and professional. He was precise with the piercing and he has a great eye, which is good, because my eye is fussy. I cannot speak highly enough of Rafael and the work he did. Not to mention, he’s just a good dude to talk with.I drive truck across the US and in town with a concert tour. I’m working on getting artwork in every state that are related to that state. I texted him some thoughts I had but really wanted it to be something he had input into as well. He came up with a killer piece that plays off the geometric patterns on my Alaska tattoo on the other arm. I’d say he’s got a light to medium touch. He works quickly but with great attention to detail. I’d definitely come back or recommend him to anyone.Thanks again for the artwork Rafael.

Dennis was amazing. So easy to talk to, very calming, chill, soothing personality. I honestly didnt have a chance to get anxious at all about my nose piercing. The shop clearly took Covid-19 procedures seriously, and I saw him wipe everything down immediately after use. Talked me though everything I needed to know to take care of my new piercing, and I left feeling confident with my new piece. 15/10 reccomend Fattys, and book your appointment with Dennis if you can! 1000% coming back here for any future work.

I am only rating the piercing hardware selection. Thats it, no comment about piercers or tattoo artists, they all seemed nice.The selection of jewelry is minimal and not well made.

Dennis did a WONDERFUL job with piercings for my child and me. He was very courteous and took time to provide education regarding best fit and care for optimal healing. Got my septum pierced here by Dennis and he had a sweet apprentice with him as well. They were kind and quick. Both of them made me feel safe and at ease for the piercing. The messaging service on Fattys website is super useful. Would definitely recommend them to others and go back for more piercings :)

I hate to make this review because I was happy but I have to now because I was stood up by Kevin at silver spring for my second appointment for another tattoo. My first tattoo, Kevin was supportive and helped me with my tattoo but after that finished he promised another appointment and never came. This was many many days now and after messaging him how unhappy I was to not get the appointment at all, he has never responded since that date. I’m not very happy with the communication and hope that he improves upon his communication if he sees this.

Based on my experience yesterday and other reviews this place seems to either not care for doing piercings, or is discriminatory toward black people, or both… but there seems to be no action taking place to address that.I’m disappointed bc I came here in college to get my nose pierced (maybe 6 years ago).. so I was encouraged to visit again.Yesterday I Tried to inquire about piercings and the guy who came to unlock the door was very rude. He seemed to be in a rush but was very dismissive and had a poor attitude. I did not feel welcomed and made me not want to returnPotential customers, whether scheduled or unscheduled should not be treated like a burden.

Dennis is literally an angel. From start to finish he treated me kindly and was as gentle as he could be with my septum piercing. I have gotten over 3 facial piercings at Fatty’s and it’s always the place I recommend! Not to mention they are very covid-safe and are very upfront and strict with their guidelines so you know the environment you are walking into is safe and professional.

I went in to replace some body jewelry and get a new conch piercing. Dennis was absolutely amazing and I’d most definitely go back to him for more piercings. Highly recommend this spot and Dennis for your piercing needs.

I had an absolutely splendid time! Dennis was my piercer and managed to fit me in earlier than my appointment. Literally the piercing took maybe 5 min and hurt slightly, but it wasnt unbearable. Would highly recommend Fattys and will be coming back again!

I went to Fattys for a forward helix piercing with Dennis and it was a great experience. Very clean shop, very welcoming, nice and had lots of jewelry options at various price points. Dennis was so welcoming, walked me though every step and made me feel very comfortable. I will be going to him for all future piercings, hands down!

Gone to Fattys Silver Spring location for several piercings, ear and body. Your mileage will vary by artist, but the place is overall top notch. The entire process is professional. Check in, paperwork, aftercare instructions, each piece of the operation runs beautifully. Space is well appointed, comfortable, and looks carefully maintained. Pricing is what you would expect for the area, in my opinion a discount piercing job should cause some concerns. If youre looking for some work, I would strongly recommend this operation, Ive gone back four times now and recommend them to my family.Side note, this outfit is definitively LGBTQIA+ competent, they know how to work on trans folx, and thats not super common.

I came all the way from Connecticut to be tattooed by Mikey and it was well worth it! My tattoo came out absolutely perfect. He is an incredible artist with remarkable attention to detail. I am extremely happy with my experience here. The shop is very clean with a friendly and welcoming staff.

I went to get a septum piercing today for my birthday. I highly recommend coming to Fattys. Dennis did a great job and we have a great convo before and after my piercing was done. His personality is great and very straight forward. I love my piercing so so much!

I got my septum done at another shop. But I was paranoid that it was done incorrectly. In a panic, I googled piercing shops near my location and Fattys came up. They have a section on their website to show you their piercers and their work and thats where I found Danni. I messaged Danni on Instagram to confirm my fears about my septum and she was nice enough to give me her professional opinion and told me the placement wasnt one she would have done. Trusting her word, I got it removed, let it heal for a week, and went to Danni to get it redone.Danni was extremely professional and took her time to find the perfect placement for my septum piercing! Something the previous piercing shop didnt do. She was really nice and did the job PERFECTLY. I literally cant stop looking at it in the mirror! If I ever get any more piercings, Danni will be the person Ill always go to.Thanks again, Danni!PS: Your bridge piercing was absolutely gorgeous. ❤️

Went to Fattys for a nose piercing with my Sister in Law. Dennis was very knowledgeable and showed us the different size nose rings. I ended up with the 2mm stud with champagneSwarovski crystal. He also pierced our noses and explained everything that was going to happen before moving forward. The piercing itself was simple and took less than 3 minutes and was a pinch. Dennis was also kind enough to take a photo with me and my sis in law after we were both done. Were going back for our 8 week check-up next month. Great service, 2 thumbs up 👍🏾 👍🏾. I can’t even begin to describe how taken care of I felt as soon as I walked in. I had a swollen/infected keloid-looking tragus piercing and I needed help taking it out. The entire staff was wonderful to me. It literally took 10 seconds to get it out, and everything was done very professionally. Highly recommend the shop. Thank you for your friendliness!

I got my full sleeve done at fattys by fatty himself, and I can tell you now every single piece of the process was amazing. I live far away, almost a 14 hour drive, so he and his shop were very accommodating fitting me in when I was in town. And just look at this work! he took my absolute mess of ideas and concepts and made them into not only an amazing design but one that fits the flow of my body! This tattoo holds heavy religious significance to me, so it is by far my most important tattoo, and he made every step amazing and the final result even more so!

Got my first tattoo. Everyone was super nice and inclusive, not condescending or obnoxious. Zac listened to me and was able to bring my ideas and design into focus. I had a great experience in the shop, and am very happy with the work. Very professional, honest, and considerate employees.

Three words come to mind with Fattys in Silver Spring. Friendly, professional, and trustworthy. All staff members are polite and accommodating. I always felt welcome in the shop from the moment I walked in the door. Their polite and courteous interactions make it a pleasant place to be.The level of expertise demonstrated by Fattys artists is second to none. Look at their portfolios online and youll see that the work they do is always top notch. I say the shop is trustworthy because Fatty gave me excellent advice when it came to the layout and overall composition of my tattoo. I came in with a general idea and felt 100% comfortable asking Fatty for his advice on size, colors, and level of detail. I knew right off the bat that he could be trusted because his honest feedback made it clear he wanted what was best for me and my tattoo.

I really wanted to love this shop, but unfortunately didnt have a great experience. The owners customer service was great, but the piercer not so much. Though I asked for a snug hoop for my nose (and was willing to wait for it to be ordered), Kyle eyeballed my size and ended up putting one wayyy too large. It looked ridiculous. I was so disappointed but he didnt seem to care too much. So that was $95 not well spent. Went to another piercer and got one that fits perfectly. Im really sorry my experience wasnt great.

Denis is absolutely Amazing I love him. I searched online for 4-5 Places in my area and no one was able to help. I found one girl and she gave me the wrong gauge size or size she wanted me to have. So I needed to the switch my rings out for the size I asked for because I’m pregnant and my body is changing. Ppl literally were like we don’t know much about that can’t help you. I found Fatty’s through BVLA’s retailers locator. I communicated with Denis what I was looking for through the websites communication portal. I also appreciated I was able to see some of the jewelry they sell.I’m so happy I found Denis and this establishment. I had an amazing experience! The environment is super clean, I have OCD so I know. Denis’ energy is top tier I want to bottle it! He made me feel so comfortable and distracted me when I felt a little pain while switching everything out lol. Because everything is tender right now even though these piercings are healed. He has a super gentle touch. I’m definitely going back to purchase additional jewelry for all of my piercings. I would definitely recommend Denis to all my pregnant girls who want to keep their piercings! Anyone who wants a grand experience!

Dennis was such a kind professional for my restoration. Even though I ran late due to my poor planning, he took it in stride and executed on the work with ease. Very easy to talk to and establish the right vibe. I cant wait to get some more upgrades done!

I went to Fattys today with my daughter. We were met at the door by Dennis. I didnt like the way he answered the door whether we had a appointment or trying to find out some information. We went in and Dennis was like who is this with you. I told him I wasnt going to stay I wanted to see the jewelry. Once we got to Silver Spring from Germantown my daughter took out her birth certificate. Dennis told her that she needed a state Id, passport ID etc. You talked to her on the portal to make the appointment so, why didnt you let her know at that time? Then I said I was her mother and he asked, How do I know that you? First of all that is not customer service and you could have said it a little better. Nor did you say hey when you get everything come back and see us or the fact that he didnt offer her to make another appointment. People want you to use these portals and no customer service attached. Dennis couldnt do anything else for us and I would never go back to him for anything. Ive looked at other reviews and Im truly surprised by this behavior. Put it on your messaging or let people know when they book their appointment. So a minor I can come in and show ID and say do this but, as a 19 year old I cant? Figure that one out. He showed no caring about losing a customer and guess what if he didnt care neither do I.

Hubby got a tattoo done by Moses. He was so lovely, made sure we were happy with the design before he started. He put a film on to take his mind off the pain, which worked really well. Moses was so friendly and nice! It was reassuring to have someone like him doing the tattoo! We came all the way from London and heard Fattts was one of the best places to go and we were not disappointed!

Dani does a fantastic job. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and goes out of your way to make you feel as comfortable as possible while youre there. Ive gotten 7 piercings from her and Im very lucky to have found her!

This was my first tattoo and I was nervous about the whole thing. Kevin was so kind, and made the the process simple and less nerve-racking. Now I am so happy and literally feel like I’m walking around with a piece of art on my back. It’s all just line work, but I feel so powerful and beautiful with my new tattoo. Thank you so much Kevin! Fatty himself hooked me up with an amazing tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with the end-result. He drew the design freehand with pens onto my skin (no stencils). He is a true artist! The studio is modern and clean and all of the staff I encountered wasl super friendly and professional. If you are looking for top notch work I highly recommend Fattys!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I knew with an industrial piercing, they would have to assess things in person so I made the drive. The process was very smooth and they were very thorough. One note, youll need to provide all information even if youve been to another Fattys location.

Appointment only for a customer to *purchase* jewelry is ridiculous. The piercer said it’s because they have to sterilize the jewelry + whatever else. This would take all of 20 minutes which he said would push him back with other clients.All in all, Fatty’s is price gauging under the guise of safety.

Ive gotten three of my tattoos at the Silver Spring Fattys location - a small wrist tattoo, and two custom pieces. Theres a reason that I keep coming back. This crew is invested in what they do, and I always feel like Im in good hands. Plus I always leave with an amazing tattoo that I love! Couldnt ask for more.

Tried getting my lip re-pierced. I know you can’t go thru old scaring. But I wanted it as similar to the same place it was before (centered/even).The piercer totally botched the first hole he made (I guess) because he told me he had to TRY AGAIN.Not acceptable.His second try was another fail. I have a crooked piercing. It healed so wonky it affected how I closed my mouth/moved my lips.This was obvious to me before I left. I said oh it looks a little crooked. Piercer said it’s just the swelling.Crooked piercing. Paid full price. Even tipped bc I trusted these “professionals”.I even called a few weeks later when swelling went down and I could tell this is how the piercing would stay. Nothing.Oh and on top of an extra pierced hole in my face. Never got an apology for that. And now I doubt I can ever have this fixed !

Its pretty difficult to judge the place with multiple artists. My review is about Ben (he did my tattoo). He did a great job with my sketches ( and I am not an artist), gave me an idea how it can be done and was willing to discuss any specifics. Its not cheap (but if you go custom you should know that anyway).I have seen some negative reviews about this place. Just do your homework, be prepared, check with your doctor if you are an allergic for something (for example I used Aquaphor and Curad pads for bandage after – just discuss that beforehand).To give an idea how good it was – the healing completed in 4 days, no bleeding or discoloration, pilling was just one day or so – this is for 2 hours tattoo.

Excellent service, competitive prices. Dennis did a great job on my triple helix and made me feel so comfortable! Its healing up great.

Thank you to the gentleman who did that.I enquired about getting my tattoo covered up by another artist and knowing that I have dark shading and my skin tone being dark aswell I knew it would not be an easy task, nonetheless I did not appreciate the dismissive attitude. Definitely not going back there.

On 9/23/17, I went into the Sliver Spring location to get a nose piercing. Kyle was the best. I had a million questions, he was patient and answered all my questions. He is an awesome piercer, it was quick and painless.

I can only speak on piercings, but Dennis is such a wonderful human! They also respond very quickly if you send an online message or inquiry. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Called them about a month ago asking if I could come in and get my nose pierced for my 16th birthday, told me I need to bring a passport, birth certificate, and my parents identification. I say my passport is expired and they say it’s fine still bring it in. I call back today and they say that’s not true and I need to bring something in. Haven’t been taken my learns yet and even if I did it wouldn’t come until two weeks. I wanted to get my nose pierced on my actual 16th birthday, and I’ve been waiting for 2 years. So thank you fattys for absolutely nothing !

This place has racist tattoo artists or they blatantly discriminate against black people. Not sure which one but its all equally as awful. No debating.I came here and asked to a quote to cover up a small tatto. I was told that for a flower with color it would start at 600 bucks. Mind you the tattoo they would cover was no more than 3 inches long if that. I was told for a basic lotus flower ( not even realistic with possible color it would range from 600 and up. I was also told I was welcome to shop around . Also, the tattoo artist never came out to speak to me to even see the tatto but was behind a wall instructing the receptionist on what to say to me . Meanwhile another black woman came and showed a basic bird she wanted small and colored in black! They told her starting at 250 ! The tatto artist didnt show his face to her either. Meanwhile I have white friends who go here who have large tattoos from this place for 300 bucks . How does this sound?I went to tatoo paradise in Wheaton and got the cover up with a large flower (larger than the one I showed the people at this place) with leaves,Color and other flowers around it for 250! Shout out to Ryan . So moral of the story black people dont waste your dollars here.

Very professional and nice neat shop!! However, they seem to be pricey for the piercings, as other shops may charge a flat fee including jewelry they charge for the piercing and jewelry separately.

Theyre really expensive. The ball fell out of my piercing the next day and they made me pay to replace it. At least the piercings came out straight.
