I stopped in here to get a piercing on a whim. They take walk-ins, & the shop is very clean & tidy! Shelby did my piercing & was communicative with me about my wants for it which helped me get a piercing I really love. Their prices are competitive as well, they are priced for you to come back & want more! As a tattoo addict, this is great to see. I highly recommend coming here for your piercing or tattoo needs, I will be back!!

I absolutely loved it here! the vibe was immaculate and the tattoos are so clean and very pretty! I got a flash tat for the 13th and came back today, the 14th, to get another tattoo.I got Xavier for my tat today and it is absolutely gorgeous! I came from the Friday 13th tattoos at lost boys disappointed at how my tattoo came out unfinished and rushed through. My fiancé was pissed and called this tattoo shop, skin science , hoping to fill us in and fix my issue. The lady cricket was super sweet and asked me to come in and to their surprise were shocked that lost boys, one of the big tattoo shops, had rushed my tattoo. Xavier did an amazing job fixing my tattoo that I was ashamed and disappointed of. I am so very thankful and happy that they were able to fix everything I would definitely come back to their shop instead

We went for our 10-year anniversary to get matching tattoos, and Xavier did such a great job. You could tell he really loves what he does and cares about making sure you have a great experience. The shop had such a nice atmosphere and really made us feel comfortable, and everyone was so nice. We will for sure be back in the future.

Got Friday the 13th tattoos and piercings. Love that they extended the deals through the weekend. The shop was super cute. Loved the vibes. Everyone working there was super nice, patient, and seemed to really care for their customers. The piercer was so nice and was really good at what she does. So patient with me too. I was surprised they dont make you pay for the jewelry on top of the piercing price like most shops do. They use surgical steel for the piercings which isnt my favorite, but Ill take it over the normal crazy high prices for jewelry.Definitely will be returning!

Pinky did my Medusa piercing! They were so welcoming, and made the whole experience super easy. They were super patient with my anxieties, and made the piercing super seamless. The other employees that greeted us, and helped with the paperwork were so nice too! Their environment was super sterile, and had awesome vibes as well. Prices were so so nice too! Highly recommend! Love this place, the vibes are impeccable and they make you feel right at home. Had some great conversations while getting blasted. Their work is clean and affordable all around which is so nice. The environment over all is absolutely amazing and so welcoming! I came for a cover up and was not disappointed! Kenny is very professional and light handed as he could be on a sensitive part of the body! He was very attentive to my comfortability and made sure any questions or concerns about how my tattoo would look or feel was answered. 10/10 you should get a piece from him!

If you want piercings done professionally, please for the love of God do not go here! I made the awful mistake of going here Instead of Tyler TX Premier Piercing and Tattoo, because they were closed when I got there. I should have just waited and came back another day. I just wanted basic earlobe piercings and Skin Science screwed me over so bad, my left piercing literally drooped down because they messed up the angle, and the other side was pierced too low. They do not measure, they do not sterilize their tools and jewelry, they are not thorough explaining aftercare. They have no idea what they are doing!! And the price was dirt cheap, very sketchy. If you want a proper experience, be patient. Spend a little more money and go see Dylan at Tyler TX Premier Piercing and Tattoo. He knows exactly what hes doing and does the job right, you will not be disappointed like I was with Skin Science.

I loved the atmosphere! My friend and I went to get piercings and had an amazing time. Mr. Tiny daggers, our piercer, really was welcoming and informative. Even though my friend and I walked in close to their closing time they were all very friendly and polite towards us. Mr tiny daggers made sure to take his time and made sure that my friend and I were happy with the placing and that the piercings were even and precise. I really appreciated this because my last piercer did not make both of my lobes were even. Mr tiny daggers also helped make an illusion so that my last piercers mis pierce look more aligned. Overall this place was so nice the atmosphere, cleanliness and even pricing makes me want to continue coming back to skin science!

☆Update: 5/25/25☆Just got my leg piece finished by Nikki and she did such a WONDERFUL job! The tattoo turned out beautifully and exceeded expectations. Please visit the shop to set up an appointment with Nikki, you will NOT be disappointed!My mom and I went there today to get tattoos. Josh was very professional while keeping the mood light and fun. The tattoos came out beautiful! We would recommend anyone to come here!

Its was an amazing experience. They where able to give me the upper belly piercing I wanted! They looked at my belly and really made my crooked bellybutton have a straight, lined up piercing. They also looked at my other piercings and gave me advice on how to clean them better. 10/10 experience, would recommend, would go again! 100%! Ps Shelby and Cricket where amazing, love them so much! I went with some friends on Friday the 13th to get some tattoos, and had the most awesome experience! When they extended their sale for the weekend, we went back again to get another on sunday. This will definitely be my regular shop now, and Xavier will be my regular artist!

Absolutely love this establishment! It’s the cleanest and most welcoming piercing and tattoo place in Tyler! “Mr. Tiny Daggers” pierced mine and my daughter’s 2nd lobes and my friend’s rooks. They were also very patient and sweet to my little girl even though she backed out of getting her ears pierced at the last second 3 times. Very reasonably priced as well. I’ll definitely be back!

Just got done with my Friday the 13th Flash Tattoo and Grace did amazing! I barely felt any pain. She was so nice and made sure I was comfortable during the session especially since I was getting my tattoo done on my chest. The entire staff was friendly and professional.

Best tattoo experience I’ve come across so far. Artist gave me exactly what I wanted and did even better than reference picture took his time and gave great attention to detail also great at anime art which is hard to find in our area.10/10 experience I will be back again for more!

I came here for my first tattoo in January and it was the BEST experience I could have asked for. I was incredibly nervous, but Josh talked me through the entire process, answered all my questions, and took every request seriously. I’ve gotten another tattoo out of state since then, and it really made me appreciate how excellent my time at Skin Science was, both in the quality of the tattoo and the communication and kindness of the artists. I’m not sure if Josh (@JuiceBoxJoshTattoo on Instagram) is here full-time, but I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks guys!

Do NOT go to this place for a piercing! Their piercer isn’t professionally trained and they pay for good reviews. I got snake bites done here and they were pierced completely incorrectly, and I had to get them redone at my regular piercer out of state. They were pierced through my lip line and were asymmetrical. He also did not give me proper aftercare instructions.

Pinky Sherri Mumphrey was so nice she explained everything she was doing and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone

Very pleasant vibe and they make sure that you are comfortable, good music, good vibe. Shelby was awesome and cricket was so sweet tapping my legs to distract me as well. Got my industrial done and I’ve gotten it before and was so scared because the pain but this time was so fast I didn’t even realize we were done. They make sure that you are happy with measurements and don’t pressure you to like what they do but rather do what YOU want them to DO. Will definitely be returning for more.

Shelby was very accurate and confident in his work. He made me feel very comfortable. He asked the right questions and made sure my piercing was precise. He checked up on me during the process. I recommend him for piercings!!! He told me everything he was doing every step of the way. All in all, Shelby is awesome!

My friends and I decided to make a pact and all get our nips pierced! We went to another shop first and were just very uncomfortable with the vibes in the shop (not gonna name because it was a personal feeling to us and I don’t want to bash). ANYWAY we called and they were gonna close early because Friday the 13th was the night before and they worked very hard and very late that night, but called us back and said to go ahead and stop by and they would take care of us before they closed!! We got there and Pinky was so much fun and so sweet! We had a blast just talking and laughing with her and she made things feel so calm and relaxed the entire time! I will always recommend these guys and specifically Pinky for anyone who wants a piercing!

Josh is amazing! He got us in quick and his work is awesome. Takes a lot for two girls to be comfortable in a tattoo shop alone and yet we had absolutely no problems!

I meant to write this and post it yesterday but I got distracted. 😅 So when we first got to Skin science and walked through the door I instantly loved the vibe. Me, My daughter and my husband all wanted a piercing. My daughter and I wanted our right nostrils done and my husband wanted his bridge done. The cleanliness was immaculate and the decorations just screamed nostalgia. Shelby greeted us immediately and I knew we were going to have a great time at this shop. He was very knowledgeable and communicative of the process that he used for piercing. He spent extra time making sure the placement of all of our piercings were to our liking and fit with our anatomical structure. He was very focused on cleanliness and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. 100% no worries from any of us about cross contamination from ours or any previous piercings he may have done prior to us. The piercing process was very smooth. I had a prior piercing in my nostril that had made scar tissue. That didnt cause any issues for him though. He got the needle through and jewelry in quickly. The pain was manageable considering the scar tissue and he checked on me multiple times and never rushed me to move out of the seat until I felt comfortable to do so. He did the same for my daughter and husband. Even though we have a lot of experience with piercings he didnt assume we would automatically know about aftercare and made sure to go over it with us before we leftm We had really good conversations while we were all getting decorated and it made us feel at home and like we were welcome there as old friends. The pricing was perfect as well. We will definitely be coming back for more piercings from Shelby. Thank you so much for such a great experience! Hope to see you again soon and getting the opportunity to meet the rest of the crew!

I went with a friend to get a piercing and was very impressed with the whole experience! I noticed that they do walk-ins so I decided to get an addition myself! This is a super friendly environment I felt very welcome and at ease! The shop was super clean and a very cool vibes. The owner Cricket was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met I highly recommend this shop! I’m going to be getting a tattoo next! Great job team!!

Shelby is the guy who pierced my nose and both my helixes! He did a beautiful job and made me and my friends feel so welcomed!!!! The environment was good, the service was great, and the piercer himself was phenomenal. Before each piercing he made sure we were on the same page and he talked me through everything he was doing as he was doing it. Went in this evening for flash art special with Xavier for $40, first time in the shop. Clean and professional shop and staff, however also personable. Xavier himself has a very light touch while working, I fell asleep while he worked. Highly recommend you come in and check them out.

The shop had good reviews so I trusted them, but do not be fooled.Pinky helped me out and fixed my piercing! She explained what was wrong and walked me through the whole process and made me feel so comfortable. The whole process was quick. I was in and out.GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRICES! They only take Cashapp, Venmo, Paypall and cash payments so when you come be prepared for that!I have nothing bad to say about Skin Science. They are absolutely amazing! We visited Skin Science to get my nose pierced and both of my daughters’ 2nd holes on their ear lobes. These people are so welcoming and hospitable. One of my daughters got overwhelmed and cried and they pulled out all the stops to cheer her up. Our peircer, Shelby, was the bomb! Everything thing was clean, the atmosphere was awesome, and the vibes were immaculate! Just talking to Shelby felt like we were visiting an old friend, no awkwardness at all! My mother and I both got our noses done and my stepdad got his bridge. We can all testify that the pain was manageable and Shelby was gentle. Reasonable prices will definitely bring us back!

The piercer was very friendly, I came in right before close on New Years Eve and he didnt seem to mind at all. He was very amicable and made the experience enjoyable. Got both of my ears pierced here and it was a pretty fast process. Would recommend. Prices are reasonable too.

Joshua gave me a tattoo and got me in almost immediately a week ago. He was very cordial and professional throughout the entire process.I’m very pleased with both the quality of my new tattoo and the manner in which the transactional process was handled. Didnt know it was a new shop when we pulled up, we are from out of town, shop looked well established and very clean. We had Josh hook my niece up for her first tattoo, she gave him an idea and he ran with it. While we were sitting waiting me and the wife decided to get something too, we just picked it off a flash since we were walking ins. Cody hooked us up while Josh finished up. Had a nipple piercing done by Cody cause no one else had the confidence to do them cause unfortunately mine are inverted and damaged from breast feeding. He did amazing unfortunately I did swell more than anticipated so I went in for a larger bar. When I went back Cody was no longer there and they wouldnt tell me where he went. Josh made me feel like a complete inconvenience and was very rude. They advertise Piercings but for some reason had no jewelry, was told to get my own. So I go buy my own and then tells me I bought the wrong size and that my only option is to stretch them to the bigger size. It was extremely painful and Josh was just irritated about him having to do it. I later talked to other piercers when they got badly infected and found out this was extremely wrong. NEVER GO HERE

My daughter and I went today to get tattoos. Josh was the artist we had. He made the experience interesting and fun. The tattoos were above and beyond what we were expecting! We would highly recommend people going here.

I just wanna say it was my very 1st time coming into the shop but I will be back again they really care about people really. I had just minutes before been released from the hospital for heart failure issues and covered in bruises from my stay only to find out my 16 year old daughter had pierced her nose and lost the stud because it didn’t fit her nose so I swing by there to see if they had anything that would fit her situation the lady was so helpful they didn’t take bank cards so I was gonna have to leave in middle of school traffic then return for payment but I was so dizzy and weak I wasn’t sure I could do it btw was driving myself home had no one else. She learned what had happened to me and saw the condition I was in and told me just take it please go home and get some rest just take care of yourself…. That was an angel at that counter that day I’m sure , thank you again yall are wonderful and I’ll be back to get yall to help me on my new sleeve tattoo too.

My daughter had been wanting a nose piercing for a while now. Today we decided to go to the Skin Science Tattoo location and we dont regret doing so. Our first impression upon entering this business was very pleasant. The place was very clean and organized and it cannot be said how friendly they were to welcome us. They made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service my daughter received was exceptional and she was delighted with her new nose piercing. We would definitely visit this location again for any future piercing or tattoo services. I also plan to take my five-month-old granddaughter to get her first earrings since they offer piercings for children as well.

This place is that lens at work, visit them and they will not regret it
