Received a piercing with some friends for her birthday. They were clean and owner was nice and informative. She doesnt pierce the inside of the mouth so she had someone do my smiley. I got it done and I immediately knew it was crooked, he told me give it time. Called back two weeks later and he said I mean I dont know what to say because the needle is straight and goes right through, but take it out and give it 2 weeks to close and Ill repierce it at no cost. I go back two weeks later and meet the husband who agrees it is crooked, but stated he told us he needed to get his mind right, so he is out for now. I asked what I should do and instead of standing behind their business and making it right he explained Im not sure what to tell you because we dont know how long hell be out. This was the first visit and last time. He was nice about it, but did not offer any solutions. Again, they were nice, clean and quick, but now I will have to go through the re-piercing and healing phase all over again.

I have been to this shop several times. Its always clean and everyone is friendly and professional. I have had several piercings done here and had no issues with any of them. Even months after a piercing I can stop by the shop or call for answers of any questions I may have. I have recommended others and they have continued to go back time and time again.I highly recommend hypnotique ink for all your tattoos and piercings!

I got my nose piercing done on 12/21/23, the day before my 51st birthday… I think I was going through a midlife crisis. Best decision ever. Marilyn was so professional, she answered all the questions that I had, even held my hand before and after. It was fast and easy. I am definitely going back when I decide in my next piercing.

To note, customer service was lovely. I got my belly pierced and we didn’t go through a consultation. the piercing happened so quickly, i wish the consultation took place because i feel like my piercing is crooked and slanted to the side. i did enjoy the customer service though! i just wish there was more time being taken to carefully go through the process.

Their listing on Google says that the shop is open today and the gate is locked at 2:56pm. My daughters and I drove from Oxon Hill to get Mothers day piercings. I dont see any special times posted for Mothers day and IG stories dont do me any good if its gone in 24hrs.

My husband and I came in for piercings and they were absolutely amazing. We called in to asked if they had a specific type of piercing and the front desk person who helped us out was very friendly and helpful! The price of the piercings are very reasonable and the person who did our piercings was amazing! Her name is Marilyn and she made us feel so welcomed. In fact we actually came back to get some cute flash tattoos from them. Dex helped us out and his works are stunning. We were able to talk more to him and see more of his work and are coming back for individual pieces. Highly recommend everyone to check this place and the artists out. Tranquil atmosphere and amazing vibes.

I’ve been coming here since 2019 when I moved to Maryland and I absolutely LOVE this place! Great atmosphere and outstanding customer service. This place makes you feel like family and I cannot recommend Brent and Marilyn enough as a tattoo artist and piercer!

The place was chill and relax. Definitely a good vibe. Good people and good conversations. Tariq did my tattoo and he did great. He talked to me the whole time and checked on me during the session. Overall great definitely going back again.

I came in around 11:50 to get a tattoo before work from their Valentine’s Day flash sale. I was checked in, tattoo picked out, paid and in a chair by 11:58 (most of that time was me changing what design I originally wanted). All in all it was a great experience, will definitely be coming back, sale or not. I was out of the door by 12:05 and I am in love with my tattoo!! I wish I knew how to post a picture to show you all.

Marilyn pierced my second lobes and my 6 yr old daughters first lobes and she went above and beyond putting my daughters nerves at ease! i will only ever go to her! naomi was so comfortable after she said she wants her second lobes done! WE LOVE MARILYN 🤗💕

I got a neck tattoo reworked and I brought a picture of what I wanted and they did the exact opposite, the miscommunication really turned me off to this shop and I don’t feel like I had a good experience, the fact that I had to pay before a stencil was put on my skin and showed to me should’ve told me not to follow through.

Highly recommend Tattoos by D as a tattoo artist. I put a deposit down months ago and due to my own schedule conflicts just now got the first session of my piece complete. He has been super flexible and communicative with my schedule and tattoo ideas. The session was super chill and he made sure I was doing alright throughout the session. The calf is spicy but he’s quick and does an incredible job. Can’t wait for the second session to finish it out and the rest of the work I will definitely trust him with in the future.

I went in to get a nostril piercing. Even without an appointment I was seen quickly. The piercer was friendly and explained aftercare as well as suggested which ring would be best to begin with. I’m thinking of getting a daith piercing. If I do, I know exactly where to go!

Brent was amazing for my piercing! I’ve had a lot of piercings and had to get one of my nipple piercings redone (since it closed). She was super quick and patient! I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Brent!! They either take cash or cash app :) Also, the receptionist (sorry if your role is different, but she helped me with checking in, paperwork and payment & I didn’t catch her name), but she was very nice as well. Thanks for a great experience!!

Brent did an absolutely amazing job on my cover up. Shop is clean, customer service is excellent. The owners are absolutely amazing people.

Now i’m not going to outright say not to go here, but i will say if you’re looking for a piercing that isn’t very simple (bridge, for example) i would look for a different place. i’m not sure if the piercer here is certified through the APP or not, i’ll be honest i haven’t checked, but there were many red flags i should’ve taken.i went to go get my bridge pierced with a friend of mine yesterday, and theirs turned out phenomenal! both nostril piercings are symmetrical, she was super fast about it too. i had previously gotten an amazing vertical labret piercing about a year ago here, so i assumed it would be a good idea to go to someone i was familiar with at least in the slightest. it was affordable.the first red flag i should’ve seen was the fact that she took out a curved barbell the same size as my vertical labret barbell for my nose bridge. i thought that was odd, because my nose bridge is kind of wide and i’d never seen a bridge done with a curved barbell before. so i asked for a straight bar that was a little longer, because i wasn’t sure if i would swell a bunch or not while healing. she gave me that.the second red flag I should’ve taken was the fact that she did not check if I had the anatomy at all for this piercing. nose bridge piercings are anatomy specific, and as far as I know, it’s pretty normal for piercers to check.she pierced me, and it was crooked. this is no fault of her own, but I have severe social anxiety, and there were strangers in the room, so I was terrified of saying anything. i’m not going to request money back as my friend paid for it and i can pay them back myself, i just thought this would be something of importance i should share, as she didn’t really seem like she thought it was as wrong as i did.her work is amazing when it comes to more simple, less anatomy-specific piercings. i love my vertical labret. i can’t personally speak for the tattoo artists because i’ve never gotten a tattoo from them, but i’ve never heard anything but praise. i’m sure this is an amazing place, but i won’t be returning. i took the jewelry out as soon as possible and am taking care of it to avoid any damage. hope i don’t scar too bad!edit: i have seen the reply. yes, you did ask multiple times if i wanted a smaller bar. i will stand firm on the fact that i did not, because the bar was not the problem. the placement was the problem. the bar would’ve looked a little funny but i just wanted it as a precaution for the healing process. again, the bar is not the problem, the placement is.A curved barbell might be traditional for a bridge piercing, but I have personally never seen that done. so do excuse my lack of knowledge on the specific topic.to clarify, this isn’t malicious. your work is amazing! this was one experience that wasn’t great unfortunately. others might return to try again, but i’ll be going through the APP just to be entirely sure it’ll be what i want it to. nothing against this place or the piercer at all! this stuff happens and it’s a risk i was willing to take.if you’d like to talk further in regards to what went wrong, i’m sure we can get in contact.

10 out of 10 recommend dex (@geek_tats) I’ve been getting tattooed by dex for a sit a year now, he’s completed my whole right sleeve including my hand. Great line work great work in general and is great on prices. They say once you find the right artist you stay with them!! Came to this shop since he recently located here and the shop its self is also nice! But like I said before 5 stars I appreciate dex and all the work he’s done!

Had an awesome experience with our artist Virtuoso!!! He was SO down to earth and had a great vibe. Virtuoso made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. Plus he made sure we left happy with our tattoos! By far the best customer service I have received in a shop. Will visit him again when we come back to Maryland.

Listen when I came in here I just expected to get a septum piercing. The owner of this shop is a PHENOMENAL Women. She is a person I could be around for hours and hours . Her heart is pure and she’s has such a great presence. My piercing was quick and she made me feel very comfortable she made sure she prepped me so that I wasn’t anxious which was a plus for me. I will be returning again not just for her services I just want to sit in her presence again. Thank you Momma it was a pleasure❤️

My artist was Tariq. He killed it. He greeted us at the door with a smile, welcomed us into his office, and got straight to work, moving about the room with professionalism. The artwork came out amazing! He took my idea and put his own creative spin on it, resulting in a 5 out of 5 star rating in my books

I really hate that I have to make this , but I’ve been here twice to get my tattoos done & never had any issues . So I came to get a tattoo done today , mind you my appt got pushed back TWICE because of her having something else to do , or she was still tattooing somebody else. I came in early and waited till my time & SAT for 2 hours knowing that I had a set appointment why not reschedule?? If you weren’t gonna be done. I was being considerate enough of somebody else’s tattoo but I sat and waited without any given information…. Then on TOP of that the other person finally got done 2 hours after my time, the artist wanted to go take a smoke break& come back high and still tattoo me. Very unprofessional & inconsiderate. Lucky enough she knew she was wrong and gave me my money back , but still.

Momma did a great job re-doing my nose piercing that another shop did wrong. Service was second to none!! Everyone was great to deal with from the start to finish..Showed them a tat that was done wrong and will be re-doing it as well. What i love about them is that they never criticize the other shops but yet said “We will do out best to make it look the way is suppose to be like” That’s a great way to do business and show the companionship in there art. Although this post is a month over due. My spirit won’t let me rest until I placed a review on this amazing place. We just happened to be on vacation shopping for shoes but was led to a beautiful soul. The owner of this location warms my heart with her passion for people, her staff, and others that work in the mall. She makes it a safe place for expression of all sorts. The artists are professionally and passionately skilled. She takes body art to another level. She doesn’t advertise everything at her shop and her reason simply was “if you came here, then you are meant to be here” that’s exactly how we felt. Great place and we appreciate you and the Dalmatian Jasper- all the way from Savannah, GA.

I want to get a tattoo done one problem with this place it is not handicap asible to bad they are not on the ground floor so people who have wheelchairs can get one

It was a great experience for me. Got a tattoo by the owner and he was very friendly and professional. I walked in, no appointment at the time needed. He didnt try to hijack my idea . Ive met artists that try to put a spin that caters to what THEY like, but not this time. Which I definitely appreciate. The tattoo came out ten times better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I got a small tat about two weeks ago from a new artist there named Jordan. He was friendly and accommodating. He said he enjoys working there and that it feels like family. The energy was great from everyone that floared by his station. I highly recommend this spot!

They took me in as a walk in appointment for the day I got very lucky to come in and for them to have availability but they looked out for me and gave me the tattoo that I envisioned of for my first one. It wasn’t a easy piece to do and their creativity and teamwork helped make my vision come to life. I went to get my septum pierced by a woman. The shop itself seemed ok, but my experience was not. My piercer’s mask kept falling down on her face because it was obviously not her size. Also, she did not pierce me in the “sweet spot”, where it is traditionally done, so the piercing was more painful than it should have been. It was too low also! Last, she was touching on things with her hands, which did not look very clean. She was nice enough though, not rude or anything. I would not go back...bad experience

Tattoo wise, everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kory did my tat (which was my first one) and I am very happy with the outcome and experience itself. They really make you feel like family here. The one issue I did have regards the nose piercing I got. Mainly due to its size, I was expecting a smaller stud than the one I got and i’m not really a fan of how it looks. Also, the piercer himself fumbled around a lot while putting it in.EDIT: lowering my rating mainly because of how my tattoo healed. there was.a blowout due to the artist putting the needle too deep in my skin. since the design was so simple, this really disappoints me. i’ve gotten other tattoos since then done by another artist that have healed perfectly.

I came in for a tattoo. Everyone was nice and professionally but my tattoo artist was the best. His name is Brent. He kept talking to me to keep my mind off of the pain of the needle. Good conversation. They only thing is that they didnt have the shade of the color that I wanted, I wish it was darker. Other than that, I am completely pleased. Will be back in the future.

Only one staff member was friendly and that was the artist who did my tattoo; he was very friendly and engaging and that’s the reason for the two stars. My actual tattoo looks like a four year old did them, worst tattoo I’ve ever gotten. I see why they wanted my tip upfront!

We came here to have my 8-year-old daughters ears pierced, as well as mine. (Another lobe piercing. Ya know. For moral support) They treated us soooooo well! My daughter, although nervous, felt so comfortable with the young lady who did the piercings! The whole staff was super chill and seemed not to mind my rowdy bunch. (Me, my husband, and our four kids.) When we were done, we walked to the front and my husband is discussing getting a tattoo drawn up with one of the artists! The last time he got any ink was 12 years ago. 🤦🏿‍♀️ Long story short, he walked out with one of the impressive body ink designs Ive seen!The whole place is super cool, clean, the staff is professional, kind, friendly...etc. When my youngest daughter is ready to get her ears pierced, well be here. If I ever get another tatt (last one I got was over a decade ago), Ill be here. If you or anyone you know wants a quick and relatively pain-free piercing and/or a tatt, come here. 5/5 ⭐

Went today for friday the 13th tattoos and had Kiana. She was so nice and really cool. She made sure the lines were perfect and it resulted in some of the cleanest line work ive ever seen! at the end she gave my little nephew a matching tattoo to mine and it was really thoughtful. He wanted me to say she is so nice I want her to tattoo me when Im older

I originally went in to try to save my nose piercing, but ended up getting the other side pierced instead. After less than a week, I had to go to another place to try to change the jewelry since the one I got from here kept sliding out and they gave me a discount for a new piercing, even though they werent the ones who did the initial piercing, because 1. The jewelry the hypnotique piercer used was bioplast and they told me its for short term use, not starter jewelry and 2. It was too far back and it wasnt long enough. I had actually asked for it to be up a bit more but was told it would show. The place was friendly so Im disappointed that it ended up like this.

I had called a day in advance and they told me they only did walk-ins for piercings, i asked what would be a good time, they said any. I came in at 1:30pm the next day and they told me the piercer wasn’t there and to come back at 3. I came back and then they told me she wouldn’t be there at all today and said “call next time before showing up” completely unprofessional!!

I lovee this place!!! I got my nose pierced a few months ago and it healed perfectly (with the right cleaning of course) The jewelry the employee used was great. I also plan on coming back many times in the future!

Second bad experience. Don’t go here. It’s always a “family emergency” when I go to get a piercing. They also sat on my tattoo and caused an infection at the other location. Don’t bother responding.

Great tattoo by Malik but waaaaay over priced. They asked me my budget, then charged me that amount for 1 forearm tattoo, not multiples. I expected to pay between 250-350 for this piece.

I paid $120 for the butterfly with color by Kiana . It’s suppose to be a yellow butterfly. I got it done in august and still not one lick of yellow in my tattoo. I wasted my money , !!!!

I went in looking to get something basic. Came out with a Tattoo I wanted and some work brought back to life and a new piercing. I’m going back to get some more work done. I’ve found my new tattoo artist.

Called ahead of time and asked about a dermal piercing, letting them know Im on the way and when I got there they told me they didnt have the jewelry in stock to do the piecing!
