Max “InkSlingMaster” was amazing ! He did my tattoo for my husband. I love it! It didn’t hurt AT ALL. The thing I love the most is he took me on such short notice. Very light handed! Highly recommend!

We were in on vacation from out of town and wanted a tattoo with my daughter. Had kind of a unique design and late in the day. Aries stayed way after to take care of us and did an amazing job. We couldnt be happier. I highly recommend him to anyone in the Tallahassee area.

Came in for the Friday the 13th tattoo deal but ended up leaving without a tattoo, 20 dollars lost, and in tears. The male tattoo artist who is bald and covered in tattoos fat shamed me. I wanted a small tattoo and he kept insisting I get a bigger one because he said while laughing that I “wasn’t slim” so I didn’t need to get a small tattoo. Greatly disappointed in the service yet the lady at the front was nice and offered a different artist but I refused since I didn’t want to give my money to a business who can hire a rude individual like him. His name was Max, please do not waste your time with him!

My best friend and I went here to get Friday 13th tattoos, and the tattoo artist we had fat shamed my best friend. It was obnoxious and we ended up leaving because we didn’t want to give this tattoo shop any business. Horrible experience, my best friend left distraught and in tears. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

For starters, the shop is a vibe. Artwork everywhere, bangers playing in the background, and artists that make you feel like youre in the right place. I had a simple bouquet with my favorite quite done by Hunter Hughes and yall, this guy could do script with his eyes closed!! His lines are flawless and his ability to create what you want from pieces of inspo was really cool. He was super nice, professional, and super patient when I asked to relay the stencil. My nose piercing came out and I was having difficulty getting it back in. I remember years ago (when I first got my piercing) that something similar happened and I came here and they replaced it for me. This time, I had my nose ring and Kacey was phenomenal in getting it back in and tightening it, so that it was less likely to happen again. Im used to expecting my eye to tear up a little; but this time, I did not feel any of it. It was absolutely quick, pain-free, and to top it off, Kacey is very professional and relatable. Im so grateful for your services today and highly recommend them for piercings.

Empire Tattooz is one of nicest shops I’ve ever been to. From walking in, the manager was very friendly and a tattoo artist came out right away to greet us and get started. This was a spur of the moment tattoo for me and my sister. It was a slow night so they took us right in for a walk in. Lebraun was our artist and took great care of us! He took his time to make sure everything was perfect and even hand drew something for us. The other artist in the shop were friendly and it was an awesome vibe between everyone. Great experience and will 100% be back in the future! You should definitely check them out and we recommend Braun Braun! Thank you for walking us out to the car since we left after 1 Am!

Jay is absolutely phenomenal. She did my first and second tattoo in one sitting. Her vibe is incredibly comfortable and she is kind and understanding. Her work is gorgeous and you can tell she puts a lot of time, care, and attention into her art. Both her talent and care is why she is going to now be my tattoo artist.

I took my daughter to get her first tattoo today!! Everyone was very nice, very clean and professional. Santiago was so wonderful, he made her 1st tattoo experience great! We will be back for all of our tattoo needs.

The best place in town!! I’ve been here for multiple tattoos, all my piercings, all my friends piercings, and the team there is so accommodating! They do walk ins and appointments. Mustafa (my artist) helped me through the whole process and left me with a fantastic new piece!

Got a flash tattoo from Jay for Friday the 13th, best tattoo Ive ever gotten. They were so nice and accommodating and they did amazing work. I will likely be coming back to them for another tattoo in the futureEdit (July 2024): I went back for 2 more tattoos in the meantime and am planning to get more done with them in the future. One of the tattoos that they did on me was a scar cover up, and despite being their first cover up it was flawless and perfectly executed. The other one was a cover up of a stick and poke I had done (and regretted). You cant even tell it was ever there. Jay is one of the best and most well and skilled tattoo artists ever.

Tessa was INCREDIBLE!! My husband recently got a tattoo of the first gnome he ever bought as well as gear shifter numbers. I sent Tessa a photo of the gnome and she honestly blew us away with her sketch and talent! Not only is Tessa crazy talented, but she was extremely professional, clean, and friendly. HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!! I brought my own earrings for them to put in and had the piercing already but got charged 35 dollars and 15 of the dollars WERE A SERVICE CHARGE! in this economy babes…. absolutely NOT!!!!

Called a couple times through the week with general questions which the receptionist was really great and informative abt. Finally decided to go in for a nose piercing. Was greeted immediately by (found out later) my piercer Owen. He was friendly and welcoming. Shortly after the receptionist (Torry) greeted me got my information and Owen took me back to the piercing room. I was nervous but the atmosphere alone made me calm down a bit. Owen was great. He went over some things abt nose piercings and constantly made sure i was okay. The piercing was quick and I was in love with it!! 4 days later I noticed the top of my stud was sinking into my skin. I called the shop. Torry told me to come in and Kasey switched out my piercing no problem. Im even more in love with my nose piercing now! Thank you Empire!

I got my belly pierced yesterday and I LOVE IT. Jay was the most amazing artist /apprentice ever!!! Although she is an apprentice right now, you can tell she is passionate and she takes such good care of her clients. I brought a guest with me and she made both of us feel safe and welcome. She respected pronouns and made us feel comfortable. Jay was very transparent about her skill/comfort level and she KILLED the tattoo she did. I highly suggest looking at her flash and we will be back for more tattoos.

Came in and pleasantly greeted and helped. Was able to book a same day appointment with Santiago who took the time to redesign my idea with more detail and better shading. He was able to finish it all with 4 hours with a great price. If you’re getting a tattoo, I’d always recommend this shop over the others.

I went in for the Friday the 13th tattoo sale and had nothing but a positive experience. The shop is filled with amazing people who treat you like family. My artist Hunter got me right with a new piece in 20 minutes which was worth the wait. He does professional work, loves what he’s doing.

I received a tattoo on Friday the 13th and ive never seen such bad line work. The thickness changes throughout, some dont connect, and they are beyond shaky. The tattoo is not symmetrical and blowout occurred almost immediately. They do not care about who their artists are, they only want bodys in the shop. would not recommended. don’t go!

I woke up yesterday morning ready to get a small tattoo that I’ve been debating about getting for the past four years. I went to another shop from referrals and they were closed during their operating hours so I started searching through reviews online for an artist. I found two artists at this establishment I was drawn to due their reviews and work. I went in and asked for both but they weren’t available at the time however my heart was set on getting this done yesterday so in walks Mustafa and the receptionist let him know what I was in for. He was happy to take me and had excellent energy which is HUGE to me. I haven’t had a tattoo in over 12 years so it felt like the first time however he put me at ease and made me comfortable. He took the time to prep his station in front of me while maintaining conversation so it wasn’t awkward. Therefore, I can vouch that this establishment is clean and takes the proper safety precautions. Something I thought would take maybe 5 minutes took longer because he for one didn’t cut any corners on safety and prep but he also let me know when I asked how long the tattoo would take he let me know he doesn’t rush he likes to take his time for the best quality outcome . I appreciate that after all it is a permanent piece of art. All in all I am very satisfied with my tattoo and I believe it will heal very well. I will most definitely be returning to this shop for more work. Whoever owns it has a team with undeniable talent across the board. So if ever you come looking for someone and others are available trust that you will be satisfied with the work because again the owner doesn’t miss and has well qualified individuals occupying the shop. The staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and personable. Not only did they take our walk in, they let us pick something that wasnt in the flash and did a quick outline for us. We worked with Mustafa who was great and very talented, im 3 weeks out and Im thrilled with the clean lines and shading. We were there for a few hours and everyone was kind and super fun to talk to!

I went to Empire for flash on Friday the 13th and I couldnt have been happier! I had a specific artist I wanted because her flash was so cute and there was a wait but it was so worth it! Jay was so sweet and kind, I loved talking to her about the tattoo I was getting and any future plans. I am 110% coming back to get another tattoo from her in the future!

Sassy is the best piercer out there! She’s pierced me three times (cartilage, belly button, and daith) and they’ve all healed beautifully within months. Definitely ask for her!

Very happy with my tattoo! Mustafa did such a good job and made us feel very comfortable. The service was a little slow and we were waiting for a while (however we did just walk in). The receptionist left at one point, but when Mustafa got there he was really running the place, answering phone calls, helping people, sketching our tattoos, he was doing it all!!! He not only made us feel comfortable in getting the piercing itself but in explaining to us how he will do the piercing, and the after-care needed. They were really quick at getting my friends and I to the back for our piercings. We had Sassy she did a great job and was very informative and friendly. It was an enjoyable experience! After my piercing I was having some complications with it getting infected and not knowing how to clean it and she rescheduled me for a change out and made sure I had everything I needed!

The staff at Empire was very friendly and welcoming! Kyle was my artist and he did an amazing job! I told him what I wanted and we didn’t have to draft multiple ideas – he nailed it the first time! The staff even accommodated my little one by giving her “a big girl chair” to spin around in while she waited. Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people.

I went in for my second holes to be repierced. My piercers name was Rob and he was super! I had a load of questions pertaining to other piercings and he was so patient and answered every one of them. I HIGHLY recommend him when getting poked with a needle. He’s great!

On New Years Eve me and my husband went here to get wedding band tattoos for our anniversary & our tattoo artist was absolutely amazing!!! It was my very first tattoo so I was nervous but he made me feel comfortable. Ontop of his great art work he was a great guy! Super nice!!However.... once the guy came in to take over the front desk for the lady...as we was waiting to be called back to get our tattoos,He was very VERY VERY loud,obnoxious,unprofessional!! It was clear that he knew the group of customers that came in shortly after he did because one of them sat behind the counter with him and they all played around.. laughing.. cussing and as I said being extremely loud. I was already nervous as I stated earlier and they definitely did not help matters!!! Again THE TATTOO ARTIST WAS PROFESSIONAL, NICE AND HE DID A AMAZING JOB.

The person at the front desk names Brandy was really sweet and had good customer service and the piercer Kayla did her work very fast and efficiently and she was really sweet and laid back.

Tonight upon entering the shop the receptionist was not customer friendly. I asked about changing out jewelry as this was the third time my jewelry piece had come out. Instead of her addressing my concern she was stuck on how the prior receptionist put my prior piercing in the system last year in August. The receptionist name was Jamie. This was not my first encounter with Jamie. One night after coming all the way to the shop I was told they were closed one hour before closing time. This would have not been an issue however we had called prior to coming and was not advised once the shop would be closing early. If Jamie does not demonstrate great customer service then maybe the front desk is not the best place for her. I only seem to have issues when she is there. All other times that I have been in the shop I was treated with amazing customer service from people like Sassy, Ron, Mike as well as Ben. Please address this issue because while the shop is an amazing shop a customers experience starts when we walk through the shops doors

Sassy was the best! She was very knowledgable about the process and gave me advice that helped put my mind at ease. I pass out frequently when I see the tiniest bit of blood and when that happened Sassy knew exactly what to do to help me regain focus and balance. I trust her completely! I went in a little skeptical, as one should with all piercing places but they really exceeded my expectations. Sassy pierced my friend (she had 4 ear piercings) while Katy did my other friend and me (we got our second lobes pierced) and they both informed us thoroughly about the process and aftercare. I would definitely go there again and reccomend it to anyone in the area.

I would give no stars if possible. A heads up I did one nipple piercing and tattoo at this establishment when everyone was professional and clean overall a lovely experience. However… I AM NEVER EVER GOING BACK. Please don’t make the mistake of getting pierced here. I came back for my second nipple piercing and the entire experience was horrible start to finish. No one was at the reception desk for the first 20 minutes I was there when I was the only person waiting. When a employee finally showed up she proceeded to make a personal phone call on speaker before addressing me. I then waited another 20/25 minutes before being seated. My piercer said she’s been piercing for 16 years and is the manager of the piercing department. On the first attempt, the piercing was completely crooked. She then asked if I wanted it fixed, like yeah Im not coming back and paying again for your mistake. On the second attempt, she stuck the needle in but couldn’t get the jewellery in and proceeded to stab through my skin for quite a while as I was in extreme pain and bleeding quite a bit. She then used her bloody gloves to open a draw with other jewellery contaminating everything else. I called back twice to complain and was told they don’t do refunds. My complaints felt ignored and brushed away. On top of everything, my piercing is still crooked and I experienced a tremendous amount of pain unlike my first piercing. I ended up just taking it out all together. The experience felt extremely unprofessional and I understand mistakes when piercing one’s body however, 16 years feels like too much experience to make such mistakes. Also as someone with an extra high pain tolerance I felt that the whole situation was very bad and would hate for anyone else to have to go through something similar.-Anonymous friend

My wife and I wanted to get tattoos that represnt how we keep each other grounded and with dates of when we got married and birthdates of our kids. I did a walk in and it was 2 people ahead of me. I had to wait maybe a little more than 30 minutes. I got a nostril and septum piercing from Sassy. Her energy was everything!!!! The piercing process took less than 10 minutes; it was quick and painless. I was nervous at first, and when it was done, I asked “is that it?” I barely felt anything. I love my piercings!!!!

I absolutely loved my entire experience at Empire Tattooz! I got my tragus piercing a few days ago, and my piercer Val did an excellent job; she was very gentle and made it as least painful as possible. It was my first ever cartilage piercing, so I was extremely nervous. She was extremely sweet about it. I would definitely go back to her for future piercings. I had a very pleasant conversation with her over the phone the day before to make an appointment, which demonstrates good customer service. They also text you a reminder, which is very convenient. I would highly recommend making an appointment for a piercing, so that way you dont have to wait. All of the needles and materials were extremely sterile (brand new), which is of utmost importance to me when looking for a reputable piercing shop. The process was extremely quick as well; everything including paperwork took about 10 to 15 minutes. They run the shop very efficiently. In short, I would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.There is only one downside, and that is that they are a cash only establishment, so it was a little bit of a pain to make sure I had the cash in advance of my appointment. Other than that, really great place for piercings!

I went here a few days ago to get my ears pierced and it just simply wasn’t a good experience. I was greeted when I came in by the lady at the desk but my piercer did not do a good job. She didn’t greet or acknowledge me, and she also didn’t ask me specifics about what I wanted. She didn’t ask me about jewelry, and she also didn’t tell me what size piercing she gave me nor did she tell what kind of metal the earring was made out of, and in the end she put this super long earring in that almost touches my hair even when it’s up.I personally would recommend going to capital city tattooz. I got a piercing done here and it was a completely different experience. Not only did they have a full display of jewelry the people were just more friendly. I was made aware of what kid of jewelry it was, what size i was getting and i was given an entire pamphlet about piercing after care.Long story short, don’t go here for piercings.

I’m so serious please do not go here. I went here with my best friend for matching tattoos and Aries put gloves on, then grabbed a firework (which he sells apparently) with his gloves hand! I shared this experience with another friend and she said Aries practiced inappropriately with her as well… Went up to two stars because the actual tattoo is healed well.

Went to the Friday 13th special and I never expected it to be as crazy as it was. When I say crazy I mean crazy, but the staff was wonderful and very kind to my entire group. Q was amazing and very professional even with all madness going on around him. Mike was a top notch business owner who was constantly checking on his tattoo artist and the clients. Then there Was Serena...she was so fun and gave us exactly what we wanted for our “girls night out” tattoo. Ive come in before to get my nipples and septum pierced clean and professional both times. I came into to get my tongue pierced on Wednesday and same quality service as always. The first two were done by Calah who I can not recommend enough any issues/ questions with healing were addressed quickly. Aamil did my tongue and I received the same high quality service as always .

Coming in I knew it was going to be an amazing experience as the staff was friendly and talk to me throughout the process. This was a spontaneous decision so I didn’t had an appointment but talk to Tessa and the staff about it and told her what I wanted and where and she took on the challenge. So, Tessa did my tattoo (approx $160) and I am extremely ticklish so I didn’t feel any pain. She was amazing at taking breaks while I giggled or just broke into laughter but the result is amazing.

As a professional tattoo artist I can say with absolute certainty and confidence that they give the industry a bad name and are the exact reason this business has the stigma it does. DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!!! Dont settle for anything less than quality which will speak for itself. Check out every shop and make an educated decision. This shop does not care about their clients and customers. Respect yourselves and choose wisely. Your tattoo artist should be looking out for your best interest artistically as well as regarding cleanliness and sterility. I personally know many artists whove worked their and have confirmed the conditions and lack of quality control Ive seen with my own eyes. There are MANY reputable tattoo artists and shops to choose from. Im not asking you, the client who matters most in this situation, to go anywhere specific. Just please do yourself a favor and choose a quality artist/ shop to make you the perfect tattoo. Tattoos are forever and they will long outlast the feeling of a good deal or a convenient location.

I just got my second tattoo done here about a week ago and it was a wonderful process just like the first time. The music is great and the people are funny, relatable, and nice. The fact that they take walk-ins is an added bonus and keeps me coming back. Last second decided I wanted a tattoo, popped in the shop, got it done within a couple hours. Also, if you need help designing and drawing up your tattoo, Id get Madison on that! Shes truly an amazing artist and Im definitely going to try and get my next tat drawn and tatted by her!

I found my Shop and artist! After visiting several shops in Tallahassee ( and walking back out almost immediately) I walked into Empire and didn’t want to leave. From the moment I walked in the door with my wife until the moment we left, we felt welcome and not just another person. They have a great environment that is down to earth and very relaxed. Maggie May designed and inked exactly what I wanted. I will be a returning customer. I have 6 other tattoos and I think she was the easiest and most light handed artist I have experienced. First time going to Empire and I will definitely be coming back! Maggie was super friendly and helpful. She helped with the sizing and she made sure the placement was PERFECT before continuing. I knew my sternum was going to hurt but she made the experience well worth it and easy to sit through. She gave me exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier!

Got my original tattoo there which was something small but I wanted it to be something more. I had no idea what I wanted it to be but after talking to Maggie for a few min she came up with an idea that I immidiately loved. She had me in the chair quickly. Everything was done professionally and to the gold standard. Shes gorgeous and great to have a conversation with. She was done quickly yet took the most time she could to ensure the best quality. I recently got a naval piercing here and I’m not too confident in it. The piercer didn’t measure the jewelry to my body, and ended up grabbing too much skin and piercing me too deep. She also didn’t specify what type of jewelry she was using such as size or material, and stated that the shop is still trying to get new jewelry and that it was my only option when I asked which colors were available again, which is different from what she said at the desk when I first asked. The same also happened to my friend, so I suggest finding someone who’s more experienced, I didn’t get to ask how long she’s been piercing, but from these incidents it seems that she’s a little inexperienced. Very nice girl, just needs some more experience.
