Had the absolute pleasure of being tattooed by Amanda and I would absolutely recommend her. She was so patient, friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable and obviously talented. She really put my mind at ease throughout the whole process from planning to finish. I never once felt pressured or felt like I was bothering her with my questions or concerns and she was just so positively affirming all the way through. She really made this tattoo for me an extremely positive experience. I love love love this tattoo and some of the sensitive areas were tough to get through pain wise but I will always think of this experience fondly because of her. The shop itself is very clean and the other artists were great, its an overall great vibe in the shop. Im so happy to have found Amanda, definitely see her.

I highly recommend Artisanal Tattoo. My artist was Vega. Vega went out of his way to make me feel comfortable, alleviate my concerns, be friendly, and give me a quality tattoo. He is a versatile artist proficient in many styles, and his work is impressive. The shop itself was clean, and everyone was very professional. I will return to this shop.

I have been going to this shop for a couple years. I only get tattooed by Lorelei but all members of the staff are outgoing, friendly, and accommodating. This is a very inclusive and welcoming shop and as long as you also display this sort of demeanor, you will fit right into the family.Lorelei has done 6 of my tattoos including a full sleeve, huge thigh piece, cover ups, etc. Every time I go to get work done Lorelei is careful and accommodating with the stencil placement, provides a great design based on my request, chit chats with me as we have become closer through all our hours together, lets me take any breaks willingly, and produces fabulous work.The attitude of an artist makes a great difference during a time when our bodies are experiencing trauma. I would rather pay more than have a jerk tattooing me.Truthfully, anyone who describes the staff at Artisanal as unprofessional or rude is inexperienced in the art of being tattooed - there is an etiquette and culture and that needs to be understood.I recommend this shop to anyone.

I got my first tattoo yesterday from Vega and I loved every second of my experience here at Artisanal Tattoos. Naturally, I was feeling a sense of anxiety leading up to the appointment as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Vega made me feel comfortable from start to finish. I originally had emailed 2 references of tattoos that I would like to get on my left bicep, and he used great creativity to combine both designs into 1. The entire staff was super friendly and easy to talk to as they all seemed to love their job and take pride in their work. I love my new tattoo that I received and I highly recommend getting a tattoo from Vega!

I got pierced by Tiffany and she was beyond amazing! She and Eury both made me feel so comfortable and were super sweet and funny. I recently went back for a downsize and it the same amazing energy as my first appointment. Eury was very patient and helpful when I was selecting my jewelry, she made sure I left with exactly what I wanted. My appointment was painless and Tiffany was very comforting and explained aftercare really well. Can’t wait to go back!! 10/10 I recommend Tiffany for your piercings

Ive always been self conscious about my stomach so i was so excited to get my belly button pierced. Tiffany pierced my naval, after 8mo i still had an irritated bump that wouldnt go away- and i did EVERYTHING youre supposed to do to make sure it doesnt get infected. I went back for a downsize / to get checked out and SHE HERSELF told me that SHE pierced me with TOO BIG OF A BAR. She downsized me and ordered me another piece of jewelry that i wanted, then when i came back to get it changed in, it was still irritated a week later. Double checked the receipt turns out she ORDERED ME THE WRONG SIZE. I went back AGAIN and she changed it to the right size. 6mo later and its still irritated-- i was scared to go back, obviously, as it was being messed with way too much (which any good piercer would have warned me about). I went to a different piercer and they told me IMMEDIATELY afterlooking at it that i DONT EVEN HAVE the RIGHT SHAPE BELLY BUTTON for a naval piercing and any legit, knowledgeable piercer would have seen that right away and NOT done it to begin with. Now im going to have a scar. Im so upset and even more self conscious now.Edit: its not a completely separate buisness if you have her working there

Awesome place to get a tattoo. Lorelei is not only a great artist but an awesome communicator that makes sure youre comfortable and happy. She has done my entire half sleeve. Book with her if you can!

Tiffany does a fantastic job with piercings here. Im never going anywhere else. she is professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Her apprentice always greets customers with a big smile. in fact, everyone Ive seen at the front desk has always been fantastic. VERY LGTBQIA+ friendly.

I came here for a cover up tattoo. Sweetest people you’ll meet. Very clean tattoo parlor. I got tatted by Lorelei and she was also super funny and sweet. I have to go back to get color on the tattoo but I would definitely come back when I’m ready to get another one!

I got my first tattoo with Lorelei about a month ago. The shop is incredibly friendly and inclusive! Very professional, with a great welcoming vibe. It didnt take me long to book my second piece, again with Lorelei, which I just had done last week. Once again, Lorelei was an amazing artist and conversationalist - the tattoo process flew by. Artisanal Tattoo seems to have a awesome group of people that all make it a great environment - highly recommend!

I love the staff here! Everyone is so talented and down to earth. Definitely feels like a calming/welcoming chill environment to go for beautiful tattoos and perfectly placed piercings! This tattoo was done by a very good childhood friend of mines apprentice! She was awesome! Her name is Amanda! I cant wait to see how well she does in the future!

I try not to leave to many bad reviews but my sort of experiance here was just akward. I had walked in a couple months back inquiring about a tattoo I wanted to get done. And the people up front were just rude. I had wanted a specific tattoo done but they kept inisiting i had to change it,they ended up being the only place telling me i had to change it cause i consulted 4 other shops and it was fine. Idk if it was just like a skill issue but i just recently got my tats done elsewhere and they came out great. Idk i guess if u have a plan that isnt overly complicated and they tell u no go elese where. Mine was a simple tat they made seem like brain surgery. Im sure they people arnt horrible but they made me feel like i was being to demanding over nothing and it stuck with me.

I went in for a piercing with Tiffany and from the second I walked in I felt so comfortable and excited. Eury made me instantly feel at ease with her personality and humor and Tiffany was so thorough and professional while still making it a calming experience. She was fantastic at making sure I had the knowledge I needed to walk out confident. The whole experience was so great, I decided to also get a tattoo with Amanda. Amanda listened and cared about what I wanted and did an awesome job. I adore my new tattoo. It was honestly such a great time. I will 100% be going back for other tattoos and piercing.

Amazing artists in such a comfortable space. Invest been to several tattoo parlors, and, while Ive never felt unsafe in any of them, Ive never felt as safe as I do here.

This was my first time using this shop. My daughter, 2 nieces, and nephew have all used Artisanal Tattoo. Everyone in the shop were very friendly and great to work with. I talked with Lou in the shop to get started and set up an appointment with Ant. The design I went in with couldn’t be done because it was from another tattoo picture but with Ant’s suggestions, designs, and artistry, I couldn’t be more happier for what I decided with and the way it came out. I think it is better than what I originally went in with. Ant was a great communicator and nice and friendly to talk to while getting the work done. If you are looking for your 1st, 2nd like me, or how ever many tattoos you want, I highly recommend this shop for their professionalism, friendly manor and atmosphere, and artistry. You won’t be disappointed.

I randomly decided I needed a new tattoo, and a friend of mine recommended Ant at Artisanal! I messaged him on Instagram and he worked me with on a design right away! He is super friendly and professional and produced a solid piece! I saw one of his original designs on the “banger board” and decided I needed it ASAP! He let me come in the very next day, and even sized it up a little to fit the spot I wanted! He made sure I was comfortable and talked to me, making me laugh and have an enjoyable time through the whole tattoo! I cannot recommend Ant enough! I will definitely be back for more work soon!Yuri, the receptionist was also a complete doll! I had a great interaction with everyone that I met and would say this shop is definitely the place to go!

This is my favorite place to go! The owner, and staff are very amazing people who always make me feel comfortable and happy :) I always have the best experience with them, I already have 8 tattoos that I’ve done with them and they always do an amazing work! 100% recommend and if you’re a first timer definitely take it Ant, he’s very gentle and does amazing work, Leah (the owner) is Ana amazing artist as well that has done two of my tattoos and a 3rd one coming soon!

Even though my tattoo was minimal compared to most (quote with colored paw prints), Vega took the time to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the work he was going to do. I love this shop. This was my 3rd time having work done here - 2nd with Ant. The staff is friendly and communicative from the minute you walk in the door. Ant took the time to go over my design, show me how it would work best, and then we discussed colors. I couldn’t have been happier when I was done.

I originally made an appointment with Tiffany because I had an MRI coming up and needed a new tragus piece I could remove myself, which led to me coming back to help get my nose ring back in. I felt so comfortable that I decided to make an actual piercing appt with her.I came in this Saturday with a friend to get my flat pierced. Along with being super friendly and chatty with us, I have to say the sterilization/cleaning process was amazing. The actual piercing itself was probably one of the most comfortable experiences. The amount of knowledge she gave and I actually learned new things to do and not to do when she went over after care. I was expecting to have pain, swelling and such but honestly this has been a comfortable healing process so far, I forgot a couple of times I just got a new piercing! I thought the last piercer I went to was going to be my go to but Tiffany is definitely the best!My friend was also very impressed, in fact we both plan to be back soon to get piercings together!

Firstly, the shop is extremely clean and the front desk staff is helpful and responsive. My first time at the shop was with Ant, who clearly explained every step of the process and was overall just a genuinely nice guy to talk with. I went back a few weeks later for another and Ant again took his time making sure everything was to my liking. Highly recommend!

Very welcoming shop with down to earth people that are happy to have you come in and get work done. Lorelei was an excellent artist that knows what she’s doing, and does it with confidence and experience. Shop has a warm vibe, friendly, funny, very tidy and clean, and willing to work with whatever you need. I’m very appreciative they accommodated my walk-in on a day I just happened to have free time. I’d give Artisanal 10 stars if I could! I waited 19 years to get a second tattoo because I didn’t know where to go and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get what I really wanted. After my husband and a good friend got great ink at Artisanal, I booked an appointment. I am beyond thrilled with my new tattoos - yes tattoos! I was lucky enough to have Leah create my first fantastic piece, a colorful jellyfish, and the second it was done, I booked her again for a cat face. I love them - and her and the adorable receptionist - so much that I left a deposit and I’ll be back!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Beautiful studio, spotlessly clean, super fun happy place filled with awesome artists. Thank you, Artisanal!!!

I had a custom design done on my hand by Ant Ursetti, and as this is one of several custom and very personal pieces, I have to say Ant has created a beautiful piece of art with great personal meaning. His skill and technique is masterful and his creativity combined with my concept made the work my own and something I am very proud of. I highly recommend Ant and Artisanal Tattoo for the extremely friendly, professional, comfortable and clean environment.

Artisanal Tattoo is a fantastic, professional, and clean tattoo shop that I highly recommend to everyone. I have had the pleasure of being tattooed by Lou multiple times now. He did my first tattoo, as well as my largest, and I am extremely pleased with both. Lou is easy to talk to and made sure I was as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. He also touched up some of my tattoos, making them look sharp and fresh again. I love that Artisanal has private tattoo cubicles, but that there is clearly a camaraderie among the staff and artists. I have had nothing but positive experiences at Artisanal and will definitely revisit them for any future tattoos.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. After a ton of research I booked an appointment well in advance with Shades of Swift at Artisanal Tattoo and was welcomed by a friendly and professional receptionist. I felt really at ease given the current Covid situation as the shop is VERY clean and took many steps to ensure the safety of everyone in the shop.Not only did I get an absolutely amazing tattoo by Swift I also spend the day laughing and having great conversation in a safe space . 10/10 A+

Great place and service! I’m new to the area and gave this place a shot because of the reviews and I’m so happy! Joey did my earlobe and cartilage. Both of these piercings were the third of their kind. Joey took great time in spacing them out perfectly and made sure I liked the placement before doing anything, as well as explaining everything he did and giving aftercare advice and cleanup. The staff are very personable and the space is very clean and adheres to COVID standards. I’ll be coming again!

Had the best experience today at this shop. Went in as a walk-in with an idea, was greeted immediately by the owner, was politely educated about the possible cons of my tattoo idea.... and within a couple hours I left with a tattoo that was so far beyond my expectations! Leah had awesome ideas and added to what I wanted to make the tattoo beautiful. The shop is clean and very chill, located on the cutest little street! I just got my 1st tattoo here(4th tattoo I have) and cant believe the difference in this shop compared to others! The shop is clean, beautiful yet still has a very cool feel. Everyone there was friendly and very professional. I felt welcomed even though I may not be their average customer, they made me feel comfortable. I cant say enough about Lou who did my tattoo on the back of my neck. He is very easy to talk to and professional at the same time.I had a great experience here and highly recommend Artisanal to everyone!

We went here for my wife, getting a tattoo for a lost family member. The shop was fantastic, clean, and professional. Everyone at the shop was very professional, and Dominick did a great tattoo. Everyone there seems to enjoy working with one another, and the atmosphere was great. Will be returning for future tattoos.

I’ve been to Artisanal for 5 tattoos and joined my best friend for several of hers and I’ve absolutely adored every experience! The staff here is so welcoming and collaborative and do flawless work. I went here for my first tattoo after NJ started reopening business during the COVID pandemic. Dom was great helping me figure out what I wanted and drawing and awesome piece! All the artists are very nice and respectful, and made the whole process much more enjoyable than I expected having never done it before. I’m already thinking about the next one and will be going back to them for it.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’m planning to keep coming here indefinitely. I live 90 minutes away now & it’s totally worth the longer drive. Special shoutout to Lorelei, Ant, and Vega as they have all done some fantastic work for me, and to the entire Artisanal team for consistently having an upbeat, fun atmosphere that literally takes the pain out of being tattooed 😂

Been here before as a walk in with a friend without issue and they were pretty good, can’t really comment on the quality of the art as she got a tiny paw print. However I called to make an appointment to surprise my fiancé for his birthday with a tattoo and Hailey kept insisting on a consultation and a deposit even though I don’t know what he would want as it is a....surprise. I did inform her it would either be small or a touch up so nothing that would require hours. Still not helpful. I’m sure this place I great for anything super planned but I guess don’t go here if you’re trying to be spontaneous.

As someone else also posted in their review, I too wish I could be writing a review about a tattoo I received, but we never got that far. If there is one thing I hate, it is when people waste my time and that is EXACTLY what they did here.I should have known from the start I wasnt going to get anywhere. When I first emailed the shop about a possible modification to a current tattoo I already had, I sent them pictures and a detailed description of my idea/vision. The response I got was that what I wanted would probably not be possible and I should just get a large cover up with shading....the opposite of what I wanted. I was advised to email the artist directly to discuss further.I emailed the artist and it was a full 48 HOURS before I received a response. He didnt even acknowledge anything in my email, just said Hey can you come in tomorrow so we can discuss I replied right away that I would be there around 12:15 the next day. I show up at 12:15 and am told by the people working that hes not in yet, and they didnt know when he would be because he kind of just shows up when he feels like it EXCUSE ME WHAT? Someone there claimed to have contacted him, and said he was about 15 minutes away. I decided to wait it out....45 minutes later, he is still not there, so I got up and left. The girl at the front desk didnt even bat an eye as I walked out...OK you just lost a customer and $$$ and youre not going to say a word?I also should point out there was another girl waiting as well...she had a 12 noon appointment with the same artist to get tattooed....12:50 shes still waiting for him to show up with now sign of him. completely unprofessional.

Leah is the best! Everyone was so friendly and took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. This was my first time but it 1,000% won’t be my last. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quality and professional experience!!

First time visiting but they were very professional and courteous, everyone had on ppe; all COVID-19 procedures were enforced. But Im so happy with the results of my tattoo Lorelei did a phenomenal job!

Went from one Tattoo Artist to another but it wasnt a bad thing. I had a slight issue with one but the owner took over and she was great. Me and my mother love our tattoos and i hope that i can go back for my other planed ones as well.

Had two artists from here reply to my initial email inquiry, but then went ghost and never responded shortly after. its important to be professional in this business, for this reason id look elsewhere.Note: I liked this shops work prior, however being unprofessional is a huge turn off - just keeping it real here.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by getting a couples tattoo and since we are both Scorpions we decided to get 2 Scorpions that form a heart when our arms are together. We thought this may be a daughnting task, however not so for the exceptionally talented Joel Swift Springer. He made our tattoo exactly what we wanted - emotionally cute, yet Tattoo tough. He worked with us to make our experience as painless and as entertaining as possible with his witty sense of humor.We had an awesome time and left with the BEST TATTOOS EVER!LOOK no where else, this man is your Tattoo guy, if youre looking for superior quality with old school, black & grey ink -no color with him. And his Tattoos come out the best without any color- incredible detail.Go check him out.

********WONDEFUL 5 STAR SERVICE******** My fiancee wanted his first tattoo something simple and meaningful. We went here and his tattoo artist Chris was absolutely amazing! He walked him thru step by step and calmed any fears he may have had before. He gave him a cool squeezable stress ball for him during the process which he utilized and calmed him. Chris talked to him the whole time and my fiancee didnt even know it was finished because of how great Chris was!!! He got a juice box at the end which made it even more perfect!!! Chris gave him a kit with the ointment to use for follow up care and at home instructions. Highly recommended Chris we will be back!!!

I do NOT recommend Lorelei Dugan . I had got a back tattoo from her and it was crooked !! So I had to go back and fix it and she charged me FULL price with NO accommodation ! She even acted like there was nothing wrong with the tattoo !!! Don’t make the same mistake I did by going to her !! Tattoos are forever !

Chris was amazing! The tattoo came out great and he made it a really fun and easy experience! Plus he gave me a juice box so that warrants 5 stars by itself.

Place is awesome, Chris is awesome along with Jessie but sometimes in mind appear over budget but if you love tatto and getting it on body for purpose then money should no matter. Overall I love the place and specially Chris work for my tatto.

I wish I could review this place for a tattoo but we never got that far. This review is for the terrible customer service I experienced. I walked in to discuss a large piece I wanted to have done and was given an appointment for a consultation the following week. The artist was twenty minutes late but met with me briefly and asked me to email him some pictures of the area I wanted tattooed which I did that same day. After a week, with no acknowledgement via phone or email, I called the shop where a friendly lady took my name and number and email address and promised me they would get back to me that day. That was 2 weeks ago and I still havent heard back from them. I have since found another shop to patronize. An 8+ hour piece they let slip through their hands! If Artisinal didnt want to do the tattoo, they could have just said so and not wasted my time waiting for a follow up that was never going to happen...

Went in to speak with an artist he was busy which is fine so I spoke to someone at the front desk, got a reference picture out to them to show the artist, no answer back ever after that at all. Spoke to them again artist was unable to speak to me, again and was never contacted even to this day. So basically would not recommend anyone to this place because you might get ignored which is obviously very unprofessional.

I didnt have a good feeling when I went inside. Its very small. They have several artists but they all have specialties and if youre a novice, you dont know who to go to. They should all do the same stuff.

Everyone here is great. Chris walked me through different options for my idea and did an amazing job. I cant wait to figure out what my next piece is going to be.

I was greeted by a not so friendly girl .ok no biggie then she says you do understand there s a 100 dollar deposit ok Im thinking what does she think I cant afford that. Anyways it wasnt a good vibe I walked out. it sucks cuz I had work done by one of the artists when you were by the school. I wont go back.
