Carbon Ink Tattoo

First time here but wow what an experience. Emilio did an amazing job and was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He’s serious about his art but laid back all at the same time. When he told me he was done and to check it out I was not expecting it to be as great as it was. His attention to detail was appreciated and made it worth every penny. Definitely need to consider them when looking to get a piece done.

I have found my new shop!! Felt welcome from the moment I arrived. Clean and sterile, comfortable the whole time. Trinity was my artist and did beautiful work, a long tailed skipper and peach blossoms for my grandchild. She was chatty in the way that a friend is and I appreciated her conversation as she worked, it helps to keep my mind occupied and is an important part of the experience for me. I will go back for my next tattoo and would recommend to a friend or family member.

I have had several tattoos done here and I will shout their praises to the rooftops. They are welcoming, clean, professional, and the work they do is phenomenal. If you’re looking for a place to get a tattoo done in Tallahassee, these guys should be your first pick for sure.

Love this place! Ive gotten two wonderful tattoos and a piercing (soon to be two) from here. Every time Ive been in has been a great experience. Everyone is super chill, its clean, and theyve usually got a good movie playing. Highly recommend, I know Ill be going back!

Mattison did my first ever tattoo back in 2021, it was a rose memorial tattoo for my grandfather. I showed her a drawing Id dont and asked for something similar but with her own little twist to it. It turned out AMAZING. Last year I won Carbon Inks tattoo giveaway and chose Mattison again for my bull skull (im a taurus). I came in and asked for a bull skull and whatever Mattison wanted to add. Upon seeing the piece I immediatley fell in love with it and couldnt wait to put it on my body. Ill be back for my dagger tattoo (with Mattison) in a couple weeks. Planning to explore all of carbon inks artists eventually. I just cannot pass up the chance flex more of Mattisons AMAZING artistry.

I am super happy w Carbon Ink. Great atmosphere n everyone is welcoming. Very clean. Ive gotten four tattoos with Trinity and love her work. Very clean lines and my tattos always bright n vibrant with color packed in. I highly recommend them.

Just got a small piece from Emilio and let me tell you it was the least painful experience I have ever had. Everyone in the shop is amazing and very funny as well. I highly recommend Carbon ink to anyone who wants to get a tattoo!

Carbon ink is my new favorite studio. my artist, mattison, was truly such an amazing person & tattoo’er. she made my tattoo better than I ever couldve imagined. she was a delight to talk to, made me laugh so much and made me feel so comfortable! everyone there was so welcoming and kind and i recommend this studio 100%.update: years later and this is still the only studio i go to!! ive gotten 8+ tattoos and lots of piercings here & have had the BEST time in doing so. not only do you get the best service, but you get the best vibes ever.carbon ink rocks!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

9/10 would get stabbed again. Went in for the friday the 13th special. First time tattoo the guy in the front could sense my anxiety and checked on me. When brought back matthew did a fantastic job. Explained everything talked through the process and started my newest addiction.

We love Carbon Ink and everyone that works there. I have been getting tattooed there for a couple years now. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and welcome. From Flash to custom designs they do everything and really make you happy.

I came in for three nose piercings (both nostrils and septum) and Aamil is incredible. Kept me comfortable the entire session, offered water/sugar, and explained every step and process clearly. They went above and beyond my expectations, will definitely be coming back for my double nostrils soon! 🫶

I have gone to carbon ink 4 times now, three times for a tattoo and once for a piercing. Every time went smoothly and I had a different professional each time. I can confidently say that everyone who works here knows what they’re doing and are more than capable in providing your next tattoo/piercing :)

Got my first (and only) tattoo at Carbon Ink in February 2024 with Matthew Dudley. The experience was fantastic! Matthew did an amazing job working with me to design and then actually do the tattoo. During the consultation, he was actively listening to what I wanted, asking insightful questions, and taking careful notes.He worked with the design I had in my head and found a design that was actually doable while still meeting what I wanted and the final design was beautiful.As a whole, the place is clean, comfortable, and friendly. I was very much at ease there and got great vibes throughout the whole experience.If I ever do decide to get another tattoo, I will be going back to Carbon Ink without any hesitation and would very highly recommend them to anyone in Tallahassee looking for a place to get their next tattoo.

Mattison is the most professional artist ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Shes very clean and makes sure her customers are comfortable the whole time. Her range of work is so broad and youll absolutely love anything you get!! AAA+ recommended. I also really really love all the other artists here! Everyone is so talented!

Aamil was amazing. I had a stud in my tragus piercing that the back had become fused onto/stuck to. I was unable to get the stud out of my ear for awhile and had put it off. She easily removed the old stud off and did not charge me anything for the service. Also a very cozy, clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.

I love the work these people produce. I used Mattison Fire for an arm piece that had some cover up and waiting to have my back covered and redone. They are all really good and professional. The shop is very clean and well cared for. I cannot wait to get more work done.

I got my tattoo with Mattison and she was so friendly and professional! I reached out to her on Instagram with a custom request and she executed it perfectly. Everyone wears a mask and the place is nicely decorated and clean. This was my first tattoo and Im so glad it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. Would highly recommend!

I just got 4 small tattoos done with Trinity and she was awesome!! We met prior for a consultation to talk about everything I wanted and she listened to me and made sure it was just right. The entire facility is super clean and welcoming and the entire staff is very friendly and professional. Trinity gave me a cute little gift bag when I left that had a hand written note from her as well as some stickers, candy, and soap/lotion for aftercare. I thought it was so thoughtful and just an extra above and beyond thing that added to my experience. I thoroughly enjoyed coming here and I have my next appointment booked at the end of summer with her! Would recommend to anyone in Tallahassee looking for skilled artists who are welcoming, friendly, and very professional(:

Carbon Ink is one of my favorite spots in Tallahassee! Very accommodating and easy to book. The staff is always so kind and the range of artists makes it easy for booking any style of tattoo. My friends and I have been going here since they opened and well all continue to until the end of time. I cannot say enough positive remarks about this business and staff

Had an appointment on Saturday 9/16 for an idea I’ve had for years now on getting and it didn’t dissapoint. Trinity made it even better than I expected honestly and damn she was fast at it! Wonderful atmosphere as well everyone there is very welcoming! We drove all the way out here from ocala since fiancé has had some work done on her from here and it’s worth every mile! Highly recommend this place for anyone new or vet to ink and I already have more plans down the line to return with more designs! Thank you again Trinity and will more likely see our business again very soon!!

I came in for a consultation and asked for someone who specialized in black and gray coverups. They put me with an extremely nice gentleman who made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. When it came time for the appointment, the stencil he drew was nothing like what I asked even after giving specifics. When I asked if he specialized in coverups, he said no. When I asked if he specialized in black and gray, he once again said no. I unfortunately forfeited my deposit and left. I wish I would’ve had a better experience.

I got a small floral piece done by Trinity last week. This was my first time at the shop and I was really impressed. The shop is beautiful and the staff is lovely! Trinity made sure I was happy with the design and executed it to perfection! She gave clear instructions on after care and sent me off with a hand written note thanking me for the opportunity to work together. While quality art of any kind isnt cheap, I thought their prices were very reasonable, especially given the caliber of work. I will be back!

Trinity is amazing! She has done two of my tattoos now and it’s been such a pleasant experience both times. She really takes time to listen to you, make sure you’re comfortable and happy, and does an outstanding job. The shop is clean and inviting and the entire staff is friendly and keep you laughing while you’re there. Will be back many, many times!

This review is far overdo, but I had a tattoo finished by Mattison on 1/27 and I don’t think I could be happier! I came in with the goal of her finishing a tattoo a different artist worked on but did not finish. It was not a positive experience with the previous artist so I was really looking forward to moving past it. From the beginning, Mattison was so kind and considerate of my prior bad experience. Not only was she apologetic, but she did her best to give me back some agency so that I felt heard and felt like my wants were incorporated into my tattoo. The experience was so wonderful, and my jellyfish looks sick! I hated looking at the unfinished mess and hid it as much as possible. But now I’m dying for warmer weather so everyone can see what great work she did. I will 10000% be going to her for all my tattoos going forward! I cannot recommend her enough. Also, the whole studio was such a safe, inclusive space. It was so refreshing and I can’t wait to go back.

First, I want to say, Trinity is the best she gives great prices. She’s cool and awesome if anybody’s getting a tattooed by her, don’t worry she would take care of you. By far she is one of the best tattoo artist I had. I’m definitely coming back to her and getting more

My recent visits to Carbon Ink were awesome! I found this place via Instagram for their Friday the 13th tattoo special they were running last month. A happy coincidence introduced me to Angi for my flash tattoo (a scarab beetle). She did an amazing job and I get so many compliments on it. Not only was Angi professional and kind, she whistles like a Disney Princess and has a very light tattoo touch, making the tattooing time a breeze. I loved my Friday the 13th tattoo so much that I returned last week for a mystery gumball “get what you get” tattoo, again with Angi. I pulled a cute elephant and again, my artist hit it out of the park. I would absolutely recommend Carbon Ink to anyone I know. The ambiance and speakeasy vibe is so fun, and the artists are all very nice. I will be returning for more tattoos in the future, as well as piercings with Laney, who had a great consultation with me while I was waiting for my last tattoo. Love this place!

I got my first tattoo with Mattison in 2022. It was a memorial piece for my dad, who I had lost the previous year. She was absolutely WONDERFUL. Not only did I come away with a beautiful piece that I’m proud to show off, she was great to talk to. The atmosphere in the shop is so supportive and kind, with artists hyping each other up and just throwing out good vibes. I’ve since gotten two more tattoos with Mattison (with a fourth scheduled soon!) and I tell absolutely everyone how much I’ve loved my experience at Carbon Ink.

I have been getting tattoos for about 10 years now. I was driving to artists I really liked in St.Pete, Tampa, and Orlando. A couple of years ago I decided to stop by Carbon Ink. The shop gave off the same vibes I got from the high end shops I frequented in the larger cities and I was thoroughly impressed. The shop is welcoming and has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Every body here is extremely talented and I dont think you could go wrong getting a piece from anyone here. Not only is everyone a good artist but they are all extremely pleasant to be around and to have a conversation with. I have gotten 3 pieces done so far from this shop ranging from small to large full day sessions. I would highly recommend Mattison (insta: @mattisonfire). She has single handedly become one of my favorite artists. She has the lightest handed of any artist I have ever worked with. Her pieces are some of my wifes and my best healed work. She has been deemed by some as the cover up and highlight queen. I cannot sing her praises louder than I already have. Since getting tattooed here I have lost the urge to see the other artists I worked with in those other cities. Carbon ink hits all points on the head giving them in my book a 10/10. They nail everything. You would be hard pressed to find a shop giving better service and hosting talent. Carbon ink is now my primary shop with Mattison being the first person that pops into my mind when I want a piece done.

I love my tattoo!!! Emilio copied my mom’s handwriting perfectly. He was very professional, nice and knowledgeable. I was a walk in and everyone there made me feel very welcomed and not a burden. The studio was very clean and organized. I will definitely be going back soon.

I’ve been tattooed at several other shops, but after my experiences here, I can honestly say I will only be using Carbon Ink for all of my future tattoos. The staff here is so incredibly friendly, welcoming, professional, and experienced. I have not seen any of the artists produce a piece of art that is anything less than exceptional and I would comfortably let any of the artists tattoo me. The shop holds itself to a very high standard with cleanliness, and the general atmosphere of the shop is second to none. Truly one of the best tattoo shops in Tallahassee and I cannot recommend it enough.

I visited Carbon Ink for the first time for a nose piercing yesterday, and my experience was absolutely lovely! The staff was friendly and helpful. My piercer, Delaney, was very clean and professional. She walked me through what she would be doing before doing it, then again as she did everything. I felt very comfortable and informed the whole time! I plan to be back this weekend actually, for their Valentine’s day tattoo special! To top it all off, I was given a very sweet and thoughtful goodie bag on my way out, containing candy, stickers, some beautiful stones and a thank you note! 💓 No, thank YOU Carbon Ink, see you again!!

I got a tattoo done by Trinity and let me tell you- the tattoo and Trinity are phenomenal. She was professional and nice, super friendly and knew exactly what she was doing. The tattoo came out perfectly and she was more than happy to listen to what I wanted done and do that. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Not to mention the store is really cool, too. Its got a nice vibe to it and everyone there -from Ben at the front to the other artists - were super sweet and supportive. Tallahassee has a lot of great parlors and artists and this is definitely one of them.

I have posted a review on the tattoo side for this shop and now it is time for Piercing! Aamil is an amazing piercer. They made me feel comfortable and at ease during the whole process. She took her time and made sure everything was explained and to my liking. Highly recommend her for any of your piercings! (Ignore my crooked glasses, they are bent lol)

I came in to see Trinity specifically for their Friday the 13th special and was very impressed with how clean and beautiful the front was. Trinity has tattooed me before and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with her work and craftsmanship since Day One and today was no exception. She continues to do excellent work. Clean lines and so light and quick which is much appreciated on my end. And the quality is all there. I will continue to come to Carbon Ink and to see Trinity for any future pieces big or small. She truly is talented and her portfolio continues to grow tremendously. The rest of the staff was very welcoming and attentive as well! Everyone was professional and everything was very sanitized and thoroughly cleaned.

Great shop, clean, beautiful layout. Very friendly when we arrived. We didnt make a appointment but they took care if us in no time. My wife wanted a piercing and they took the upmost care and safety precautions. Great service before, during and after. Highly recommend.

I filled out the online consultation form, and I ended up having to fill it out 3 times over the course of a month to even get a response. Then when I got my tattoos (which I am very happy with, two little tattoos behind my ears) I was charged 100 dollars each, so 200 Dollars. A couple weeks later I submitted another consultation form for another tattoo but this time I only filled it out once. I never got a response. I took my business elsewhere. I am glad I did. I feel like they should be better about checking that and replying to customers, and I feel like the artists should make sure they’re not price gouging over little tattoos that should be like 60 dollars each. I only say this after consulting other artists. I gave 3 stars because I AM happy with my tattoos, but the overall experience and price just did not feel worth it to me. My artist was Matthew.

I first visited Carbon Ink on Saturday and had my tattoo done by Trinity! She is absolutely talented! Her work is flawless!!! And she is quick but precise with her work. I will definitely be back to get more work done by Trinity. If you’re looking for a good tattoo shop with TALENTED artists then look no farther than Carbon Ink. They’re THE best!!!!

Went for a piercing change a couple times with Delaney! She was so sweet and professional which helped when I was nervous. She didn’t seem bothered by any of my many questions. The facility is clean and has great decorations. The rest of the staff also greeted me. Great place!

I did a walk-in for a septum piercing today with Laney and I had a great experience. All of the staff was professional and the environment was so awesome (i love all the interior decorating btw). I was very informed of aftercare and the general procedure. I genuinely think I was out within 20-25 minutes maybe? Great experience. Love my new piercing. Hope to come back for some tattoos soon ❤️

Trinity is working on a cover up 1/2 sleeve for me and she has been nothing short of amazing. She’s very easy to chat with, respectful of your time, and an amazing artist.The shop is definitely the classiest shop I’ve been in here in Tallahassee. Some of them just make you feel dirty. Carbon ink is clean, tastefully decorated, and even has a little room for your guests to keep them comfortable while they wait for you.I did not rate on good value because I don’t believe your tattoo should be a good value. This is definitely something you get what you pay for. I can’t speak to all artists’ pricing, but I think trinity charges a reasonable price and with that deserves a reasonable tip each time.

The shop in general looked super clean and well kept. Friendly staff. I visited Delaney to discuss my existing piercings from another shop. She is very knowledgeable and helped to explain possible reasons why I was having issues, and helped me come to a conclusion to remove them. She definitely goes the extra mile by drawing some pictures of the piercing anatomy for visual aid. :)

Trinity is amazing and has great line work. I will always go to her and this shop for my tattoos. I have only been tattooed by Trinity, but when other artist are in there they make it a fun and relaxing while you get a tattoo; its like hanging out with everyone. All the artists are respectful of privacy and very professional. I recommend this shop to everyone I meet!

Delaney was so kind when giving me my second nose piercing! She was clean, professional, and made me feel so comfortable. She answered any questions I had, and explained everything so well, even providing detailed aftercare instructions! I highly recommend her for any piercing need! I love this place! Ive been to a few different tattoo parlors and this one is by far the best. The environment is super nice and the tattoo artists and piercer are amazing!! Ive gotten tattooed by Trinity and Angie and they are both amazing and talanted ladies. Ive also gotten pierced by their head piercer Delaney and she is so sweet! She was able to help me with a piercing I had gotten at a different parlor and confirm my suspicion on it being pierced wrong and helped me. Shes pierced me recently and Ive never been more comfortable with the process than with her.The shop itself is so unique! The decore is amazing, furniture is super comfy, and all around just an amazing place. I tell all my friends to go here!Update 10/27/21Im still absolutely in love with this place! Ive gotten something done by almost everyone in the shop! Everytime I go I feel welcomed and safe. Everyone who works there is an angel. Ive had friends go get their first tattoo and some piercings from the shop and they cant wait to go back! Best place in town without a doubt!!

This place is absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is great, it’s beyond clean (both the lobby and piercing room!), super cool looking, and all the staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. I got my septum pierced with Aamil today and they did it perfectly! The process was seamless from start to finish. I was able to tell Aamil exactly how I wanted it and it came out even better! I can’t wait to go back for my next one ((:

I truly cannot express just how awesome this shop is! Not only is the store itself super cute and inviting with the sweetest shop manager you’ll ever meet, Sydney, up front, but the door to go into the back makes you feel like you’re walking into a speakeasy which just adds to the excitement. The artists are absolutely phenomenal and will really work with you on what you want to make sure it’s perfect. Emilio has done two for me now, one pretty big one and the other on the smaller side but both are stunning and incredibly detailed! Everyone there just wants you to have a great experience and that’s exactly what you’re going to get!! 20/10 would recommend.

Carbon Ink Tattoo was very clean and inviting. All of the staff were super friendly! I got a nose piercing by Delaney and would highly recommend her to everybody! I received nipple piercings from Aamil and was nervous. This is my second time around so I had lots of scar tissue. Even though it hurt, Aamil made me feel so great and relaxed. I had such a great experience and feel so confident. I breathed deeply the whole time like she said, it was such a beautiful and CLEAN environment, and got great aftercare instructions!

Easily my favorite tattoo shop in Tallahassee, if not the best. Not only are all the artists there incredibly talented, every staff member is kind and considerate. Very professional shop, as well. Ive been here multiple times and left happy every time! Highly suggest coming here!

I walked in, looking for a new septum piercing, because I made the wrong decision to purchase my previous one at the mall.The store itself is amazing, I loved the layout almost immediately. You truly get the feeling of professionalism just sitting in the waiting room.Laney was the one to help me out. I told her what I was looking for, and she walked me through the different colors and helped me pick one, the Blurple, which I am completely in love with. She even helped me put it in, which I wasnt expecting, but was extremely thankful for.The price, for what I purchased, is not bad at all. I have friends who spend more on earrings, that arent as pretty.I completely recommend this place, from the atmosphere, to the employees, everything is perfect... even if the dude at the reception desk made groan worthy puns.

Incredible shop! Everyone working there was very nice and the atmosphere was great and made me feel really comfortable. Emilio tattooed me with a $75 flash tattoo and spent several hours on it to make it really above and beyond. Turned out cooler than I couldve imagined. Laney pierced my septum, and did a great job!

Trinity was awesome. I came in with my mom and aunt for their first tattoo and I got a small cross Ive wanted for awhile. We all had a great time and the place was very welcoming to newbies and allowing family to watch. Referred by my cousin Dan who goes to Emilio. We will be back! Thanks everyone!

She had no issues and was very nice when I wanted to change his facial expression after already agreeing to what she had drawn up ( anxiety is oh so fun lol). Everyone here is beyond talented and versatile with their style!I am currently working on a sleeve with Angi (a go to for anything Japanese style). I always feel comfortable and welcome there. 4 hour tattoo passed in a flash and everything healed beautifully. 100% recommend this shop to anyone wanting a tattoo.

I got my nose pierced by Delaney and she did amazing!! She was very informative, clean, and great at what she does. I drove 2 hours to her and I won’t hesitate to do it again :) The rest of the staff were nice as well. I highly recommend getting your piercings here.

I have gotten a couple of piercing here with Laney and she has been so awesome and really walks you through the piercing process which I appreciate. I have also gotten tattooed by Mattison and she made my session one of the best I’ve ever had! Her work is amazing and I will definitely be going back!!

I got a tattoo done here on December 17th and it was a great experience! This was my first tattoo and I was a little nervous, but the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and the studio was incredibly clean. I absolutely intend to return here in the future for a few different tattoos I intend to get. The artist who did my tattoo was Angi and I absolutely love it- as does everyone who sees it! The picture was taken today (over 3 months after I got the tattoo) and the colors are still incredibly vibrant! Absolutely would recommend this studio as a whole and especially Angi!

I am beyond pleased with the piece I got from Shea and I am extremely excited to get something from all the other artists at this place. The owner, Emilio is a local firefighter and a super great guy, you really couldnt be supporting a better business owner!Also just wanna add that the aesthetic of the shop itself is as cool as it gets. I have gotten tattooed twice at Carbon Ink, once by Mattison Fire and once by Angi Rosa. Both times I was made super comfortable and both artists were super professional and did great work. This was my first time having a consult for a tattoo and it was super easy and low pressure.

As someone who prides themself in caring about service time, quality, and work, I can say that I am nothing but pleased with the work done at Carbon. Angie, my tattoo artist, did a work that should have taken around 1h30 in one hour and applied the most detailed points. Not only that, but she carried conversation the entire process, which allowed me to destress a little bit and get to know her and her coworkers much more. I was very nervous, as this is my first time getting a tattoo in Tallahassee, but I am nothing but happy with the entire experience and being able to converse with the ENTIRE staff, not just my artist, in light-hearted fashion just shows the true beauty of this tattoo parlor. Delaney did my nostril piercing and I love it so much! The whole process was quick, yet thorough. She answered any questions I had and was extremely patient and gentle. The shop was super clean as well. 5 stars!

Emilio did a watercolor tattoo on me that turned out BEAUTIFUL. It looks like it was directly transferred from the drawing to my skin and looks impeccable. He made the entire process seamless and helped make me comfortable even through the painful parts. He was very thorough in reviewing aftercare.
