Ink Impressions Tattoo

I got my first tattoo here about 3 years ago with a friend. At first it was super chill, but as the session went on it kinda sucked. He smokes in his own shop and takes breaks to do so, I mean I left smelling like a cigarette factory. He has some extremist humor and made the session uncomfortable as he cracked political, sexist, and religious jokes. And though I brought my own design he didnt clean it up rather had us do so. Which was fine and a fun activity, but the weight he put in the needle was so uneven I have lines that go from completely faded to blown out, and alot of shakey lines as well. And with an uncomfortable experience there i dont plan to get it touched up by him. So when you go here getting charged at $100 per hour Know you get what you pay for :/

Forgot to leave a review a while back I believe, so leaving one now. Jakob is a great tattoo artist and knows how to keep you comfortable. Here is something he did for me a few years back. Even has my sisters name worked in.

A friend and I Went to get a tattoo from Jakob as a walk in a few months back. All and all a great experience. He is an awesome guy and I was very satisfied with his work. Loved the vibes I got from the shop. One thing I can be sure of is he was not rushing anything just to get paid, he took his time making sure that every detail was finished and seem to be completely happy to do so even though we came in late. Had a good conversation with him while we were there and can tell hes a decent person. Would absolutely revisit for another piece and good company 👍.

I went here for my first tattoo at 18 and have not gone anywhere else! Ive recommended and seen great work done on family and friends :) Jakob is reasonable in prices, his shop is full of character and we always have a good time when we walk through the door. I like how Jakob is up front and honest about the tattoo and I always leave smiling with an awesome new tattoo!

Jakob at Ink Impressions is amazing! He was very detailed and took his time to get my tattoo just right! He was so friendly and easy going. His prices are fair and lower than the competition, but just as food if not better. I would 100% recommend him and his shop!

I’ve been going to Jakob at ink impressions for about two years now and he does amazing work! Currently working on filling up my sleeves. Every session we have is always a good time, great conversations and most importantly good quality tattoos. My mom and sister have gone to him as well and love his work. I definitely recommend coming here for all your tattoo and piercing needs.

My boyfriend came in for a galaxy lion tattoo & was told by Jakob that he could do it & took $40 as a “down payment” to draw up the tattoo. Said he would do the exact tattoo & that he would message us when it was done. We had to message him, he did not message us to keep us informed about the tattoo for almost 2 months we have been waiting to hear back. Coming in to the shop, & messaging the shop. This is very unprofessional & if you couldn’t do the tattoo at least tell us that you can’t instead of taking someone’s money & making them think you can. & also you should have kept us informed & messaged us about it instead of us messaging you. Very unfortunate. Edit: since the owner commented a bunch of lies I will edit. He is very childish & unprofessional. Yes this tattoo was not for me but I was there & my boyfriend has asked me to put this review down as he sits beside me. Jakob was very childish & began to call us names because we don’t recommend him. At the shop he talked very poorly of other shops when his work isn’t all that great either. Jeremy wanted a lion, the tattoo he showed him was what he wanted which did have a leopard but he wanted a lion, other than just the cat change he wanted the tattoo which was a half face of a big cat & a galaxy background. That’s the tattoo he wanted. He didn’t want the full thing just the half which was pictured. My review is not flawed it is simply what we experienced. Jakob was not in contact with Jeremy. Jeremy had to constantly message Jakob in regards of the tattoo because Jakob took his time. The result of Jeremy messaging Jakob, jakob asked Jeremy to come in to take a look at the drawling. Jeremy has told me to write that it was definitely not 2 months of work & that it looked like a 5 year old drew it. $40 wasted. The fact of the matter is Jakob did not keep in contact with Jeremy at all, Jeremy had to constantly go into the shop & message Jakob asking about what’s going on & why it’s taking so long. Jakob is very upset about this review so he stopped low to name calling which is also very unprofessional. It’s fine, we found a better tattoo artist who can do the exact picture Jeremy wanted except to change the leopard to a lion, who is also professional & doesn’t get upset if he’s not recommended. Jakob also said that he could do the exact tattoo but took his time. We think it’s because he didn’t want to do it or that he couldn’t. The tattoo Jeremy showed him had a lot of color & a lot of detail. He never recommended any other shops to Jeremy. We have the messages still.

I recently got a beautiful old school tattoo done and Im absolutely impressed by the detail by the time that it took for him to sit down with me and go through all the steps this is a true tattoo artist I give him five stars

Wildly unprofessional - which was cool at first, I enjoyed the vibe until they botched the easiest tattoo I’ve ever gotten in a manner than can’t be touched up, I’d need a cover-up tattoo. I could see maybe coming here for a quicky but never for serious workTo tack on to being unprofessional Ive been accused of lying and apparently the owner lost the paperwork lol - Take a look at these tattoos and tell me youd ever come here for something serious. The apprentice botched the spacing because the expert owner called him over mid work to check out a youtube video. I re-iterate - Wildly unprofessional DO NOT come here for serious work

Me and my gf went here as walk ins for our first tattoos and jakob did a really good job of walking us through the whole process and did an amazing job

Was just in there loved the shop , definitely an amazing artist, the atmosphere was cool , definitely check this place out .

Jakob is awesome and was the first place I went to get my first tattoo. My last one was a mother & daughter tatttoo and will be back again soon.

Jakob is the man! Talk you through everything. Makes sure youre getting what you want . Thorough, skilled and a great guy to chat with.

Jacob did a piece on my back for my brother that passed away and he did an amazing job the coloring still looks like it was yesterday an it just beautiful...it dose need a touch up ....but it still looks great ...
