Ink Jam has a very friendly and welcoming environment! It’s a great place to go for a tattoo! I had the privilege of being tattooed by artist Janella Mele with some of her original designs. Her work is unique and incredibly intricate and detailed. Great if you’re looking for something with fine lines, stippling or just the coolest organic monster shapes you can imagine! I’m very happy with my little monster friends and I hope to get more in the future. I get compliments on them constantly and am constantly recommending Janella and Ink Jam. Photos are them after five months healing. Ink Jam is a very professional, comfy place to get a tattoo with talented and friendly artists.

This is my second time getting a tattoo here and I will be coming back shortly! Janella did 3 tattoos in one session and made it so easy. I recently got my first tattoo from Janella at Ink Jam, and I could not be happier with the experience. I felt comfortable with her immediately, and she took the design idea I had and made adjustments and suggestions that I loved. Her room is cheerful with pink walls and plenty of art to look at, and awesome music to listen to -- she mentioned she makes her own playlist, so you know she is attentive to detail! Her workspace was clean and organized, and she checked in with me frequently during the process. A few hours in, I began to feel like I might faint (I dont think this is common for getting a tattoo, just something I can be prone to when my blood sugar drops). Janella got me a snack, a wet paper towel, and even offered to run to the store to get me anything else I might need. She offered to finish the tattoo at another time, but I was really hoping to get it done that day. So she arranged her chair so that I could lie down for the rest of my tattoo and seemed happy to do it even though I could see that it made it harder for her to reach the sides of my arm. There is already a certain trust you need to have when someone etches something into your skin permanently, but anyone who has fainted knows it can leave you feeling really vulnerable, and I was so comforted to be in good hands. As for the tattoo: it is absolutely beautiful - better than I even imagined it. I am thrilled to have this art on me. I have already had strangers complimenting me on it. Thank you Janella!

I just got a tattoo done at InkJam with Janella in May. I have some very small flash pieces but considered this one to be my first real tattoo and was really excited for it. Janella made the process really great- she created a beautiful design, was receptive to my input and ideas throughout the process, and her line work was fantastic- Ive already gotten so many compliments, including from friends who are looking at her work now too! I highly recommend and will be back.

I recently went to Ink Jam to get my first tattoo. Jim and Janella were very welcoming when I came in for my consultation appointment. I told them what I wanted and was told that Janella would be the best artist for the design I wanted (an abstract running figure). I can tell you that she was most definitely was the right artist for me. She gave some suggestions at consultation, and I returned a couple of weeks later to get the tattoo. She clearly put the thought into sketching out some of her ideas and showing me several options on how the tattoo could be executed. She really took creative liberty to add her style to my tattoo and i am very thankful for that - creative liberty is what really makes a tattoo stand out. I would recommend this tattoo studio in a heartbeat, they really listen to you and are great at what they do. Seems like they have a devoted clientele and I can see why. Ive come here twice to be inked by Janella Mele, and Ill be coming back soon to get more! Janella is talented, personable, and professional. Her line work is impeccable and the two Ive gotten from her have healed so crisp. Shes very easy to work with and communicative. Since I found her, shes now my regular artist that I go to for all my work. One thing that I think sets her apart from other artists is that shes trauma informed. Shes very respectful and mindful in how she interacts with my body. Im soooo thankful that Ive found Janella.

Ive gotten a total of 7 large tattoos here over the last four years! This is the best tattoo shop Ive been to, hands down!! Jim does amazing work and Im always extremely happy at how well the tattoos came out! Everytime Im out, theres always someone who comments on how great my tattoos are and ask where I got them done. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My artist Janella took a lot of time with me figuring out the size of the font and placement. She’s an amazing artist, great line work. But I can’t stress enough how talented of an artist she is. If you want line work or lettering she’ll kill it but do not sleep on the amazing artistic pieces she can do as well.

I absolutely love this place! I’m fairly new to Massachusetts and have not had great luck finding a good shop. I stopped in and talked to Jim one day. He was so nice and helpful with ideas for helping me fix a tattoo that I got elsewhere and was so disappointed in.I made an appointment with Jim. He had sketched up at design to fix the old tattoo. I had the amazing opportunity to work with Janella Mele on this piece. I’ve been obsessed with Kiki’s delivery service and everything Miyazaki since I was a kid. She did such an excellent job!!! I wanted to get my first tattoo and went to ink jam. Jim was super friendly and helpful in getting me all the info I needed and arranged for me to meet up with Janella who works there with him for a full consult. Janella was great getting things setup and was really responsive to make sure I felt taken care of and happy before settling on things. Day of Janella made sure I was comfortable and made the whole process a breeze. The results were great, and she even tweaked things at the end to make sure things were 100% perfect. Also, one of the best rated. And by my personal experience, with Jim himself, he has tattooed over 50% of my body, with more than an excellent outcome, each and every single session. Along with many friends I have recommended, that is way too many to even list. Jim has run many special charity events for veterans, especially for the United States Marine Corps! I love this tattoo studio! It’s a warm and comfortable environment, and I quickly felt at home. Both Jim and Janella are incredibly talented and disciplined artists. I got my tattoo from Janella, who is wildly skilled. The tattoo is of one of her drawings, and when I saw it I decided I wanted that instead of my own idea. It has healed up great and I’m glad I’ll have it forever. This will see a lot of sun, so we already have a plan for how to build on it over time to keep it evolving and beautiful, and to account for how the lines may change over the years, though it hasn’t changed at all in the 6 months I’ve had it.It was my first tattoo, and she made me feel much more secure in expressing what I wanted and what concerns I had. We talked about size, placement, and orientation and she made excellent suggestions for small changes and explained her reasoning. She communicated in a way that made it easier for me to understand, so I went with her advice, and I’m so glad I did. I don’t think that I would be anywhere near as happy with what I thought I had wanted. I’ve been back a few times since then to plan out more (and much larger) tattoos with her.Her room, like the rest of the shop, is very clean, and she took plenty of time to make sure I’d be comfortable sitting for as long as she needed. She worked very diligently and professionally, fast but not at all rushed, and maintained a great focus. She has a very gentle touch when it comes time to stretch the skin and start in with the needle.She’s easy to talk with, but also very easy to sit quietly with, which I really appreciate. I got to spend a lot of the time looking at the couple of boards in her room where she displays drawings of her previous tattoos, and I was able to flip through one of her portfolios as well. Her style is unlike anything I’ve seen, and I’m getting more tattoos of her originals from her very soon.

I was in to see Jim this past October. I had brought him a picture of a Tattoo my father currently has on his arm. I wanted that exact tattoo but also drawn into something that would be unique to me. Jim did the most wonderful memorial tattoo for my sister and I on my ribcage. He was so meticulous and made the experience so special by taking his time assisting us with our design ideas and sketches, and his steady hand made for a great experience on such a sensitive area to be tattooed. I came back to him for a touch up on an upper back tattoo I got somewhere else, and he made it look 10000000x better! I returned a third time for a foot tattoo. I live across the country now, but for my next tattoo when i visit family i’ll be back to get it from Jim at Ink Jam! Honestly- he’s the best.

Jim is great. He helped me to fine tune the tattoo Ive been dreaming of and then went beyond to customize and make it unique. I love it. Its a dragon that goes over my shoulder looking at me and down my back. He also customized a barbed wire bracelet with an ankh hanging down. The shading on both give the tattos dimension and depth.I recommend him and his work.

Highly recommend InkJam Tattoo-Jim is the best tattooist that I have dealt with. I have been seeing Jim once a month for about a year and a 1/2 and there isn’t one negative thing I can say. Shop is clean, friendly and prices are beyond reasonable. Hes been at this a long time and the experience that he has is not something you can easily find.

I had my 2nd tattoo done at Ink Jam this past weekend and walked away just as happy as I did when I Jim did my first tattoo 3 years ago. Jim and his staff are professional, friendly and courteous in all that they do. Jim is a true artist who loves doing his work. While he is the pro, he was more than willing to listen to my suggestions and we discussed all the work he was going to do before he started. He even did some touch up work to freshen up the tattoo he did for me earlier. I highly recommend Ink Jam for both the way the shop is run and certainly for the professionalism and talent that Jim has.

Ink jam tattoo studio is amazing. Jim is a great dude, he makes you feel welcome the second you walk in the door. Everyone there is so nice and they do a really good job. When the time came he put the stencils on my skin, and nailed it first try. The artwork he drew up was exactly what i wanted. Everything flowed well.The shop is very clean. I felt safe. Jim knows his stuff and i was confident letting him tattoo me. The tattoo came out perfect. Ive been staring at it since i got it and i cant find a single flaw. Everyone loves it, even my mother. If you want a beautiful piece of art on your skin, that wont break the bank, go to ink jam tattoos. you wont regret it.

I got a white tattoo here about 2 years ago. I completely forgot to write a review at the time - but after countless compliments this past week alone, I realized it’s definitely time. Jim is such an awesome artist and was up for the challenge of my all white ink (pretty small) tattoo, it’s had minimal fading over the past 2 years and it’s probably one of my favorite tattoos ever... definitely going back to see Jim soon for another piece!

I got my first tattoo here and it was a really positive experience. The staff were really nice and did an excellent job with my tattoo. I visited first to talk to a staff and book an appointment, and only a couple days later I had my tattoo. There is no parking lot but there is parking on the street. The one small complaint I have is that my tattoo was really expensive. It cost $100 but it’s a pretty small design. Other than that, I would definitely visit again for another tattoo since they did such a good job!

Ive gotten all of my tattoos from Ink Jam; I wont go anywhere else! Both Lauren and Jim have tattooed me, and they are so great at what they do. I would highly, highly recommend!

Incredible, perfesional, and friendly people. Got my first tattoo. I showed them a poorly drawn image that my friend made and paired it with a story. They took that and customized it and made something absolutely incredible! By far one of the best experiences of my life!
