Iron Palm Tattoo & Piercing deserves more than just a Guinness Book award for having done the largest tattoo. They deserve awards for having an awesome staff that is super awesome & nice, for having the most diverse set of tattoo artist where you can find an artist who has their own specialty, having the most comfortable tattoo shop that I have ever been in, and for having such amazing artist that will work with you to ensure you are happy with your tattoo. Rene Cristobal, whom was my artist was just absolutely amazing. The quality of art he does is just amazing. He has a way of making you feel comfortable during the entire process, and takes so much pride in his work. The integrity that this tattoo shop displays is how I feel all shops should be. From the initial consultation to the actual tattoo session, I was never disappointed. I promise you my pictures do not do my tattoo justice. It’s absolutely a work of art! We will deff be returning to Iron Palm for more work!

We came here at midnight as random walk-ins looking to get 4 tattoos. The staff was pretty friendly when they greeted us and agreed to take us even though it was midnight. They were easy and simple tattoos, and we were pleased with the results. The experience was a little unprofessional but that honestly didnt bother me at all. Im looking for good artists when I go to a tattoo shop, and thats what we got. The conversation was good and we felt welcomed while we were there. Im not from there, but if I ever found myself in the area, I would get another tattoo from there!**March 2024 Update**After the tattoo fully healed, the true line work is revealed. Unfortunately there are a lot of inconsistencies in the line work especially for such an easy tattoo. Which makes sense, being that it was the most painless tattoo that Ive ever gotten. That being said its not the worse line work Ive ever gotten from a shop, but its definitely worth noting.

Rene did an awesome jobs on my tattoo. Super professional and worked with me to get everything exactly as I wanted it. We were able to work very well together even though I speak pretty much no Spanish. Thanks, Rene!

I researched all the places in Atlanta. This was said to be the best and it did not disappoint. Viviana was perfect for what I wanted done. She was very sweet and made sure I was happy every step of the way! I couldn’t be happier.

Rene is amazing! His work is beautiful and he always provides a lot of different designs for you to choose from. He’s attention to detail is insane and he makes sure your comfortable as possible. I’ve had 3 large pieces done by him and will definitely be coming back for more. He usually charges $100-150 per hour I’ve notice and it takes about 6 hours for a quarter sleeve.

Wyte is an amazing artist. I took in a concept photo of what I was looking for and he drew a custom design for me that was amazing. He was kind and gentle throughout the tattoo process and made sure I was comfortable. I was so impressed, and everywhere I go people stop me to comment on my Ursula tattoo. The shop is also a vibe! If you are looking for amazing art, I recommend this place and ask for Wyte.

Went in for a belly button piercing at around 9, was finished in less than 15 minutes! I love how it came out and it was only $50 that included jewelry which is awesome because most places around me make you pay extra for the jewelry. Staff was welcoming and friendly, loved the vibe of the shop.

I received a tattoo from Rene Cristobal. It was a wonderful experience. I so appreciated his ability to connect with me and help me design the right size and layout for the tattoo that I had desired. His skills were incredible. And he made me feel comfortable through the entire process. Would definitely recommend him to any friends in the future. Amazing experience. Funk is an entire vibe. He has a great personality and walks you through everything start to finish. He listened and asked me questions during the process to make sure I was satisfied with his art. I honestly worried that this type of tattoo would like messy and dark on my skin. I worried for nothing. My work turned out gorgeous and I cannot wait to finish. If I had to complain about anything it would be finding the place. I got a little lost but was able to find it after I asked someone. Parking was easy and cheap. Id definitely recommend this place and I especially recommend Funk. He is the truth.

I had a phenomenal experience with tattoo artist Rene Cristobal at Iron Palm Tattoo. I love tattoos, but after a poor experience at a different shop in ATL, I was very hesitant to try again. Im so glad I found Iron Palm on Instagram. When I walked into Iron Palm and was greeted by Rene, who is so friendly and welcoming, I knew Id made the right decision. In fact, everyone that I encountered at Iron Palm was so open and nice -- the vibe was right from the minute I entered the door. Rene is an amazing artist with an impressive portfolio of work. I was initially intimidated to approach him with my simple, fine line tattoo project. However, he assured me that he loves doing intricate line work and seemed excited about the project. He created a few options for me to choose from, then tried different sizes to make sure the artwork fit the 2 areas I wanted tattooed just right. He made suggestions and really took his time on the consultation. When he started tattooing he worked efficiently, but did not seem rushed. He was gentle and the pain was minimal. The result was 2 perfect tattoos that I love! His line work is impeccable. I love it so much that I now want to add to the tattoo on my hand and expand his artwork.The shop is easy to find with a sign thats visible from the street with plenty of unattended paid parking nearby. (I didnt pay for my parking, I just parked -- though I wouldnt recommend that for anyone else.) The artists stations were clean and organized. Music was a positive element in the shop and added to the experience (old school R&B and hip-hop played during the ~2 hours I was there)I would recommend Rene to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and talented tattoo artist in a professional shop. I would give Rene Cristobal and Iron Palm Tattoo 20 stars if I could. Thank you for a fabulous experience.

Been going to this place since I moved out here. I really had enjoyed myself, and had gotten several tattoos from an artist named Funk. I came back for a color touch up with the same artist Funk, when he decided to change my tattoo without consulting me first. Image how I felt after. When I came back with the understanding I was just getting a touch up and I got a different result. It left a bad taste in my mouth and a mistrust for the artist. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction the artist apologized for not consulting me first, however it was too late. I will be finding a new tattoo artist needless to say.Updated: the color heal inconsistent and the drop shadow he said would fade is patchy around. Very disappointed and might have to get it removed. I don’t think he knows how to COLOR dark skin individuals

As a person getting their tattoo for the first time, this place was everything I could ask for and more! The inside had such a cool vibe. I went with a friend and she and I had such a good experience. The artist I worked with, Funk the World, was sanitary, communicative, and patient. His process was seamless and was overall very enjoyable. If I’m ever in Atlanta again, I’m definitely coming here for another!

I made an appointment with Wyte to do a cover up of my very first tattoo that was poorly done. It was supposed to be a girl on a surfboard with the word “Wahine” down the side. The original tattoo artist decided to use color and made a mess of the tattoo. Most folks couldn’t even tell what it was. I waited years to get it covered and was so glad that I did!Wyte was professional, took his time, and made sure that I was happy with the end result. And, I couldn’t be happier! He took several suggestions, came up with 4 possible images and had me proof them and complete a final check on the one I wanted.As a Georgia Bulldog Fan, I wanted to celebrate Uga X or Que and boy did Wyte deliver! I came in as a walk in for a double nose piercing. Front desk was nice and informative, and the wait was not long at all. Bulla was my piercer and they were very nice and comforting during the process. The room was clean and everything was sterilized. Thanks guys!

I had an awesome experience. I went in for a nose piercing. I went in as a walk-in and was in the back ready to get started before I could even finish the consent forms. Newjac did my piercing. He was awesome. I was so nervous but he and another young lady made me feel at ease. The whole thing was done in less than 20 seconds and there was little to no pain. I’m in Atlanta to celebrate my 40th birthday and this was the best bucket list gift. Now I’m wishing that I got a double lol. I’d give this place 10 stars. The place was clean. The people were nice. All my nervous questions were answered with a smile. I love my new piercing!

It’s such a cool vibe at this tattoo shop. I went to get my belly button pierced, late at night. I waited, got pierced and paid within 15 minutes. My piercer was NewJac. He was patient, professional and quick.

The experience wasn’t the best. The piercer didn’t make me feel comfortable as a paying customer at all. A professional piercer is supposed to show you that all of the needles and supplies that they are inserting into your skin are new and freshly out of the package. Well, that wasn’t what happened with me. The piercer had an attitude with me for demanding to be presented with clean objects. No detailed instructions on how to properly clean my piercing. How many times a day should I be doing so no details at all. I received cleaning spray bottle that looked really Janky. There was no brand on it just in a small spray bottle with yellow looking water that smelled old. The presentation of the cleaning spray I was provided was not appealing to buy at all. All in all, I didn’t have a good experience, and I should have went somewhere else.

Came here with a friend to get a belly piercing. After a few months of it not healing properly I went to another shop. Turns out Iron Palm failed to do an anatomy check (I don’t have the anatomy for this piercing evidently ) and on top of that they pierced it too shallow. My belly button is still scarred after 6 months. Avoid this place at all cost.The below response from Iron Palm highlights the immaturity and incompetence of this parlor. I had another piercer look at my piercing when purchasing jewelry and they recommended I immediately take it out. This was after Iron Palm suggested I use Witch Hazel to combat the inflammation.

Wanted to get a tattoo late in the evening and was so happy this shop was open. Wally was great with a light, deft hand. Wish I lived in Atlanta so I could go back, but glad to have found it while I was there.

Walked in wanting some conch piercings and was able to fill out some forms. A couple mins later I was in the chair with Newjac. He was super nice and made sure I liked my placements, the piercing process was super quick and I left a happy customer. Most def will be coming back in the future

I definitely debated about leaving a review of this location. I’ve visited this place about five times now. The first experience, I had accompanied my friend to get four tattoos and it gave me the opportunity to see the location. The second time I came with a friend to get our ears pierced and I had paid around $100 dollars (conch on right ear, laz parking, and saline solution). Afterwards it was an absolute hassle to deal with since I had an irritation bump that would just come and go. The piercer was kind and patient with me as, he offered solutions and looked at it from me. The post was changed because apparently the first one used was too small but, the bump was already there and it didn’t want to go away till it was finally removed. He even stated that it wasn’t either of our faults as all that could be done was done. He even agreed to repierce my ears which, is what marks my fifth visit. I was not able to get my ear pierced unfortunately. I arrived here around 1:40 pm and it’s 3:24 pm (I am writing this review from within the store). Each time I have come, I’ve had to pay money for parking and just deal with disappointment after disappointment. After this experience, I’ve simply just decided to go to another location which is truly infuriating because I have spent time and money. This was something I never expected to occur but, things happen. Also I’d like to add that the receptionist is not the friendliest person nor does she have the best customer service. I’d like to think you’d check up on a person or show that you car in some type of way when you see someone waiting for more than an hour.

I’m from Opelika Alabama drove almost 2 hours to this shop to get a cover up tattoo and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long and the artist that I got was BINK he was absolutely amazing I told him what I wanted and he made it happen and the detail is awesome of course he added his own touch to it and I absolutely love it. Never will I go anywhere else to get my work done it is definitely worth the drive. You will not be disappointed.

Whyte had over a week to plan for our tattoos as we had an appointment. Morning of, he said he stayed up all night and asked if we could reschedule. We ended up agreeing on a time that was a little later in the day and waited for an hour and he never showed. He sent us a picture of our tattoo later and it was just a tracing of one online. Maybe he saw it as free money since we had to place a deposit.

I came here for my second tattoo and touch up. They have a comfortable environment. The artists are knowledgeable, talented and masters of their craft. I will definitely come back. As for pricing, Im not sure what yo compare to. I believe their pricing is within reason.

I had to double back for a more detailed tattoo. Regardless of all the moving I did she kept it together making it better than any tattoo I have with minimum pain and realistic prices.

I literally found this place randomly after a previous Targus piercing appointment fell through the same day. I called they said walk right in, I signed in and within a few minutes I was in Newjac’s chair. He was cool af, explained the process, made sure my placement was right and talked to me the whole time. He gave easy care instructions and the process was quicker than I thought and more painless than I imagined. I’m definitely coming back so Newjac can pierce my entire ear 💯

The whole experience was perfect . The price , the atmosphere, the people and most importantly the outcome of my tattoo. I got a tattoo as a tribute to my grandma who recently just passed away and i didn’t really know how i wanted it to look. Just the two ideas that i wanted to put together. But Lyric made it perfect. The lines are great and it’s just my favorite tattoo. I will definitely be back to this tattoo shop next time i come to visit Atlanta

Don’t come here for piercingswhat happened (edit): your “professional piercer” pierced my belly button and 3 days later it started to sink into my skin. I had to go to another shop for them to tell me the piercing was done completely wrong. Im from western NY and recently moved to Atlanta and Im pleased to say I think I found a local piercer that does a great job, made me feel comfortable, and is knowledgeable about piercings.

I had a great experience here. Went in on a random Wednesday for an eyebrow piercing. Khem was my piercer, she was very nice and friendly and it only took a few minutes. All of the staff was friendly, clean place and great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning here for more piercings and possibly tattoos. Very reasonably priced, too.

Pudge was the miracle worker I needed to help recover a horrible tattoo I received from an artist on the west coast. He really brought the heat (literally) with this beautiful sun tattoo! He had a super gentle hand and it was a very quick and easy process for him to figure out the proper cover up and for him to execute it beautifully! Preciate you Pudge! He is a guest artist at the shop, so I would highly recommend getting in as soon as possible. Found IronPalm on Google when I was working out of town, came in for a double nipple piercing. Super nervous but Newjac was AMAZING. Around 12:41AM they picked up and were ready to ink me up that night; despite them closing at 2. I told them I would get back to them at a more appropriate hour the next day once I decided what I wanted. Even at almost 1am on a Tuesday night (Wednesday morning)—the customer service and readiness to ink was refreshing! Can’t wait to get some new pieces here ASAP

Awesome experience! I went to get my tongue pierced, the establishment was clean and relaxed. The piercer Bulla is quick and I had minimal pain. He explained what sized bar he used and why and what I needed to do for after care. All in all a great experience definitely recommend..

Overall experience was good. The team of artist are very laid back and cool. My initial interaction through email inquiry was very informative. However, I never really knew who I was speaking with. I wanted to schedule an appointment with Outlaw but that never happened. I showed up at time I was told he would be there and he wasnt in for another 2 hours. Long story short Binks and piercing guy took care of me. Very friendly and professional. Only request is that they do make it a habit of offering aftercare for tattoos. Otherwise I will be back. Almost 2 weeks later

My experience at Ironpalm tattoos was so comforting. The music was a good 2000s emo that I like and the staff was very kind and inviting. I had come for a walk in tattoo with friends and got Renee as my artist. The attendant at the counter with red hair explained to me he didn’t speak mush English and as Renee greeted me he told me he doesn’t speak much English but has a translator on his phone. Do NOT go here!!!! I am beyond pissed. I didnt know you could still get Hepatitis from a tattoo artist. They do not practice appropriate safety practices. I was a customer here and now have Hepatitis B. I am so upset and hurt. Now I have to deal with the medical consequences. The company hangs up when I call and denies I was ever there. This is a shady tattoo place. Do not go here unless you want to deal with what I now have to deal with. My life and health is now affected.

Went for Friday 13th tattoos, of course had to wait long but that comes with the territory. Once I was taken ti get my tattoo done, I was designated to Renée. I’m visiting Atlanta for the summer and wanted to bring back some ink from a local shop. Iron Palm was perfect. First, there’s a Kaepernick mural on the side of the building - so I was sold right away.While I waited, I sat outside of the shop with a group of friends/artists/locals that grew as the night went on. People kept coming by to chat. It was a great way to pass the time until my design was finished.And then the actual tattoo itself came out great. The design (by Sketch) was great, the actually tattooing went smoothly, the instruments were clean, and the music set the perfect mood.My only negative note is that you’ll have to pay for parking across the street. There’s nothing nearby, and the lot requires payment 24/7 ($10).

I came to Atlanta with my friends and we had spontaneously thought to get a tattoo for Friday the 13th for their flash. But the line was so long, so we left our name and info just in case. But the next day we had called to see if we can do a walk in but they said they had our info and could come in right away! The receptionist was really nice and cool of her to help us out.I requested Rene after seeing his work (but honestly everyone’s work was dope) and he instantly was so friendly and welcoming. Helped me picked my tattoo and adjust if needed. During the tattoo process, he was so gentle and quick but not in a rushing way. He just got into the zone and did his thing. My friends saw Zeus and he hooked them up too! We definitely want to come back to them whenever we come back. Best souvenir from ATL.

I walked into this shop around the end of August 2017. The shop looked unkempt and frankly run down (should of been my first warning). I met with Dame and told him I wanted the word “Yourself” tattooed on my middle finger in red ink. Dame informed me he was a senior artist and agreed to do the tattoo. I have numerous tattoos over my entire body in black&white and color, none with and issues. Dame placed a blue stencil on my skin before the permanent red ink.Once he started tattooing the red ink, the lines began to look purple-ish due to them merging over the blue. It was very hard to see what was tattooed and what was not. Dame attempted to go over the tattoo multiple times to make sure it was all covered. Now that my tattoo is completely healed I can clearly see the letter “u” was not tattooed enough. I called, emailed and sent photos. They informed me that finger tattoos fade quickly and made me feel like this is my doing. This tattoo is less than a month old and you can judge for yourself in the picture I posted. I lines are also very uneven, thick at the top and thin at the bottom.Dame was a pleasure to work with but if this is what a senior artist’s work looks like i’m scared for the shop. I am unable to go back to the shop because I live in another state. All I wanted is for the $75 I paid back since I have to pay to get it fixed, covered up or even removed. Every time I call they take my number and say they will get back to me asap and then no response for days until I reach out again and again.... I have now given up on this shop and I wish all of you future customers the best of luck. xoxo

Went today to get my nose pierced and I must saw the experience was an entire vibe. I did my research and read the reviews to prepare myself for the good or bad. The staff was very professional and friendly. I got a Black Ink vibes but a peaceful. Khem, who pierced my nose was very nice and very knowledgeable about her work. Her station was sterilized and she was already set up before calling me back. She explained how she was going to pierce my nose, what to expect after the piercing, the healing process, and aftercare. I highly recommend this shop. By the way Khem did 3 nose in rings in one setting.

I went for the Friday the 13 deal they had and honestly they did well. The wait was long but honestly what else is someone supposed to expect. I had Funk and the vibes are immaculate and the designs were amazing. Highly recommend and will be going back for another tattoo.

Due to the rating we visited this shop The girl upfront was nice. Came in for nose piercing came out questioning everything. The piercer was somewhat nice, however hard to understand to add he did not make me feel comfortable. My nose piercing end up being at the wrong angle. I ended up having to go up the street to get it taken out and now i have to wait two weeks to get it pierced again.

The tattoos I got were well done but I was overcharged. Here’s how I found out I was being overcharged. I was first told my thigh tattoo was going to be $2100. Automatically I knew that was a red flag. I’m only getting a few bands around my thigh (7). I said that price was too high (over text messages) and I’m going to think about it. Then they said, I can take off one band and the price will drop to $1500. That didn’t add up at all, and I don’t need to explain why. But if you still don’t understand; and you are getting your first tattoos (6), like I was here’s why. If I’m getting 7 bands in total, why would my total price be $2100 and you take out 1 band and it drops to $1500. Because 1 band doesn’t cost $700 dollars. She told me that was my final price. I went to another tattoo shop and I paid $800 for the same artwork. That’s what I get for going to a black-owned shop. I really tried to help out the community and I got played. Not every shop is like that, I know. My advice to you, compare prices before making Iron Palm your final choice!!

Unfortunately, I did NOT get tattooed at this location. Who ever works at the front desk needs to stay in the back. He was SO NASTY AND SO RUDE towards me. I showed him a picture of my tattoo that I wanted and I guess he felt like being a jester that day and was extremely condescending towards my inspiration. I was never rude or disrespectful towards him however, he was too comfortable talking to me in such a disrespectful manner. My friend and I gladly walked away as it js 2023 and being kind and respectful goes a long way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP.

She is very detailed when it come to her craft and I love when someone takes out the time to ask me about her artwork. Prices were pretty good, but just know you get what you pay for. I recently came into the shop for a nose piercing with Khem. This is my second nose nostril piercing in over 6 years. I had some issues with healing my first time so I was a bit nervous about this time. Khem was strategic in picking jewelry that would stay in place during my healing process. She educated me on post-piercing cleanliness and advised me to contact her if I have any concerns in the next few months. She uses sterile and medical grade equipment which alleviated my infection worries. The shop overall is clean and has had some recent additions so more people can be served efficiently. Will be coming back!

Amazing experience, my wife and her friend walked in around 8 pm on a Saturday, they were more than happy to give us some quality tattoos at a very fair price. Will definitely be back one day!

It 1 star for what I witnessed. I personally watched Khem get assaulted (pushed out the room twice) I will be posting it on TikTok. Khem refused to let the incident define her work. Instead, she continued to create breathtaking work dedicated to my MOMMY, showcasing her unwavering passion and dedication to her craft.I cannot emphasize enough how fortunate I feel to have witnessed the talent and professionalism . Despite the unfortunate circumstances, her work continues to inspire and amaze me. I have no doubt that she will continue to thrive and create exceptional art, serving as a true testament to their resilience and passion.Khem’s work speaks for itself, and her dedication to her craft is truly exceptional.I hope she stands up for herself

Wally pierced my nose & made me laugh the entire time. Probably helped that I was a little buzz but overall he was pleasant & quick with it. Not to mention they’re reasonably priced for a piercing. My nose never looked cuter. Thanks Wally!

They’re a trash company. Don’t go there. The people are rude and disgusting. They harass you about sending reviews to them when you didn’t go to them. I simply called to ask them to remove my info from their database etc and the girl answering said JUST BLOCK MY NUMBER AND I MAY NOT TXT YOU. Like what?! Then she went on to say I was there and blah blah. Didn’t dawn on her someone may have given her the wrong number or whatever. Many possibilities there. She was rude as she wanted to be and NO I HAVENT HAD A TATOO OR PIERCING SINCE I WAS 15 I’m dang almost 35 😒 she said I was there last night. I have photos but I’m creating a post about this situation on my account. I’m reporting this to BBB and I’m containing the owner.

Her knowledge and professionalism were evident, and I felt confident in her abilities. Khems attention to detail and precision were truly impressive.Not only did she provide exceptional service, but she also created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Most of my tattoos & piercings were done at this shop by different artists. They will forever have me as a client because of their great customer service and professionalism. I highly recommend going there for all your piercings and tattoos. I wish there was an option for a thousand stars !!
