Tito did an amazing job as always on my Friday the 13th tats!! I also got my 3rd lobes pierced by Sam and she was so adamant in making sure that if I felt I ended up not liking the placement that I couldn’t hesitate to let her know because everyone there truly cares about their clients and their happiness!! 10/10 place they always go above and beyond with customer service 🤗

Today I added my newest tattoo done by the most awesome artist Dominic at Art Explosion Tattoos in Tampa near MacDill AFB. Just letting all know if you want great ink for a great price then Dominic is your man. Thank you for the beautiful artistry Dominic! I love it!

Andy was amazing. We did the you get what you get from the gum-ball machine. My bird was perfect. My bestfriends had Coco and another had Tito. We had a blast laughing at 11:30 am and had the best time and got amazing ink:

Coco did a kickass job on my tattoo! Highly recommend! He had such a great personality, super funny and easy to get along with! I guess I should also add how particular I wanted the sizing to be but he re-sized it probably 10 times with a smile on his face! We drove down from Ohio to get our tattoos done and Art Explosion they did not disappoint! My husband got a tattoo from Brad it looks so beautiful he is very pleased with the results! I got a tattoo from Dominic it is perfect it turned out just like I wanted. And My son got his 1st tattoo ever from Tito and he loves it! The artist are awesome and made us feel like family. Coco did an AMAZING job on both of my tattoos. One of them being my grandma’s signature, he was able to make an exact replica off of a faded card. The other tattoo has beautiful Arabic script in it and YES it is in real Arabic. He made sure that what I was putting on my body was accurate and what I wanted as his customer, despite false reviews that were made on here. He made the whole process chill, walked me through it step by step and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I plan on coming back to Coco for more work and I would 100% recommend him to anyone!

Got my eyebrow pierced by sky!! she did an amazing job and walked me through aftercare and explained everything she was doing. i felt totally at ease and it didnt even hurt!

Skylar was very professional and patient with my daughter and I. My daughter got her first nose piercing because her 16th birthday is coming up and she was very knowledgeable and patient. Skylar answered all my questions. The process was very quick and my daughter is extremely happy!

This place is soooo beyond good and so underrated. my friend gets her tattoos done here and not only is the art AMAZING however the people and the atmosphere is something not many shops have. one artist in particular coco is a really great artist and such an educated and sweet man. he immediately made my friend and i comfortable being first timers. everyone there is so great and welcoming, but coco is something else. if you need a tattoo or a piercing done for great prices check out this place and book with coco hes genuinely the best

I have gotten a couple Tattoos here now, my most recent one was done by Coco and its absolutely AMAZING!!! The colors are absolutely beautiful and his style is just breath taking. My favorite compliment is that it looks like a sticker, haha. Coco listens very intently and makes sure to provide what his clients is looking for. Very patient and very fun person to get a tattoo from! I very highly recommend checking out his work and consider working with him! I also definitely recommend the get what you get that he offers if youre looking for a spontaneous tattoo day 😉

We’re on a mini vacation and decided to get tattoos. We heard Art Explosion was the best, so we stopped by to see. Brad was AWESOME and so was his staff. They were all very personable and engaging. Brad told me that he was slow, but my tattoo didn’t take more than 30 minutes. The slow part was actually getting the tattoo together. But these guys are awesome. I would definitely recommend them. I’ve never left a review but wasCurious of the reviews and saw one that seemed way out of line for a valid reason. If you dislike your tattoo and it says something supposedly wrong why agree to getting it and not saying anything about it etc, you get to see the design before the tat is even started, but wanted to say all of the people in the shop do great work I’ve gotten all of my tattoos there with coco and he’s done beautiful work for me I would 100 percent recommend them to anyone and planning another tattoo as we speak.

I came here to cover up some self harm scars from a few years ago, it was a very meaningful tattoo for me and Brad, my artist, listened to every detail I wanted and perfectly executed it. My tattoo is absolutely beautiful, he brought beauty to such a painful area to me, my scars arent even noticable, the color is vibrant, and the lines really pop. This is a great spot with great people who really take their art seriously!

I want to give a big shout to Tito who did not only my tattoo but also my daughters tattoo. It was her first tattoo so of course her and I were both nervous… but Tito was very patient, understanding, clean and also a perfectionist making sure they were exactly where we wanted them and also making sure of the size. Oh my! Sam was absolutely amazing! I’ve had my nose pierced before but had to take it out and she re-pierced it so quick and smoothly! She explained aftercare and also gave her information so I could reach out if I had any issues or concerns. You won’t regret getting pierced by her!

The piercing artist, Sam, at Art Explosion is A-MA-ZING! She’s very knowledgeable and experienced in her craft, inviting and friendly in her personality, and the area is well kept and maintained. I have experience in using an autoclave and am required to know how to practice sterile technique, properly use/dispose of needles and surgical equipment in the nursing field, and I can attest to her practicing sterile technique while everything being used was sterilized, and the area clean. Sam was able to provide insight and answer my questions, all while being super easy to chat with. I felt like I’d known her for years. Im 40 and brought my 19&16 year old in. My kids loved her as much as I did which I think is pretty indicative of how great a personality and knowledge base she has!

Absolutely the best experience. Coco is pure fire. Best day and must beautiful tattoo thank you.

I got a nose piercing 2 months ago and AGAINST my piercers advice I attempted to change it out on my own… how hard can it be, right!? WRONG! I couldn’t get it apart, then I got it stuck inside my nostril. Then I pulled the whole thing through… stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I walked in and immediately Sam jumped to the rescue! Zero judgement or condescending tone as she helped me with finding a replacement and helped me put it back in. She was so sweet and understanding. I truly appreciated how amazing she was!

This shop is awesome. Friends and I spontaneously wanted a tattoo on a Sunday morning. We called almost every shop in town but no answer. This was the only shop that actually called us back as soon as they opened. We walked in and they took care of us ASAP! Josue was awesome and a blast to be around. The artwork is simply amazing and well done. They are good at walking you through the tattoo and/or piercing process. Tito is very thorough and detailed. He doesnt watch the clock, but rather focuses on the work to ensure it comes out the way the customer envisions. He was willing to work with me to create the ideal tattoo with the space available. Im already looking forward to the next appointment for him to touch up some old work. His ability to communicate his efforts to ensure the customer is comfortable is a huge plus. He definitely earned my trust with the work he put on my body.

As a 70 year old, I was delighted to get my very first tattoo at Art Explosion by Matthew Chivers. He was extremely patient helping me with the design which, incidentally, turned out to be a beautiful classic. The process was painless and his instructions for after-care worked perfectly. I plan to return to Matthew for a second tattoo and I would highly recommend Art Explosion to any tattoo newbie or veteran for their expertise and world-class service.

Damien is amazing I can’t say enough about him, Dominic does unbelievably good work and all the artist do great work. Such a chill shop, they make you feel welcomed and their prices are reasonable. Only shop I’ll go to.

The worst tattoo experience I have ever had! DO NOT GO. Im guessing they offer discounts to anyone who would write them a decent review on Google. The piercer, Damien, was an idiot and the tattoo artist was incompetent. They even tried to change the price on us after the dermals were said and done. The shop was short of an explosion and more of a dissapointment.

Brad did an excellent job on my matching penguin tattoos with my niece (it was her first one and he was gentle). And for never having done a heartless tattoo it was phenomenal and my friend loves it! He will be my new artist for years to come!

When I first went to Art explosion, I wasnt very impressed. I didnt feel that my artist took good care of me or spent enough time on my tattoo and did not want to go back. When the owner found out that I wasnt happy, he really went out of his way to ask me what was wrong and wanted me to come in and he would fix it himself and that the previous artist wasnt there anymore. He offered to put in some color and really hook me up. It really surprised me and he has shown some of the best customer service Ive ever seen from a tattoo shop. I will go back just to see him since he really cares.

Got my piercings done here. did not tell me proper aftercare. luckily i have had piercings before so ik how to take care out it. used too small of a bar for my industrial and ended up rejecting and my second lobe piercing looked fine but developed holes in the back. i cleaned both regularly idk if it is the quality of the jewelry but don’t recommend. also do not wear masks at all.

Very rude. Told me one date and scheduled a different date . I dont recommend . Called and asked for my deposit back and they refused. They say its military friendly but with my schedule it doesnt help when they tell you one thing and schedule another. All I wanted was a nice tattoo to remember my passing dog and this is what I had to deal with .

Matt Chivers is the man! I was visiting Tampaover the holidays from the Kansas City area, and got the itch to get some ink. From the drawing and designing, to the actual tattoo, Matt made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities and skills as an artist the whole way through. Very rude staff and the one guy with the glasses made my tattoo not even show up it so extremely faded and I got it on my wrist. Very uncomfortable experience they’re extremely rude and think that they’re entitled. Have some respect to paying customers that are respectful

After a long debate of if I was going to post this review it is final. Seeing the owner of this store and his work I don’t think a customer should attend this place or get the art permanently tattooed on their body. I’ve seen work that was messed up HORRIBLY and the only response to this tragic incident was “oops oh well”. Doing my own research I came across a review from an person stating those distaste of a botch tattoo incident and the owner call her a “fat ass” and refused a refund over BAD WORK! This is truly sad due to the simple fact that now there is a horrible work done on someone skin forever. DISGUSTING! I highly discouraged ANYONE from attending.

I was a walk-in and Tito fit me in his schedule and gave me the tattoo I wanted and needed. He was clean, gentle, quick and careful! Thank you so much. Ill be back for my next piece.

Got my first tattoo here the guy that did it was very nice and understanding how nervous I was.My kids got there here in tampa Florida. It didnt hurt like i thought it would it didnt hurt at all.I recommend art explosion very highly.
