I had a great experience at PSTC! Felice gave me such a good tattoo, and all of the other artists i spoke to were so nice. The space is very cute, super clean and welcoming. I will definitely be returning!!

This place was amazing! Everyone was super friendly and the vibes were GREAT! The shop itself is so cute and inviting, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. I got a tattoo with Gabrielle, who was so wonderful and kind! They were super attentive to my needs and upfront about every step of the process. I really appreciated the attention to cleanliness and keeping me in the loop. My design is perfect and Gabrielle was a rockstar in creating a piece that I love so much. I love my new tattoo!! Will definitely be coming back here whenever I am in Boston and looking to get a tattoo.

I had a great experience at PSTC! I got my first tattoo here with Logan. They did a great job on designing my tattoo and making sure I was happy with it. They also made sure I was feeling alright during the process of getting it. I felt very comfortable being tattooed here! Awesome first tattoo experience and the vibes of the shop are amazing :)

I absolutely adored my experience here! Gabrielle was kind, professional, and an absolute dream to work with! They went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable, fed, and hydrated AND they were so much fun to talk to! The shop is so incredibly adorable with the pink decor as well as being very clean and comfortable. I was also lucky to have a little conversation with the front desk staff and Felice and they were also super sweet and made me feel so welcome! I will absolutely be coming back to Gabrielle in the future and recommending Pearl St to all of my friends.

Definitely one of my most favorite experiences with getting a tattoo (reworking) ever! It was my first time getting a reworking. Arran has great ideas on how to incorporate elements I wanted into one of my old tats and was very open to my thoughts on them. I’m deaf and communicate by ASL and he was very accommodating of my communication access needs; there was no communication barrier and it was so easy to converse with him by text. I felt very safe in the space as well which helped me relax.I got SO MANY compliments on my new (old) tattoo! I think I found the perfect place I’ll go back to for my later tattoos. :)

Fantastic experience. Pearl St. is a warm and welcoming tattoo studio. The staff is friendly and did everything to make me feel comfortable. I received a tattoo from this salon back in July. The experience was great, I felt comfortable in both being in the salon generally and voicing changes Id like made to the tattoo before it went on. The artists are all super talented but also the salon is inclusive and I was reassured in knowing my money was going to a business that supported the same values I do!

This is an amazing tattoo parlor. Everyone was upbeat, the vibe there is immaculate and positive. It was my first tattoo and Felice not only designed the cutest ghost- but was upfront about the entire process and willing to take breaks as needed for me- I could not have been in a more comfortable environment. They went above and beyond, and I cant wait to come back and get more from them!Also, kudos to an LGBTQ friendly shop that made me feel right at home. I went here to get a very special tattoo that is near and dear to my heart. The amount of care put into the process was nothing short of amazing, and every single person who works here is so beyond kind. The talent is off the charts, and even my grandmother who doesn’t like tattoos loves this one (WHICH SAYS A LOT, LOL)! Arran was the one who tattooed me, and was great about explaining the process. I can’t wait to get another tattoo done here.

Pearl Street Tattoo Club is awesome, plain and simple. I was getting my third tattoo - a full sleeve - after a decade hiatus (two other tattoos on my back). My artist, Arran, was charming and accommodating and just a beautiful person. Always offered breaks, water, snacks. Even checked to make sure the music was okay. In fact, everyone I saw or listened to for my full day session made me feel like this was more of a hang out than a business. The ambiance is stellar and fun, especially the googly eyes. I don’t think you could do better than this place - never have I felt so welcome at a venue on my first visit. Thank you Arran and Co for the experience, and I can’t wait to be back!

Just got an AMAZING tattoo from Arran! Exactly what I was hoping for. It had been a very long time since I got tattooed so I was a little nervous but the entire experience was excellent. Friendly, patient, welcoming. Will go back.

Emailed shop looking for details on a tattoo. I received a booking form where I started to communicate with Sarah about the tattoo I wanted. She thought my design was too detailed for my wrist and was going to draw it up herself, never heard from her again, no reply to my email. Left me hanging, not cool.

I had an amazing tattoo experience here. Im quite particular about everything, especially when it comes to choosing a tattoo artist. After seeing Felices work on Instagram, I knew they would be perfect artist to do the Snoopy tattoo I was looking to get. From start to finish, Felice was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole process enjoyable. Most importantly, I absolutely love my tattoo!

I got my first-ever tattoo here about six months ago from Sarah Rose and just went back for my second! Its such a cool shop. Everyone is so kind and affirming here and Sarah Rose was a great choice for my first tattoo. She put me at ease and answered all my questions, even if they were probably dumb. Im really happy with my tattoos and would recommend PSTC to anyone.

I had a full day with Felice who was an absolute pleasure to talk to and I’m usually super shy around new people. I cannot say enough how much I love PSTC! I’ve had 3 tattoos done here and each experience has been seriously top notch. Sarah and Jay (who is their apprentice) have both done tattoos for me and they were both endlessly kind, friendly, and MEGA talented. Lily who works the front desk is really helpful and friendly- I enjoyed chatting with her while I waited. This is the best tattoo shop around. The shop is comfortable and inclusive of all genders, races, and body types. Each tattoo artist has a really unique individual style and they are all so talented and professional. The vibes are immaculate and its really a great experience every time I go. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of working with Arran for our matching pizza tattoos. From the tattoo request through the post-tattoo follow up, we had a very smooth experience. Arran responded promptly to the request and it was a breeze to schedule an appointment. On tattoo day he had a couple different designs for us to choose from (we went with both!) and in no time had everything ready to go. We went with color tattoos. I have darker skin and have a lot of color tattoos done by my original artist, but I have always had an incredibly difficult time finding someone else who does *good* color work. My girlfriend is very very very fair skinned, and as I mentioned I am a lot more melatonin-rich. Arran did an incredible job at making the colors in *both* tattoos pop. They came out so bright and clean. Im happy to have found someone else who does beautiful color work on brown skin. Overall we had a great experience, we will definitely be coming back!

I received my first ever tattoo from Sara yesterday. Capricia was at the front and I really appreciated their transparent communication, super sweet vibes, and vibrant smiles. We had a lot of laughs and all my worries about tattooing on dark skin were quickly and easily soothed. Sara obviously has many years of experience and it showed in her chill demeanor and professional service. She made sure I was happy with everything from placement to design before sitting me down. She was very sanitary and clean while explaining to me why she was taking certain steps. She verbalized the whole aftercare process even though that info is on the website!I dont think I could have had a better first experience. Currently spending 80% of my time staring at my new tattoo!!

Pearl Street Tattoo Club is hands down one of the best tattoo shops in Massachusetts. The artists are kind, funny and talented. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. Arran took an idea for a tattoo that I had been kicking around for a few years and made it into a piece of art that I could never dream of. I’m so enamored with my tattoo and the intricate detail in it that I catch myself checking it out multiple times a day. I honestly never thought I would have such a rad work of art on my person. I’m so glad I found the shop and hope to work with the artists for years to come.

I had a wonderful time getting tattooed at Pearl Street! I was tattooed by Jay. The shop is bright and clean, and all of the staff are super welcoming. They clearly take safety seriously when tattooing, and they create beautiful and creative tattoo designs. They are very respectful of their clients and create a safe and fun space to be tattooed.

Pearl Street Tattoo Club is a fantastic place to get tattooed. The vibe of the whole shop is positive and inclusive. It felt safe as a queer nonbinary person. Walking in I was greeted by Capricia the wonderful counter person. She helped me complete the requirements before I headed back to get my tattoo with Jay. Jay was so kind and gave me breaks as I needed them. He designed my tattoo themself and it is a glorious piece. Absolutely love it and how it turned out. The color is so saturated and vibrant. I recently went in and had my very FIRST tattoo done by Arran. I was beyond nervous when I went in but everyone in the shop guaranteed me that everything would be fine, they were all super nice and made me feel comfortable. Arran himself was amazing, very friendly/understanding and professional. The shop itself is beautiful and very clean. 1000% recommend this specific tattoo shop. I LOVEEEEEE MY TATTOO and I will for sure be returning for more :)

This is the coolest club that youll definitely want to be part of.Pearl Street Tattoo is WAY bigger than it seems, tucked into a relatively quiet part of Somerville, and its awesome. I got a piece from Sarah Roses flash and she was the best. Yes of course she has an amazing, unique style and approach to tattooing, her work speaks for itself, but she, and the whole studio, were welcoming, kind, funny, and energetic.A+++ experience absolutely would recommend.

I never write reviews online for anything, but I had such an incredibly positive experience with PSTC that it warrants a review. I got my first tattoo here, with Sarah, and I am unbelievably happy with the entire experience. I felt very comfortable and welcome in the space, considering my anxiety about getting my first tattoo, and Sarah did a great job of setting expectations and making sure I was doing alright throughout the appointment. Everyone here contributed to making the space feel chill, conversational, and inviting. My tattoo came out so beautiful and Ive been getting so many compliments on it, even just one day later. Literally the best place in Greater Boston. The staff is LOVELY and warm and it feels like a very safe friendly environment. If you’re new to tattoos, I’d go here in an instant cause this is what all tattoo experiences should be!

I got a tattoo from Jay at Pearl Street a few weeks ago; the first sessions work has now essentially healed up and looks wonderful. Not only do I love the artwork, but I had a great experience with the sitting itself. There was ample privacy, music to listen to, a great vibe between employees that contributed to the overall positive atmosphere, and Jay was great to sit for. Getting a tattoo hurts, but Jay made the experience as easy and comfortable as possible (while still skillfully sticking needles in me). My tattoo is a large animal-subject thigh piece; Id recommend both the shop and Jay!

Such an amazing shop! All the staff are so nice and compassionate, prioritizing client comfort. And there are flamingos in the bathroom!! So happy with my fish (by Arran), and very excited to go back 🥰

Contacted my artist through their contact form, and through a series of appointments Felice took my bizarre abstract paragraph of notes and turned it into a masterpiece I am proud to have on my shoulder.

Jay was open to adjustments on his original design and I felt really good about the end result. Jay was very communicative and considerate through the whole process. As a disabled customer, I really appreciate that Jay and the rest of PSTC are still requiring masks. They are one of the few tattoo shops in the area that still do. This creates a safe and inclusive environment to work with their wonderfully talented artists :)

I have gotten three tattoos from Sarah at Pearl Street in the last two months and have had a wonderful experience! The studio is very clean and welcoming, and Sarah is great — one of my tattoos was picked from her flash, one is a slightly changed flash design, and one is an original design I brought to her.She did a wonderful job with all three, and was very careful with placement and making sure we were both happy with the way it looked on my anatomy. None of my tattoos took very long, but Sarah also told me everything she was doing as she went along so I knew where we were in the process and how long it would take, and also checked in to see if I was doing OK/needed a break.Lily at the front desk and everyone else working in the shop was also lovely and friendly. Highly recomend!

Before this tattoo, I had 5 tattoos done at two separate shops. For my 6th tattoo (the most meaningful one) I decided to go to Pearl Street Tattoo because my sister had just gotten a piece done by Sarah Rose and raved about Sarah & Pearl Street Tattoo.This is by far the most welcoming tattoo shop I have ever been to! Of course, there are a lot of nerves that come with the possibility of pain and the atmosphere and employees here made me feel completely at ease.Now, onto Sarah Rose! She was so friendly and even excited about my tattoo, just as excited as I was! She made sure to ask how I was doing and if I ate that day . That may seem like a small gesture but none of the other tattoo artists I have gone to have ever asked how I was doing throughout the appointment.The entire staff is kind, talented and extremely welcoming. Sarah, thank you for doing this tattoo for me and I really enjoyed talking about our dads together!I cannot recommend Pearl Street Tattoo enough!

I am forever grateful in finding Pearl Street Tattoo Club. My friends suggested Jayde and when her bookings were open, I hopped onto it. Jayde was thoughtful, welcoming, and kind. She really took note of what I wanted in my tattoo and perfectly captured my Caribbean heritage and Black culture. She made sure throughout the session that I was okay, letting me know when she was starting again, and kept a conversation going. Thats something I havent experience with a tattoo artist and it made the result even better.

As the stigma of tattoos has dissolved over the past 2 decades, and tattoo parlors are as abundant as a Dunks in Boston, it would be easy to open a new shop on any corner with confidence that clients will come. This was not the case with Pearl Street Tattoo. From their website to the inclusive and welcoming auro which is evident from the artists down to the smallest decor, Pearl Street was opened with intent - the intent of inclusion for ALL, which is something I, as a woman, have never encountered in an world traditionally reserved for the hardened “macho” man. Aisha and Arran have done something so incredible and so appreciated by the plethora of us who don’t fit that stereotype, yet hold the stories we wear on our bodies for life as something so sacred that even the most beautiful piece can be tarnished by the feeling of not being welcome upon walking into the shop. Jayde is an expert at her craft! And the vibe she portrays through her conversation, music, and all around dopeness made this experience a moment I’ll never forget, beyond the incredible visual representation of the story I’ll now wear for life. Thank you, Pearl Street, the tattoo world needs you!

Let me start by saying that the staff at this place is amazing. Everyone is extremely respectful, nice, and friendly. I also felt very safe and seen as a queer woman and the space itself was really clean. However...My tattoo was done by Sarah and I wanted some linework, I loved the design she drew and was so excited when she put the stencil on my arm. Well, it is definitely not what I expected when the tattoo healed. I followed the aftercare perfectly and it is my fourth tattoo, so I know that the reason the lines blew up the way they did - isnt me. There is definitely scar tissue (the tattoo is definitely raised) and the lines aren’t clean at all (you can see it on the picture). I am really sad about it because this is obviously on my body for the rest of my life and I had people comment on how not good it looks compared to my other tattoos.

PSTC is awesome I love the vibe, the decor, the friendly and inclusive artists. Super minority friendly and safe space. Everyone is so talented but all have their styles. I highly recommend this spot and cant wait to get more tattoos here!

My experience was nothing short of excellent.I got a fine line tattoo of hydrangeas on my arm, done by Jayde, & I’ve been on a high ever since - I can’t stop staring at it, I love it so much.It was my first time adding color to a tattoo & it was the longest session I’ve had. She went above & beyond expectations, giving me *exactly* what I imagined. I was super comfortable the entire time & I’m so thankful for that.

My experience at pearl street tattoo was the most positive experience i have had getting tattooed! some shops can be intimidating, but walking in i immediately felt safe & comfortable— the receptionist was very sweet and friendly. jay was my artist, and they kindly encouraged me to speak up to make sure the size and position of the tattoo was exactly the way i wanted, and patiently made any adjustments i asked for. throughout my appointment he answered any questions i had, explained each step of the process, and made me feel that not only was the quality of the tattoo important but so was the connection with his client. if anyone asks me where to get a high quality tattoo this is the place! i’m already looking forward to booking my next appointment :)

Love love love Pearl Street Tattoo Club! I got my second and third tattoos here, and had amazing experience both times. My second tattoo was a seaweed with Sarah (queen of seaweed) and she gave great advice about placement on my arm. After a virtual consultation, Jayde drew a wonderful sword and flower design for my third tattoo. We tried multiple placements before deciding on a spot above my elbow. I didnt feel rushed or pressured at all, and although we went with the first placement I was happy we tried other places to see how they would look. Love both of the tattoos I got here!Highly recommend this shop to anyone who asks. There may be a bit of a wait to book with an artist, but it is 100% worth it :)

I did not get a tattoo at Pearl street but I was in need of tattoo related help and they stepped up and kindly got me all situated. I just had a pretty large piece done at another shop on my back that was 40+ minutes from home. The derma shield barrier got water under it and parts of the new tattoo became exposed, dry, painful, and out of my reach. I called to ask if they would be willing to help, and they didn’t even hesitate. Arran helped me remove the existing shield, get things cleaned up, then reapply a new piece.It was so kind of them especially since I hadn’t even gotten my work done there.Parking was easy and all the staff was super friendly. Definitely check them out!

I cannot recommend Pearl Street Tattoo enough! The space and artists are warm, welcoming, professional and fun. Sarah gave me a gorgeous etching tattoo and a sweet little seaweed design. Her artistic talent and attention to detail blew me away, she was easy to talk to, she listened to what I wanted. She was so wonderful to work with. Not my first tattoo with Arran, but my first tattoo with Arran at this shop, and it was a wonderful experience! The space is bright and clean, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and kind. I had a full day session and I cannot recommend Arran enough - his work is vibrant and gorgeous, the application was smooth, and he took excellent care to check in (and end the session a little early when I needed to stop - completely without judgement or issue, making my time there feel genuinely safe and respectful).A fantastic environment with amazing people that I look forward to returning to!

Visited on the grand opening day, such a beautiful and clean shop with incredibly kind and welcoming staff. The artists there are extremely talented and also have an apprentice whose work is really something to look forward to. I have been tattooed by Arran before and he is awesome in both his skill/art as well as his non-judgmental and kind personality. I would go here before any other shop in the area. Pakistani woman owned as well, this shop is also a great place for minorities. 11/10

Pearl Street is definitely my favorite shop that I have ever been tattooed in. It is so welcoming inside; not your typical shop atmosphere which can be intimidating. Sara was my artist and she was professional, kind, and extremely talented. The other artists in the shop, as well as the co-owner who appears to manage the shop, were all SO very friendly. I will definitely be back!

If youre considering a tattoo RUN dont walk to Pearl Street! Super queer/femme friendly environment, and amazing experience for a tattoo newbie. Arran did my tattoo, my first large/color piece and I cannot wait to go back again. his demeanor was welcoming and friendly and was extremely considerate of my experience. He consistently checked in to make sure I was doing okay, offered water and snacks throughout and was more than happy for me to get up and walk around whenever I needed. Not to mention the INCREDIBLE art that is now on my body. I could not be any happier with my tattoo, Arran, and this shop as a whole. Arran clearly listened to what my vision was and executed it in his style perfectly.

I’ve been here twice with great experiences both times - not only from my artist Sarah but everyone in the shop. They all do a great job making you feel welcome and respected and it’s just a fun place to be while also getting ink stabbed in your skin. After being here twice and also recommending it to friends and family, it’s great to have a place like this that maintains high standards for everything from sanitation & tattoo safety, to COVID-19 safety, to emotional/social & physical well being of clients and staff.

This was my first tattoo since the pandemic and also my first full-day tattoo, and I don’t know if I could have had a better experience. I am painfully shy in new environments, but everyone was so cool to talk to, very inclusive + informative, and insanely talented!! Also, their covid policies made me feel really safe. Arran worked some swampy resident evil imagery ideas into the coolest design, and it was so fun to watch him gorgeously execute the colors. I was 100% the biggest loser in the shop, 10 stars out of 5 😌

Ive had 2 tattoos done here and looking forward to more. This is THE PLACE in the Boston area to go for tattoos. Great and inclusive vibe, it is such a (hidden?) gem. Every single staff member is great. A no judgement tattoo shop that we all look for. So I have gotten two tattoos from Arran now. One get what you get and we just started a full leg sleeve. I have a good chunk of tattoos and have worked with many artists over the years. Arran is by far the best and my favorite. He is super nice, and beyond talented. His artistry is amazing and unique. His tattoo skill is also amazing. He works very quickly and cleanly which was super impressive. All the artists in the shop are crazy talented and kind. I am a bit of a weirdo and awkward but, I felt welcomed and at ease here. I would get a tattoo from any artist in the shop honestly. Arran is my fave though! Get a tattoo here you won’t regret it!!!!

I loved my experience at Pearl Street Tattoo Club! I got my tattoo done by Jay- it was my first tattoo and they were super accommodating of how nervous I was. We even added a bit more to the design I originally sent them with some nice shading, and I had a great convo with them while I was getting tattooed!

PSTC is awesome! Got my first tattoo here back in November, and Jayde (and really everyone!) did a fantastic job at making me feel comfortable and safe here. Plus the tattoo turned out amazing, Jayde really works fast! Quick, barely painful, and really fun process. I definitely plan on coming back.

I went here opening day and got a tattoo by Sarah (Jellyfish). It’s beautiful. Sarah was super personable and funny. Everyone is very professional but also down to earth and kind. The shop is extremely inclusive so everyone feels comfortable here. The physical shop is BEAUTIFUL too, they did an amazing job building and decorating. Can’t wait to go back! (Photo is a very fresh tattoo, at the time of writing this it’s 4 days and healing beautifully) .Update:Ive since gone back and had a tattoo with Arran (Hades and Persephone) which turned out stunning. It was the longest session Ive ever had to sit for but Arran made it comfortable with breaks and numbing spray and constantly checking in to make sure I was doing good. The vibe in that shop is so chill and fun, I really cant recommend it enough. The entire crew is welcoming, fun, and inclusive. This is like no shop Ive ever been too. Its safe.Another update: Ive now gotten tattoos by all artists in the shop (Jellyfish is Sarah, Hades/Persephone is Arran, Psyduck is Jay, and the Primrose flowers are Jayde). Theyve all done a beautiful job and you can see they all have their own artistic style. Every person who works there is lovely and kind, theres really no better shop.

PSTC is the best! I had an old tattoo that I absolutely hated and went to Arran to have it covered and he did an amazing job. They all of a great job at making you feel welcome and comfortable. Tattoos can be intimidating but I had 0 hesitation from the start. If you’re looking for a new tattoo or your first, I can’t recommend PSTC enough for the high quality work and the environment.

I’ve been looking for a shop like this for 20 years! I’d stopped getting tattoos because I hated shop culture, but PSTC has delivered where every other shop failed. It is a bright, welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. The artists are all super talented and, while I’ve only had work done by Arran and Sarah, everyone’s work is amazing. I’m on tattoo #6 with this shop and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

I had two amazing appointments so far with Arran and Jay. I felt like I could relax walking into PSTC which isn’t something I feel in other shops.And my recent appointment with Jay was amazing experience. Offering breaks and snacks and checking in. I loved how the shop works together providing feed back to one another regarding placement ( thank you jadeFor being another set of eyes!) I recommend everyone to check out PTSC. I’ve been following PSTC since before they opened and today I went for the first time and got my 10th tattoo there. The atmosphere they created made it THE MOST comfortable I have ever felt in a tattoo shop. All the staff are so friendly, professional, and just fun to be around. The talent of their artists (apprentice included!) is incredible. I already have more appointments booked for the future!

I also loved how she took my simple reference photo and designed a masterpiece. Finally, I appreciate Jayde taking the time to explain the after care instructions and patiently answering all my questions. I’ve gotten two tattoos from PSTC (one from Sarah Rose and one from Jayde) and had an amazing experience both times. From the second you walk through the door you are met with an amazing and very professional crew. They take COVID protocols very seriously so it is great to see they value the health and well-being of their staff and clients! Sarah and Jayde went above and beyond with customizing my pieces (Sarah making a piece of flash resemble my cat’s fur pattern and Jayde hand-drawing some fruit right onto my arm). I truly cannot recommend a place more and can’t wait to come back.

I love this little shop! I just got my second piece done there with Arran, and previously I had gotten something else from apprentice Jay (who is already freakin amazing at what they do). And even though I have yet to be tattooed by Sarah Rose and Jayde, theyre always so sweet and fun and encouraging throughout the process. Arran and Jay were both really good at checking in during the tattoo and clear about what we were doing and in which order. I was really comfortable talking through the placement and repositioning of the pieces I got, and feel really strongly that theyre here to make their art something you love forever so they were very lovely and helpful in that stage. Its a real cute place to be aesthetically as well, which is just a bonus! Clean and cute and fun. A zillion stars!

A new and incredibly unique tattoo shop dropped on the corner of Pearl and Cross St. PSTC is gorgeous and welcoming! Tattoo culture is historically pretty bro-ey and intimidating but no need to worry about gatekeepers here. Come get some neotrad or other styles, Ive got several amazing tats from these tattooers and looking forward to more. Also there is some 2 hour parking around which is nice, plus convenient bus stops, as well as the future Green Line. 👍🏽

Arran has granted me 3 beautiful pieces of art over the years and I was so excited to hear that he and his partner were opening their own shop. Arran is nothing but professional and is absolutely fantastic to work with. Though he tattooed me at a different location, I cannot imagine that he would allow his shop to fall below his own standards and I cannot wait to be back in town sometime to get another beautiful tattoo from Arran or another member of his rad team.This shop makes a point to bring inclusivity to tattooing and I wish that more tattoo shops would take a page from their book. I never felt uncomfortable around Arran and was able to freely discuss my opinions and thoughts on the tattoo designs. Arran also touched up one of my older tattoos from him for free when I was getting an unrelated tattoo and that is so very much appreciated!
