Thunderbolt Tattoo

I was looking for a nice clean shop that was not like most tattoo parlors. This shop is AMAZING!! Not grimy, very friendly, positive and upbeat! I felt safe and welcomed. The artist helped me create the design that I wanted. The best part of this experience is that this parlor felt cozy.

Got my helix and other lobe piercings done by maya! she is absolutely amazing and probably the nicest person on this planet ever. she is so incredibly professional and my piercings legit didn’t hurt at all AND she gave me such thorough advice about which piercings i should get and how to take care of them

I loved my experience with Maya at Thunderbolt Tattoo! She is so sweet and thorough, communicative, patient, and professional. I felt safe in her hands and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get pierced. The shop receptionist was great too with greeting me as soon as I walked in as well as being pleasant and informative on the phone. The shop is also nice and clean. A 10/10 experience!

I had quite an amazing experience from this shop alone compared to a lot of other shops I been to in the Atlanta area. When you first walk in you have a great shop manager to greet you named JR. When I had my first ever interaction on the phone with him prior to coming inside the shop, he was the most friendliest in the hospitality section of other tattoo shops. Every time I would call other shops it would be sort of blunt and cold cut. It was like a feeling that they kind of hated what they did. My first time there I wasn’t even going in for a tattoo… it was for some lobe piercings. Now, I have two sleeves from Saje who was very kind and loves the work she does. You can tell she puts effort into her art. I’ve been a regular since November 7th 2021 and I don’t see myself stopping until I get everyone in that shop to tattoo a section of my body. If anyone ever needs to get tattooed by Saje I highly recommend, because she can perfect any style graciously!

Ive been going to Saje at Thunderbolt Tattoo since 2018 or 2019. Shes done almost all the tattoos Ive got (both arm sleeves and some leg tattoos) and shes gonna be doing my leg sleeve next. I recommend her and anyone at Thunderbolt to anyone that asks for a shop recommendation.

Thank you Angelina for yet another beautiful addition to my arm! I am always to pleased when I leave this shop. This is my second tattoo from Angelina and my fourth from this shop. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Angelina is so easy to talk to, quick with email response and extremely talented in her artwork. I have seen her twice now and already cant wait to schedule my next appt! She specializes in mandalas, florals, Japanese and geometric tattoos. I will continue to rave about her and this shop!

Ive been going to Thunderbolt Tattoo since 2018. My latest projects have been with the talented artist Angelina Kaduk. I have an arm sleeve that combines traditional Japanese with geometric and dot work styles from many different artists. I wanted to continue this theme down my leg. Angelina has been very collaborative and adaptable as we find the best aspects of each style to build out my leg sleeve. Shes taken on the challenge as a single artist that multiple artists have accomplished collectively. She is patient and transparent in her communications. By trusting her guidance and suggestions, weve come up with some innovative, unique tattoo designs that I cant find anywhere on this side of the world.

First time here, and I’m 100% sure this is MY SHOP to go to whenever I want a good, quality tattoo. Establishment is dope, as are the crew! Thank you for the lotus, Duel! You’re a badass!And thanks for the phone photobomb 😂😂

4th tattoo yet, no clear mission in mind for what I wanted. Knew most of what i wanted but couldnt pull it all together. Then Joe stepped in and it all came out amazing. He walked me through the process and informed me of the different elements of my tattoo and how they would fit together. Great conversation punctual and everything else, lined up perfect. Couldnt be happier.

It would be tough to find a less inviting tattoo parlor in ATL

I got a conch and rook piercing, and Maya was AMAZING! She was so kind, so helpful, and most importantly, SO patient with my indecisive self not rushing me with the positioning or any other hesitations I had. And they turned out amazing! Best piercing experience ever. :)

Josh May is amazing, go and pay him a visit for your next tattoo. Josh is down to earth, my kind of dude to hang out with and have a really good conversation while getting spectacular art.

I like this place. The shop was not overcrowded. My guy cleaned his hands, had a clean workspace, and wore a mask. He showed me what I was getting before starting the work, to gain my approval. He even shared some crazy and hilarious experiences. He worked fast, but carefully. I was educated on how to care for my tattoo.

Had a great experience here - I was nervous going in because this was essentially my first tattoo. Angelina put me at ease and the staff in general made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Cute and clean place with a great vibe. I love the way my tattoo turned out!

If I could rate this more than 5 stars I would. Being my first tattoo experience, I had no idea what to expect. Long story short, Im already looking forward to having more tattoos done here. I have had 4 tattoos done here by Saje and I have loved each one. My latest two were especially wonderful! She is very detail oriented and I keep coming back for her exceptional line work. Just got my 5th tattoo done by Saje Gary. I keep coming back to her because she is incredibly talented and patient and makes me feel comfortable every time! I got a tattoo on my sternum and was incredibly anxious about the placement being just right, she had no problem with stenciling it multiple times! Great tattoo shop! Joe Vegas did a sleeve on me and it turned out perfect. The other artists in the shop are very welcoming and helpful also. One of the best shops in Atlanta! (Update) Im actually getting my other sleeve done by Joe Vegas as we speak.

Great place!!! Saje is the bomb! She took me on as a walk in, and even scheduled me in later on the day I wanted to get my tattoo. She’s super professional. She communicated with me from start to finish. She was so nice, an absolute sweetheart! She made me feel comfortable and welcomed! Her work is more than extraordinary! I didnt really go in, but my bf went in for his first ever free consultation, and he was so happy after. There were No more worries or questions. This is the place where he is 100% comfortable to get his first tattoo. So its a 5 star place for me

I did not get pierced here, but I did come to get some new jewelry put in. Maya helped me pick out jewelry for my nose & cartilage, and she put it in for me. She also worked with me on finding a post size that would not be visible from inside my nostril once in. I had a great experience and would definitely go back for a piercing woth Maya!

Got my first Tattoo here today! Josh and the staff were very helpful from my design idea to any advice they had, no pressure at all to get anything , anything I asked they answered politely. Josh did my tattoo and I’m glad I came to this place because , my body apparently didn’t like what was happening in the process of getting inked lol needless to say they handled the situation like a walk in the park I felt very comfortable and taken care of . No worries at all. would recommend anytime any day! Definitely coming back for my sleeve !!💯💯💯💯

I researched some of the top shops in Atlanta, and both my girlfriend and myself felt that Thunderbolt Tattoo was the right fit, and they did not disappoint. Everyone was very friendly and really cool. We had Sage as our artist, and could not be happier with her work. In addition to being an amazing artist, she’s super cool. We highly recommend Thunderbolt Tattoo, and will definitely be back for our next ones!

I met with Chad about replacing two pieces I lost for my conch and nose. He was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. First shop I found in a long time that had exactly what I wanted and needed. If I ever decide on another piercing, I’ll definitely be headed here. The color is beautiful. They had he best selection I have seen in the south!

I came across this place and I looked at the reviews and everyone seemed to have great reviews for the piercer, Chad. I have to say I agree with all the great reviews. I was getting my ears pierced for the very first time and he explained everything so well and just made it obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing. He made me feel really calm about the process. I had a really great experience and I totally recommend him

Got my first tattoo with Saje and she did great. It was a very simple design but I wanted to establish a relationship with an artist I could come back to. I will definitely come back to her. I love her style and shes very professional and friendly. Made me very comfortable for my first tattoo.

It took me a minute to find Duel again. As I am not a regular at getting tattoos, however, when I get them they are a pretty decent size for me and they mean a lot to me. Duel is my go to for this. He has an exceptionally creative mind and I can send him a couple pictures/ideas and he can turn it into art. He is always so patient and kind and I love his energy. I am so glad I know where he is again and I will always follow him. Amazing artist !!

Its been almost two years since I got my tattoo here, but every time I see it, I fall more and more in love with it. I did a little research before I came to the shop and wanted to see if Josh May could do what I wanted. He was super nice and when I came back, the design was perfect. I was nervous because it was my first tattoo, but he made me feel super comfortable, and the whole session went by smoothly. After he finished, he showed it to me, and it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I had been planning to get this tattoo for almost 4 years and when I saw it, it was better than I could have even imagined. The line work on the cursive was flawless and to this day, I have not been able to find one, single dot out of place. Amazing service, wonderful atomosphere, and you will leave with the tattoo of your dreams. I 105% would recommend making Thunderbolt your top choice when thinking about getting your next tattoo.

Read some reviews online before coming in today, wanted to get my ears pierced but was a little nervous. After my experience with Chad, I left feeling awesome!! Got a double helix and it looks amazing. They explained everything so thoroughly, 10/10 would recommend

Chad is absolutely the best!!! I was a nervous wreck and he made me very comfortable. Chad followed aseptic technique, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I’m a nurse and I’m very particular when it comes to invasive procedures, and he exceeded my expectations by far. He was patient, caring, and extremely professional. I go to Thunderbolt for piercing services. The piercer Chad is one of the top best. Always professional, polite, and most of all attentive. He always has a great attitude. Extremely knowledgeable about his craft/skills. He knows the world of piercing hands down-from the jewelry to the anatomy of the body (where to place the piercing, how to take care of the piercing based on where its located, just everything). He shares his knowledge with his clients and always, always answers my questions-whether I come in to the shop or not. Super glad I found Thunderbolt. Every time I need to see Chad I drive about and hour from my home just to see him. I wont go to anyone else. He puts safety first and always practices the proper sterilization and aseptic techniques. Please Chad dont go anywhere any time soon!!

I got a tattoo from Saje! Let me start by saying that its EXACTLY what I wanted. Her line work is amazing. I couldnt be happier. Im not from here and I was nervous finding an artist. I am so glad I did my research that led me to her. My spine tattoo is so straight and clean. I will definitely be back. An added bonus is that she is the sweetest person EVER. Very professional. Very clean, super professional and these guys are amazing at what they do! I have had multiple piercings done by Darby and I have never had any problems with my piercings or been made to feel uncomfortable in any way; he always talks me through every step and if I ever have any questions after the fact he is never hard to get a hold of and is very informative always. Ive also had several sessions with Joe Vegas and I get nothing but compliments on my half sleeve. Ive seen nothing but good work coming out of this shop from everyone who works there and even though the shop is new; the artists clearly are not. Love the cleanliness of the shop, the vibe of everyone there, and I continue to feel pleasantly surprised with how they can take my ideas above and beyond what I ever even thought!

The location isnt terrible but is on a high traffic route. The stores interior is very clean and inviting. Great ambiance and playlist of tracks that makes the experience from lobby to the backrooms easygoing. Kandice did a fantastic job on my wifes tattoo of a Lunar Moth. And the wife was very satisfied with it. It was worth the charge and I assure you, we will be going back for future tattoos by her.

If you need a new piercing, go see Emily! She did an amazing job. Was extremely clean and thorough, and I could not be happier with her work. The space is very unique and holds incredible artworks throughout. Thank you again, Emily!

My husband and I both got pierced by Chad. The entire staff was super chill and polite and Chad was incredibly professional and explained everything step by step. We would definitely recommend visiting Chad for any piercing needs, and we cant wait to go back for our next ones!

Kind of subpar. they may be amazing for tattoos, im not sure, but when I went in to get a piercing I booked an appointment for 4pm and didnt even get to see the piercer until 6. according to the man at the counter, the appointment i booked wasnt a real one, and they made me reschedule to a 5:30. Somehow, it was still 30mins late to the new appointment. Furthermore, the piercing was 85$ (100$ with the forced tip) to accommodate for covid. Ive gotten that same piercing at two other shops before, and its always been 40$. Its a fine shop if you have extra time on your hands and extra money, and maybe they were having a bad day, but honestly I probably wouldnt go back.

I came here after I went to a different shopfor a piercing that was dirt cheap and you can say I got what I paid for at the other place. I came to Thunderbolt and Chad helped me get right! He was really nice and Efficient! I was so nervous but he talked me through the whole process! Definitely would come back and recommend him to others!!

Called last minute and PROPH got me right in! It was my first tattoo and he made me feel 100% safe, calmed me down and talked me through the whole process. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be back!

Decided to take a trip with my niece last year in November. I was very skeptical 🤨 about getting my nose 👃 pierced. I’m so glad I did, so, I started doing some shopping around for tattoo parlors who pierced body parts as well.... After coming across thunderbolt and reading reviews. I made my final decision and told my niece to take me to get my nose pierce. This place was one of the most cleanest places I ever stepped in, not to mention Chad, who pierced my nose 👃 he was genuinely sweet as well as gentle and patient because I was nervous 😟 Chad made sure he sterilized every single thing before piercing my nose. If I could give this place a 💯 ⭐️ I will. If you are ever in Atlanta Georgia 🇬🇪 and want to get any body piercing done. I highly recommend this place!

Really friendly staff & decent ambience, fairly clean environment, but very overpriced. I got one small word on my thigh that took maybe 40mins max to finish & it cost $80. This is my 6th & most basic, least detailed tattoo. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend. It’s kind of a rip off. I was quoted a $60 estimate over the phone but thought maybe it’d even be less when I got there & the artist could see how simple it was. Turned out to be $20 extra

Ive been going to this shop for a while now, and I dont think Ill ever switch shops. The entire staff has always been nice and provides a great environment. Josh May has been doing all my tattoos for years and I honestly think that there is no one better in the field.

I had a belly peircing I thought had closed up after 12 years and Emily helped me open it back without even having to pierce it again. They are extremely clean and super friendly. If i ever get another tatoo, I am going there. Extremely professional too!

I had an appt for a consult but they apparently didnt put it in their book. They were not accommodating considering they screwed up. Had me wait 30 minutes for absolutely nothing. It seems as if they cater to women. I could barely get a word in with anyone. That would have been understandable if they were busy. From the outside looking in, they werent. If there was something going on, they simply could have communicated that with me and we could have possibly worked something out. One person wont stop their business from thriving, but my money will not be spent there.

Great experience getting some work on my traditional Japanese half sleeve from Joe Vegas! Highly recommend him as he is an expert in irizumi. Shop was friendly and inviting and you can tell the focus is on the art not how fancy the from of the shop can look to sell you. Give them a go you wont regret it.

I have gotten multiple tattoos from Joe Vegas. His artwork is amazing! I highly recommend this tattoo shop. Joe is capable of many different styles and really listens to his clients concerning details.
