Really loved this place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The place is also very clean and good. I got a heart on one of my fingers and a butterfly design on the side of my forearms. It was my first time getting tattooed. Sam did my tattoos. He was really good nd quick. It costed me 120 dollars for both. Would definitely come here again.

Sam was an absolute sweetheart. My daughter got her first tattoo and he was very gentle and gave her exactly what she asked for. When she left she was so happy and in love with her fresh new ink..

Went in for a walk in. Staff was BEYOND nice and the shop was super clean. They also take cards which is really convenient. Sam did my tattoo and I had an awesome time talking tohim! It looks fantastic and I’ll be coming back for more!

Walked in around open on Saturday with a friend. We were the first ones there so there wasn’t a wait. Sam checked us in and did my friend’s tattoo. Ray did mine. They were both professional, friendly, made great conversation, and most importantly did an amazing job! We love our tattoos.The shop is on the smaller side but it’s clean and comfortable. Ray was extremely flexible with modifying the stencil so it was perfectly what I was looking for.We were there for around three hours including checking in and stencilling and everything. They’re pretty large tattoos (wrap around our thighs) as well.I would definitely recommend walking in!

Im sure these guys would do okay with trace jobs but DO NOT go in if you want any more than that. I went in wanting a beautiful image that was an interpretation of A Starry Night by Van Gogh and I ended up with a chicken scratch, god awful tattoo that a 5 year old could have done. And at the top I had the Big Dipper and the lines connecting it arent even straight.

The design and colour combination which I wanted were bang on!! The entire process was smooth and Ramon graciously accomodated my appointment despite his busy schedule. Really appreciate it!! would definitely recommend empire tattoo!!!

Great experience. My fiancé and I went and Flacco did his piece. It was clean, everyone is professional and the tattoos, both by Flaco and what I saw from other artists, were incredible! If you’re looking for true art to be put on your body, this is the place to go

My roommate and i got a walk in appointment pretty quickly. everyone working there was lovely and sam did an amazing job with our tattoos, we would definitely come back!

It was a nice shop, artist really didnt speak much until the end. I like the fact that they accepted walk-in clients. After getting over the initial excitement of getting tattoos, I noticed that the lines werent as clean as they couldve been and what seemed like a rushed job - for the price. Ultimately I did still tip my usual 20% and thanked the artist. This place was recommended by a co-worker but I dont think I can do the same. Insert sad face.

First time in Boston, visiting for the weekend and wanted to get a tattoo. The staff was friendly from the beginning, my best friend and I were able to come in and get a small piece done. Ray was my Artist, he was very patient and did a great job! I definitely recommend this place.

Fake artist! Just tracing pictures found online. Looked up a bunch of images on Google. Never drew a thing other than little marks here and there on the Google images he kept searching. Little to NO communication the whole time and didnt really listen at all to what was wanted. At the end didnt get anything done and I want my 200 bucks back!!!! Said he would keep in touch to plan a better piece, never heard anything from them. Terrible and a complete waste of time and money!!

My daughter had her first tattoo with Nelson and this was an absolute fantastic experience. Her artist was incredibly talented and brought the vision of hers to a full reality and fulfilled a sentimental dream tattoo that is just so detailed and beautiful. I will be going back and definitely recommend if you want a high quality tattoo done then Nelson is the artist to go to. Thank you for a memory she will cherish forever.

Ramon did my finger tattoos and Ben did my mothers moon and they both did amazing, not only do the tattoos look insane but they were both such sweet people, the conversation, the care they put in, everything, i dont think i couldve asked for a better experience whatsoever

My best friend and I got matching tattoos here. I’m really underwhelmed with my work. The difference between my tattoo and my best friends identical tattoo is extremely obvious. My line work is incredibly poor (some double lines where a single line is suppose to be, and different line width) , and it was really disheartening to pay $200 for a very simple line drawing of an eye and a moon. I’m so incredibly grateful I have a tattoo artist back home that can touch this up.

Spent a decent amount of money on a large tattoo, tipped very well and couldn’t even get scheduled in for a touch up a few weeks later, kept on getting the run around from Joe, I was finally told I can get a spot if I wanted more extensive continued work done.From the beginning I had no direct line of communication with my artist and was forced to deal with his extremely unorganized, rude, unprofessional, assistant/apprentice Joe. Overall it was a decent tattoo but a horrible experience, poorly run business that has no concept of customer service, go somewhere else.

They were very helpful and able to do my walk in tattoo! Very pleasant environment and the process with quick, smooth and easy! Can’t wait to get more

Went there today for a very important tattoo with my sister, niece, and nephew. My mom passed this past Sunday so feelings are very raw and new .We wanted my moms signature that actually is a flower that she did not a name. We gave him the writing sample and expressed how important that it was to match. He took the time to go over every aspect of what would work best what could happen and what would be the best way to do what we wanted. We all got the same thing in different spots and they all look like she took a pen and drew it herself. Im so happy with this experience and will definitely be back to see him in the future. Thank you for helping our healing process.

These guys and gals are incredible. The space is professional and comfortable, with rooms for each artist and their customer. My artist was very patient with me, and the owner was personable. They booked me immediately and I couldnt have asked for better or more professional work.

One of my favorite tattoo shops in MA. Looking for some true custom art, look for Coralynn Rowell. She is creative, customer focused, and a true artist. The shop itself is clean, with a great reception area and service. Ive seen them take all walk-ins no matter how insane the ask is, and someone is always there to help. I also appreciate how you can put gratuity on your credit card since Ive been places that do not offer that feature. Highly recommend for a good tattoo experience. The artists are all professional with a lot of experience and the front desk is run very efficiently with friendly, effective customer service.

Staff was very nice ! I had Ray as my artist and he was patient and also quick. He talked to me through my first two tattoos and made the experience awesome! The location is a little odd (in the middle of almost nowhere) but its worth it!

Neil England is one of the best artists globally. I cant recommended him enough. Ive had a lot of work done by him and generally I give him an idea and let him run with it because I trust his expertise to make it look awesome. He hasnt let me down in 10+ years.

Very comfortable first tattoo experience :) everyone is super friendly. Corii made a really special custom piece for me and I couldnt be happier with it. Would recommend to anyone looking for small pieces or larger projects. Will definitely be coming back :)

My artist, coralynn, was fast and friendly and entertaining. My tattoo ended up exactly as I wanted it and she was very thorough with care instructions and took a photo of it for her snapchat. Very fun experience, I was a walk in and was out within about 45 minutes.

Came in out of town on business. Squeezed me in last minute, corresponded by email to sketch my design same day, super attentive front desk, majorly talented apprentice, and very reasonably priced. Could not have had a better experience. PERFECT TATTOO JOINT and Im covered in them. Will def come back. :)

I went here to get a second tattoo, just script done on my side. I was hoping it would turn out amazing.The tattoo artist was very friendly and seemed like he knew what he was doing. When I got home I was able to see that my script was pretty messed up. Some of the letters were crooked, the back end of my tattoo was not aligned with the front. I was very upset considered getting the tattoo removed completely. I did raise my complaint to Empire, and the woman I spoke with was very rude on the phone. She told me to just come in and hed fix it, I was hesitant and asked if he could show me how it would look prior to fixing it and she said no, to just come in and hed fix the tattoo. When I did come in I asked him to take a look to see what he could do to fix the tattoo. There was more than one aspect of the tattoo that was messed up but he only focused on one of the letters, so I said Id have to think about it and come back. I just ended up going somewhere else that could fix it for me because I just couldnt trust him to do a good job the second time around.

Tis an Empire--they have three locations that I know of. Ive had a shockingly hard time finding a place to help me finish my hand tattoo, not because of the words but because a lot of places just wont. But they communicated with me rapidly and had me in the next day. They take walk-ins too!

I found this shop a couple of years ago and Ive been seeing Neil England for cover-up work. His rate has gone up a bit but his work is phenomenal and you wont find another artist who can do what he does! Great atmosphere and easy location to get to!

Incredibly customer friendly. Artists are flexible with scheduling. Ive been getting tattoos for six years from different shops all over the Boston area. Empire is the shop, I want to get all of my work done from now on.

Maybe the tattoo artist is no longer there but i had a horrible experience. Said they couldnt do a tattoo smaller than a quarter dollar. And they filled in my tattoo with the same needle she outlined with. I didnt know any better hope you do or this post helps. Not only was it extremely painful, it looks so cheap.

The guy at the front desk at Empire Tatoo was very helpful when it came to figuring out what i was trying to accomplish and very knowledgeable about all the different artist that worked their and what i needed to do in order to have a successful and great experience on my future visit at Empire. I appreciated the professional work ethics and looking forward to going back.

Im sure they would do a great job with anything thats like a trace job but DO NOT go in if you want anything more than that. I wanted to get this beautiful image of an interpretation of A Stary Night by Van Gogh and I asked my artist if they would be able to do it ad they said yes. Jon was awesome! He talked my girlfirend throigh her first tattoo and was very understanding. He did an excellent job on both my tattoo and hers. Next time im in boston i will definitely visit

Dope place with fun people. Have gotten all of my tattoos here for years with Moge. Highly recommend. Moge is an inspired artist who takes pride in his work, and is just a cool guy to talk to. Extremely satisfied with all of my tattoos.

I’ve been seeing Neil here for over a year for a complete rework of my back piece and sleeve. I brought both my son and nephew to him for their first tattoo and he did an amazing job. I just wouldn’t trust anyone else.

The receptionists (maybe artists, we dont know because they werent very welcoming) didnt look up from their phones even though I waited patiently for about 10 minutes directly in front of them. They continued a side conversation and refused to make eye contact or welcome us. This poor customer service is a shame for a local business and I will not return.

Neil England is a all around incredible, award winning artist, who did a incredible cover/ fix on a hack tat that was a embarrassment on my arm... half way done and its ALREADY 10x better looking! Pretty grateful!

Good studio. I wouldnt get a tattoo by Ramon though. Theres a reason why he is always available. Im in the process of getting his tattoo removed. Very disappointed with tattoo the shading came out so bad im getting the whole tattoo lightened so I can get it covered up.

Came here to get a tattoo with Joe and had a great time! Besides absolutely loving my piece, the shops relaxed and everyone is super chill and fun.

I dont like how they do tattoos I went in there to get a name on me and I can bearly read it I paid 80 dollars to not be able to read it I regret going there for a tattoo and I will never go there ever again for anything else they are over priced and did absolutely horrible on my tattoo

A really chill tattoo studio full of great art and artists. Reilly covered my knuckles and I couldnt be more pleased with the results, especially since my options were limited by the previous tattoo.

I love this place. Im pretty sure Im gonna get most, if not all, of my future tattoos here. The artists and people here are hilarious (I am always laughing when Im here) and theyre all super chill.
